A/N: Requests from two anons! Have fun with this one, I went to Winter Wonderland in London a few days back and I was like… yeah. Imagine the fun you’d have with Loki there. I mean… that man could be a goofball if only you let him, fight me!
Words: 2244 Warnings: pure winter fluff at its finest
“Alright people, let’s go!” You drew the word out, rubbing your gloved hands together with a happy grin. Christmas was by far your favourite time of the year and this time, you had convinced Thor, Tony, Natasha and Bruce and, get this, Loki himself, to join you at the local Christmas fair. You’d drag them through the whole program: mulled wine, shopping for overpriced Christmas gifts, making them try typical Christmas market food and having them play those dovetailed games where you could win giant teddy bears. Perhaps they’d actually win given they were literal superheroes.
“You are not dressed warmly enough,” Loki said matter-of-factly. With a frown, he stared you up and down, eyeing your winter jacket and lack of a scarf. Your gloves were rather thin too but they would do the job.
“Oh, I’m fine, I don’t get cold that easily. We’ll be near lots of fireplaces and the mulled wine’s gonna give me that extra warmth kick!”
Loki didn’t seem too convinced but he let it slide. To be fair, you were surprised he cared in the first place. Ever since his arrival on Earth, he’d made it very clear he didn’t wish to be here. The Avengers’ hostility didn’t exactly help. You doubted they would still become friends but at least they weren’t trying to rip each other’s throats out anymore. That was a Christmassy step in the right direction, right?
“And where is your scarf?” He continued.
“Yeah, the one I had kind of ripped and I can’t find the other one. I’ll buy a new one at the market, I’ll be fine.”
“Very well…” Loki gave you a barely noticeable nod. When you looked up, you met Thor’s rather confused face. Not just you, buddy.
-
“Where to first?” Natasha asked. You could tell she was trying her best to not sound too interested in this trip but to be fair, even she was unable to hide her excitement. You grinned.
“Let’s take a stroll and get some mulled wine. Look, they should even have a stall with hot mead somewhere, let’s find it.”
“Hot mead? Viking mead?” Thor tossed in. You nodded, almost bumping into Loki who magically appeared beside you. He had had a point. It was cold. You desperately needed the mulled wine you promised them to keep yourself warm in those thin gloves and non-existent scarf.
The mulled wine stalls were all located right next to each other, with a bunch of fur-covered benches and small bonfires scattered in front of them. Perfect. You pointed at the stall you had mentioned.
“There! ‘Viking Blood’! Sounds promising! I’m gonna get a regular mulled wine though. How many?” Natasha and Bruce had already approached one of the stalls. You shook your head in an amused manner. You’d let those two lovebirds be.
“I’m gonna try the ‘Viking Blood’!” Thor exclaimed loudly. Several people turned their heads, some of them in awe at seeing the God of Thunder at a Christmas market. Loki elicited a similar reaction from people—only they were mainly afraid of what he’d do if they stared at him for too long.
Loki let out a sigh, his breath turning into fog in the cold air. “So will I…”
The good thing about being friends with a millionaire like Tony Stark was that he didn’t give a shit about the money he spent. Two minutes later, the four of you sat down on one of the benches in front of a fire, sipping on your mulled wine and mead.
“How does it taste?” You asked. Thor grinned.
“Reminds me of home. Right, brother?”
Loki nodded. “It is drinkable… for a human-brewed mead anyway.”
“Yeah, he likes it,” Thor said directed at you. You chuckled.
“Let me try. Here, you can take a sip of mine.” Without waiting for his response, you took his paper cup from him and handed him yours. The mead was sweet, tasted like molten honey… in the meantime, Loki took a sip of yours.
“Not bad,” he said. “So is this the point of Christmas markets then? People meet to sit around a fire and drink?”
“Partially,” you responded as you swapped your drinks back, chuckling once more.
“Well, it seems Yule has not changed all too much then, Thor.”
“They still have Christmas trees too!”
Tony raised his eyebrows. “What? What about them?”
“Traditionally, pagan folk would decorate trees with offerings for their gods—for us,” Loki explained. There was an arrogant tone swinging in his voice. You blushed. You hated to admit it sounded rather hot. You took another sip from your mulled wine, enjoying the way it burned down your throat, warming you up from the inside out.
“Right…”
“New religions robbed the pagans of their traditions and turned them into Christian ideals,” he continued.
“Does that mean Odin is Santa Clause then?” Tony asked. You laughed.
“I very much doubt that.”
“Only mortals would fantasise about an overweight man with a long beard breaking into houses through the chimney of all places to leave presents.”
“So you do know what Christmas is about, Reindeer Games.”
Loki sighed and let his gaze wander over the other stalls nearby. There was one in particular he tilted his head at. Raising his eyebrows, he watched a few guests throw balls at metal cans positioned at various places inside the stall to win cute plush toys.
“What are they doing?” He asked, pointing at them.
“It’s a gamble, really. You pay money for a certain number of balls and the more cans you knock off the shelves, the higher the price you win will be. If you miss all of them, you get nothing and lose your money.”
“That sounds too easy.”
“It isn’t. Most of the games are dovetailed, making it super hard to actually win.” Loki gave you an incredulous look that said about as much as challenge accepted. Without another word, he stood, mulled mead still in hand, and marched over to the stall.
You followed suit. Now that you wanted to see.
“You think it’s a good idea to wander around alone with Loki?” Tony asked before you were out of earshot. You shrugged your shoulders in response. You very much doubted he would hurt you. You had given him no reason to do so, after all, and you refused to believe he was “evil”.
Loki handed the stall owner the coins Tony had handed out to you all earlier for this exact purpose, who accepted them with shaking fingers. You pressed your lips together, stifling a laugh while the God of Mischief inspected the cans positioned at different spots. He weighed the first ball in his hand after setting his mulled mead aside, then he threw. The first can got knocked off the shelf immediately. Well… you expected nothing less from a god who threw daggers in fights.
Another ball followed, then another and another. Loki hit every single time, much to the dismay of the stall owner. You could tell he was about to complain that it was unfair that a god would try and cheat the game but you had to admit, Loki won fairly.
“That’s a full house, as I like to call it. You can pick one of the big prizes up here…” He said, pointing at the highest shelf of the stall that was filled with Christmassy teddy bears half your size. Loki’s lips parted. Perhaps he hadn’t exactly thought through that the prize was a plush toy and not the Tesseract or something like that. But then, he turned to you.
“Pick one. I have no use for plush bears.”
“Really?” You bit your lower lip. Oh dear, was that sweet. Loki would be an adorable boyfriend. Wait… wait, had you actually just thought that?
Smiling timidly, you pointed at the dark brown teddy bear with black button eyes and a Christmassy red and green tie. The stall owner handed it to you just when you finished your mulled wine and threw your paper cup in the bin nearby.
“Thank you!”
“Have fun with it.”
“And now what?” Loki asked, looking around a lot more intrigued than you had expected him to.
“You know what? Let Thor and Tony get drunk over there, how about we go on some rides together?”
“You mean these spinning torture machines? You should buy yourself a scarf before you think about getting even colder while being spun around in a metal monstrosity.”
“The mulled wine did its job, Loki. Come on.” The God of Mischief shook his head, muttering a few words under his breath that you couldn’t make out. As soon as he had finished his mulled mead, you dragged him towards the scooter rink and bought a ticket. One. You were desperate to see Loki stir a toy car.
“What are we doing?”
“Car Scooter! Pick one while they’re still empty.”
“They don’t go anywhere but this rink?”
“No…”
“Then what is the point?”
“Come on, Loki, just pick one!”
Loki sighed. “The green one.” Of course. You marched towards it, getting seated (which wasn’t that easy with a giant teddy bear) and draping the makeshift seatbelt around you. The rest of the cars filled up fast.
“The ‘gas’ pedal is down here. Stirring wheel… basically, the point is to drive around, have fun with the music they’re playing and crash into other cars.”
“Crash into other cars?”
“Let’s gooooooooooooo!” The voice of the operator stopped you from responding to him. So instead of explaining, you hit the gas pedal for him. The music started and the round began.
“Go, go, go, go! Quick!”
Loki took a deep breath and gripped the stirring wheel. And damn him, that man was a pro. He averted the others and not a single car managed to crash into your front. Well, that was until someone bumped into you from behind.
You screeched, watching Loki turn the stirring wheel again. He took control of the gas pedal, turning the car to see the culprits.
“Oh, get them, get them!”
Before they could move away, Loki already got to them. You laughed when the impact hit. It was risky but you couldn’t help it—sneakily, you took out your phone and snapped a few pictures of Loki driving the scooter. Thor would never believe you. No one would believe you.
By the time the round was finished, Loki was beaming and smiling. Yes. No one would believe that either.
-
Five rides later—two roller coasters, a not-so-scary ghost ride, a spinning ride called “Breakdance” and this thing that looked like a spinning top with no seatbelts where you had to hold on to the rails yourself to not fall off as it spun you around—you were certain that Loki was having the time of his life with you. You couldn’t remember the last time that he’d enjoyed himself so much without having to worry about being an Asgardian prince or a cast-out villain who betrayed his own brother out of fear of a purple space tyrant.
“What is that supposed to be?” Loki pointed at a small stall selling sweets with his chin, his blue gaze focused on the candy floss one of the women behind the counter was making.
“Candy floss! Or cotton candy. It’s basically sugar that gets heated up and rapidly spun around a wooden stick to make it look like a cloud. It’s super sweet and melts in your mouth.”
Incredulously, Loki walked over to the stall. You laughed, ordering a green one for him and paying with the last remaining coins Tony had given you.
As soon as the woman behind the counter handed Loki a fresh cloud of candy floss, he dug his fingers into the sticky and soft sugar. The sound he made was without a doubt approval.
“There you are! We’ve been looking for you everywhere! You can’t just run off like that. Especially you, Reindeer Games, I don’t trust you.”
“I’m fine, Tony, really. We had fun.”
“That sounds unbelievable but alright. I’m surprised you haven’t turned into an ice sculpture yet,” Tony remarked, shaking his head when he noticed you still hadn’t bought a new scarf.
“No, like… it’s really weird. I don’t feel cold at all anymore. It’s like I’m wearing invisible winter clothes.” Loki looked away, averting your gaze. Your lips parted. “It’s you! Are you… did you cast a spell to keep me warm?”
“This sad excuse for winter garments would have frozen to death, even more so with those rides you dragged me on.”
You blinked. That was… that was so sweet. You smiled, giving him a hug which, after stiffening for a second, he reciprocated, albeit hesitantly. “Thank you, Loki.”
He nodded when you pulled away again. When you looked over at Thor, he had that surprised look on his face again.
“Alright…” he began, “I could do with another mulled mead, what about you?”
“Absolutely!”
“You were just about to buy yourself a scarf, were you not, my dear?” The strict and demanding tone in his voice made your heart jump. You blushed, stifling the giggle that fought its way up your throat.
“Yeah… let’s do that first. And then another mulled wine before we head home.” Loki nodded, satisfied with your answer. And as you strolled over to the stalls in question, you scooped up your courage and interlaced your fingers with his. Loki didn’t pull away.

