First off, your newest Kuroo story WRECKED ME. OMMMMMG LIKE IT'S SOOO FUCKING GOOD. You are one of the most incredible writers ever, like professional style writing. These should be books and you should get paid for it, honestly. Your skill is totally unmatched, my friend. I just adore everything you write. I had two questions thou about the story, just because I am totally obsessed by it- so has Kuroo been obsessed with her since he saw her, I'm like curious how his obsession started 

like is it because she's young and he's interested? so, like with all my fics i kind of have a ‘read into it how you want’ thing going for it. whether or not kuroo actually has ‘romantic’ (i use that word loosely) feelings for the reader or whether he just enjoys fucking her because he’s in a position of power and she’s easily manipulated is left a little up to your interpretation and how you’d prefer to imagine it. however, having said that there are little hints throughout the fic that imply that there’s a little more depth to kuroo’s feelings. you’re not wrong with the whole ‘showing her off’ vibe at the party, and there’s mentions of confessions that kuroo gives while he’s fucking the reader - also the title of the fic, invidia, means envy in latin. so take that how you will 🤷‍♀️

and as far as how it all began, i like to think that it was kind of a slow build. again it’s implied that kuroo has met the reader (however briefly) a few times before - at games as nekoma’s manager, when she initially was introduced as his girlfriend and she has stayed over at their place in the past. it wasn’t so much a singular moment, but kuroo’s definitely been paying more attention to her than she realises.

Hi i absolutely love the kuroo fic at first no one would actually notice he was into and then story actually rises nicely however i would like to ask like what happens later im sorry im a little burnt out from my mountains of assignments that i cant think of a possible aftermath since the story had an open ending but yeah what happens later after the whole scene does y/n stay there for the 7 days and get r*ped again or she goes home early and like what happens to kuroo and shinsuke im sorry for annoying you with questions its fully up to you whether u would like to answer or not :-)

Honestly again, it’s kind of left up to what you like to think would happen, but personally I think that the reader stays, because there’s no easy way to get out of that situation without raising suspicion - which means that she then has to spend the next week trying unwittingly playing cat and mouse with Kuroo who’s gonna use every damn opportunity he has to push your boundaries 👀

Duuuuude invidia fucked me up! Like fuck, lol! The build up was so spectacular! It makes me wonder two things: how did kuroo’s obsession start, and what would shin have done if he caught them (and why do I feel like he’d join in... I guess it runs in the family lol).

Thess vs Mythology

One of the things that interests me is how we’ve taken to the ancient mythologies and continued to evolve then past the point of the original gods’ worship in any ... you know, national or global scale.

Anecdote time: Facebook has a tendency to find the cool stuff Tumblr has to offer, screencap it and then bring it out days, weeks or even months after the initial post. Memes, stories, you name it. And one of the usual posts about Greek gods being really fucked up and Hades and Persephone going, “...Y’all need therapy”, alluding to Hades and Persephone as the only functional relationship in the Greco-Roman pantheon.

For the first time, I saw someone rise up righteous and explain in a ‘better read than thou’ kind of way about how Hades kidnapped and raped Persephone and held her hostage for six months out of the year over some fucking pomegranate seeds etc etc etc. Going back to the myth I heard at school, basically - the more simplified Greco-Roman mythology.

On the other hand ... I remember thinking when I first heard that myth that Demeter was ... kinda ... awful? I mean, yes, your daughter’s been kidnapped - allegedly - by the Lord of the Underworld and instead of gathering allies and assaulting the Underworld - which even mortals manage to do now and then ... she ... took it out on the mortals, freezing them all and killing their crops and refusing to ease up despite actively killing people who had nothing to do with the situation until she got what she wanted, which was her daughter back.

Honestly ... this screams of overcontrolling and potentially abusive family to me, and did then. So, when the alternative take on things came up - that, like, maybe Persephone didn’t actually want to go back and the crap about the pomegranate seeds was a line of bullshit that would allow her to go to someplace where she didn’t have to deal with a mother who threw literally genocidal tantrums when she didn’t get her way - I embraced it with open arms. I mean, she’d been courted by other gods before, but Demeter took their courting gifts and literally hid Persephone away from all the gods. And there’s actually a cultural precedent for someone who was deemed an unacceptable suitor ‘kidnapping’ their intended to get around socioeconomic barriers and parental bullshit.

