Okay, I'll do 3 since I also want to answer for SK8! First, BNHA!

My favorite characters are (and should be no surprise to anyone who has been following my blog long enough 😆)...

Miruko - hands down she easily became my favorite the moment she graced her presence in the story. She's the #5 Pro Hero who just hops around and kicks ass. She's a "no nonsense, let's get this done" character and I have to applaud Sakaya Kinoshita and Anairis Quiñoes for providing such great voices for her. Both women really put "I'm a badass and I know it" into voicing Miruko. There's also the fact that rabbits are one of my favorite animals.

Midoriya - He's unique to me. He has a range that I like. He could look like he couldn't hurt a fly and then the next he looks out for blood. His green curls and freckles are nice touches to his character. He's sweet, kind and has a sharp mind. But he's also stubborn, quick to anger, irrational. Out of all BNHA characters, he is the one I do relate to the most when it comes to having emotions. Again, I'm applauding voice actors here because Daiki Yamashita and Justin Briner bring Midoriya to life on the screen for me. I could not imagine any other voices but theirs for the sub and dub, I just can't.

Rock Lock - I'm giving Rock Lock love here because he just doesn't get enough of it. He's one of the few adult characters that really did bring up a good point about the kids in season 4 and yet does recognize their potential. He immediately gave me Dad vibes and I was right that he was indeed one. Which is another element to his character I love. He thinks about his family, he is really a softie. I love that for him. When he thought about making it back to his wife and son, I teared up a little. And I'll bring race into this for a bit because it is not often we do get Black characters in media with a softer side, let alone in media not created by Black people. So it was nice to see an actual family man with a job like his where it doesn’t affect said family in a bad way like Endeavor's does or even Captain Hero's in Vigilantes where he was having some martial problems. He's #1 Dad and husband in my book and I take no arguments on that. Also, anytime he talks I gotta to listen. Again, yes, voice actors, Yasuhiro Fujiwara and Gabe Kunda, love them. And his quirk, I actually love that quirk. It's a fun one.

Now for moments!!! Again, doing just three. And I'm sticking to just the anime here to avoid spoilers.

Ya'll already know I'm going to say the Miruko vs. High End Nomus fight. Out of all the fights in season 6, that is one of the best ones. Even leading up to her being Shigaraki's containment. I was actually surprised that made it on one of the recent Watchmojo anime videos for anime fights that caught the audience by surprise or something along those lines. Of course, not mad about it because oh my gosh, just watching her kick ass in a purple lit setting really just... I loved it so much.

I gotta bring up the dorm room episode here. It's one of the episodes I can rewatch and not get tired of it. There's so many funny moments in that episode and to be more specific my favorite scene is when they got to Tokoyami's room. From him trying to stop them from checking out his room, be overpowered because it was 2 to 1 and he is still fairly small (doesn't even have muscles until later) to the showcasing of the room. His room is my favorite. Gothic setting with black and purple lighting? Hell yes! I also love his "GEEEEET OOOOUT!" Don't blame him.

For the third one... hm... I have a lot of moments I like and I'll pick season 4 for this since not a whole of people talk about that season. And I'll choose... okay, when Eri finally smiled. That scene actually made me cry, did it. She's been through so much and all it took for her to smile was to see Midoriya on stage and have a fun time. Honestly, every time Eri smiles I want to or actually do cry. I did it in Mirio's flashback of his when she smiled at him in season 6. She's just so precious!

Now onto SK8 the Infinity! Starting with the characters which was hard to do because I do love them all as a whole.

Reki - he's literal sunshine who really has some great artistic skills. And out of all the characters, his design is my favorite out of everyone else's. I would wear his hoodies and I love how he wears many colors. He had a signature outfit, but he does change his clothes and his aesthetic is something I would wear. I am a sucker for colors and hoodies. Also, love hearing

Sketchy - Yes, that little pet is a favorite. He's just so freaking adorable??? Sassy little creature.