Throwback to the Time during this scene bw Thor and Loki coz lemme explain my Pov
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
During this scene when thor says loki this place is perfect for you Loki kind of feels little pissed that his big brother thinks so very little of him and he questions him that and thor replies he meant the entire world to loki and he wanted to be with him forever and ever and always be with his little brother fighting all the battles in the time and what not ? but sadly loki is loki and thor is thor and no matter how hard thor tried Loki never listened to him and always went on his path ofcourse HE WAS LITERALLY THE GOD OF MISCHIEF wasn't he ? and their paths diverged and Loki says may we never see each other ever again but Guess What he doesn't really mean it and thor was also sad when he said that but he laughed it out by saying that's what you always wanted isn't it ?
LIKE THOR WANTED TO HUG HIS LITTLE BROTHER SO BADLY AND TELL HIM THE ENTIRE WORLD IS HIS IF HE WANTED BUT HE COULDN'T DO THAT AND LOKI DEF WOULD HAVE NEEDED THAT LOVE & HUG FROM HIS BIG BROTHER but both couldn't express their emotions and love with each other but we all could see that affection and dynamic bw them don't we ??
But now after a very long or Short time
Tumblr media
Loki The God of mischief who was always burdened with Glorious purpose finally found his GLORIUS PURPOSE in the End Now, Thor questions Loki if he has any good left inside but guess what HE HAS LOTS AND LOTS OF GOOD INSIDE HIM, He literally sacrificed himself for the sacred timeline and many other timelines and he saved and saved billions and infinte billions of lives and he is writing their stories now
Tumblr media
And He became who he was Born to be, THE KING
infact if we are being honest he is way above the taglines such KING because HE LITERALLY IS THE GOD OF STORIES NOW
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and if only and only thor knows about this like any of this he would be so fucking proud of his little brother 🥹❤ and this thought itself that thor will never know how great loki has become or he won't be seeing what loki has achieved is killing me from the inside

𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐬
𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: Loki x Reader
𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: Enthralled by the sky on a starry night, you ask Loki what the universe is like and end up getting a confession or two.
𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: none.
𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬: 940.
a/n: it's 3am and i'm off my head while listening to Sparks on repeat, so if this doesn't make sense, you have my sincerest apologies :)
Tumblr media
"What's it like up there?"
You felt the presence of your favourite god standing behind you as you admired the dark sky and all of its beauty. It really sucked that you would never get the chance to go and see what was out there.
When you thought that humans were the only living species in the universe, you never really cared for space or any of its matter, but knowing you weren't alone almost made you feel content for some odd reason.
"It is beautiful," he took a few long strides to stand by your side and enjoy the view with you, "but it is also hideous."
Your eyebrows furrowed together as you tore your gaze from the sky and looked at Loki who continued to look up.
"It is everlasting, yet evanescent," he continued, "merciful, but cruel."
You looked back up at the sky while Loki carried on listing the amazing things about the universe, followed by an off-putting antonym. It never crossed your mind to question the one-thousand-and-something god who no doubt had more experience than you, so you just listened and took it all in.
"I believe for something so infinite, it cannot just be one thing, but it must also be the other as we all perceive things differently."
You tried your best to hold your smile back at his confession. One thing you loved about Loki was his intelligence and dedication to learning. If there was something he didn't know or understand, instead of waiting for someone to explain it to him, he'd go off and do his own research.
"How do you see it?" Your voice came out just above a whisper due to being taken aback by the sudden breeze that had decided to accompany you.
"It is the most beautiful thing I have seen in my entire existence," he responded, forcing that smile out of you. "Or at least the second most beautiful thing."
"What's the first?" You turned to look at him once again.
Loki chuckled and turned his head to his feet, "I'll find you mean who."
"Wow," was all you managed to say, paying more attention to the pain in your chest.
From the moment you met Loki, you've had a crush on him but you were too much of a coward to tell him how you felt. That and you didn't want to ruin your friendship or cause problems for the team.
"Not in a bad way, of course. I just didn't know you had a crush on anyone. And the fact that you'd tell me, I mean, I really appreciate it," you quickly finished once you realised you were making an embarrassment out of yourself.
He never spoke.
"So who are they?" Maybe it wasn't your place to ask, but you at least wanted to know who the lucky person was, if you knew them.
Silence again. But just as you were about to apologise, he finally spoke.
"You know them better than I," he finally responded, but it still never helped.
"That could be anyone here, besides Thor obviously," given their age and the fact that they were brothers...adoptive brothers, "or technically not."
The huge grin that made its way to his face made you realise the two mistakes you made. The first being he said, 'You know them better than I'. Of course, you didn't know Thor better than him! Anyone would have thought you knew that, literally saying it not even a second ago.
The second was, you have firsthand witnessed the brother chemistry they have. He says he hates it but you know he secretly longs for it. He always has.
He turned to you and you could just tell by the look on his face that you'd be damn well lucky if you got away without him using it against you in the next few minutes.
"As beautiful as my brother is, it is not him," he reassured you causing your cheeks to heat up.
"Sorry," you mumbled looking away with your face feeling like the temperature as the sun, which was impossible but there was a first time for everything.
The mischief in his voice faded as he asked you a question. "May I give you a clue?"
You returned eye contact with the god, "Sure."
He closed the distance between you by softly placing his palms on your cheeks, and before you could react, his lips were on yours.
Your eyelids closed due to the sudden softness of his lips and the delicacy of the kiss. Loki only showed his tender side to you since you were the only one he liked, but this was more than that.
His hand went down your cheeks to the back of your neck, drawing you in closer. Your hand impulsively reached his waist, and you drew in for a deeper kiss.
It was passionate and fierce, yet it was filled with love. Time appeared to stand still as you lost yourself in the moment. He broke apart the kiss with a hesitant chuckle as he carefully removed his hands from your face to take yours in his, "does that narrow it down for you?"
To say you were speechless was an understatement in the least. Stuck somewhere between that unexpected kiss and the fact that he just gave you the best compliment any living thing could ever give, it was hard to find the right words.
"So you think I'm just as beautiful as Thor?" was what you stupidly went with in the end, grinning from ear to ear.
"Since you accused me of having an incestual crush on him, I do."

Happy 2024! New Marvel Prompt!!!
(Tony had been turned into a child once again, but this time not from a time stone. Clint had been so close to being hit by a rouge mage had it not been for Iron Man taking the hit. Now the Avengers had a small five-year old Tony to protect till the spell wore off.)
Loki: Sadly I can't reverse what has been done, unless you want this change to be permanent or his condition made worse?
Steve: *worried* It's fine Loki. Now that we know we have to wait this spell out it is just a matter of what we do with Tony, since he is currently a toddler.
(Tony shyly walks up to Loki. He Holds out his hands in a silent request for upsies.
Loki couldn't refuse the Bambi eyes Tony was making and picked him up.)
Tony: *quietly* You're really pretty.
Loki: ...
(Loki blushes with immense embarrassment.)
Loki: *flustered* I am keeping Anthony till this is over. I am not negotiating this, I shall watch over this bundle of joy. Anyone who tries to take his shall meet a fate worse than death or any torture you have experienced yet.
(Loki disappeared with Tony in his arms, stunning the other Avengers.)
Clint: *whistling* Well... I never would have expected to see Loki embarrassed ever, or see him so protective over a toddler Tony.
Thor: *unfazed* Ay, my brother may not seem like it but he has always a soft spot for children. He also has a softness for Tony as well from what I observed, so our friend as a child has Loki in a protective instinct currently.
(the Avengers decided that Loki would be the best person to watch Tony. They learned a long the way, however, is that you don't make little Tony upset. Clint learned that the hard way when he accidentally startled Tony. Loki had set his pants, quite literally, on fire.)

