Where the Snow Takes Us...thoughts??
I caught up/finished this....AMAZING fic...
I have NOTHING but high praises for this story. Thank you so much author for providing us your fantastic story.
99% of the time I had the BIGGEST smile on my face while reading this. The Love and Care of their characters just...breaks through your screen and immediately takes root in your mind.
(more under the cut) (mostly just me rambling)
I'm gonna try to be vague JUST IN CASE.
The 1% was me fucking CRYING. FUCK. I mentioned it before but the entirety of the scene where they go to the airport together KILLED ME. It legit brought up the time where I had to go through something similar to that and ugh. I forgot those....powerful feelings and those memories and feelings (and story) CLUNG to my damn head all day.
The pining was expected honestly. lol. makes sense. I just didn't really expect the length of it. it is (currently) 35 chapters long and I expected some length before something lol. What i didn't know is that this story, essentially, has seasons.
i THINK I can boil it down to 3 or 4, depending on how you view story beats.
Season 1 was probably my favorite. It sets up everything. Everything you WANT in a slow burn and honestly met all expectations in those regards. The author also *did the thing* where they put the title in the story.
I hated season 2. NOT because it was bad or poorly written or whathaveyou. It was the entirety of the situation. The pain it caused me lol.
[SMALL SPOILER: The connection it had with the real series kinda hit me in the face once I kinda realized. The 3 years. the letters. it was honestly really well done]
Season 3 just fucking melts your heart and kicks ass. And I HAVE to spoil this because of the immense feelings I had. BUT KORRA WINNING THE OLYMPICS. I HONESTLY CHEERED I HONESLTY CRIED. THE BIGGEST SMILE ON MY DUMB FACE. I WAS SO PROUD OF IT ALL. One of my favorite scenes had one of my absolute favorite lines in it. I left a comment that was just me screaming lol. (the author was probably confused when they read it lol)
"A few clouds traveled lazily across the blue, blissfully ignorant of the life changing events that had just transpired below. Just as they’d done eight years ago,..."
FUCK. THAT'S GOOD.
And while I said season 1 was my favorite, season 3 is probably the most fulfilling portion of the story to me.
Season 4 (maybe? depending on how you look at it lol) is where we are left off. We are dealing with reality checks. We're dealing with the, in my opinion, the must surreal amount of realism, in the non fiction sense. It slaps you in the face. lol.
And we're left on a different kind of cliff hanger. No real life or death scenarios or a "will she say yes" like deal. But one that. pricks your brain on what the possibilities be. While it's more than likely resolved, i kinda see how it can be turned (even though there's 2 chapters left lol) but all that's left after all of this is what's next for our favorite couple.
honestly, after my dumb ramblings all that's really really left to say is that I am GLAD I've read this. I know that I can't do Roll with the Punches, the fucking hurt I experienced from Where the Snow Takes Us, I would imagine, would utterly be eclipsed with RWTP. In this story, the trip to the airport, took me about a day to get over it. lol.
The author has a real talent with their writing. The moods they can capture, the characters, their individual stories, the scenes come to life I tell you.
If you're reading this still. I'm sorry for my dumb ramblings and thank you so much for doing so. Read it if you haven't already. Give it props, leave comments, share it.
My only complaint....there's no more snow. put it back. there's no more snow to take them.

WHY AM I CRYING WHILE WATCHING SHORESY??????
I HATED HIM. NO LOL

My #1 post of 2022
I just wanted to say
I loved the Bob's Burgers movie. Animation was beautiful and I couldn't stop from tapping my foot. And i'm REALLY glad that i'm not in the minority. It has a 86% on rotten tomatoes (95% audience score). And like. the biggest part of it for me is that I ACTUALLY want to rewatch it. I don't really do that for movies until much later.
I guess it's mostly because it's like just a (VERY LONG) episode of the show, it has that rewatchability. But there's like...5 or 8 scenes I just want to rewatch right now lol

Do you intend to have Wan as a semi-major character or give him an arc, learning to do the afterlife mentor thing? There's so much fascinating potential there!
Wan is going to be a major character, much more prominent than Roku was for sure! However, as far as other things go, those are spoilers. But we’ll see Wan grow and learn even after his own era. We’re definitely going to do a lot with him that is definite. But that’s all I’m going to say.

