Yugo’s handsomeness has actually been pointed at before.

I’m sure we all collectively decided by now that older Yugo is officially a hot ass god-king that still needs to get tortured every once and a while.

But did you know that his looks are also considered to be very good-looking and an unspoken fact in the World of Twelve?

I’m not kidding.

If you think YOU find him good to look at, then you haven’t seen how they say it.

But since you didn’t seem to think you heard a single Twelvian compliment his face (cuz Yugo just grew his body RECENTLY) before, you probably think I’m just spewing random bullshit out of my ass.

Like I said, his looks are good ones but it’s an unspoken fact between people who have seen his older face before.

And who have seen it besides the eliatropes?

The Brotherhood of the Forgotten. And who addressed his handsome face? We learn it from the Brotherhood again. Or rather, through Toxine.

In season 3, we get to learn how Toxine and Echo do not quite share a good relationship.

But what is essential to remember here, is that we also get to learn that Toxine is jealous of Echo. She doesn’t like how she gets to have a higher position than others and has a comfortable role to “slack off” while the others are doing all the hard work.

But when she says those exact words, she brings Oropo into the mix and the way she mentions him is so out of the blue, that it now makes a lot more sense.

She not only says his name but she says “beautiful” right before it.

We know Oropo constantly takes off his hood when he’s around the members of the Brotherhood of the Forgotten. Judging from what we’ve been able to see, he took it off around Coqueline, Black Bump, Echo, and Ush.

So who’s to say Toxine has never seen his face before? He had definitely showed it to her at least one time. Or else, that comment of hers wouldn’t have made sense.

The only reason why we only see these specific flashbacks with the hood off is because these four members have shared personal moments with Oropo. Given Toxine’s behavior (and just general vibe), she wouldn’t be the type to have personal moments like these with him (or with anyone for that matter) so she simply must’ve seen his face when he was doing his daily speeches to the group.

In short, Toxine considers him to be “beautiful” aka attractive. Echo sleeps with Oropo constantly. That already makes two people that considers him attractive.

And the way Toxine calls Oropo makes it sound like his attractiveness is unspoken but she deliberately decided to mention it like it was a fact rather than an opinion. You can tell by her tone of voice as she says it.

So since Oropo is considered to be attractive, the same should be said for Yugo because he’s a part of Yugo. People often confuse Oropo to be Yugo at first (it happened with Amalia, Adamaï, Chibi, Grougaloragran, etc.) (for those who don’t know why I mentioned Chibi and Grougal, please watch the Oropo special episode). Even though I personally don’t see how these two look physically alike in any way, shape or form, I’ll have to take their word for it.

Therefore, this is why Yugo’s handsomeness is a widely known fact among the people who know how he looks when he’s older.

Wakfu art dump because yes

This post is gonna be super long because I will ramble IN DEPTH today

So huh if you like my rambling or my art just read ig, otherwise scroll away idk what to tell ya

Showing some of my art and ramble because wakfu is part of my current big 3 hyperfixations ( along with WH and Trolls )

So huh enjoy my growing insanity ( I compiled it in one post to not annoy people too much :')

Presenting my oc Sharm !

An (very pink) Eliotrope

She's based on my in game character but I kinda gave her lore and a story so

⭐INFODUMP about Wakfu in general ! ⭐

Basic infos for those who don't know anything about Wakfu :

Wakfu is a french animated serie made by the studio Ankama, who also made several mmorpg games ( and way more, like the amount of content and lore is crazy)

Most of the stories will take place on the World of Twelves, populated by 12 main races (with many variation)

And there is a 13th "main race", the Eliatropes, which is the race of the main character of the anime, Yugo

Eliotropes ( with a o instead of a) are a subrace of the Eliatropes ( lore is explained in the serie but I don't wanna spoil, so to boil it down, Eliotropes are unstable pale copies of eliatropes) [ they are playable in the game wakfu]

So, what about Sharm ? Well she was born a pretty regular Eliotrope. She had two "brothers", Chance and Vitali, who unfortunately ended up fading away with time ( mechanically, when an Eliotrope die, his/her essence will go to the nearest Eliotrope to allow them to live longer)

So Sharm was left alone for very long, and stayed in Eliatropes ruins she found. Those were overgrown by stasis ( type of crystals, very bad, generally associated with corruption and destruction)

However, the essence she got from her siblings passing could only last so long

One day, in a desperate attempt to not die, Sharm took stasis and...ate it. Chewed on the mf crystals, and surprisingly, an interesting reaction occured : it stabilised her essence. It also made her basically frozen in development, Sharm cannot grow anymore and her power levels are quite limited in quantity, unless she uses stasis.

So my girl went through the ages, she kept on researching on the remnant of the eliatrope race ( wiped out aside from a few) and became sort of an archeologist

Nowadays, Sharm travels from a country/city to an other, often with mercenaries she hires as bodyguards . The other two ocs in this sketch page are the said mercenaries

And the cat is called Noiraude !

