(This story is nearly 5 years old, and though it doesn't show my best work, I decided to post it, just because I stopped it at chapter 18, when there were only 2 more chapters left to finish it. So... I'm gonna give it another shot – making minor edits to make the plot less dramatic and angsty, lol.)

You've changed.

The best thing your boss did was to give you that warning.

You shouldn't keep working for the law if you're just gonna be a traitor.

How am I a traitor?

You work 9 to 5, sometimes 8 to 6, for the benefit of monsters.

Now, all of a sudden, our sex life goes down the drain.

I haven't slept with you since you got that promotion, and that was two whole months ago.

I'm supposed to be your husband, but you've left me in the dry.

I'm tired.

And I refuse to sleep with someone who won't support me in my new job.

Or should I remind you said I wasn't a real detective?

That my degree's 'worth shit', simply because of the field I'm working in these days?

The rest is an ongoing, fruitless conversation you can't bother yourself with.

Through reading those texts for what has to be the twentieth time today, you sigh, hiccup, and close your eyes tight, lifting your face slightly to avoid letting tears fall.

Barely two hours are left until he comes home to drop off your child, and the mere thought that you have to sleep with him five hours after that makes your stomach twist and churn. You don't want to imagine him naked: panting, heavy, and on top of you again, doing whatever he pleases with little regards to your own limits. Nausea takes over – violent, making you open your eyes and suppress a gag.

You really, really don't want anything to do with him anymore.

Yet, he insists you should remain married until your child reaches their eighteenth birthday.

“At least wait until they're grown up,” he said. “Cuz what's six more years? Be honest with me.” Then, he chuckled. “As ugly as you frown when you see me, I doubt you hate me that much.”

That had been a year ago.

Would you really have to wait five more years until your freedom?

The thought sends chills down your spine.

While he was a good father, that adjective didn't really fit next to husband.

At the beginning of your marriage, yes – he was the best spouse you could ask for.

Now?

You'd rather eat drywall than have to spend a single second near him – without your child around, of course.

With your newest agreement, it felt more as if your husband were a client, his payment being not making your life hell, and your service what he claimed was something a wife should be willing to give twenty-four seven.

You shake your head and search for a distraction amongst the people surrounding the bar, aware you can only end up worse if you continue to dwell on the subject. The air presses down on you hot and heavy, a feeling that only increases the more time you stay seated without doing anything for your growing aches. Your sole companion is your mind when you realize you're too overcome with emotions to talk to someone without scaring them off. Chatter drowns out coherent thinking and sensory overload begins to show by how difficult breathing becomes. Seeking an escape route, you hold the bartender back with a raised hand and an 'excuse me'. Then, you ask him for some bottled water – the only kind he could touch willingly. Small embers flutter around the air as he turns around, leaving you alone with burning cheeks and a pounding headache.

Groaning, you pinch the bridge of your nose and blink through your blurry vision. Then, you adjust your glasses – despite knowing the excess shots have pretty much screwed you over already. The hour marked on your phone surfaces a sigh. How fast time seems to be going makes you notice you currently only have around an hour left before your husband arrives with your child. They would be staying with you while he went off to work, and the least you wanted was to look washed up for his arrival.

"need somethin' else, pal?"

You jolt at the new voice, deep and hearty.

Reluctantly, you cast your gaze up to see a skeleton monster standing behind the counter, now glossy with polish. His face is tough to make out with the blurriness, yet you can tell he's looking at you. From the way he stands behind the counter and the stuffy look his suit gives off with its pristine and exaggerated formality, you figure he's a new employee. His newbie appearance doesn't erase the warm and welcoming aura most bartenders appear to carry by default, however. Instead, it makes his smile and words more genuine in his approach.

It takes you a while to respond aside from shaking your head – mind hazy and disoriented. You thank him and sweep the water bottle off the counter, then turn the lid open, breathe in deep, and take a series of long, greedy gulps. Finally, you set it back down, more than half of it already gone.

One more screw up, and you were out of your job at the law department for good.

It doesn't help that you're currently hanging out at a place strictly and utterly forbidden by your boss: a hole-in-the-wall bar and grill establishment open to all, kept family-friendly during the day and becoming more daring during the night. It has been long since you ever drank alcohol of any sort, and it's beginning to show. You can hardly sit without tumbling pitifully to the side.