Anyway, point is that here we are, re-interpreting the myths and legends of long-dead civilisations, and we’re doing it ... dare I say ‘better’? Zeus is supposed to be unquestioned all-powerful King of the Gods, but to 21st century mythology enthusiasts, he’s just a fuckboy. We’ve embraced Loki as the trickster god he was always meant to be; the whole deal with Baldur basically being, “Okay, let’s set up this bunch of insane circumstances that if everything happens just right will throw some serious spanners into the works of sooooo many lives ... and see what happens! For the lulz!” We have Odin opening the halls of Valhalla to victims of abuse and cancer patients, acknowledging that not all warriors die on a standard battlefield. We’ve taken the old gods and we’ve made them relevant to us. It’s a beautiful thing.

...It’s a shame that a small but heavily vocal minority of Christians are doing the same with their own scripture, turning the sacrifice of the Prince of Peace, the New Covenant of forgiveness and acceptance, into just one more way to justify the oppression and abuse of anyone they deem ‘wrong’ somehow.

For the record? I’m not a Christian. I do believe that there is a higher power out there, sure. I just think it’s something too big to be encompassed in one face, and that we have made the divine look so many ways, given them so many faces and roles, because that higher power comes to us in the shapes and faces we give it - the shapes and faces we need. It’s sad that so many people in terms of sheer numbers (if not in terms of majority of human beings) really need just one god made of hate, spite and harshly unfair judgement ... especially when that god sacrificed a son - part of itself, in fact - in token of a new Testament of peace, acceptance and forgiveness. Sometimes Christians make me sad. I hope the face they gave their god can explain a few things to them, somehow, one day.

Meanwhile, I’ll just keep rejoicing in the fact that while the new worship is getting nastier all the time, ancient mythology is becoming ... do I say ‘woke’ in this instance?

Thanks! I’m planning on doing a photo set with all my Doll!Erik deformities. I’ve done Lon Chaney, US style since I didn’t know the restaged tour had a different one, restaged tour, and now I’m doing Leroux style. (also planning on doing a secret santa doll photo set including the Tanz ones)

Does having a lot of the ones you make count? I don’t REALLY collect dolls. I have a beautiful porcelain doll in vague historical clothing and a Japanese style doll in a kimono, but she’s more like a doll size statue as you literally cannot move anything on her. She’s gorgeous thou. Both of those were gifts, probably from my grandmother. I know my grandma used to have the Japanese one. I also have a some Monster High dolls, a few of the vampire ones and 2 Operetta, the daughter of the Phantom of the Opera. The only dolls I would kinda caught as a sort of ‘collector item” type thing are my Phantom of the Opera barbies I bought off ebay years back. Oh, and some really nice Halloween Barbies that are like actual collector items, “not playthings” as it was listed on the website. I’ve been thinking about getting a Ball jointed doll, thou. I really like the sort of customization aspect. I want to make pretty historical outfits for it and dress it up in them, basically. I have a historical costume itch and doll clothes are much smaller and easier. should probably dig out my old american girl dolls

I’m near sighted. So, when I’m wearing my contacts, I have perfect far sight, but my near sight is slightly impaired by them! That’s basically the reason I don’t like to wear them most of the time, also aesthetic, I really like my glasses.

And Dmitri Hvorostovsky’s Fin ch'han dal vino!! Pretty sad that Hvorostovsky died on the 22nd last month.

AND I am in love with Luca Pisaroni’s verison of the Catalogue Aria at the Glyndebourne last year. Best Leporello. Love how they updated the written list of Don Giovanni’s conquests to photos of them. And I love how he starts to throw them in the middle of the song. His acting is just amazing.

Tale as old as time: Making my way downtown.

TODAY

During my usual days, I wake up around 6am to get my shit done and go directly to my ojt site. But today was different. I exerted a little bit of effort waking up as early as 4:30 am to get ready for the block screening, and not doing my internship instead coz how can you say “NO” to a free block screening of your fave childhood fairytale. Plus, the queen allowed me to drive my way today coz I got so many stuff to accomplish. And to my surprise, full tank siya!! <3 So yeah, I was feeling a little bit under the weather for the past days so it’s taking me too long to get ready to leave. I was still “balisa” until my bestfriend called me and was like, “Where art thou? Papunta na kami sa Starbs. Kunin na namin breakfast natin..” Yeah, they are excited coz free ride and free breakfast. Thanks Josh of Starbs for thy gift certs. It was delightful. LOL My granny forced me to leave the house coz it was already 6am. And I feel panic-y coz she’s already shouting and there I hopped on the car with boxers, loose shirt and no shoes on. And to add insult to the injury, I picked up skirt instead of shorts or pants.. So I am screwed and I am forced to wear skirt for the entire day...But the good thing is, I still have my vans inside my mom’s car. Vans’ like my security footwear. (Lol, does that term even exist?)

