a/n: hi y'all. i never thought i'd be writing for attack on titan again, but here we are lmao. i've been rewatching the series from the beginning, and this is the result of that. anyways, some are more 'x reader' than others, but i hope y'all enjoy it!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
— Eren Yeager
When you ask Eren to help you train, this boy gets so smug you can practically see his ego grow three sizes larger. You know you’re probably better off asking someone else who’s better, but you know Eren appreciates it when you go to him. He likes to show off and impress you, so you get more of a show than actual training assistance. Still, you appreciate the effort Eren puts into trying to help you out. Eren falls on his ass more than he likes to admit, making you hide your laughter behind your hand.
— Armin Arlert
Asking Armin to train with you surprises Armin more than anything. Him? You want to train with him?! He immediately rejects your offer, saying he can’t possibly help you with anything that isn’t tutoring. However, you insist upon it, assuring him that you want his help and prefer it over others. The training you guys do isn’t intense; instead, it focuses on the areas you said you needed to improve. Armin always pulls his punches, never wanting to seriously harm you. But if you insist upon it, he will come at you in full force, just not very happily. Afterward, Armin apologizes profusely for possibly hurting you, and you reassure him you’re fine. Expect a flurry of hugs from him and a part of his supper rations, but he denies knowing anything about where your extra food came from.
— Mikasa Ackerman
Mikasa isn’t keen on helping you, viewing you as something that will only slow her down from achieving her goal of being as strong as she can be to protect Eren. It takes you a few minutes to convince her that you won’t get in the way or be a burden, simply wanting to shadow her, spar with her, and pick up any techniques that make her such a good fighter for yourself. Realizing you didn’t want her to teach you, Mikasa accepts your request, warning you that she doesn’t go easy or pull her punches. It’s safe to say that you hurt all over come supper time, wincing from the hard wooden benches in the mess hall.
— Jean Kirstein
Similar to Eren, Jean is cocky as hell when you come to him for training help. He doesn’t stop until you threaten to ask Eren instead, which makes him shut up and behave. Jean’s a decent spar partner, so you’re in good hands with him. You’re decently matched against him, winning about half of the rounds and losing the other half by only a second or two. He’s better at the knife-disarming move than you are, though, which he teases you for.
— Marco Bodt
Marco is flattered that you picked him out of everyone else. Being the definition of an average fighter, Marco didn’t think there was anything he could help you with, but he’s ecstatic to spar with you regardless. After all, it’s time Marco gets to spend with you. And if you think he’ll go easy on you because you’re his partner, you’re sorely mistaken. Marco loves you and wants you to be as prepared for the world as possible, seeing no benefit in pulling punches. But that’s not to say he’ll beat you up, obviously. After all, this is only an exercise, so you’re relatively unharmed, ignoring the scattered bruising.
— Connie Springer
Connie is more than eager to train with you, joking around and laughing the entire time. He knows he should take it more seriously, but Connie can’t help having fun with you instead, completely ignoring the current exercise. He’ll hide behind you and tap your shoulder, waiting for you to turn around before ducking just out of your view. When you finally catch him, you’re dizzy and out of breath from laughing so hard. Your efforts are rewarded with a peppering of kisses all over your face <3
— Sasha Braus
Like Connie, Sasha is just as obnoxious during training but takes it a bit more seriously than he does. If you are serious about training, she’ll do her best to take it seriously with you. She’s not immune to Connie making faces at her from across the field, and frankly—you aren’t either. Typically, if you’re sparing with Sasha, you’ll end up with Connie, too.
— Reiner Braun
Training with Reiner is like training with your long-lost twin. You read one other perfectly, evading and blocking each other’s swings like it’s nothing. You duck underneath his outstretched arm to kick him in the back of his knee, but Reiner is two steps ahead, spinning on his heel to knock your feet out from under you. He expects you to yield, but you don’t give up that easily. Sneaking between his spread legs to pop up from behind, it was your turn to knock him unsteady, twisting his arm behind his back and disarming him of the prop knife he wielded. It goes on like that until the quittin’ bell rings, except the roles reversed themselves every few rounds.
— Bertolt Hoover
Bertolt is still such a sweetheart, even when he’s trying to pin you to the ground. He wants to win, but that doesn’t make his timidness disappear. You win more often than not, but you let him get the better of you sometimes. Watching a blush spread across his face and neck is worth letting him win. His blush worsens when you point it out, too. Still, he likes sparing with you, regardless of how well he does or not.
— Annie Leonheart
Training with Annie is very similar to training with Mikasa. It’s not that Annie believes you’ll hinder her progress; it’s because she’s simply not good with people. Annie knows you can hold your own against tough opponents; she’s seen you go against people like Reiner and Eren and win. The best way to put it is that she feels awkward, not knowing how to help you or what she should say. You’re the only one able to render Annie speechless, a talent that immediately raises you above the rest in her eyes.
— Porco Galliard
If you want to spar with Porco, you better be prepared to have your ass beat into next week. He’s out to prove he’s the best, and not even you can get in his way. He’s stubborn and afflicted with tunnel vision, blinding him from remembering how talented you are at it, too. Porco’s favorite move is pinning you on your stomach, twisting your wrist until you forfeit your prop weapon of choice. He’s stupidly cocky about it, too, straddling your hips and spouting snark while your face is shoved in the dirt. You may be talented at that day’s exercise, but somehow, Porco always has the upper hand, no doubt due to his Shifter abilities giving him heightened agility and reflexes. He’s always stupidly proud of himself afterward, bragging to his friends about how many times he’d pinned you. It earns him a sharp flick on his forehead from you.
— Levi Ackerman
You must be a glutton for punishment if you seek out Levi as a sparing partner. His version of training isn’t just sparring, oh no, no. First, he has you running laps around the courtyard for at least thirty minutes. And if he catches you jogging, he adds another ten minutes. You wanted the best, so you’ll have to endure everything he throws at you to get it. Next is calisthenics. Push-ups, thirty-second planks, burpees, sit-ups, dips, and wall sits are the bane of your existence for the next hour and a half. By now, your entire body aches, and your legs are shaky and exhausted. Levi gives you a break, allowing you to drink nearly your weight in water and grab a quick snack before his torture resumes. He gives you enough time to ensure you don’t vomit, but finally, it’s time for sparring once you’ve finished your snack break. Once he deems training to be done for the day, you ask him why he put you through such an intense workout just to spar. Levi’s reasoning? If your body was tired, you’d fight better. If you’re exhausted, you’ll seek out more ways to end the fight quicker and discover new techniques as you go. If you get frustrated enough after losing to him so many times, combined with your body’s exhaustion, you’d eventually find a hole in Levi’s attack and utilize it.
— Erwin Smith
Training with Erwin isn’t much different than training on your own. He acts professionally throughout the exercise, seeing it as nothing to take lightly. Erwin doesn’t go easy on you, but he does pull his punches, not eager to send you to the infirmary just because of sparring practice.
— Mike Zacharias
Believe it or not, Mike is like a combination of Levi and Connie. Training with him will last hours, but he’s having fun with you while he does it. Mike is quick on his feet, darting this way and that, always out of reach. It’s almost like a dance you’re engaged in. Every time you miss, he’ll pop a teasing joke as if he’s goading you into catching him. When you think you’ve cornered him, Mike’ll knock your legs out from underneath you, claiming the win for himself. He’ll help you back up and reset the round, giving the prop weapon to you this time.

Hello again! 😆💗,
Thank you very much for fulfilling my request!😩. I did not expect you to fulfill it so quickly, and this made me very happy. It was funny and CUTE 💗.
Well, I have a lot of ideas, but Idk how to write them but I think it will not be as fun when I read it from someone else’s writing. 🫳🏻
It is the same idea. Fem!TitanReader X Levi, The events take place when Annie kidnapped Eren, and the reader chases her in her titan form, but Annie was able to escape after leaving the reader with dangerous injuries, and she was left alone because there wasn’t enough time to treat her until the mission was over, and Captain Levi didn’t find her among the soldiers or treatment tents, so he decided to go back to look for her, and when he found her, she was still in her titan form. She fainted and half of her limbs were still trying to regenerate.
💗(Thank you for fulfilling my first request. If you have some time, I hope you will fulfill the second request, so I can be silent in peace. Lol)
Shifting Scares
═════════════════════
During the 57th expedition beyond the walls, everyone was on edge. While Commander Erwin hadn’t specified all the details for their plan, a select few knew the danger this put young Eren Jeager in.
In order to use him as bait to draw out the ‘abnormal’ titan hiding amongst their ranks, they’d need all the protection they could get. So naturally, they’d tasked you; their secondary titan shifter, to stick close to the young boy.
As plans shift and fail, you’re left with no choice but to take on the threat single handedly until help could arrive. But no one knew the danger this would place you in, until it was nearly too late.
══════════════════════
Pairing: Levi x Titan shifter! Reader
Warnings: Descriptions of injuries, language, fluff, s2

══════════════════════
A/N: Awe ofc lovely! I’m so glad you enjoyed the first one, and I hope I did part 2 justice!
Sorry for such a long wait. Work got in the way and I had some personal issues that really took me for a turn, but here I am!
Enjoy ~
══════════════════════
Part 1/ish
“Eld, you’re taking the lead from here. Tether the horses and get Eren out of here until I give the signal.”
The second in command gave a brisk nod in return, then turned his attention back to the front.
Just behind him, you gripped the reins holding you to your horse tighter and grit your teeth. It had been a close call, for the past several minuets. Really, it had felt like hours; galloping at top speeds to escape the grasp of the titan behind you all. You’d lost count of just how many times you’d felt her ginormous calloused fingers brushing your back through your cloak.
You’d understood why you had been placed at the rear or the Special Operations Squad. You knew it was to cover the flank and provide even more security for the young boy in front of you. But damnit if you hadn’t been scared shitless the whole time despite your agreement.
Chancing a glance back towards the front, you caught your Captain’s eye. He stared seemingly into your soul from the front of the small formation, as thought he was looking past your gaze and into your very mind. After assessing you a moment longer, he gave you a small nod. One you had a hard time returning.
“L/N, you know the drill. Watch their six. Should anything happen, you’re to act as defense.”
“‘Course, Captain,” You mumbled, trying to shoot him a smile. Though it looked more panicked than reassuring in his eyes.
Looking you over one last time with a flash of what you could have sworn was concern, he turned back to the front and crouched up onto the back of his mare and gripped the handles of his odm gear and shot off up into the forrest surrounding your path. A moment of silence accompanied his departure, and you couldn’t help but worry for his safety above your own as he returned to the Commander’s side.
Humanity’s strongest or not, the lot of you had never gone toe to toe with another shifter.
The silence followed you all up until you came to stop near a large oak, where you dismounted your own mare at Eld’s call and prepared to tether her to the tree.
“Don’t worry sweety, you’re well out of danger here,” you murmured to your loyal steed, petting across her forelock gently before shooting up into the trees with the rest of your squad.
Grappling onto the first of many branches that would bring you nearest the top of the large tree, you glanced over at Eren with a smirk as you pressed down on the lever of your gas containers; a wordless competition for a race.
Sensing your mischief, Eren rolled his eyes. But he couldn’t quite hide the interest he took in your silent challenge.
Racing through the thick limbs, you couldn’t help but chuckle to yourself despite the dread this mission had placed the entirety of the Corps in. But a little fun far away from the danger might help ease the boy’s mind, right?
And maybe yours, too.
The two of you touched down nearly in synch, catching your breath as you playfully shoved at one another’s shoulders with mumbles of disagreements for who’d won.
Hearing someone clear their throat, you both stopped and stared ahead with wide eyes. The rest of the SOS had made it up to the top before the both of you, much to your disgruntlement.
“Oi, you shifters…or whatever they’re calling you now; you’re more trouble than you’re worth,” Oulo grumbled out, folding his arms loosely across his chest.
Shrugging your shoulders with a careless smile, you strode past him and jumped over to an adjacent branch and took a seat with your back propped against the trunk.
“Just lessening the tension,” you sighed, closing your eyes a moment.
“Lessening the tension, my ass. You act as childish as Jeager.”
“Hey!” Eren scrunched up his face and jutted his chin, squaring his shoulders as though ready for a fight.
“Oulo that’s enough!” Petra cried, shooting her companion a glare. “Captain Levi said that Commander said this was of utmost importance, so you’d better act like it!”
“Of course it’s of most importance dear Petra, I just don’t see why Captain placed me here among you children instead of taking me with him for assistance.” Oulo clicked his tongue in annoyance, his posture aloft and dismissive.
“Assistance in what? Impersonations?” Gunther scoffed from his place leaned against one of the thick tree trunks with a humored grin.
“Wh-I do not…”
“You do, Oulo.”
You smirked to yourself on the opposite branch. Their banter never failed to boost your moral. Especially now with so much clouding your mind.
You listened in as Eren jumped into the banter, and observed how the conversation took a more somber mood a moment later. With a grunt you stood and brushed yourself off, waltzing your way closer to your companions.
“Eld’s right, we’re in some weird shit right now. But don’t you worry Eren, we’ve got this under control,” you comforted the younger man with a grin.
He returned your smile, seemingly more at ease now with the reassurance of his friends. His shoulders were less tense now, and his hands finally fell from their fists.
With a frown you lowered your gaze to your boots. You understood his rage towards the beast. A devil, really. Another shifter in Paradis; only, this one was bloodthirsty and dangerous.
Hearing all those strangled cries behind you on the trail, accompanied by sickening crunches from bones snapping into pieces and tearing through flesh…It sickened you, made you see red as your hands shook. You’d had to restrain yourself as much as Eren from breaking formation then and there to take her out.
So many lives lost…So many you had to repay…
A sharp crack off in the distance startled you from your thoughts.
Turning to face the direction your comrades all stared off at, you saw a plume of black smoke shoot up over the tree line.
“A flair signal,” Eren gasped.
“That’s our cue. It’s gotta be Captain’s signal to regroup. We’ll head that way immediately,” Eld addressed you all, finally a small smile tugging at his thin lips.
“This’ll all be over soon. Gunther, watch the rear with Y/N. Petra, Oulo, stay at Eren’s sides. I’ll take the lead.”
“Sir yes sir!” You chirped, already clipping your handles to your blades. Taking a stand beside Gunther, you shot him a grin as you watch the others shoot off into the forrest ahead of you.
“No crazy stunts, L/N. Not till we’re back in HQ.” Gunther chuckled, loosening up more now as he shot off ahead of you.
Rolling your eyes, you leapt from the tree to catch up. “Yeah yeah. You keep Oulo and Petra under control, I’ll keep Eren and myself sane.”
As the forest flew past you in a blur, and your friends in front of you continued to banter back and forth through the air, you allowed yourself a deep breath of relief.
So far, everything had gone to plan…
════════════════════════════════════════
“Levi, restock on your gas and blades then regroup with your squad. We must get Eren out of here as soon as possible.”
Scoffing under his breath, Levi watched as the carnage below nearly drowned out his Commander’s order. As the titans ravaged the unknown shifter’s steaming corpse only meters below him, the Captain ran a hand down his face in frustration.
“My tanks are full, and my blades were replenished earlier. I’ll be fine,” He countered, shooting a raised brown over at the tall blonde.
Erwin didn’t budge, his sharp gaze fixated on the scene below. “That’s an order, Levi. Restock, then regroup,”
Assessing Erwin only a second longer, Levi clicking his tongue in annoyance.
“Fine, I’ll do it.”
With that he shot down to the ground some ways away from the titans and quickly topped off his gas containers and placed new blades into the metal scabbards at his sides, before loading up a flair gun and taking off the way he’d come.
No matter how fast he flew through the trees scanning for any clues as to where his squad had gone, he couldn’t escape the rush of worries running through his mind.
If she escaped, she could be ahead of me…with them. If she didn’t, then we threw lives away for nothing yet again.
If she did manage to escape, and I don’t reach my squad in time…
Levi shook his head and grit his teeth, pressing down harder on the gas trigger.
No, I will reach them in time. I haven’t given the signal yet, so they haven’t moved from the trees. They shouldn’t have…They haven’t. They’re still there. She still there-
Levi’s train of thought was quickly interrupted as a shape came into view amongst the trees. A deafening crack bounced off the trees around him, with a light akin to lightning illuminating his surrounding more then they already were. A shift had occurred, no doubt, but from who, he had no way of knowing.
Through the yellow hue, Levi came to a brief stop near the object and sucked in a breath.
Twisted in his own wires, the lifeless gaze of Gunther’s eyes stared back at his face.
With newfound urgency, Levi was once again shooting through the trees.
I ‘was’ too late. She ‘did’ get ahead of me…
A second crack lit up the forrest, making Levi’s hands grip his handles all the more tightly as he listened to the undeniable scream of Eren’s rage resonating through forrest. Damnit, where were they…
Grunted curses flew from his lips nearly as fast as he shot through the trees, desperately scanning both the tree tops and the floor below for any sign of movement. Or dare he think, any sign of what might remain.
A scream he knew all too well filled his ears as he entered a clearing in the wood, knocking him from his line of focus. Whipping his gaze this way and that, he was unable to see where she might have gone. Instead, all he saw were the broken remains of his squad lying about in heaps across the trampled ground.
Goddamnit Y/N…Not you too…
════════════════════════════════════════
What felt like days might have only been hours. Or even just minuets. Every second that passed you by only reminded you of the pain that coursed through every limb.
And still I failed…
Of course the flair signal had been a trap. You should have seen that coming. As Gunther fell victim before your very eyes, and the figure weaving in and out of sight to your left finally took form in the shape of the dreaded shifter, you’d lost yourself to panic a second longer than you should have.
As you were corned in the clearing, it took Eld’s spine snapping into two for you to shake yourself out of your panic. You’d failed to act as defense before now, but you’d be damned if you let this devil claim you all.
You shifted quickly, screaming at Eren to run. Your transformation distracted the female titan just long enough for Oulo and Petra to blind and immobilize her.
But not long enough for them to completely escape.
You’d charged her with a shriek, determined to avenge your fallen squad. Blow after blow you delivered and received, but never once did you waver.
Even when her stronger jaw bit clean through your arm, severing the limb halfway up the humorous. Even when your legs were clawed from your hips and your face torn nearly in half.
Even then, you didn’t stop. You couldn’t stop.
Briefly you registered Eren charging in behind you as you clung to the female titan, ripping through the skin of his hand to kickstart his own transformation. You could do nothing but watch as he tackled her, and in turn you. With your broken body flung to the side, you were unable to dodge the next blow thrown your way. The hardened skin of the titan’s heel came crashing down only a foot away from your nape, making your world go completely black.
Now, unable to claw your way out of your titan, you were left steaming in the woods. Unable to move, unable to call for help.
Whether Eren had defeated her, you feared you’d never know. Regardless of the outcome, you started to think that maybe this fate that had befallen you was well deserved.
What good was a shifter like you when you couldn’t even complete an order?
The sound of wire cables anchoring into the trees somewhere around you caught your attention. Though you couldn’t see through titan’s eyes, you could still hear. Straining to listen, you heard the zipping of cables cease, only to be replaced by rushed footsteps and a panicked call.
Another moment of silence followed, in which you were only slightly aware of a presence standing on your titan’s back. Blinding light filled your senses, and you felt your body being forcefully removed from the wreckage.
Finally able to see, you turned your head with a grunt to see just who had pulled you out.
Forehead damp with sweat and evaporating titan blood, hands shaking as they held you up into a seated position with a pained grunt. You squinted your eyes and furrowed your brow.
“L-levi?”
“You don’t have the energy to talk, brat. You’re not healing as fast as you normally do.” Levi grumbled, observing your steaming body.
A raspy chuckle escaped your chapped lips despite yourself. “Probably cause I got stepped on. Should have seen what I did to her though.”
“I did. She escaped.” He replied bluntly, picking you up with ease as he stood.
Letting your head fall against his shoulder, you let out a shaky sigh. “I’m sorry. I didn’t act fast enough. If I had…t-the squad…she wouldn’t have gotten away-“
“I said you don’t have the energy to talk brat. Focus on healing yourself while I rush us back to the front. They’ve started to depart, and I’ll be damned if we’re left stranded out here alone.”
Humming half heartedly in agreement, you closed your eyes as you felt him shoot back up into the trees. For a minute, you did try to focus on healing. But at the moment, that felt impossible.
No, undeserving.
“I’m sorry…I couldn’t save them.”
“It’s not your fault, Y/N.” The soft tone of his voice surprised you, making you peer up at him.
“You did what you could. And it’s more than any of us could have done. Both you and Eren will be returned to base soon enough. I’m just glad you survived.”
“But the others…Gunther, Eld, Petra, Oulo…”
You felt him physically shudder at their names being spoken. Undoubtedly, you knew he had seen what you had. Shying away from his gaze, you kept your eyes on your steaming skin.
“I’m sorry.”
“No, I’m sorry,” he sighed, coming to a stop by grappling into the nearest tree and kneeling against the bark with a pained huff. “I wasn’t there in time. Not only did the bitch get away, but it left you injured in the process. I never wished for you to end up in this state.”
You examined his face, what of it you could see as he turned away. The pain etched into every mark lining his furrowed brow only made you feel worse.
“I won’t end up like this again, and that’s a promise. I’ll get stronger, I’ll be better,” you whispered, gently tugging at his chin to make him meet your eye.
“It won’t be like this next time. I’ll train more, prepare more…so that I can save more.”
Finally, his frown let up and his brow relaxed. Cradling you more firmly against him, he caged you in his arms and shot his wires into the next tree. To your surprise, he looked down to meet your eye before taking off again; this time, with a hint of a smile.
“Well unless this training idea of yours involves setting me up in another damned tree without my gear, I’ll be there with you. Every step of the way.”

