Oo what about cHannah?

I'm just getting increasingly enraptured with her. Summaries for lore are helpful but going back and rifling through old vods gives me such deeper impressions of their characters. She talked about how she's aware of how women and femininity are usually ignored and underestimated and how she actively plays up femininity in her builds and general vibe so she can catch them off guard and kill them more easily, and also how her evil lair thing under her base isn't representative of her either and is exaggerated partially as an intimidation tactic. It's interesting to me how these things aren't necessarily 'acts' but that she leans into certain aspects of her personality while masking others depending on the situation. It's also more apparent in more subtle things like her level of politeness, how much she insults people, whether or not she makes an effort not to swear, etc. I think it's fun that she is a person who will insult and argue with you more if she likes/trusts you and I think it's an interesting and subtle level of guardedness for her character.

I also think it's interesting how much she enjoys fighting. Some characters like the feeling of violence or control or vengeance but she enjoys the act of fighting and it like. is very neat to think abt seriously. When she's running around on the first day she thinks its stupid that she's fighting zombies, not because they're irritating but because she thinks they're below her to fight. She lists her ability to kill other people with pride and a main core fact about her. The context to her joining the server is her losing in a fight to Dream but beating Punz. She is actively excited to fight Sapnap when Puffy tells her about him. She gets into repeated rematch fights with Punz outside his house. I think the only other character I've seen on the SMP that actually likes fighting as much as her is maybe Techno.

I also am fascinated by what Hannah's afraid of and what she's not afraid of. She's terrified of cave spiders because they've killed her in her previous hardcore worlds. When she and puffy get trapped in a void maze trap and Puffy's freaking out she just silently brute forces her way to an exit and seems undisturbed, but she's very scared when she thinks the two of them are lost and can't get back to the main SMP. She's initially freaked out by the Egg vines and says that they look 'poisonous' but after Puffy explains it to her she is totally frightened by it. She believes that it's evil and that it can mind control people and she's cautious but not. afraid in the same way other characters are.

One last thing I looooooove how much she carries over from her old experiences. As said before she's scared of cave spiders due to a hardcore series but also carries a bunch of her stuff on her instead of storing it and makes a ton of crafting tables because of it. She calls the Central SMP 'Mid' out of habit from Minecraft Hunger Games. Her entire fighting thing and most of her pre-smp knowledge of other characters comes from bedwars and other fighting minigames. I just like when people do that

Opinion on eebydeebies and sapient Pokemon?

I think that "eebydeebies" is terrible as a term because it informs you of absolutely nothing and sounds plainly ridiculous. Fallers is a recognized term used by multiple government entities and while maybe a bit silly at least makes sense. The only reason I know what an "eebydeeby" is from people asking invasive questions of a friend of mine. Outside of being directly asked about the term I do not use it.

In regards to sapient Pokémon, I am friends with sapient Pokémon and enjoy their company. I mean they're varied and have personalities like any other person so speaking for them as a whole feels a bit strange. Some of them also aren't open about being sapient Pokémon, so I don't want to be too detailed about it.

So in short, sapient Pokémon and Pokémon that were formerly people are fine and unique persons in their own right, but the name eebydeeby isn't something you're going to ever see me use.

This has me thinking of my Rick and Morty AU where Cedric is Rick and Sofia is Morty. Anyway, Time travel AU!

• Cedric had been trying to figure out how to time travel for years, it was something he did on the side while trying to take over the kingdom.

• When Sofia was old enough to comprehend what happened to her biological father, she started having frequent dreams of going back in time and convincing him not to go on that ship. In these dreams, she was often accompanied by an older man with black and white hair, his features were blurry but she could make out a long nose. she never got his name but she became attached to him over the years, getting excited to go to sleep so she could meet with him again. He became something of an imaginary friend, but was quite grumpy most of the time.

• When her mother remarried to the king, Sofia was shocked to see that the royal sorcerer looked just like the man in her dreams, and had the same grumpy attitude.

• After the day Sofia met him, the mysterious dreams stopped entirely, as though she'd never had them in the first place.

