There was something awry in the land of Mutsuba, Princess Haruka had learned through squire gossip.
The Princess by the name of Asana had gone missing and the Queen, her step-mother, kept going in and out of missingness all the same but she did not seem concerned for her ward. In fact, she seemed to be revelling in the fact that her nest had become so emptied - or so the rumours went.
Having a heart of steel and justice, Princess Haruka decided to investigate the rumour further. Thus, she took upon the secret identity of Tiger and donned the garb of a huntsman prince before descending upon her endangered neighbouring kingdom, leaving her little brother in charge and with a prayer that he wouldn’t screw anything up.
Being in the thick of the city in which the Mutsuba Kingdom’s capital resided, Tiger quickly learned that the rumours paled in comparison to the worry that the residents of Mutsuba had for their princess. Oh, she was beloved far and wide, not a poor word to be said about her. She was fair and generous, had a renowned kindness for those in poverty and for animals, too. And no one could understate her beauty either, apparently. Her hair was like that of a snow in winter’s dawn, a gorgeous sable and with eyes of sapphire blue to match, a complexion which was somewhat dark and without blemish. She was hailed as the most beautiful princess of all, both in her looks and in her soul.
However, the same could not be said of her step-mother the Queen. People spoke vilely of her and at first, it put Tiger on edge. She could never breathe a word ill of the dead, particularly her own parents, but they had good, virtuous reputations but the Queen of Mutsuba was everything her step-daughter was not. Selfish, of a dull, unsharpened mind, shoved all responsibility aside so she could wax and wane and pine in front of a silly little mirror. She shunned all and it was an apparent mystery how she had ever managed to wrap the former King - long live him, of course - around her pinkie finger after the death of his first wife, Princess Asana’s birth mother.
A woman who, to little surprise of Tiger’s, had passed away in suspicious circumstances but illness was illness, most figured. But maybe, just maybe, poison may have been involved but there was no evidence of such. There was, however, evidence of a miracle as she and the king had been struggling to conceive and their precious little Asana was born after such harried efforts. It would truly be a loss to the world if she was never recovered from wherever she was.
But, after a few days of regaling these tales and rumours, Tiger had come to a dead end. Whilst she had a clearer picture of the circumstances of the royal family of the Mutsuba Kingdom, there was still many unknowns in regards to the whereabouts of young Princess Asana. It was obvious to her that something had to have happened between Princess Asana and her step-mother but she could find no word as to what it was. Murder? Banishment? Something else entirely?
Tiger decided that she would trawl the outskirts of the city. She would only reveal her authority as Princess Haruka of the Kamijo Kingdom if she could prove that whatever foul end had befallen Princess Asana had happened in the castle but for now, she had an odd hunch that she ought to venture outwards. To find herself deep within the woods on the outskirts of the city, she was farewelled by city guards whom she had become quite friendly with in her investigation and kept going.
   Going.
Past mines which were well trawled and through deep, dark parts of the woods which were so heavily forested, it seemed not even animals dared to walk through them. Over the course of three days, Tiger camped and wandered through this part of the forest and mulled over her various theories on the disappearance of Princess Asana but what she found on the other side of this forest was the most peculiar of things.
She found a young woman encased in a glass coffin. At first, Tiger had thought the lady was sleeping before she drew closer and saw that no condensation discoloured the glass nor did her breast rise and fall with the steady rhythm of breathing. Tiger felt her heart twist and contort with grief for this unknown woman whose corpse looked immortal - immaculate - in its death.
She was the centrepiece of a funerary meadow which burgeoned with flowers of every breed and colour. She was well taken care of, honoured and dignified, but there was no headstone to mark whom she had been in life but it was obvious that she was loved by someone who cared for her even now.
Tiger stepped back out of courtesy and watched as two, small gentlemen laid fresh bouquets upon the top of the glass coffin she was encased in. Tiger was dry-eyed and hardy about it as she watched one - the younger of the two with fluffy, purple hair - sobbed and the other turned to her to explain. He held onto his hat to his chest with the sorriest, most pitiful expression Tiger had ever seen on, what she presumed to be, a middle aged man.
