Funny that just because it's not trending on twitter people are dismissive of Wonka's success and what it means for Timmy's career. This project was so much more important than Dune 2 For Timmy cause it's all carried by him, his name alone on the poster, his starpower alone selling it. It signals to the studios that he can carry a blockbuster, a huge deal for an actor who isn't even 30. Plus it has the widespread appeal sorely lacking from Timmy's filmography, his introduction to the general audience. Dune franchise is great but it's relatively niche.
Good article on a potential Wonka franchise
https://screenrant.com/timothee-chalamet-wonka-movie-trilogy-dune/
Interesting. I would love to see Tim become the Willy Wonka of Gene Wilder's film. We shall see 💜
Roald Dahl wrote a second book featuring the character of Willy Wonka. The 1972 sequel to "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" was called "Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator." The book has never been adapted for the screen, so the second Wonka sequel could break even more new ground. In addition, Chalamet's age gives the Wonka franchise plenty of time to get to the events of Dahl's sequel as well as reworking "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." So, although Dune may currently be the biggest franchise associated with Timothée Chalamet, Wonka could hold even greater promise for his future endeavors.

"Chalamet gives his best performance since his last collaboration with Guadagnino and shows his maturity as an actor since their last project. His work as Lee leans into the best qualities of the young actor, as he is safe, inviting, and subtle until his former life's secrets unravel and he becomes defenseless and opens up." 💖💖
"... The biggest strength of the film rest on the shoulders of its two lead actors, Russell and Chalamet, whose chemistry is raw, sexy, vulnerable, and earnest in such a way that we've yet to see from either performer in their young filmographies. Russell, best known for her breakout role in 2019's Waves, brings Maren full circle, from a naive, scared teen to a confident, passionate woman who realizes that she can't fix who she is, much to the chagrin of her absentee parents. She embraces that she is an eater who happens to feel the best when she is around Lee, and in this, Russell proves she is a force to be reckon with. As for her counterpart, Chalamet gives his best performance since his last collaboration with Guadagnino and shows his maturity as an actor since their last project. His work as Lee leans into the best qualities of the young actor, as he is safe, inviting, and subtle until his former life's secrets unravel and he becomes defenseless and opens up.
Credit also goes to Guadagnino and his co-writer David Kajganich for their difficult task of adapting Camille DeAngelis's novel of the same name, mixing the right amount of emotion and violence. In doing this, they find a tone that blends heart and danger, as well as a sense of wonder as our duo travel around the middle of the US in the 1980s over the course of one summer. Throw in a spellbinding, almost entirely acoustic score from Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, and this is horror, romance, travel tragedy leaves you flawlessly with a pit in your stomach and a tear in your eye."
~from the 2022 Telluride Film Festival.~

I mean chaos walking and Cherry weren't good decisions. Chaos walking had issues of writers leaving the project, directors leaving the project, lionsgate not happy with productions, financial issues and this was long before doug liman was even considered, in addition doug had very little control. Charlie kaufman the writer before dropping out also said he had zero freedom and control with the script and lionsgate was hell and placed impossible demands.I mean a good agent would inform the actor about all that, tom took a leap of faith kudos to him but it turned out poorly and thus a bad decsion. Russos who came from a billion dollar franchise to expect the same results from cherry is crazy especially for the subject matter. In addition considering they (russos) are known for action and not their writing prowess or skill set as directors I mean who thought they would do a good job at tackling this subject matter with the tact and sensitivity that a subject like that needed. Also I mean why assume if any other actor was in toms position they would automatically say yes cherry.
However, I dont hold this against tom, in reality all actors make bad decsions in their careers and are a part of bad movies, we all have regrets you simply dust yourself off and move forward. Its okay to have fuck ups and bombs thats the nature of the industry. In the same way he has made bad choices he has also made good choices.
Thanks Anon for your input 👍🏾
I totally agree. NO actor in acting history has EVER had a picture-perfect filmography. No, not even Leo DiCaprio, or Timothée Chalamet lol 😏
EVERY actor has had at least one project that they either regretted, didn't like, got bad reviews, didn't go over too well with audiences, didn't make as much money for them as they had hoped, bombed at the box office, or where they felt their acting wasn't the greatest.
EVERY. ACTOR.
So idk where fans are getting the impression that Tom MUST somehow have this perfect and flawless filmography from. 🥴

My biggest frustration of this year (and last year) is that I can't watch Bones and All
I see everyone saying great things about it and the more interviews and stuff I see about the film, the more I want to see it, but also, the more I realise that there is way to much body-horror for me to handle
I wanted to watch all of Timothée Chalamets filmography this year as well, but that's not happening now