People look for things to hate | Loki x Plus!Size Reader
Summary: You and Loki have a lot more in common than you thought
Cw: Mean comments, overall haters on the internet, angst, comfort, fluff
Tumblr media
It was past 1 pm when you were cooking in your apartment, Loki had come to spend time with you away from his clingy brother and to get some stress out of his system, and a visit to your place always came in handy, when he saw you, no matter what he would instantly be happy, his day would become better
But due to the curiosity in him, he had to go into your open laptop at your room, seeing you were on Instagram having just posted a picture of you two, he found it so cute that you always posted pictures with him
But when he opened the comments he didn't expect what he saw
Why are you dating Loki? He killed people
Put a trigger warning for Loki pls some people have trauma with him

"Honey lunch is ready! I made lasagna just for us, you could take some for Thor- what are you doing hun?" You asked seeing him frozen in front of your laptop
"People... They... They hate me..."
You walked over and saw what he was talking about, mean comments about him on your latest post
"Oh honey no, don't look at that, people are mean these days"
"They're right... You could do so much better..." He felt like crying

We can never apply to everyone, there's always someone who will be offended or won't like something and they say things like that... People on the internet are really bold and don't care about other's feelings..." You kisses his cheek making him look at you "What matters is that we love each other... Okay?"
He nodded "Yes dear, you're right, I will always love you, no matter what you look like, I always will find you attractive"
You smiled kissing his lips now "Let's go eat honey, the lasagna has 3 sauces, chicken, meat and cheese" he rolled his eyes back
"Gosh that sounds heavenly"
You giggled dragging him to the kitchen
Omg you guys are the cutest! I love you guys together!

Fighting Leads to Fxxking
Masterlist
Chapter One - Pure, Unadulterated Weakness
Ship - Loki x Stark! Reader
Word Count - 1,751
Tw - Smut
Plot - Stark! Reader get stuck watching Loki after the events of 2012. Moments of weakness and bad decisions involving the world's most hated man lead to the worst possible outcome, pregnancy.
Tumblr media
It was a moment of weakness. Pure, unadulterated weakness. The kind of weakness that makes you stay up at night reminiscing about.
It was 2012 and an alien had invaded Earth with his mindless minions. The world was scared, but united against a common enemy. Which was the only true way to bond those of different cultures and beliefs. In an utterly devastatingly way, it was sort of beautiful to see so many people agree on something.
Loki was the worst, yet best thing to happen to the world and its people. We were given a group of heroes that watched over us, the epitome of religious idols, yet there was no need for faith. We had confirmation. It felt like a Christmas morning where you were given a present only your letter to Santa had known you wished for. There was no longer a need for hope, your dreams for a better future with someone to look over you had come to fruition.
It didn’t help that your father was a member of this group of heroes, the Avengers. You were given direct assurance for every wrongdoing and misdeed. This made every aspect of your weakness turned into reality oh so much worse.
“The daughter of the formidable, and ever powerful Tony Stark. What a pleasure to meet the heiress for the peak of humanity. Nothing fuels Earthly respect more than mere mortal gadgets.” He began, his bound hands behind his back, smiling through his teeth as he greeted you.
“My father will be back in any minute.” You replied crassly, no need for niceties with a mass murderer.
“Then, my dear, we have so little time to get to know each other.”
“I don’t intend on getting to know you, Loki.” You sighed, waiting for your father, Pepper, or literally any member of the Avengers to arrive. You would even take Thor and his terrifyingly large stature and overwhelmingly handsome self. You hated being attracted to one of your father’s friends, but it was a known complication for you as they were all so very compelling.
“Oh please, I prefer Loki : God of Mischief, Prince of Asgard.” He boasted.
“I only refer to people as God in bed.” You had no idea why you said that, were you under his spell? Why were you getting hot? Why were your clothes feeling tighter than ever before? It was almost as if you dressed in an outfit from middle school, rather than adulthood.
“I see. I do wish to hear that from you, no matter the circumstance necessary.” He said, almost as if he was flirting. He couldn’t have been? Could he?
“Unlikely, Loki.”
“Would you prefer if I looked like the Captain America?” He transformed.
“Please stop. Just stand quietly and wait for them to get back.”
“What about the dashing Bruce Banner?”
“Loki, go back to how you were. I don’t need you playing games or tricks on me.”
“How about my brother, the soon to be King of Asgard? He’s rather charming, I’ve heard.” This switch made you uncomfortable, you swallowed your saliva and looked up at him, before he continued. “Oh, yes. You like your men to be from out of this realm. Now, I may be of Jötun, but I do know a few Asgardian moves. However, they do call us giants for a reason.” He was back to his typical form, which got ever so slightly more attractive by the minute.
“Just be quiet.”
“But I want to be incredibly loud, with you.”
There it was. The weakness. The worst decision of your life, even though it felt like the best. The greatest, most pleasurable mistake of your life. Though if you had the chance to take this whole thing back and make it so it never happened, you wouldn’t dare.
He leaned closer to you and your tongue darted between your lips, unconsciously wetting them. You could feel his cold breath against your own. The next thing you know, the both of you were in your bedroom, down the hall. Confused, you looked up towards him and he smirked.
“Care to remove these?” He gestured to his restraints and without thinking, you entered the passcode. His eyes were bluer than anything you had seen on this planet. You felt yourself falling inside of them.
When you shook yourself out of this trance, he had already attached his cold hands to your waist. Time was skipping, you were losing track of your actions. You felt similarly months ago during the freshman frat welcome parties, where you were drinking almost a gallon of alcohol per day. He was like a drug, one you were addicted to before even trying. You had the smallest taste and it was all you could think about. It was the only thing you could think about.
“May I?” He leaned inwards and you nodded, swallowing in anticipation.
He kissed you and it felt as if you were a virginal teenager all over again. You struggled to remember how to kiss back, overwhelmed by the sensations of his cold but inviting mouth. Your tongues met, the temperature difference was shocking, but in the best way possible. You focused on his bottom lip as his hands grazed your bra. You thanked yourself for not wearing your typical workout sports bra. He bit your lower lip, excreting a slight moan from you.
“What if they come back?” You panted out, in between powerful and territorial claims of each other.
“I already planned for that, my dear little Stark.” You were too distracted by his touch to think over what that could mean.
“It’s Y/N. I try to avoid using that name. He’s not the man the media thinks he is.”
“I would much rather prefer that we do not speak of Stark right now. I’d like to focus on you, if that is possible.” You nodded, allowing his mouth to sneak in the crook of your neck. His cold breath creating goosebumps, but his movements producing marks. They were both painful and pleasurable.
He removed your bra with a movement of his hand, you could get used to the easiness of magic. But, what were you thinking? No, you couldn’t. He’s a horrible man, who is so very good at what he’s doing. He interrupted your moral dilemma, now having finished undressing you, you instinctively cover yourself.
“No, Y/N. Allow me to even the playing field.” He removes his clothing, and you let out a groan at the sight in front of you. His perfectly toned muscles, and his very well endowed self.
“Fuck.” You slip out.
“I intend to.” He pulls you closer to him, as you lay against your mattress. He towers above you, reminding you that he is in fact a god.
As you move with one another and rejoin at the lips, he aligns himself at your entrance. He looks at your face, looking for a cue. You nod, a little too aggressively. He begins to push himself into you, the feeling of fulfillment reaching sooner than expected. You saw what you were dealing with, but nothing would have prepared you for what you were feeling. It was painful, very painful. It was as if he was cutting you open from the inside. You groaned as a tear fell from your eyes. He wiped it as he bottomed out, letting out a litter of Asgardian curse words as his eyes fluttered shut.
“God.” You expressed, already out of breath and he wasn’t even moving.
“I knew you’d be addressing me properly with due time. Don’t worry, I intend to let you adjust before continuing on. Your mortal self is not prepared yet for a god.” He chuckles, attaching his lips to yours. You moan into his mouth, bucking your hips against his. He moves his way down to your breasts, as he leaves a trail of lingering kisses.
With an increasing amount of obscenities, he starts to move in you. He presses himself against your most sensitive spot with ease, as he lowers your hand towards your clit.
“You know what to do.” He says, breathily. You nod and begin to follow his pace on your own body.
Within minutes you were at a high. It felt unlike any orgasm you had ever experienced. His coldness creating a sensation unimaginable with your own body’s heat. He covered you in painful bruises, marking every inch of your body as his. You couldn’t dare to stop him, it was all too pleasurable. The love marks were a problem for future you. Your stomach filled with butterflies and delight as you reached your climax. He smirks with a chuckle, almost as if he was just promising to bring you back to your place of exuberance. His bare skin against your own, the friction of your hips and the sound of your wet skin connecting overwhelming you.
“Any moment now.” He whispers into your ear, biting along the lobe.
Almost as if a command, you felt your high again. Your vision blacked and you swear you could see the rainbow bridge of his realm. He continued to thrust and move until he couldn’t any longer, as the tightness around him became too unbearable. You felt the world shake as he came, your body feeling as if it was levitating six feet above your bed. You were brought again to orgasm as he joined you. The second you finished and could start to catch your breath, he inserted his fingers inside of you. You made a sound of confusion, unaware of his actions.
“Now, you shall remember this forever.” He smiles. You’re unsure of the meaning behind his actions, but he began to pump his drenched fingers back into you. You assumed he meant that he would make you climax once more.
You felt as if you were all out of pleasure, completely drained from him. You were proven mistaken as your sore body wrapped around his cold, yet perfectly tender digits and squeezed. The next thing you knew, the both of you were back in the Stark tower hallway, both dressed, and himself in restraints again. The door opened and your father entered.
“I’m sorry if that took longer than expected sweetheart, the elevator was stuck on the third floor for like an hour. I hope he wasn’t any trouble.” Your father grabbed Loki’s arm as the trickster god looked back at you and winked.
“All good, he wasn’t any worse than expected.”
hope u enjoyed the first chapter! don't choke my little guttersluts - kat.