“It is rare to have visitors outside of our workforce,” he lamented, “but thank you for inquiring, this is our Lady Asana, our dutiful caregiver.”
Tiger’s eyes went wide. She didn’t say anything and simply allowed the grieving man to continue. He had such a fondness in his voice but spoke of her as though she were a normal woman and not of a heritage of grandeur and royalty.
“She cooked and cleaned for us miners whilst we worked hard for our jewels. The poor thing, we have no idea what happened to her, we came home one day and found her like this. We couldn’t bear to bury her but we had to do something so…”
“You did the right thing, I think.” Tiger told him, perhaps too fast, perhaps awkwardly.
   “Thank you, ma’am.” he replied.
“In fact, I am so moved by your story, may I please be allowed to give this lady a good night kiss?” Tiger asked.
“That would be kind of you, stranger.” he said, his eyes shiny and wet but hard to see with how his face was wrapped up in his side-burns.
Tiger nodded and with grace, she stepped forward and removed the top of the coffin. She dislodged it and placed it aside. She was surprised by the fragrance inside the coffin, of fresh flowers, the very ones that Princess Asana had been laid to rest in but even getting a closer look, Tiger couldn’t see an obvious cause of death.
At least she could be properly acknowledged once Tiger returned with news, she lamented as she leaned in for that good night kiss - even if it was the middle of the day. Tiger kissed her dainty lips and poured in her regrets, her grief for this young woman she had never known and she was kissed back.
A gasp followed and Princess Asana’s eyes opened. Tiger exclaimed, and stepped back, harrowed as she witnessed reanimation. Stiffly, Princess Asana awoke and her two gentlemen companions could hardly understand what they were witnessing either. The dead coming back to life and she had such a darling rose in either cheek as she took breath after breath, her own expression in confusion and frenzy, as though she had awoken from a bad dream.
“Galient? Chevelle?” she asked, bewildered. “What happened? Where am I?”
She appeared struck with mortality as she realised she was sitting inside of a glass coffin which bore flowers from her grievers, as few as they were. Then, she ended upon Tiger and probed her with just as much confusion.
“And who are you, young madam?” she asked, polite.
“I am Tiger but perhaps you have heard of me under another name, Princess Asana. I am Princess Haruka of Kamijo, when I heard of your disappearance, I thought to myself I must investigate and I thought I would be the bearer of bad news but it appears, I have done the impossible.”
   “Oh my…” Princess Asana exclaimed.
Her two companions guffawed and bucked, “Princess?!” Chevelle yelped. “I had no idea you were an actual princess.”
Princess Asana giggled demurely, “I could not tell you for fear of my life but it seems my carefulness was misplaced…” Her expression darkened. “An old woman came selling apples but I fear they were poisoned, she forced me to eat one and the last I recall all turns back. I suspect that woman may have been my step-mother in disguise.”
“Then I will see her evils brought to life, I can promise you that, Princess Asana.” Tiger announced and she put her fist to her breast with a thud, her expression was gravely serious.
“Thank you, Princess Haruka,” Princess Asana warmly replied, “as you were the one to dispel my step-mother’s curse, she is such a wicked witch and her heinous magics only undone by acts of true and fated love.”
Tiger blinked, taken aback, “Pardon?” she asked in a tiny voice.
“Help me to get down, please?” Princess Asana asked in lieu of elaborating like Tiger was hoping.
Still, being a chivalrous young woman, Tiger did oblige. She stepped up once more to the glass coffin and Princess Asana helped herself into Tiger’s arms. They were strong and firm, Tiger’s back was straight as she held Princess Asana in the bridal style, her legs idly kicking.
“So? Will you help me return to the castle and reclaim my birthright?” Princess Asana asked of her.
   “Of course.” Tiger replied.
“Good, for there will be handsome reward in store for you, a dowry at the very least, I will make sure of it.” Princess Asana teased her.