• Sofia made effort to get close to Cedric to figure out what was happening, and she discovered that she felt the same way around him as she did in her dreams, safe and protected, like nothing would hurt her with him around.

• One day, Sofia walked into his workshop to find him in front of a large chalk board, muttering away to himself. It only took her reading a few words to find out he was working on a way to time travel. Her gasp caught his attention, and she ran away in shock.

• At first, Cedric ignored the weird interaction, jotting it down to children being children, but found that he couldn't focus on his work anymore. So, he went out to find her.

• Eventually, he found her in her bedroom, pacing and talking to herself, much like he'd been doing less than an hour ago. He asked her what was wrong, and she told him everything, her dreams, her father, the time travel, his presence in her dreams and how they disappeared when she'd met him.

• Cedric put aside his schemes to take her amulet to find out what was going on, he knew there could very well be a link between her dreams and the time travel mystery he'd been trying to solve since his early 20's.

• Cedric soon after took her on as his apprentice, and they became a duo, both of them trying to find out how to successfully time travel and how Sofia's dreams worked.

#old Mondstadt probably loved short stories like A Monkey's Paw and uses those types of metaphors a lot#a promise from their god of love and safety being twisted so... so they find ways to twist up the twist

Thinking about Decarabian's story later being told as a cautionary tale against a controlling suffocating 'love', and the role Amos would have played in such a narrative....anyway I'm curious what you think of Decarabian and Amos' relationship specifically as 'lovers' 👀

My interpretation of Decarabian and Amos is that of two people that really cared about each other and so thought that perhaps they should be romantically involved with each other. I have a couple writings about how I think they would first meet (Left in my bestie's ask blog like a cat)

But! To understand that I must share how I interpret Amos! She is my babygirl and I think about her a nooooormal amount. Okay so Amos was a hunter at the start of the archon war, but thanks to her courtship she was basically cursed to have the same lifespan as Decarabian. This sounded like a completely sane and normal thing to agree to at the altar, a literal til death do we part. She had been alive for centuries by the time of the rebellion, and when her husband's 'heart' stopped so did hers.

Decarabian on the other hand, has been alive even before the time of the archon war,,, cause ya know,,, he needs to found Mondstadt. Now the city itself wasn't the only place that Decarabian reigned from. The snowy mountains had villages such as Sal Vindagnyr, and he was there to witness the celestial nail be dropped. He saw the horrors gods could inflict on other beings and this shattered his trust in any other divine being. Such a tragedy also made him think about how fragile humanity is, and thus he vowed he would keep Mondstadt safe. At all costs.

They both had a couple of friendships before this all went down, I like to hc Deca as knowing Kairos and thus when she went MIA it only fueled his parania. His closest neighbors were Liyue, and he did not trust a single god from there, and we all know he and Andrius had beef.

Amos, however, was a pillar of Mondstadt's community. She was a hunter! She was strong and powerful and in present-day Mond terms she would be as reliable as Jean or Noelle. However, Mondstadt wasn't as.... free as present-day Mondstadt. With her parents dying when she was about 20 or so, many people kept implying for her to start a relationship.

She.. hated disappointing them. She had never felt the need to take a lover before, but a companion? A friend she coudl share secrets with and be by her side? She craved warmth.

It only got worse when the war started and Decarabian is like "oh shield time everyone! :D " and now she was Stuck. Stuck and unable to go out to hunt. She felt like a burden. A testament to her name. She would spend long days helping out the city as best she could, telling every one of her friends that were concerned for her lifestyle that she was simply too busy for a relationship.

She... never felt an attraction to a person before. Never felt Cupid's arrow sting her chest and cause her to yearn. She had close calls, but could never imagine herself in an actual relationship with either of them.

Yet days in the timeless city still moved on, and the storms cradled the city in their razor-sharp embrace. She dreamed of the forest and of the hunt. She dreamed of those foggy memories of joining the hunting party. She dreamed that someone would understand that she didn't need a lover to be happy.

If this was a story told in the future, this is where the Monkey's paw would curl.