Small answer id that Odin is a thorki shipper
(Jk but seriously does Odin know what kingdom alliance means)
While i was spending my literally-at-least-minutes thinking about Odin's Shit Plan one thing that occurred to me was that since getting Loki actually onto that throne would probably require military support from Asgard (some people might call that "sending an occupying force to install a puppet regime to de facto annex new territory" but obviously i would never do so, ahem) then Loki actually being the heir by law wouldn't really matter at that point either way. Odin may as well send Thor to Jotunheim instead, and then when he inherits Asgard the crowns are united and no more war ever again.
In Thorki terms however what happens is Loki is sent off to Jotunheim alone and sad and weeping, with his slim willowy build and his beautiful soft hair all he has to support himself with, and Thor is like "This doesn't seem... good? He knows fuck all about Frost Giants and doesn't know anyone there and also I miss him. Not in an incest way, OBVIOUSLY. I love him as a brother, I do not crave his touch upon my broad warrior's chest."
He stands at the Bifrost angsting hotly until a dishevelled Asgardian who went off to serve with the Suddenly King Of Jotunheim shows up to say "Yeah that didn't work. Nobody believes he's Lauffey's kid and they don't want him anyway." Oh no! Thor is shooketh and aghast! SHIT JUST GOT REAL!
He grabs an eight-legged horse (it's been hanging around for a while, nobody knows where it came from - WTF 8 legs??? - but it's always reminded him a wee bit of Loki so he likes it) and he heads to Jotunheim to save his bro! Then he stops, doubles back, gathers an army and heads out again, this time properly equipped with more than optimism and love. Brotherly love and not incest love OF COURSE.
And then idk everyone fights and in the aftermath it turns out that WAS incestuous love after all I guess? Thor tells Loki that you know what our dad's a bit of a dick, sending you off like that barely supported and away from me I mean from Asgard. And Loki's like yeah he is. I hate that bastard so much now. >:(
And Thor says Well it occurs to me that one of us is the theoretical heir to Jotunheim albeit not successfully so, and the other is the heir to Asgard and like... well if dad died I'd be king of Asgard and I would totally commit all my forces to supporting you over there. Might even. You know. Marry the two kingdoms together symbolically and literally. If you'd be into that. But this plan would rely on me being king and dad might just live forever so. Ah well, it was nice idea, right?
And Loki says, I don't know if you've noticed but we've still got that army from three paragraphs ago and that leaves Asgard basically undefended and WHAT IF - I'm not saying it's a good idea but WHAT IF... we told them Odin had been replaced by like. A witch? An evil witch pretending to be him. And that we need to go there and kill him to save Asgard from him. This sounds a bit unlikely yeah but would both of Odin's sons lie about a thing like that? And if Odin isn't really Odin then you'd be king now anyway so they'd be sworn to follow you and... As I said, just an idea. We probably shouldn't do that.
And then Thor has a think about it all (which takes a while as he is slightly Stupid!Thor in this story) and then he stands up and calls out to the army who were offscreen for the intimate dialogue bit but otherwise conveniently close, "RIGHT LADS I've just heard some bad news about Odin."

Tumblr media
Loki sat up in a daze feeling dirt all around him. Still not able to comprehend what had just happened, he sat there for a few minutes before looking down and realizing he didn't have any of his armor, having just been stripped off him just a couple of minutes ago.
He wore a gray shirt, one he uses before putting on his royal outfit and tight black pants. Loki looked up at the dark sky, seeing all the stars and moon just shimmering at him before letting out a loud scream of frustration as he remembered what had just happened.
Tumblr media
Loki walked through the halls of the palace humming a simple tune while reading a book. Screams of frustration and humiliation ran over the walls making him slightly smirk knowing that he once again caught off guard all the servants and workers with his mischief. He closed his book and entered his room which he had already reached by the time every single little trick he had planted had been done.
For the past two weeks Asgard has been in shambles and while not quite literally like having other realms, kingdoms or planets attack them it was more of their own prince playing a really sick joke on them which they were tired of. No one knew what exactly ticked off their younger prince, Loki, but whatever was it they were the ones to pay for it. If they already didn’t dislike or fear him enough from his cold demeanor or his terrible attitude this had to be the last straw.
People at the stables had to go through the torture of putting the horses back in place, people at kitchen having all their ingredients mixed up or not being able to open the cabinets, servants tripping over the slippery hallways etc.; it was all a chaos. Complaints sprouted from the workers and even the outside were affected by a really strange sort of vandalism that couldn’t be exactly called that since all Loki did was ruin the perfect decorations and replace them easily with different decorations of different holidays.
This didn’t go unnoticed by the All Father, Odin nor the All Mother, Frigga who were just as tired of having to apologize to their own people because of their son’s actions. And while Frigga was the one more accepting of the childishness Loki displayed, seeing it as more of a misunderstanding and Loki just finding this a way to vent, Odin didn’t see it that way and was tired that his reputation as a King getting tarnished for not being able to control a prince childish actions of mischief.
While the punishments didn’t go much far than just a simple not being able to go to battles or losing the privilege of time to train actual seidr (which Loki detested the most since each week he always found an interesting spell to work on) or just having to undo his spells and help around; it didn’t really affect him that much.
Battles? He could care less about it. Afterall, it doesn't matter how much of a good performance he pulls off, he would always be overshadowed by his older brother, Thor.
Training did tick him off a bit, but the thought leaves his mind once he starts reading books he has been wanting to read. It is a win-win or lose scenario depending whether the book ended up being good or not.
Didn’t matter what punishment he was given, he would always rise again to create a new catastrophe, or so he thought.
Thor’s birthday was coming up and Odin decided to throw him a full banquet with many people happy to celebrate who they believe to be the best heir of the family, hoping for the crown to be passed down onto him. It wasn’t full of sunshine and rainbows either with the people getting suspicious of the young prince who for the past week hasn't done anything of trickery. Not a single string of decoration touch, nor the kitchen where they were preparing their prince's favorite meals, nothing. It was turning a bit eerie.
Thor, knowing well his brother, walks to his brother’s room where he knocks loudly enough for it to echo the empty halls. He heard a bit of shuffling before the door opened where Loki gave a bored expression and an impatient one.
“Anything that I can help you with, dear brother.” Loki seethed the last words giving a little fake smile.
Thor chuckled at his brother’s way of talking, giving his own smug smile. “Nothing wrong brother, but haven’t you noticed it has been awfully quiet. Like you know, no screams or nothing.”
Loki raised an eyebrow. “You sure you haven’t heard screams because I’m pretty sure the people are out there screaming for their oh so lovely prince tells a much more different story.”
“You know what I mean Loki.” Thor said, giving him a pointed look.
“No, I really have no idea of what you’re saying, Thor.” Loki replied even though he did know exactly what he was referring to.
Thor shook his head and sigh, "Loki, I know you–
"No you don’t." He interrupted, not pleased at where the conversation was going.
Thor send him a side glare, Loki giving him the fakest smile he had ever mustered.
"You know what you're doing and you better stop Loki. It would not end well–"
"Oh dear me, how can I ever survive not going to the libra–
"Loki." Thor said sternly, making Loki stop as they stared at each other intensely. "Look I know you are preparing the biggest trick you'll ever have played and all I'm saying is don't do it."
"How low of you to think of me like that brother." Loki said in a fake tone. "I wasn't planning anything."
Thor sighs and places his hand firmly on top of Loki's shoulder. Loki tried to shake it off, but it didn’t budge one bit.
“Look at you Thor, you’re just a child worried for nothing. Begging for their oh so special day not to be ruined. What are you 500 years old?” Loki mocked.
“Loki this is not for me, this is for you. Our father is at his brink and I don’t want you to do anything…” Thor strung out, he felt as if saying more, but the current situation and Loki acting hostile didn’t allow him to do so and could only hope Loki managed to catch the real worry that he has for him.
“And why this sudden care brother.” Loki clicked his tongue.”Been hearing the latest gossip haven’t you Thor.”
Loki saw Thor’s shift a bit and softened his grip letting it slide to his side. “You have.” Loki darkly chuckled.
“Gossip or not, we both know that dad is at his last rope.” Thor whispered harshly, noticing that a maid had just passed by quickly. “So Loki don’t do anything that might get you in more trouble than you already are. Do it for mother.”
Loki noticed the last line that Thor said knowing that it would have an effect on him, but this time he wasn’t going to let that slide. “I promise brother, I won’t do anything on your happy day.”
Tumblr media
“Odin, please calm down!” Frigga yelled walking fast to be able to catch up to Odin who was draggin Loki to the bifrost. “All-Fat-, father, where are you taking him!” Thor demanded while also trying his best to take off the silly decorations put on him by the people.
Loki tried to shake off from the restraints put on his hands, but not even his seidr worked and for the first time ever since he started his jokes, he was scared for what was going to happen.
He had done what Thor had warned him not to do, but he couldn’t help it. It was so tempting and just so perfect and just everything clouded his mind when he did it. Was it because of jealousy, frustration, sadness, a mix of everything or just wanting to ruin everything, he didn’t know.
The party had started perfectly. The decorations were in the right place, all the food untouch from the trickery of the prince and everything was going well till the party; chaos erupts.
Now the decorations were once again changed, but formed into foreign language and nobody thought of anything till one found out that it contained really burglar words targeted towards the guests. The food turned all spoiled by Loki’s magic, the table and chairs were a mess and all this seemed to be just pure childish antics till it affected the All Father, Odin and the All Mother, Firgga.
The trick that Loki had planned to be on Thor resulted with the All-Father falling for it and the All Mother. Odin’s face and Frigga’s dress stained with the ink that exploded from the cake. It seemed like nothing harmless and something to not be given the biggest punishment, but it was the disrespect that astonished everyone in the room, even if that wasn’t the intention.
They had now arrived at the bifrost where the guards forced Loki down, in a kneeling position, in such a harsh manner with little to no respect. “I’m your prince!” Loki yelled. “Treat me as one!”
“You’re no prince with the way you have behaved!” the All-Father yelled, still cleaning his face that was filled with ink. The ink itself would be easy to take off if it weren’t mixed with a spell that Loki did that made the ink ten times harder to take off.
Loki stayed there quiet, but he had to bite his tongue to do so and the only thing he could do was glare daggers at Odin. He glanced towards the entrance of the bifrost where Frigga and Thor had just arrived, ready to defend him.
He wanted to let out a slight smile, but he knew if he did, whatever Odin was thinking of would be worse and Loki could already start imagining what the old man had planned for him. Being at the bifrost was a enough giveaway that he would be banished from Asgard for who knows how long.
Loki was worried, but the more he thought about it, he shrugged at the thought of being powerless. He’s pretty sure that with his skill tongue and powers would be enough to get a good position at whatever hierarchy he’s being sent off to.
“Don’t think that you would get away that easily from your punishment, Loki.” Odin said, signaling Heimdmall to open the bifrost. “Open it Heimdmall!”
“Odin, please don’t do this.” Frigga pleaded standing in front of her son. “Give him any other punishment.”
Loki sighs, looking down not wanting to see his mother plead for him. He also didn’t want to see the stain dress that reflected upon his trick that wasn’t meant to be for her. He could never imagine doing that to her.
Thor also stepped up. “Father, that trick was meant for me. No need to send him away.” Thor said. “I hold no grudges against my brother’s tricks done to me.”
“Both of you only think of what Loki has done to you, but never think of our people as well.” Odin started, grabbing Loki from the forearm, somehow with his old bones being able to lift him up. “Tricks done all this time and many of them affected our people. Frigga remember all those times our people came up to us and complain about our son’s doing, wishing that more was done than just a sorry.”
Loki didn’t dare to look up seeing that with just a push he would be thrown. He started to feel the gust of the bifrost opening upon him. “He’s not a little kid anymore Frigga. He’s willingly doing all this for whatever childish reason he thinks he has. If he wants respect, he would not have it. If he wants glory this is not the way to do it. He needs to learn respect and earn it because being here in Asgard seems to not be working.”
It was quiet. Frigga and Thor couldn’t even refute that no matter how much they wanted to defend Loki. They knew that others were also affected through Loki’s tricks. Frigga had an idea as to why he did it because even through Odin’s words there are flaws, but she couldn’t do much about it cause she knew that Loki would continue to vent his frustration on others.
Odin looked at Loki and harshly stripped his cape away, shocking everyone. Loki looked up to Odin trying to take off his restraints, not wanting to be sent off like just a pile of nothingness. “Father!” Thor yelled.
The next words that came out of Odin were ones Loki wished to never have heard.
“Through your stupid actions, you’ve disappointed, fear and disrespected your people who you honored to protect and rule. You are unworthy of these realms!” Odin roared, walking away from Loki. “You’re unworthy of the loved ones you have betrayed.” Loki wanted to scream hearing that line. His heart pounding so harshly against his very own chest, feeling like he couldn’t breathe. “I now take from you your power! In the name of my father and his father before, I, Odin AllFather, cast you out!”
Odin raised his sword and pointed it at Loki, a blast landing directly at him launching him to the bifrost. Loki heard muffled yells, but was blocked from what he felt to be a lot of energy leaving his body and all his armor breaking.
Tumblr media
After his scream which he much needed, he stood up and walked around feeling his feet bare. Loki looked around seeing that everything was pretty much empty, just grass and pavement that was surrounded with light. Loki was scared to say the least., although he didn’t show it. Wherever he was, it was strange and dark, only hearing really weird noises from the distance to what he presumed to be animals.
He looked around for a bit more, still standing in the same spot he landed on.
He walked to the pavement, feeling the rocky cold floor and looked for where to go.
He tilted his head seeing a strange poll that had just changed its color, red to green. A strange loud noise was heard from behind him - he turned around and a bright white light came at him at an insane speed.
The strange object dodge him and even if Loki didn’t know what it exactly was he knew it could’ve been his death. The object stopped just a few feet away from him, the door opening seeing a young woman come out from it.
Loki couldn’t see her quite well as his vision blurred, quite tired from all the things that had just happened in the blink of an eye, he closed his eyes and fell just faintly hearing the concerns of the young woman.
Tumblr media
"Odin, when are you thinking of bringing him back.” Frigga snapped, clearly upset at the whole situation.
Odin and Heimdall had both been whispering at each other, Heimdall telling the All-Father that Loki was in the hands of a Midgardian woman who is deemed to be a good person and someone probably able to help him. He looked towards Frigga who was breathing heavily, clearly still distressed about the situation.
“He’ll come back once he learns his lesson.” Odin firmly said, looking down at the Bifrost. “When he finally sees that there are other ways to confide his emotions, when he shows respect to those inferior to him and when he shows compassion towards those like him, then he would be granted to return, but until then we’ll just have to wait.”

