He smiled up at Eddie, running his thumb along the contours of his jaw. "It's too quiet in there without you singing in my kitchen. And I couldn't sleep without the promise that I was gonna see you tomorrow - so now I'm here, running over your uncle's tulips."

Eddie laughed breathily. " 'S okay, I always end up killing them somehow anyway." Eddie intertwined their hands, squeezing Steve's hand gently. "Are you asking me out on a date, Steve Harrington?"

"I-" Steve raised their joined hands and kissed the back of Eddie's palm. "-am asking you out on a date, Eddie Munson."
