They should get family therapy. Please.

Gave Tiger longer shorts because I need her to be wearing them and the possibility that she fights without them scares me. So she gets noticeable short now! Yippee!
Also I didn’t forget the bracelets. I headcanon that they’re friendship bracelets and I drew this intending to be before the show. Forgot the watch though

It’s a Piece of Cake to Bake a Pretty Cake

Tiger had heard rumours of just how bad Romin was at cooking. She figured most of them were exaggerated, if not outright made up, by Roa who appeared to have been the victim of Romin’s poor cooking skills. Male relatives had a habit of bad-mouthing their female siblings, she felt. She recalled how Luke constantly cowered around her and spread rumours of might and prowess far beyond what Tiger felt she was capable of.
However, perhaps, she had taken one too many grains of salt with this one.
It was entirely possible, perhaps, though Tiger did not want to admit it, that the rumour of how deadly Romin’s cooking was completely and utterly accurate.
Tiger stared, slack-jawed, at the decisions that Romin was trying to make but Tiger was preventing her. No, no, absolutely not, they were baking a cake. There was no need to add chicken stock, no it would not complement the eggs they were using and they had already had to fish out so many shards of eggshell out of their batter so far as well.
She had, wrongly, allowed Tiger to show her what she could do. Just as a test of Romin’s current skills. It had quickly turned into a test of courage for Tiger as she watched the entire actuality of how much of a disaster chef Romin was unfold.
It was terrible. It was an atrocity in the making. Tiger was totally certain that Romin was violating food safety laws not only in Japan but in many other countries as well. And Tiger was aiding and abetting this crime by having allowed Romin so much freedom to commit to her cooking.
The idea had seemed sound to Tiger. Yuga was still… not around and his Mother was getting quite worried, Romin felt bad about it and so, Tiger offered that the gift of food was typically quite appreciated. Baking a cake was easy as, well, baking a cake as the expression went so they should just go with that to give to Yuga’s mother.
It still seemed as though it should have been a sound. It came from a good and kind place in both their hearts but now. Tiger had seen the carnage for real and she was harrowed by it - and she was someone who prided herself on being unflappable but staring into that bowl of batter, Tiger was pale.
But she would not wimp out just because Romin was a bad cook. This situation could be rectified, she was certain. They would get this cake baked or so help them.
If they had to throw out the batter made thus far because it was completely and utterly unfit for human consumption, so be it.
Tiger recovered from her initial shock and she bumped Romin out of the way. She would not be allowed any leadership, or even peerage from here on out. This kitchen was a tight ship and it would be run by Tiger with an iron fist.
“What are you doing?” Romin squealed.
“Taking charge, you can’t be trusted.” Tiger barked as she snatched up the bowl.
She marched it over to the bin and emptied it out.
Romin, meanwhile, watched but trembled. A fist by her side. “Let me guess.” she snivelled, upset. “You don’t like my cooking either.”
“No I do not.” Tiger very bluntly said but was taken aback.
Romin was… Romin was actually crying. Her shoulders were stiff but she was trembling on the whole. The tears she cried were undeniable as they glistened hotly on her cheeks.
“When you asked me to bake this cake with me… I thought you were different but no. You're just as mean as Gakuto and the others! At least Luke likes my cooking…” Romin rambled.
Tiger felt a little bit bad about upsetting Romin. Her lips were pursed together, she frowned, her pointy little chin turned into a strawberry in her hysterics. Tiger sighed.
“I am different.” Tiger said. “I did not mean to make fun of you, however, you need to learn some more common sense. Let me teach you some.”
Romin blinked. It was a rough around the edges apology but in the end, it was an apology.
Tiger beckoned Romin closer. “Okay, we’re running through the basics, let me know if I’m going too fast. I want to be a good teacher.”
   “O-Okay.” Romin nodded her head.
This time around, on the second attempt, Tiger was much stricter with what was going into the bowl. This time, for example, not a single shard of an egg shell entered the batter they were making. They were just making a simple, vanilla pound cake. The sort of cake so quintessential it could have been made much easier by being made from a cake but Tiger wanted it fully homemade.
Now with her closer supervision and her firm but guiding her hand, the batter was coming along nicely. Perfect ratios of wet and dry ingredients, now it just needed to be aerated and mixed.
“Would you like to mix?” Tiger asked, hopeful that Romin had been absorbing the lessons thus far and had learned something.
“Yes please.” Romin nodded her head vigorously.
Cautiously, Tiger stepped aside so Romin could come in closer to the bench. She hugged her arms around the bowl and almost immediately proved to Tiger why she shouldn’t get so much as an inch on her leash because she would take a mile. Intentionally or not.
