ok hi! adam anon here. i might have to make this concept into a couple asks because i have way too many opinions and thoughts on this. so after all the paladins ran off in the blue lion the garrison would definitely want to do more research into the areas of space they've never gone to before. shiro confirmed that there were in fact aliens out there and after the kerberos mission and then all of that. you see what i mean? -part 1 (also i'm very sorry some asks seem confusing, i get very excited)

(adam anon part 2) adam was always the one who would stay behind, he was never the one who would go up into space. but when given the option he jumps on it and decides to go on one of the missions exploring past kerberos. they stopped sending up people after his mission. here's where there's a little more gray area because i don't really do details well but either a wormhole, galra interference, or just other things. but he also ended up stuck in space

(adam anon part 3) so he learns about the war going on and about the paladins of voltron and decides to help them out, even if he can't get in touch with them. he travels from rebel group to rebel group helping to overthrow galra activities on smaller planets. doing everything he can for the war. at this point there is no doubt in his mind that shiro, keith, and perhaps the missing cadets are with voltron. however a lot of these planets don't have contact with voltron directly

(adam anon part 4) adam travels around different planets aiding in war efforts while also attempting to educate himself about a whole new world that he was just thrown into. meanwhile shiro and the rest of voltron have absolutely no idea that adam is even in space. well they had no idea any other humans were in space until one day when they go to free a planet under galra control only to find it had been liberated only a week before. and one of the main rebels looked as if they were human