She sighed, scooching away so she could rest her head on Korra’s shoulder. “I guess… it’s just… it’s easier to be distracted.” “Easier than what?” Black hair shifted as her head shook. “Easier than not being distracted. I…” Korra squeezed Asami’s hand. Asami closed her eyes. “If I… I can’t…”
i  have been asked by @thewillowtree3 to do a little fan art for the fic found and finding, written by the very talented @threehoursfromtroy ^^
i wish you the best of luck and a quick recovery!

You field so much bullshit and negativity here on tumblr, so I have to ask...What's a movie or show you've really enjoyed lately? What's something that's made you smile, that you've recommended to friends? All the work you do on tumblr is fantastic, but you should get to have some simple, fannish fun once in a while, too!
First, you should know that writing here is part of me learning how to have a better balance in my life and it’s one of the reasons I’ve shifted away from the argument. Yes, I know I keep picking fights with bullies, but I’m really trying to avoid doing that and I get a lot more out of writing simple debunks that help people recognize the manipulative nature of some people’s arguments.
Not going to lie, this week was kinda hell with how much harassment and bullshit I saw on my dashboard.
However, to anwer your question, this:
youtube
I like critical analysis and this video perfectly explores one of the themes that made me love Cloud Atlas so much. I unabashedly love Cloud Atlas and it is one of my favorite films ever. It has an amazing emotional thread, fantastic acting, some of the most creative editing I’ve ever seen, and is all in all a beautiful and expertly made film.
I’m also going to point out something about it that comes up whenever I see people talk about Cloud Atlas:
Cloud Atlas is the only film I can think of where I will argue with criticisms dependent on blackface or asianface. The film doesn’t just fail to invoke them, criticizing those tropes is one of the central themes of the movie. It’s telling a story about the universal worth of all human beings, the evils of white supremacy and the general horror of consuming other people to nourish one’s self, and the capacity of human beings to overcome their fundamental bigotry to do the right thing and protect the diversity of human life.