Little Things They Do... (Pt. 2)
Little things they do to show you they love you
Read the other parts: Part 1 // Part 3
Featuring: Hange Zoe, Erwin Smith, Levi Ackerman, Onyankopon, Yelena, Nicolo
Warning: Modern setting, gn!Hange
Word Count: 650
Author Note
Hi, this is another version of "Little Things They Do"! I've linked the first part above for you to read. Here is the song I listened to while writing this. These actions can be perceived platonically or romantically, whatever suits you. Let me know if you want me to write for other characters as well!
Tumblr media
Hange
Not everyone can appreciate Hange the way they are, so enthusiastic in certain subjects to the point where they can explain stuff that can't be found in Wikipedia. Having you around them, someone who appreciates them and supports them in whatever they do, is something that Hange never takes for granted. Whenever you both are having a conversation, Hange likes to drop a few 'fun facts' or trivial knowledges they've attained in their free time. They make it sound amusing as well, like that one line from a Philomena Cunk episode "The Egyptians believed that the most important thing you could do in your life was die."
Erwin
Erwin most likely pays close attention to small details such as how your necktie is crooked, or a tiny splatter of ketchup in your cheek after you ate your food. He will fix it for you every time. Expect him to stop you from rushing somewhere when you're already late, just for him to fix your hair a little bit. Also the constant reminder for you to tie your shoes because somehow they're always undone. He's just afraid that you'll trip over your own feet. It's not like you're that clumsy and untidy, he just cares about you a lot.
Levi
Levi is the cleanest and tidiest person you've ever met in your entire life, but he just lets you do things that usually irks him out. Whenever you come over to his place, he'll let you leave your dirty plate or cup in the sink. He'll wash it for you. He let you touch his TV remote even though your fingers are greasy from your snack. He'll wipe it later. He let you work/do your assignments in his living room, your papers and miscellaneous stuff scattered around the place. He'll help you pick them up later. It's his way to repay your kindness because amongst his closest circle, you deal with his sad and gloomy side the most.
Onyankopon
Onyankopon will happily help you take aesthetic pictures for your social media, anytime, anywhere, even if it's really crowded. He'll go crouching down, tilting his body, all out to get the best pictures. He knows how to change the setting, the ISO and all, of both digital cameras and smartphones. He will tell you where to stand and which way to face, working with the light to complement your figure. He takes it seriously. It's rare to find someone who is willing to take pictures for you, let alone one who is really good at it.
Yelena
Most of the time Yelena is calm and composed, which is why she kind of insisted in speaking on your behalf. No matter if you both are in a restaurant, in a bar, or at the dentist, she will speak for you. She just noticed a long time ago how you often have a hard time explaining things, something that is really easy for her to do. At first she said it's because you take too long when ordering food, or your voice was shaking as you talk to strangers it bothers her. However, as the time goes by, you realize it's her way to take care of you. You don't have to worry when you're out with Yelena, she will handle everything.
Nicolo
You and Nicolo eat together, like, almost in every chance you both get. Be it a fancy dinner, or snacking together while watching a movie at home, you both love to share your food. For some reason, whenever you have to open a packaging, Nicolo will grab it and open it for you. Once he teared the packaging open, he'll give it back to you. Nicolo is also a big "do you wanna try my food" guy. He will cut half of his steak and move it to your plate. He will break a KitKat in two and share a half of it with you.
Tumblr media
I've never written anything about Onyankopon, Yelena, and Nicolo but apparently it was fun. I think I have a crush on Yelena now idk. I hope you like it as well! Lemme know what you think :3

Fighting Words
After recently finishing Attack on Titan, I’ve finally completed my first fanfic for the fandom! Of course I had to start with my favorite character, Levi Ackerman. It might not be the best, but it was still fun to write. As always gif and characters are not mine, and I hope you all enjoy!
Summary: Y/N L/N, a newer member of the cadets, believes that they can take Levi Ackerman in a fight. Having despised them for so long, Levi finally decides to take them up on their challenge
Warnings: Mentions of sparring, one curse word, suggestive positions, otherwise none. If I miss something, please let me know!
Tumblr media
Y/N sat in the mess hall of the Scout Regiment’s barracks, savoring the vegetable stew that the cooks served from the kitchen. The new recruits would be coming in today for training, and Erwin gave Y/N the task of watching over their progress. They weren’t thrilled about the job, but with the rise in titan attacks, the Scouts would need to boost their numbers. Sasha, Jean, and Connie joined Y/N after grabbing their own lunches. Jean joyfully hit Y/N’s shoulder with his free hand.
“Promise me you won’t go too hard on the new recruits today? After seeing you during our training, I’m not sure they’ll make it out alive to kill any titans.” Jean and Connie laughed as Y/N also began to smile. No one could beat Y/N in a fight during training, not even Annie or Reiner, and their combat abilities earned them praise from members of the higher command.
All except Captain Levi.
Y/N never understood why Levi hated them more than the others, but their own animosity towards the Captain grew as time went on. Even now as Levi leaned against the entryway to the mess hall, he glared daggers at Y/N. “Oh please, Jean, why beat up the cadets when there are more challenging opponents to face,” Y/N said with a shrug.
“You're seriously not thinking about challenging Levi again, are you?” Sasha asked through a mouthful of bread.
“Perhaps, but I believe the only reason why he hasn’t accepted my offer is the fact that he knows he’ll lose. I beat Erwin no sweat, and Hange too might I add, so fighting Levi would be a breeze.”
“What did you say, brat?”
All of them froze as Y/N looked over their shoulder and saw Levi standing behind them with his arms crossed. His storm colored eyes showed no emotion as he stepped forward and let his arms drop to his sides. “Do you mind repeating what you said? In fact-” Levi's voice raised to a dominating pitch as he addressed the whole mess hall, instantly gaining everyone’s attention. “Maybe you should tell your fellow comrades your idiotic statement!”
Y/N growled as they launched up from the wooden table. Y/N clenched their fists as they shouted at the captain. “I said that you are too much of a coward to accept my challenge for a sparring match because you know deep down that you’ll lose! Then everyone would see that the great Captain Levi is nothing but a whimpering pup!”
The room fell into an eerie silence apart from a few stray gasps. Levi’s facial expressions remained the same, but his eyes burned with rage and something else that Y/N couldn’t figure out. “Oh no, Y/N is in big trouble, now,” Armin whispered to Eren and Mikasa, who were sitting at the table catty corner to the one Y/N sat at before. Levi calmly moved the last few steps towards Y/N. He reached up, grabbing their jaw between his thumb and other fingers. His firm grip kept them from moving their head. Y/N could feel Levi’s warm breath as he leaned down towards their ear. “The only reason why I’m accepting your challenge now is to put you in your place, Private L/N. These weaklings might not be able to knock some sense into you, but I will break you in a heartbeat.”
Levi quickly pulled back with a scoff before exiting the mess hall, but as he turned away from them, Y/N swore that his cheeks were more red than usual. They thought that their comment must have hit a nerve, one that caused Levi to flush in his attempt to keep his frustration from being shown.
The afternoon sun beat down on the new cadets as they fought in pairs with their practice rifles, and Y/N could feel their own sweat dripping down their forehead and back. The second that the training sessions were done for the day, Y/N planned to lay in their cool room and sleep as long as they could. Not to mention seclusion would provide an escape from Levi’s inevitable pettiness. As if he heard their thoughts, Levi nonchalantly approached Y/N and tossed a wooden practice gun onto the ground in front of them.
“Well, you want to fight me, L/N, then pick up the damn gun.” Levi asserted. Y/N wondered how Levi managed to remain unbothered by the heat, as if his cool yet aggressive attitude manifested across his entire body. As for Y/N, they refused to bow down to Levi a second more. If it took fighting the world’s strongest soldier to prove themselves to him and the rest of the Scouts, then so be it. Y/N grabbed the practice gun, the chipped wood planting a few splinters into their palms. They stood in a fighting stance as they glared at the dark haired captain. “Bring it, Ackerman.”
Levi scowled as he dashed towards Y/N, raising his own practice gun above his head and bringing it down with great force. Y/N blocked the shot with their own weapon, but Levi did not let up after the first blow. The sound of wood colliding echoed through the training yard as Levi swung repeatedly at Y/N, refusing to let this low ranking scout make a fool out of him. Despite the brutal assault, Y/N kept their guard up, and they managed to lay a few offensive blows against their opponent. However, Y/N took one step too far to the right, and Levi seized the chance to swiftly kick Y/N’s legs out from under them.
Y/N felt the wind leave their lungs as their body came into contact with the hard, dry dirt below them. Levi straddled Y/N’s body as he maneuvered to a position where he could press the practice gun against their throat. Y/N’s gun prevented him from ending the fight. Levi had to admit that Y/N showed great stamina for a recent graduate, and from this angle he noticed the determination that pooled in their E/C eyes. The sight made his heart beat faster, but Levi blamed it on the adrenaline powering his fighting instincts.
“Just give up now, brat,” Levi snarled, his face inches from Y/N’s. “For weeks I have put up with your bragging, and yet you have nothing to show for it. You’re pathetic.”
“Pathetic? Give me a break! I have fought through hell to become the fighter I am, and I refuse to tolerate insults from an egotistical jerk like you!” Y/N shifted their pinned body to the side, causing Levi to fall forward slightly, giving them just enough time to raise their legs to their chest and shove both feet into Levi’s stomach. He fell over with a groan, and Y/N batted Levi’s practice gun away from him while the pain in his gut worked as a distraction. Y/N used one hand to snatch Levi’s wrists and pin them above his head while the other hand rammed the practice gun against the skin of Levi’s throat. Clearly, the victory belonged to Y/N, but upon realizing the position they were in, they clamored to their feet. Y/N offered a hand to Levi, but he swatted their hand away as he rose from the ground.
“Tch, that last move was a cheap one, Y/N. Hope you feel satisfied with a win based on pure luck.” Levi marched away as relaxed as he had been before the sparring took place. The new cadets crowded around Y/N and showered them with praise, but they took Levi’s blunt statement to heart.
After the sun disappeared below the horizon and filled the sky with a dark abyss flowing with a chilly breeze, Y/N made their way to Levi’s office. They concluded that he would still be working on paperwork, and the lantern beaming through the window informed Y/N that they were correct. Y/N entered the building reserved only for the captains and knocked on Levi’s door.
“Come in, the door’s unlocked.” Levi stated, his stern vocals carrying through the door. Y/N stepped into the room, and Levi only glanced at them before returning his focus to the endless amount of paperwork still piled on his desk. His grip on his pen tightened as his silver eyes conveyed blank emptiness.
Y/N stopped in front of the desk and saluted Levi. “Captain, I apologize for coming at such a late hour-”
“Stop it. I don’t have time to listen to your half ass excuse for an apology. Leave and go back to the barracks. That’s an order.” Levi clenched his jaw as he scribbled his signature at the bottom of the paper. He moved that one to the side and read through the next paper in the stack. No one, not since Erwin, ever came close to beating Levi in a fight, but Y/N fought him with such grace. He hoped that sitting down to finish paperwork would distract his mind for a while, but Y/N never left his thoughts. He hated their guts, or did he just hate the idea that he didn’t have the guts to talk with them one on one before now?
“What you said to me after the fight today is the truth. I may have won, but it doesn’t feel like a victory to me, so I won’t waste anymore of your time.” Y/N’s confession made Levi raise his head, his eyes softened slightly as he watched them turn back towards the door. Part of him wanted to let Y/N leave, and maybe then the feelings that clouded his judgment any time they were around would disappear too, but his heart won against his logic. Levi rounded his desk and grabbed Y/N’s wrist, his touch lighter than the blows he threw at them earlier.
“I admit, I said that out of anger. You truly are an incredible fighter Y/N, but there are still some things that even you could improve on. Meet me in the lieutenant courtyard at four tomorrow, and I will personally train you myself.” The excited smile that spread across Y/N’s face made Levi’s heart swell with joy.
“Wow, are you sure you don’t have a concussion, Captain Levi? You just offered to train the person that you’ve hated for months now.” Y/N giggled as they raised their arm to jokingly punch Levi, but he caught their fist in his own calloused hand. It was Levi’s turn to smile, something that Y/N never thought they would see.
“I did hate you, but not because of your fighting skills. The truth is, you are the only person who makes me feel vulnerable.”
“Wow, wait till Erwin hears that Levi himself said that I am his sole weakness! I bet Hange will get a kick out of-”
Levi silenced Y/N’s rambling by pressing his lips quickly to theirs. The kiss startled Y/N, but they soon relaxed as Levi placed a hand on their waist and pulled them in closer. When Levi pulled away, his facial expressions turned back to annoyance, but this time his eyes were not angry. They were filled with admiration and amusement.
“You best keep that kiss between us, brat, or you’ll be running more laps than you can count.”