“hey.”

You're snapped back toward reality through the feeling of someone resting their arms over the counter, facing you and waiting for your return.

You frown and look up from the water bottle to see the same skeleton – his previous stuffy appearance appearing more natural now that he's taken off his tie and left two of the shirt's buttons unfastened.

"i’m no expert on humans, but you look like you could use someone to talk to."

You feel hazy again.

And whether due to the drinks or the heat, you're not too certain of.

But – right now – you're positive about one thing.

“U- Um…”

As you wipe a tear off your cheek and burst out half a sob and half a laugh, you realize you really could use someone to talk to.

“Thank you.”

a thing I think about a lot in like. the background. is how much deltarune doesn't want you to do snowgrave. like it feels like way more than just like writing convenience; in undertale, even if you fail no mercy, things get distinctly worse results-wise the further on the path you got. but snowgrave failures get like... almost forgotten. almost set aside. noelle acts like she's waking up from a dream and moves on, maybe coming up with some quick justification. berdly assumes you're messing with him. a little jingle plays. the game resumes like nothing ever happened (minus the fairly soft neutral route consequences).

and ofc it's Hard to do snowgrave! the conditions are so weird and obscure that like. it's so easy to mess up. if you fight the wrong way, if you don't go out of your way to a dumpster, if you don't have the ring... no matter how much violence you're doing, if you're doing it out of step w this weird process, you get shunted back to normalcy

it adds to the like creepypasta feeling people have talked abt (how many video game urban legends have all these weirdly specific steps that lock you out if you're not careful) but like... also... it feels like the dark world is, like, fighting you. trying to get things back on the rails. there's a story that it wants told of heroism and success, and all the small failures of that get pushed under the rug as soon as it can manage. the story wants to move on. it doesn't care if that means ignoring a lot of deaths and violence; it wants Noelle to reconcile w Queen, to realize her strength, to move forward, no matter what she's like. done.

it's only when something you do affects the light world that there's really no turning back.

What about Undertale?

İf you dont know or didnt pay attention to it, the player is known as the "anomaly". So naturally they won't realise you as their creator (unless its a character who knows that their world is a game COUGHCOUGHgasterCOUGHCOUGH)

Now lets all take a second to realise that... Genocide route is a thing.

How would characters react if they saw the worse of you? And your powers?

A celebration was happening on all across tevat.

For you.

You created them. Gave them life, loved them and even made them stronger than they could ever imagine, and all it took was to pray to you.

You could just leave it at there, you could just see Tevat as a game and nothing more, they would be happy with just being your puppet, yet you gave them more than that.

You visited them, just to meet them and love them personally. You could do that to any other world but you choose to stay with them.

They could do any celebration to you everyday, but this wasnt the reason for their happiness today.

You chose some of your acolytes for them to visit some of the other worlds you created.

The others were jealous. What did THEY do to deserve it that they didn't do?

But they were happy nontheless, they get to be closer to you by knowing your worlds. No one in other worlds didnt get a chance like THAT before!!

Not knowing that they simply asked. And you were like "sure why not?"

VENTİ THE BARD

He stared at you dreamily as you (attempted) to play an ensturment that you never played before.

Angel's share was loud as usual. That's spesificly because you were wearing a disguise, so no one would think they are disturbing their god and try to keep it down. Only Diluc, who is working today to keep an extra eye on you as the bard and you sat and drink the night away knew who you realy were.

The insturment was given to you by another bard, you seemed like a friendly face so they knew they could trust you with an insturment while they use the restroom. Even said "feel free to try playing it! Who knows maybe you will like it?"

Your brows were furrowed and your head was tilted to the side as you are trying to find the correct note for the song. Everytime you find one your eyes go wide, shining, then you try the next note.

His toughts were cut short as you raise your head, "i think i did it! İt took a while but i finaly did it!"

"Congratulations! İ knew you could! What is the song about?"

"There was this one... World... İ visited it as a relaxation. And the moment i heard of this soundtra- uhh song, i fell in love with it!"

"Ah, İ know the feeling of falling in love with a song! Didn't know you were romantic like that~" he teased.

