I’m SO SO happy I found these! I was going through my old Photobucket which goes back like a decade or more. And, I found these photos of the first Black model featured on the cover of Gothic Beauty magazine. It meant so much to me when this came out! I’ve been searching the net looking for photos of her and I couldn’t find anything.

Just read a lovely @gothiccharmschool post about putting the "creature" back in "creature of darkness" and was inspired to post this no-makeup pajama selfie. #ThisIsGoth #CreatureOfDarkness
One of the things that I've always loved about Gothic goth aesthetics is being Fancy without having to be pretty or feminine or pleasing to anyone but myself. And another thing I love is that when 90% of your wardrobe is black you can feel badass even in your lounge wear.

“Kareho Koe” by TIKAHIRI
Tikahiri was created by two brothers Aroma and Mano Salmon who were born and raised on a small atoll in the Tuamotu archipelago.  They developed their own style, dubbed “Paumotu Goth”, because they sing lyrics written in Pa’umotu (the native language of Tahiti). Their first concerts in the 90’s were banned and picketed by the local churches.
