The “Sabine, tell me what you need” bit in episode three might honestly be one of my favourite moments between Ahsoka and Sabine. It’s such a moment for their dynamic, there’s so much there. Ahsoka opening herself to Sabine, and Sabine’s response “move on my signal?” says more than that. It’s: I need your confidence. I need your trust. I need your faith. And when they can do that everything comes together. It echoes nicely in the scene in the finale, where Ahsoka promises to be there for Sabine, and when she gives her apprentice that, Sabine’s confidence and openness skyrockets
I know we're all thinking it, so I'm just going to say it.
Tech is Huyang, Huyang is Tech. These two are the same person or besties, no in between. (And by that, I do NOT at all mean that Tech is robotic or like a droid or emotionless. If anything I'm looking at how human Huyang is--please don't take this post and run with it in the wrong direction).
Their sass, technical abilities, no-nonsense practicalities, golden-tinted lenses and predilection for speaking the truth are unparalleled. (And endearing). I had to compare and contrast The Crossing with Time to Fly and was surprised at just how many parallels there were besides the "truth" quote. I can think of other Tech quotes that would fit as well but didn't want to dig through more episodes.
Anyway, enjoy these sassy bois juxtaposed with each other (and their patience-thin partners in crime).
And, of course, the big one.
Also, for the love of...Disney, please make your Star Wars shows brighter so the editing of screenshots isn't such a painstaking process.
This whole space battle makes my head hurt, but Ahsoka "going out there" is the wildest part. At least it looks amazing! (If this happened on Rebels, I wouldn't bat an eye, so maybe I shouldn't let it bother me now.)
🤍not a fan of the space fight scene and the Jacen scene. In my opinion, The first one could have worked in animation but not in live action. It looks ridiculous in live action. Not a fan of the Jacen & Hera scene because the dialogue just felt unetural and forced
🤍 Marrok's voice sounds kinda like Huyang's voice when he is activated. One of the coolest characters in the show so far, looking forward to seeing more of him
🤍 I am not really happy with how Ahsoka is portrayed in live action. She seems more cold and emotionless than how she was at the end of Rebels. Liked her more in Rebels
🤍 This episode felt unnecessarily short that hadn't given much to the plot like the first two episodes, which is understandable due to the plot but I feel like they could made it longer in ten or fifteen minutes could fix it
🤍 Mary Elizabeth Winstead's acting as Hera is wonderful, especially in this episode. You can hear how much she is frustrated, angry, disappointed and about to tear down during her conversation with the senators. Also (it's not really a big deal) why are her lips are not the light orange-brown like in the show? I think it could make her look more realistic
🤍 My theory that Sabine is not force sensitive at all finally got confirmed!!
🤍 It will be interesting to see how being trained as a Jedi while not being force sensitive affects Sabine. Could some of Luke's students be insensitive to the force at first?
🤍 Sabine's hair looks so unetural and weird. It looked better when it was longer but now it looks like a cheap wig
Star Wars: Ahsoka has premiered and its now time to talk about it. This video will my review of Part Three: "Time to Fly" written by Dave Filoni and directed by Steph Green in which "Hera tangles with New Republic politics, while Ahsoka and Sabine Wren voyage to a distant planet."
Portland it's been fun. The weather was killer and I love the forrest aesthetic but as much as I loved you I love my home more. My plants my favorite animal my bed and my old coffee cup are all calling out to me.
The past 6 days have been fun but now it's time to be homeward bound. Rommel, little buddy, I'm on my way!
Oh and the song of the hour easily goes to George Watsky