"Haha, well there is alot that you don't know about me yet"

"İ want to know! Can you tell me more about it?'

"Hmm... How about... We go there together?"

"!!!" He almost fell from his chair, Diluc looked at you in disbelief "your highness, are you sure that you want to go with... Him?"

"H-hey now what does that supposed to mean!"

"İ simply think they might rather go with someone who is more respectful towards them and their world."

"Well jokes on you!" He got up from his chair and hold your hand "they choose me! That means im respectful enough!"

He turned back to Diluc, grinning "and maybe they preffer someone thats not emotionless all the time?"

And before Diluc or you can say anything, he drags you away from the Angel's share.

"Lets go now!"

"Where???"

"The world you were talking about silly! Where else?"

"Now? İ mean we could but, maybe we should let others know since-"

"But you are free today, and who knows when we will be able to spend time like this again?"

You tought about it for a second. He is right, you don't know when you will be free from your duties again, especially with him? This might be a fun opportunity to have fun!

But the world he was talking about was...

He slowly let go of your hand "uhh, but if you don't want to, thats fine! We can do something else!"

"İ was just thinking, its been a while since i visited that world, i never personally visited it either."

You crossed your arms "im not sure what i did in that world last time. So it might not be what you think."

"Thats fine! İ always wanted to travel anyway" he beamed. "Hehehe, imagine Morax's face when he asks where we were!" You also laugh. Maybe this will turn out fun!

Short, yellow flowers that grew on the bottom of the pit is the first think both of you saw as your visions slowly get used to the dark.

İt was quiet, the air was suprisingly clear for a cave under the ground. You saw Venti, who is trying to commit everything to his memory, he leans down to touch the flowers, they were soft, and smells like sweetflowers in Tevat.

"Shall we?" You said, pointing at the dark corridor.

He gets up and was on your side in an instant.

"Lets go!"

After both of you go through the gate you realise two things.

One, flowey was nowhere to be seen. And two,

"İts *cough* realy hard to breath in here!" Venti said "is it because we are underground?"

You stoped breathing for a moment as the realisation sinks in.

"Lets head back" you said, half panicking.

"What? Why? We just came here?"

You never tought about it. İf genshin was a real world, then so is undertale. And in this world you...

"İts empty, l-lets come back another time!

You imprisoned them in this hell and tortured them, over and over again. Just for your entertainment.

"Theres nothing to see here, would you like to go to anywhere else? Theres a world about music?"

"Woah, whats gotten into you? You seem upset, Are you ok?"

You started to panic, you killed those monsters. They didn't do anything but be nice to you and you killed them.

You learned that the games you downloaded were real when you got isekaid into genshin. You never tought about the other worlds and what you might caused to others.

What if he learned that? The god of freedom seeing what you had done to the monsters here, would he think of you as the monster?

Would he hate you?

"Hey, don't be upset! We can leave! We don't have to stay!"

"Y-yeah lets leave-"

Theres a sudden noise coming from across the Hall.

"Hey! What are you! Are you humans?!" You saw froggit with an armour, from asgore's castle.

"A talking frog?" He looked down.

"You are under arrest! As a member of the Royal guards, i won't let the underground go through another horrible dissaster!"

"Hey now, Don't you realise who are you talking with-"

But before he could say it, the fight menu is opened. Everything went black. And your souls have

You peaked at your LV, 90. Just as you feared it would be.

Venti brings his weapon out, waiting for your order. You mentioned him to put it away, and clicked on the MERCY menu. You intent to run away. You dont want to remember it, you don't want to kill anyone again.

Of course, being LV 90, you dont have the option to run away anymore. You desperatly pressed ACT instead, and chose the friendliest option that might get both of you out of here.

You told FROGGİT "We don't want to fight. We are just kids that need help"

FROGGİT didn't understand what you said but pitied you anyway.

"Are those white bugs-"

"Get down!!"

You try to drag him away from the attacks, having memorised all of them, but it was harder in Real life and with an unexperianced person with you.

When you failed to dodge on of the attacks and it hit Venti in the arm. His pained voice makes you panic even more.

İt was even harder to concentrate this time, what will happen if you get caught? Will they bring you to...

Suddenly your toughts were stoped byba sudden pain on your side.