Two Weeks
Just a little something for @threehoursfromtroy as she recovers from surgery! And props to @thewillowtree3 for putting this all together!
I wish you all the best, Shannon, and I hope you enjoy! :))
They have a routine. It’s the only thing that keeps Korra from falling off the deep end.
The sun is glaring through her window. She hasn’t slept, and the light in her eyes hurts more than it warms. It reminds her of fire. Fire reminds her that the elements are lost to her, again.
There’s a dull pain, throbbing along the limbs she can still feel. There’s medicine for it, but Korra hates the way it tastes. Sometimes she can’t bring herself to try it. Sometimes she sets it aside, and no one says anything.
Outside her window, a sparrowkeet lands on the spindly little tree branch closest to the temple wall. This is the beginning of her routine. She knows because every day that same bird lands on that same branch as the sun blinds her. Every day she wakes from fleeting hours of fitful sleep and is reminded in some way of the elements. Yesterday it was a sharp intake of breath. The day before, the glass of water on her bedside table. She’s sure that tomorrow will be more of the same.
Next, she sits in bed in silence. She feels whatever pain her nerves offer for as long as it takes for her mother to open the sliding wooden door. She pads in quietly, and Korra thinks that maybe her mother hopes that one day her silence will be worth something. That she’ll enter and find her daughter soundly asleep.
“Good morning, sweetie,” she says. It’s gentle, and Korra appreciates her tone, but she doesn’t have the energy to speak. “I brought some of Pema’s steam buns.”
If she could, she would nod. She doesn’t.
Her mother sets the food on her bedside table, leans down to press a kiss to her forehead. It’s for comfort, yes, but Korra has come to realize that it’s also to take her temperature. She wants to appreciate this, but the energy just isn’t there.
“Is there anything I can get for you, Korra?”
Korra says nothing. She’s ashamed by it, but she can’t bring herself to look at her mother. She knows that it’s breaking her heart, but there’s nothing she can do. Nothing she has the power to do.
But this is all part of the routine. The shame and the silence.
Her mother leaves her with the food and another kiss, and she always promises to be back when Korra needs her. But Korra doesn’t know what she needs. All she knows is that she’s bound to a bed.
She sits in silence for a long time afterwards. After her mother is her father, with a hug and a kiss to her temple. After her father is Tenzin, who never knows what to say, but chats aimlessly. Sometimes Meelo and Ikki and Jinora come to talk about their days, and Korra uses whatever energy she can muster to smile. And after, when the sun is just out of sight of her window, it’s Asami with her wheelchair.
“Hey, you,” she says, not with a forced brightness like some of the others, but with a gentle lilt that Korra appreciates. Asami is the only one who never speaks to her with pity. “I spotted that bird you told me about. I think we could feed it, if you’d like to go outside. I brought some crackers.”
It’s difficult now, looking people in the eye, and Asami is both the easiest and hardest person to do so with. Today, she decides she can, and she’s met with such openness and such care—she’s not sure if she regrets making the choice or not.
“Or we could stay here. I went to the library too.” She reaches into a bag she’s set down on the seat of Korra’s wheelchair. “Nothing too interesting, but I did find a book on fluid dynamics that I can read to you, if you want to fall asleep.”
It’s a joke, and Korra watches Asami smile to herself as she leafs through the massive tome. In that moment, Korra wants so desperately to laugh. She wants to feel that joy, that mirth—but instead of laughter, she feels emotion well up at the back of her throat.
Asami looks up from her book for Korra’s answer, and her expression falls.
This is part of the routine, too.
Asami sits on the edge of the bed, taking one of Korra’s hands in her own. Her other reaches up to wipe the tears away. Her hands are rough, calloused with use, but they’re gentle.
When Asami comforts her like this, when she feels her hands trying to soothe the pain away, rather than seeing the scene she can’t stop replaying in her mind’s eye—Korra aches. All over. It’s a much duller ache than the ones in her legs or her back or her arms, but she can’t think on it for long enough to find where it stems from. When she thinks about it, she can’t decide whether she wants Asami closer or for her to leave entirely.
But she doesn’t speak much these days, so Asami stays.
Some days, Asami tries to make light conversation, if for no other reason to fill the silence. Korra watches her—the picture of composure—until she realizes that, under the surface, Asami is anything but composed. In her introspection and her silence, Korra notices the little cracks in her facade, and then ruminates on how all of them are her own fault.
Asami picks at her cuticles. Korra isn’t sure if she’s always done it, but when they sit together in silence, she sees the sharp little movements. Later, when she takes her hands, she sees where she’s been damaging her own skin. It hurts to see, because the last thing Korra wants is any of her friends to be wounded like her. But of course, she says nothing. She just stares down at where Asami has taken her hand this time, and notices again.
Asami’s hand is still on her face. She smooths back Korra’s hair.
“My favorite color is blue.”
Korra frowns, she can’t help it. “What?” she says, her voice rough with disuse. It reminds her of why she doesn’t speak.