playing excited & exhausted with them
ft: levi, erwin, bertholdt, jean, connie, annie, sasha, mikasa, eren
a/n: excited & exhausted is card game made for couples to play when they’re drinking. it is an explicit card game so this post is 18+. NSFW MDNI ! however, this does not go into details. it’s very light on the smut side, if you can even call it that. i’m not 100% comfortable writing full smut yet soo :) this request is for/from @ricebowl768 - also, this is not proofread :)
levi ackerman
it’s a pain to play this game with levi. he insists on doing all of the tasks on the card, resulting in you being the only drunk one. he says, “what’s the point of playing if i don’t do any of these?”
you tell him, it’s supposed to be fun and he doesn’t have to do any of the dares that he doesn’t want to. charmingly, he responds, “well, you’re my girlfriend. i want to do these things.”
erwin smith
he’s curious when you present him the deck. he didn’t think you’d be interested in something so explicit. honestly, he’s quiet shy about most of the cards. he gets a nice buzz going pretty fast, giving him the courage to do all these things.
the night ends up quite wholesome as you two share bursts of drunken giggles. you two wind up sweetly entangled in bed.
bertholdt hoover
you have to convince bert to play this game, given he’s on the shyer side. you both take two shots before playing just to ease any anxiety. the first card he draws reads, “drink if you want to have sex after this game.” his eyes widen and he downs another shot. he tries to hard the cards from you but you are dying to know, so you lunge across towards him and wrestle him for the card.
you laugh at his embarrassment when you read it outloud. you reassure him he doesn’t have anything to feel embarassed about by kissing him all over his red cheeks.
jean kirstein
jean thinks you’re the best girlfriend ever for buying this card game. he mainly teases you about drinking whenever you don’t want to do the action on the card. he calls you a few names just to rile you up. tired of his shit, you start doing everything on the cards just to prove a point. no matter how provocative or exposing they are, you do them. he both hates and loves you for this but he can’t wait for the game to be over.
connie springer
he’s enthusiastic about playing this game, he actually was the one who had picked it up at the store while you weren’t paying attention. he reveals it by slamming it down on the table and insists you two play. you both end up sloppy drunk for some reason despite doing everything on the card. honestly, it was just a good excuse to get sloppy drunk and be horny for each other.
annie leonhardt
she’s sort of…rough when you bring up the idea. annie’s a pretty shy, reserved person so when you present her with the game, she gives you a shrug. no wanting to press her boundaries, you forget about it.
she brings it up later on, on a random afternoon. she wants to deepen her bond with you, so she steps outside her comfort zone. she blushed at nearly every single card, choosing to consume a bunch of liquor.
she manages to hold herself together well, until she gives into her desires and chooses to do the sexual tasks on the cards. this side of her is refreshing. you keep telling her she doesn’t have to do anything, but she insists the liquor has given her courage to do these things she’s wanted to do all along.
sasha braus
sasha giggles at every single card! she barely takes anything seriously, especially when she’s drinking. she doesn’t quite understand the circumstances of the game until you draw all the promiscuous cards. she tries to keep a cool about tasks such as kicking her thighs. but since you know her so well, her gasps of surprise are considered more gasps of arousal. overall, she winds up enjoying the game.
mikasa ackerman
mikasa looks to please you, and only you as their partner. of course, this urge doesn’t dismiss her shyness. she starts off the game with a high confidence, dismissing with each card. she wants to do each, to please you but ultimately, she’s too embarassed. it winds up with her having a bunch of shots and it makes you laugh. you tell her, “baby, you don’t have to do anything, we can stop playing this game.”
she counters back, “i want to! it’s just so…vulgar? how do people do this sober?!”
it’s not that she’s a prude, but this game is impossible to play! that’s what she insists.
eren jaeger
this game was made for eren, or so he thinks. he‘ d play this game with anyone but for him, it’s a pleasure to play with you. he doesn’t shy away from any task, no matter how filthy it is. he enjoys teasing you and seeing you flustered. he wants you uncomfortable, in a consensual way of course. eren wants to take you further than you’ve ever been. both physically and mentally. he’s a menace, testing your limits until you’re begging for him!

WC: 2k
Three months. That’s how long it had been since you had seen Hange.
“I work a lot and I don't get to see you…it’s not fair for you.” They mumble. “I don’t care! I know what you do is hard, but I just want to be with you.” You grab their suit,  looking into their eye. “Hange, please.” You beg. “I love you too much to keep hurting you like this. You think I like leaving for days on end? It's just not fair to you.” They repeat.
You stood in the rain, hand over Hange's mouth, begging her to say no more. She placed a hand on your wrist, moving your hand down to her heart. “You live here.” She pulled you in for one last kiss, before leaving you at your door, covered in rain and in a puddle of your own tears.
You pull the strap of your black dress, sipping from your sparkling water. You seriously needed to not drink, you had enough the past three months. Loud footsteps approached your table. You look up, faced with your best friend. “Want one?” Erwin held up a shot. “Can’t. Trying to stay sober, remember?” You smile, pulling out a chair. Erwin took a seat, eyes trailing behind you.
“I knew this would look good on you.” Erwin tugged at the skirt of your dress. “You picked this-” You motion towards the cleavage part of the dress. “on purpose.” You roll your eyes. “Well, I had to pull you out of your comfort zone somehow.” He chuckled a bit. “Whatever.” You gulped down the rest of your sparking water.
“How’s it feel being a married man?” You cross your legs, rubbing your lips together. “Wonderful. I haven’t told Levi we are going to Paris, so I hope he likes it.” Erwin messed with his hands nervously. “Oh, I'm sure he’ll love it. All the different teas and stuff.” You smirked. “I sure hope so.” He took your hands into his.
“I know it’s hard for you tonight, but I just want to thank you for being so supportive of me.” Was all he said before walking away. Your eyebrows furrowed, confused by the sudden topic change. A body plopped in front of you, eyes wide and a very shy demeanor.
Oh.
You look down at your hands, eyes staring at your red nails. You grab your purse, fixing to stand up. “Hi.” They said. You froze in place, not knowing what to do. “Hello.” You whisper. “You look so pretty.” They smile at you, not that you could see it. “Oh, thank you.” You nod, without looking up. “Levi seems to be having fun.” They chuckle a bit, You peek up to your right, seeing Levi trying to hold back Eren and Jean from having a whole dance battle in the middle of the floor.
“Yeah.” You nod. You finally look up, meeting their face. You freeze in place again, mouth slightly open. They looked the same, but it felt different. Their hair was up in its updo, eyepatch still there. They changed their glasses frame, from a gray to a now raven black. They seemed a bit tired.
“I like your makeup,” They smile. “Thanks. Sasha did it.” You nod. “So, how have you been?” They lean back. You notice a small sun on the back of their middle finger. You don’t mention it. You tried to think about the question and how you were to answer it.
Were you going to tell them that you have been staying at Erwin’s for the past couple of months so you don’t drive yourself into a wall? Or that you’ve had to lock yourself in a room so you don’t drown yourself in your own tears and alcohol? Or that you have been running off an hour of sleep? That you can’t do anything without thinking of them?
“Good. I’ve been pretty good. And you?” You smile softly. “I’ve been pretty shitty actually. Coming home to none of your food has made me pretty miserable.” Hange laughed. It's like you almost forgot how honest they were. “Oh, yeah. You’d always get too much and regret it later.” You giggle. It was genuine.
“Yup. I’ve also had a hard time sleeping. I’ve tried those things you used to listen to on the tv…but it’s just so boring. I need some earthy nerd shit to fall asleep.” They sip their water, shaking their head. “Oh yeah, the ones with the people who travel and find all those weird animals, right?” You set your purse back on the table, leaning back into the soft material of the chair.
“Yeah, that one. Oh, and cleaning sucks. I know the basics but you always did the fancy stuff so when Levi came over he almost choked me.” Hange rubbed their neck, shivering. “You didn’t use bleach on the wooden table again, did you?” You slap your hands on the table, a smile growing on your face. “Oh god, no. I think.” You shake your head.
“How’s Tuna?” Hange leaned their head on their hand, admiring your soft features. Tuna was your shared cat, which you ended up taking because you worked less. “She’s pretty good actually. She didn’t want to get her nails clipped, she only likes when you do it.” You crossed your arms. “What can i say? Everyone likes me.” They laugh. You scrunch your face,  shaking your head.
“Not that one kid at the park.” You roll your eyes. “Oh my god! The one who threw a pebble at my head to get rid of my other eye?” Hange laughed loudly. “Yes!” You throw your head back, laughing. “That was so funny.” You place your hand on Hange’s knee. Both of you didn’t notice, considering how normal it felt.
The two of you stayed there for hours, catching up on every detail of your life. You learned that Hange had taken up a different job, and now worked from home like you did. Your chairs now sat right up against each other, your knees in between Hange’s legs. Your hands rested on their knees and you leaned forward , talking to them.
Hange just sat there, admiring your beauty. They had slowly become so engulfed into their work, you had only become a memory to them. The months you spent apart, you were suddenly all they thought of. Levi pushed them to talk to you, but they just couldn’t. They couldn’t handle seeing your face again, after how they left you,
But yet, here you two were, laughing and catching up, forgetting the rest of the world. Levi and Erwin stood in the corner, hands interlocked and quietly betting on what was going to happen next. Erwin thought you were going to come home and sob, and Levi bet that you two were going to fuck.
But none of that was on either of your minds. You two completely were engulfed into your current conversation, branching off to another and another. Your eyes met theirs, touching was no longer a problem and it was like none of the past three months ever happened.
“Ah, shit.” You look around. People were starting to clean up. You check your phone, seeing it was past twelve. “I gotta get home.” You pick up your purse. “I’m pretty sure Sasha left, fuck.” You groan. “Wanna come home with me? I don't mind.” Hange flashed you a smile. “Oh. Are you sure?” You tilt your head. “C’mon.” They grab your elbow, rolling your eyes.
The drive back was peaceful. Hange played the playlist you two made a while back. You smiled, surprised Hange still had it. You noticed they had everything you had given them. The pins on the roof, stickers from camping places on the dashboard, the cat air freshener on their rearview mirror. It made you feel better knowing you also kept their stuff.
You kicked off your shoes, shivering at the cold floor. “Welcome home.” Hange held their arms open. Their apartment stayed the same. The pictures of you two still stayed up, almost like you two never separated. Your shoes sat in the shoe rack, ones you thought you had lost. “Hey, I left these here?” You laugh, pointing at them. “Oh yeah, I just got too lazy to give them back.” They lie easily. The truth was, they never wanted to get rid of them. Or anything that was yours.
You follow Hange to their room, standing by the doorway. Their room was a mess, as always. When you used to be over almost all the time, it was cleaner. You noticed the right side of the bed was mostly untouched, and the pillows seemed to be fluffy and nice. Even after months, Hange never slept in your spot.
The nightstand was empty, except for the coaster and the book that you had left. “Hey, did you ever finish this one?” You ran up to it, flipping it to the page you left off.” “Haven’t touched it since…yeah.” Hange opened their closet, laying out some clothes. You used to sit in between Hange’s legs and read to them.
“Bleh, she ended up dying anyway.” You tossed the book back. “I knew it! God, she was stupid.” Hange shook her head. “Also, do you know where Erwin’s taking Levi? He’s been bugging me about that all day.” Hange opened up a drawer, taking out some socks.
“Paris.” You smile. “No fucking way.” Hange laughs. You just nod. Hange comes up to you, handing you some sweatpants and one of their shirts. They plopped the socks on top, laughing. “Since i know you like your feet warm.” You shake your head, smiling.
You two were in the bathroom. You changed while Hange brushed their teeth. “Can you unzip this?” You move your hair, tilting your head. Hange pressed a hand against your back, the other zipping the dress down. Your breath hitched, blood rushing to your face. “Thanks.” You whisper.
“Here’s your bag.” Hange handed you a toothbrush. “You still have this?” You put toothpaste on your toothbrush, running it under water. “Yeah, in case you slept over for something.” They open your toiletries bag. “Oh,  this will come in handy,” You pull out advil. “Did you drink?” They rinse their toothbrush. “No, but it’s late and I plan to wake up early.” You rinse yours out. “Ah.” Was all they said before rushing to the bed,
You crawl in beside them, forgetting everything else. It's like the past was gone, and it was like any normal night. You roll over, facing Hange. Their face was dangerously close to yours,  eye trailing down your face again. “I missed you so much, you don’t even know.” Hange whispered. “Don’t get all sappy on me now.” You look down at their lips.
“It feels so normal, being like this.” Hange placed a hand on your cheek, pushing your hair back. “Yeah.” You nod, pushing their loose hairs out of their face. “I never stopped thinking of you. You stayed right here, like I said.” They took your hand, placing it on their heart. “I thought when i saw you again you were going to slap me and tell me you hated me,”
You didn’t say anything as they loudly swallowed, pupil growing. “but you talked to me as if nothing happened. I don’t deserve you.” Hange squeezed your hand. “I didn’t slap you because it wasn’t your fault. I wasn't mad, I just wanted to love you. I always did and I still do.” You take your other hand, placing it on the side of their neck.
“As soon as I walked back in here I regretted it all. If i had spoken to you it could’ve solved everything.” They sighed. “But we are here now, aren’t we?” “We are.” They smile. “I never wanted to leave you, ever. You are my sun. My everything. Leaving you is something I never want to do again.” They lean in a bit more.
“Then don’t. We can try again.” You gave them a soft smile. Their lips met yours. You felt numb, like you couldn’t move, yet you pressed a hand against their cheek, body pushing closer against theirs. Their hand snaked around your waist, pulling you toward them.
“I’m sorry,” Hange placed their forehead on yours. “I’m sorry. You don’t have to be, for anything.” You push your nose against theirs. “I love you.” “To the edge of the universe and back.” You smile before kissing them again.