"Y/N!!!"

Once the attacks came to an end, he checked you for injuries, ignoring his, only to realise you aren't phisicaly hurt.

You check back to the game window.

FROGGİT seems like it doesn't want to fight you anymore.

---------------------------------------------------------

You never clicked MERCY that fast in your entire gaming life in undertale.

Froggit looked at you, "you are right, even though a human did that to us, not all humans could be as bad as them!" He turned back and walked towards the ruins. "Come, i will guide you to a safe area."

...not all humans could be as bad as them...

"What was that about?! Are you ok??"

"İm fine Venti. Here, eat this."

"What is this?"

"Just candy"

"Dear, as much as i love candies and want to experiance the world, are you sure its the time..?"

"We don't need Medical attention in this world. Eating is enough."

"Are you sure?"

"İm sorry who created this world here?"

"Oh, hehe, right!"

You both eat in silence. Slowly getting used to the dust in the air made your skin crawl, as if you accept everything you have done. You want to leave, and delete this game for good. But that would mean killing them once again.

"İm sorry" he broke the silence "you didn't want to be here but i forced you to."

"İt's not your fault."

He smiled sadly "You don't have to lie to make me feel better, your highness."

"No, realy, its not your fault. İ...."

The silence grew once again. What could you even say? You know he also killed people but yours was diffrent, more horrifying. Even if he didn't hate you, his wiews of you would change forever.

"Also why didn't you let me kill it?" He asked.

"What?! Why would you?'

"İt attacked us! İt attacked YOU!"

"İ know but its just a frog"

"İt was a monster, not a normal frog!"

You looked at him "so thats how you can easily harm a hilichurl, because they are monsters?'

"...This is not our topic."

"... You are right." Why are you saying this? This is exactly what you did in this world "im sorry.."

"Are you realy ok?"

Well, there was no point in denying. "...no im not"

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"....."

You hear froggit hop through again "whats taking you so long? Lets go it isn't safe!"

"We will stay here." Venti said, still on his guard.

"Look, i know you guys are humans and never saw monsters and all, but we will be the least of your worries if you meet them."

"Who is that human anyway?"

You shiver.

"There has been another human that fell down here, not so long ago. İ didnt get to meet them but i Heard that they have a scary aura around them. Some monsters say that they smell like... Dust..."

"Dust?"

"Humans and monsters are diffrent, humans stay the same when they die but for monsters, we turn to dust."

"...is this why its... Hard to breath?"

"Yeah but thats not the scariest of them all! Wanna hear a story?"

"No we don't." You said harshly, but it didn't come out as intimidating as you hoped it would.

"Of course you do :D" froggit sais

"Everyone who fought them died exept for one person!"

Oh no you didn't beat sans yet...

"And they even said that human has SOOO much determination, that they get reborn when they die!"

"Gets reborn... After they die?"

İt was one of your powers.

İt won't take long untill he puts two and two together. You need to shut it up NOW.

your words didn't frighten froggit before, but your stare certainly has.

"Uhhhh anyway, you guys come with me when you are ready!" And with that froggit flees.

"...your Grace?"

"....."

"Was that human... Your vessel?"

".....They are."

"Oh. Thats why you..."

"Can we go now please?"

He can tell that you don't want to talk about it, especially now. So he just followed you, without a word.

You are greeted by the sound of busy Mondstadt streets. İt was a beautifull day today. Perfect weather for a nice walk, but after THAT encounter, you couldn't bring yourself to even move from where you arrived.

"..such a nice weather! Would you like to join me for a walk?" Venti asked hesitantly. "İf... You want to talk about it, ill listen."

"....you know you don't owe me anything, just because i created this..."

"..game?" He added, smiling. "İ know. İm not doing it because i owe you."

"But after what you heard, why would you.."

"Lets go! We can talk about it when no one hears us."

"Where are we going?"

"İ too have my regrets you know. İts impossible to live a life without having those. So of all people, i know that this doesn't make you a bad person.

İ am reminded of my past mistakes everytime i go to windrise, so.. why not talk about it there?"

