idk I feel like i'm going through another midlife crisis and it occurs to me that our generation has them so often they can no longer be reasonably called "midlife"

i'm old, i'm tired, i can't crank out content as fast as the younger folks on tiktok can, and it sucks to no longer be relevant because of it remember when tiaramania and i were like THE sources for tiaras, royals, dress up, etc. ? when I funded and hosted a formal ball and literally couldn't even GIVE tickets away because people were so lethargic? now there's people who do what i used to do here but with millions of followers, getting invited all over the country and the world and able to pay their bills with it. we got formal balls in every major city, sold out, by folks with zero event experience... and everyone in the community gets invited as a guest except for me

I recently visited a royal exhibit i Kolding, Denmark. It had some astounding jewels on display:

The Diamond-Ruby Parure.

It was difficult to photograph beneath the lights. The tiara is EXQUSISTE and so sparkly.

The exhibit also featured The Queen Alexandrine Sapphire Tiara.

am i the only one who think that this tiara looks so bright and more polished compared to the european slightly rusty ones which makes sense because this is new but the thing is it's almost seems like a plastic 💀 or maybe because this is the first time i see tiara in broad daylight...

I think it's a combination of it being newer, all the small diamonds set allll around the frame but also we're used to seeing tiaras contrasting against hair (I always find tiaras to look better against brunettes for example) but in this case they're placed on white fabric and the frame is very apparent so it looks a bit costume-y.

Hello! Yes, that's what it means. I've been looking on the websites of Sothby's and Christie's and also @/tiaramania on Tumblr to find tiaras that aren't associated with any existing families and it's been fun. I've seen some great tiaras from Garrant, Tiffany & Co., Cartier, and others.

It will be fun but it will take some learning to get done. Any help from those more experienced @royaltysimblr and @batsfromwesteros would be appreciated

btw there are a handful of other PoW/Wales-esque jewelry that Kate might wear in the future

there’s (3) Leek Brooches! (HM’s, Diana’s and Camilla’s).. HM’s is the Welsh Guards one which Kate might get if/when William is given the regiment

there’s this bad boy.. the Ladies of North Wales Leek Brooch

and brand new to me, there is this! which was given to Diana.. according to @tiaramania​ it was on display and they claim Diana sold it for charity but nothing official has ever been found

there are other bobs and pieces.. smaller brooches and even some bracelets baring the PoW feathers