Happy March!! I'm back with a new fandom/writing specific blog and a new event to hopefully get myself back into writing. This is the first time I've ever done anything like this so I hope I can do it justice!
I missed Valentine's Day because of personal reasons as well as tumblr shadowbanning @chaotic-on-main (no longer shadowbanned now) LMAO. SO. I'm here to celebrate the opposite side of it, White Day! If you aren't familiar with White Day, it's a holiday that was thought up in Japan during the 80's. While it was mostly dated back to Japan, it's actually celebrated in many countries!
White Day is so interesting to me because it really puts a light on reciprocating the gifts that are given on Valentine's Day. While gifts aren't meant to be given as a transaction, I personally think it's sweet that someone thought the gift giver deserves a gift as well.
With that said, here's my event!
➼ What you'll get from me:
❥ A curated love letter from your one and only blorbo. ❥ A 9 panel moodboard of a date y'all went on recently. ❥ A little gift from your blorbo on paper, ofc. unfortunately I can't sprinkle all of y'all with actual gifts :( ❥ These will all be answered on March 14th!!
➼ What I need from you:
❥ Your blorbo, of course! ❥ A small idea of what your date consisted of. ❥ A few of your blorbo's favorite things about you and something you both love to do together.
➼ Rules:
❥ Please only one blorbo per user! This will keep me from being accidentally repetitive. ❥ This is open to all, followers and non-followers alike (but I will warn the less I know of you, the less accurate I'll be able to be, but I'll do my best!!) ❥ Suggestive and NSFW can be possible in the letter, it just depends on the character and if you leave me any tidbits about it! No promises tho! ❥ I have a hard deadline of March 12th so I have time to get them all done and out before the 14th (US local time)
➼ What/Who I'll write for:
❥ (all canonical minors ARE AGED UP) ❥ Leon S. Kennedy ❥ Levi Ackerman, Erwin Smith, Armin Arlert, Eren Yeager, Jean Kirstein, Connie Springer, Reiner Braun ❥ Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, Megumi Fushiguro, Toge Inumaki, Kento Nanami, Yuji Itadori ❥ (I'm unfortunately keeping these extremely limited because there's only so many characters I'm confident in writing their POV)
Thank you guys!! I'm hoping to get back into writing as much as possible. Have fun, and I'll see y'all on the 14th!!

