dps boys hcs! this has been requested of me! lets make it modern bc thatll be fun

- todd absolutely DESPISES "booktok" and its addiction to smut. can go on a VERY long rant abt how only reading things with sex scenes is, in fact, a porn addiction.

- knox has tried on many occasions to become an influencer, failing every single time and blaming it on the algorithm or whaver

- neil, type of mother fucker to not be on social media like at all. has one private instagram that he posts on maybe twice a year, and has a tiktok only to watch the videos todd intermittently sends him.

- ^^^ followed immediately by a text saying "i sent you a tiktok go look at it" which always sparks a mini argument about whether or not its easier to just save the video and text it to him. goes nowhere every time.

- meeks has fashion taste that makes him look insufferable, band tee's and the worst jeans you ever did see, exclusively. also modern meeks would have clear glasses frames.

- saw someone say charlie would vape, id like to add to that. has a COLLECTION of elf bars, its vast, its colourful, it's annoying, it's turning his coughs wet.

- pitts was a fast fashion guy for a total of 6 months before finding out all the shit about how unethical the industry is. didnt get rid of any of those clothes bc thats wasteful but he IS fighting for his life whenever anyone looks at his wardrobe.

- cameron is a BIG analog horror fan, local 58, walten files, fnaf tapes, thats his jam. can we popularise cam being a big horror fan in general bc im so attached to that hc. horror cam i love u.

- all the boys have a life360 circle (enforced by cam and pitts due to charlie's horrendous reckless driving) and todd CONSTANTLY needs to be yelled at the charge his phone.

- neil's phone is ANCIENT, had the same one for nearly a decade, and its evident. has a bigass crack right down the middle, the back is shattered and held together with tape, a phone case, and a dream. theres marks from shit burning into the screen, most notably a rectangle in the bottom corner from the billions of facetime calls with todd that ultimately set his phone on fire every time.

- todd is secretly a grade A yapper but ONLY in digital form. his online presence is VAST, but impressively anonymous. has a very active substack, letterboxd, poetry tumblr, and even started his own blog. no, not a tumblr blog, a blog blog.

- charlie's car is decked out in the most idiotic add ons that you can think of. comically large mirror dice, a bumper sticker that says "honk if you want me bad", stupid car door lights that project a photo of jimmy fallon onto the ground when u open them, the whole 9 yards. took neil, pitts, and cameron 20 minutes to talk him out of getting flame decals (as a bit.)

- knox refuses to play any other videogame besides GTA, which he plays concerningly often. if ur having trouble reaching him then odds are hes on GTA. its the only hobby of his that his parents know about. christmas is tough for the overstreets.

- meeks is well aware of his general ☝️🤓 demeanour so he started making jokes about it before anyone else can. any time he says anything remotely smart sounding then he MUST do the voice and put up a finger. it became a force of habit and he did it while talking to a teacher once, he left the room mortified.

- pittsie lives on spotify, he has a playlist for every possible emotion, over 3k liked songs, and 200k+ minutes listened when wrapped season rolls around. additionally he does every spotify stat game available, and forced the boys to download a spotify activity widget thing. (WHAT DO YALL KNOW ABT AIRBUDS ‼️‼️ add me @ monahatesya xoxo)

- cam loves to make jokes about DARE and the "this is ur brain on drugs" ads but he is, in fact, the main demographic of said ads. said this before, saying it now, will most definitely say it again, he is beyond susceptible to peer pressure. marijuana isnt a gateway drug for everyone but it certainly is for him.

- chris is avoiding the lesbian masterdoc purely out of fear. not out of fear of being gay, but out of fear of the sheer amount of subsequent other things she'll likely also have to find out about herself.

- keating spends an inordinate amount of time on youtube, which nobody actually expects. big video essay fan, imagine the shock from the boys when he pulls up youtube for a lesson and he's halfway thru the 4 hour iBinged iCarly video. was previously a james somerton fan but considering... the james somerton part.. hes now a defunctland loyalist.