Nanako - Langa's mom is just so amazing. That woman really is just trying her best to be a good mom and you know she really does love her son and her late husband. She reminds me of Inko, Midoriya’s mom. Just a woman who has a kind heart and wants nothing but her son to be okay and safe.

And now for moments!!

The beach episode is overall is a favorite. I love that episode as a whole. It was a very funny episode... then episode 7 happened. I never thought the number 7 would betray me.

I really love that part where Reki and Langa were fixing skateboard, it's such a sweet moment.

The part in the epilogue with the Kyan family! As a big sister, it warmed my heart seeing another big bro Reki moment with the twins! IT WAS SO ADORABLE!!

→ QuelleVous posted a warning that multiple sources have said Gong Jun is going to be targetted by water armies in August in a similar fashion to 813. There are also warnings that a large attack on Zhang Zhehan and Zhang Mama will come at the end of this month. Brace yourselves. [an advisory on how to respond if this does happen]

→ Back to Field’s Weibo posted a submitted essay which included the Word of Honor quote “the world is not important, what’s important is finding a soulmate” (though written 知音 rather than 知己). The post was privated shortly after.

→ The Instagram posted three photos of “Zhang Zhehan” playing basketball. Caption: “Healing and flying 🏀” Shortly after, a 46 minute CCTV video was spread of the same event. [clip] [summary of the full video] Fans responded by posting content en masse of the real Zhang Zhehan playing basketball.  Fan Observations (also found in my Instagram masterpost):  -  Zhang Zhehan tore his meniscus and had to have 80% of it surgically removed in 2018, then had complications to it because he tried to rush his recovery. This is the reason he was forced to quit basketball. In April 2018 he said that an orthopedic specialist had told him his bones were not suited for vigorous exercise, and in March 2021 he said that he had accepted he had passed the point in time where it’s possible for him to recover fully. For these people to claim that he’s magically healed from that belittles what he has gone through and is frankly incredibly insulting.  -  Another interview from October 2020 talking about his injury in relation to sports  -  Medical report for an MRI scan posted by Zhang Zhehan in 2019: “Clinical history: Left knee ACL reconstruction ..., repeated swelling and pain.” “Findings: There is a medium sized joint effusion. A tiny Baker’s cyst ... is noted at the posteromedial aspects of the knee joint. The posterior horn of the lateral meniscus is absent likely resorbed secondary to previous tear. The body of the medial meniscus is extruded and atretic. Normal appearances of the medial and lateral meniscus are noted without tears, extrusion or degeneration. There is a short oblique tear at the body of the medial meniscus that extends as a horizontal tear in the posterior horn.”  -  Comment from a traumatologist  -  Testimonials from fans who also have limb disabilities: [1] [2] [3] [4]  -  To say nothing of the fact that he missed almost every shot, the imposter’s form in the video is horrible. The new tactic seems to be to give the impression that Zhang Zhehan is fooling around with friends rather than focusing on his case. Some people who believe this to really be him have already left out of frustration.

I’m no longer going to be directly linking the Instagram’s posts. At this point it is very clear the account is fake; if you’re still on the fence, you need to really think about what side you’re on. If you believe in the account, you’re agreeing that Zhang Zhehan has given up on his case, and you’re agreeing that Gong Jun is a bad person. Review everything that has happened if you need to, but continuing to individually consider each new piece of material these people put out will do nothing but gaslight you. Look at all of it in the complete context: It is fake.

Before we get started, just FYI, I went back to have a look at the red masked ghost guys gang scene with nuts guy in episode 1, and it’s finally confirmed that it's 100% Kissy Xing, because, now that i've been hearing his laughter for some eps, I can't not recognize it. Actually, he’s not just part of the ghost gang, he’s their boss. :O

Okay, so that is settled.

Let’s move on to episode 7:

Luo Mansion. What is that? Where is that? Who are these people? There's one with a joker grin, and several with weirdly upturned eyebrows and darkened lips. Are they from the ghost gang?

And why is everything red, is this a wedding?

