Trigger warning for the message below as it deals with body image struggles and eating disorders, please only read if in the right mindset and situation for it. 💓

Over 10 years ago I decided I wanted to recover from my body dysmorphia and address my eating disorder. It wasn’t an easy task and I fell often but on this day 10 years ago was the last true slip up. 10 years ago today I stopped actively participating in trying to meet what I felt were society’s expectations of me. Healing isn’t linear and there are still times I struggle with a healthy self image but over the last 10 years I have been able to correct myself each time and address the negative thoughts in a positive and healthy manner and form positive ones about myself. I didn’t think that would be possible 10 year ago.

To those who’ve been there or still are, please know it doesn’t what you look like, what you think you look like, what size you are, what size you want to/“should” be, or any other expectations; you are BEAUTIFUL and worthy of love. It took me a long time to realize that and that might be the same for you, but I promise you’ll get there. If you slip, don’t get angry at yourself please. Just dust yourself off and go again, it’ll get easier. ❤️‍🩹

These photographs are by none other than @/harryholland64 aka the most considerate & supportive boyfriend. I am in love with them not just because they’re so good, because it’s from him, nor because he’s so sweet. Those are all true, but I love them because I can see how much happier and more confident I am in myself and I never knew that would be possible. It also proves that how you perceive yourself on your bad days aren’t accurate. Some of these were taken on days where I was struggling a bit and I didn’t know they were being taken. Had I known in the moment when some were being taken, I probably would’ve been mortified at the time because of how I felt about myself. However, once I’m able to address the thoughts I’m struggling with and pull myself back up, I feel better about myself and when I do I can truly appreciate seeing them.

These are only a handful of them but he framed all of them and put them up on my walls in my closet by my mirror for my bad days to remind me how he sees me and the thoughtfulness and support from him is immeasurably heartwarming. Baz, my precious baby boy, I love you more than anything in this world and I’m so blessed to be able to have the co-leading role in #TheAdventuresofDatingHarry 💘

i am a big fan of the ones we see in the show - red, tough guy, sleepyface, lover, etc! but i am SUCH a sucker for honey as a petname. it makes my whole brain happy. so i love the idea of ian using it for mickey - maybe "hon" when they're casually chatting, "honey" when things are getting sexy? i love mickey getting to relish in more intimate petnames. and i think ian MELTS at a simple "babe" from time to time! otherwise, mickey has no shortage of silly nicknames. he probably just goes down the list of dwarves from snow white and picks one for ian that day asdfjh

aw. these make me sad - they are SUCH an iconic image for him and i think he's made his peace with them, and accepts them as his past and the life that made him! they are part of him! but i feel like their origin probably sucks ass. they were probably done (not safely asdfh) by a brother or cousin, probably with his dad around. probably complicated right? that he has to do this to survive but also knowing he's safe for a moment bc he did it. ugh. but ian's tattoo! gotta be a simple "mickey" or "MM" on his chest. right over his heart 🥺

i honestly feel like ian probably made an account for mickey, maybe when they got out of prison? for wedding photos and to keep up with mandy, etc. i think ian had a couple of accounts - s4/s5 era, then s7/s8 era.. but i think he deleted them both and made a new account when he made mickey's. probably something simple for the handles with their names?

as a cat person, i lean towards cat. especially while they are in that apartment! she is an ally for ian asdfj she knows when he needs a little extra love and looks to him for treats. but mickey SPOILS her and she adores him, following him around the apartment. i can see them getting a dog when they have a house! he and ian bound around together, and he naps HARD with mickey and the cat 🥰

🍄how do you get yourself in the mood to write? honestly, it usually just kind of hits me at random times. some days, i have so many ideas and so i’ll plot everything out but i won’t actually write, so i’ll leave it for a while and then maybe come back to it when i get too impatient with myself. other days, if i feel stuck, what i’ll do is just kind of word vomit my thoughts and go back and edit everything later, or feel out the vibes. but i feel you, writing is honestly very hard, especially if the motivation just isn’t there :’( but i think my best advice is to just get ideas out of your head and onto theoretical paper!! then just start typing even if it’s just your thoughts like “uh idk what to write but maybe if kdjflsfjlkas”