She leaned in and pecked Tiger’s cheek. Tiger felt herself blush but she could not turn down a princess in need as that would go against her self-imposed creed. One which did not ask for rewards in turn however, she would be willing to make an exception in this case, if all were to go well upon return. Tiger could already hear the wedding bells toll and the notes of happily ever after but she shouldn’t get ahead of herself when there was still an evil queen to vanquish.

Yugioh Sevens Subbed Finale
It made me cry! But now we know that the timeskip was 2 years! And we don't know exactly where Yuga was for 2 years. I think it is a very safe prediction that Yuga did something that affected Velgear. Perhaps Yudias comes to Earth to seek Yuga’s help. Matbe Yuga is considered a lengdary hero to his people but by the time Yudias arrives on Earth, 50 years have passed and Yuga is an old man so he has his grand kids help him instead. When Go Rush was first revealed some people thought it would have no connection to Sevens (not sure why). I am very curious how direct of a sequel it will be. It feels like a lot because weird choices were made for this finale. They really wanted Yuga to be missing for 2 years and the way they did it with the Otes duel couldn’t reconnect to the server becuase Yuga used his ID card was really contrived Did he really need to use his ID card for his duel against Luke when so much was on the online with the other duel? I guess because I he really wanted to beat him but still it seems like a huge risk he didn’t need to take. I will say the subs make the Luke duel way way better! Also I have shipped Asana with Yuga and Tiger but never with Gakuto before, that was interesting LOL Plus I originally said Romin X Luke is totally canon now but I love how she says Luke is in love with Yuga. I am going to draw out the Sevens shipping polycule haaahaahaa, I cannot wait for Go Rush! I am so happy it is so soon! I will probably watch that premier live as well. It is so much fun! I hope the rest of the community has enjoyed Sevens as much as I have. Huge shoutout to EntameSubs, I tipped them for their hard work and i encourage anyone that can to do so as well.

Hi again, I'd like to suggest Kunaishipping for Asana x Ranze. Proof of shipping is here: https://merryfortune.tumblr.com/post/642156214622584832/day-4-silver
My reason being is that a kunai is a multi-purpose gardening tool used initially for digging holes and masonry that was repurposed a ninja tool. The ninja aspect is obviously for Ranze but its initial uses feel reminscent of Asana as she uses R6 to dig holes; moreover, they are made of soft steel which feels evocative of Asana's motif and characterisation eg being the girly-girl to Tiger's tomboy or a tough rival to Yuga.
Accepted! It will be add to the suggestion list

Things had been going well for RoaRomin.
So well in fact, they now had huge expectations on their shoulders for the next album. It had to go double- no, triple platinum. It had to outdo and outpace the last one as it had done fine. It was totally par the course and whilst stability was good, growth was even better and so.
The responsibility of course fell on the band to find new inspiration, new gimmicks, and new songs.
It was completely and totally stressing Romin out.
Her bandmates all had their own ideas of what they wanted. Heavy rock and roll. Light hearted pop bops and jams. A high-concept album. A patchwork of singles. It was tearing them apart whenever they got into the recording studio trying to do something. Anything! Rehearse, practice, brainstorm! Anything, pretty, please.
Romin was suffocating over the creative differences they were feeling like razor blades. The city was smoggy and stifling. Romin felt like she had a headache whenever she thought about leaving her and Roa’s apartment and she felt like she had stomach problems whenever he was hanging out around it too.
“So yeah, that’s the short of it.” Romin said as she finished up venting to her girlfriend.
They were sympathetic over the phone. Asana was fourteen in a high-powered corporate job thanks to being an heiress and whilst Tiger didn’t have a career yet, she still held herself to tall and nigh impossible standards. So they listened over the phone with Romin ranting about her troubles in the world of music.
“You need a break.” Tiger said.
   “Mmhm.” Asana agreed.
“I don’t really have the time to lollygag though…” Romin said.
“I’m not suggesting we whisk you away to Europe on my family credit card or anything-” Asana said.
“I was.” Tiger said. “Italy is lovely and mild this time of year.”