There's a white haired woman with long golden fingernails and she's referred to as tragicomic ghost.

What I learned: The ghost gang enjoys torturing people. Kissy Xing is definitely nuts guy (well not learned from this episode, but I still learned it). I need the kid to return to his dads because I miss their interaction, as does he. There's a famous  thief wandering around and he stole Kissy Xing's fake Glazed Armor. The Heroes Conference is coming up.

Goals for future epsidoes: still to figure out how Kissy Xing and Baby Sushi know each other, understand the purpose and connections of the ghost gang and why Kissy Xing is part of them. Also, just generally, get to watch more smirklord interactions. ;)

GX Month Day 10

(September 9): Free Day/Introductions

Ready for Story time (in fear of sounding like a Youtuber)? Ok here is how I got into GX and my 3 favorite characters in the series...

So I was one of the many that grew up with Duel Monsters. I was like 8-9 y/o when my friends and I got into the hype of it, some friends of mine even played the card game with hand drawn cards because it was hard to come across the real thing in Latin America at the time. 

But I was never able to finish it and I dropped it. Until I was in college (seriously how many got back into their childhood likes in college), where I finished it in like a month and a half and left a hole in me after I finished. So the next logical step was to watch GX to keep myself going in the YGO train...

And I just couldn’t. 

It was just too different and I loved DM way too much. And the first few episodes of GX gave me a huge whiplash theme wise (fun fact: that’s happening to me rn and that’s why I am rewatching S3 of GX instead of watching 5Ds, I watched like 5 episodes and I’m still too attached to GX to enjoy it).

The fact that we get bombed by tons of fillers (including Judai dueling a freaking monkey) so early in season 1 was not helping. So after like 20 episodes or so I dropped it, not really convinced. That was like 3 years ago.

Fast forward to quarantine. I was going through my list of pending anime to watch and I came across Yu Gi Oh GX, and I decided to give it another go now that DM wasn’t so fresh on my emotions. And I had also read several comments saying that you had to get through season 1 and 2 because season 3 and 4 were spectacular and totally worth the watch. 

And so I started watching it and while I got into it thinking “okay I just want to get to season 3″ I found myself truly enjoying season 1 (at least after the never ending completely irrelevant fillers). People found Judai annoying and I have to say from what little I’ve heard of the dub, yeah he is annoying there. But in the sub I ended up really digging Judai’s carefree personality and how he just honestly loves dueling. 

My only point of comparison so far is DM and Judai’s attitude to dueling is such a contrast to Atem’s much more serious one (though both are great and fit their characters and storylines well). In fact, after seeing Judai in season 4 I seriously missed the carefree Judai of season 1 and 2, like it caused me pain to see how badly season 3 had broken this poor boy and made him harden beyond recognition. Thank God for BBT because we see that he is back to being a happy boy.

Then I got into season 2 and we got introduced to this magnificent being

Edo Phoenix started off as the character that made me roll my eyes because of how damn full of himself he was, smugly beating the living daylights out of Judai and Ryo (so bad both of them experience a full on trauma induced breakdown, seriously). But he just grew on me as he started drifting away from Saio a bit and we learn of his tragic backstory with his dad and DD (and when he nonchalantly cut off Judai’s fishing line after he caught his steak I swear to God I laughed out loud in public because of it). 

And then he showed up again season 3 all of a sudden and he got grouped with Ryo and the power vibes were off the roof (like that scene of them defeating those Supreme King’s minions with Cyber End and Plasma #iconic). And he got some nice character growth, saying he was helping Judai fins Johan because Judai had saved Saio before. And then him dueling Amon (that piece of s***) to save Echo...thanks season 3 for killing off my child.

Forever salty that the last we see of Edo is him getting punched by Ojama Yellow

BUT in season 3 we got introduced to this man right here

And I never looked back. This person, this lovely Crystal Boy is my favorite boy forever and after 5 min of knowing him I knew that would be the character I would lose my shit over in these series.

