This is probably Too Niche, but to the vivid dreamers out there: do you ever get nostalgic for a place from your dreams that isn't real? I have recurring locations in my dreams that just. don't exist. And I find myself thinking about them or having "memories" about them even though they don't exist and never have. But they're real in my heart even though I'll never go there.
(tell me about these places in the tags, I'm so curious)
ahh, look, look!! in the 1980 sesame street book “Don’t Forget the Oatmeal!”, miss piggy is pictured on one of the magazines!! i love these kind of references so so much.
do you know of any good responses for when cishets call people gay as an insult? also love your blog and it’s helped me a lot!
I'm glad my blog has helped!!!
Not gonna lie here, I've actually never been called gay as an insult. I've been mistaken for being gay pretty often though. (We love wearing mens clothes and short hair in this house though lol)
But the best response I've ever had to any insult is simply 'yeah, so?' or 'Okay, and?'. It kinda takes the the insult down a notch by acting like you are not affected by it
Though of course anyone who has experienced this specific problem is welcome to share your thoughts in the notes!!!!!
The Bag Clothed in Fire- a short comic about a haunted bag. The story and text are from Arctic Explorations: The Second Grinnell Expedition in Search of Sir John Franklin, 1853, ‘54, ‘55, Vol. 2 by Elisha Kent Kane.
Kane’s ship, the USS Advance, was trapped in the Arctic ice from 1853-1855, and at this point in the narrative, all members of his remaining crew were suffering from survey and other illnesses. The haunted bag was not the only ghost sighting that night; Kane reports that “Honest Tom Hickey” also spotted a wraith in the form of a missing crewmate