Sharm needs protection because she is stupidly useless in combat

So, this character is Nora (second drawing is a headcanon version of her)

Who is Nora ? She is the sixth eliatrope of the Council ( Eliatropes are rules by the six first borns of the race who can reincarnate along with their dragon twin)

Nora appeared for the first time in a flashback the episode "Quilbi" in season 2

In 2011

And back then she was in a flashback, so presumed dead from the war that wiped out the Eliatropes

BUT

Lately, as clips and trailers of season 4 of Wakfu has been released

It's confirmed that Nora is there

She's alive

She's in season 4

my tablet is currently halfway across the country for repairs (my brother's the most tech-savvy in my family and asking him to take a look at it was cheaper than taking it to a shop) so i haven't been able to draw lately. i've made a bunch of traditional sketches in the meantime, but none of them are presentable enough to post here, so i decided to take a trip down memory lane and fill out one of foxorian's influence maps!

below the cut are the names of the artists featured here, as well as a little bit of director's commentary on how they've influenced me :]

yugo limbo (website, tumblr, twitter) - some time last year, i realized something profoundly unnerving: i actually... don't like the art in smile for me's original release all that much? that's not to say it's bad, just that there isn't a whole lot about it outside of maybe its architecture that stands out to me. which is REALLY WEIRD, considering i wrote a whole retrospective about how much this game means to me. art-wise, however, it was only after smile for me's release that yugo limbo's art evolved in a way that really resonated with me; i love how textured everything is, i love the way they simplify clothing folds and the way that skin wrinkles around the joints, i love their love for puppets; all of those things ended up worming their way into my art style and tastes one way or another, and i couldn't be happier!! it didn't feel right to leave smile for me out of the equation entirely, though, so i chose a piece that was both related to that game and that i felt reflected a lot of what i love about yugo's more recent art.

echobsilly (twitter, tumblr) - oh god, speaking of yugo limbo - god. i fucking love echo's art so much i have no idea how to even do it justice in writing. like many people i first found him through his smile for me/limbolane fanart and animations - and those are some of his best work, don't get me wrong, but i really wanted to include one of his original designs to make a point that he's just fuckin great at art in general. character design, facial expressions, body language, composition, LIGHTING... he makes it all just. so so so gorgeous. i always liked "painterly" art styles for lack of a better word, but i think his art is what first pushed me to embrace that more in my digital art. i also like how he talks about dr. habit like he's his dead wife. i'm very proud to call him a friend these days :]

japhers (tumblr, twitter, instagram) - i first found japhers' art in high school and he very quickly became a HUUUUUGE influence on my taste in character and costume design. one of the big reasons i never fully bought into the idea that men's fashion is inherently harder to design is bc so much of his art is already dedicated to exploring fashion Without the restrictions of a gender binary in place which is to say that he's really good at drawing buff dudes in frilly outfits. i also think he gave me more confidence to draw more intricate costumes without having to worry about super dainty and clean lineart, bc a lot of his art looks like it's kinda been carved/rendered out of sketches, and it is Gorgeous.

moe suppe (website, tumblr, cohost) - another artist i found in high school, albeit originally from a long-gone instagram account. his art is what kickstarted my desire to have some Roughness in my art, some Texture. it may not have stuck to my lineart, but it Definitely stuck to my rendering. it helped that i was going through a pretty big angel/demon phase at the time, which meant i was pretty immediately drawn in by his delightfully weird worldbuilding. i should probably read fear not now that it's an actual serial...

val wise (website, itch.io, twitter, instagram) - a more recent influence, but a pretty significant one nonetheless. i featured the cover of délicatesse here because it was the first thing from him that i had ever read, but in general his grasp on the human body really blows me away given how deceptively simple his style looks at first glance, especially his faces. the way fat and hair sits on her bodies, and how much it varies from character to character... it's beautiful without being So glamorous that it feels untouchable. his costume design is also great. i recommend his comics for low fantasy/ursula k. le guin fans who are Dying to see more fat characters in leading roles. i also just found out that i am of two hearts is free on itch.io, so i'll be treating myself to that over spring break.

partycoffin (tumblr, twitter) - if you have known me for any amount of time at all then this should not come as a surprise to you. i actually wasn't going to include partycoffin in this map at first, because while welcome home has inspired me in Many creative pursuits, i didn't think visual art was one of them? i definitely picked up some of clown's love for dramatic lighting and thinner lines with just a smidge of well-placed hatching subconsciously, though.

ryoko kui - probably the most recent artist featured here? anyways i have a confession to make: i have yet to read dungeon meshi. i just know that when i saw a post compiling a bunch of ryoko kui's sketches from her daydream hour series, i was so overwhelmed with this feeling of, like… "oh, yeah, these capture almost everything i love about women as flesh and blood people. when i draw women this is the kind of beauty that i want people to see in them." of course, ryoko kui is a great character designer in general, but something about her women specifically really speak to me. the earthier color palettes and rendering also do a lot to endear her art to me.

shuzo oshimi - specifically his art in blood on the tracks. something that really stood out to me in that series was whenever the shadows would get really intense, and you'd get these big blocks of black with just the faintest bit of hatching to soften out some of their edges. it was always very effective in creating this sense of claustrophobia. i really want to keep incorporating that in my more intense pieces!

person918x (tumblr, instagram) - i don't work with 3d art often and i don't see myself doing so any time soon, but the composition of person918x's pieces is something i take a lot of inspiration of. i also love his sequential art, as someone who does a lot of dream journaling it's sick to see the exact Vibe of a dream be put to (digital) canvas. i also firmly believe that he's one of the only people out there who knows what he's doing when it comes to using generative AI in art.

oops i made this list too long so now i have to put the last two artists in a new block.

