Time is Money
Long-term investment is like having
a really good friend to whom you say,
Hey, can you hold this money for me?
and if you don’t mind, can you keep it
for say, twenty years? And he says,
Sure, no problem—and tell you what,
when I give it back, I’ll give you three
times the amount. How’s that sound?
to which you respond, Really? Wow,
you are a really good friend. But I don’t
get it. Why on earth would you do that?
And he looks at you, smiles, and says,
Why not? I got nothing else goin’ on…

Late night thoughts 😴.
((EXTREMELY Long character analysis ahead. Vary Possible tw)) [I'm sorry in advance] {approximated timestamps imcluded}
OK the title is a lie. I actually think about this once every 2 weeks. [If that]
It's about in time. Specifically Raymond Leon. He's the main antagonist of the movie But no one focuses on how tragic he really is.
Let me explain
1. Timekeeper Raymond Leon. Like everyone he stops aging at 25, And his clock starts leaving him a year to live. Cannon to the film he mentions that hes been doing his job for 50 years. He's pushing 80 years old if we track it properly. 80 years!! Of age... (01:27:15)
2. Most if not every time we see Leon, He's always chewing on a piece of gum. And it said that gum is a way to pass time.
3. During an exchange with Mr. Weis Towards the end of the movie. The man worth eons, sitting behind a desk in front of Leon, asks how many years he wants wants for his services. And ray, with a dead straight face, looks at the man and says.
"there aren't enough years, not even in your lifetime. Mr. Weis." (01:09:10)
4a. And that brings me to Layla. His little Dayton Mistress If you will.
All that Being said... Putting the pieces of his deeper puzzle together, Raymond Leon is much more tragic than he seems on the surface. Because from the outside the viewer is made to detest him as an antagonist of the film. And they follow.
But Leon as a deeper character. if you dig into what he says, and his actions, his little ticks and motions. you can see how done he is with his own existence. But he can't time himself out, That's just asinine for a man of his standing.
4b. She offers him 10 minutes for an hour of his time, The time that he has left and let's dwindle to the last second, habitually. He advises her to
"get out of the game" (00:22:26)
Because she's
"pushing 60."
Ray comes from Dayton, He managed to cross time zones and escape the habits of the lower class. That's how he knows all of wills tricks.
Meaning she's wasting her years on a job that will get her nowhere.
"He's conscious of the security he doesn't have a body guard and he runs" (00:29:18)
Leon has been there and done that. He escaped for a better life. But only ended up in a job that gets him nowhere. Working it for 50 years and finding no fulfillment.
He doesn't concern himself with the Justice that his role demands. He only concerns himself with the time that he usually measures.
"Seconds minutes hours." (00:41:35)
He has lost confidence in what he does because of what hes been through and what he's had to do and sacrifice.
In pursuit of what he does for a living, He will let his time dwindle to the last Seconds if it means getting the job completed, keeping up that front and not letting any one see what he actually thinks.
Chewing gum to pass the time, Remarking that a man worth eons (!) doesn't have the years that Leon would need for his services. Draining his clock to his last hours just to see how far he can push it.
The lowest in the movie we see his clock get is 2 hours. And even with the other time keepers concerns, His only remark is-
"I'm still walking around." (00:50:47)
Dismissing that he's putting himself in danger.
And his dismissal of his needs is what brings him to his ultimate demise. 5 seconds left on his clock he watches it fade, Standing in front of the 2 people he had his heart set on stopping, Confessing that he can't turn back the clock, And to a certain point he wishes that he could. And he keeps the time because that's what he knows, He knows his job, he knows the rules. But it's not what he wants, It was never what he wanted.
"I keep time" (1:37:53)
he says.
Time keepers are only given A day. Every day as a top up of their time. Imagine taking A day every day for 50 years in a job that gets you nowhere and gives you nothing. (00:50:47)
He is practically invisible, A man in a coat. Defined by what he works for and not seen for who he is. Not seen for the story that he could tell. The lives he could save and the lives he could change.
Leon is a story in and of himself, He is a story of an old soul in a young body, he is a story of the day to day monotney, And he's a story of what people would do to stay alive in this world.
Being a timekeeper is the equivalent of being a cop, The Dayton people don't respect him, And No one in new Greenwich seems to acknowledge his existence.
Because of who he is and what he "stands for" no one would give him a chance. 50 years of only being seen as a one sided story. He's grown tired of it all. Stuck in a dead and job with no way to pass his own time. Except simple pleasures, intense euphoria, and a soul breaking livelihood.
He doesn't want to stand for what that coat stands for anymore. He wants his own life but he can't have it, It is stuck in the confines unable to reach higher.
He left the low and climbed the ladder. But got stuck in the pursuit of his own future, Tying himself up in a spot that he thought would make him happy.
He lived by-
"Follow the time" (0:22:26)
But he followed the time so far the bread crumbs turned to pebbles, and he lost his way.
Time is money, Time is life, But time can also be the enemy.