No, Toriel’s plan wouldn’t have worked either.

hot take, but i don’t think that Toriel’s version of “the plan” would have worked. least, not the way she concieved of it.

now, this is not to join the apparently extant toriel hatred train. I’m a relatively new member of the fandom, I’ve only been here for like the past year, haven’t seen any of it for myself, but having heard that it exists and was so bad that it pushed some people away, I wanna make clear that this isn’t what I’m going on.

Her response to what Asgore did was completely valid. Man declared war on the species one of her adopted children just came from and acted like their dead son had absolutely no relation to Chara. And, of course, Asgore wasn’t acting entirely rationally, and by the time he’d declared war, it wasn’t just him declaring it, it was all of monsterkind supporting it. (Part of what I think especially drove Toriel to self-imposed exile - not just Asgore’s declaration, but monsterkind supporting it.) I’m an asgoriel shipper, but I’m not about to perform mental gymnastics to demonize her for leaving in an understandable situation.

for reference: what I specifically mean by “her version of the plan” is what she says at the end of Undertale’s pacifist route - when she says Asgore should have just taken one child’s soul and gone through the barrier to take six more souls.

Of course, the issue of this is that humans are humans. If six people are killed in Ebbott, then the rest of the town’s either going to band together to try to kill Asgore, or they’re going to go everywhere else and ask for help.

Then Asgore wouldn’t just have to kill 6 humans. He’d have to kill more and more and more until humankind finally considered stopping.

To quote one of my favorite books, Dune by Frank Herbert, “A human would remain in the trap...that he might kill the trapper and remove a threat to his kind.” Humans would keep coming long past the point it was blisteringly clear that Asgore was undefeatable in the dim, thin, impossible hope that they’d kill the monster that had killed so many others. They would keep coming until either the comparatively few survivors surrendered to Asgore.

The victims of this plan would not just be 7. They would be thousands.

Of course, Toriel didn’t think of it like this. I’d be surprised if even Asgore had thought of it like this. We know why they did what they did - Asgore just didn’t want to have to kill any more children, and Toriel didn’t want to see any more children leave and die. It was an alternative she’d likely thought of practically as soon as the first child had left and died.

I suppose some of this is just to say - be careful when you wish for alternatives. Sometimes the only thing worse than the shitty situation you’re in is the alternative you think would be better.

Valentine's Special

So, as the title says it's special on St. Valentine's day. I'll just tell ya about my top 3 favorite ships in Undertale, judge them and tell something about this ship but in Undermourning. I already made post about relationships but it's something different.

Anyway, I had this post prepared on the former year but I didn't wrote it in time so... here you have it now.

Undyne x Alphys

So this ship at start has two things that make me like this. First, It's ship with my favorite character from Undertale, Undyne. Second, it's ship of two girls. Honestly, lesbian ships are my favorite. Gender is not everything in ship, but it gives some extra points at start. I just dunno, I enjoy seeing to girls in love with each other.

I like this ship dynamic. Undyne is daring and lively while Alphys is shy liar with lack of self-confident. Both has strong feelings for each other. Alphys was lying to Undyne because she wanted to impress her, while what Undyne really like about Alphys is her passion (that's exactly what she said). + I love this scene when we're rolepaying with Alphys and Undyne just come in the best moment XD

I really like this ship. It was my most favorite ship from Undertale. I still love it! Maybe not that much but still. The fact that Alphys was lying to Undyne to impress her and couldn't get closer to her in result was adding my favourite thing - drama.

About Undermourning... Before Alphys' accident, Alphys and Undyne were a couple. They became lovers when Alphys became more self-confident. They spent a lot of time and probably that is why Undyne feels lack of something. Of course, she can't remember Alphys but Undyne can tell she misses something. It's frustrating for her. When she does something connected to Alphys she feels like she was near, but when she finishes doing that, she feels the lack of something even worse. And Undyne can't even date with anyone. If she would, she would feel like she betrays someone.

Sans x Toriel

So, their relationship in Undertale, it's friendship. But it's kinda funny that before meeting at True Pacifist Route they didn't even know each other name. They were just telling bad puns. That's all. But I like vision of Sans and Toriel as laid-back couple. I mean, they are going on dates and act romantic but there always are jokes and making fun, looking more like a couple of friends than lovers. It's not canon so we can't know how would it look like but I really believe it would look like what I've said. I love this vision :) + Toriel is my second favorite character

About Undermourning... "door-friends". That's all. If ya don't understand... here.