Like first you kill her mom (JULIA NOOO) and erase her YEARS of history growing up around diana (the thing that actually made her villain turn [if you can call it that w the level of manipulation involved] interesting and fucking heartbreaking) for some shitty "oh I saved you we were friends" run of the mill whatever. Then to use that and say Nessie had a crush on her OWN SISTER (Diana, so like informally adopted, but still 😡) now????

And then they took away her curls and made her a redhead but not even the realistic kind. DC SHE DOESNT LOOK LIKE THAT

It just makes me so mad. Freaking guys. They could have used another name like oh my god. this might be kind of a niche complaint, but this is the niche complaints website so im allowed!!!!

i hate it when im consuming a piece of media that has astoryline where a character is dealing with the sudden, seemingly-inexplicable suicide of a loved one, and then TWIST the reason it seemed inexplicable is because they DIDNT kill themselves!!! it was a MURDER!!!!

look. suicide is not a rational action. why someone would choose to take their own life doesn't always make sense from the outside!! someone who seems to have everything going for them could be dealing with stuff you have no idea about. they could have been struggling with their mental health for years, they could have suddenly gotten some bad news, they could have had a really bad drug trip... sometimes you can understand why someone would want to end their life, but sometimes you'll never know why someone did what they did. that's part of why it's a tragedy.

so it always sucks ass when I think something is doing a really interesting and nuanced and sincere depiction of the aftermath of someone's suicide, and then it goes PSYCHE!!!!!!!! people only kill themselves for really good reasons, OBVIOUSLY!!!! the fact that you can't understand why they would do this is proof that they didn't!!!!!!

like... why'd you threaten to do something interesting, and then the twist is that actually, it's boring? it just sucks. why'd you waste my time

luffy trying to free himself even if it meant ripping his own hands, from the book prison on the whole cake island - really gave off the same energy as zoro trying to cut his legs off to free himself from being made into a candle statue on the little garden island, all those arcs before

and poor nami had to be there both times to see those idiots do this to themselves askjsd

(and fortunately, both times they were saved before they managed to actually cut the limbs)

(the zoro on little garden when luffy asks about the danger and he asnwers "no, no problem here." is kind of similar to the thriller bark's "nothing happened." ;-; something something strength for luffy, no weaknesses shown huh.. i wonder if there will ever be a follow up or consequences about this type of behavior sometime maybe even more later.. )

this part about both luffy and zoro acting in such similar way when captured that they would rather sever their limbs than to stay in that place - even if they were nowhere near each other at the moment, but have this type of same thinking woven into their being -

it reminded me of the time on fishman island when nami was also the only one present both times when luffy and zoro (separately) talked about how they didn't want to be heroes, because heroes had to share food/booze:

they really share the same braincell!!

(one more comparison- there's something similar about the cutting their own limb to protect something precious to them, to free themselves, just like kyros did in dressrosa flashbacks when he went up against doflamingo, ch 742, 776,. when even though he sacrificed the leg- it allowed him to fight even without it later on.)

(and last point - there's also something about this theme of losing limbs to protect something - when sanji had the handcuffs threatening to explode if he left the whole cake island, but i'm not at the end of that arc yet, so I'm not sure if it comes up again except his sister telling him they were fake, but still even before - he was trully terrified to risk it - both for his hands bc they cook for luffy(!!his captain) and for strawhats, but all the other threats he had to think about! truly what an intense and complicated arc!)

Apparently. I left the ac on yesterday. Even thiugh i DEFINITELY remember turning it off. And noe theres condensation on the glass. And i cant wipe it off bc id have to push everything back and close the door. So for now i turned the ac off (DEFINITELY) and im praying it will disappear. Also my fucking number is still not registering properly in the system. And im still tired as HELL from yesterday. :D