One day, she met a man in the armory and he was so kind and polite to her. No one in the city had seen their god's face, so she just assumed he was a noble or a guard. They talked for hours. He wanted to meet a person that people kept talking about. She would go silent as he mentioned those words, but in the end they became friends.

Yet... she was still troubled by her friends. It sucked have to sit through conversation after conversation about her future. How that having someone by her side would be good for her when she gets older! How having a spouse was a wonderful thing.

After many nights of pressure and debate, she asked out Decarabian. She wanted to experience this. Perhaps she was wrong! Perhaps she was just missing out! He was her friend, so it would be just like hanging out.

Before she knew it, people were happy for her. She was happy that they were happy. She was happy seeing Decarabian smile at her. But was she happy?

It felt like an item on a list being crossed out. An obligation she had to fulfill. She got what she asked, but...

...

Its fine! She is fine! Its...

its nothing.

Years later, she and him were wed. Everyone was so happy. It felt like a dream walking down the aisle. The type of dream that you don't remember happening. The type that fogs the mind as you try to recall it. There are rings on her fingers now. It's a cold feeling, the metal against her skin. The ornaments in her hair are heavy. It's... its fine.

She is glad her husband feels so happy looking at her.

As lovers, they didn't really date. Neither of them found the point of all of it. They were basically roommates+ that slept in the same bed. Amos found out she loved to cuddle him as she slept. It's been so long since she had felt a loving embrace, and he had never felt a hug before.

She taught him a lot of things about romance, not quiet understanding him at times but they managed! She yearned to be held, and so Decarabian did! He was doing such a good job at this! He loved the ways she laughed. He loved her dedication to her crafts. He loved looking at her.

Yet the years went by, and soon Amos wasn't leaving the tower as often. Her friends had lives of their own, and she should have a life of her own. Despite having someone by her side, she never felt so isolated.

Before long, she was the only one left alive from that friend group. Decarabian put his arms around her waist, happy that his beloved was spending more time with him. She seemed sad.. so a hug should do the trick!

They never.. talked about this. They never talked about anything! They just existed with each other after a time, enjoying the other's presence but something was missing.

She felt safe. She felt a strong bond between her and Deca. She felt... happy? Complacent. It was nice being in the tower... but it was as dull as the grey sky.

It was only centuries of this limbo before she would meet a duo that would bring that spark back in her eyes.

So yeah tldr neither of them should have been dating each other in the first place but the norm that people who are close together should be lovers pushed them into a situation neither of them was prepared to tackle. Neither of them communicated their needs and thus suffering was caused. At the end of the day, they do care deeply for each other, and this only made it all much more painful. F in chat

🎨 You know, despite being an art school graduate, I never considered how artsy Yein could be. I think they're probably rather decent, at least with a stick of charcoal or graphite. They likely draw a lot of visual references in their own journals when they document local flora or ghostly stuff. Probably some basic but accurate linework, and some color pencils or watercolors later.

⚓️ They know nothing about sailing. Yein has actually never even left Eorzea! I think come Dawntrail, they're gonna learn how terrifying ocean travel can be. (>‿< ) Does Fornax wanna take 'em on a trip before then??

💌 Ibant is far too formal about everything. In the past, a nice bouquet of flowers and sweet-if-impersonal love notes might have been the norm for him.

With Prudence, "typical" romantic gifts have become methods of annoying her. When he's not trying to just annoy her, I combines small romantic gestures with acts of service. He would kiss her face as he wipes it clean; he would bite her leg as he's helping her out of work boots. And, finally, he'd play his cello for her any time she expresses an interest (or he thinks it would soothe her).

Do you think c!Hannah can photosynthesize?

This is a good question!! Hannah cannot directly photosynthesize, but she does draw energy from nature in such a way that on sunny days she is significantly more energetic. During her early days on the server, she actually didn't need to eat or drink anything due to the server's natural world being fairly well preserved and only damaged in small scale, healing ways. (She'd still eat for fun tho!) Nowadays, she is very close to functioning on a normal human's biology and needs to be reminded by Tina to do things like eat and sleep