Timothée Chalamet Questions - Updated
I saw this tag game here and decided to update this. When did you become a Timothée Chalamet fan?
September 17th, 2020. It's been two years that this man changed my life and now I can't imagine my life without being a fan of his. I have never been in love with an actor like him.
What was the first movie of his that you watched?
A Rainy Day In New York. I know it's a bad movie (in my opinion) and I barely remember the story at this point. The only thing I remember is the "Everything Happens to Me" scene.
Favorite movies of his?
Dune, The King, The French Dispatch, Little Women and Miss Stevens, Call Me By Your Name (I love the movie, despite, you know who.)
What are your least favorite movies of his?
Hot Summer Nights, Don't Look Up and I didn't like Entergalactic that much ("What? You didn't like Entergalactic??"). To be honest about Entergalactic, it's good? Yeah, just not my favorite movie of his. I also don't like A Rainy Day In New York.
Favorite red carpet event in general?
Cannes 2021 was my first ever red carpet I've watched, so this one will always have a special place in my heart. Venice 2021 and 2022 were awesome, I remember them fondly, LFF was amazing and the Bones & All red carpet in Milan was exciting as heck.
I also have to mention Oscars 2022 and the 2021 Met Gala.
Have you watched his whole filmography so far?
No. I have to watch Bones and All ASAP.
Have you ever dreamed of him? If you remember the dream, tell about it below:
Many times, and dreaming about Timothée is the best thing ever. Here are some of my most cherished dreams:
1. Timothée was wearing a white shirt on a Zoom video call, playing “Quand tu M'aimes” by Charles Aznavour on his guitar.
2. Timothée and I were recreating the music video for “Shape of My Heart” by Backstreet Boys. The music video was exactly at the 2:37 mark of the song, and in this part, I stroked his hair while the camera panned down on his bare feet. We were dressed like the couple in the music video: I wore a gray shirt and blue jeans, with some black sneakers, while Timmy was entirely clad in black, barefoot.
3. Feeling extremely homesick, Timothée caught a bus and started writing a text message to his mom, telling her how much he missed her. Then, he looked out the window and tears streamed down his cheeks.
4. A channel was broadcasting an incomplete cut of Bones and All. The intro scene had nothing to do with the book (The movie wasn't out when I had this dream, so the only things I knew about were from the book), since it involved a man fighting against a woman with an explanation about how that man became the first person with the cannibal curse. The reason why he has become the first cannibal was because he lost the fight and went on a transformation that rendered his hair white and his eyes pink (My subconscious mixed Bones and All with Dune). The rest of the scenes were more faithful to the book. Maren as a kid, Lee and Maren going to sleep, Lee’s crying scene, it was nonsensical, yet awesome.
5. I met Timmy on a "secret mission" in which I had to interview him. I was wearing a black suit, and I couldn't go to the movie theater he was attending because I had no tickets. Then, Jennifer Aniston of all people helped me get them, then I entered the movie theater and I asked: "Have you seen a man with brown hair and green eyes?", to which people answered: "He's in the bathroom." Timmy came into the room, with his Oscars 2022 outfit and his LFF hair. I took a selfie with him, but when I took another one to show to my friends, I woke up.
What movie of his are you most excited to see?
Bones and All, which I'll be finally able to watch because I've found a link to it, followed by Wonka and Dune: Part Two.
Favorite outfits/pictures?

Hi! I saw your post about Timothée Chalamet in "Bones and All" and that you want to watch his whole filmography. So, as a huge fan of his, here's some that I'll recommend to you: "Dune", "The French Dispatch" (directed by Wes Anderson, which I think you'll like given your blog is based by "The Grand Budapest Hotel"), "The King", "Call Me By Your Name" (also directed by Luca Guadagnino), "Beautiful Boy" and "Miss Stevens". You definitely won't regret it!
thank u so much for the recommendations !! i’ve already seen dune and the french dispatch, but the king has actually been on my list for ages and i might be the only person on the entire internet who has never seen cmbyn so i definitely have to fix that asap :)

overcoming my vehement distaste for conveying an ounce of emotion in public for the third year in a row now to offer you a confession of undying love rivaled only by that of timothée chalamet on his silly little hilltop. now imagine me there, sending him tumbling like jack with his pail, to wish you nothing but life, laughter, a theater that doesn't deprive you of kristen stewart in a wife beater on your shared birthday and a complete lack of rainbow road arm sleeves in your elderly years. i love you, i love you, i love you more than i love luca guadagnino's filmography, a trent reznor and atticus ross score, the color pink, austin butler's bald cap, my amc stubs a list membership, cannibalism as a metaphor for all consuming devotion... my twin flame, my meemaw, my light, my heart, my forever movie date even from miles and miles away, you are the absolute specialist person who deserves the absolute specialist day and i'm so immensely lucky and so immensely grateful to wish the third of many happy, happy birthdays to arguably the best aries out there 🤍 words cannot even begin to express how fortunate i am to have found you in this lifetime, and i'll continue to find you in many, many more. you’ll never get away from the sound of the woman that loves you, or whatever stevie nicks said. trust. @ptolemvea