I just love everything about Johan, his bond with the Crystal Beasts, his natural sense of leadership, his resolve to become a bridge between humans and spirits. But most of all, how he is the first true friend Judai has IMO. Johan sees Judai as an absolute equal, and in the span of a few episodes he develops a much more deeper bond with him than most (if not all) of his other friends in 2 seasons. I feel like, if Judai represents the Gentle Darkness, Johan is his Light counterpart (like Darkness and the Light of the Destruction...but good), that’s why they are so similar. My dream is that they would have explored this had season 4 not been cut short, maybe Johan was also a reincarnation seeing as he and Judai felt they had known each other before.

I think it was absolute BS that he wasn’t around for most of season 4 considering he was the catalyst for the second half of season 3 (wth s4 writing team). But at least he came back to duel Fujiwara with Judai and he made him laugh for the first time in like 50 episodes (everyone say thank you, Johan). It was in the middle of a duel to save Humanity but who cares those two children were having fun teasing Darkness. 

Well anyways, Judai, Edo and Johan are my boys. I love them a lot so please love them too. And love GX because half the flake it gets is undeserved tbh.

Yeah, I casually pick up words so I'm sure if I actually hung out with people and talked to them irl I'd pick up more slang words- (for example two of my friends say pog a lot and I'm like that weird looks fun?? but it's hard to incorporate a word you rarely hear--) also y e s I picked up sus so damn quick XD I got nervous anytime I said it around my family cause I felt antsy that I'd get made fun of- ;w;

Also sorry for not sending an ask for so long, today's been l o n g so it took me a while to get to it ;w;

BAHAHA YEAHH IDK WHAT KINDA KID I WAS- i was jus like "yknow what- IMA START A YOUTUBE CHANNEL" i stopped years ago- somehow i have gained 200 subs or smth between those years- w h a t- xDD

and omg- saying slang might be easy cause my parents will have NOOO clue what im talkjng about ( NOT THAT THEY WOULD HAVE IN THE FIRST PLACE-) XD

and OMGGG i also pick up so many words from my friends- thats also why i keep saying "pog" "poggers" "pog champ"- its awesome XDDD

and omg- that also reminds me of dumb inside jokes with my friends- NO WONDER MY HUMOR is so off- xDDD an inside joke i know of is "poopeeweewee" WHEHEHEHZE (and surprisingly- that joke has a lot of context behind it XDD)

and oh dont worry! i also have been taking longer than usual answering this cause gosh- this week has been a lottttt for me- xDD but today my relatives left my house so i hope things can come back to normal for me and i can FINALLY speak FREELY xD

I'm gonna start watching The Boyz 'Flower Snack' & thought it would be nice to post my thoughts during the episodes, mostly because I'm barely 15min in & this is already too funny

So here we go!

Episode 1.

• I love the concept of them running a snack show instead of this being a survival show or something like that, this feels more entertaining and fun

• I can believe so many people seem to knew about them since predebut but they don't have as much recognition on Korea :(

• Kevin looks a lot different in predebut as now, but he's still baby

• Their dorm looks so clean wtf normally bg dorms are messy but theirs look organized

• Also I still cant believe all 12 of them lived/live in the same apartment what the hell

• Ngl I'm trying not to get attached to Hwall to save a heartbreak but he's too cute :c

• Can't believe Hyuksoo is really going to help them running the snack bar, how did the company get him to that xd

•+ Younghoon not even realizing a deadass complete man was sitting on their couch HOW DID HE NOT SEE HIM??