“Let’s just do something small.” Asana said. “Get you out of Goha City, not into Naples.”
   Romin laughed, “I dunno…”
“Well, what about,” Tiger hummed, “what about our secret hideout? Mine and Asana’s.”
   “Our what…?” Romin echoed confused.
She straightened how she was lying all higgelty-piggelty on her bed. She blinked and changed how she was holding her phone. She very much did not have a secret hideout. The closest thing she had would be like… Yuga’s lab.
“Oh, um, not our.” Asana embarrassedly clarified. “Mine and Tiger’s secret base.”
   “From our youth.” Tiger said.
“You’ll love it.” Asana said, getting excited. Her voice was almost squealing as she got giddy. “It’s not too far from where Tiger and I live, oh, we haven’t been there in years. It’ll be fun to visit it again.”
“Yeah, it does sound fun.” Tiger agreed. “What do you think, Romin?”
   “Uh. sure?” Romin replied.
She recoiled as Asana and Tiger began to get a bit pitchy in their excitement. Though it was mainly Asana, Tiger was just egging her on and through the ear-piercing squeals turned staticky through her phone, Romin gathered what she needed from the conversation.
It was decided. They would go visit Asana and Tiger’s secret base as soon as possible: tomorrow afternoon. They would bring instruments and a picnic and make a whole date out of it. Their excitement was contagious, completely blinding Romin to the nostalgia that she didn’t have for this place.
Romin rarely felt left out and this was not going to be one of those times where she was, either. Asana and Tiger were determined to include her. They never wanted her to feel like a third wheel on their relationship. Their meeting with her had brought out the best in them and felt like a natural evolution but there was still a steep difference between childhood friends who had known each other forever versus the newcomer who knew them for a comparatively shorter amount of time.
The next day, on the way, Romin must have heard every story, every memory that Asana and Tiger had regarding their secret base. Their secret base sounded like a beautiful and halcyon place. Romin could imagine it vividly thanks to Asana and Tiger’s description of it.
A meadow in the forest, soft and pastel grass underfoot and endless blue skies overhead. Then the masterpiece of nature in the middle: the sunflower patch with flowers which were taller than tall which knitted together to form the clubhouse and tousled in the wind.
Oh, it sounded like a breath of fresh air.
Completely and utterly different to how cooped up she felt in the city.
Romin’s head was migraine free and although her stomach stirred, it was butterflies and not nausea. She was all smiles as she joined her girlfriends on foot for the surprisingly large distance from Asana’s mansion to their secret base.
Kids really did have limitless energy, didn’t they? Both Asana and Tiger could swear - they swore - the distance was much, much shorter than how it actually panned out.
Because all three of them were exhausted once they had made the trek through the woods. They arrived all hot and sweaty since it was the middle of summer. Worse still, when they arrived, they almost missed it because the field of sunflowers was not like Asana and Tiger remembered.
   Nor what Romin was promised.
She had built up this scene in her imagination, of the idyllic field and pastures. Of sitting in the shade of the sunflowers and enjoying the company of Asana and Tiger as they ate endlessly and soaked up the atmosphere, making music and sharing jokes.
That was not the reality that Romin found herself in as she stood on the outer ring of what had once been the sunflower patch that Asana and Tiger had made their secret base. She set down the picnic basket and held onto the strap her guitar case was in. She had that feeling in the bottom of her stomach again. Similar to how being around Roa whose ideas were in the complete opposite direction of her own opposed against Ushiro and Getta’s, too, but different.
She glanced at Asana and Tiger. She didn’t even pretend to smile or be understanding. Their secret base now only existed in their memories. Memories she could be talked at length about but would just be stories, not her own experiences.
“I swear these things used to be taller…” Asana said.
She tried to perk up one of the wilted sunflowers. Had summer claimed them or had time? She couldn’t tell as another flopped down, withered and brown, after she tried to prop it up.
“There’s no use getting depressed over something like this.” Tiger decided, ever level-headed to a fault. Her bluntness made Asana sigh.
