Thrull, Feral Abomination

Once the Thrulls had routed all other life from Sarpadia, what ultimately became of them is a mystery. No one has gone to the continent and returned to tell the tale, which indicates the Thrulls are still there, growing and evolving with each new generation, mastering new and terrifying forms. Some of these Thrulls have moved past Sarpadia and can be found in other areas of Dominaria, such as the swamps of Urborg.

The Feral Abomination is one such example of the modern Thrull, a hulking vicious monstrosity, larger than a house and completely wild, a far cry from the small and meek Thrulls first bred by Endrek Sahr. Feral Abominations trudge through swamps, crushing anything that gets in their way. The most dangerous aspect of them however, is their life draining touch. Anything a Feral Abomination touches withers and dies, assuming it doesn't get crushed into paste first.

Relationship Headcanons for Thrull (tlkoe. I made this because I'm down bad for this scaly fuckass)

-- His species are ferociously loyal to their partners; cheating is no option with them. If you tell him of a previous partner that has betrayed/abused you in that sense, or any other sense; there's a fair chance he'll reign hell on them.

-- If someone has sexual/romantic intentions with you; he won't hesitate to make it known that you're with him. He's definitely a biter, to say the least.

-- Where he's from; bringing your potential partner a small trophy of the most recent kill is a sign of respect! Basically, i'm saying: The bigger the trophy he's kind enough to help you obtain; the more down-bad he is.

-- He maintains an air of mystery throughout the relationship; this is mostly because he doesn't want you getting mixed up in the rituals he does. He'd never forgive himself if you got hurt because of him.

-- May god help us all; if he can't find you within 12 hours of your (hypothetical) disappearance, or you're injured/dead. He would rip and tear through anything his body would let him; at least until he was with you again.

-- "... Trust me, love. If anyone even dared to scathe you; not even the Ancients themselves could stop me.."

-- He's actually really talkative, when you get him to open up! It's honestly cute how big of a dork he is; when you two are alone. He gets all giddy n shit when the two of you go on about astrology

-- Dude's paternal instincts are fucking WILD. The thought of having/adopting a child (or two, optimally) with you drives the man nuts! He actually used to be really good with kids; before he was hardened by warfare.

-- He's eerily gentle with you; this is most noticeable when he comes back covered in something's blood, and he picks you up bridal-style, and then he was the warmest smile on his face!!

Thrull, Necrite

"Sending a Necrite to kill someone sends a message. That message is 'I want you dead, but I don't consider you important enough to hire a real assassin, so have a Necrite.' Honestly its kind of an insult."

Necrites are Thrulls that were bred to carry out assasinations. They are bred to be stealthy and armed with special blades infused with necromantic energy not dissimilar to those employed by the Red Wizards of Faerun. Upon creation each Necrite is imprinted with the face of their intended victim and general knowledge of their location, and from that point forward are obsessed with tracking down and killing that target.

Of course, even the Order of the Ebon Hand realized that creating Thrulls with the specific job of killing things might be a dangerous prospect, so each Necrite has a built in fail safe; Once the Necrites target is dead (or the Necrite believes the target is dead) they will immediately perish, dissolving into a foul smelling ichor not dissimilar from the morass that spawned them. In addition their enchanted dagger will lose its dead properties, becoming a normal blade. Many an attempted Necrite assassination has been thrown off by application of the Feign death spell.

At first I thought the eyes-on-the-cloak aesthetic was just noted-exhibitionist Dread Cantor Tourach's thing. But taking a closer look at the new art on Endrek Sahr, master breeder, and it looks like it might be an Order of the Ebon Hand thing now.

I am a Fallen Empires fan from way back, a weird little niche for someone who wants us to go back to a free autonomous commune of thrulls on Sarpadia one day.
