Las Vegas era? Brilliant - the inexplicable teenage love and lust for each other (terrifying and amazing) - caring for someone because they’re the only person in the universe who cares for you, getting drunk and high and altogether plastered together because you’re so traumatized and lonely that you don’t know how to bond with people in any different way and hey, you both like it (a little too much in fact) so why not?? It’s DELICIOUS. this part of the book was just written too well to be put down as “unfortunate” or “less than”. It’s so so so sad and raw and angry and vulgar and and and

And you couldn’t even have post-Vegas New York, Antwerp & Amsterdam without it!! Where would the tension, the longing, the shock of seeing your - best friend? ex best friend? The guy you hate so much because you love him even more ??? Where would all of that come from without such a complex, tangled backstory???? There’s no one without the other!!!!!!

All my other insights can go fuck themselves all I care about is the fact that Boris watched McLeod's daughters with Judy in karmeywallag and in particular the death of Claire which happened in season 3 which aired in 2003 and he and Theo meet in September of presumably 2004 and in may of the same year he moved to Fairbanks and in march he moved to Alaska and before that he lived in Papua New Guinea where it sounds like he stayed for at least a few months so when could he have possibly stayed in Texas for two months? Because it couldn't have been BEFORE karmeywallag because if that were the case his English would have been much better by that point? Donna explain

everyone on this website loves the enemies to lovers dynamic but almost every iteration of this sucks because there’s a sweet spot where they’re falling in love and/or want to fuck but they still kind of hate each other. but then shortly after there’s a turning point where they realize they actually like each other and then everything after that is boring romance drivel and the spark is dead. they have to keep hating each other on some level for it to stay sexy!