10. meatgiri (twitter, instagram) - definitely the artist i've known about the longest out of this selection. i think i've been following her since…. oh god. since i was in middle school. way before she was meatgiri, even. i think her influence probably shows up the least in my art, but there are definitely some characteristics that stuck with me for a very long time (the lil block of black accompanied by one or two lines for shading on the neck, the looser lineart making it really easy to incorporate soft curves and sharp edges, the Eyes, etc etc.) i chose this drawing of her oc juniper bc i thought it was both reflective of her current art And a good embodiment of a lot of things i wanted to emulate from her art as a young'un.

11. dragan bibin (website, instagram) - specifically his 'deimos' series. much like with person918x, it's his compositions that really stand out to me the most, and you probably know by now that i'm a sucker for high contrast. i find it interesting though that he uses high contrast to obscure more than he does to highlight... helps a lot with giving the deimos paintings that air of Quiet Unease. another thing i want to incorporate in my horror-adjacent art! manmade environments gone wrong!

might be a bit of a boring question but how do you feel about the Mazda b series? and if you have nothing to say about that one then I'd love to hear your thoughts on the tacoma

So thoughtful of you to give me a backup question, but worry not! If I've got nothing to say about a car, I will find it, goddamnit, if it'll take me two months! Which it very nearly did. Sorry. Anyhow! In reverse order of generations:

1. 5th

it would take state-backed effort to get me to care for -hell, care about- this last one, which did not excel in looks nor performance nor, from what I can tell, reliability nor comfort. It feels like it would be a very complex thought experiment to come up with the buyer this would be the best choice for, even in its time. (However, while the enthusiasts' metric of evaluation is competition, the owners' metric is their own expectations, so it is certain and valid and good that millions of owners were chuffed about their purchase and I love that for them and do not whatsoever seek to rain on their parade.)

2. 4th

Neat! Even beyond the spectacular decals, I just love Japanese pickups of this era (the ones yankees call "small pickups" and we call "pickups" because we don't have those useless fuck-off-gargantuan shit yankees love to pretend has any use). So much so that I want two of them. Neither are this (they're the Toyota Hilux and the Nissan D21), but objectively they're all about the same and my preferences are purely based on aesthetic minutiae.

3. 3rd

First I see of it! The front is kind of unfortunate, but it reminds me of the Yugo so it's on my good side. The rear taillights also have a kind of Soviet quality to them, I'm sure there's some -az car with rear lights just like those.

4. 2nd

HELL FUCKING YEAH *checks pronouns* SISTER! I love this thing. Especially the REPU, where PU stands for Pick Up and RE stands for...

Yep :D, this was the time when Mazda was shoving rotaries left and right into applications they were comically unsuited for absolutely no discernible reason, and we're all glad that they did, because Lord knows no one else had the lack of sense to do it.

Yes the ROTARY POWER* on the back of it is factory! *BITCHES

5. 1st

Yeah, this is at the edge of car period that excites me. Not that I think it looks bad or is bad or anything, it just starts to feel too... historic for me to connect to? I guess a Mazda pickup from the early '60s is just not for me.

It seems I guessed wrong.

This Ghibli-esque little thing is the 1959 Mazda K360, being a kei truck with the then maximum of 360cc of engine. It was a popular taxi (taxi!) in Myanmar...

...where it kept being produced until the early '70s, when it got replaced by the other other truck Mazda was making by the early '60s, the B360.

Wow I really was wrong there huh.

These were probably a sort of "Eastern Europe getting Fiat's scraps" kind of deal, since while these were manufactured in Myanmar from '72 to the mid-90s (mid-90s!), by 1972 Japan had already long been getting the B360's replacement i.e. the Mazda Porter, which OOOO0000°°°°°ººººº⁰⁰⁰⁰⁰⁰⁰ my GOOOOOODDDD

OMGOMGOMG THIS IS THE CUTEST THING IN THE WORLD

I don't even want to own one of these, I want to cuddle it. I want to protect it.

ARC-V Month Day 18: D/D/D - Different Dimension Day (2/2)

here’s part 2 of day 18! if it’s not already obvious, this AU involves the manga version of ‘em (cuz i just find those versions of ‘em neat)

this part includes both notes and sketches as i wanna keep the comic separate from this and isn’t really considered “canon” in this AU (more or less)

(just a heads up, i’m putting this under a read more due to one of the sketches i made prior is a bit more graphic than what i usually do (and possibly manga spoilers)

general backstory thing:

- instead of dueling Eve, G.O.D. forced a contract with Yuya from his desire of seeing his brothers back from the World Illusion incident

- against Yuya’s will, G.O.D. had given his brothers back with their bodies physically intact, but...

- G.O.D. cursed them to be one with their ace dragons (Yuya included) as they felt the sensation of additional limbs that were foreign to them

- seeing that those additions resembled parts of their dragons horrified them as a twitch of their tail was proof enough to believe so

- did they do that on their own? or was that their dragon’s?