Romin furiously mixed the batter, her arm moving as powerfully as an electric mixer and the batter splashed up everywhere. Romin, her eyes alight, completely oblivious to the mess that she was making up until Tiger took over. Again.
“No, no, not like that.” Tiger said, panicked but trying to be as gentle as possible, even if gentle was not her nature.
She placed her hand on Romin’s shoulder and that was enough to stop her. She blinked cutely and then looked up at Tiger.
“Do you mind showing me how to do it then?” Romin asked, innocently, a completely different person to before when she was shredding the cake batter.
“Sure.” Tiger replied and for once, she felt oddly nervous.
Romin shuffled in closer so her back was to Tiger’s breast. Tiger embraced her, showed her how to hold the bowl less like a hug and the best manner for wielding a wooden spoon as well. She moved Romin’s hand with her own in slower stirring motions than before.
Tiger felt her face redden and blush as she assisted Romin. Her heart even pounded harder and it was getting a bit too warm for her liking in this position but they persevered. The cake was now coming along quite splendidly after all that, at least until Romin tilted her head up at Tiger.
“I can hear your heartbeat.” she teased.
Tiger stepped back, flustered, and turned away, “You're an unpredictable student, is all.” she said. “A-And a cute one, I will admit.”
Romin snickered to herself, “Alright then, can we put this in a cake tin yet?”
“Yes, we can.” Tiger replied, trying to sound stern but her defences were clearly down.
She watched, in awe, as Romin very calmly poured the cake batter into the corresponding cake tin. No mess, no fuss, Tiger could not be prouder, even if she was already swearing under her breath not to let Romin put into the oven as that was sure to be where mistakes - very dangerous mistakes - were bound to happen. But still, she smiled to herself. Perhaps a tiger could change its stripes after all - or maybe this Tiger was just that good at cooking by the book.

I hope we will see you a lot more in this arc. and Yudious vs box tiger-san. (We've already seen Luke's ancestor look alike so in the box, it will be Tiger's ancestor look alike. the preview also supports this)

(A)Kari Tsukumo from Yugioh Zexal and Haruka Kamijo/Tiadosia Kallister/Tiger from Yugioh sevens, sorry they are not good older sisters
Despite being the protagonist’s big sister, we barley see Akari do anything important, hell she doesn’t even get involved with Yuma’s journey other than yell at him
Which btw, I don’t like how they show the Tsukumo’s siblings relationship, yes siblings do bicker and argue, I should know I’m a little sister, but that’s ALL we ever seen them do. We never see Akari and Yuma actually bond or show affections like some of the past Yugioh siblings, hell we don’t even see Akari comfort Yuma when Astral was gone, and I hated that despite all she said, she barley got to do anything when Yuma was in danger. Also I don’t like how (atleast in the dub) when she saw Yuma was in the hospital she IMMEDIATELY blamed it on him for being there, girl what are you doing?????
Tiger, she’s a little more important and does more but god is she an awful sister
When we’re introduced to her we see how HORRIFIED Luke is of her, to the point where he would sometimes hide behind his friends when she shows up. She gives him a reason to be scared too, she yells at him ALL the time and hits him. No one should ever be that afraid of their siblings, especially younger kids at their older siblings, that’s awful. Also Tiger had NO business being THAT mean to Luke, I get teases and noggies but holy shit Tiger is just straight up abusive at this point
both added!

“No, stop, this doesn’t sound right.” Romin interrupted their recording session again.
She had been disruptive all day, particularly about this one song. At first it was kind of fair considering she had penned the entire thing with her own feelings in mind and designations of who to play what, even if they weren’t unconventional designations. Now it was just getting annoying.
Even Romin was annoyed with herself.
She didn’t consider herself a perfectionist but this song meant a lot to her so she was holding it to a standard which was clearly too high. Too high for her, too high for Ushiro and Getta, and even too high for Roa. She had crafted every aspect of it in her head and on pen and paper to be perfect for them all. A drums solo for Getta, lots of bass to keep rhythm, amazing lyrics, and of course her favourite chords as a lead guitarist. She thought it sounded amazing and it did but not amazing enough.
It was… missing something, Romin was tentatively sure but she wasn’t sure just exactly what it was missing. She felt frustration well up inside of her, her expression turning to a frown and she heard Roa sigh.
“Let’s take fifteen, guys.” he suggested, laid back yet diplomatic.
   “Yeah…” Romin agreed.
She sounded so defeated. Shoulders slumped, just exhausted. In a bad way. Just crashing so she took some time out in private. It's not like the boys really wanted her to be around since she was, in a very rare mood, lording over them like a selfish queen.
