actually i dont think ive posted my thoughts on ofmd s2 overall here yet have i?

ok here goes: i think it had incredibly high highs, and at some parts i genuinely enjoyed it more than i did the first season, episode 6 being peak imo. however, it had equally abysmal lows with some glaring writing-, tone- and pacing issues that all came to a head in the finale.

i once read someone say that, if you ever feel like a finale ruined the whole story, maybe you should take another look at the story. there were most likely cracks and problems all along, and the finale did nothing besides dashing the hope that these would perhaps be addressed later. very rarely do genuinely well written stories go completely off the rails in the finale and ruin the whole thing.

i think this is applicable here in some ways, SPECIFICALLY in regards to edward. good god edward was a MESS this season, and it's so sad because i loved the starting point! the kraken era was absolutely terrifying and iconic as FUCK but... they shouldn't have leaned so hard into the drama and trauma of it all. don't get me wrong, i loved that it did. it's one of my favorite parts of the season and i'm so glad we got it. but if they wanted this arc to work with the overarching plot as they wrote it, they would've had to lighten up the tone here CONSIDERABLY. had they played the kraken era for comedy then sure! edward's bad youtuber apology would've been funny. his fast redemption would've been less jarring. the lack of consequences less disturbing. but as it stands in the show, this arc is too dark to function with the later episodes.

i feel like they wanted to have their cake and eat it too here. they wanted the gritty drama of ed coming off the hinges entirely but also didn't want to deal with the aftermath of such a heavy arc in their silly pirate romcom. be that due to time constraints and budget cuts or because they were simply unwilling to, doesn't really matter in the end. the result is the same either way: a very tonally messy season with some accidentally troubling implications regarding abuse.

and mentioning troubling implications regarding abuse; izzy. my poor, poor izzy... his arc was absolutely glorious. i liked izzy the second he showed up in s1 and i was absolutely EATING this season up in that regard. and i think in this case, they genuinely did fuck it all up in the finale with that one stupid choice:

choosing to kill izzy was the DUMBEST thing they couldve done here.

ive talked about this over and over and over again. ive reblogged so many meta posts. and still i am left absolutely flabbergasted by how stupid of a decision this was. the fridging, playing at the fallen woman trope, killing the beating heart of the season and the character who delivers what is essentially a thesis statement, killing off the character whose arc is about coming to terms with his disability, having him die in edward's arms, comforting him and apologizing after an entire season of finding community and love outside of edward, the absolutely godawful pacing of it all, the extremely easy and obvious solution of just having IZZY become the new captain of the revenge to mirror s1 and hammer home how much he has developed since then in one go... i could go on. and i have. it was a stupid writing decision, completely fucked the tone and pacing of the finale and took away attention and time from things that really would've deserved a better wrap up (lucius and black pete deserved better)

now. the whole prince ricky & zheng plot line... yeah that shit sucked ass, sorry. they bit off more than they could chew here. i honestly think those are the arc words of this season:

right off the bat: i think he was good as a concept. bringing in a foil for stede who just doesn't Get It as stede does could've made for very good comedy and drama (and to be fair there is some of that). but that shit got away from them extremely quickly. nothing about how he's implemented past his first episode works, and i think this is very specifically because he's mostly played as the comic relief in his debut episode. making this completely bumbling fool, who gets his nose hacked off on his first job, the main villain of your entire season is... definitely a choice. idk. he didn't work for me at all.

ok wow mentioning shit getting away from the writers. this definitely got away from me. this was supposed to be a short lil post. well. i guess tl;dr i loved this season but jesus christ there was a lot wrong with it. if you want to hear more thoughts. ask box is open. be my guest. i have more to say so even if you dont ask i might add more to this at some point but im tired and have work tmrw.

Hi um terrible sorry to bother you rn with a maybe loaded question but what would be each turtles biggest concern(?) issue(?) once they leave splinter and like move to the hidden city? I have a decent idea for donnie and leo but have barely have any for raph and absolutely nothing for mikey

not entirely sure what you mean by concern so I'll try to wrap my head around "issue." but even that's pretty broad, since they have a lot of overlapping issues.

so like, they've all got PTSD. just to get that outta the way. i think ive talked about this before but i cant find those posts sooo here's to hoping i dont contradict myself!