• The fact that it took them a while to even see there was a grown ass man on their living takes me out aksksks

• Also Juyeon going straight for a hug with Hyuksoo was really cute, he was very excited (*´ω｀*)

• Them saying Sangyeon is a good leader and showing how he leads them doing the breakfast was really nice uwu

• The fact that they apologized because they had almost no food for Hyuksoo 😭😭

• WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED WITH THEIR RICE COOKER? THEY HID IT SO FAST lmao

• I'm laughing at them having expired sauce as if that wasn't me living by my own eye

• but seriously Jacob gasp when he noticed the sauce went bad & the windows system shutting down sound effect KSKSKS

• HOW do they have a TWO years expired sauce in their fridge

• Kevin & Juyeon actually went to the supermarket why is that so funny to me

• Juyeon was looking so fine since predebut,,, love that men

• also Juyeon being excited about Hyuksoo he's babie pls

• what the fuck, the anus part sounds so wrong 🤡

• like,,, they knew what they were doing with the edit

• They were so confused at the containers, homeboys had no idea what the fuck they were doing there

• didn't they just ate?? why are they feeding them more food couldn't just tell them straight up

•Haknyeon is so effortless funny

• Their faces when Hyuksoo told them that they were going to sell food: 👁️👄👁️

•Younghoon & Chanhee asking if they're going to draw blood from them,, I'm soft

•They were so scared when they draw blood out of them aksks pwease, babies

• Jacob asking if the can know what his blood type is, boy how did you NOT know your blood type

• wait he did explain one second later

• Apparently in Canada they don't tell you what your blood type is, so neither him or his parents knew,, dude wth

• They guessing what its his blood type was so endearing

• btw he's type B everybody

• also they were talking about blood types the way some people talk of zodiac signs, like if it's meant to reveal something about your personality xd

• IM CRINGING SO BAD AT THE HOSPITAL PART

• they legit didn't have to show us the anus part that was so awkward to watch aksksks

• I'm never getting over this

• Chanhee dropping the q-tip on the toilet and having to go look for a new one 🗿🗿

• why do I feel Sangyeon, Hyunjae & Eric are gonna pull out a prank on the rest

• Juyeon telling them to go on without him ;(( noo

And that's it on Episode 1!

At first I wanted to do just episode one today because they're pretty long but I'm deadass intrigued by their cliffhanger so I'm going to watch the beginning of episode 2 🤡

Episode 2!

• okay that intro of them doing the mannequin challenge was cute

• okay but they telling Juyeon he's infected was really mean, like that wasn't funny he honestly looked concerned

• Juyeon thought he was sick but he still didn't want to slow the boys down ;(

• Everybody saying they had to do it together 😭

• Sunwoo saying he was more worried about Juyeon than the restaurant (╥﹏╥)

• dude i was this closed to actually start crying

• Kevin looking that shit up as the INTELLIGENT, SMART men that he is, love his two braincells

• I knew it was a prank

• lmao Sangyeon deadass said: let's give Juyeon a heart attack today

• i hate them for choosing Juyeon

• They chose him because he trust everything very easily,,, the way my heart broke

• they didn't need it to drag it up for so long why are they like this

• Sunwoo was so worried ☹️

• Juyeon was really worried about himself and yet the laughed so hard when they told him it was a prank

• Sangyeon went as far as fake crying & Hyunjae was so mean, these men's are savages

• Sunwoo getting mad and defensive for Juyeon, we love that

• Sangyeon said the he actually cried because he thought "what if one of us gets sick?", he stayed days studying how to open a restaurant and talking notes, he took tests about it, he took charge of the certifications for the restaurant. I'm so proud of him as a leader, it's never an easy job but he works hard and takes care of the boyz, he's such a great leader 💜

That's all I'm going to watch for now ❤️

I'm not really hoping for anyone to read this long ass post, I just wanted to had my thoughts about the show in some place so I can look back at them sometime.

We’re skipping a few episodes, so now we’re on episode 10! Let’s get right into it.

Does... Does Chronos make a habit of randomly screaming to himself in the halls?

"You'll fall to Ra Yellow" Wth is with this school's ranking system? How competitive IS it? Is their dorm determined by GPA with duels being graded? Can only a certain percentage be in Blue? Is that why he falls to Ra Yellow even though he only failed one duel?

...Huh... I never noticed how much Asuka looks like a female Joey until now... Not super important, just a random thought I had...

Shou and Juudai's relationship is so cute, even if Juudai took a while to see himself as a big brother! I'd love to see more of it.

