this week’s episode of ncis: hawai’i gave the type of kacy content that i have been CRAVING all season! them working a case together, complementing each other skills-wise (kate with the bureaucracy and connections, lucy with the ass-kicking, both with the puzzle-solving), light-hearted moments with the team. hope we get more of that in the remaining few eps.

They are eighteen hours into what they don’t yet know is going to become two nights and three days of one of the best weekends of their lives when Kate’s phone rings. Disgruntled about having to move from her oh-so comfortable position, curled up against Lucy’s side as her bed companion sleeps lightly, Kate grunts and rolls over. With her back to Lucy, she leans down and searches for her bag, finding the strap and pulling it closer. She grabs her phone and hits the red button without even bothering to check who is calling, since all she wants is to get back to the cosy spot in the middle of the mattress.

Before she has the chance to turn over, she feels a hand glide across her shoulders, sweeping her hair away. Lucy’s fingertips are light and soft, and she shivers involuntarily under her touch, letting out a soft sigh.

“What is this?”

She can tell that Lucy is smiling from the lilt in her voice, as she runs her fingers over the small cluster of stars tattooed on her body, just at the nape of her neck.

“A mistake when I was nineteen,” Kate says with a small smile.

“Why was it a mistake?” Lucy asks. “You don’t like tattoos?”

“It’s not that,” Kate says. “I guess if I was going to choose to permanently mark my body, I would have put a bit more thought into it. Not when me and my college roommate had spent the day drinking and decided to get matching tattoos.”

She hears Lucy giggle and enjoys the sound.

“So why stars?”

“It was her choice. Her dad was big into astrology,” Kate says.

“Oh, so you’re easily led,” Lucy teases her.

“I ended up in bed with you, didn’t I?”

Lucy gasps in mock indignation. “If I remember right, you were the one who invited me back to your hotel room.”

Kate can’t argue with that. The moment that she had laid eyes on her, she had been smitten with Lucy’s big brown eyes and sweet smile, her gaze lingering on her soft-looking lips as she introduced herself. Within minutes, she had asked Lucy to join her for dinner, and then for drinks, and then to bed. She isn’t usually so forward, but she is feeling unusually bold on an island where no-one knows her. It’s not like the D.I.A. is going to let her transfer out of Washington anyway.

She missed her flight home yesterday, preferring to spend the day with Lucy instead. She had taken Kate on a tour of the island, where they had hiked their way to the Likeke Falls and eaten the most delicious seafood that Kate has ever tasted. There haven’t been any deep conversations and she likes that; it’s easy and fun with Lucy, knowing that their time together is limited means she can let her walls down a little bit without the fear of getting too close.

Kate is pulled out of her reverie by the sensation of Lucy’s hand running down her back, along her spine and around her waist. She feels her shuffle closer to press her lips against the ink on her skin.

“Well, I think it’s sexy,” Lucy says.

“Oh yeah?”

Kate turns then, twisting her body so that she comes face-to-face with the beautiful woman who has the ability to make her smile so easily.

“Do you have any tattoos?”

Lucy smirks, her eyes twinkling mischievously. “You mean you haven’t found it yet?”

Kate laughs. “Is that a challenge?”

She doesn’t wait for Lucy’s reply before she pulls the sheet away and starts her descent of Lucy’s body, her lips kissing and nipping at her skin as she searches for any markings. There has never been a challenge she hasn’t met yet and she isn’t about to fail now.

when i first saw iceland’s landscape you know what my first thought was??

“wow it looks like hawaii” of ALL places i thought of hawaii

must think me nuts to compare the warm tropical island with lush greenery to the chilly tundra island covered in scrubs & moss right??

i meant it in a sense that they both are volcanic islands with the similar jagged black rocks everywhere, black sand beaches, have active volcanoes, areas that have dangerous rip tide waves, have mountains, & many waterfalls

#the volcanic landscape of iceland reminded me so much of the volcanic landscape of the big island hawaii #except more tundra and less tropic lol #the black sand beaches in hawaii are considered sacred. iceland doesn't. but respect both islands rules about their black sand beaches #definitely respect BOTH islands rules and customs on not going off designated trails #iceland and hawaii are both very protective of their natural environment and landscape #especially so in iceland with their very fragile moss #don't mind sakizm

Still thinking about how my coworker was being mean to me about my memory being shit, which made me angry cry and tell her i have like anxiety and adhd which fucks up my ability to remember simple shit. She backpedeled and told me she never would have said that if she knew(bitch)

The part i keep thinking about though is she told me "you know you can get government assistance for that." Yes my undiagnosed adhd is going to get me loads of cash