Raph: Raph mostly struggles with figuring out his identity outside of being a protector. he also focuses a lot on trying to remain present (not dissociate) and being more in touch with his bodies needs, as well as his emotional needs. it's hard for him to pick up new hobbies because he can't really tell what he likes?? so that's what hes doing in therapy, trying to figure himself out and learn how to better take care of HIMSELF instead of others. and like, see himself as a person haha.

Mikey: Mikey gets a bit high off of freedom and kind of goes crazy throughout his twenties, lots of sex, parties, magic drugs, normal drugs, he's down for whatever. he's kind of all over the place and he loves it at first but then he realizes it might not be a great way to live for him. he wants to have something to show for his life and work and like, find a community (while still being insane sometimes :>) and he ends up doing a lot of charity work, painting murals, and a bunch of other stuff. eventually he stumbles his way into a tattoo apprenticeship. His whole thing is basically figuring out how to be his own impulse control, with a side of guilt because he feels like he's the "least traumatized" of his brothers (he still has PTSD it just usually shows up differently than in his brothers)

Mikey also really, REALLY hates being called stupid (not as a joke, like if he fucks something up and someone says hes dumb or something). Splinter always said he was the dumbest one of them all and he acts like he doesn't care, BUT HE DO. it really gets under his skin.

Leo: a lotta self hatred on his end tbh. he spends a lot of time as the hidden cities protector trying to atone for his past mistakes. he feels both fragile and like he's walking on eggshells around his brothers because he knows that he's made most of their problems worse. he also feels like what he went through isnt as bad, because splinter liked him the most. so he's got a similar guilt thing going on as Mikey, with the added pressure of feeling like he has to "earn" his place with his brothers, the way he had to "earn" his place as Splinters favorite.

Donnie: Donnie goes to college pretty early into moving into the hidden city, which he's super excited about! he gets into a really bad relationship for like a year or two with Adelaide, and after that just kind of becomes more and more suicidal until he attempts to kill himself. im not actually entirely sure about the timeline here but yeah, he deals with a lot of sexual & relationship trauma as well as self esteem issues (literally only conceives of himself as pathetic and weak), intrusive thoughts, and suicidal ideation.

donnie doesn't feel like he'll ever be good enough for anything, and he resents the people around him for disagreeing because he thinks they're lying to him.

my only regret in life is that i didn't bring up "raven might be actively involved with her last mission/'death' " in my big rosebird post earlier. it's a HC (now just a C) that ive loved for years but i could never articulate an actual defendable argument about, so i didn't want to bring it up overtly bc trying to back it up with anything has always made me feel like the dumbest motherfucker on the planet. i just left a vague suggestion of it in my post. if i had been slightly more willing to simply say shit i absolutely could not back up, you would be here today giving me full marks instead of just half marks. and saying it now just makes me look like i'm trying to claim retroactive rosebird clout (which is a real thing and very serious). and i'm going to have to live with that for the rest of my life.

tmnt has an issue with infantilizing Mikey and it's creepy or weird depending on how they do it like he's not meant to be so dumb that his intellect is the same as a baby and I hate how 2012 utilized him like they made him a moron who's intellect was at 3 years old most of the time and made him mess up a lot in missions that was so insulting as Mikey fan they made him excessively annoying at times too for no reason and tuned him into a punching bag as well as trying to kill him off multiple times than brining him back like who ever worked on the 2012 series hated Mikey for some reason and wanted him to be disliked by the fandom I don't hate him but he's not my favorite out of the Mikeys

Honestly I say the fandom is worse, the amount of fanfics Ive clicked out of because Mikey acted like a scared baby...

And I don't think the 2012 writers hated him (the fandom definitely doesnt), they wrote him as hes supposed to be, an annoying younger brother. The closest they came to babying him was when they were in Mikey’s mind and he was 5, I'll admit that was weird considering everything they had gone through in the series up till that point

But he wasn't stupid, in fact I read a great analysis recently right here, I highly recommend reading it cause it convinced me that he did have some character growth (though not a lot and super subtle)

I feel like in all the shows, on the surface it may seem like Mikey is dumb and acts like a baby, but in every show he has his moments of strength and maturity, and he's shown having great ideas and plans

