Note
Do you have ideas of what the kwami's true forms(the mythical creatures they originally are)might be?
I thought of it a little bit, and probably need to do more searching around. WIkipedia does have a list of legendary creatures, but it doesn't cover everything.
But a few I have thought of:
I thought of Plagg being a chimera as it's a pretty iconic and dangerous mythical feline.
Tikki I thought of possible birds to play off ladybird. Phoenix was one of the first that came to mind, for it's red and fiery and tied to healing, though griffin is another possibility.
Trixx a nine tailed fox.
Pollen... maybe a bugbear. When I first heard it, I always thought it was a bug with bear elements, or something like that. Then I got to see what it was in DnD and got disappointed. You could've done something with mothfolk for a bugbear! That would've been so much more unique.
Anyway, if bugbear, probably something along the lines of what MLP did.
Tumblr media
A manticore is another solid option to work off the stinger, though I'd stick to a feline head than human. She could be a more tiger based manticore to work off the stripes.
Wayzz I'd vote to be a dragon turtle.
Tumblr media
For Duusu, he could be one of the few that's a big iconic mythical animal, as India does closely tied peafowl to gods. Alternatively, Duusu could be a simurgh.
Tumblr media
Could also do something with a peacock griffin.
Or a peacockatrice.
Nooroo I'd lean to be a big butterfly-moth being, as a nod to Mothra.
Tumblr media
And you know, as I can't really promise that canon's sentis will even be a thing, it may be the butterfly senimonster could be Nooroo's true form. He could even be the intro to the concept.
Tumblr media
Now outside the more iconic kwamis...
Tiger and lion kwami could be actual sibling guardian lions, only one is more striped. Or they could just be big divine animals of themselves.
Which is something I am leaning for Wolf as Fenrir is very iconic.
Kaalki would probably be a winged horse, as not only is there Pegasus, there is also longma, a draconic horse with wings.
Longg could be a long, or he could go more western dragon or wyvern.
Fish kwami probably a long.
Sass probably a naga.
Orikko probably a cockatrice.
Deer kwami either a peryton or qilin.
And the rest, I don't know yet.

Boxes!
So, in my au the boxes are all completely different.
The first layer kwamis are in their respective pairing and in separate boxes as seen above. Each pairing has a name for what they represent:
Ladybug+Black Cat- Matter duo
White Lion+Hellhound- Energy duo
Caladrius+Bat- Conciousness duo
Unicorn+Stick Bug- Existence duo (thanks @hades-999 for the idea!)
The pairs were kept in one of the 4 (technically 5) temples. They were barely mixing and a pair was always released together. The Guardians believed if they didn't the universe will be unbalanced.
The other boxes usually had a second layer kwami who was in charge/above the others. I'm gonna call them alpha for now. They were mostly like this
Emotion box
Peacock of Emotion (alpha)
Pig of Jubilation
Bull of Aggression
Griffin of Leadership
Dolphin of Intercommunication
Swan of Temptation
Parrot of Communication
Sense box (mostly just Vision)
Fox/Kitsune? of Illussion (alpha)
Arctic Fox of Elusion
Tiger of Stealth
Scorpion of Hallucination
Opossum of Evasion
Owl of Observation
Sheep of Dreams
Chameleon of Perception
Falcon of Precision
Skunk of Pollution
Identity box
Butterfly of Transmission (alpha)
Wolf of Imitation
Rabbit of Elongation
Ox of Determination
Frog of Prosperity
Rooster of Pretension
Mouse of Multiplication
Octopus of Adaptation
Jaguar of Flexibility
Betta Fish of Isolation
Goose of Intimidation
Ant of Cooperation
Monkey of Derision
Seagoat of Eradication
Timekeeper box
Snake of Repetition (alpha)
Snow Leopard of Caution
Orca of Affection
Crow of Precognition
Elephant of Recollection
Bear of Preservation
Potency box
Bison of Vibration (alpha)
Salamander of Magnetization
Turtle of Protection
Goat of Elation
Crab of Penetration
Koi of Gravitation
Squirell of Mischief
Movement box
Dragonfly of Motion (alpha)
Dog of Adoration
Horse of Transportation
Flamingo of Balance
Ferret of Curiosity
Panda of Transaction
Spider of Stagnation
Jellyfish of Transparency
Axolotl of Reflection
Bee of Subjection
Elemental box
Penguin of Temperature (alpha)
Phoenix of Combustion
Seal of Fluidity
Pegasus of Passion
Thunderbird of Electrification
Otter of Crystallization
Dragon of Storm
Shark of Liberation
Now, these weren't like this most of the time. It honestly depends on who was in charge of the box arrangements at that time. For example, the Snow Leopard was constantly being moved from the Timekeeper box to the Elemental box, and the Consciousness duo was in the Emotion box before they separated the duos.

