Random scene
Xernalia (Biologist Alien): How can the human body be so inefficient. I mean, your organs aren't even completely comprised of cells! Sometimes there's just randomly a bunch of stuff in place of them!
Thomas (not biologist himself, but very nerdy human): are you talking about the fibrine stuff?
Xernalia: Yeah! I don't understand why they're even there! When I run em' through, they don't form, like at all! There wasn't a little bit of them!
Thomas: Xernalia, that's where I've healed from unnoticeable diseases. How did you even discover them?
Xernalia: Well, first off there was a big one right at {{eldretch word}}. But honestly, why hasn't your body properly healed from that??? It really should've by now.
Thomas: Well... from my understand the human body doesn't heal from those kinds of wounds.
Xernalia: Why doesn't it? It reduces the efficiency. Slightly, yes but those are like. The main things you don't want to reduce the efficiency of. You have them for your muscles, why not the most important parts of the body???
Thomas: I honestly could not tell you.
Xernalia(under her breath): I swear the human body is impossible.
Thomas: And you're the one that decided to make it ungodly sexy!
Xernalia: And I will forever regret and enjoy that decision.

TITLE : I love you, Derek Morgan. (NSFW)
PLOT : Morgan has never thought about being loved this way, always used to being the giver, but his preference against being the receiver changes when the good doctor of his dreams makes love to him the exact way he had always fantasized, but way softer.
WARNING(s) : not quite sex but they're having a good sexy time if that's what you're asking for, and masturbation <- it's VERY much hinted at that, and for those with HUGE sub reid fixiations, we have a dom reid in your vicinity as we speak, sorry i jusg want morgan loved, and a sub morgan for my babes out there that just want him to be cared for, this is just full out love by the way, feelings and stuff, no actual described fuck fest cause I'm a coward
EXTRA : this is apart of a fic. series? yeah that's what it's called, that i'm doing and wow. i can't believe this is where my life has ended up. It's called courier and i haven't. even written it yet. i wrote the SEX first before the actual damn SERIES.
Morgan felt the wind get punched out of his chest — his head in the clouds as he was finally getting what he wanted; He had the man to himself, and he was being kissed by him.
In his office, the two of them, Alone, and it was better than he thought it would be.
Body pressed against each other in ways that felt so right, the same position he’s dreamed about every following day ever since the casino. The same day he traveled back to New England, with only the image of his flushed face and working himself open in his mind.
Moments squished into his schedule when he was supposed to be sleeping, spent under the covers of expensive bed sheets and the cold against his skin.
But at the time he was by himself, not with the young doctor like he was now, and whenever that clarity reaches him, after spending hours thinking about the sounds he could make the other make – He's hit with waves of shame, yet freedom, and love that made him feel drunk and yearning to see the man again someday.
Vague yet somehow detailed ideas of what he could do that made his mind blank and his mouth reduced to babbling only two words as if it was his lifeline; More and Please.
Back then – it was impossible to think that Spencer had any sexual experience, even with how enticing he moved when he walked around crowds, how the careful touches that made Morgan ache was as suggestive as they could ever be when the other ushered him to the side; far away from the views of cameras that always followed.
So it always lead to him creating scenarios where he was the one leaving trails of kisses on his skin, that he was the one that would finish them off —- both of their dicks in hand, covered in cum that they were building up for hours at a time.
That Spencer would be the one to connect both of their hips, tracing his fingernails on Morgan's shoulders as he whispered sweet nothings and promises of more.
Frenzied breaths, hands that searched for something to grip on. That he would be the one to see the other unfold into a mess of his creation, nose nuzzling into his neck softly.
Yet as Morgan stood there, Spencer touching him in angles that made his vision blurry; the billionaire sat there at the edge of the sturdy desk in his office, a golden plaque with 'Dr. Spencer W. Reid' on it being pushed to the side by his hips whenever he rolled his crotch against Morgan's waist —-
Holding his face, cradling it, tracing his fingertips from Morgan's forehead to his chin, He felt lovable. Wanted.
“You’re, So, Cute,” Spencer whispered against his mouth, emphasizing each word with a kiss. Each kiss was as passionate as the other one before. a compassionate smile against a dazed one before sealing their mouths together again, and again, and again.
The kindness that the man showed every day bled into his sexual instincts as his fingers roamed his chest gently, the both of them still clothed but they weren't in a hurry — they had an entire week, they could wait.
And Spencer was focused on the intimacy they were sharing, and Derek was focused on Spencer.
He was the one in control and not him as he was so used to. The praises he used for so many now were echoed back to him – whenever he responded physically to the words, he would receive light kisses against his skin, telling him how good he was being.
For him and the both of them, for allowing him to be able to see him unfold like this. Sweet and compliant, and wanting to be tasted.
It was obvious how wrong he was that the doctor didn't have any experience, and something in him was happy that he was wrong, enjoying the way his fingers caressed against his skin like he was the most delicate thing in the world.
And he knew that in some way of his own; Spencer saw Morgan and did see him as the most precious thing.
Not in a condescending way, but out of love - wanting nothing more but to feel him wither against him as he made him feel impossible bliss, rather than the other way around.
Spencer inched closer towards him, his hands going south. "I love you, Derek Morgan." He stated it as a fact like it was a well-researched scientific topic that had been confirmed over and over to be true. "I love you." and Morgan dived deeper into his drunken state, at the feeling of Spencer's labored breathing on his chin.
"I love you too."
And the night was spent with more words of romance and sex traded between them. Looks paired with smiles, and clattering belts on the floor mid-session, Spencer going lower and lower and lower until his knees hit the floor.
If any of Spencer's employees were to have heard their love.
Then they were wise enough to not mention it the next day, even when their boss came out with his dress shirt unbuttoned; tie untied and a post-coital smile never leaving.
With a Derek Morgan trailing behind him, a smile of his own that matched.
further proof of their love.