I seriously need to rewatch the 80s show, but he was always emotionally intelligent in that show. He had a lot of solo episodes (the Christmas episode, anything hero related especially the first one, the fight against Kluh) in the 2003s. That post I linked has lots of crucial moments for the 2012. As for rise, he didnt have a lot of moments on his own, but it was clear he can take care of himself even in moments his brothers coughRaphcough didnt believe in him (his first solo mission, he fought and won against Casey without his weapon)

The thing is, he's the comedic relief, the relatable one, someone has to be. So of course it may come off as him being the dumbest turtle, but he has his stengths that are shown in every show, subtle or not

leaving the community

oh man, hardly thought i’d see the day when this would happen. i’m not really sure where to start this post to be honest, so apologies in advance for having to read my poorly thought out ramblings.

for those that don't wanna read, the tl;dr = i'm furthering myself from the sfw community, this blog is going on a permanent hiatus, you can find me @buntopiia or @kinkynaut if youre 18+, im just generally unhappy and tired here but im so grateful for all of the support and all the super cool friends i made here <33 its not goodbye forever!!

it’s been a good run, hasn’t it? but then again, it’s not like im going away completely — i'm still gonna be active on tumblr, just not in the sfw side of the tickle community. i'll also be active on my new main, which is @buntopiia, so if you aren't 18+ or just arent comfy with nsfw content, you can still find me there if you ever wish to talk.

so here comes the nitty gritty of it all; i just don't enjoy being here anymore. im sure its super apparent to everyone that the sfw community is always on the brink of tearing itself apart, barely being held together by its seams - and to be honest, i'm just completely over it. it seems that we can't go a day here without someone getting death threats or being told to kill themselves over the way they perceive their interest in tickling, which is such a stupid fuckin sentence to type out, but here we are.

the rampant hatred everyone seems to have for each other is draining. and this isn't about the anons that i've gotten specifically- i found those funny more than anything (i'm still a slut well denizen at heart), but a whole slew of other things as well. the constant drama feels reminiscent of high school, and come to think of it, it's probably because the sfw community is filled mainly with minors. mostly ones who don't know how to cultivate their own online experience and blame the adults for it, but i digress. every callout post is just a reminder of how toxic and shitty the sfw side of the community can be. lots of people hide behind the "sfw" title to seem innocent and approachable. lots of people demonize the nsfw community for everything that happens here. but in all honesty, when's the last time you've seen any big drama from the nsfw community?

lots of people stay in their own little bubble there, curating their own content and reblogging from each other solely. i find that (most) adults are very good at following their dni criteria and keeping minors away, even if they don't listen. and the fact that the kinksters are so harshly spoken about by the sfw community is another major factor as to why i'm leaving.

i have a tickle fetish. i see tickling as something both nonsexual in platonic scenarios and sexual in romantic ones (in my own life, of course). hearing people constantly saying having a fetish is gross or vile or whatever is genuinely upsetting, which is why i was in denial about it for the longest time. i felt disgusting for it. i was so ashamed and terrified of people finding out, because i thought it would make me some kind of "pervert" or something, which also sounds incredibly stupid when i type it out.

like seriously, this is a post about tickling. the fact that we have drama and community politics over here is the dumbest shit i've ever heard lmfao

but yeah. i feel safer in the nsfw community than i do here now. i'll post the occasional fluffy tickle art on my main, but other than that, all of my content will be posted onto my kink account. and you're more than welcome to interact with my main!! you dont even need to be on anon or a main yourself, im more than okay with tickle blogs interacting with me. it isnt something im ashamed of anymore, and being in the nsfw community has helped me overcome that fear. being unabashedly kinky is extremely freeing, tbh.

its been fun and ive seriously enjoyed my time here with you guys <33 again, i'm not gone completely! i'm just distancing myself from the "sfw" brand and moving on to other things. thank you for everything <3

when the archivists figured out that for some reason they were immune to the dress code they started up a challenge among themselves to see who could get the most outrageous before elias finally had to call them in.

jon reluctantly participates at the beginning but when it becomes clear normal infractions like wearing jeans and a t-shirt arent going to be enough to do it he bows out.

sasha, martin, and tim keep going strong though. martin comes in one day in his pajamas but elias still just offers him a stiff nod when they pass each other in the hallway. sasha comes in full renaissance faire getup and only speaks in old english. nothing. tim comes to work in a sexy nun costume one day and elias refuses to make eye contact with him but still doesn't call him in.

the first and ONLY time anyone from archives got dress coded was completely on accident. jonathan "millenial with the vibe of an 80 year old" sims wears socks with sandals in to work one day after he got 2 hours of sleep and elias tells him he has to change because he looks "unprofessional"

“hey, we’re here”

you open the car door and step outside, sighing as you stretched and looked around, breathing in the fresh air.