Romin laid down on the chaise lounge in the ladies’ foyer to the restrooms. At first she laid down, belly first, head over the edge and then she rolled over. She felt tired and yet her body was electric. Restless. She sighed. And she tried to puzzle out just what she wasn’t satisfied with regarding her song. She closed her eyes and she went through it piece by piece, step by step.
Okay, well, the melodies weren’t the problem. She was playing as good as she could, maybe even better. Her fingers stung with how she had played, pinching the pick and she went through the various stages of progression. Yes, acappella. Thank goodness she was the only one in here because she sounded like a trainwreck without her guitar but with her guitar, she knew that there wasn’t something in that layer which was bothering her.
Next up was the drums. There was a solo and Getta was really doing the most for it. He loved the attention and he definitely played better when he thought it was turn to shine like thunder and lightning. No problem there either, he kept a steady pace for the rest of the band and for a moment, Romin had a flash. Maybe he could be doing more. There were a couple songs she could think of by some older bands which incorporated windchimes and whilst that didn’t quite scratch the itch that Romin had in mind, she felt oddly closer to her revelation.
Then there was Ushiro. Their bassist. Unlike Getta, he didn’t mind that he wasn’t always front and centre. He took pride in being the undercurrent that helped conjoin them all. If the others were the shining sunlight, then he was the equally necessary mellowing moonlight. He provided what kept the mettle together and cohesive. So, naturally, he was doing perfect also. Sure, Romin really had to listen in and keep an eye on him about it but she was confident in her assessment. Nothing to improve there which irritated her considering that just a moment ago she felt close to revealing the problem and finding a solution.
Ugh. Roa. Romin did not want to spend more time than necessary thinking about Roa. His singing was fantastic. She couldn’t fault him there. He sang with the exact cadence that she imagined when writing the lyrics, breathing in the emotions just right and adding his own flair. Though the flair was not what Romin had envisioned, it was an improvement on her original and if she tried to force him to sing otherwise then it would likely sound flat. That annoyed her but there was more to her annoyance than just the fact that Roa was so naturally gifted.
It was her song. Her lyrics. She wasn’t sure who Roa was imagining when he sang them but that person, if they existed at all or wasn’t already himself, was not the person that Romin had written the song about. Okay, well, not written about but merely had taken inspiration from.
Romin may… or may not… have a crush on a certain someone. Someone fierce and took no orders from anyone. Commanded power and grace. She was someone that Romin really wanted to get along better with and learn from. And the music that she played on her saxophone, well, it was awe inspiring to say the least. That person was Kamijo “Tiger” Haruka and yes, okay, it was obvious. She totally had a crush on Tiger.
Just look at all the wax poetics that Romin had written and refined over her. Turning her schoolgirl crush into an entire song that absolutely had the potential to go platinum if she could just work out what it was… missing.
Romin bolted up. Of course. How could she have been so blind? It was so obvious to her now, she struck her forehead in shame with the palm of her hand as she finally had her epiphany. It wasn’t windchimes that this song was missing, it was a woodwind instrument.
The missing layer to her song, what kept it from seeming imperfection, was the fact that not every aspect of whom Romin had written into it was there. She couldn’t believe it. Her crush on Tiger was what was stopping it from catapulting into the top of the charts. She needed Tiger to play on this song with her saxophone.
Romin excitedly rang Tiger, “Hey, can I ask a huge favour?” she said, not even introducing herself and not even letting Tiger greet her.
“Is this Romin that I am speaking to?” Tiger asked, stilted but polite.
“Yes, and I need a huge favour. How would you like to be a guest instrumentalist on RoaRomin’s next big hit?” Romin was practically zooming over the phone.
“I would be honoured.” Tiger replied.
“Excellent, can you come in, uh, five minutes’ time?” Romin asked.
“I’ll be there in four.” Tiger smugly told her.
“Thank you so much!” Romin squealed. “I’ll text you to the details.”
She hung up and squealed some more. Her heart was racing. She couldn’t believe it. A jam session with her crush. This was going to be epic and she was going to make sure it was. She was rolling around on the chaise lounge, her thumbs klutzy as she made good on her promise to text Tiger the details, like the song itself. Not thinking once that maybe her feelings might convey in the notations and script that she sent. She was just thrilled that Tiger had agreed so when she hit send, all bets were off.
Romin raced out of the restrooms and swooped back into the recording studio where the boys were drinking water and laughing at memes on Getta’s phone. She grinned maniacally and all chatter stopped. She marched in and she picked up her guitar.
“Fellas,” she said, “I hope you don’t mind but I cracked what’s wrong with our new song, Black Stripes. We need a guest instrumentalist and I have arranged for nothing less than the best.”
   “Whoa, really?” Getta exclaimed.