They all stood, with the sun overhead. Its rays beat down over them and Romin sighed, too. She flopped down and beckoned to Tiger, she nodded and unfurled the picnic blanket that she had been carrying along.
“You’re right, Tiger, no use getting depressed over this.” Romin said.
Though, Asana and Tiger’s excitement had been contagious, they were all here now. Romin was being shown more of the secret world of Asana and Tiger’s relationship, taking her rightful place within it as the third member of their trio - no longer a duo or a two-person couple. She swung her guitar around and set it in her lap.
Asana smiled, bittersweet, glad that Romin and Tiger could make the most of a disappointing situation. She sat down with them and shared iced tea amongst them. They were all so thirsty thanks to their hike and suddenly, things started to look up again.
“What matters most to me,” Romin said as she fiddled with her guitar, “is having a good time with you both. We can’t be stuck in the… past.” Her voice trailed off and she lifted up her head. Her eyes went wide.
“Something the matter?” Asana asked and Tiger stared quizzically, too.
“Stuck in the past… We can’t be stuck in the past!” Romin repeated, albeit just as cryptic as before. “That’s why we can’t write an album, I get it now! All of RoaRomin are stuck in the past but we need something new. Something from the future!”
Asana and Tiger’s expressions split into a smile. They loved Romin’s passion, how her face lit up as she had her epiphany. It seemed the trip out here wasn’t a bust after all.
Romin’s fingers began to speed along the neck of her guitar, she could feel the burgeoning rhythm of a new song in the skin of her fingertips. They blistered as she threw herself into the hype, chasing the idea but despite her quickness, the song turned out rather melodic.
Romin glanced at Tiger, “Try playing your flute.” she said.
   “With pleasure.” Tiger replied.
Asana politely applauded them both as she was sampled to something which began to slow down. It turned sweet and melancholic. It was completely unlike any RoaRomin song that Romin had ever produced but they could all feel the throb of something special in their chests.
Roa clawed for their past success, wanting to replicate it over and over again. Getta worshipped the King who had died over a century ago. Ushiro was all about the grungy low tech of the retro. Even Romin had found herself pulled all the way back into the past, unable to muster something new until… now.
And it was all thanks to Asana, Tiger, and their sunflower field. It mightn’t have turned out like they had hoped but they couldn’t disagree with the results. Romin would just have to have her fingers crossed that everyone else would like the resulting song as much as they did.

Day 28 / Castle
Clover and Violets 2021

“Do you have interest in being the King of Games?” Asana asked as she moved forward a pawn on her opening turn.
“Of course not.” Tiger replied as she listened for the click of the timer going down. She moved her own hand next, and went for a more brash, opening turn: beginning with a knight.
“Truly?” Asana asked, blinking. This time, she heard the click of the timer being reset.
“Yes, truly, I could not think of a bigger waste of time.” Tiger said as she watched Asana make her move.
“Or, could it be, you do not want to triumph against your brother should he become the one last one standing against you if you were to decree yourself an entrant?” Asana asked. She then pressed down the button on the timer with a satisfying click.
Tiger chuckled as she considered using the rook on her board as it was now her turn in this match of chess. She was playing black; Asana was playing white. Ultimately, Tiger elected not to though the temptation was quite real since they had mentioned her brother, Rook. She instead chose another pawn.
“I want to see him grow up strong,” replied Tiger, “and I believe, with the road in his own heart that he is following, then he would defeat me if it meant that he would become the King of Games. This is a certainty.” She clicked the timer with a sense of purpose. Emphasis. It did not go unnoticed.
“Interesting.” Asana chirped. Her expression was blithe. Her hand was even quicker as she managed to make the first kill of the game.
“What do you think of him as a candidate?” Tiger asked as she hid a tut of irritation under her breath.
“I have my eye on Yuga, of course.” Asana replied with a smile, she tilted her head slightly. She clicked the timer.
She watched, dreamily, as Tiger continued. Asana, of course, had her own eye on Tiger but it was different to the competitiveness that she felt unto the boys who vied for the crown all the same as she did. It was a gentler feeling than that.