Radio Time interview below
Tumblr media
TOM HIDDLESTON
The actor talks Shakespearean supervillains and mythical sea serpents
"I'M WORRIED I'm going into the red zone on the Pretention-o- Meter here… But why would a human being decide to portray other people for a living? It's a question I ask myself all the time," says Tom Hiddleston, reflecting on his two decades as an actor.
"The one thing I do know," he continues, "is that I identified something when I was younger - that sometimes I'd watch actors and feel like my experience was being articulated on my behalf; it made me feel less alone in the world.
"Genuinely. I remember thinking: 'Wow. How does that person I've never met know how that feels?'
"That's the thing that matters, that we connect with each other and feel less alone in the world… Maybe." He bursts out laughing.
Hiddleston, 41, is relieved to be back home in England, having spent lockdown in Atlanta, where he had been filming Loki. He didn't want to put his cocker spaniel, Bobby, through quarantine while coronavirus was raging ("There was so much uncertainty about every aspect of life, I thought, 'Let's stay where we are.'") and stayed sane by strolling to the park and scanning the BBC for updates. "I reflected a lot. I read a lot. I tried to hold fast to what is good, as they say."
One of the things he held fast to was his relationship with the actor Zawe Ashton, to whom he is now engaged. (The news slipped out when her engagement ring was spotted on the Film Baftas red carpet earlier this year.) The pair got to know one another while co-starring in a production of Harold Pinter's Betrayal, back in 2019.
He also immersed himself in research for his mischievous Marvel villain, who was given his own Disney+ series last year. Loki started life one afternoon in 2008, when Hiddleston jumped into Kenneth Branagh's dressing room at Wyndham's Theatre in London and attacked him with a water cooler. The pair were appearing in Chekhov's play Ivanov, and Branagh had just been announced as director of the new Marvel movie, Thor. Hiddleston thought it would be fun to pretend the water cooler was a battle axe. Branagh decided there and then to cast him as Loki, God of Mischief and brother of Thor.
"This is going to sound really w**ky, but because Kenneth and I are both such lovers of Shakespeare, we made Loki out of Shakespearean characters," Hiddleston told me when I first interviewed him at the beginning of his journey through the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
When we talk again on a spring morning in 2022, he is firmly established as a fan favourite following the Shakespearean supervillain's six-part series (another is due to follow). "It's been 12 to 13 years now, which is one of the most surprising things in my whole life," he says.
He has since filmed a sumptuous six-part adaptation of Sarah Perry's bestselling novel The Essex Serpent for Apple TV+. It's set in 1893 in a coastal community in the marshes of east Essex, where a mythical sea serpent is said to have returned.
Recently widowed amateur naturalist Cora Seaborne (Claire Danes) heads to the coast, her head filled with the theories of Charles Darwin, hoping to find a "living fossil". But her presence unnerves the locals - including Hiddleston's character, Will Ransome, the local vicar who is desperately trying to contain the anxieties of his parishioners while undergoing a crisis of faith himself. "It was funny making it during this time because it's about uncertainty," says Hiddleston. "How, if you don't have the answers, the imagination can rush in to fill the void."
The series is an all-round, highclass treat. Creepy, too. And filming it sounds like a literal blast. "We had days on set where we'd be walking along the marshes, keeping an eye on the time so the tide didn't come and wash us away, and the wind would come in across the North Sea… You'd be saying: 'Can someone please turn off the wind?!'
"But it was good for atmosphere," he concludes. Before adding with a mischievous grin - "Anything unpredictable is always good on set."
The Essex Serpent will be available on Apple TV+ from Friday 13 May

thinking about loki and fate and purpose and "redemption" through self-sacrifice and how "redeem" literally means save or set free and how loki talks about being freed from the illusion of freedom and how thor assumes that loki is always under someone's control and that even his rebellion isn't his own and in the case of the invasion of midgard he's right and how odin tells loki that even his hatred ultimately belongs to odin because he is odin's creation and how even the asgardian concept of the afterlife continues the war so if loki's death fails to "redeem" him then he's cast as a monster again and maybe even literally made a puppet in death and if it succeeds then the best he can hope for is to fight for asgard beneath his father and brother (allfathers, superior even in death) and to give his life for asgard over and over again and. just. again. SAVE. set FREE. save him from what? set him free from what? from "monsterhood"? from his struggle against violation and control? from his need to be treated like a person? from himself, because he's allowed himself to be subsumed and destroyed? this is punishment in disguise, murder with the thinnest veneer of mercy. in the end it doesn't even matter if he dies an "honourable" death or not. what matters is that the monster is slain and the gods get their blood.