Ghosts, witch hats, and little black cat cutouts littered nearly every corner of the office. There were pumpkins, real and decorative, in the break room, the cubicles, and even on your desk. Which you had not placed there and could only blame really one person for.
“And exactly what are you supposed to be?” Moblit asked, dressed in all white with a halo attached to a headband on his head. He looked comical dressed as an angel because even though Moblit may have looked innocent, he was anything but.
“Ghostface,” you shrugged, pushing aside some papers and leaning forward on your elbows against the edge of your desk. You were dressed in your regular work attire, if not slightly more casual than work typically permitted. It was an extremely chilly day in the city, the wind sharp enough to bite at your cheeks and nose. You made sure to layer up before you left the house this morning, and funnily enough, the day already started to warm by the time lunch rolled around.
“Where’s the mask?” He teased as he gestured to his face and then pointed at yours.
“It’s before the big reveal,” you laughed, standing when you heard some excited commotion come from outside your office. “So do me a favor and don’t expose my secret identity.”
When you walked into the break room, where you found everyone in their fun little costumes, the tables were covered in sweet Halloween treats and finger foods. Moblit was in charge of the event planning committee, accompanied by the overly excited Historia, who was standing at one of the tables with her hair braided and little flowers clipped all over.
“Rapunzel, is that you?” You asked teasingly as you walked up to her table and grabbed a mini cupcake with a cartoon ghost sticking up from the orange icing. She clapped her hands once in excitement and spun in response. Her purple dress stopped just above her knees, and the lilac complimented her skin tone in a delicate way. She looked adorable in her get up.
“The one and only,” she grinned. Her eyes took in your simple outfit of high-waisted brown slacks and your black, long-sleeve mock neck. Accompanied by some black leather boots. You could tell the question was on the tip of her tongue, but before she could ask it, Jean and Marco strolled in in matching costumes. You smiled extra hard when you spotted their outfits, and immediately recognized the orange Camp Half-Blood t-shirts. You giggled to yourself because this had Jean written all over it, and you couldn’t help but find it endearing.
Once you made eye contact with Marco, his grin turned rather mischievous as he approached you holding out a spear and shield in your direction.
“What is this for…?” You grabbed the props suspiciously as he continued to smile at you.
“I had a strong feeling you wouldn’t dress up, so I took matters into my own hands.” The realization dawned on you when he motioned to his own shirt.
“Athena,” you said, nodding as you looked between him and the props in your hands. “While I appreciate the thought, I’m too young to be your godly parent. By a millenia.”
He laughed rather loudly, chin tilting to his chest as he shook his head. “Hate to break it to you, but I’m no child of Athena.”
Photos were taken and the food provided was gone by the time you called it a day and headed home. The wind was especially chilly when you stepped outside and towards the train. Even though the time wasn’t due to change for another few days, the sun sat low in the sky, practically hidden by the tall, city buildings. Routine continued to follow you as you placed your headphones snug over your ears. They acted almost as ear muffs against the sharp breeze and you were grateful to find them charged.
The worst part of your routine was the new addition. The part where you addictively listened to Onyankopon’s song. You couldn’t really explain to yourself why you did it. It wasn’t anything remotely close to healthy. In fact, it was almost this obsessive need to torture yourself. That maybe feeling the guilt that already resided deeply against your sternum would grow so abundantly that it would just explode and kill you. Saving you in the end.
But that never seemed to happen. And you continued living life splitting yourself into two versions. This version, the one that allowed herself to feel the emotions that seemed to always be thrumming just beneath her skin. The one that anguished over lost love and was riddled with self-doubt and insecurity. This was the version you hated. Therefore you hid her behind carefully constructed smiles and well-timed jokes. Creating the other part of you. The one you longed to remain because she was charming and witty. People seemed to like her, so in times where you weren’t alone, crowded in a room of colleagues or even friends, she was who you became. You clung to her in fear, almost. Desperate to show everyone that you were okay.
That you were fine. Happy, even.
The street leading to your home was flooded with trick or treaters. Parents accompanied their small children while groups of teenagers laughed and chatted loudly on the sidewalk. As you neared the entrance to your home, you noticed Levi and Erwin were home too. A bowl of candy sat on their steps and their gate was propped open. You were tempted to stop by. Simply because you were starting to miss the consistency of your old routine. But it was harder to keep up appearances with them. Difficult to let them in completely, even though they were the ones to seemingly revive you from the fog of depression that loomed over your head for weeks before. And mostly because it felt awkward. Pretending to be someone else when they so clearly could see right through it, but were too polite to call you out on it. They often entertained your brush offs and changes in topic. All the while you could tell that their curiosity was starting to eat at them. Especially Levi. Who wasn’t the type to dance around topics or force pleasantries for fear of ruining a mood.
So you decided to just spend the evening alone. A far easier choice to be alone rather than confront what was going on inside your head outside of it. And in front of an audience. Instead deciding to keep the lights off, aside from the small yellow light above the stove, and playing Onyankopon’s song on the record player until you fell asleep on the couch like you always did.
Another new and unbreakable habit.
Tumblr media
“I just don’t understand why you won’t say yes. Who wants to spend Thanksgiving alone? Are you even gonna cook something for yourself?” Erwin whined from the doorway of your home. You told the guys a few days prior that you were heading back home for the holiday, but a sudden and surprising snow storm ended up canceling your flight. The airline offered you their next flight out, but at that point you wouldn’t land until late Thursday evening, effectively missing Thanksgiving. Which was the whole point of going back to your hometown.
“I haven’t thought that far ahead. Honestly I’ll probably just order Chinese or something. I promise it won’t be as sad as it sounds,” you argued, rifling through your junk drawer for the menu to the Chinese place a few blocks away.
“That is so un-American of you,” Erwin pouted. “Just come to my dad’s place with me and Levi. Please.”
“I will ignore your first comment because we are not opening up that can of worms tonight.” You tossed him a playful glare, remembering the drunken night at Hange’s bar where you all loudly and incoherently discussed the history behind the origins of Thanksgiving. He rolled his eyes in response.
“Anyway, I don’t want to intrude. I’m sure your dad didn’t cook enough for an extra person.”
“Clearly you don’t know my father,” he chuckled. “He probably cooked enough for 10 extra people.”
You found the menu before you could formulate a response, waving it excitedly in front of you before opening it to read the options. But as you contemplated which dish you’d want more, the menu was snatched from your hands and when you met Erwin’s gaze there was startling defiance behind them.
“You’re not eating Chinese food on Thanksgiving when there is an old man in his home cooking his little heart out.”
“Don’t try to guilt trip me,” you answered, astonished at the immature tactic he decided to use.
“I refuse to leave until you say yes.” He opened the drawer positioned in front of your hips and slid the menu back inside of it. All while maintaining determined eye contact with you. Your resolve was crumbling. You felt it as layer after layer of it fell to your feet in a dusty heap.
“Erwin,” you pleaded, crossing your arms over your chest in one final attempt to get your point across. Even though you already knew that you were leaving this house with him, albeit with halfhearted reluctance.
From the doorway you heard Levi enter. And a part of you thought that he would back you up. Oftentimes, reeling in Erwin’s rather persistent nature. But as soon as that hope flickered around in your chest, Levi said, “we let Halloween slide because I quite frankly don’t care much for it. But I’m drawing the line here. Go get dressed.”
Your mouth popped open, shock evident on your face as Levi sent you a stern glare. No room for arguments. Noted. “You’re not spending another holiday alone. I don’t care.”
You sent a look of surprise to Erwin, again expecting some sort of alliance, but he simply smirked. Knowing that they did indeed win this argument. So you walked your ass to the bedroom to change out of your loungewear and into something much more appropriate for a family dinner.
“I can’t believe you two would gang up on me like that,” you said as you slipped into the back seat of Erwin’s car, your coat secured tightly around your body to protect you from the harsh cold. Levi chuckled from the passenger seat. The car was already nice and warm since they waited for you inside of it. The heat blasting from the fans.
“I wouldn’t call what we did ganging up on you.” Erwin began to drive, the streets surprisingly sparse given what day it was. “You were persuaded into coming along with the prospect of good food and even better company.”
“We’ll have to see about that,” you argued, sticking your nose into the collar of your coat to try and defrost it. While the drive to Erwin’s father’s home was comfortable, the conversation flowing with seemingly no effort, you still held the unmistakable pit of anxiety in your chest. It was unwavering, steady, and atrociously annoying. There was no reason for it. Other than to make you as supremely uncomfortable as possible.
The consistent feeling of it was morphing into a dreaded resentment. Mostly for yourself. And the predicament you only brought upon yourself. It was repetitive. Every day was the same since it was always accompanied with the same negative feelings. You couldn’t help but hate each day. The active effort of trying to enjoy the simple things, the little things, was increasingly harder to do. And your current state of depression was beginning to worry even you. Since the amount of work you were previously throwing yourself into was diminishing rather quickly, you have had no other choice but to sit and feel and reflect. And upon reflecting, you only realized that you felt like shit and no amount of work would ever fix that.
The worst part was knowing that you had friends. Friends willing to force you from your home late on Thanksgiving day and forced you to actually spend time with them. Friends who cared. Friends who wanted you around. Even when you felt like the worst person to be around. Especially when you were alone.
But that didn’t stop Erwin or Levi from ensuring that you didn’t spend this day lonely. Ensuring that when you walked into Mr. Smith’s home you were greeted with the smell of roasted vegetables, well seasoned turkey, and warm spiked apple cider that you were questionable of until you had your first sip. The Christmas tree was already up as well, and you were about to make some well-intentioned joke about it still being November until you noticed that there was a second one in the dining room. Granted this one was fake, unlike the very real (and fragrant) fir that was decorated rather elaborately in the living room.
“So,” Mr. Smith walked up beside you as you admired the twinkling lights and sparkly ornaments. “I heard you’re a pretty good cook.”
“I dabble,” you shrugged with a light laugh. “It’s been a minute since I spent some time in the kitchen, but I wouldn’t say I’m a chef or anything.”
“Either way, I’m excited to hear your thoughts about dinner,” he said as he nudged you gently with his elbow. And when you looked into his eyes, while you saw kindness and comfort in his gaze, there was a familiar glint of knowing sadness. A pain that you recognized rather fiercely. It struck you deeply that someone you barely knew and have only interacted with once before could resonate with the gnawing feeling in your chest with just a simple look. You were intrigued, wanting to question what was wrong. But then you remembered that Erwin lost his mother when he was younger. And what you saw reflected in Mr. Smith’s eyes was the knowingness of loss.
In some capacity, you knew what that aching emptiness felt like. That transitionary period between loving someone and not being able to have them anymore. Whether it was a choice to be made or a tragic ending. Loss was like a tradition. One that anyone, human or not, partook in simply by living and breathing.
Another reminder that we had hearts to be broken and then mended with time.
“Also,” he added, “I’m happy you could make it. Erwin said it was a bit of a debate getting you over here.” He chuckled when you sighed and shook your head in disbelief.
“Remind me to never tell him a secret, since he doesn’t seem to have any filter.”
“He gets that from his mom, y’know. Looks almost nothing like her, but everyday he reminds me of her more and more.”
You both glanced over at Erwin at that moment. Him with a longing fondness and you with aching curiosity. He was attempting to goad Levi into trying one of the cookies that sat atop the island in the kitchen and failing miserably since you all knew how much Levi despised anything sweet before meals.
“Come on, it’s good,” Erwin said, offering him the half again and chuckling when Levi’s scowl deepened.
“I don’t doubt that, but we’re about to eat dinner and you're going to ruin your appetite,” Levi responded before turning away with a shake of his head.
“For someone younger than me, you sure act like an old man. So damn crotchety,” he continued teasing Levi.
“Give it here,” you held out your hand as you made your way to the kitchen. Erwin deposited the cookie onto your palm with a grin, eyes sliding towards Levi to catch his reaction when you ate the half in a single bite.
“I don’t understand either of you sometimes,” Levi grumbled. The timer for the turkey went off then, Erwin’s dad running over to the oven to take it out. The four of you began bringing over all the sides to the dining table that was already set up with dinnerware and utensils. It was a cute little set up he had. A seat on each side of the table with all the food presented in the middle. There was a deep burgundy cloth covering the table and the white plates had gold decorating the rim. Levi held out your chair and motioned for you to have a seat before taking his place next to you. Erwin and his father bickered for a moment about who should carve the turkey until Erwin took the knife and fork with a resigned sigh. Mr. Smith sat down with a pleased grin, winking your way when you caught his eye.
Dinner was pleasant. Your wine glass was never empty. Which would've been a bad thing seeing as you only really ever drank nowadays to wallow in your sadness, but with the constant chatter and laughter it was hard to feel anything other than satisfaction and ridiculously full. Full from the incredible meal, full from the very obvious love surrounding the table, and full of ever-fleeting happiness. You didn’t really want your night to end, but as the hours crept closer to midnight you felt the lull of sleep beckoning you. You were all seated in the living room, fire crackling in the firepit, lights dull besides the twinkling lights on the tree. It was the coziest you’ve felt in a long time.
In the background, Mr. Smith’s phone rang. The chatter died for a moment as he excused himself to answer it. Levi and Erwin exchanged a weird look. Levi’s of barely there curiosity while Erwin looked downright confused. But you didn’t question it, and when you glanced over at Mr. Smith you noticed a small smile on his face as he spoke with whoever was on the other line in the kitchen. You couldn’t make out the words, but it didn’t seem of any significance. Not until he returned to his place on the recliner in the living room, the same little smile tugging on his lips.
“Who was that?” Erwin asked.
“No one. Just a coworker,” he responded dismissively.
“Seems a little late for ‘just a coworker’ to call you on a holiday.” Erwin said, an intonation of irritation in his voice.
“It’s nothing, son. Really,” he said, a tone of finality present in his voice as he looked at Erwin with a firm yet understanding stare. The air around the room shifted into something awkward and you weren’t sure how to shift it back. Luckily, you didn’t have to. Levi swept in to recover the previous content with a story of how he and Erwin recently attended one of his mom’s yoga classes. Erwin’s simmering mood turned to one of offense when Levi lightheartedly recounted how Erwin was endearingly bad at it.
And you hadn’t realized you fell asleep until Erwin was rousing you awake from your place on his shoulder. Not exactly sure when that happened either and you were almost embarrassed by it. Until you were met with a bright smile, lips tinted from the red wine and eyes soft and tender as they looked down at you. It was one of those rare moments when you couldn’t help but acknowledge how stunning Erwin was. Hair just slightly tousled, lashes long and sweeping – perfectly framing his dazzling blue eyes. You swallowed, mouth dry as you tore your eyes from his face and cleared your throat. Trying very hard to ignore your obvious attraction to him, blaming most of it on the wine and your creeping loneliness.
“Hey there, sleepyhead,” he said with amusement on his tongue.
“Sorry,” you apologized, voice unexpectedly hoarse. “Didn’t mean to fall asleep on you.”
“No need to apologize.” He squeezed your knee, large hand warm and fitting there. And another subtle wave of shame washed over you for thinking of him as anything other than a friend in that moment. “It’s time to get going, anyway.”
You nodded in response, uncurling your legs from where they were on the sofa and placing your socked feet on the fluffy rug before you. Erwin stood up before you did, walking to the kitchen to grab the bowls of food Mr. Smith most likely packed for you all to take as you slept. Your mind was distracted. Mostly confused as you tried to remember the moment you succumbed to your slumber. The kind that came with no dreams or nightmares, just a blank space of peaceful rest. The kind you haven’t had since that night Onyankopon left. The kind that always seemed to evade you. Until now.
“Here.” Levi held out your coat, blocking your vision with the black fabric until you looked up to look at his face. Expression hard as it always was, but this time laced with something fonder. His features weren’t deeply set, his brow unfurrowed and eyes half-lidded from sleepiness. His cheeks were a signature rosy color. The shade you’ve come to correlate with tipsy Levi. It suited him– the slight blush dusted across his face.
You rose to your feet before you grabbed your coat, only to come nearly nose to nose with him. Yet you were surprised when he didn’t take a step away from you. The space between your bodies was so little, it would hardly take a few inches of leaning into each other to kiss him. And the thought was so appealing to you. So startling in its wake that you stepped backward, only to tip over back onto the cushions of the sofa.
Levi chuckled deeply in his chest, the sound rolling over your shoulders and down your spine. And you knew the way your cheeks warmed had nothing to do with the glasses of wine dancing in your bloodstream. But despite the sudden onslaught of confusing desire thrumming beneath your skin, you took Levi’s hand when he offered it to you. Even allowed him to slip your coat on for you, buttoned it up until it stopped just beneath your collarbones, and tied the loose ends securely around your waist. It shouldn’t have felt like anything other than platonic. But your body was saying a very different thing than your mind was.
“Thank you,” you breathed, voice distant from your own ears, but there was a note of yearning there not even you could ignore. When Levi looked at you, fingers still holding the ties of your coat, you noticed how long his hair has gotten. His bangs nearly touched his lashes as his eyes glanced over your face. He simply nodded though before he finally took that step away from you. Air rushed in to fill the gap that wasn’t previously there and you were even more ashamed at how much you missed the close proximity. Your heart hammered away in your chest, reminding you that you weren’t frozen in place and when Erwin gently called your name, the heavy fog began to lift and you made your way to the door.
The goodbyes were quick. The ride home even quicker. But the awkward realization sat with you the entire way. The realization that due to your tangled emotions, you were somehow blurring the lines between friends. Even though it was just you feeling so conflicted, you wanted to pull away again. A part of you wanted to do what you always did and lock yourself away until time forced you to forget or get over it. But knowing them, they wouldn’t allow it. Just as they didn’t allow you to spend the holiday eating Chinese takeout and binging whatever reality show you managed to find.
You would just have to sort it out. Push away any longing you felt and just replace it with platonic affection. Surely, once the wine simmered its way out of your system it would take away any attraction you’ve encountered tonight with it. Because you couldn’t lose them too. Not to something as trivial as rebounding desire that ricocheted from a past love and desperately searched for a new one.
Tumblr media
The Christmas music was nonstop. It played at work, in stores, and even on the train one awfully dreary morning. You didn’t even know the train system had that option. So with all of that, you also weren’t surprised to hear a chaotic rendition of Jingle Bell Rock blast through the door of Hange’s bar. It was significantly warmer in their establishment and absolutely decorated to hell and back. This was either a person’s wet dream or elaborately niche nightmare.
There was an abundance of loud conversation happening over the song. Moblit was yelling something to Mike a few feet away from the bar top. All while Mike shrugged in response as he continued to polish glasses. You were sure he was only pretending to hear whatever Moblit was screaming and you chuckled into the scarf that was pulled over your nose to protect you from the fierce winds.
The three of you–you, Erwin, and Levi– began to shed off your outer layers at the door, the bottom of your boots leaving wet spots on the mat from the snow. It was starting to become quite evident that the three of you were nearly inseparable. You became a noted trio in your friend group.
When you met Nanaba for the first time a few weeks ago, she even jokingly referred to you as “Levi and Erwin’s third! It’s so nice to finally meet you.” It sort of rubbed you the wrong way initially, but you relaxed when you noticed everyone brush it off as meaningless banter. Because if you were being completely honest with yourself, that was a bit of a sore subject for you. The idea of being with Levi and Erwin, instead of just being with them all the time. You blamed it on some weird clingy rebound you must’ve been experiencing since your broken off engagement. The part of you that latched onto anything seemingly stable since you were so far from that. Especially since you didn’t have any idea how you managed to form such strong feelings for two people. Let alone your closest friends. You were positive you were just confusing potent platonic affection with regular romantic feelings. Whatever that meant.
“Don’t move!” Hange yelled from their place near the stage. You three immediately stopped in your tracks, your body flinching slightly since their voice carried much further after the abrupt ending of the song. You looked frantically behind you and then towards Levi, confused and more than a little concerned. On the opposite side of Levi, Erwin glanced nonchalantly at them as he readjusted the gift he bought for Secret Santa in his arms.
“What?” Levi said sternly, obvious irritation in his tone from not wanting to admit how their exclamation startled him. Instead of answering, Hange pointed to a spot directly above Levi’s head. You all tilted your heads slowly in the direction of their finger, and you were the first to react. A sudden and single laugh spilled from your lips. Cherry red and green spun down at you. A mistletoe hung delicately above your heads, still swaying from the wind that gusted through the open door when you entered it.
Levi sighed out a deep and annoyed breath, which made you huff out another light laugh. Over Levi’s head you made eye contact with a grinning Erwin, whose eyes twinkled with mischief and plotting. He glanced down at Levi with a jut of his chin and then pointed at his own cheek. You were confused at first until he exaggeratedly puckered his lips and pointed from his cheek to Levi. It clicked then, and you were hesitant, but when Ewin flashed another excited smile you conceded. It seemed like it only got harder to say no to him the more time you spent in his presence.
As Levi bickered with Hange in an entertainingly escalated debate, you and Erwin leaned over at the same time and placed a quick kiss to his cheeks. Which, comically, blossomed into a glorious shade of red. Deeper than any wine could ever do to him. Erwin retracted with a gross smacking sound and you just knew that the disgust now present on Levi’s face was due to the wet smooch left behind.
“You can stop arguing now, Grinch,” Erwin chuckled as he finally stepped out from beneath the mistletoe.
“That was wholly unnecessary,” he responded while wiping the spit from his cheek with the back of his hand. Which was when you noticed the glossy red lipstick mark you left on the other one. You bit the inside of your cheek to keep from laughing when he looked your way.
“What?” He asked, exasperated.
“You have some…” You pointed to your cheek and suppressed a smile. “Some lipgloss on your other cheek.”
He sighed, but to your surprise he made no move to remove it. He simply walked into the bar with another shake of his head and a defeated shrug. You stood planted at the door for a second, just taking in the chaos. The bar was closed for this intimate little event. The usually lit low hanging lights were off, instead replaced with a vast array of string lights that were strewn over every place the ladder would allow Hange or Moblit to reach. At the top of the Christmas tree was an empty bottle of bacardi that appeared to be haphazardly covered in red and gold glitter. It was a very interesting choice for a tree topper, but you expected nothing less from the otherwise eccentric owner.
“Yo, you gonna keep standing there or are you gonna come try this?” Moblit called out at you holding up a drink with what seemed to be vibrantly red contents inside the glass.
“What exactly am I trying?” You wandered over, skeptical and not trusting his dismissive nature as he handed you the glass.
“A surprise,” he smiled, pouring another one into a similar looking glass.
“I’m not a fan of surprises,” you stated, sniffing the surprisingly fruity smelling drink.
“It’s a good surprise, I swear.”
“You said that last time and I ended up drinking a cocktail with Fireball in it. Which was disgusting, mind you,” you said, just before taking a tentative sip of your drink. And he was right. This time it was good. You couldn’t really pinpoint what the ingredients were other than that it was slightly tart, but with a lovely hint of holiday spices incorporated.
“You like it,” he grinned, taking a sip of his own.
“I didn’t even say anything.”
“Didn’t have to. You’ve become very easy to read since I work with you everyday.” He chuckled when he said that. As if it was some simple thing to declare but there was a spike of fear in your chest. Because exactly how easy has it become to read you? “It’s called Christmas punch. We found the recipe a few years ago at this other bar we visited and it’s become kind of a staple seasonal drink for us ever since.”
You took another sip, noting the fun tease of ginger this time and smiled against the rim. “It is pretty good.”
“I fucking told you so.”
You propped your gift bag on the end of the bartop with all the other Secret Santa gifts, watching as everyone fell seamlessly into their own conversations and it was a comforting sight. Moblit and Mike behind the bar, while Hange and Levi tinkered with the karaoke machine settings to get the mic properly hooked up. Nanaba was racking the cue balls on the pool table while Erwin sipped on the same red drink you had in your hand as he gestured wildly with the pool stick.
You ended up watching them play a round, Erwin winning by a landslide. Many of Nanaba’s solid colored balls were still on the table, while the 8 ball was nowhere to be seen. Erwin’s celebration was loud, Nanaba rolling her eyes at him as he raised his arms above his head and cheered for himself. You laughed, third glass of punch in your hand and you were teetering across the line of tipsy and into drunkenness.
“You’re next.” Erwin pointed the pool stick at you as you pointed a questioning finger to yourself.
“Absolutely not. I don’t have enough coordination for this,” you defended, waving your drink at the game and laughing again.
“Perfect! It’ll be another easy victory.” He directed that at Nanaba, who flipped him off as she walked over to you and handed you her stick.
“I’m getting another drink,” she said. “Good luck with him.”
“Not sure how I feel about being the one to stroke his ego, but thanks.” You placed your now empty glass on a table nearby.
“You wanna break it or should I?” He asked, referring to the balls that were already set up in a triangle while adding the blue chalk to the top of his stick. Before handing it to you so you could do the same.
“Go ahead, big shot, since you’re so good at this.”
His grin was huge and confident. And you had to admit smugness looked good on him. Even if it did serve to annoy you. The balls scattered when he hit them, two striped balls falling into separate pockets.
“Guess your solids,” he said, hitting the white ball again, this time accidentally sending it into a pocket.
“And I guess your luck might be running out.” You teased, walking over to the pocket the white ball was in and positioning it by the ball of your choice.
“Doubt it, but let’s see what you got, sweetheart,” he said snidely, but he was still clearly amused.
And whatever luck and skill Erwin had seemed to transfer to you. Before either of you could even register it, you won the game. The 8 ball bounced off of his last striped ball and slid into one of the corner pockets. You were shocked at your win, but Nanaba and Hange cheered enthusiastically beside you. Nanaba very maturely telling Erwin to “suck on that, loser!”
Mike clapped Erwin on the shoulder as he chuckled at his expense. All while Erwin stood with his lips parted and obvious confusion on his face. “I call bullshit,” he said, pointing an accusatory finger at you. “You hustled me.”
“Beginner’s luck?” You offered instead, grinning from the adrenaline rush of winning. And the fact that Levi came over and slung his arm around your shoulder and laughed into your ear. “Thanks for humbling him. He needed it.”
When you made eye contact with him, you both began to laugh. Your cheeks were warm, the sweater you were wearing became stifling, but it didn’t matter. You were happy. Forreal this time.
“You have chalk on your cheek,” Levi said, fingers finding your chin and angling your face away from him. “How’d you manage that?”
His words were slightly slurred and you could smell the alcohol on his tongue. You were sure your breath probably smelled the same, but it was different feeling his fan delicately across your cheek as he used his thumb to rub off whatever smear was left there. When it didn’t wipe away cleanly, he reached out to the glass that sat precariously on the edge of the pool table and collected some of that condensation on the tip of his thumb.
“Not sure,” you breathed. “I was too busy kicking your man’s ass.”
He smirked, using his damp finger to effectively clean off the residue of the chalky substance. It was a thoughtful, if not compulsive gesture. Levi had a thing about cleanliness. A thing about things being orderly and appealing. So it was better for you not to read too deeply into the moment. Because it was a small moment between friends, no matter which way you cut it.
“And you looked good doing it,” he said as he let go of your face and wiped his fingers on a nearby napkin. Your brain stopped. You heard the gentle teasing in his voice, but it still surprised you. Because it felt like flirting. But Levi wasn’t the flirting type. You’d expect and actually have gotten used to these types of comments from Erwin. But that was who he was. Pushed your boundaries. Invaded your personal space. Made silly, complimentary comments. Flirted, but it was meaningless. Mostly.
“I-”
“Time for Secret Santa! Gather your shit and get your drunk asses over here,” Hange yelled. The gifts had been moved from the bar to a round table where enough chairs for everyone had been arranged in a circle. You grabbed the one you brought, the gift inside for Hange and your palms were beginning to sweat with nerves.
“You’re up first, new girl,” Moblit pointed your way as soon as everyone got settled. You knew you gave him a panicked sort of look because he chuckled, squeezed your shoulder, and then gestured for you to go on.
“Are we doing the whole I give you three clues and you guess or should I just hand it over?” You lifted your gift bag in emphasis, silently hoping they chose the latter. Because honestly you were a bit too drunk and a touch too nervous to come up with anything funny or interesting.
“Just give it,” Levi answered and waved his hand dismissively, and you could tell Moblit wanted to argue but when he felt your shoulders noticeably untense his lips closed around a smile. Hange was distracted, endlessly making sure everyone had a drink or a snack or was comfortable. They were a great, if not chaotic host. So you almost felt bad interrupting the small conversation they were having with Nanaba.
“Hange,” you said, standing in front of them with the strings of the gift bag dangling from your fingertips. Their face lit up. Eyes wide and smile splitting their face enthusiastically.
“For me?!” They squealed and you couldn’t help but smile back at their reaction.
“For you,” you urged the bag into their hands, and took a step back as they ripped the tissue paper from the bag and threw it over their shoulder. But unlike their rough treatment of the paper, when they pulled out the folded bundle of yarn, they held it with delicate and curious fingers. You felt the need to explain in that moment, in an attempt to jump ahead of the confusion in case they had no idea what it was. “It’s a balaclava. Handmade from this little online shop. You wear it over your head and it’ll keep your ears warm because I remember when you were complaining about wearing ear muffs so I just thought that maybe you would…”
“I love it!” They immediately shoved their head through the hole on the bottom, their hair a mess peeking out of the front with how forcefully they put the accessory on. You reached forward, swiping their bangs out of their eyes and adjusting it so it sat better around their face. They smiled up at you, colorful, crocheted balaclava fit snugly over their head.
“You look cute, actually,” you laughed, stepping away as they toyed with the drawstrings hanging under their chin.
“I’m never taking it off.”
“Ok, weirdo,” you laughed again with a shake of your head as you took your seat again.
The game somehow worked out perfectly with you going first. Everyone received their gift from their Secret Santa until you were the only one without one. And it just so happened that the final person standing with a gift still to give was Erwin. There was a heat in your chest that rose when you realized the present he was clutching so ridiculously the entire way to the bar was actually for you. Which then explained his odd reaction when you pretended to lift a piece of the wrapping paper that wasn’t secured properly. You had never seen him move so quickly since you’d known him.
He grabbed the box-shaped gift off the table, spinning it his hands as he dramatically scanned the group as if none of you knew who it was for.
“Just give it to me.” You held out your hands in anticipation, your cheeks warming under the attention, but ready to get the moment over with and not over think it.
“How are you so sure it’s yours?” Erwin teased, taking careful steps towards you and your outstretched arms.
“Erwin,” you said, wiggling your fingers as he placed the surprisingly light box onto your palms. You peeled the paper back attentively, even though it was just plain brown paper with little snowflakes on it, you still felt bad tearing it apart. And you weren’t too sure what you were expecting. Knowing Erwin it could very well be a gag gift or a play on some inside joke you had with each other. That was what you were anticipating. A laugh and then a change in subject since the game was over.
But what you weren’t expecting was a vinyl record. You knew of the artist, but never really listened to her work. And so when you flipped the record around after slipping it out of the cardboard box, the silence was louder than what would’ve been comfortable for most people.
“Norah Jones,” he said, shifting in place before continuing. “That was my mom’s favorite musician. And I know how much you like to collect those things, so I kinda thought that maybe you would like that album.”
You were drunk. That was how you justified the tears that pricked at your lash line. And the burning in your throat. And the slight pout of your lips when it hit you how sentimental and thoughtful his gift was.
“Erwin, I-”
“Put that bottom lip away. Don’t be weird about it.” He rolled his eyes. His playful energy attempted to resurface but you could tell how important it was for him that you liked this gift. Because it meant something to him. Something very personal and intimate.
You held the record to your chest that was already feeling far fuller than it has in months. “Internally, I’m being very weird about it, but for now I’ll just say thank you. So, thank you, Erwin.”
“Good, can we get drunk now?” He sighed, his shoulders relaxing as he smiled his easy going grin at you.
“We already are,” Mike piped up from his spot behind where Erwin was standing.
“Fine, can we get drunk-er now?”
“Yes! And I have just the thing,” Hange exclaimed, jumping up from their seat, balaclava still on, as they ran behind the bar to make whatever lethal concoction they had up their sleeve. When everyone stood to do their own things again, you approached Erwin with the record still held tightly against your heart.
He looked down at you with a relieved fondness in his gaze, and you melted. “I really do love this.”
“I’m glad,” he shrugged, acting as if this present was really no big deal at all.
“I’m gonna play it as soon as I get home,” you grinned, flipping the record around to read the tracklist.
“Is that right?” He was standing closer than you expected, and you could feel the rumble of his laughter against your shoulder, where he was pressed against you.
“Mhmm,” you hummed, looking back up at him. A strange and overwhelming sense of contentment flooded between the two of you. And again you blamed the rush of emotion on the alcohol. Because otherwise, the feelings would be unexplainable. Or too uncomfortable to linger on for longer than a moment.
The walk home was twice as long as it usually was. And far funnier than any of you could actually account for. You were wasted. Words slurring, unable to walk in a straight line, and a giggling mess. The entire walk home you clutched to Levi’s elbow as Erwin held tightly to Levi’s hand. And he could fool anyone, but you both knew how drunk Levi really was. He just had a great center of gravity. The stabilizing force between you and Erwin, tethering you two to the ground. The three of you spent three long minutes searching for your house keys in the bottom of your purse. Voices loud and intrusive in the city nighttime. Even though the train could still be heard, it was nothing compared to the obstructive whispering that was occurring on your doorstep. It would have been quieter if the three of you just talked regularly to each other. But logic and reason were not within reach.
“I got it!” Erwin spoke, disregarding the whispering in exchange for a near echoing shout. You shushed him by pressing your forefinger to his lips, his smile stretching against your fingertips and he winked at you. You snatched the keys from his hand and turned around before your flustered state became noticeable. It took four tries before you were able to slot the key into the lock and you stumbled into your home when the weight of your body against the door threw it open. Levi caught you by tugging the tie of your coat towards him. His other hand somehow landing on your hip over your layers and gripping tightly in order to keep you from falling to the ground. When you turned to thank him, his face was only centimeters from yours. And you briefly thought about how much of a coincidence it was that you always seemed to find yourself in this position with him. But when you noticed the scowl on his face, you laughed. Your head fell forward, forehead knocking against his cheek because you couldn’t help it. He looked so over your antics and when you breathed out a chuckled “thanks, Levi” he simply grunted and pushed you gently into your home.
Erwin found his way into your kitchen. The fridge light brightened your dark home and cast a harsh white glow over the small area. But it supplied enough light for you to kick off your boots and hook your coat onto the rack before following him into the kitchen as well.
“You have no food,” he grumbled, opening a bottle of water before chugging down half of it in one go.
“We just ate at the bar. How are you still hungry?” You pulled your sweater over your head as you answered him and tossed it onto one of the barstools, leaving you in the thin black long-sleeve beneath. He handed another bottle over to you, unscrewing the cap and a little bit of the water dribbled over the lip and onto your thumb when you took it from him.
“Don’t judge me,” he argued, “you’re the one with an empty fridge. When was the last time you went to the grocery store?”
“I buy groceries on an as needed basis,” you slurred out, propping yourself up on your elbows on the island to keep from tipping to one side.
“And you need food,” he laughed, kicking the fridge door closed and leaning against it, darkening the space again. You waved him off, instead turning around to see Levi staring inquisitively at your couch. You didn’t clean it off this morning before you went out. The blanket unfolded and your pillow still propped against the arm. An awkward rush of discomfort flooded into your chest. Something close to shame sat tightly against your sternum and you waited for Levi to say something. Anything really when he turned to you. But instead of asking the question you could practically see on the tip of his tongue, he took two steps towards you and grabbed the water bottle from your grip. You stared as he swallowed down a quarter of it in what seemed to be a singular gulp.
“That was mine,” you said, the words an offended whisper. Erwin chuckled from his spot behind you. You turned to glance at him and he simply shrugged. Your home felt so small when they were in it. Their two bodies somehow filled up the space in a way you couldn’t really describe. Other than that you liked it. Your home felt more complete with them in it. And the weird fluttering feeling you found in your stomach sometimes when in their company decided to make a reappearance.
“I should go to bed. I need to sleep off the liquor.”
“Great idea,” Erwin replied, pushing himself off of your fridge and tossing his now empty bottle into the recycling bin you kept next to the trash can. “You should take ibuprofen before you sleep, though. May help with the inevitable hangover.”
“Yeah yeah. Whatever you say, dad,” you laughed with a roll of your eyes. He responded with a similar gesture, the both of you smiling at each other at the end of it. You walked them to your door, taking a steady breath to brace for the cold that would seep in when you opened it. There was a pause in your doorway as the three of you looked out at the city night. Gentle snow flurries fell to the ground, the scene idyllic and calm. And the silence that fell over the city should have felt eerie since it so rarely happened. But you only saw beauty in that brief silence. Broken only by the sudden passing of the train.
“Good night,” you said as you stepped aside for them to walk out. As they walked past, Levi gave you a surprising hug. It was quick, but the squeeze of his arms around your shoulders was reassuring. And you would’ve returned it if he hadn’t released you so swiftly as if he shouldn’t have hugged you in the first place. Right after him, Erwin pressed a kiss to your temple. Unlike Levi, he lingered there for longer than would have been necessary between friends. Only to pull away with a whispered and returned “good night.”
You watched as they trotted down the steps, shutting your door only when you heard the opening of theirs. The space was yours again. Lonesome in its wake and a veil of knowing sorrow draped over the interior. But that was to be expected. And you found an odd comfort in it. Because above everything else, at the very least it was yours and no one could take that from you.