Chara x Asriel

I say that I see Chara and Asriel relationship in many ways. Sometimes as sibling, friendship, couple. I like every of them but as a romantic ship I can call it my favorite ship from Undertale. I want to tell I usually see Chara as a girl (a little outdated info now). Though I like to show Chara in a lot of ways because it's very universal character.

And well... incest. It may be quite controversial opinion but hey! It is not incest! Asriel never calls Chara sibling, only best friend. Asgore doesn't even call Chara their child! The fact that Chara was treated like their child/sibling was just observation of other monsters.

I see them as sibling sometime, sometime I see them as best friend and sometimes as couple. Just depends on what I want currently. But in canon they aren't confirmed to be sibling to each other.

And about Undermourning, this ship is impossible. :') But okay, if they would survive maybe they would develop some feelings but in my AU they actually see each other as sibblings. + Their sexual orientation is unkown for them and for me aswell :'> Too little time to uncover it.

I have Spicy Undertale Opinions™ about Toriel stuff but that's not worth sticking my hands into instead I just wanna go the positive route and say I think Asgore's fuckups make him a way more interesting and tragic character. Like he did the ABSOLUTELY wrong thing but it all stems from lashing out in anger and grief and I think he realized how badly he fucked up almost immediately but it was too late. His entire kingdom, many of whom probably genuinely hated humans for what happened in the past and now had even more reason to hate them, were now completely behind his declaration of war. He'd pretty much made his bed and he was gonna lie in it. I think that's also the reason he didn't cross the barrier with one soul. He didn't WANT to. He was trying to delay this war as much as he possibly could because he knew it was wrong but he had no outs.

I just really hate people reducing his character and the context for everything that happened as if he, and everyone else involved for that matter, weren't all in horrible situations and making bad decisions.

yo! i was watching this one video essay on undertale (the one by supereyepatchwolf) and he mentioned how undyne disregards the player as something that isnt human and he reasons its bc regular in universe humans do not have the ability to create save points/reset/etc i know its mostly fan speculation but i was wondering on what your thoughts were on whether or not in universe humans could do this (mine is that those wizards that trapped monsters could, but most humans cant which like im just reasoning as so bc how would a war like that even be fought)

Okay gonna answer this in two parts!

Why Undyne refers to you as something inhuman: I don't think it has to do with save points at all. She doesn't know you have that power--though based on her phone calls, she DOES think humans have crazy powers based on anime she watched with Alphys (ex. mind control). Save points wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility to her, probably. No, she sees you as something even worse than a human. She has some respect for humans (also because of Alphys) despite her desire to take your soul (in a neutral/pacifist route). What you are in a no mercy route isn't a human or a monster, but something worse and more terrifying. There are other instances in no mercy of characters calling you not a human too. Sans, near where you first meet him. Papyrus isn't sure you're actually a human. Asgore doesn't recognize you as one. It's a recurring theme throughout the route.

Can in-universe humans load/save?: Yes and no! In my headcanon, it's a side effect of a human soul passing through the barrier. (Which may also be why Chara wasn't able to reset after leaving and getting killed by humans within Asriel's body. But that's less relevant here.) We know that the humans who fell could save and load due to how Toriel describes the deja vu feeling she had about all of them (if you reset after a neutral route, during the butterscotch or cinnamon call). I think it's Chara's help that allows Frisk to have enough Determination to continue loading after dying to Asgore, whereas the other humans eventually gave up. Maybe the mages could also save and load, but I haven't thought about them much. Regardless, I don't think it's a normal thing among surface humans in the present day.

This is.... kind of an important post.

That newest blog @coolsans151 was meant to be so much more.

Coolsans IS so much more.

I'm about to go on a HUGE fucking rant about the extended universe that isnt... yet... and may never be.

Coolsans is the primordial god of potential, which means he is the physical and abstract embodiment of the concept of potential.

He was born like most other gods. Endless void between universes cataclysmic occurrence, and POOF there he was, formless, but alive, and thinking.

He wonders for a good few billion years, before learning that the windows he saw leading into other worlds were actually doors he could go through.