“i havent been here in so long, gyu” you smile, “the last time i was here was when i came with you”

“me too” he said walking over to you and lacing his fingers with yours. “how could i forget. it was the most amazing night of my life”

you and beomgyu walk up the boardwalk steps and make your way to the sandy portion of the beach. your feet sunk into the warm sand and you realized how much you didnt like the beach because it made you feel dirty.

beomgyu looked at you and started giggling. “you still dont like the beach huh”

“nope and i dont think i ever will”

the two of you began walking towards the water and you could feel memories of the last time you came here. you were with beomgyu and you had only been dating for a couple months at the time.

“GYU OH MY GOD” beomgyu brought a handful of water and splashed you with it while you were laying down with your eyes closed.

you quickly stood up and ran after your boyfriend, who was running towards the water and before you knew it, the two of you were soaked.

after a couple more minutes of laughing as you splashed each other with water, you got out of the water giggling, “ive never had fun at the beach”

“i cant believe you’re surprised that you have fun with me😒” beomgyu joked.

“well you are pretty unfun”

“i think you meant to stop at pretty”

“right ..”

laughing at the memory, you looked over at beomgyu, who was setting up towels for you to sit on. you walked over and sat down next to him, pulling out the food you brought.

an hour later, the two of you had finished eating and were quiet for a while. beomgyu turned to look at you as you stared at the sunset.

you turned your head and looked at him too. “what?” you say.

“i love you” he says quickly

you froze. it was the first time either of you said it out loud. you both knew you loved each other, but neither of you felt like you needed to say it because you showed it in different ways.

you paused for a second before kissing him on the cheek and saying it back, but beomgyu still looked like he had something else to say.

“whats up?” you say

“so much. but before i say it, you have to promise not to cringe” he says as his cheeks developed a light shade of pink on them

“i wont, i pinky promise” you said raising your pinky at him. he linked his with yours and looked you in the eyes again.

“i am so in love with you, y/n. i cant thank the oceans enough for giving me you. you’ve saved me in every way possible and i dont think ill ever be able to repay you for it.” he looked away.

you put your hand in his and turned his face to look him in the eyes again. “beomgyu”

“please dont cringe”

you smiled and pulled him in for a hug. “i love you so much. thank you for making me feel loved. theres nothing i wouldnt do for you, gyu. you’re my everything”

he held you closer and you could feel him relax.

“please dont leave me”

“i’d be the dumbest person on the planet if i did that, gyu, but i might have to if you dont stop being cringy🤢”

someone deadass said ‘because of his song i stopped taking my meds for a few days and it made everything worse’ and that’s just the dumbest shit ive ever heard. no where in the song does it say to stop taking ur pills n the mv only portrays dream’s own experiences. he also literally said he doesn’t encourage people to toss out their meds? so if ur emulating some random guy’s actions from some random mv where u clearly don’t like him enough to watch the most basic content related to him aside from one music video, then maybe you deciding to stop taking ur pills is a you problem? and also guess what. if u stop taking ur pills for a few days n things get worse then thats just proof that u should.... keep taking them..... until u find a better alternative.... assuming ur suffering because of ur meds....

Its 2021, Happy New Years everyone!

I would like to take a moment to thank everyone on here for being so immensely supportive of my blog restart and of course all the support towards my art/content, it truly means a lot. I appreciate all the content you guys have put out there throughout this year making this ending a little easier for us.

This is the first year without supernatural, no upcoming episodes, no upcoming promos, nothing, but I do not believe this fandom will die due to it, we've built such a kind and funny community throughout the years and the show "ending" wont be the end for us. In fact for a lot of us it wont be ending until another 6 years on the Supernatural Thursdays server, where we've been airing an episode a week (next ep is s01ep7, theres also a catchup day for new folks)

What I'm saying is, we got through one of the worst years most of us have lived through and made it easier with fanfiction, art, shitposts, our favourite characters and i'm glad we did.