“My favorite color is blue,” Asami repeats, softer this time, “but it doesn’t look good on me. So I don’t wear it.”
Korra watches her for a long moment. This is new. This isn’t part of the routine.
“My birthday’s in autumn,” Asami says, “two weeks after the equinox.”
That’s interesting. She didn’t know that. She listens.
Asami drops the hand that had been on Korra’s cheek, placing it over where her other hand covers Korra’s. She smiles down at their hands before she speaks again. “My favorite kind of tea is ginseng. I drink it every morning.”
She hadn’t known that either. She imagines Asami in the mornings, sipping her ginseng tea as she gets ready for the day. It’s a foreign thought. She’s never imagined Asami looking any less made-up than she is before her.
“I learned how to drive at ten.”
It genuinely hurts her face, but Korra can’t help but smile. She catches Asami’s eyes, and she smiles back. It’s gone as soon as it had come, but it leaves Korra feeling just a little lighter.
“And I used a welding torch for the first time when I was seven.”
She doesn’t smile this time, but she wants to. She imagines a much smaller Asami, struggling with a torch and mask.
“There’s laws against learning… most of things I learned to do. As a kid.”
But you wouldn’t be as amazing as you are without all that, Korra thinks, and it’s the first full sentence she’s thought of in a week.
“I’m sure the same could be said for you,” Asami says, a smile evident in her voice.
It could, but Korra doesn’t say anything, she just nods.
They sit in silence for a while. Korra stares down at where their hands are joined. After a moment, Asami breaks from their routine again. She leans forward, gently pressing one hand to the back of Korra’s head, and she presses her lips to Korra’s forehead. It’s so gentle and done with such care that for a fraction of a moment, Korra forgets about everything that’s happened.
When she leans back, she just smiles as easily as ever, and it ruins Korra.
-
“What’s better: whale blubber or yak blubber?”
“You have been reading.”
Asami smirks, angles her head up towards Korra. She’s taken to doing this—laying her head on Korra’s lap. It’s nice, because now she has more feeling in her legs, although movement is still far-off. Asami’s head is a welcome weight.
“Only a little,” she confides, “I wanted to know what kinds of things you do back home.”
Korra notices the change in Asami’s tone. She’s told her about her plans, about her respite to the South. Asami had taken the news… not well, but not terribly. Korra hadn’t been sure what to think of her reaction then, and now, with the easy affection and the weeks of closeness, she wonders if she’s made the right decision. Even if she hasn’t, she can’t turn back.
She’s not sure of how to react to the change in her friend. She leans her head back against the wall with a soft thump. “Whale blubber,” she says, and it feels false.
Asami hums. “They both sound terrible.”
Korra smirks. “Says you, city girl.”
“That’s right,” Asami says, and her tone is playful and a little indignant, “says me.” There’s a longer pause before Asami speaks again, but when she does, it’s gentler, “Have you liked it here?”
Here, where? Air Temple Island? In this bedroom with Asami’s head on her lap? No. She knows what Asami means, but she can’t help but think of the her little room and the sounds of the waves outside.
“I think so,” she says, and feels more honest than her assertion on whale blubber, “I do miss home sometimes.”
She gets to feel Asami nod, which lightens her mood. She looks down at her friend. Her eyes are closed, and Korra notices that they move ever so slightly under her eyelids. Her mouth ever so slightly open—her red lipstick beginning to fade after a long day. Korra figures it’s because the rest of her makeup has begun to fade too, but she notices a spattering of faint freckles along her cheekbone. Only one—her left—and Korra wonders if she covers them up because they’re uneven.
Without thought, she brushes shaky fingers over her cheek. The moment she touches Asami’s skin, her eyes open, and Korra notices just how green they are.
“You have freckles.”
Asami smiles. It’s so gentle, and her eyes soften too. “I do,” she says, “I have them on my shoulder too.”
Korra doesn’t ask, but she wants to, and it seems that Asami picks up on that. She sits up, and there’s a moment where her hands fumble with the buttons of her collared shirt that Korra feels more aware than she has in two weeks. Two weeks of having her thoughts so far away narrows to the dusting of freckles that Asami reveals on the highest point of her shoulder. It’s then that Korra is struck with the impulse to touch them. She doesn’t. That, she thinks in a moment of strange clarity, might be too much.
Asami pulls her shirt back into place. She smiles at Korra. “I also have one on my butt, but maybe you should just trust me on that one.”
Korra laughs, and the noise startles Asami for a moment before the two of them dissolve into giggles. It’s been so long since she’s laughed, so long since she’s felt the joy she does when Asami wipes at her eyes after they’ve quieted and leans against Korra’s side.
“Is penguin sledding better than regular sledding?”
“Oh, so much better,” she says, and the way Asami’s eyes light up at her response ignites something deep inside her. In that moment, she wants to promise Asami that she’ll take her one day, but promises aren’t something she can manage just yet. She can’t commit to a future when her recent memory is flooded with pain and suffering and—
Asami takes her hand, almost as if she’d been reading her mind—“We’ll go,” she says, “one day soon.”
One day soon. She smiles at Asami.
She can do that.
Read it here on AO3, and read Shannon’s works here!
Much love and a speedy recovery!!