#personal #7.5 hours left...........#good news sonce the beginning of typing this post is that i think thaytnow that the ac is off the condensation is starting to disappear #hoping for the best #or at least for the mildly good #or maybe even just okay #my plan is to do the bare fucking minimum today #which is kind of unfair to the person at the shift after mine bc if im missing stuff that matter she's gonna have to do it all herself #but im not even sure as it is i did the stuff i was supposed to do correctly yesterday #the struggle is endless #edit: oh also!! yesterday i counted 12~ missing shekels and i was tired and on the verge of panicking so to be quick i just took it out of #my own fucking wallet #which in retrospect was stupid as fuck #but thing is i was supposed to count again since there was such a gap and just the thought made me wanna cry #so i didnt know if i even counted correctly #and thing is‚ if i really made a mistake #then it would still be relevant today bc then thered be an incorrect anount of cash in the register #but there isnt! which means i did count correctly. so there's at least that #thing is also that there isnt usually such a big gap #only on days when one specific person has a shiftಠ ೧ ಠ #so i guess that's comforting? at least i can assume im generally competent at that

You sighed as you slammed your car door, the exhaustion from training having affected you more than normal. Perhaps it was because your mind was busy racing with thoughts of your ex-girlfriend and how upset you were with her rather than football. Entering the lobby of your building, too engrossed in responding to a text message from Patri to see you weren’t the only person waiting for the elevator.

“Tienes que estar bromeando. (you got to be kidding me.)” you heard a familiar voice huff as the elevator arrived.

You glanced up from your phone, coming face to face with the person who's been clouding your thoughts. You rolled your eyes at the midfielder, moments like these are the downfalls of living in the same building as Alexia.

You ignored her comment as you both entered the elevator, hitting your respective floor numbers. The two of you stood as far away as you could in the enclosed space, both still too pissed at the other to even make small talk about training or the upcoming weekend game.

The elevator made it seven floors from the lobby before you felt it jerk and halt in its place. The lights flickered off before coming back on. You and Alexia shared a concerned glance as you both realized the elevator got stuck. Of course, you would get stuck in an elevator with your ex-girlfriend who refused to even talk to you after the breakup.

“ay dios mío. (oh my god.)” you heard the blonde mumbled, irritation laced her words.

You mocked her words quietly already over your current predicament. From the corner of your eye, you saw Alexia look your way, anger written all over her face.

“¿Tiene usted un problema? (do you have a problem?)” Alexia growled, not wanting to be here anymore than you do.

“Sí, estoy atrapada aquí contigo. (yeah, I'm stuck in here with you.)” You responded, your words coming out harsher than you meant, but you didn’t care how they affected Alexia.

The two of you have yet to have any sort of conversation post break-up unless it was on the pitch, but even then it was never more than what was needed. Alexia wouldn’t give you a chance to ask why she had broken up with you, which just added to your anger towards the captain. Alexia had decided to break up with you on what seemed like a whim, ending the two-year relationship like it meant nothing to her.

Alexia didnt respond, instead making an effort to call the lobby to let them know the elevator was stuck. The quicker it gets moving again, the quicker she can get away from you. She knew it wasn’t fair to at least give you an explanation for breaking up with you, but even she knew her answer would be stupid. Alexia was nervous about people potentially finding out about your relationship and thought the best thing to do was just end the relationship. She knew it was dumb but she couldn’t tell you that. Instead, she let you hate her.

You, in your best effort to ignore the blonde, went back to the conversation you were having Patri. It wasn’t helping though, hearing Alexia angrily talk to the man on the other end of the phone was doing something to you. You hadn't been with anyone since the breakup and it was starting to mess with you. Maybe had you taken Ona’s advice of hooking up with someone one time, you wouldn't be so affected by your ex-girlfriend.

Alexia huffed as she hung up, clearly in a worse mood after the call. You tried to keep your eyes locked on your phone and not Alexia’s clenched jaw. You gave her a good two minutes, thinking she would at least tell you what was said, but it never came.

“Well?” you broke the silence, seeing as the midfielder was not going to.

Alexia turned her head slightly towards you, an eyebrow raised as if she wasn't expecting you to speak, almost as if she had forgotten you were also stuck in the elevator.

“Están trabajando en eso. No saben cuándo se solucionará. (they are working on it. they do not know when it will be fixed.)” the blonde stated, the anger ever present in her voice. You roll your eyes, though not directed at her but at the lack of information surrounding your situation.