Hypothetically - 2240 words summary: Rhys talks a lot, but usually thinks about it too little.

coffee, cats & monographs - 2880 words summary: “Hey hey, easy. You don’t want to repeat the accident from last week, do you?” Rhys cooed towards the cat and picked her up, just as Timothy instructed him to. she was born NATALIE ROSE SERRANO, to two working class parents in new york city. she knew from a young age that she was just supposed to be rich and famous, and that something had gotten mixed up somewhere and she was put in the wrong life.

in high school she got a scholarship to a fancy private catholic school, and that’s where she started to hone her craft of manipulating rich people. she would befriend all of the richest bitches at school and take advantage of everything that came along with it: vacations to far away places, stays in the family’s cabins and lake houses, even designer clothes that her friends no longer wanted and would gift to her, thinking it was their idea all along

as she grew up and got better at getting what she wanted out of people, her entitled attitude only got worse, driving a wedge between her and her parents, who kept waiting for her to develop a work ethic and kept being disappointed. a few months after she graduated high school, on her 18th birthday, her parents kicked her out of the house and cut her off, hoping that it would force her to grow up and take on any responsibility

but that plan backfired for them, her parents underestimating how truly stubborn natalie was. the day after her 18th, she wandered into a local strip club and got a job, figuring it’d be the easiest and quickest way to get some cash, and she took to it naturally and actually really enjoyed stripping

she started to embody an entirely new persona that she had created for herself, dancing under the name POISON IVY and telling everyone she was a trust fund baby that had been cut off from her rich parents, needing to dance to supplement her income, and her lies just continued to spiral out of control until she almost started to believe it herself. she had never told anyone at the club her real name, not even the other strippers, just going by “ivy” for a while.

she had learned to weaponize the power she had over people by being pretty and charming, using her looks for absolute evil and doing whatever it took to get money—from straight up pickpocketing, to making men buy her expensive gifts, to blackmailing, to sugar babying, to getting patrons wasted and manipulating them into tipping her absurd amounts… she did it all, very quickly earning enough to live the life she had always dreamed of, that she felt she deserved for whatever twisted reason.

she started posting on instagram with the name poison ivy generally just flaunting her carefree, extravagant life, often exaggerating or down right lying just to really dazzle her quickly growing audience

as she started to go down the influencer route, she realized she needed to do something to hide the skeletons in her closet ( the fact that she didn’t actually come from money and was making far more than was normal for even the best of dancers, a couple of small possession / shoplifting charges, and just generally anything that could lead people to her real identity ) so she started to tell people her name was ives, fully taking on the new identity. she even went so far as to make some of the people that had been closest to her sign NDAs about her real identity, making sure that no one could sell info about her should her plan of being famous work out

she also moved out to california to run away from everyone in the city that was starting to catch on to what she was doing, basically doing all the same shit but now in a New Place.. this was about 3-4 years ago, so she’s been in sunhollow for a while now doing the whole influencer thing !!

and it did work out !! at first she was definitely buying followers/likes to boost her likelihood of brand sponsorships, but eventually she faked it until she made it and actually attained influencer status. she then used her newfound internet fame ( and some classic blackmailing ) to get herself a record deal

she also started sleeping around with pretty much any famous person she could, having very public relationships and breakups and scandals to keep her name in the press, which ultimately lead to more exposure/people following her, if only to see what she did next, which lead to even more sponsorships

eventually she stopped dancing and just focused on her influencing and more recently ( like... less than 6 months ago recently ) her music career. but she never stopped sugar babying and scamming rich stupid men, still very much using that as a means to keep up her lifestyle. she’s also done a few modeling things, but it’s mostly just like catalog work or being the face of a trendy campaign bc she’s way too short for the runway

she also recently made an only fans account bc she was bored one night and was mostly planning on posting once as a joke but then she made a bunch of money / got a bunch of subscribers and was like oh word ? i can do that ! so she will post on there from time to time but she’s not like… super serious about it ya know ? also her music label is big mad at her for it bc they’re like bUt yOuR rEpUtAtIoN and she’s like yeah.. but my bank account ? also it’s no secret she used to be a stripper so she rly just.. doesn’t give a fuck !

Prompt by anon: Maybe a sick fic prompt for charcel where Ethan hasn’t been feeling well and nearly faints onto Crockett, and Crockett looks after him.