Awww, did you see that blush! Shou is so happy to have his aniki's attention I'm dying!

Honestly, what was with all the fat jokes in the english dub about Hayato? There aren't any in the sub, so its not like they can use a translation issue to explain it away!

This principal literally doesn't care about anything except how excited and energetic Juudai is and how much fun something is to watch. And honestly?Same.

My god. After all these years, those brothers are still using the same freaking cards they used against Yugi.

Juudai, your confidence is inspiring and I love that you're actively remembering to encourage Shou.

...I swear to god if Ryou gets on Shou's case for that I will personally hunt him down myself.

  The 48 by Donna Hosie:   I know the publication date on this is a little bit aways but Edelweiss offered me this book and it’s different from what I usually read so I thought I’d give it ago. The thing is, IT EXPIRES IN LIKE A WEEK! Wth!? So now it’s been bumped up as my next read! I better like this! lol  – This book is about the Tudor court, which actually interests me quite a bit! I love history and the way of the Royals back-then. Have any of you seen The Crown on Netflix, or Reign about Mary Queen of Scots?! I love that shit! The Other Boleyn Girl was also decently good and I know a bit about the Tudors so this should be fun!

Vox by Christina Dalcher:  In this story, set in an alternative America, women are only allowed a certain number of words they are allowed to speak. So one women must decide how far she’ll go to protect herself and her daughter. – Wow. This sounds soo good! I’m pretty sure I’m going to like this one. These types of books are always so scary good to read because it’s a very terrifying realization of how close it sometimes feels America is to becoming something awful.

Ignite the Stars by Maura Milan: So I believe this was originally described as “Throne of Glass in space” on Goodreads but it’s been taken down. Now, I’ll admit this does put me off because the whole time I’m reading this I am going to be comparing the two and LOOKING for similarities! I can feel it. So that sucks, but I will still give this a shot – though it might not be a fair one – considering that description is in my head. Now, do I still need to explain the plot line? A young female is a criminal mastermind – and everyone thinks she is a he- is captured by the Olympus Commonwealth and is then trapped into its military academy where unexpected bonds being to form. OH GOSH

People Kill People by Ellen Hopkins:  Now I’ve been a fan of Hopkins for years! I love her verse style writing, it’s pure brilliance. Though some of her books are a bit difficult to read and it is (mostly) done right, I am pretty confident in this. This story revolves around a gun and the different purposes it is needed for by six different people. Most of her books have the characters connected in some way. This is going to be crazy!

I Do Not Trust You by Laura J. Burns and Melinda Metz: I was asked to review this for a Blog Tour! And naturally as an up-coming blogger I jumped at the chance! Yay! Plus it sounds pretty interesting! This is a race against time book, “M” must save her father who she thought was dead! Dun-dun-dun dunnnnnnnn.

  CatWoman: SoulStealer by Sarah J. Maas: After escaping Gotham City’s slums, Selina Kyle reinvents herself as the mysterious and fabulously wealthy Holly Vanderhees in this exhilarating take on DC Comics’ Catwoman. I CANNOT wait for this! I will have to though since I’m getting it in a sub box. BUT I did read an excerpt a while back and does anyone else get ToG/Aelin vibes? It might just be the name, what a coincidence.

Mirage by Somaiya Daud: A brutal empire rules the star system, but poet Amani lives a peaceful life on an isolated moon—until she’s kidnapped and forced to work for the cruel Princess Maram. I have been reading nothing but great things about this and I’m honestly sooooo excited to read this! YA needs more diversity so I’m always more than glad to read something actually different! I love exploring different cultures, I know this will be a favorite!

Dance of Thieves by Mary E. Pearson: Kazi was a legendary street thief; now she’s reformed. On a secret mission for the queen, she matches wits with a dangerous leader of an outlaw dynasty. So I haven’t heard too much about this one but I remember it sounding pretty interesting lol! So why not add it on here, right?

Now, I am hoping and certainly going to try to make it though most of these! Guess we’ll see at the end of the month!
