"That shirt..." Phantom said slowly. There expression on his face was one Sam couldn't quite place.

"This?" she asked, pulling on the collar with a frown. "What about it?"

Phantom cleared his throat and pulled his hand back. He scratched at the back of his neck, looking away before he slowly returned his gaze back to Sam.

"It's just... unique. Where'd you get it?" he asked after a short pause.

"From a Circus Gothica show years ago," Sam replied, going back crossing her arms across the window sill. She gave a smirk. "The one where the ghost's were terrorizing the town by stealing all of the jewelery."

Phantom's eyes widened and his cheeks got a light shade of green. An odd color for a blush.

"Yeah, well," he began with a chuckle. "I was being brainwashed. It was a whole thing." He shook his head as if he was remembering something ridiculous. "Maybe I'll tell you about it someday. But, uh, is that spray paint?"

Sam gave a glance down at the shirt. She'd never actually thought about it, but yes, now that she actually properly looked at her night shirt, it was covered in black spray paint to the point where you could barely see the original underneath. She could spot some red and definitely splotches of white here and there, though.

"Yes, it was a wild time. Maybe I'll tell you about it someday," she said, leaning down on her arms and smiled.

Phantom's eyes softened and he leaned forward, resting his arms on his knees. "Sure. I'd like that."

fun fact: alice liddell is the name of the person lewis carroll's stories were inspired by. turns out though, carroll was actually like. a child predator and he was creeping on alice (as well as her 2 other sisters)

so that's probably why american mcgee chose to use the name "alice liddell" for the video game character, with the themes in the game (especially with dr bumby having sexually abused alice's sister lizzie), rather than the more commonly used "alice kingsleigh" that i think (?) originated in the disney movie?

Rewatching ppg episodes is making me comprehend facts I already knew! Like the fact that Mojo& The Professor created the ppg while Mojo&Him created the rrb. Why is he technically big brother uncle daddy to both sets of these kids?!! 😭

Like I know in fandom the general acceptance had been he's the powerpuffgirls' adoptive elder brother while for the rowdyruffboys he's one half of a parental set unit after Him revives them anew.

But look at their family tree!

Nothing makes sense, no one is blood related, but they are all technically family...somehow!!

And if we bring up the fact that Him has been caught live and in person licking the Professor like a lollipop, the Professor only viewing Mojo as his son formerly known as Jojo when the monkey pled his case, the rrbs looking identical to the ppgs down to the color coordination, and Bubbles canonically having some kind of crush on her male lookalike for fake but actually cousin/brother doppleganger...

It's a lot.