- regardless, Yuya couldn’t accept this and demanded the forced contract be broken (even if that meant seeing his brothers disappear once more)

- G.O.D. denied and whisked the Yuboys away into a different world so that they wouldn’t interfere with the cycle

- now stuck in whatever world they’ve been tossed in, finding out how to get home is one of their priorities

- the other? to eliminate G.O.D.

Day 18: D/D/D - Different Dimension Day @arcvmonth

Since Pokemon and Arc V, as well as the YGO franchise as a whole, are my forever special interests and combining them together brings much such immense joy, that's what I'm going to do today. I have a general idea of what the premise of the crossover could be like and then I'll just go over some Pokemon that would fit some of the characters due to their decks/personalities. Yuya and Yuzu being Pokemon Coordinators would be perfect fit. It's not exactly like Entertainment Dueling, but there is an emphasis on appealing to the crowds and the judges with your appeals and combinations. Pokemon XY did introduce Pokemon Showcases, but those are boring as sin in my opinion and those really wouldn't fit with even just Yuzu either. I kind of like the idea of Mega Evolution taking the place of Pendulum summoning. While I find that battle mechanic overhyped by the fans, it would probably work better than the other mechanics as a transformation. Academia would still be trying to find the Bracelet Girls not only for them, but for their Pokemon as well. The four dimensions would become different regions instead.

Yuya's main Pokemon would be Flygon. Out of all of the Dragon Pokemon, I think it fits him the best because it is an odd eyes Dragon Pokemon. Plus, we'd have Mega Flygon with this setup. One of the few ways to truly bring the Pokemon fanbase together. He could also get a Charizard to become Mega Charizard X instead since it would become a Dragon type, but I think Flygon fits him more. I could also see him with a Rillaboom. A gorilla playing with wooden drums just feels perfect for Yuya. Out of all of the characters, it's really easy to give Yuya a full Pokemon team it's easy to find some Pokemon that represent his Performapals. Hippopotas and Ekans are pretty solid choices too. Most other characters would specialize in a specific type, but I think Yuya would go for a variety of types to make more unique combinations in his Contests.

Yuzu's main Pokemon would be Primarina. While I love seeing Yuya and Popplio together, especially when its official artwork makes me think it would be a perfect fit for him as well, Primarina is a better match for Yuzu's deck. It's Z-Move in particular fits with how some of her monsters attack. She's specialize in Fairy types, so she'd have Pokemon like Sylveon, Gardevoir and Wigglytuff.

Yuto would have a Hydreigon. While I'm tempted to give him a Dragapult due to being part Ghost, I think that Hydreigon works with his design a bit more. He would have Dark and Ghost types. Ceruledge would be such a cool fit for him since it's probably the closest to his Phantom Knight monsters. Chandelure would be really cool too since it's one of my favorite Ghost types.

Ruri would have an Altaria. She would have less aggressive Flying type Pokemon compared to Shun, so I could see her with Swellow and a Pidgeot. An Oricorio would be really cool too, especially with it able to change forms and typing when necessary.

Yugo would have a Salamence. I think it fits him really well among Dragon types and I think that the notion of a Dragon Pokemon forcing itself to evolve with wings to fulfill its dream of flying would fit with Yugo as well. I could see him with some Electric type since they tend to be pretty speedy. Alolan Raichu would be cute and a Heliolisk would be neat too. Yugo riding on a Cyclizar in place of his D-Wheel would be so cute too.

Rin would definitely have a Froslass. She'd run a lot of Ice types. Glaceon would fit her really well. An Alolan Ninetales would be pretty cool for her as well.

Yuri would have a Dragalge. While it isn't the most powerful Dragon type out there, I think it fits with his design and deck really well. It's also my favorite Poison type. He would use a lot of Poison types, so Scoliopede would be great for him. I could see Yuri getting an Espeon. Part of it is to tie in with Serena's team, but there is something interesting about Yuri bonding with one of his Pokemon enough to make it evolve. Even in Pokemon, some villains have Pokemon that evolve via friendship levels, so it would be fitting. Giving him a Shiny Espeon just so he could brag about it would also be on brand since being smug is in Yuri's DNA practically.

Serena would have an Incineroar. Design wise it might not fit her deck that well, but I think it works well with her more aggressive personality. Liepard would be a good fit too. Umbreon would be perfect due to its connection to the moon, as well as hinting at her connection to Yuri since both Espeon and Umbreon are often linked together.

Zarc would still have merged together with the four dragons in this crossover, but he'd use that power to revive the Legendary Pokemon Yvetal in order to cause immense destruction in the original world. Ray would use the power of her own Pokemon, in this case the four main partners of the Bracelet Girls, to summon the Legendary Pokemon Xerenas in order to restore life and defeat Yvetal. It's a shame that we don't know what the Legendary Dragon from Unova was before it split apart because that would have been perfect for Zarc. It's not a perfect fit for the Dragon Boys since it split into three Pokemon instead of four. I could see Yuya with Zekrom since it assists those who want to build an ideal world, but I don't think Reshiram and Kyurem really fit with the other Dragon Boys. Maybe the inevitable Black/White remake will expand on that legend and show what the original Unvoa Dragon looks like too.