When you say about Thor's co-dependence on Loki, can you talk a bit about that?
I think this post is prob the most concise version of my thoughts on this, though I talk about it a lot. I think it's the most basic underpinning of the way I understand and write their relationship: neither of them know how to live without the other one/neither of them particularly wants to live without the other because the other one's life and happiness is imminently more important than their own. To my understanding of the term, that's codependency
I can go further in depth about it but to do so, I'm gonna have to go balls deep into my own meta/world building here. So if you're somebody who is tired of hearing me talk out of my giant flapping butt, you should probably go find something else to do:
I will say that they eventually get to a point where they strike a sort of equilibrium, and while they are still crazy wrapped up in one another, their relationship gets less myopic when they are allowed to be out in public about it; when other people are allowed inside their world, it gets less obsessive and unstable and driven by shame.
Like other people can argue this, bit I do think a shared history of shame is requisite for them. Like, nobody should come out of being secretly in love with your brother for 1500 years without a deep and unshakeable sense of shame. And the shame is what drives the codependency; I write both young Thor and Loki as taking an immense amount of joy out of being with one another but a simultaneous misery about the state of their relationship. They are both coping with and trying to relieve the other of that misery in different (typically bad) ways.
But the thing is, even when they're at odds, even when they're explicitly up against one another, the other one remains a constant source of reference.
Like it's just a matter of them...not really having complete, separate understandings of themselves without the other one at the center of it all. Like, Thor is Loki's (brother, lover, companion king, whatever), that is his primary way of understanding and relating to himself. Loki is Thor's. It's not healthy or whatever, but it's literal soulmate shit so

MCU Rewatch - Thor
In medias res has legitimately gotta be the best way to start a movie, right? I mean, is that a fact yet?
While Thor begins in the silent darkness of night, it picks up speed in no time and you’re left wondering where the hell the Marvel movie went. But of course, there are signature justMCUthings that grounds everything in the ever-expanding Marvel world.
Tumblr media
Overall, Thor was pretty good,
Tumblr media
but my main takeaway from the movie is just what a good job it does at seamlessly expanding the MCU to include the surrounding universe, and gathering various threads to begin pulling them all together. I mean,
Tumblr media
AHHHH!!! THEY’RE MAKING AN AVENGERS MOVIE?!
(This is what your heart screams when you see this.)
.
But really, it’s a hype movie. The main goal of this movie is to hype up the audience for what’s next, and it was a super fun ride! Like when the DJ won’t drop the beat; non-stop fun! So let’s get into it.
Tumblr media
Obviously, I have to start with the intro. What a solemn affair that was! Holy hell, are we about to watch this woman get fired? lol rip?
Tumblr media
And then wham, bam, thank you ma’am; get this norse god in my van!
Tumblr media
BUT! Before that…
.
EXPOSITION!
Tumblr media
Yay! We finally meet Thor!
Tumblr media
Good god, he could kill with that look…literally! I actually can’t decide whether Odin is a good dad or not, but I liked how he recognized the sourness in Thor and wanted to fix him rather than just let him continue on.
Now let’s get to a lot of people’s favorite: Loki.
Tumblr media
God damn, this man is so young!! I feel older just looking at him, like he’s related to Dorian Gray or something. Not that Tom Hiddleston has aged poorly, more that he just looks like a fresh daisy here!
Tumblr media
Loki the character was also doing better than I remembered; he’s so cunning! No wonder he’s the god of tricks! I mean, of course I knew he was good, but he had this whole plan to square away everything and I was a little impressed…Too bad he’s also kind of a Hitler?!
Like, “Ooo, Loki you were so close to becoming King but you forgot to not attempt to commit genocide! Better luck next time, pal.”
Tumblr media
I do love that he fucking sticks by it and doesn’t even seem to understand why what he did was wrong. It adds a depth to the character that not a lot of villains get: he’s not a totally evil guy, but he’ll do evil things to make his life better. Truth be told though, we don’t get to see a lot of that depth until after he gets beat by the Avengers, and in Thor there aren’t a ton of reasons given for why Loki is taking a shot at the throne now of all times. Ostensibly, we’re just seeing the tail end of him getting fed up with Thor being the star all the time combined with finding out that he was actually a frost giant.
Tumblr media
And it was implied multiple times that Thor’s friends didn’t really like Loki and just hung out with him because he’s their friend’s brother. I wish I could say more about that, but we get almost no information about these people or about life in Asgard at all. It looks beautiful and mysterious though!
Tumblr media
It’s so funny to me that there are four extremely colorful and distinct characters in the background of Thor. I really, truly wish we could see more of them in movies, but it still cracks me up that they’re so criminally underused.
Tumblr media
I really don’t get it, and I love when we get to see more of them later (although, still hardly anything at all). I guess Thor is so mighty that they don’t even really matter…at least they know they’re true friends of Thor? (Supposing he doesn’t like them for their power?)
So then we’re finally reunited with Jane Foster and friends! And Coulson…is it just this movie that he acts like a departmental son of a bitch? I think not because before his TV show I remember not really caring for the character.
Tumblr media
I did enjoy how Jane doesn’t automatically take to Thor, and it seems like that’s going to be a thing throughout the Earth plotline…until he takes a shower. (God, what do incels even complain about?!) And of course it’s fun to see Thor act like a weird dumbass on Earth.
Tumblr media
But since the meat of the movie already happened, most of the Earth stuff was just there for fun. Oh, and showing off this thing again. It’s fucking awesome.
Tumblr media
One last thing I noticed in this movie is that the stones are starting to appear in concept. Since my last rewatch a few years ago, I’d heard that the themes of the stones appear super early on in the series and that you can see the planning for the whole shebang right from the start. While Thor isn’t exactly "right from the start", it definitely does things a little more in-your-face than previously, though still with perfect subtlety for those who aren't looking for easter eggs.
So Tony Stark has been working with expanding his mind to create new things, and we know eventually he uses the mind stone to create Vision. Thor introduces us to space, the tesseract, and the space stone, then he and the humans start working on expanding their reach of space through wormhole tech, which will definitely open us up to the whole universe.

I won’t look ahead, but we’ll see if this trend continues or if I’ll have to stretch it more and more as I go…

All in all, Thor was good and gets a solid 7.5/10. I’m not in a rush to watch it again, but if someone asked me to join them I’d have a good time!
With the first four movies down, we’re hitting a significant turning point: Mr. Business is here to get this superhero world in ship-shape! At least, that’s how I felt when Captain America: The First Avenger was announced. I knew nothing about him and was pleasantly surprised; this time I know everything, so there’s a chance for a repeat performance!