Skip around a few "years" (a lot longer actually) and he is now roughly 13 years old mentally. He travels from dimension to dimension beating up heroes and villains and all.

A this point, coolsans has no clue of who he is, who he's SUPPOSED to be. But some of his powers have already manifested, namely the "bit" system. Upon defeating any foe, he gains their "bit" basically a copy of the defeated foes power, some of their personality traits too.

By absorbing these bits he can use those powers flawlessly, as if he was the original bearer.

It's with one of these bits, that he duplicates himself infinitely, and tells all these replicas to just "have fun" across the omniverse. Some end up becoming tyrants, villians.. Some become great heroes, protectors. Some are more normal, just regular people.

BuT one thing remains consistent. None of them rape, murder anyone (aside from those they deem, irredimable), nor engage in any paraphilic desires.

This is our first glimpse into the truth or coolsans, even now at what is arguably his most awful version, he still won't go THAT low

Skip around a whole bunch of smaller events, including an altercation with sonic.exe, which was probably coolsans's first actual fight. He doesn't even use X's bit, as he knew it would alter his personality to be even more psychopatic.

And that's another point, coolsans is extremely insane. He revels in the pain of others, and in mentally destroying his enmeies by giving them false hope that they CAN win, before crushing them instantly. At least that's how he was, before...

Eventually he ends up in the world of Undertale, and decides to go in without any powers.now you'd think he'd just genocide his way through, possibly even being worse than your average geno playthrough.

Instead, something compels him to spare first.

And it's this one choice, this one moment that spirals into coolsans, becoming... me.

For the first time, as he gives peace a chance, and interacts with these monsters... these people, something sparks withing coolsans. The potential for... humanity.

And once he makes it to the end of Undertale, he doenst want to commit genocide. So he does EVERYTHING else.

Every single thing undertale has to offer, every FUN value interaction, every ending, secret, and possible combination of those.

Until he has nothing left to do.

He kills them all, and feels guilty and remorse. The worst part is that by now he knows that there WILL be consequences. But when faced with those consequences in the form of Chara. he refuses.

E fights Chara using as many boys as he could access before the connection was cut, and wins. Then he restores the world and does a TRUE reset, erasing even characs memories.

Then he achieves what no one else ever has, and ever will. He obtains the PERFECT Undertale ending. Chara and asriel are brought back.

It not gaster, as coolsans knows that gaster would blow the whole secret of him commiting genocide put of th water.

He secret of his powers and origina was something he could care less about though.

He tells sans, asriel, and Chara, and says that now he wants to redeem himself of what he's done before (though never mentions the geno route)

They decide to help him, and the four go through many adventures.

Across the way they even recruit a Sonic (regular sonic, not an exe) before entering a tournament that will decide who will be the next recruits at the super omniverse police.

The tournament is led by a so called "fat yoshi" the and god of MEMES. This is the first time coolsans meets another god, even without knowing of his own origin.

In the Tournament are some of the most powerful meme characters, such as emo peter/bully Maguire, one jump man Luigi, and most powerful of all, ultra instinct shaggy

Now while all of these characters have backatories and importance in their themes etc. We are for using on coolsans for now, reblog and comment if you want me to talk about them if you want me to focus on them later.

skipping the entire arc, which is more like a battle royale than a tournament. Ita revealed at the end, after coolsans and shaggy end up going n an eternal loop of shaggy going to a higher percentage of power, while coolsans adds more kaioken multipliers, fat yoshi steps in and defeats them with a single finger.

He Then tells everyone that the tournament wasn't actually going to decide anything, no matter who won they were all going to enter the ranks anyway. It was just o gauge how strong they were and rank them appropriately.

Lost story short coolsans and the others enter the super space omniverse police. And go on to have more adventures. But to coolsans something seems off about fat yoshi, and his involvement in all of the missions.

Now I think I've shared enough of coolsans for now, and besides that's where season one wraps up, if any of you are interested in me telling you more about coolsans story, better knows as "the coolsans show" then please reblog and say so, or I won't be able to know.

