Who is your fav main couple in mxtx novels (wangxian or hualian or bingqiu)? And why?

Who are your fav side couple (don't have to be canon) in mxtx novels (in each of the 3 novels)? And why?

My favorite couple is BingQiu, hands down. I've talked a little about why before but they just hit me so hard as a couple who chooses to be together despite all odds. Despite the fact that they weren't destined soulmates, despite the fact that they both started out idolizing each other to standards the other couldnt live up to, despite their flaws and shortcomings as partners. In any other story, This is the relationship that's doomed to fail because the protagonist's "true love" is some person they neither choose nor really have to put in effort to be with and make the relationship work, because some inexplicable and inescapable force pulls them together. BingQiu says "inexplicable and unexplainable" are cosmic horror terms, not something to base around the relationship with the person whose morning breath you'll be smelling for the rest of your life.

I do adore wangxian also though!

My favorite side couples... Im afraid for SVSSS I dont really have any, i have one track mind and that track is completely paved with bingqiu. Oh, i do like other characters one-sided-ly pining for one or both bingqius, i guess that counts? I also like LQG/LMY because shipcest!

Conversely, for MDZS I have oh so many... JC/JL maybe? They just have such a deep bond. An uncle whose only family is his nephew. An uncle who feels so much but struggles to show it, and the nephew who's growing up to be like him... I also like any combination of 3zun! Because damn their story is good and tragic and there are sooo many flavors in there to explore. OH and also any combination of Yi City Gang! Lately XueQing is my obsession, not for any deep reason but because it's hot.

For TGCF, definitely Shicest! SWD and SQX are my favorite type of ship: family who loves each other and would kill or die for the other without question, more inseparable than thunder and lightning, and before you ask, no, it's not possible to have one without the other. How much did SWD have to love his brother, that a life in heaven without him was so unbearable he had to rewrite fate.