Beyblade Trope Pantheon - Burst

This links back to the Metal Saga version I done. Coming up is a list of the people in the Beyblade Burst verse and which tropes they would represent. Also included are how the links to the unabridged version of the tropes are written, except without the links, and unless it is the generic link. I then decided to include my main OC in this, because that's basically what I do all the time in these kinds of posts. Yugo for the ask meme?

Banana boy! The idiot! The silly himself! Took me too damn long to get to this, but better late than never, I think. Here you go!

Favorite thing about them: If I had to put it in one word, that'd be tenacity. As Yuugo himself put it, he doesn't even know what giving up means, no matter what sort of adversity he faces. This persistence is honestly admirable for someone who grew up in an environment that relentlessly pushed him down at each and every turn, and it's a quality I strongly respect.

Shoutout to his baby vibes, though. Yuugo is precious and must be protected at all costs (even if I know he can damn well protect himself).

Least favorite thing about them: Yuugo's single-minded approach to things is usually endearing, but sometimes it can be rather frustrating. One such example is choosing to duel Yuuri as payback for kidnapping Rin... instead of -you know- going back to find Rin himself? I struggle to even justify that by way of magical fuckery, because as far as was shown, Yuugo was very much himself when he made that decision.

*sigh*

Favorite line: Would it be cheating the question if I say too many to count? Because it's true. This boy says the dumbest things sometimes, but he also has his sweet moments and I love every single one of those. That said, Clear Wing's summon chant deserves an honorary mention. I think it's very neat.

brOTP: Imma throw a curveball and say Yuuya. I was always intrigued by the idea of possible interactions between the two, and the interactions we got in Yuugo's Duel Links event did not disappoint at all!

I just think they're very neat together. They're both adorkable idiots who can't seem to hold the braincell right, and the small differences between them only make the dynamic more interesting. They're also a lot more perceptive than they might let on, and I think that'd lend itself well to interactions where one of the two is feeling down. I'd love to see more of these sillies together, honestly. Please let them tag together sometime.

OTP: I kid you not when I say my primary reason for shipping him with Rin is because of the ship name pun (Ringo is literally just apple in Japanese), BUT! I've come to appreciate it a lot more overtime, because it's actually pretty interesting for a cliché ship dynamic if you squint hard enough. There's a lot of ways to interpret their relationship, and a fair amount of room for emotional growth on both sides too. I think it's nice, but alas, we never really got much of it onscreen.

(That's what fanwork is for, though!)

nOTP: I don't know chief, I just don't see what's there to ship in his and Yuzu's friendship. I guess it does offer the interesting concept where they're both trying to cope with the loss of their loved one through the other, but that just.... sort of rubs me the wrong way. I see them as great friends, but nothing past that at all.

Random headcanon: I think we can all agree that Yuugo's entire demeanor just screams ADHD. Strong hyperfixation on one interest? Check. A tendency to ramble at the smallest prompt? Check. A general inability to just hold still? Check. A crippling case of constant airheadedness? Check!

He and Yuuri invented ADHD/Autism solidarity in the ARC-Verse.

Unpopular opinion: Not sure if this really classifies, but I actually really like how they handled the "Fusion" joke in the EN dub. Seeing them try and pull a new wordplay every time is mildly amusing at worst and downright hilarious at best, and my personal favorite is the one where he says his name and the Obelisk Force reply with "Yugo? You go where?"

Song i associate with them: Seeing as I've been pretty much living under a rock when it comes to actual popular songs and not obscure lyricless tracks, I'm afraid to say my limited song collection has nothing that quite fits. However, his Duel Links theme is a certified banger and I'm so glad they went with such an amazing, completely original track for the boi, because it actually goes so hard wtf-

Happy 1-Year Anniversary to Noctyx!!! ❤️🧡💛💙💜

(Personal thoughts below)

Noctyx was the wave that got me into NijiEn. I randomly came across one of Alban’s YT shorts during pre-debut, which made me look up clips out of interest. Eventually, they debuted, and I found myself liking him at the time. I don’t really watch him often due to timezones + general lack of interest, but he does have a special place in my heart for getting me to watch Vtubers.

Sonny… I don’t really watch his streams that much nowadays either due to the sheer backlog of VODs, but he’s still incredibly entertaining to me. I remember watching his debut and being awed by his lore video, and I remember just how tame he was back then compared to the absolute menace he is now.

I don’t really watch Fulgur, but I really like seeing him in collabs! The song he released last night was absolutely beautiful, even as an instrumental. I’ve been wanting to get into his streams for a while, but they’re so long and he streams so late at night… Not to mention, he plays lots of story-based games too. I like those kinds of games, but that combined with the long length of his streams kinda discourages me from watching his gaming streams… I should definitely watch his other stuff though, it seems really fun.