It was a well-known fact that Tony Stark loved to give people nicknames. It was where his true genius lay. His go to was ‘capsicle’ purely because of the exasperated eye roll he received from Steve Rogers every time he said it. But his newest nickname was quickly becoming a favourite.
“Elsa!” Loki sighed and slumped into the chair he had perched himself on as some kind of way to avoid the billionaire. “No matter how many times you call me that, I will not understand what you are talking about.” “You really need to get with the times Reindeer Games. Why don’t you ask your girlfriend? She loves Disney.”
If Frost Giants could blush, the god’s face would’ve been as red as a Midgardian tomato. “She’s not my girlfriend.” He grumbled. “Yeah yeah but I’ve definitely seen you leaving her room in the morning. Loki and Y/N sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G…” Tony’s voice faded into the kitchen where Sam picked up the tune and belted it, much to Loki’s annoyance.
Loki’s crush on the newest Avenger was simultaneously the most irritating and sweetest thing ever. He practically had heart eyes every time he saw her, which was incredibly infuriating on missions where he couldn’t stop watching her plump body in the curve-hugging kevlar that made up her suit. But on the other hand, Thor had never seen his brother this soft. He had a smile on his face while they were together, the usual anger and hatred burning behind his eyes reduced to a dull flame that threatened to die at any moment.
She was the first person to defend him if something went wrong, comforted him if he had nightmares, and cooked for him. And he in turn would read to her on rainy days, help her through her anxiety, and of course train her (his ultimate goal was to get her to stab Thor as a prank). They were perfect opposites, where he was hard and sharp, she was soft and round (both literally and figuratively). Loki had fallen for her the moment she had slapped him for the attack on New York before hugging him with an apology and running away. He stood there shocked while his brother clapped him on the back. “Don’t fret brother, she is always like that.”
Another song picked up, breaking through Loki’s day dreaming. “Let it gooooooo! Let it goooo! Can’t hold it back any moooooooore!” The grating sound of the men singing was quickly getting on Loki’s nerves but before he could yell at them, another voice joined, one that was far more beautiful than anyone else’s.
Y/N was standing in the kitchen, wearing an overly large shirt probably stolen from one of the larger Avengers and tiny shorts that wrapped around her thick thighs tightly, making them pop out even more. Her eyes were shut as she sang along with the boys, hand held to her heavy chest. Even as she belted, a sound Loki absolutely loved, she was smiling brightly, e/c eyes twinkling with happiness.
As the song came to a close, she was wiping tears of laughter from her eyes, leaning against Sam. “When did you guys get so fun?” She asked through the giggles. “When we make fun of Loki.” Tony answered confidently but a swift crack made him yelp. “Don’t do that!” “I get to slap you if you were being mean.”
“I wasn’t even being that mean!” He grumbled as he walked back through the living room, rubbing the back of his head. Y/N walked in behind him. “It doesn’t matter tones. You’re mean to everybody and I don’t like it.” She winked at Loki, continuing to berate the genius. “Come on! It’s just friendly teasing! You’re starting to sound like Capsicle.” “Alright, I’ll cut a deal with you. If you don’t stop teasing Loki, I’ll tell Pepper about Toronto.”
Tony’s brown eyes narrowed. “You wouldn’t dare.” “Try me.” They glared at each other for a solid minute before a fearful look came over him. “Alright, fine. But I won’t stop the nicknames, they are the source of my power.” She thought for a second before nodding and they shook hands, Tony going off to sulk in his lab for a bit.
Y/N planted herself on the chair next to the god, still keeping a respectful distance, something she had always done so she wouldn’t make Loki uncomfortable but he craved to touch her. “So what do you want to do today?” Her smile returned as she looked at him, sending a whole torrent of butterflies flying in his stomach. “I was just going to do some reading. Unless y-you want to do something.” He cursed his almost imperceptible stutter.
She giggled and his heart stopped. “I would looove a lazy day today. Cap has been training me way too hard. Wanna watch a movie with me?” Loki gave a little nod, letting his raven hair fall in front of his face to hide the slight shy smile that came over his thin lips at the question.
“Ok! Let me get some snacks and we’ll meet in my room in about ten minutes.” “Wait wait. What happened in Toronto?” “Ok I’ll only tell you cause you’re my favourite.” Y/N bent over, lips coming close enough to his ear that he could feel her warm breath tickle his neck. “He lost an eating contest to me and had to give me his black credit card. I bought a castle, a very very expensive one.” A chuckle rumbled through his chest
Nine minutes and 45 seconds later, Loki stood outside her highly decorated door, fiddling with the hoodie and sweatpants that she had bought for him a couple weeks after he moved into the tower. “I’m a god, I shouldn’t be this nervous for a human.” Taking a deep breath and steadying his shaking hands, he opened the door to reveal the girl, laid back on her bed, thick legs completely exposed, shirt clinging perfectly to her round stomach and breasts. “Nope I was wrong. She’s perfect.” He gulped and moved forward, perching on the edge of the bed, hand spreading over the soft, flower covered duvet.
“You can get closer if you want, I don’t bite. Much.” The god shuffled back to the headboard, swinging his long legs onto the bed, his thigh almost touching hers. “So any ideas about what you wanna watch?” “Stark said something earlier that I should ask you about. What is an Elsa?” Y/N couldn’t help but giggle as he tilted his head slightly in confusion.
“Not what Loki, who. Elsa is a Disney character from a film. She has ice powers, that’s why Tony calls you that.” “Oh.” His face fell. He was never like this with anyone else, always putting on a mask for everyone but her. “Oh no it’s not bad. Elsa’s actually an awesome character. I can prove it if you want.” “Sure.”
As the next Disney movie ended (something she had called Tangled), Loki understood her obsession with these films. A happy ending, comforting characters, not to mention the love story where the couple overcomes all odds. A sudden weight on his broad shoulder startled him. Y/N was asleep, her breaths even, heart calm. The god couldn’t help but smile as he looked down at her. God she was so beautiful, the most beautiful creature he had ever seen and after everything he had done, she trusted him enough to share her secrets and even sleep on him.
The moment when she sighed and snuggled closer, big, soft arm wrapping around his middle to keep him in place, the heat of her body warming him, he knew he had to tell her how he felt. He just didn’t know how.
“Stark, I need your help.” “I’m sorry, did I just have a stroke or did the great Reindeer Games ask me for help?” Tony spun around on his swivel chair, pen in his mouth, legs crossed, huge smug grin on his face. “I find myself unable to properly…” He faltered, avoiding the billionaire’s gaze, “…express myself to a certain person that I wish to be honest to.”
“Oh are you now~” He gestured to another seat by the lab bench, elbows falling to his knees so he could listen to the god, contemplating how he was going to mess with him. Loki fit himself onto the stool, long legs bending to sit comfortably. “Lemme guess, this has to do with our little miss sunshine?”
Blue-green eyes avoided his gaze. “Alright, I’ll help but only because I’m a sucker for lost causes and it would mean I win a lot of money. We’ve had a betting pool on which one of you would make the first move since you basically tripped over yourself when you saw her at the first gala you went to.” Tony waved off the obvious question. “Now, I’ve got one question for you, can you sing?”
Y/N was relaxing in the library, cuddled underneath the huge green blanket she had crocheted for Loki a few months before, as she read a book she randomly pulled off of a shelf. Snow silently drifted down outside, the city was quiet and she was content to remain here. Of course, she would love to be in her room watching movies with a certain god but he had been avoiding her for days and she was determined to find out why. So she was going to corner him in his favourite place.
Just as her eyes began to flutter shut, soothed by the scent of books and warmth, a large hand laid itself on her shoulder. “Hi there.” She muttered. Loki just smiled, palm moving up so he could cradle her jaw, thumb rubbing the apple of her cheek. “Come, I have something to show you.”
Their hands nestled against each other, his own engulfing hers as he guided her out of the room but kept the blanket wrapped around her. The halls were empty, quite unusual for a Wednesday afternoon, yet she could not bring herself to care, not when her skin prickled from Loki’s touch and he so carefully led her forward, making sure that she did not fall behind or stumble.
Her breath came out in little puffs of fog as they stepped into the winter air. The snow had stopped, leaving great mounds of ugly grey slush in its wake. Loki turned so they were standing face to face, bringing both of her hands to his lips so he could kiss the back of them, sending a shiver down her spine. “Wait here dove.”
He smirked as she looked up at him with big doe eyes, always filled with such wonder. “Trust me.” He placed one last kiss to her skin before bundling her back up in the green fabric and stepping away, inhaling the crisp air to calm his wildly beating heart.
The prince extended his arms outwards, palms facing the dark sky. Snow began to swirl once more, the winds picking up as more snow gathered. As grey slowly turned to white but her attention was captured by the god. His voice was clear through the howling winds, his words striking a cord in her heart, tears gathering in her waterline as she listened to him serenade her.
All those days, chasing down a daydream
All those years living in a blur
All that time never truly seeing
Things, the way they were
Now she’s here shining in the starlight
Now she’s here suddenly I know
If she’s here, it’s crystal clear
I’m where I’m meant to be
Loki stepped back to her, taking her trembling body into his arms, tilting her chin upwards so their eyes could meet. He wiped away her tears as he continued, the power of his voice rumbling through her chest, each word piercing her heart.
And at last I see the light
And it’s like the fog has lifted
And at last I see the light
And it’s like the sky is new
And it’s warm and real and bright
And the world has somehow shifted
All at once everything is different
Now that I see you
The last words had barely faded into the breeze when Y/N’s arms were thrown over his shoulders, blanket slipping off, and she brought his lips to hers in a desperate kiss, one that had been brewing for months. Loki hugged her tightly to him, large hands cupping her plump body, head tilting to deepen the embrace.
As they reluctantly broke apart, their foreheads pressed together, no more words needing to be spoken except whispered declarations of their love, being swallowed by the snow.
Bonus:
The Avengers stood on one of the balconies of the compound watching as the lovers smiled brightly in the dunes of white. “Well Tony got him to sing.” Natasha reluctantly handed over the wad of cash to the genius.
“It didn’t take too much convincing if I’m being honest. I’m just that great.” He smirked, collecting money from each of the heroes.
“Hey do you think we should break them up, I don’t want any mini Lokis running around anytime soon.” Sam pointed out the way that the two were now pulling at their clothes, even in the bitter cold. “Oi! Keep it PG!”
They threw themselves away from each other and glared up at them, Y/N showing a choice finger as she grabbed Loki and pulled him back inside.
Thor chuckled at their antics, glad his brother had finally found his princess.