Tiger’s hand hovered near one of her rooks again but she decided not to again. She made another bold move: choosing her bishop. A shame. Asana would have picked the rook. And Tiger clicked the clicker.
“And what of Kirishima Roa and Saionji Neil?” Tiger asked. “What are your thoughts on them?”
Asana laughed. “They would be both tyrants, I believe,” replied Asana as she played with her hair, “Roa would make a bad king, I think. He’s self-absorbed; caring only for himself and his own game. He’s frivolous. Neil would be a cold, cruel rule. Do you agree with that assessment?” She then finished her turn, collecting another black piece. Click and all from the box beside them on their little table that they shared out in the garden; including another click from Tiger’s tongue.
“I do, actually.” Tiger nodded. “My brother may be a fool but he has a good heart. He cares about the game, and it being fun for all participants.”
   “Same as Yuga.” Asana nodded.
“I will be interested to see how that duel would play out.”  Tiger murmured. She was beginning to feel boxed in by Asana’s advancements on her field: knights, pawns, and bishops. She played a crafty game where Tiger was, perhaps, too hard-headed. So, she played a hasty move. One that involved moving her rook, of all pieces, after so long.
“I think it would be a stupendous duel.” Asana agreed.
Tiger flicked over the clicker on the timer. “And what of us?” she asked, eyes flicked up to Asana’s which were such an electric and acrylic blue.
“What do you mean?” Asana asked. “I would hope that in either outcome, with either your beloved Rook or my beloved Yuga, we would be able to have fun either way.”
“Correct, but what I was trying to say, is what if there were to be a Queen of Games, unrelated to the kingliness the boys are vying for.” Tiger said.
“As much as I love you, Tiger,” Asana began adoringly, her eyes lit up, “but I would hope it would be me.” She giggled. “Checkmate.”
Tiger flinched. It was bizarre how such a sweet thing could hide such steel in her demeanour. Tiger then checked the checkerboard and she sighed. She didn’t like losing but if she had to, then yes. She would prefer it to be to Asana. Both in chess and in card games. That, she found, some palpability to the odious act of losing. Tiger sighed. And to think it was because she had moved one of her precious Rooks and because Asana had, at long last, used her Queen.
“I relent.” Tiger said, bowing her head. “You make an admirable adversary, my Asana.”
“Thank you.” Asana replied. It felt good to be praised by Tiger. And to honour that feeling, Asana got up from her chair. She came down to her knee and she took Tiger’s hand.
“You are a secret lecher, methinks.” Tiger admonished the chivalry, even as it made her heart flutter and her eyes, beneath such a stern countenance, soften.
“You are too wary to be a princess, I digress.” Asana lovingly scolded Tiger as she thanked the game and good sportsmanship with a kiss upon Tiger’s knuckles like a King would leave a Queen.

opinion on Asana x Chevelle
I think they would be cute! They got that really sweet tea party still together in one of the ending clips so I’ve been soft on them since then and I think it would be nice if Chevelle was a little more femme and Asana was a little bit more butch, as they grow up, a gnc m/f ship in yugioh is rare to come by but these two could definitely rock it!
I know some people were disappointed that we didn’t get a more childhood friends specific flashback for Chevelle but I think its very sweet that Asana managed to save him and oh my god could you imagine if Chevelle thought he owed her a debt because of that? because that’s one of my underrated favourite shipping tropes
but yeah, I think they’re cute
I’d love to write Chevelle fic but I don’t really have much to go off for him yet, I’m afraid. And who knows, I might squeeze out one more sevens fic for Femslash Feb since I haven’t decided yet what Day 28 should be and I know that Asana/Tiger is more popular than you’d think but tentatively, if I had to pick an Asana ship, I’d probably go with Chevelle since he so easily rocketed to the top of my favourite sevens character list after his and Rook’s duel. I wanted him to win so badly! I didn’t catch the last episode but I hope Asana praised him for his efforts since he basically ‘died’ for her, like the drama kid he is