For @threehoursfromtroy. Thank you for being a staunch writer in the Korrasami fandom! You’ve been such a great influence in keeping the Korra community alive and well. Without people like you, this fandom surely wouldn’t be as great as it is today.
And Now My Favorite Color Is Blue

Slight AU. Avatar universe/setting, Korra and Asami have yet to meet. Divergence from canon meeting. Book 1 timeline, no Amon stuff.
Asami regretted her decision to join the gym as soon as she entered the double doors. A cloud of sweat and heat hit her like a satomobile, and she had yet to set foot in the gym. The front area had some seats, their fabrics worn down over the years from all the use and little care. The giant, wall to wall windows drained the color from the couches against the wall. Though, who would really want to sit in the sweltering heat of the sun beaming through the windows, while enjoying the musk of all the lads working out?
She could have decided to workout in her own private gym - a luxury afforded by her father and his company - but she already spent so much time alone. Either doing her work in her personal office, of training in her sparring in her very own sparring room. She ate dinner alone most nights as her father was far too busy with work to join in for more than it took to enjoy a few bites before running off to make another deal. It was all getting dull, and so very lonely. She really needed to get out of the house.
But looking out at the gym before her, she reconsidered her options. The cardio area seemed sparse compared to the weights section, where the men had gathered and were tossing weights around as if it were a competition. Asami felt as if she had just walked into a zoo, where the monkeys were throwing things around and howling out their personal bests.
She took up a spot in the corner, away from the chaos at the center of the weight floor. By now she had gotten used to the strange smells, and even the obnoxious heat paid her little problems. Working around cars at least had its perks, heat and cold were no problem to her. The sounds around her were startling, though, and she couldn’t help but jump at every loud clang of the weights.
Pushing all of that aside, she got to work. She was here to improve on her sparring capabilities, not dawdle at every sight and sound. She set to work on some simple shoulder exercises, and after a few minutes felt herself at ease. Maybe coming here wasn’t so much of a bad idea after all?
“You’re not doing that right, how about I give you a tip.” Asami felt the person before she even saw them as a man came up behind her. She spun around before he could grab ahold of her elbows in an attempt to dole out ‘advice’. He had placed himself so close she could feel his body heat radiating off of him.
“Excuse me?” Asami bit back, taking a few steps backwards to get the man out of her space. It was incredibly rude.
“You’re going to get too big doing stuff like that.” The man replied, trying again to get closer to show Asami how to do the exercise. He reached out to grasp Asami’s arm, intending to show her the ‘right’ way. “Guys don’t like that, you know.” Asami pulled her arm out of his reach easily, anger bubbling in her chest like molten fire.
He was cut off by a wicked punch to the arm. Asami blinked hard as she turned to see just what was going on. Striking handsome, tanned, and muscular, Asami thought at first that another one of these gym bros had interrupted the other, but upon a closer look it was not a gym bro. Well, at least not a conventional one.
“She doesn’t want any advice from you, chicken legs.” The tanned woman rubbed at her knuckles after the swift punishment she had just given. Her striking blue eyes stood out against the dirt and grit of the gym like a diamond in the rough, and despite the aggression, a smile lit her face like none she had ever seen.
“Back off Korra.” The man meekly said, despite his previous bravado. He was nursing his sore arm now.
“C’mon, leave the lady alone. Can’t have you scaring away all the pretty little things around here. All that we’ll have left will be the ugly mugs like you.” This woman, Korra as she had been called, turned to give Asami a small smile.
Pretty?! A faint blush ghosted over Asami’s face.
Before Asami could get a word in to thank the kind stranger, Korra was already pushing the guy along, back towards the chaos at the center of the gym where the other gym bros hooted and hollered at his failed flirting. Meanwhile, Korra seemed to still be chiding some of the men around her about not bothering the ladies around the gym.
Asami turned back towards her weights, feeling far more flustered than before. As she got back to her exercises she couldn’t help but keep glancing in the mirror, towards the direction of a beautiful, tanned woman.

Asami somehow found the time to make it to the gym, day after day and week after week, despite her work load with the family business. She tried to convince herself that she had just found a good groove at the gym. That the lifting was just a great way to relieve stress. That she was starting to enjoy the crowds and the old machinery…
She really tried to think that, but really. There was one reason she was still going, and she was big, buff, and tanned.
Korra, as she had learned, was actually the Avatar. The Avatar that had not been out of the Southern Water Tribe lands for years, and yet was now here working out at a random, run-down gym in Republic City. Perhaps Asami had just neglected the morning paper, but surely this would have been huge news?
In between sets Asami spent a lot of time observing the young Avatar. It was purely for business purposes, of course. A great business women and inventor needed to be curious and watchful. Korra was a bit awkward, yes, but she was amazingly kind and sweet. And that smile! That laugh!
‘My team could use an Avatar.’ Asami would think to herself. ‘To add a benders’ perspective and showcase the new models, and maybe go out to lunch and…’
A flash of blue and Asami suddenly realized she had been staring. Very obviously. At Korra. Who had definitely noticed.
“Oh spirits.” The Inventor muttered under her breath as she spun around on her heel and began doing whatever machine was closest to her.