Look out your window.
Levi let out a small groan as he turned from the math problems he was currently working on to the open window. As he stuck his head out a snowball hit him dead in the face.
"Oh shit my bad!" You called out with a small wave of your arms.
"Come on sneak out with me" you whisper yelled as you signaled him.
He rolled his eyes before wiping the leftover snow off his face.
"Stay right there. And don't do anything stupid!" He whispers back before turning to put on his coat and snow boots while trying to be quiet so as to not wake his sleeping family members.
As he opened the back screen door he stepped into his backyard to see you sitting on the swing set with your phone in hand.
"Finally I thought you'd take forever" you said rolling your eyes.
"You're the one who showed up in my backyard at 11 pm" he said, rolling his eyes.
"It's 11 already!?" You said checking the time on your phone before quickly standing up, wiping the snow off your butt.
"Come on, I want to show you something!" You said excitedly grabbing his mitted hand in yours before dragging him out the gate you entered.
After dragging him for about 10 minutes he finally managed to break free from your hold after assuring you that he wouldn't run back home.
You two arrived at a large gate that led to one of those high end neighborhoods.
"Seriously?" He asked, raising an eyebrow as you used the wall to help you scale the gate.
"Yeah seriously, come on!" You said excitedly hopping over the edge disappearing from his view as he sighed, shaking his head before following.
This neighborhood was located on top of a hill overlooking the city.
You grabbed his hand and pulled him onto the bench nearby.
"Why are we here?" He asked as you excitedly pointed towards the view. "Just look, the view speaks for itself" you said as he turned to the city, grey eyes widening at the sight.
On Top the hill you had the most perfect view of the city filled with bright colorful Christmas lights, And with it being a few minutes to midnight fireworks we're filling the sky.
"I came here alone last year and decided to come here every year before the countdown for Christmas." You said your eyes gleaming with excitement as you observed every individual house that was a small part of the beautiful picture laid out In Front of your eyes.
"Pretty huh?" You asked, turning to look at him.
"Yeah," he whispered, looking back at you.
Both of you looked back to your phone as your alarm for midnight rang.
"Happy birthday!" You said excitedly pulling out your bag.
"I said I didn't want anything" he said as you rummaged through your bag.
"I don't care, I got you a gift." You said rolling your eyes as you pulled out a gift wrapped with grumpy, from Snow White all over.
"I hate you so much" he said as you handed him the box with a laugh.
"I think that's the nicest thing you've said to me," you said as he observed the box.
"I remember how much you loved it on that trip" you started as he opened the box carefully as his eyes widened at the contents. "It was expensive and hard to find but I know you liked it.
Four months ago, back in late summer; your class had taken a cruise vacation all paid for by the school.
It was a fancy ass boat, with chandeliers, restaurants, and even its own pool.
You and Hanji had practically begged Levi to come on the trip saying that the three of you, along with Erwin, would have a blast.
Reluctantly he agreed.
On the first day of the trip it was obvious he wasn't having much fun. Other than the dolphin sightings nothing really cured him of his boredom.
That was until dinner.
At dinner there was a type of tea served. A type of tea that you and everyone else found gross, so much for a 'one of a kind' tea.
But for some reason the short grumpy student greatly enjoyed the flavor stating that it was because the others had no taste.
He loved the tea so much that he asked the staff if they had any he could buy.
Sadly the staff informed him that none was for sale.
He remembered what you had asked him on the last day of the cruise.
"Why did you like the tea so much?" You asked, turning from the view of the deep blue sea to his deep gray stormy eyes.
"It reminded me of someone, someone that I thought I had forgotten long ago" he whispered as he turned back to the sea.
"Mama?" A young boy with jet black hair said looking up at his mother who was currently doing laundry.
"Yes baby?" Turning to look at her son who was currently drinking out of his favorite tea cup.
"Whad dea is dis?" He asked, looking down at the floating tea leaves.; his small lips coming out.
"Mama doesn't know baby, but if you like it we can, have it every afternoon during tea time if you'd like" she said as the young boy gave her one of his toothy smiles.
"Yes please! Id really dasty!"
Down in the nearly wrapped box laid a package for the tea that the boy thought he had lost long ago.
"Merry Christmas and happy birthday Levi!"
Happy birthday Levi 🎉

Almost: Levi Ackerman x Reader
Modern AU Levi Ackerman x Reader fanfic I've been dying to write! Levi is my latest hyper fixation so this was bound to happen. There will be other AOT characters in the mix, but remember this is a modern AU!
Chapter 4 - Tequila
Chapter Summary: Levi has to tend to some work things, which leads you to turn to your second favorite drink to coffee: tequila.