Rating: T (for occasional swearing)

A/N: I apologize for how late this fic is, but I still hope you enjoy it! It’s also posted on Ao3 here.

It was a chilly day in December when Ethan shuffled into the ED around 7 am, having slept in until 6:30 and skipped his morning workout. That should have been his first notion that something was going wrong, in addition to the fact that he’d taken a nap the day before and had been having cold shivers for the last few days. Taking a sip of his coffee, Ethan suppressed another shiver, feeling lightheaded from the fact that he’d skipped dinner the night before to go to bed early and had also skipped breakfast, choosing to just grab a coffee on his way in due to being late.

“Dr. Choi? I need a second opinion on one of my patients, do you mind?”

Ethan turned to see who had spoken, though the southern accent was an easy giveaway. He had to squeeze his eyes shut as he did so, the movement making his dizziness worse, noticing the look of concern that flashed across Crockett’s face as he steadied himself against the counter.

“You okay, sugar? You’re looking a little faint,” Crockett asked with a frown, making a mental note of the slight sheen of sweat on the other man's face as well as how shaky his hands were.

“Y-yeah. I’m fine, just got a little dizzy, that’s all,” Ethan mumbled as the dizziness lessened, and he was finally able to look up at Crockett.

“Did this come on all of a sudden? Or have you been feeling off the last few days?”

“The lightheadedness started this morning. But I guess I’ve been feeling off the last few days.”

“Off? Off how?” Crockett asked in confusion, tilting his head as Ethan ignored his question, and tried to push past him.

“Can we just check on your patient and stop worrying about me? I’m fine,” Ethan huffed as he tried to walk past Crockett, his head spinning once more as the taller man caught his arm.

“Hey, talk to me. You look like you’re about to pass out,” Crockett stated firmly as he looked at the other man, his hand moving slowly from Ethan’s arm to loop around his waist when Ethan’s eyes rolled back and he fell forward into Crockett’s arms.

“Shit. Can I get some help in here?!”

“Ethan? What the hell happened in here Dr. Marcel?” April asked with wide eyes as she helped get Ethan up onto a gurney before wheeling him into Exam Room 1.

“I’m not sure, he was just looking a little off and then he passed out,” Crockett explained as he started to hook Ethan up to the monitors, letting out a small sigh of relief when the other man slowly started to open his eyes.

“Hey sugar, don’t make any sudden movements, I don’t want you passing out again,” Crockett explained, nudging Ethan back down when the man tried to sit up, moving to hook the bag of saline up to the IV he’d made in Ethan’s left arm.

“You’re dehydrated and running a fever. What in hell made you think to come to work was a good idea today?”

Ethan frowned at Crockett’s words and gave a half-hearted shrug as he leaned back against the pillows.

“I dunno, I was feeling like shit last night and this morning, but I didn’t want to bother anyone with it. I didn’t really expect anyone to care anyways,” Ethan explained as he watched Crockett move around the exam room to gather the supplies for a blood draw.

“That’s clearly the dumbest thing you have ever said. It’s obvious to me that everyone here cares about each other. Y’all seem to have such amazing camaraderie that I actually get jealous of how much of an outsider I feel like,” Crockett admitted as he drew the blood for tests before he hooked the IV back up.

“People here do care about you y’know. I mean...I care about you,” Ethan admitted, though he wasn’t sure if it was the fever that was finally making him admit his feelings for the other man or how comfortable he felt being taken care of at that moment.

Crockett cracked a smirk as he grabbed a cool damp cloth to brush the sweaty hair off of Ethan’s forehead before he sat on the edge of Ethan’s bed.

“I care about you too sugar, which is why I got worried when you passed out. Which, by the way, you didn’t have to do just to get my attention, you know that right? Asking me out for dinner would have sufficed,” he teased with a grin before he dropped a soft kiss onto Ethan’s hair before he moved to get up, raising an eyebrow when Ethan’s hand wrapped softly around his wrist to halt him.

“S-stay? We can talk about this more when I’m not fever drunk,” Ethan mumbled as he pressed his cheek against the pillow with a yawn, a ghost of a smile crossing his lips as Crockett moved to sit back down in the chair next to the gurney.

“I’m not going anywhere sugar. Now, get some rest, you deserve it.”
