actually natori has some kind of tracking talisman on matoba at all times. that's how he knew where to abduct matoba from for Operation: Kitty Cat City. matoba fully knows about it; it's why he wasn't at all surprised to find a paper doll in natsume's hair after the mask youkai debacle (matoba internally as he watched it fly away: classic mother hen shuuichi-san momence 🥰). because this is matoba "boundaries? what are those? can you eat them?" seiji we're talking about, he's not bothered by this "violation" of his "privacy"; rather, he finds it fittingly clingy (it is, after all, only right that natori should be keeping tabs on him obsessively). sometimes the talisman gets confused and sticks to yesterday's outfit, so he always checks to make sure he has it on the way out the door (his pocket patdown is "keys, lighter, wallet, exorcism supplies, shuuichi-san's cute lil tracker he thinks i don't know about <3"). i wouldn't be surprised if he's figured out how to uno reverse it and now uses it to track natori's location as well. this may not technically be canon but it is probably all 100% true in an important way that transcends canon, we just never hear about it because it isn't relevant to natsume's journey 😌

hey have i talked about my life series concept in which literally everything is the same, but players get a single extra slot in their inventory. because i think it could be a bit cute.

players can pick any item and, like they would with armor or a shield, equip that item as a "keepsake". depending on the person, this could be a gift from an ally they treasure, or like. a carrot they farmed in episode 1. literally anything goes

however !!! the special thing abt this inventory slot (and what the Concept revolves around) is that the longer that any item is kept in that keepsake space, the more "power" that item has. "power" itself is a really flexible term; but from a game rules perspective, it could potentially result in changes to a player's appearance, granting a player extra abilities, etc etc. the whole idea is that these items only gain significance when players choose to care about them, and their effect on the game environment is entirely tied to what Kind of significance players give them.

#this is NOT a concept for a new series btw. this isn't something that Could be done. and i don't want to see it done in mc lol #i've just been thinking abt what opportunities you could get when transferring the ''Idea'' of the series to different games #and some of those are like. without the limitations of mc. or even the video format. what sort of things could you do? #and i like the idea of a system like this. where knowing and being known is it's own kind of power #especially in a series that is fundamentally built on so many different layers of Knowing and Knowing People #also i should clarify again that not every item would be have Incredibly Powerful Big Moments #sometimes its like. Hey this is going to spark a scene that will give us a brief story we may not have gotten otherwise

I have found a beautiful perfect humble rock specimen that is light yellow with a weird dark yellowy brown lining, somewhat resembling a chunk of smoked gouda cheese... effervescent

I have cleaned up 4 buckets of trash today.. I have helped the environment.. mayhaps.. i could take a One Single Rocke as a #treate... ANYWAY. but yeah. I don't know the names of rocks but there's a rock that's a matte muted marigold yellow sort of #color and I call them 'cheese rock'. I'm pretty sure this one is of the 'cheese rock' species but it just has weird brown coloration #like maybe it got stained or something on one side of it. Most of the other cheese rocks have no markings. though sometimes there will be a #auburn reddish sort of hue on a corner or something.. hrmm.. curious. I also got a Beginner's Hobby rock tumbler and some supplies #so I might try polishing some of the rocks from my enormous rock collection. even though they're all street rocks I picked up from sidewalk #and stuff. I saw a video where someone put random gravel and stuff in a rock tumbler and none of them were Stunning Gems or whatver #but some still turned out cool enough that I would be pleased with the result... OUgh.. I want to post more I need to like do costumes and #sculptures and stuff and be Active On Social Media and think about my Future and Career and how it always benefits artists to keep an #active social media or etc. but I just feel so tired and bad lately. I think the summer heat waves have really exhausted me. I also have #been trying to make new friends + on a weird schedule so I've been socializing and also watching media too much. 1. BBC Merlin I think this will surprise absolutely no one dfghkdf but I definitely can talk about BBC Merlin and why I love it and what makes the fanbase so enduring, etc etc for over an hour 2. Film/Show Adaptations of Books/Games This is really broad but I pretty much have talked about this for an hour so I know I can do it hdkfhg I love to analyse films and what makes the filmmaking effective, but I'm not always the most well-versed in the more practical aspects of filmmaking so what I generally focus on is the storytelling aspect of it. I can talk about that in general, but to be more specific I can definitely talk about what goes into adapting one medium to another, and why certain adaptations are good or bad (in my opinion, naturally!). 3. Game of Thrones When the show was airing I absolutely did spend hours talking about it and the theories related to it with my friends, and I feel like despite the shitty ending I still can talk about it for ages. There are just so many interesting characters and so many rich storylines and fascinating relationship dynamics to discuss, and so many debates to be had about it yet. 4. Relationship Anarchy I don't know if I could just straight-up monologue about it for an hour, but I definitely could talk about it for more than an hour if there's a back-and-forth going on with someone. I personally believe it's a great way of thinking about relationships and a way to make society work for everyone and their own individual needs. I feel like a lot of people aren't familiar with the concept and what it entails, and between explanations, counter points, and an exploration into the concept itself I could definitely go on about it haha 5. Asian Dramas I know this is pretty general but I've definitely seen enough of them to go on about them for over an hour. It would be fun to potentially even discuss the difference in styles between dramas from different countries

i’ve been trying to get through hoh for literally like a week now but it’s so hard bc the way my fave nico is treated is absolutely ABYSMAL and i know it only gets worse

#personal #even hazel being like ‘yeah he’s hard to get along with’ or whatever she said #every single non-tartarus perspective has had at least one reference to this #and like i understand the reasons it’s not that it’s that it highlights this issue i have with a lot of the characters in that series which #is that i don’t like them. and that’s so different for me bc i actually usually find that my two favorite characters in anything are the tw #that don’t like each other? unrelated to that dynamic usually mostly but still within it #but that’s not even what the dynamic is yk. #and it’s just the whole thing overall like in the last book there was one part where these two characters who are supposed to be good #friends are separated and one makes a comment about how annoying (or something along those lines) she finds the other which. #i’m vaguely aware of what happens in toa so i think you could argue something about that but read on its own bc i don’t want to make that #argument without fully grasping where her character goes #it just kinda reinforces this… vibe to the whole series that was not nearly as present in the first series of like. really overemphasized #like gender roles/heterosexuality/etc. i can’t think of the word to use to describe it. i’ve seen other ppl talk about the parts that add u #to the whole that i’ve seen but never synthesize them. and it really varies between actually insidious and simply not my taste which is par #of the reason i hesitate to make a full critique out of it. but suffice to say i really don’t like it #with that being said the pacing of this book is really good and i am compelled to finish based on the themes i do find interesting #autonomy being a huge one #but anyway those are my thoughts on it after a few days of a break. i’ve been playing a video game instead :3 but i start work on wednesday #sooo i won’t have as much free time boo #looking back maybe ‘insidious’ is a very strong word for it. i’m talking about like when percy complains about the bag and similar moments
