I’d like to throw my two cents in on the “Tango dies needlessly curse” subject, and say I disagree. I don’t think it was pointless this time

Is it a trend that he dies in a silly and stupid manner? Yes. Is that the case this time? In a way. Scar just broke the floor from under him and let him drop.

But it was a death borne of revenge for an act of revenge for a violent task. Scar wanted the Heart Foundation dead, and he dedicated himself to making that happen. Are the consequences of the tasks pointless? Especially for Scar, where the tasks he was given left him alone and hated?

Tango also just…knew it was coming. He was a dead man walking, no matter the amount of gifted hearts. He could’ve gone on a rampage, frantically setting traps, rushing in to score kills, never being able to let down his guard because anything could kill him. Or he could do what he did, which was spend time with his allies, goof off with them, and follow the man he knew would kill him. I think he was at peace with it, because any other action would be to live paranoid and violent and reckless, and who wants to go out like that? Best to go out laughing and setting something on fire for the hell of it. Is that choice pointless?

Unfortunately yeah. There was a lot more of it going around at the time of the funeral episode and again (and much moreso) at the time of the finale. Personally I think it’s harder to headcanon Jamie’s feelings as solely platonic in the bar scene unless you come at it from “he was just saying all that to piss off Roy” angle, and people were Very Upset that Jamie might Dare to still be into her. Tbh I think a lot of it was/is the product of (imo misguided) anger from people who either 1) were very pissed Roy and Keeley weren’t endgame or 2) held very strong opinions about the Roy and Jamie bar scene being the worst thing to happen in the history of television or whatever. (Which, to be clear I can 100% understand disliking either writing choice for various reasons. It’s just that that anger somehow extended to people being FURIOUS that jamie would confirm he’s still got feelings for Keeley because he’s “never cared about her like that and they barely interact and Keeley OBVIOUSLY doesn’t give a shit about Jamie and hasn’t paid him attention since s1, so Jamie just doesn’t know what he’s saying. he’s clearly confused and emotionally immature” etc. which like, look. idk…But TO ME…If you’re gonna be angry about that scene…Boy is that the wrong part to be angry about, lol.

How can you "stand with israel" when Israel's winning condition of this "conflict" is the eradication of the native population?

I reblogged a single post about children pleading for their lives that’s not standing with shit. Posting isn’t fuck activism and I’m sick of pretending like it is. Have you called your representatives, have you been voting with Israel in mind for past elections? If you’re an American Christian and you give money to your church you’re most likely standing with Israel more than I am. Christian tourism to Israel is one of the most lucrative travel industry on the planet and it’s mostly“non profit” through church donations. It directly benefits American evangelicals for Israel to exist. If you really believe in a free Palestine kill yourself in front of a pastor. Y’all are so ready to say all deaths are justified for anti colonialism. Better yet kill yourself on the steps of capital hill or drive to a reservation and do it there at least you’ll die with your white guilt satisfied. The win condition for western civilization is the eradication of indigenous people groups.

Yes colonialism is bad. Yes what has been happening in Palestine for decades is nothing short of genocide. But killing individual Israeli citizens is not the solution. Doing antisemitism online is not the solution. Posting on fucking tumblr dot com isn’t a solution. Extending basic empathy to children on both sides of the conflict is also not a solution but it feels a lot better than calling for mass death