I'm replaying Deltatraveler and god I can't believe it didn't hit me before how tonally dissonant things are in section 3. Even in the obliteration route where things are generally more serious, there's still gags and moments where Susie and Noelle are weirdly okay with their surroundings.
I also just...don't agree with a lot of the characterization of Noelle and Susie on the obliteration route. I think Deltatraveler normally characterizes at least Susie fairly well, but something in section 3 just is not correct to me.
Obviously, Noelle has every right to be angry at her friend who just commanded her to kill multiple children, but it's also so weird how Noelle is the one furious over this- Instead of, y'know, the character who has a major issue with betrayal and is shown (especially in Deltatraveler itself) to be protective of kids?
I very much think seeing Noelle angry and upset could really be cathartic and nice to see if done correctly...But I don't really feel like it's done so here. There's a rather dramatic shift from Noelle being the one to point out to Susie that Kris isn't themself in section 2 after you murder the snake, to going into this depressed, angry state in section 3, especially given Susie is the one that really tries to fight against Kris in most of section 2. I get the impression she's trying to hold the group together and doesn't want to ruin her friendship with Kris, but it feels off and hypocritical of her for being so...weirdly calm about everything that's happening, even laughing at the Underfell skelebros at times.
The decision to have Kris come out and tell the gang that they're being possessed is interesting and all, but it does ultimately get rid of a ton of the drama and tension that the first part of section 3 was trying to set up. The gang still participates in a lot of gags and has somewhat wholesome moments, despite knowing their friend is possessed by an otherworldly entity who seems keen on murdering everything around them for an unknown reason.

I was thinking about how absolutely completely inconsistent, basically any DC character ever is, and I thought I'd tell y'all about the way I decide how to write them.
For background, one of the first bits of advice I got when I started working on character design. "A good characters best and worst traits should be the same, just to different degrees." So for example if a characters best trait is that they're loyal, their worst trait should be that they take that loyalty too far, they trust people they shouldn't. So here's my little how to write a DC character, without running into Batman believes in truth and justice and abusing his children.
1: what is the characters most important trait, be it to me or for the sake of what I'm writing, what is the one big trait I can't give up for this character? For example, I might decide for Bruce that it's that he's shit at communication.
2: what allignment does that trait have in context? Is it a good thing, a bad thing, or more neutral? If it's neutral, what would it look like in an extreme? Good or bad? In this case it would be a bad one, there's nothing morally bad about poor communication skills, but it's actively negatively effecting his life.
3: what would that trait be, if you shifted it to be the opposite allignment? For this I would tone it down, because the worst variation should be the trait brought to an unfortunate extreme, and get Bruce Wayne is good at hiding his emotions in stressful situations. He's good at staying calm.
The characters should have other traits, but these are the Big Ones that tell you who this character is and how other people see them based on proximity to the extreme. Characters can have seemingly conflicting traits, but generally those shouldn't be defining characteristics. Most people won't stake their entire personality on the belief that lying should never be done, and also they should be doing it. But they might believe lying is bad but they have to do it.

not to be annoying but i do think a lot of people mischaracterize falin. shes got the most drastic canon v fanon thing going on. which i guess makes sense bc 1. we dont see much of her and 2. lot of the fan stuff are anime-onlies that have seen even less
but i think like a good 90% of the time i see falin-centric art or posts im like hrm hrm hrm thats all wrong no nope no-siree
she's just a cool chick that takes life as it comes, doesn't hold grudges even against a mother that apparently was trying to beat the magic outta her, finds her older brother the coolest person in the world, and has autism about observing life (and death, she loves the ghosts she has a connection to) and nature and taking care of things (including taking care of her brother, which is why she's even in the dungeons; she saw her scrawny mess of a brother and decided she had to fix that).
and i think my favorite part that people don't talk about is... she would have done the same for marcille or laios if it were one of them that was eaten. you could see it in her eyes:
it's what shuro misunderstands about her. it's easy to see her feminine, cute, good girl pieces and forget the rest of her. but she loves things to an ends-of-the-earth extent; the kind of caring that makes you a little insane. and that's how I think she and laios end up on the same page with their weirdness. they have different interests, but they are the same level of committed to those interests.
it's easy to love her, because she probably loves you just as much, if not more.