Any discussion of Noctyx isn’t complete without Yugo. I remember seeing his debut get delayed over multiple days and being absolutely shocked when the intro screen depicted him drowning (I thought his lore would be lighthearted to serve as a breather after all the previous angsty ones, but that clearly wasn’t the case.) Seeing him improve over time was one of his charms, and you can tell he was starting to really grow once he stopped focusing on gaming streams. It’s a shame so many people won’t be able to watch him now because he was one of the best singers! I remember waking up from a nap and suddenly seeing sad tweets from the rest of Noctyx. That was how I found out about his graduation, and I’m still somewhat salty the company was so opaque with how they broke the news. At the very least, I hope he’s in a better place now, and that he finds new opportunities.

After trying to decide who my Noctyx oshi was, I’ve decided that it’s Uki. His voice is really soothing, and I like the vibes of his streams. That said, his wilder moments are good too. I don’t watch him much due to timezones, but I do enjoy booting up his VODS in the background while doing things.

Overall, while I may not watch the Noctyx boys a lot I still really love them! May they march onward to the future!

General opinion/How much I care about them:

OH MY GOD I LOVE GONGENZAKA SO VERY MUCH HELLO???? he's super underrated, and he needed def needed more duels. in my humble opinion, he should've dueled yugo, yuto, and yuri (at different times ofc). i think it would've created a very interesting moment in the show for gongenzaka to duel yuya's other counterparts.

also him dueling with yuzu??? HELLO I LOVE!!! i don't care if this makes sense plot wise, but he should've had that moment with serena, rin, and ruri too. again, him being the best friend character and having those duels? i think it would've created such interests moments of characters... and angst too. god, i love gongenzaka.

he's one of the most slept on best friend characters in yugioh, and it makes me genuinely sad. he's so amazing, and sweet.

A ship I love:

i don't know how popular this is but... gongenzaka x sawatari.... I THINK IT WOULD BE VERY CUTE!!! i think sawatari ending up with yuya's best friend just sounds so sweet, and he would protect sawatari very much. i just... they seem so sweet together, and i just wefjhbweJHWEFJBH i think they're cute okay???

A non-romantic relationship that I love:

dennis/gongenzaka!!! i know back when arc-v was first coming out, a lot of people shipped them together. but for me i always saw them as friends!! i think dennis would bring out a more extroverted part of gongenzaka, and he would teach dennis to be less... outward loud public displays of chaos. i think they would balance each other out.

he would lay right on his back, arms to the side.... and just sleep. when he has sleepovers with yuya, yoko always thinks he might be dead. but yuya will point at gongenzaka's nose and be like: "mom look! his nose is twitching, he's breathing! he's fine."

ARC-V Month Day 11: Legacy for the Future (Belated)

Y'know... Sandwiched between two fairly negative prompt releases, it's only fair that I get to write about something more positive (Yeah my next one's gonna be the Salt one, and I intend to deliver).

So yeah... How about my thoughts on Jack Atlas... Formatted as a conversation in a fanfic?

This is going to be a midquel of my Day 5 Prompt, Alternato Adventures, of Arias of Florescence. Won't be anything heavy, just a conversation.

Comments and Criticisms are appreciated as always!

Bloom Diva had descended to the Standard Dimension in Yuzu’s place for one day, following a wish her Master made. While ill-considered, the two decided to make the most of this wish, meeting people they wished to during their time spent together, but couldn’t. Yuzu went to meet with her fellow Melodious Monsters, while Bloom Diva had an idea as to who to meet, discussing it with Yuya as they went through the streets of Maiami City.

“Hmm… This one day may be the chance to talk with Jack Atlas in person.”

“Jack? I… Really doubt it.” Yuya responded sincerely, at risk of bumming Bloom Diva out. “Even if we could travel to the Synchro Dimension… How do we find him in a day, with no appointment or something? City alone is so vast, and I don’t know if he’ll even have time for us!”

“I see… Yet, he has lost his position of King, while you have gained it. Perhaps it could make this easier…”

“Man… I don’t really know.” Yuya grew more bummed than the Choir, lost in thought at the mention of: “King… I’m not really sure I’m worthy of this position. I know I’ve beaten Jack, but it was never my intention. I don’t think I’m fit for that, and I’m not even from that Dimension! I just… Don’t think it’s the time now.”

The Fairy resigned calmly: “I understand. My apologies if I have bothered you.”

“No, no… It’s not your fault! I mean… That whole mess would have come up sooner or later anyway!”

Amidst all the apologies, she had an idea as an alternative way to meet Jack. “Yuya… Could you tell me more about Jack Atlas?”

“Uh… More?” The boy turned pensive as well, and was taken aback a bit, so he decided to back off for just a little. “Uh… I know Yuzu and I haven’t really met until Academia invaded while in the Synchro Dimension… Since you’ve been with her, what do you know?”

“The legend of Jack Atlas was told to us thanks to Yugo… Furthermore, we have attended your first Duel with him as spectators.”

“Wait, you did?! I didn’t even see Yuzu…”

“Indeed we did… And we were utterly taken aback by it.” Bloom Diva then explained to a fairly shocked Yuya: “Jack’s conduct is orderly, powerful, and ruthless. He had declared exactly how that Duel would pan out, and it all went as he planned, despite your best efforts. He still wanted to impress the audience by presenting a good showing from both Duelists… Yet he commanded that Duel the whole way through, utterly grounding you, like a king would crush an army that opposed his empire, with Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend as his champion and general.