Chapter Four - Surrogate Father
Ship - Loki x Stark! Reader
Word Count - 1,218
Tw - Wholesome Thor, Mentions of an Abortion
Plot - Stark! Reader get stuck watching Loki after the events of 2012. Moments of weakness and bad decisions involving the world's most hated man lead to the worst possible outcome, pregnancy.
Tumblr media
It had been three days since your ultrasound and you had been practicing what to say to Thor nonstop. Your brain was riddled with confusion and anger, as you tried to wrap your head around what was happening. You were staring at yourself in the bathroom mirror, frustrated with yourself. Thor would be here any second now, and if there was anyone who wouldn't kill you for being intimate with Loki, it would be his brother. You heard thunder from outside and your heart sank into your stomach.
After collecting yourself, you entered the living room of your apartment where you could hear Natasha greeting Thor. You wiped the imaginary dirt off of your shirt and sat across from Thor. Natasha says goodbye to you both and leaves him alone on the couch, with you in an armchair in front of him, slightly askew.
"So, what seems to be the matter of importance, Lady Stark?" He asked, intensively paying attention to every expression that crosses your face.
"I, um. I have some news?" You tried to just say it and get it over with, however it came out more like a question than an announcement.
"Okay, what is the occasion?" He inquires, leaning in with a slight smile. For a man with countless years of wisdom, he's rather dull sometimes.
"Well, I was sort of involved in something with your brother. I really need some advice.” Thor sighed in response.
“Who did he kill?” He leaned down to put his hands on his knees.
“No one! Well, not no one, but this isn’t about that.” You reassured. He looked back up to you.
“What devious antic did he engage in now, Lady Stark?”
“Oh, um.” Those were very frequent word fillers found in the conversations about your secret pregnancy.
“Tell me, did he engage in sexual relation with you?” Thor guessed, you brushed your hand against the back of your neck before answering.
“How did you know?”
“My brother is rather fond of difficult and seemingly dangerous sexual escapades. I promise you, he is a good man deep down.”
“Deep, deep down.” You mumbled and he gave you a quick, warm smile.
“I apologize for my abruptness, however I am in the middle of an unfortunate, inter-realm crisis. I really do apologize for his actions, however I am not my brother’s keeper. What seems to be the emergency I have heard of?” He speaks harsher words, but uses a lighter tone to compel his sincerity.
“I seem to be, well not seem, literally? No. That’s not right.” You fumble through your words to try and remember your rehearsed script.
“You’ve fallen ill, from my brother’s seed.”
“How did you know I was pregnant?” You asked, dumbfounded.
“This tends to be a forgotten aspect of my divine attributes, but I am technically the god of fertility. I knew from the moment I entered this place of living.”
“Why didn’t you just start with that?”
“I wanted you to come up with the courage to tell me on your own.” You were beginning to actually wish you had his kid inside of you. At least you could hope his parents instilled the same kindness in Loki, even if deep, deep down.
“What do you think I should do? You know, considering my father and the baby’s father after all.” You sighed as Thor leaned forward and grabbed ahold of your hands, placing them in his the palms of his much larger ones.
“I can not tell you what to do. This is entirely up to you. However, I can provide you with necessary information regarding this situation. For example, you should be aware, Lady Stark, that a frost giant pregnancy can last up to twelve months, and without a doubt the expulsion will be incredibly painful, due to its size.”He explains.
“Oh.”
“However, if you wish to not keep this child, I understand and I can arrange for an Asgardian doctor to eliminate this pregnancy. You would have to come to my realm, as your mortal doctors would not be able to endure or harness the science and magic required to end the pregnancy of a frost giant.” He states, stroking his thumb against your hand, in a comforting manner.
“I don’t really know what I ‘wish’ for. I don’t even have a grasp as to what I want to do with my life, how am I supposed to know what to do with Loki's demon spawn inside of me?!" You sigh, already feeling apologetic for raising your voice at him. It wasn't Thor's fault his brother seduced you.
You felt a tear fall from one of your eyes and you let go of his hands to wipe it away. He stands up as he looks into your eyes. He pulls you onto your feet and envelopes you into a comforting hug. You softly begin to cry into his chest. He pats your back instinctively and tightens the hug.
"You know.." Thor starts, as he lets go of you, looking down at your eyes as you wipe them once more. "I've always wanted to be an Uncle!" He smiles brightly.
"You don't have to.." You begin, until he interrupts you.
"I know what it's like to have an overbearing and controlling father, Lady Y/N I'm prepared to step up and take care of this child as if they were my own. After all, I feel a sense of responsibility towards this situation." Now it was your turn to interrupt.
"Don't even, I was a consenting adult, Thor. And drop all this 'Lady' stuff, I'm just Y/N."
"Alright, Y/N. Just know I'm here for you. You can always call for me and I shall come as soon as I can. I will ask Heimdall to listen for your voice, just one mention and he'll search the realms to find me and bring to you."
"That's great, Thor. I really need someone on my side who isn't always talking about their hatred towards your brother." You smile, only partially joking.
"I could never judge a human for falling for a god. We're irresistible." He laughs, you smile and let out a slight chuckle, he continues, "Did you by chance tell Natasha I was the father? I can see her peering through the window outside." You follow his gaze and sure enough she was staring right at you both, unknowingly undermining her stealthiness and reputation as a spy to you.
"It was an accident, but it ended up being easier to explain. I'm sorry." You apologize as he laughs.
"I don't really mind, Lady-, no, Y/N. If you're uncomfortable with the reality of the situation, it is understandable. I can be there as a surrogate father until you can make your decision." He gives you a light smile.
"Thank you, again. I don't really know what I'd do without you." You lean in and wrap your arms around his waist, his stature becoming troublesome for this attempt at a hug. He whispers in your ear that 'it'll be okay' and kisses the top of your head in a seemingly friendly, yet comforting notion.
Then he leaves after goodbyes and pleasantries, making sure to stop to say "farewell" to Natasha, who is more than surprised he found her hiding spot.
i hope this chapter was a breath of fresh air, next one will be like a punch to the stomach sorry-not-sorry (and it'll be out minutes after this one!) don't choke my little guttersluts -kat.

I'm kind of a casual mcu fan and i always had this question, isn't much of Loki's tragic backstory mostly a fanon? We know Odin didn't tell him that he was adopted which was wrong and probably had a bad impact on him and i think it was implied that Odin favored Thor over Loki so that was unpleasant and invalidating for him as well, not to mention Asgardians (or just the royals?) considering his real race people to be monstrous. But other than that i don't think he had been really that oppressed
Oh boy, where do I start. (This going to get long, fair warning)
It's important to keep in mind that abuse and mistreatment can be physical but also psychological and emotional, all 3 are awful and have lasting effects on people. Just because a person isn't being beaten it doesn't mean they're not being abused.
The real tragedy of Loki is that everything he went through was psychological and emotional, and it affected him greatly. His self-image, his self-esteem, the way he understands love and life, his beliefs about other beings (and ultimately himself) are all a consequence of his upbringing and Odin's indoctrination. When you say he wasn't that oppressed the thing is he shouldn't have been discriminated against at all. There are no acceptable grades of discrimination or oppression.
But let's go one by one:
Odin never told him he had been adopted.
For starters, adoption is too nice a word to describe what happened there. Loki had been left in the temple, Odin showed up and took him. We only know what Odin said in the first movie so we have to go by his word (which is not ideal because even though I love that man he was a pathological liar). Why did he take him? Was it because he took pity in that baby, because he didn't want him to die? No, he took him for a purpose: he wanted to raise him as his own, under Asgardian values, so that one day he would send him back to Jotunheim to rule. I do believe he ended up loving Loki eventually but as I always say it's not enough to love someone, it's how you love them that matters, and he loved him the wrong way.
Odin knew what Loki was and he knew he would go back someday, so why get in his head that the Jotuns were monsters? That takes me to your next point.
Odin favoured Thor over Loki
I think he lied to him and treated him as lesser than to incite what most narcissistic parents do to their children: triangulation. I know you're probably thinking this all is fanon but you see, in the first movie it is shown so clearly. Not told, it is shown. But most people choose to reject it because we don't have a literal quote when it is said "Loki, we're mistreating you and abusing you".
From Thor's "Know your place, brother", to Heimdall speaking over him, to the servant laughing at his expense, to Odin shushing him, to Volstagg mocking him, to the guard ignoring his order to warn Odin of their departure to Jotunheim. Movies tell many stories simultaneously and they don't always have the time to tell us everything so they have to show tiny bits of narrative in small doses, gestures where Loki looks hurt but stays silent, when he looks down and takes a step back, when his voice is low as he's speaking to his family or the many occasions where he's in the same room as Thor and Odin but he never says a word.
The Asgardians considering the Jotuns as monsters
Again, this is Odin's doing. But most importantly: when you say the Asgardians saw them that way you better include Loki in there too because he also considered them monsters. And if you add to that the way he had been mistreated his whole life, his brother favoured over him despite both of them being princes, his feelings of inadequacy and his desire to belong... link that to him finding out he's one of those monsters he had been told to fear as a child. At that point he has absolutely nothing to hold on to, not his people (if they knew the truth they'd fear him, reject him, hate him), not his brother (cast out), not his mother (she had been lying to him), not his father (at the time currently sleeping).
He's completely and utterly alone, with no one to turn to, with the added pressure of the throne and at the brink of war. Unsure of who or what he is, with an uncertain future ahead (what will happen when Odin awakes? Will he be cast out as well? Taken to the dungeons or sent to Jotunheim? He knew Odin loved Thor and he banished him, what won't Odin do with him, the kid he didn't love all that much?). So he does what he thinks is best but that's still not enough: Sif and the Warriors 3 don't accept his status as King (even though the line of succession fell to him legitimately) and Heimdall betrays him. And in the end Odin still tells him "no". No, you're not enough. No, you're not one of us.
So when you say "Odin didn't love him as much as Thor" it sounds a little too simplistic a take because there's so much more to it than that. Actions don't come in a vacuum and Loki's upbringing affected absolutely everything in his adulthood: he still thinks he's not enough, he still thinks he has nothing good in him, he still believes love is conditional as to how useful he can be to those around him, he still feels inclined to engage in toxic relationships (as shown in the series, except the show paints this as a good thing when it's not).
The problem is the MCU has actively refused to allow him to express himself so he can say all this so we're left with analyzing gestures and certain words and actions in order to read him. This is one of the many complaints I have about the show (and the movies in general): everyone around him defines him and describes him but he's never allowed to define and describe himself.