Have you seen this childhood show: Shimmer and Shine (2015-2020), United States (English)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Commentary/Context/Memories: No user commentary
[Mod A: Haven’t heard of this show but it’s cool to have a show that features genies! It is about Shimmer and Shine who are twin genies who grant three wishes everyday for their human friend Leah. They have to then work together to resolve the issues the wishes causes while keeping the genies a secret from other humans (kind of like Fairly Odd Parents if all the characters were the same age!). The second season introduces Princess Samira and also Zeta, a villainous sorceress who has dragons. There are also a lot of animals in this show including typical animals like gibbon monkey, tiger cub, beagle, peacock and fox but it also includes magical animals like dragons, Ziffilon (a griffin-like creature), winged unicorns, a Scallywag, Zahracorns and more. As an animal girlie, I really appreciate the diversity of animals in this show (reminds me of Barbie Island Princess) and how they all have powers of their own! I do hope the show actually incorporates some actual jinn mythology because from the stills of the show, the character design does look more prepared to sell toys rather than point to accurate jinn myths.]

Please tell what the glasses assigned fursonas were. Also did nobody care about Clark having a sheep or did they just assume farm people are like that?
Perry White was a Tiger, Jimmy Olsen was an actual Cub Reporter (bear), Lucy Lane was a peacock because comics are really mean to her. comics are REALLY mean to her. there was this long paragraph about 'oh Lucy this is because you're vain and self absorbed and only care about attention and--' and lucy was like teehee :) yeah.
Lois was a cat which made me go Selina are you seeing this. Selina.
Anyway Superman's Two (2) fursonas were A Lion (on the ground) and an Eagle (While Flying). The reasoning given for this was that his actual fursona was a griffin but the glasses couldn't render that. because griffins aren't real (?). I have definitely seen a griffin in dc comics before but never mind that
Also clark did the lamb swap using superspeed so no one saw him pull off the exchange

How to Draw and Design Gryphons and Hippogryphs by using photo references of eagles, lions and horses?
Draw everything individually, from multiple angles.
How to draw horses || How I practice anatomy || Gesture drawing
It's like juicing up for a very tasty dream by consuming your favorite genre, characters, settings, etc and hoping your subconscious combines them.
If the final result is your target, and you see your drawing arm as a gun taking aim, then references are your bullets. Fill the chamber with reference unless you want to play roulette.
Your first step in reference gathering is to be specific. Know what you want and stick with it. I searched specifically for African Lion and Gold Eagle. Being specific helps you observe detail more accurately, and it already puts you one step ahead of generic designs.
I'm only going to tackle Lion + Eagle today for simplicity, but you can use this advice to combine two, three, or dozens of animals including horses.
Get your reference, and start practicing. Keep it simple and undetailed, only drawing the essence of the photo, rather than exact position and proportion.
Use action poses to practice! Even though they're more challenging, they will infuse your final result with action as well. Look up things like hunting, fighting, walking, running, landing, etc to get action reference.
Tumblr media
Practice most on the creature you're having the hardest time with. That was Lions, for me. I even did a separate page where I studied the structure of their manes, since I wanted that in my griffin design.
Tumblr media
Remember: you can trace photos as part of study! This is helpful for correcting proportions and anatomy. Make sure you are tracing mass and bones, not outlines.
Tumblr media
Now that you're weapon is loaded with reference, you'll be able to design freehand without copying a photo. This is IDEAL because you won't be slowed down by anatomy. Now what we're here for: Design.
Creature Design Masterpost || Splice Vs Blend
This is going to be yet another visit to Splice vs. Blend technique, so strap in. Here's some guys I drew after I finished studying. No photos needed at this stage because I've eaten them all.
Tumblr media
The most common creature design technique is something I call Splicing. You take pieces of animals and graft them onto each other with stitches. Griffins are notorious for this with their bird talons on the front legs and lion paws on the back. That's a creature that was formed through magic, not evolution. This automatically makes your griffin less believable. And probably a bit awkward in the walking department.
Tumblr media
So here's a new challenge: Blending. Take bits of each creature and put them in a mixer, letting the ingredients land all over the place and amongst each other. What if we had a lion skull, with an extra-thick bird beak in place of the jaws? What if the lion chin was still there in the form of a tuft of fur? Maybe the tear duct from the lion, and the eyelids of bird? Let's give it lion ears with the furrowed brow so typical of raptors.
Tumblr media
It already looks like a new life form, rather than a photoshopped amateur hour of recognizable animals. I could cover it in either feathers or fur and it would still be distinct as a new species. I want the classic lion mane in some form, so I'm taking the shape and turning it into long, fluffy feathers.
Tumblr media
Don't stop there! Try identifying what traits make an eagle and eagle, or a lion a lion, and sticking them between each other.
Tumblr media
Keep combining! Challenge convention! Add and omit parts and pieces to your heart's content.
Tumblr media
Take this practice to all parts of all creatures. Throw new stuff in a blender instead of stitching it together. This especially includes color! You see a lot of spliced markings in novelty griffins, with a specific cat and bird. Artists get stuck on copy-pasting animal patterns because they're afraid the ingredients won't be recognizable, or they're just lost in the sauce of loving tigers they forget to actually have fun with it.
Tumblr media
It's still recognizable as tiger and peacock, but much more compelling, wouldn't you say? Go for something unique rather than staying with what feels "safe." There's a million griffin artists out there, but only one You.

could i have a list of the animals in hindu mythology? it's for a project of mine. thanks
sorry for answering this so late, i hope i’m not too late.
so imma gonna be writing about their vahanas (vehicles) and also their animal forms. but first, some symbolism
the vahanas of the gods represent their alter egos as well as their own aspects.