☕︎⋆˙⟡♡☕ LEVI ☕︎⋆˙⟡♡☕
Fucking Erwin. He never bothers me, but when my dick is hard and I'm making out with a beautiful woman, he decided to call.
"What." I say through my teeth, turning towards the wall.
"Why are you so grumpy?" Erwin asked with a slight giggle.
"It's Saturday, my day off, and you're calling me."
"You never care if you have to take work calls on weekends. Unless -"
"If you finish that sentence I will punch you right into next week."
"Jesus, Levi." I could tell Erwin was shaking his head on the other side of the phone. "We need you to come to the office. One of the stakeholders has dropped out of the latest project and the team is in shambles."
I sucked my teeth, leaning my head back. "I'll be there soon."
The last thing I wanted to do was leave you because 1. I enjoy spending my time with you. 2. My dick is hard as fuck and now I'm gonna have to jerk off later tonight to relieve myself.
When I turn around, you're already up and grabbing my coat for me. Your eyes have a slight sheen to them, almost like you're about to cry.
"I had fun." Your smile is kind, which makes leaving that much harder.
"I'm sorry." I grab my coat from your hands, a sigh leaving my lips.
"We'll talk soon."
☕︎⋆˙⟡♡☕ BRATTY BARISTA ☕︎⋆˙⟡♡☕
"We'll talk soon." Levi kissed your forehead, leaving your apartment.
What the fuck does that mean? Levi is so elusive, you think you know what he's thinking when in reality you have no idea. You couldn't believe he just... left. You knew it was work related, but still.
But what the hell do you know about being a CEO.
You slid your phone out of your back pocket and typed in Nina's name.
You: Let's go out tonight.
Nina: You've never asked for a girls night out... what's up?
You: Can't I be spontaneous?
Nina: Nope.
You: Well I wanna go out tonight. Are you in or no?
Nina: Duh. I'll be at your place at 8.
Did you want to go out because you wanted to be 'spontaneous' or did you want to go out to get your mind off Levi?
The latter. Obviously.
☕︎⋆˙⟡♡☕
Staring at yourself in the full length mirror, you glide your hands over your curves that Levi was touching before. You swear you could still feel his firey touch.
You turned your body to the side, nodding in approval of how your ass looked in your dress. Your heels twist as you take one last look in the mirror before hearing knocking at your door.
Your dress is a black, high neck, ripped dress with a slit to show off your thigh. You paired it with black strappy heels and small gold hoops. Your makeup is different from the usual - still glowy but more dramatic and your hair was in loose waves.
Truth be told, you didn’t want to let yourself fall to fast for Levi. You had 2 dates with him - that didn’t mean he was yours. Not that you even knew what you were, the dating climate is so fucked up that it seems like everyone just wants to hook up but never have a mental and emotional connection.
You’ve hooked up with plenty of guys before, but they’ve never made you cum. How sad is that? With the amount of dicks that have been inside you, not one actually pleasured you.
“Knock knock!” Nina interrupted your thoughts. “Can you let me in?”
The sound of your heels against the hardwood floor echoed. “Sorry!” You open the door with a smile. Nina greets you with a hug and a bottle of tequila.
“I brought your favorite so we can pregame! The club won’t be actually fun until like 11.”
“Give me that.” You swipe the bottle, unscrewing the cap and pouring a shot in your mouth.
“Damn, bad date?”
“Not bad, but he left when we were getting hot and heavy.”
“Um what?” Nina’s eyes were in disbelief.
“Yeah. Let’s not talk about it.” Your mind wanders to your phone. You put it on do not disturb and haven’t checked it since you asked Nina if she wanted to go out.
Nina could talk for hours. She told you about her latest flings, some work gossip, and how she thinks she’s now lactose intolerant.
4 shots later, you and Nina were buzzed. Nina called the Uber, and you both were off.
The club was about a 15 minute drive away. It’s a newer club that everyone was at every weekend.
You felt your phone buzz in your purse, but did nothing. The Uber pulled up to the club around 10:30. You could faintly hear the music from the building, bodies flooding into the doors.
☕︎⋆˙⟡♡☕
“Tequila pineapple, please.” You ask the bartender, handing him a $10.
“There’s so many cute guys here!” Nina wiggled her hips to the music, sipping her drink.
Nina is right, there are a lot of cute guys here.
None of them come close to Levi Ackerman.
But that man is not yours.
Bzzzzzz.
You ignore your phone again, swaying to the beat. You feel a body crash into yours, slightly spilling your drink.
“I am so sorry.” A taller man said, grabbing napkins from the bar behind him. “I should look where I’m going.”
The man had light brown hair that matched his eyes. His body towered over yours as he handed you napkins. “My name is Jean.”
You tell Jean your name, shaking his hand softly. “It’s okay, no big deal.” You sipped your drink, feeling your anxiety fade away. “You owe me another drink though.”
“Honestly, I wanted to get you one anyways. You look gorgeous.”
A blush graced your cheeks as you walked to the bar, ordering another tequila pineapple.
Bzzzz.
Bzzzz.
Bzzzz.
Nina found you and brought 3 new friends: Eren, Armin, and Mikasa. Eren had longish hair with green eyes, Armin sported blonde locks with stunning blue eyes, and Mikasa was one of the most gorgeous women you’ve ever seen. Dark and sharp features. You might also be scared of her.
“You found Jean!” Eren laughed, punching his shoulder lightly. “We’ve been looking for you!”
“Yeah, yeah.” Jean placed his hand on your waist swaying slowly to the beat of the music.
Bzzzzz. Bzzzz. Bzzzz. Bzzzzz.
“Ugh, one second.” You pulled away from Jean, taking your phone out of your purse.
Levi: 10 unread texts
Levi: 11 missed calls
As you were putting your phone in your purse, a call popped up.
Levi is calling…📞
“Hello?” You covered one of your ears, trying to hear him over the music.
“Where the fuck are you?” Levi’s tone was filled with anger. “I’ve been calling you for hours.”
“I’m out. Is that okay?” The sarcasm jumped from your tongue.
“Where.”
“Where what?”
“Where are you?”
“Ummmm. The club is called Vibe. I’m not sure where though.”
“Why haven’t you been -“
“Gotta go!” You pressed the big red button, throwing your phone in your purse.
Jean dances with you for a few more songs, asking about your life as much as he could since it’s so loud in the club.
Then you feel a familiar hand on your waist, forcefully pulling you into him.

As a distrustful ocxcanon consumer, in any fandom, if a character has a canon relationship or is very related to character X, I try to stay away from making Selfship with them.
Even though I see that Levi doesn't have a love interest in canon, so I do Selfship with him and consume content about them, including your articles, some shipper say that even though Levi ships are not canon, there is actually a subtext in their relationship, and they claim that Isayama doesn't show it openly because he is afraid of the fans. Or they say that even if that ship is not canon, Levi cares about character X more than anyone else, and that he would have so much compassionate feelings for him that he would drive humanity to hell.
Even though I thought they were just exaggerating and I ignored them, this last statement impresses me because in canon, Levi's actions and the fact that half of the character arc is about character X, and also the side materials, Va's, Isayama interviews, whenever Levi is mentioned, I feel like half of it is always about X, and I feel like they're always trying to insert X somehow. Yes, Levi doesn't have a canon romantic relationship, but I have a hard time imagining him as an independent, equal man based on these things, and I have a hard time building scenarios about him. Sorry for writing so much nonsense. One thing I want to say is that I envy your guys for not worrying about it and having fun with your own content. I wish I could be like your guys and not worry about it so much and have my own fun.
Anon your feelings are valid and I completely understand that it can get frustrating. It bothered me when I first got into the fandom and I don't shy away from that fact. 🤷🏼‍♀️
However, Isayama has never been the one to shy away from making his actual couples canon, never. 'Subtext' being something shippers use doesn't surprise me at all, since most of the times it's nothing. Using subtext for a ship is dumb, I said this before, If we go by subtext, hell even Eren and Levi can be read to have something romantic in that sense which,of course, they don't haha.
As for the interviews, Isayama's editor himself told the fans not to take interviews as strictly canon and any actual interview I have heard from Isayama, he never talked about Levi with anybody in a romantic way. As for the side materials, there's again, nothing romantic about it. Hell, there are side materials for every single Levi "ship", shippers often just choose and pick what they want from these materials, anon. And Va's interviews are interesting because Levi's VA apparently stated at one point that he thinks Erwin and Levi aren't even friends, just comrades. Most interviews on here are badly translated or shippers just pick and choose what they want to hear and twist words.
I'll assume that when you say "X" you're talking about Erwin and I can't deny that Erwin was a very important person to Levi and his death was one of the main plots of the story, however, this isn't by any means because Levi was in love with Erwin or had some sort of secret romantic relationship going on with him or because Erwin was Levi's "most important" person. Levi saw Erwin as a guiding light for his strength, he believed that Erwin can show him how to help people, save humanity. They both had so much respect for each other. He was his friend and comrade, that's a strong relationship but not at all a romantic one. Levi's character arc was never about Erwin, if you think that way, maybe you should pay more attention to the canon manga and the anime instead of listening to what people on the internet say anon, Levi is his own character, it was never about Erwin only.
Levi is his own character, he cares about all of his friends and comrades equally. So anon, you should have fun, let yourself enjoy Levi's character because he doesn't have a love interest because the simple truth is, if Isayama wanted Levi to have something romantic with Erwin, Hange, Petra, whoever. He would've done that but he didn't because again, Levi doesn't have a lover and doesn't need one.

After reading that Oluo vs Gelger drinking competition, could you do a modern version of one? Where they're all college students on a holiday vacation together. Pairings: Rivetra, Mikenana, Eld x his fiancée
wow, i wrote that one like 5 years ago. it was fun to kind of revisit and write an au of a fic i've written, haha. thanks!
that's the holiday spirit!
scouting legion veterans. eld x fiancee. mikenana. rivetra. college au. 1690 words. read on ao3.
“Alright, let’s get this competition underway!” Abel announces with a huge grin. His cheeks are flushed from the many cups of spiked hot chocolate he had downed earlier. In his hands he has a large bottle of peppermint Smirnoff that hasn’t been opened yet. He shakes it a bit before making of show of twirling it around by its neck only to nearly drop it on the floor. Luckily, he catches it at just the last second. “Wow, it’s a good thing I didn’t drop it!”
“Oh, stop the theatrics and let’s just get this started already!” Hanji calls. They pushes Moblit towards the table where the participants will be drinking. “Come on, Moblit! Let’s go! You can win this!”
Like everyone else, Moblit’s cheeks are flushed and his eyes are glassy. He stumbles on over towards the table. Strangely, his expression isn’t fierce or determined like his competitors. Rather, he seems like he wants to get this over with as quickly as possible. “Shouldn’t we have started this when we were all sober? Some of us have drank more than others at this point. I don’t think it’s a fair competition.” Despite all the drinks Moblit has polished off so far, he’s impressively coherent.
“Are you trying to back out of this, Berner?” Auruo accuses. He squints as he points at someone that he thinks is Moblit but is really Erwin. Gunther gently guides his friend’s finger towards where Moblit is standing.
Gelgar lets out what he must think is a threatening laugh but what sounds like a strangled gurgle. “I can outdrink everyone no matter how many drinks I’ve had!” he chortles, but he sways where he stands and Nifa has to hold him upright lest he collapse on the floor.
“Let’s just get this over with,” Moblit mutters. He’s the only one of the participants that seems to have control of his limbs. It’s clear who the winner will be even though the competition hasn’t even started.
Everyone cheers as Abel pours the vodka messily into the shot glasses. He leaves pools of alcohol on the table, but the three competitors pick up the shot glasses without complaint and down them as quickly as possible. As the vodka slides down their throat, Gelgar and Auruo gasp and gag. Only Moblit doesn’t seem to have any reaction.
“Oh my god,” Auruo chokes, pounding a fist against his chest. His eyes water as his throat fills with the sharp aftertaste of peppermint that only accentuates the trail of fire that the vodka has burned down his throat. Even as he tries to regain his composure, his eyes water. “Oh god, it hurts. It hurts so good.”
“Oh, fuck yeah,” Gelgar gasps. His fist clutches the shot glass so hard that his knuckles turn white. He had only just swallowed his last shot but he seems to be swaying even more than he was before and Nifa is having trouble supporting him. “Oh, fuck. Jesus, that’s a lot.”
“God, why the fuck are you so heavy?” Nifa grumbles.
Moblit simply slams his empty shot glass on the table and slides it over to Abel. “Hit me again,” he says as the rest of his friends cheer.
On the other side of the room, Eld and his fiancée Rosaline are observing with amused smiles on their faces. Eld had suggested that he and Rosaline go on a separate vacation instead of going away to a ski resort with his friends, but Rosaline had insisted. Even though she only hangs out with Eld’s larger group of friends every once and a while, she always enjoys spending time with them.
“They’re as amusing as always,” Rosaline says. She leans her head against Eld’s shoulder and snuggles even closer to him as he wraps his arm around her.
“I can’t believe you chose this over an intimate winter getaway with me,” Eld chuckles, his warm breath tickling her cheek. He leans in close to press a kiss against Rosaline’s temple.
“We can always sneak away later,” Rosaline says with a coy smile. She taps a finger against the rim of the cup Eld holds in one of his hands. She takes a careful sip as Eld brings it to her lips. Her lipstick stains the rim. “Hm, I’ve been wondering this entire night. Is this ... interesting concoction your doing, Eld?”
Eld raises his eyebrows and lifts the cup to his lips to hide his mischievous smile. He drinks exactly where Rosaline’s lips had been. “What gave it away? I followed the recipe: peppermint schnapps, vanilla vodka, and hot chocolate. Well, maybe I did make a slight improvisation.”
Rosaline wrinkles her nose at Eld. “Perhaps that splash of gin that doesn’t quite go with everything else, although it seems like everyone else is enjoying it.” She laughs as her fiancé leans in to rub the tip of his nose against hers lovingly.
The drinking competition is still going on although Gelgar and Auruo are looking more green with sick than flushed red with drunkenness. Still, they continue to persist even though Moblit is the only one with a real chance of winning. Every time it looks as if they are about to hurl, they swallow down the bitter bile that threatens to rise from their throats and quickly call Abel to pour them another drink.
“You should be up there,” Nanaba says, nudging her boyfriend with her elbow. Her cheeks are flushed from the drinks she’s had that night. In her hand is cup of Eld’s spiked hot chocolate that’s only half-finished. She had downed the other cups quickly, but she takes her time with this one as she enjoys her current mellow, drunken state. “You could easily take on Moblit, don’t you think?”
Mike chuckles and shakes his head. Even though he’s had his fair share of drinks, he’s probably the most sober person here. The slight flush of his cheeks is the only indication of alcohol in his system. “Moblit is an entirely different species of human. I can handle my liquor, but Moblit’s blood is 90 percent alcohol at this point. Apparently, only drinking can greatly relieve the stress of a neuroscience student.”
“Poor guy,” Nanaba says with a click of her tongue. She looks up at Mike affectionately, leaning against him. “Still, don’t you think it would have been fun? You could have at least tried.”
“For what? I don’t even think there’s a prize for first place,” Mike chuckles, and Nanaba can feel the low rumble of his laughter as she presses against his side. He reaches out to affectionately brush her hair from her face.
“Hm, bragging rights?” Nanaba asks.
“Then next time I’ll partake in any competition regardless of the prize so you can brag about me,” Mike says. He cracks a smile as Nanaba giggles against him and soon his laughter mingles with hers.
On one side of the room is another couple observing the competition. Petra giggles drunkenly as she watches Auruo take another shot, spilling most of the vodka down his mouth because he’s so drunk that his hand-eye coordination is almost zero. She turns to find Levi watching the entire drinking game with an unamused expression.
“Worried about the mess?” she asks. Everything she says is punctuated with a little giggle at the end. She can’t stand up straight and tries to lean against the wall only to find herself slipping. “Oh!”
“I’m always worried about the mess. We’re only renting this place, after all. We can’t leave a mess,” Levi replies. He wraps an arm around Petra’s waist and pulls her against him. He doesn’t bat an eyelash when she drapes herself against him, leaning against him like a pillar and wrapping her arms around his neck. He glances over at her and brushes her hair away from her flushed cheeks. “How much have you had to drink?”
“More than you, I’m guessing,” Petra giggles. She presses herself against him even more like she means to permanently fix herself to Levi’s side. She turns her head so that her face is pressed against his neck. As she speaks, her lips brush against his skin. “Levi, you shouldn’t worry so much. You’re the only one who isn’t having fun.”
“Who says I’m not having fun?” Levi asks, but his tone is so flat that it’s difficult to believe he’s enjoying himself at all. A sigh escapes his lips when Petra sticks out her lower lip in a pout. He reaches out to tilt her face up towards his. “Well, do you have something else fun in mind besides watching this inane drinking competition?”
Petra bites her lip as she tries to hold back her smile. “I might have something in mind,” she says as she pulls Levi in by the collar of his turtleneck sweater.
Petra leans in just enough for their lips to brush against each other. Levi is the one to pull her in to close the distance between them completely. He wraps one arm around her waist, bringing Petra flush against his own body as their lips slot together. The other hand he has tenderly cupping her chin, and he gently guides her lips against his. She tastes of sweet chocolate and peppermint schnapps. Levi has never cared very much for the taste of alcohol, but he loves the taste of it on Petra’s lips so he kisses her harder to savor the flavor on her tongue only to hear something that makes him freeze.
He can try to ignore it as much as he wants, but it’s the noise of someone being sick. From the sound of it, the person was unable to make it to the restroom.
“It’ll bother you if you don’t clean it up, huh?” Petra whispers against his lips, and Levi nods. She knows him too well. Petra doesn’t seem bothered in the least, only amused as she pulls away from him. She reaches out to fix his hair. “To be continued, I guess.”
Levi groans as he leans his forehead against Petra’s collarbone. “I fucking hate the holidays.”
“Now that’s the holiday spirit,” Petra laughs.