Ushiro opened his mouth next but was interrupted by Roa, who spoke up saying, “Romin, you can’t just decide something like that without us.” He sounded pathetically hurt, as though he hadn’t wanted to make decisions like that in the past regarding Getta and replacing him with a robotic drummer.
“Don’t worry, it's someone you know.” Romin replied and then, as if on cue, the doors to the recording studio opened.
Tiger was there, scruffed like a kitten, by security, she thrashed about yet her saxophone that she clutched didn’t move an inch, as she yelled, “I'm telling you offer, my good friend Romin asked me to be here.”
“I did. Thank you for escorting her.” Romin politely piped up. She even gave a courteous bow to emphasise her gratitude.
The security officer nattered and warned them no more uninvited friends. Tiger huffed and then took a spot beside Romin and Romin felt her heart rate spike again. She smiled at her bandmates and Roa sighed, gave a shrug.
“Break’s over, boys, Romin’s got this, I think.” he said.
And she did. Ushiro and Getta returned to their own positions zero with their instruments. Roa handled the main microphone like the flirtatious cad he was and then gave a wink to Romin to signal that he was ready too. Romin nodded and checked in with Tiger.
Tiger had a lustre to her eyes which was viscous and ready. She had never played so professionally before but she was absolutely prepared to rise to the occasion and exceed expectations. She had glanced over the notation and had committed it to memory, she knew her own part and the parts of everyone else.
   “I’m ready.” she told Romin.
“Good.” Romin said and in synch, they both took a great, big breath. “One, two, three, four!”
The music that followed her cue should have been a cacophony. After all, Tiger had never played a recording studio and the band had never played with Tiger and yet, it was anything but. They played together like this had always been the composition. It was natural and cohesive, jamming out and recording, going through the motions with a newfound energy and passion.
Previous attempts at this song had been good but not good enough and the rest of Romin’s band could see why now. They already sounded amazing just the four of them but the unexpected fifth added a whole new layer: one they didn’t even realise they were missing. Tiger’s saxophone melded perfectly, playing along just as she should.
Tiger was exceptional, nothing less than professional as she played her saxophone beside Romin. She played her own guitar and their music intertwined like it was fateful. The whole room’s acoustics bounced and were gleeful, the rollicking drums and the haunting bass, Roa’s voice singing out over the music, timed perfectly.
Romin’s song Black Stripe was about Tiger, yes, but it was also about wanting a first kiss from someone who was so intimidating, it was like a kiss could devour, like the maw of, well, a tiger. About a persona who was rough and tough, but sweet on the inside, like a kitty cat. It was very obvious from the lyrics that the writer of the song was head over heels for the feline love interest.
Part way through singing, Roa gave Romin a wink and she was flustered but her fingers were practically separate from her, which was good because she wouldn’t want to mess up her own set. She blushed furiously and Tiger glanced at her, blank but too busy with her own saxophone to truly take notice. They were about halfway through the song but it had felt like a beautiful and boisterous eternity. The second half was the same, until finally fading out and they were all satisfied with how they played.
The recording was stopped and they were given the thumbs up from their manager. Not that they needed one. They all knew innately that that was the best take they were ever going to make. All the bandmates glowed with pride and it was all thanks to their guest saxophone player. Sax in a rock pop song, who would have thought it would be a combination as good as peanut butter and jelly on a sandwich.
“That was fantastic, Tiger, thank you so much,” Romin exclaimed, panting, “I could just kiss you.”
“Well why don’t you?” Tiger asked, blinking owlishly. She sounded utterly unfazed with all her playing, not even wobbling in her breathing with tiredness. “I’m not daft like others I could name, I can tell that your new song is about me and that you clearly have a crush on me.”
Romin could barely compute, her whole face turned red as she tried to stammer out a justification or outright denial but once she cooled, she owned up to her feelings, “I have a huge crush on you Tiger,” she said, “I’d love to kiss you. Just not right now, in front of the boys, that’d be embarrassing.” She hid her expression behind a flurry of hand gestures.
“Fair enough.” Tiger giggled whilst the aforementioned boys protested, they would not have made a scene and embarrassed Romin in front of her crush if they kissed. The liars.
Romin was just glad that the song had finally been completed to satisfaction. And that her feelings had reached over what felt like an insurmountable wall of denseness because as lovely and fierce as Tiger was, she was still her brother’s sister, even if she would claim to be otherwise. She smiled, her heart pounded, and she looked forward to seeing where her song would take her next.
Maybe it would go platinum like she hoped, maybe she would even get that first kiss with Tiger, in private, like she had instigated. Maybe Tiger would make a couple more guest appearances in their songs, too. Only time would tell and Romin was excited by all the potential prospects. Especially the ones that included Tiger and her apparently requited crush.