Speaking of Kimi Ga Shine (YTTD), Zero Escape (and undertale i guess), Something interesting about the Danganronpa fandom is how obsessed they are with the idea of "multiple routes". As you may or may not know, the original Danganronpa Game: "Distrust" had the idea of having who kills and who dies to be affected by the player with the "Trust meter". Currently, Danganronpa has only had bad endings with one where you make a choice but that's about it.

While I would like to see this and it would make the game interesting but the fandom acts like they were robbed of something amazing when they learn about this. I saw comments about how the lack of this feature was "wasted potential" or how they would rather play Distrust over Danganronpa. Idk, Danganronpa's killing game structure and visual scope would make the idea of different killer/victim routes overly ambitious. It's not impossible but it would be like writing 2 danganronpa games for the price of one. Especially if the original plan was for potentially multiple routes for EACH chapter like that's going to be a nightmare to write and develop for. There are probably some minor ways they can make it work like only ONE split divergence but the other games (YTTD, Zero Escape, Undertale) I mentioned have their entire premise designed with multiple routes in mind. YTTD, Undertale, and 999 don't have the visual scope Danganronpa does.

TLDR

Routes with Different Killers/Victims sounds cool but it's not absolutely needed and Danganronpa's killing game structure and visual scope would make it a nightmare to develop for.

i think anyone who thinks DISTRUST would've been better than danganronpa, a. has never even looked vaguely into game and narrative development, and b. thinks until dawn would've been the peak of gaming and storytelling if not for all the appropriation of Algonquian folklore, but i actually had a video script about this

the feature they're talking about would've been cool in terms of gimmick, but ultimately it would've never seen the light of day even if they stubbornly decided to make it work. again this is a long post

branching paths works with undertale because the genocide route is so fundamentally different to the pacifist route that you are basically playing two different stories, and it doesn't work with YTTD because it means that for all the 'realistic depictions of grief' (people do not develop hallucinations and go into depressed fugues while their lives are still actively in danger, that's why it's post-traumatic stress disorder), characters have to proceed with the notion that Ken Tanaka and Hana Watanabe could be both alive or dead, so they either proceed weirdly mournfully or weirdly okay with someone being dead. DISTRUST would inevitably have very similar issues - even worse, in fact. undertale was barely a glimmer in toby fox's eye in 2008.

so there's that problem - so why not solve it by having multiple writers writing down all the routes? well, let's do some math.

let’s say any character can kill any other on any runthrough, but the number of victims per case and killers per case is always 1, until Trial 6, where the mastermind is revealed. with 15 characters, potentially 16, and any of them able to kill any other, even if we eliminate the possibility of a character's trust meter reaching 0 and them committing suicide, we’re still looking at 10 kills per game. multiply 16 by 15 to account for no suicides. That leaves us with 240 possible pathways for the game to take, all needing to be crammed onto the PSP’s small cartridge space, because this was in the transition between the 6th and 7th console generation.

if we add in the possibility of anybody being the mastermind, that's 240 x 15 for 'no, naegi will never be the mastermind' and 240 x 16 for 'naegi might be the mastermind'. that's 3600-3840 branching pathways.

another thing im aware of is makoto being one choice for protagonist and kyouko being the other, a la Sonic Adventure 2's Hero/Dark stuff (one of the ideas i think was pretty good, getting to see the same events from a different perspective). but in conjunction with this idea, that means we double the amount of pathways again; 7,680 pathways.

then we add on 'well hold on, we might need new murder scenes each time so that even if Leon gets murdered in Chapter 2, it won't be the same case each time'. let's be kind and only add on an extra 2 ways the case could play out SIKE THAT'S NOT KIND IN THE SLIGHTEST.

7,680 x 3 = 23040

and if you think that seems doable, let's say kodaka has got a team of about 5 writers and they each have a deadline of 1 month to write an entire path before moving on to the next one - a completely unrealistic and insane time limit that nobody would be able to adhere to, but let's say the team are writing gods and can actually do it.

they would be writing out paths for the next 1920 years.

i.e they could have started writing these paths when christianity's first dogma and formulas regarding morality and the kama sutra were being put together, and they would've only JUST FINISHED just before the COVID-19 pandemic hit.

there's also the fact that you would sacrifice being able to tell a good thematic narrative but as the fandom has kind of established it cares more for novelty than any deep themes and so novelty is what drives fandom discussions