What's your opinion about latest files 1100 and Wakanori true face revealed?
File 1100 Review
I thought it was an amazing chapter fitting to be File 1100.
It's about time we had a design made for when Gosho wants to draw Rum in "prosthetic-eye" mode. The whole "blank eye" style was throwing fans off too much (even though it was obvious that the eye is clearly meant to look normal to the outside world).
Tumblr media
As for when Wakita approached Conan and co., Conan's semi-serious side-glance towards him had me very excited. However, what had my mind racing and raising my expectations greatly for this case was when Wakita mentioned that he delivered sushi to Teitan Elementary, which was pretty much a confession to that he was there to be able to trigger Haibara in File 1072.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Conan might speculate on Wakita possibly being the one who triggered Haibara's BO-sense, and then start to get reminded of Heiji's clue about "Doito Katsuki" through the current Kid case and start to suspect that "Wakita Kanenori" is an anagram (this could for example happen in part 2).
Tumblr media
Afterwards, we could get a scene between Bourbon and Conan (in Part 3/resolution), where Conan asks about Rum again (for example: "Does Rum have any kind of petphrase or words they use often?") and finds out about the "Time is money" petphrase and finally connects it to Wakita's name and realizes by the end of this Kid case that Wakita is Rum.
So File 1100 case could mark the start of Conan's proper Rum investigation. Perhaps we might even see Conan finally deciding to involve Heiji, after finally finding out Rum's current identity (as he seemed to wanna do in File 909).
Tumblr media
What's also interesting is how Conan has denied him helpful clues twice now. This time however, unlike previous time in File 1057 (where Conan legitimately didn't know about any missing shogi piece), Conan is actively protecting Wakasa… which is interesting. It's as if he felt compelled to rather trust Wakasa (who secretly protected the kids with her fist in File 1099) than Wakita, who has been suspiciously asking Conan things (as if he thinks he can get away with asking an innocent kid questions).
Tumblr media
The incident with Wakasa protecting the kids could serve as a fitting transition for Conan to start to view Wakasa differently and pin Wakita as his potential enemy.
As for why Wakita is asking Conan about Wakasa, my opinion on it ties into my theory on Wakasa's identity and her connection with "the monster"/Rum that I wrote about here:
My ongoing theory is that Wakasa (Vermouth in disguise) worked together with Rum to entrap Akai Tsutomu, leading to his disappearance 17 years ago and Rum losing his left eye. According to my theory, Rum knows that Wakasa is Vermouth, which explains his complimenting comment towards her in File 980 after she was exposed in the news.
Tumblr media
However, what Rum doesn't know is Vermouth's motives for disguising as "fake Asaka" (Wakasa) once again (17 years later),... and so, him witnessing Wakasa's demonic stare towards him made him suspicious of her motives. I think he therefore decided to once again use Conan to get clues on what her motives could be and if her motive is truly in favor of him/the organization (which I of course think is not the case).
Otherwise, it looks like a fun case with Kaito Kid disguising as Azusa. Off the bat, it looks like the Azusa on right could be Kaito Kid, since the real Azusa had a stain on her shirt that isn't visible on the right Azusa's shirt, however in the previous page, it's not visible on the left Azusa's shirt either, so I guess it's intentionally made hard to tell.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kid was however most likely disguised as one of the 3 new characters in the beginning. For the sake of foreshadowing Rum's potential true disguise, I could see Gosho having Kid disguise as yet another shorter character (after previous times when he disguised as Agasa & Kazuha), like the old woman Chuujou Chikayo, where he bends his knee to appear shorter than what he actually is, to parallel Rum's bent knee for his potential true disguise (which was showcased in this chapter).

Hello Tumblr!
With our first post on the platform, we would like to introduce ourselves and what we do!
We are Reward Services, a content-driven organization focused on delivering consumers tips, tricks, and ideas on utilizing internet technology to aid in everyday tasks involving online shopping, in-person shopping, searching for deals, and general fiscal management.
Looking forward, we are excited to start our tenure here on Tumblr with our first very simple tip: Lists.
It’s an extremely simple and often overlooked concept that many still discount even though countless other blogs go over the topic at large. That’s not going to stop our overview of the subject, however.
Lists can come in many different shapes and sizes and can be managed in many different ways. From simply scrawling what you need on the back of an old receipt, to keeping a written booklet, to even utilizing an app such as Google Keep to keep track of your lists; it’s hard to go wrong in organizing the purchases you need to make.
Websites and apps like Amazon or Walmart.com have shopping carts that can act as temporary lists until you checkout, or alternatively have their own built-in list managers. All in all, there is very little that a list can’t do to help your memory in the moment, and can do a lot to reduce stress on long shopping trips whether virtually or not. There are so many options regarding keeping track of the items you want to purchase that you could almost make a list of them!

Challenge #03549-I260: Time Enough and Care
They had been lucky enough to be born into a family that had more Time than they knew what to do with, even with all the charities they supported AND the high taxes. So, they bought a large, badly damaged, station, had it fully restored to become state-of-the-art, then turned the entire station into a massive, beautiful, natural-as-possible garden, so that people traveling could use it as a breath of fresh air, as it were, and a rest-stop in their travels. Food was free, rest was free, the only fees charged was a tiny sum if a ship came in needing repair, and that was only to cover the cost of the parts. -- Anon Guest
What do you do with all the Time one could possibly want? Corporations may have the privileges of people, that was true. What they also had was the responsibilities of people as well. That meant supporting employees, paying taxes, and being a part of the community.
Sometimes, even that wasn't enough to quell the power inherent in wealth. Fortunately for the Alliance, this much Time was in the hands of people with sense.
There was so much that could be done, if one had enough Time. Such as purchasing a dilapidated station and using it as a hobby project. Not exactly busy-work, but definitely a sanity project. Art was left to those with the talent. Gardening was a skill and could therefore be learned.