As I was driving my way up to Antip, I suddenly realized that there’s no way I can avoid Masinag’s traffic. Trust me, it’s horrible. So as I was waiting for my friends outside starbs, I was able to browse my itouch and yes, thank you to waze!! We were able to be at Robmag 10 minutes before the movie starts. So yuhooo!! And then yeah, we felt like a movie star because of the red carpet thing, there were usherettes, and the mall was like exclusively just for the tipol dudes, we felt special even just for a day. Charot!!! And when we got inside the cinema. I was kinda alarmed because we were sharing the same cinema with the MassComm department. Our univ’s Psych and MassComm and rivals for a couple of years. So yeah, nevermind, we are here for the movie, not for you guys. LOL. Then nagstart na yung movie. 

After the movie, we went directly to the clinical setting coz of our evaluation etc. My supervisor did a surprise interview to rate/grade us. And his/her first question was, “So kumusta kayo ni Pangga? Nililigawan ka ba nun?” And i was like, “Blocked na lahat yun sa lahat ng social media accnts ko.” LOL. Then I asked him to proceed with the real evaluation set-up. And yeah, I got a flat 1 for my clinical set-up evaluation. High five, Sir Jhay! So, Dr. S.... Flat 1 na din po. *cough* Cum Laude *cough* LOL

I checked on my gown for the masquerade ball next next week. I got into fitting last month and when I tried fitting it today, it was sooooo loose. So yaaaay. I shed some pounds. Lels. So yeah, I wasnt able to bring it home and the mananahi asked me to go back next week to get it. And after the gown fitting, I dropped my friends off their own lunggas. And they’re just the sweetest, they gave me a box full of kitkat, “Bayad namin yan sa’yo. Salamat sa mala-fast and the furious na biyahe.” LOL 

And as I was driving my way home, I’m feeling kinda cool so I put the windows down, listening to ToP (full volume), and drove slowly going down the zigzag. And as I was in the middle of that zig-zag road, it felt different. The car suddenly stopped. I was startled coz it’s my first time to use my mom’s car and I had no idea what happened. Then a driver who passed by me said, “Hija, na-flat front wheel mo.” JUSQ. When I heard it I was like, “Kill me, now.” Gusto ko ng magpalamon sa lupa that time, for real. The drive was like 15 mins away from the house then this happened. A girl who looked like she’s about to go home from the party, wearing midriff, skirt and vans abt to change tires in the middle of the zigzag. Nice nice. So I looked for a youtube tutorial about changing tires coz I wasn’t able to contact my brother for help. Some cars were stopping by and offering their help pero nah, I am keeping my composure and secretly hoping that I can do this, on my own. And after a few youtube video tutorials... Tadah, I manage to change tires, hell - it was terrifying, and heavy.  Feel ko nabawi yung isang linggo na hindi ako nakapag workout. Hehe. Once I was done changing tires, I put all the things at the trunk and drove all the way down the zigzag na mala-ff7 LOL.

Yes, I arrived home, safely and dirty.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST EXPERIENCE

The first part was okay.... The  suddenly it became interesting...  Along with astounding design and nostalgic and catchy songs, it became magical. I was starting to hear “yieee”  “omg”  “Gaaahd.”  And then the part where the two protagonists are starting to like each other was like the highlight of the days. The fact na lahat kami we’re like kinikilig inside the cinema was indeed unbelievable. Two rival programs inside the cinema and we’re like making pa-cute and kulit to each other was like new for us. Drop the program, carry our childhood.

A cinematic experience like this one doesn't come by too often.  I still have this satisfied feeling in my stomach, the one that you get after finishing a remarkable movie. It was, without a doubt one of Disney’s well loved fairytale. What an experience. So thank you to the Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres. Thank you, St. Paul QC. Thank you, Sr. Nilda. Thank you, Dean Dr. Clai. Thank you, Robmag. Aaaaaand, thank you DISNEY!!!!!!

Beauty and the Beast was indeed magical. A top-notch fairy tale with its appeal evenly divided between adults and children--as well as the child in all of us.

My inner disney princess was ecstatic. LOL