I had dubbed it… The Symphony of the Sovereign.”

“Symphony of the Sovereign… Yeah, that’s a good title, and… An accurate review.” Yuya then proceeded to explain his side of the story. “That Duel utterly crushed me. Not only because it went exactly as he planned… But because I felt insulted, at the time. You must have heard that he shouted that my Duels were a far cry from entertainment.” The Choir nodded, allowing Yuya to go on. “Those were the teachings of my father, ridiculed in front of hundreds of thousands. But in hindsight, I realized that there was another teaching behind all of this…”

“Oh!” Yuya suddenly realized something in the middle of his thoughts. “I need to tell you this first: I haven’t thanked you or Yuzu for what you’ve done there. If it weren’t for you two, I wouldn’t have been able to go on. You two really gave it your all in your first Duel, and I meant to tell her that her feelings reached me. Well… Your feelings.”

“Think nothing of it, Yuya.” Bloom Diva responded, genuinely warmed. “I merely followed and agreed with Yuzu’s wish.”

“And you did it spectacularly! In hindsight, I bet Jack would have really enjoyed your Duel.”

“I can confirm he did. He spoke out to me personally.”

“Wait, he did?!”

“Certainly. I believe that all came down to our own Duel being sincere to him. Our own voice, as he called it. You had understood that as well… That was the other teaching.”

“Well, yes… But it wasn’t exactly instant. I actually only learned it as I fought him in the finals.”

“I see… We could not watch your Duel, unfortunately… It must have been truly remarkable.”

“It was. We both gave it our all there, but that’s not all of it.” Yuya then explained to a more interested Bloom Diva. “You see, at the time, I thought that all I needed to do was win in order to get my message across; to spread my message through dueling, and finally beat Jack. Of course, I had to do that, but even as I reached Jack in the finals, I wanted to show him that my father’s teachings were not to be mocked… And that’s where I finally realized that it had to be my own Duel, right there. I couldn’t help but feel like he goaded me into doing this, into finally beating him my own way.”

“That is what makes his conduct special.” The Choir deduced. “His tone and presence are truly commanding, befitting of a King, so much so that Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend is truly his closest companion and his grandest general. They Duel as one against all odds, even as… Deary me… Roget attempted to fabricate a Duel so he could take over City by taking control of Sergey first… Jack and Scarlight refused to abide by his corrupt Conduct, and won Sergey over, finally waking him up.

As many rulers have pride, presence and arrogance, so do they have wisdom, strong bonds and experience. And Jack displayed it all in each and every single Duel, befitting of a true King…

And I assume, by all that you told me, that he wanted you to be his successor.”

“Wow… I’m surprised you’ve gotten that, but… Yeah.” Yuya weakly commented as he searched for a Card to show the Choir. After some time, he showed the Card, in the image of a kid girl with pink hair wearing a white coat and black pants, with azure streams all over the outfit, wielding an artifact that vaguely looked like a resonator staff.

“Tuning Magician…?” The Fairy was greatly interested in this. “This looks to be a Tuner Monster. I imagine you must have gotten that in Synchro.”

“Well, it’s more like I was gifted it. In fact, this came from Jack himself.” Yuya then explained to a surprised Choir. “As I was in the penthouse, a certain butler named Sam gave this to me, and Jack had gifted it to him, and told him that it suited the role that he played. As it was an infamously weak Card, Sam took that as an insult not just to him, but to the Commons. So he gifted it to me and told me to beat him as a symbol of revenge. But in reality… I knew that this Card, and any Card, had a role to play, and I communicated this to Jack… Only to realize later that he meant that all along.

Jack’s easy to misread, but I know he has a good heart under that arrogance.

And you know what… If he wants me as his successor… Fine! I’ll do it…

To the best of my ability!” This thoughtful speech, into a rousing cry, ended with a bit of a flustered remark, with Yuya scratching himself on the back of the head, and Bloom Diva giggling.

“There is no need to rush, Yuya… You have done countless good deeds, and many good people now look up to you. Do not tire yourself out and let that smile of yours fade.”

“I won’t.”

And with this, and an eager nod of the two, the conversation ended and the walking on Maiami City continued. While Bloom Diva didn’t manage to meet Jack, she had learned more about him thanks to Yuya. And this only made her more eager to meet him, and perhaps Duel him… More likely from beneath Yuzu.

REAL THOUGH about the drama you mentioned in your tags, that's exactly how I felt reading If My Wife Becomes An Elementary School Student's title, for example, but I'm told it's wholesome☠️☠️I would love to hear about the one you were thinking of though!

I WILL BEAR IT IN MIND TO PREPARE FOR ARACHTAGON WHENEVER THE TIME COMES... totally understandable to get frustrated with RNG on top of that, RPGs can be so evil 😭😭😭still, again, I'm glad you're back to it! Also totally understandable to want to play on the original consoles... NOTHING beats the experience... the availability of playthroughs nowadays is nice for sure to be able to experience the series without investing that much!