Miracle Boxes - The True Generation
These are the second iteration of the Miracle Boxes, and the generation that lasted the longest, stretching out for several thousand years. The Miraculouses within these boxes are very similar to the generation before, save for many kwamis of the Mage Box being divided out among the other boxes of the world, and the Mage Box being hidden away as the Secret Box.
During this time kwamis were free to chose their own holders, and spent more time out in the world than in their Miracle Boxes. Guardians were protectors of kwamis in their dormant state, but were not wardens of them. Kwamis would often travel far from their boxes and across the world, acting as protectors where they felt they were needed.

title . expecto patronum (gi / hp crossover) characters . genshin impact type . fluff , headcanons , crossover
Tumblr media
(continuation of this post ♡)
"don't worry if you aren't able to cast it correctly. many qualified wizards still have trouble with it. this incantation will only work if you are concentrating, with all your might, on a single, very happy memory. expecto patronum."
like i said, i would have more genshin and harry potter crossover headcanons! this one will be about defence against the dark arts and conjuring patronuses, and what the genshin characters' patronuses would be.
for the patronus-assigning, they'll be split by houses.
— GRYFFINDOR xiangling = baby panda amber = hare hu tao = butterfly xinyan = border collie beidou = kneazle childe = humpback whale
— HUFFLEPUFF diona = calico cat bennett = jack russell terrier noelle = echidna razor = wolf aether = golden retriever barbara = hummingbird
— SLYTHERIN yanfei = rabbit lumine = tabby cat xiao = lion albedo = barn owl eula = orca kaeya = peacock keqing = tiger rosaria = python ganyu = goat jean = white horse ningguang = crane
— RAVENCLAW chongyun = husky fischl = raven xingqiu = kingfisher sucrose = fennec fox venti = griffin mona = grey squirrel diluc = eagle lisa = siberian cat zhongli = dragon
headcanon time!
for these specific DADA classes, all the houses were merged instead of the usual two only
it wasn‘t part of the official curriculum anyway, so it was expected that nobody knew of or was already able to cast the patronus charm
some got it during the first lesson of learning about patronuses, but this was only a small portion of the class. xiangling, hu tao, barbara, ningguang, xingqiu and lisa.
the next two to three lessons, majority of the class was able to summon a patronus, even if it was only for a few seconds.
bennett’s jack russell terrier would be running across the room excitedly, sometimes accidentally bumping into people here and there
xiao was able to summon a majestic lion which roared and silenced the whole classroom due to the awe of seeing it
some people got rare patronuses, like kaeya’s peacock patronus which strutted around the classroom proudly
what was most surprising was the more talented students having trouble forming a patronus. they already had a reputation of being the fastest learners of the grade, hell, maybe the whole school, and they still weren’t able to conjure up a patronus.
slowly, they were able to get it. eula’s orca swam around the room as if some invisible water current were keeping it up, as jean’s stallion galloped alongside it.
it took some time, but venti conjured up a griffin which spread its wings and soared across the room before disappearing.
this is when the professors decided it would be better to take the class to a different place where it could fit all these large patronuses.
that’s when the room of requirement appeared.
the room became very large, maybe half as big as a professional quidditch stadium.
childe and zhongli were the remaining two students who were yet to fully cast the patronus charm.
the two of them were put at either end of the room as they tried to summon their patronuses.
“expecto patronum!”
“expecto patronum!”
...nothing happened. they tried another two times.
“expecto patronum.”
suddenly, bursting out from the tip of zhongli’s wand came a dragon. silence once again engulfed the class as they watched the wingless dragon glide across the room.
one professor recognised it as a rare breed of dragon that came from the asian regions.
childe felt embarrassed. his reputation of being one of the most talented among them was weighing his shoulders, pressuring for him to do something, anything, that would get him to get back up to pace. why was this damned patronus not appearing? was the memory he was focusing on not good enough?
“EXPECTO PATRONUM!”
then, something huge and blue lit up the room. childe was confused at what this huge mass of blue was. the people on the other side of the room, however...
“merlin... is that a HUMPBACK WHALE??”
the humpback whale, 14 metres long, floated in place for a few seconds, making whale calls that stunned everybody, including childe. nobody expected a patronus like this.
“well, that concludes our lesson.” the professor said suddenly, startling childe which in turn made his patronus disappear.
“congratulations, everyone. that, is how you cast the patronus charm."

This is my Zodiac-Astrology creature: a griffin!  Comprised of Rooster and Leo (with a splash of Tiger & Peacock, of course--I’m turning 24 in just a few days.)  I have only once before in all of my life occupied this magnificent state of being, and on the twelfth of this month I shall rise again.