aot as tropes pt 1
Tumblr media
♡ characters: levi, hange, erwin
♡ contains: gn!reader, modern au, fluff, angst?, hcs, hange written with she/they pronouns
♡ warning: not proofread, lowercase intended
♡ a/n: something i’ve had in my drafts for a while that i decided to elaborate further only recently. college has been rough as hell, but writing is my only motivation rn. on the bright side tho, i might make some of these one-shots in the future 👀 pt 2 is currently being written & will include: eren, mikasa, armin, and jean
Tumblr media
erwin
- my vacation fling
you met on vacation at a tourist spot
i’m sorry but i can just imagine erwin in those khaki shorts and short-sleeve polo shirts with those sandals
anyways
he asked you to take a picture of him since he was by himself & you take the picture for him
he makes conversation as he goes through the photos you took
you were a bit spontaneous - the reason you were on the trip in the first place with barely any luggage
“do you want to check out the rest of these spots together?” you ask erwin as you show him a pamphlet of local favorites
you guys ended up spending the rest of the day together
many pictures were taken & you guys even pretended to be a couple for the couple’s discount at this ice cream parlor
it felt as if you were newlyweds on a honeymoon & you swear you haven’t had this much fun before
it wasn’t until you were on the plane heading home that you realized you never exchanged contact information
staring at the fluffy white clouds that you were now eye-level with, you hope that you may one day run into him again
levi
- a stranger saved my life!
you hadn’t met up with your friend in a while, so naturally, you were excited and a bit less cautious of your surroundings
with your attention elsewhere, you crossed the street without realizing the light had turned red
a stranger tugs your body back into theirs
confused and a bit scared, you look back at the stranger who had pulled you and see a tired, but piercing gaze staring back at you
he immediately chastised you
“watch where you’re going. you could’ve gotten yourself killed.”
heart still racing - you weren’t sure if it was from almost dying or the handsome man that saved you - you thank him and ask for his contact information to repay him
he was hesitant, but after your persistence, he gave in
you contacted him every day in hopes of seeing him again and honestly he was annoyed
days later and no daily text messages, levi grew worried
had you gotten into some kind of accident? he wouldn’t be surprised after your little fiasco when he first met you
levi had not realized that he had grown used to your messages and began to miss them
after much consideration, levi contacted you first
a few hours later, you replied that your phone had broke and you brought it in to be repaired
you were happy that levi missed you and decided to shoot your shot
who knew that levi would agree to go on a date with you?
hange
- i have a crush on my professor?!
you don’t remember the first time your heart sped up in someone else’s presence nor the first time your cheeks grew so hot you thought you were having some kind of heat stroke
all you knew, was that the cause of your growing crush was none other than hange zoe, your chemistry professor
it seems that every time they lingered around you or helped you when you were stuck, butterflies welled up in your stomach
every time that expression of excitement made its way onto her face, you felt your own happiness course its way throughout your body
after learning that professor zoe would be attending the student & professor dinner meet up, you knew you had to go as well
a chance to spend time with your crush outside of class?? of course you wouldn’t miss this chance
after having a few too many drinks, you mustered up the courage to finally make your crush known. you didn’t think too hard about the regret you may feel the morning after, you only thought about how great of an opportunity this was
“professor zoe, may we step outside for a second?”
you poured your heart out to them and they had to admit, for how drunk you were, your confession was pretty articulate
to your dismay however, hange rejected you nicely. a relationship between professor and student was far too scandalous
morally, it wasn’t correct and hange could lose her job. she couldn’t return your feelings.
of course this would happen! what did you expect?

What are your top 3 favorite official aus? I mean official arts like Janitor/History teacher, Science teacher and PE teacher Erwin etc?
Ooh tough one! There are so many to choose from. I'm going to have to go with the ones that have inspired me to write.
Sukiya AU
The art was hot as hell and the little character bios turned Erwin and Levi's usual dynamic on its head by making Levi the white collar office supervisor and Erwin the construction site foreman. There have been dozens of Sukiya AU fics over the years, mine is called Building on the Past.
Tumblr media
Hita Tourism AU
I'm not sure if you would really class this as an AU but I'm including it anyway. Isayama has drawn lots of little pieces of art for a (very successful!) tourism campaign for his home town of Hita. I particularly loved these two pieces which inspired one of the few reincarnation fics I've written - Where the "i" should be.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Silver Leggings AU
Every so often this old Tokyo Girls collab resurfaces and the reaction from fans who have never seen it before is always priceless. It's hard to overestimate the fun that the fandom had with this AU back in the day. I wrote two fics based on it - Chrome and Gig.
Tumblr media
Honorable mention to Isayama's High School AU and the Zombie AU within an AU, and also Mer Levi and King Erwin. I haven't written anything for these AUs myself, but other authors have written some fabulous fics for them.

- back off -
a military ball. it was always an interesting time of the year whenever these were hosted somewhere within wall sina, usually consisted of a fun night with high ranking officers from every regiment getting drunk and dancing recklessly in the middle of the dance floor.
sounds fun, right? well, not for you and a certain raven haired captain.
you and levi were never ones to go partying but the two of you always end up getting forced to attend them, with levi being a high ranking officer and you being his lieutenant - it was required that the two of you to be present in these parties.
you pulled down the hem of the rather revealing dress hange insisted that you wore in attempt to cover yourself up more. the colorful flashing lights in the dark ballroom making it almost impossible to see clearly yet you still feel exposed to everyone.
levi sat next to you, the scowl on his face never leaving since you arrived here with erwin, hange, and miche. you looked around the dance floor, trying to get a glimpse of the whereabouts of the three reckless and drunk superiors of yours but to no avail.
you shifted in your seat again, pulling down your dress even more and levi noticed.
"here" levi said, taking off the blazer jacket he was wearing and draped it around your shoulders. you nodded gratefully at him and pulled the ends together to cover yourself up more.
"tch. if only we're still in trost, we should've left a long time ago" levi grumbled beside you and you nodded in agreement - wanting to leave this party as much as he did.
"the carriage isn't picking us up in an hour or two and it'll be hard to find someone to take us back to trost now since it's pretty late" you said, grabbing the drink you had and taking a sip as levi simply sighed in defeat.
levi's arm snaked around your waist from under his jacket that you wore and pulled you closer to him protectively. there was a lot of merchants and noblemen invited to the said party and with most of them being drunk, he felt the need to look after you more.
"i'm gonna go to the bathroom for a minute" you said, standing up from your seat as levi looked at you.
"i'll come with you" levi offered as you smiled at him, leaning down to place a kiss on his lips.
"i'll be okay. besides, the bathrooms are just down the hall and erwin, hange, and miche's things over here can't be left unattended" you said, motioning to the scattered things on the seats of the booth you had.
levi hesitated for a second but nodded, he knew that you were more than capable to take down anyone that tries to come near you but still, he can't help but be protective over you.
"i'll be back" you said, leaning down to kiss his lips once more as you smiled at him. levi nodded and you headed down the hall to where the bathrooms are as he followed you with his eyes.
you wrapped levi's jacket around you even more and avoided eye contact with anyone you came across to prevent any unnecessary conversations and interactions from happening. you got to the bathroom, quickly doing your business, and washing your hands before leaving.
you were about to walk back to levi when an obviously drunken merchant came stumbling out of the men's bathroom. you kept your head down and walked a bit faster, wanting to get back to the table as fast as possible.
"hey pretty lady" the merchant slurred, you ignored him and walked even faster but he caught up to you. a surprised gasp left your lips when an arm shot out in front of you and you were pushed up against a wall.
"now that's not very nice of you to ignore someone while they're talking to you" the merchant said, his breath reeking with alcohol as your face scrunched up in disgust.
"please, get off of me" you said, trying to push him off of you but he wouldn't budge. the merchant laughed, inching his face towards you even more as you turned your face to the side in attempt to create more distance between you.
"oh wait, you're captain levi's girl aren't ya?" the merchant said as you stayed quiet, silently taking deep breaths to calm yourself down from the panic attack that was starting to build up.
"is he here with you? because if he's not then i'm sure we can have fun for a few hours. can't we, lieutenant y/n?" the merchant said, inching his face even closer as you can practically feel his breath fanning your face.
you closed your eyes, balling up your shaking hands as fear slowly started eating you up. you cursed yourself for letting it consume you but no matter how hard you try, you can't seem to get yourself to fight back.
"hey, look at me when i'm talking to you" the merchant said, raising his voice in an impatient manner. he lifted an arm, intending to grab you by the jaw and force you to look at him. you flinched and a small whimper escaped your lips in fear.
"oi! touch her, and you're dead" the sound of your lover's voice rang in your ears as you felt the merchant being ripped away from you. he stumbled to the ground, laughing drunkenly and raising his hands in defeat.
you hurriedly went over to levi, hiding behind his back as you grabbed onto his arm and held his hand to calm yourself down. levi immediately took notice of your shaking, subtly rubbing your hand to help calm you further.
"oh i'm sorry, captain. i didn't know you were here" the merchant said, laughing. you felt levi's hand ball up into a fist but you slightly pulled him back, silently telling him to leave it instead since you didn't want a bigger problem to occur.
"leave and stay away from her if you still want to see the light of tomorrow" levi snapped, squeezing your hand as you turned around and started walking away. levi followed you, keeping an arm around your waist as he walked a bit behind you just in case.
once you reached the table again, you were about to sit down but levi pulled you with him and headed to the exit instead. you were still too shaken up to say anything so you just let him pull you out of the ballroom.
levi led you to an empty alley and away from the public eye as you looked at him. your entire body was still trembling from fear and you kept your grip on levi's hand.
"are you okay?" levi asked, reaching a hand out to cup your cheek and you let him. you put a shaking hand on top of his, leaning into his touch and closing your eyes to let yourself feel safe.
"yeah, i'm okay-" you started but you choked on a sob, the tears you pushed back finally falling down your cheeks. levi pulled you in his arms, cradling the back of your head and tucking your face in his chest.
you fisted his shirt in your hands, sobbing uncontrollably in his embrace. levi held you tighter, kissing the top of your head and running his hand down your back to calm you down.
"breathe, i'm with you" levi instructed as you did as you were told and took shaky deep breaths. he took deep breaths with you as well and you used his steady breathing as a guide to keep yours back to a steady pace.
"one more" levi said and you both took one more deep breath. you calmed down within a few minutes but didn't make any effort to pull away from him.
"he didn't touch you, did he?" levi asked and you shook your head, resting your head on his chest and letting the sound of his heartbeat bring you into a further state of calm.
"no. you arrived just in time" you said and levi released a sigh of relief. he tightened his grip around you, kissing your forehead in reply.
the two of you stayed there for a few more minutes just holding each other. levi started swaying the both of you side to side to the faint sound of music playing from inside the building.
"where did y/n and shorty go? the carriage is gonna be here in a few minutes" you heard hange say from the entrance of the building, followed by erwin and miche asking the same thing.
levi looked at you, caressing your cheek as you nodded at him. he nodded once and gave you one more kiss on the forehead before grabbing your hand.
you let him lead you out of the alley as you walked towards the three drunk and stumbling superiors standing by the entrance. miche was the first to notice, exhaling through his nose and alerting erwin and hange of your presence.
"ah! there you two are, we've been looking everywhere for you. we thought you already left" erwin said, slightly slurring over his words but still conscious and decently functioning.
"tch. you were too busy grinding on each other on the dance floor that we left to get something to eat in the café down the street" levi said, motioning down the street. hange clapped her hands, seemingly buying into the lie levi told.
you squeezed his hand, silently thanking him for not telling them about the situation that happened. you will tell them maybe tomorrow when they’re sober enough to understand the story you’re gonna tell.
"oh well, the carriage is gonna be here in a few minutes" erwin said, levi simply nodded as the five of you waited by the curb for the carriage to arrive. the carriage pulled up in a few minutes as the three were the first to get in.
"woo!" hange cheered, practically diving onto the seat once the coach opened the door. erwin and miche laughed and got in after her, pulling her to an upright position on the seats.
you chuckled, getting in the carriage as levi shook his head disapprovingly before getting in after you. you sat across the three as they spewed out some non sense babbling before passing out the second the carriage started moving.
"tch. that is gonna be one hell of a mess to clean up" levi grumbled, looking at erwin, hange, and miche across the both of you. you nodded in reply and rested your head on his shoulder as he kissed your forehead.
"you can go to sleep if you're tired. i'll look after you" levi whispered once he noticed your eyelids slowly drooping shut. you looked up at him tiredly and nodded, placing a kiss at wherever your lips could reach.
"thank you. i love you" you mumbled tiredly, snuggling up closer to him. levi wrapped his arm around your waist and pulled you even closer. it didn't take you long until you fell asleep, letting your guard down as you knew that you will always be safe in levi's arms.
as promised, levi looked after you protectively the entire way back to headquarters. brushing the hair away from your face and pressing kisses on your forehead every now and then.
"i'm not gonna let anything bad happen to you. i love you, brat. goodnight"