I would LOVE to see more Normal interactions between Ichiban and Jo for real😭they have so much potential for silly moments... ever-thankful for your content and I Can't Say Enough always looking forward to whatever you might have in store :] whether it's that or something else :]

I EXPECT YOU'RE DONE WITH EPISODE EIGHT NOW AT MINIMUM SO I WILL JUST SAY the Ohashi arc and Episode Ø [<- why the hell is ep eight called this] are peak to me I am soooo glad you enjoyed the arc... LOVE the OST too, Yugo Kanno is a legend. HOWEVER all the songs on it are titled words that start with S and P so you get titles like Scarlet Pussy 😭

OH BUT SPEAKING OF SP'S WACKASS STRUCTURE pleeeeeaaaase consider watching SP: The Motion Picture and SP: The Motion Picture: The Final Episode after you finish the show... there is A Cliffhanger and those are the true conclusions to the story... and SP Final In Specific is what blew my nuts clean off...

STOPPP NO THAT'S EXACTLY THE DRAMA I WAS TALKING ABOUT BUT I DIDNT WANNA SNITCH ON MYSELF 😭😭 it really is a cute show..... im ngl it has some of my fave tsutsumi scenes/performances like it TRULY blew my expectations out of the water. i just feel SOOO awkward about it cause.. with a title like That and a premise Like That i wouldnt blame a single person for giving me a weird ass look so i generally try not to talk about it ☠️ its my guilty treat so to speak and i cant even tell if im making it sound worse than it actually is (╯x╰ )

4) Characters who kept their designs in here and Evolution will be here only (ex: Valt has an entry here but not Evolution)

Valt: 5/10. I like the jacket and the hoodie, but it’s nothing that special

Shu: 4/10. Decent, but nothing great

Training Shu: 5/10. The red and white work well together

Rantaro: 7/10. I love the jacket (which I won’t call a cape because canonically he insists it’s not). Also the pants are great

Ken: 6/10. I like the look, but feel that more could be done with it

Daigo: 5/10. Looks pretty good. My only complaint is that the purple and red are too dull to work with all the black. Either have less black, or make the purple brighter to contrast more

Ryota Kurogami: 2/10. He looks like a background character

Hoji: 2/10. It’d be a 3 because of the plain overalls, but the shoes detract a point

Wakiya: 7/10. I love the jacket with the wyverns on it

Training Wakiya: 3/10. It’s very plain

Orochi: 8/10. Dreadlocks + 4 silver rings + piano key jacket + studded pants

Xander: 8/10. Super buff dude in a crop top

Yugo: 5/10. 2 of those points come from the mohawk alone

Ukyo: 6/10. I like it, but it feels like it’s missing something

Zac: 6/10. He looks pretty good, and that choker is pretty cool

The Masked Blader: 7/10. It’s a nice mask

Gabe: 7/10. He gives off gym bro vibes

Lui: 10/10. I love the hair, and the boots, and the boa scarf

Quon: 5/10. He looks pretty good

Ben: 6/10. The mohawk and purple shorts are cool, but don’t mesh as well as one would hope

Naoki: 4/10. Nice but kinda generic

Jin: 4/10. I like hoodies worn over hats, but Jin’s design doesn’t have much going on aside from that

Akira: 1/10. The design just does not work. It’s a combination of aa bunch of different things (which aren’t that great to begin with) thrown together with absolutely no cohesion

Melos: 4/10. Kinda cool (especially for a background character) but also far from the best cat boy in the series

Haruto: 4/10. What is it with Burst and some background characters having better designs than part of the main cast?

Katana: 6/10. I like the shirt with one sleeve rolled up. And the neatly-cut pants. And the leather arm guard

Shinki: 4/10. It’s just alright

Kyo: 2/10. He looks like a background character (but not a Burst one since those tend to look good)

Mick: 3/10. I kinda like the choker but that’s it

Freddy: 3/10. Same as Mick

Bowie: 4/10. The hat improves on his teammates’ designs

Atsuto: 3/10. Looks decent enough for a background character, and in a different show his design might belong to a main character

Kyoji: 5/10. He looks good for a part of the main cast. And he’s a background character

Ichiro: 3/10. Background character that looks the part

Nika: 3/10. Really nothing special

Toko: 3/10. Almost looks like a background character

Chiharu: 4/10. Bland but decent

Momoko: 2/10. Background character that looks like a background character

Keita: 2/10. Same as Momoko

Hiroshi: 2/10. Same as Keita

Principal Shinoda: 3/10. He’s a guy in a suit. Nothing more

Himeko: 3/10. Bland background character, but the fang gives her something unique

Sasaki: 3/10. Just enough to avoid me saying they look like a background character

Shindo: 2/10. They look like a background character

Shin Komazaki: 3/10. Bland but not terrible

Hanami: 5/10. He looks pretty good

Akio: 2.10. Background character look

Raita: 3/10. Doesn’t look that great

Yoga: 3/10. Not terrible, but nothing that I’d call good

Ken Yukino: 3/10. Barely escapes the background character look

Minen: 5/10. He actually looks good

Dan: 2/10. Background character look

Majin: 3/10. Not a background character look, but close to it

Shun: 3/10. Too much purple and not enough contrast

Ryota Nasu: 3/10. Same as Shun

Kakeru: 7/10. One of the better cat boys of the series