Another week had passed, somehow without another embarrassing incident on Asami’s part. She would still sneak her coy glances at the tanned woman every now and again, but today was different. Today Korra wasn’t at the gym.
‘I’m sure the Avatar has business she needs to attend to. The gm can’t be everything.’ Still, Asami chewed her lip as she continued her exercises.
Then another day went by, and another, and the young water tribe girl had yet to make another appearance.
The gym just wasn’t the same without Korra around. The bro’s walked around unhindered, flirting freely and taking up much more space than they had before. And maybe it was just her imagination, but the gym seemed so much more dim.
Halfway through her workout, Asami decided it was time to go. Nothing felt right, the weights just felt too heavy and a cloud of worry fogged her mind. No progress was going to be made today.
On the way out she noticed an employee doodling at the front desk. It seemed like a long shot to ask, but it felt worth it to at least give it a shot.
“Hey, about the Avatar. About this tall,” Asami waved her hand a few inches shorter than the top of her head, “tanned, water tribe colors. Does she still attend this gym?”
At first the young man at the desk frowned. It surely was against company policy to talk about gym members, but recognition dawned over his face as he realized just who was speaking to him. “Oh, Mrs. Sato! Yes, uhm..” He pulled at the collar of his shirt as he worked up the nerve to fudge the rules just a little bit.
“You see, the Avatar, uh, Korra, she is delinquent on her membership fees… And, well, our policy and everything.” He looked back down at the paper he had previously been doodling on and quickly pushed it out of view. “We had to inform the Avatar she could no longer work out at this facility.” He finished quickly.
A long, pregnant pause followed.
“You’re telling me that you kicked THE Avatar out of the gym?” Asami carefully said.
“Er, my manager, yes.”
“The Avatar that could be a mascot for this gym? The Avatar that could be helping you gain new members?”
“Mrs. Sato-”
“Korra, who could be the sole reason why I-, er, people would be working out at this gym?”
“Mrs. Sato!”
“I mean, why would anyone want to visit this gym now? It’s just not a sound business decision. If I were your manager, I would be letting Korra work out here for free. In fact, I’ll pay her membership fees right now! This place just isn’t as great without her-”
“Mrs. Sato!” The attendant finally managed to break Asami away from her small rant long enough to point just behind her. “Perhaps you would like to talk to her yourself rather than me.”
Asami froze while a cold sweat beaded at her forehead. Sure enough, turning to look behind her she found the woman herself, a light blush dusting her face as she played with a small bag in her hands.
“Thats… uh, well.” Korra began, one hand coming up to play with the bottom of her bangs. “I actually came back to pay my fees. I just barely got my money from the pro-bending stuff.” She scuffed a foot back and forth, her blush getting deeper as she spoke. “It took a little longer than I thought.”
It took every ounce of her courage to speak, but Asami managed to meekly hold her hand up. “No, no. Let me cover your fees.” The engineer thought she would faint from embarrassment as she gently pushed Korra’s outstretched hand, her tiny money bag clutched in her fist, back towards her chest. “I think you deserve spending your win on something else.”
Without another word to Korra, Asami spun back towards the desk, quickly handing the man her business card. “Please inform your manager that I would like to negotiate paying for the Avatar’s gym fees for as long as she would like to attend this gym.” And with that, she did as any cool, calm, and collected business woman would do.
She ran out of the gym.

The next day was tough, but Asami managed to get herself to the gym. Despite her previous embarrassment and dread of having to face Korra again, she found herself scanning the gym for the aforementioned muscled woman who was nowhere to be found at the gym.
‘Great, you scared her off.’ Asami groaned as she slumped against the wall. A light tap on her shoulder made her jump nearly a foot into the air, but that mild scare was nothing compared to the flip her stomach did when she turned to face bright, blue eyes.
“Hey there Asami.” Korra said, a finger scratching at her own cheek. “I asked that guy what your name was.” She quickly added as Asami gaped, at a complete loss for words.
Korra pulled a hand out from behind her, a bouquet of bright red hibiscus clutched in trembling fingers. “I wanted to thank you for helping me out, and I was thinking that maybe we could go get some noodles together?”
Asami gently took the flowers and held them against her chest. She could feel herself blushing from head to toe at the accidental, huge compliment Korra had given her by choosing these flowers.
“I would love to.” She finally managed. “These are absolutely beautiful, and really, one of my favorite flowers, thank you.”
Korra grinned, her features beaming. “It was a lucky guess really. I figured your favorite color was red and I went from there.”
Asami leaned her nose down into the flowers, letting their smell ease her rapidly beating heart.
“Well, I’d say that now my favorite color is blue.”