“Si sigues haciendo eso, se quedarán atascados. (if you keep doing that, they will get stuck.)” Alexia chastised, eyes focused on the door of the elevator.

“¿Te importaría? (would you care?)” you shot back, irritation starting to grow the longer you stand in the unmoving elevator.

“Y/N…” the blonde groaned, knowing that the two of you could go on for days arguing with each other.

look, im not even gonna be nice with it, i definitely dont see kenma being excited at the idea of having a kid 😭

"Sera, listen! I'm begging you! You can't just take it like this and let it continue!"

You followed the woman down the hallway. The meeting went badly, the angels couldn't hear Charlie.Your voice was slightly strained, you were on the verge of a breakdown. A little more and you would feel tears flowing down your cheeks. You learned the terrible truth that it turns out that demons are regularly exterminated. This is brutal. Even for demons. "That's enough, I don't want to hear anything more." The seraphim said, not even caring enough to look at you. "But Sera-"

"ENOUGH."

Sera suddenly stopped walking and turned to face you. Her wings opened behind her. Her face was full of annoyance. You were slightly taken aback. Tears flowed down your cheeks. “But why... This is not right... We, angels... are worse than demons...”

“You are forgetting your place. Don’t repeat this mistake, otherwise the same thing will happen to you as Lucifer.” Her voice echoed in the corridor. You looked down at the floor. Yes, you were an archangel, but your words did not carry as much weight as Sera’s words.You just had to agree with Sera's words "Yes, forgive me, it won't happen again..."

“I really hope so...Now, if you'll excuse me, I have things to do. I'm busy. I hope you understand that." Without waiting for your answer, the woman turned around and walked away down the corridor.Your shoulders trembled slightly. You sobbed. You quickly headed towards your room, not wanting anyone to see you.

Slamming the door behind you, you rushed to the bed and collapsed face down. You began to cry. Hot, salty tears soaked into your bed, leaving a wet spot. You felt bad. It hurt from understanding that even the angels don’t know how to get to heaven, it hurts that they don't want to give people a second chance. Well, not everyone deserves it, but many do.

Several hours passed. All this time you cried quietly, hiding your head in the bedspread.Having found a little strength within yourself, you rose slightly and sat up on the bed. Still sobbing, you wiped away your tears. No, you can’t do that. You can’t just suffer. You can’t pave the way with suffering alone, you’ll only go deeper into the darkness.

You spent the rest of the day in your room thinking about how to act more wisely... You wanted justice, but the limitations of actions were suffocating you. You could give up on expulsion and still stand in your position... But they still might not hear you. Looking at your reflection in a cup of tea, you thought what would happen if they didn’t understand you. You will be expelled just like Lucifer.. Lucifer, oh, how you miss him. You would give anything to see him again. Hear his laughter, see his warm eyes..You sighed and continued drinking tea.

What are you without these wings? Nobody. In hell, you are no one. Absolutely no one. You were afraid of this. No matter how close you were to the idea of giving up on everything and continuing to stand your ground, you understood how stupid it would be. What if Lucifer forgot you? What if he doesn't want to see you? Then you will rot in this hell like a lost soul.But still, it is the only solution...

"Do you think...Demons can be redeemed?" The guy said looking into the distance. The wind played with his hair and the sun made his hair shine. The girl looked at his face without taking her eyes off. She was hypnotized by his beauty.

“Probably...I'm not sure..” The girl said quietly, as if in a whisper.The man smiled. "I don’t know either. But you know..." He turned his head to look at the girl. "I hope... No, I believe. I believe that sinners can be redeemed. Everyone should have the right to a second chance..." The girl smiled too. "I agree with you."

When Lucifer opened his eyes, he felt wet traces of tears on his face. He cried. He cried in his sleep seeing you there.

"y/n..."

He sighed and got out of bed. Somehow putting on his clothes, he went out onto the balcony. He had no strength. No, he didn’t want to sleep, but his body felt so heavy... He raised his head to the sky... Red the sky of hell in which heaven is slightly visible. Oh, how he wanted to know what was wrong with you... How is your life. He would give anything to see you again...
