hello, I'm a younger transmasculine person and I was curious about a few things (for reference I live in the us in a fairly left state)

- how do you get started on testosterone?

I've never gotten a clear answer on this, some people said it took a two year queue, others could start immediately. idk when I want to start, but i dont want to be confused on what to do when I get the ball rolling

- are there alternatives to shots, and do they work better or worse?

I dont think I could do the shots myself unless there's no other options, something about them just makes my bones hurt

- how often do you have to apply T, and what happens if you forget to take it?

I'm pretty forgetful and I'll probably not take T on the scheduled date at least once, I hope that won't screw with anything because I don't really know if you've got to be consistent with it

- do you have any tips for clothing/voice training?

I think I pass at least a little okay but my voice is one of the things I'm most self conscious about. I also find myself spending 10-20 minutes every morning pulling my shirt against my chest to see if my binders working, and just end up wearing the same sweater I have for the past few weeks

these are all great questions, i'm so glad you're taking the time to ask! this is extremely thorough and well thought out!

How do you get started on testosterone?

That's a great question, i feel like a lot of people have barriers to this one. if you are in a state where you have access to Planned Parenthood, this is usually a good place to start. check to see if you have a transgender resource center in your area. if not, go to whatever local lgbtq organization you can find, even one in a college. it is also possible to search gender affirming care [area], but clinicians aren't always available via Google

Here is a list of informed consent clinics that provide gender affirming care services, you may want to look here.

The process looks different for literally everyone, that's why no one can give you a clear answer, i'm so sorry! it's such a chaotic process for all of us. some trans men will literally get their prescription for testosterone within a month, others it does take years. do some research and see if therapy is required before hormones will be prescribed in your area. if not, you will likely have a much faster and easier time getting your hormones. if you don't need therapy, generally you'll just need to sign some consent forms and waivers stating that you are aware of what you are going to do to your body.

Are there alternatives to shots, and do they work better or worse?

all forms of testosterone are equally effective, it just depends on the dosage and the person. currently in the united states, you can get topical testosterone in the form of an alcohol based gel! it is applied topically to the upper forearms or abdomen, generally daily. it works just as well as the injectable testosterone, so long as you respond well to it! there is also the option of having your clinician do shots for you if you don't respond well to gel, as well.

nebido also may be available for FtM HRT in your area!

How often do you have to apply T, and what happens if you forget to take it?

Daily for topical gel, anywhere between twice a week, once a week, to once every two weeks for shots, depending on the person, how well they tolerate the medication, their transition goal, and the dosage.

Do you have any tips for clothing/voice training?

In terms of vocal training, AmaRoseLessons, Zoey Alexandria, and Trans Vocal Training are YouTube channels that can help with vocal training exercises, and i can also recommend the r/transvoice subreddit as well if you need help figuring out how to practice and ways to integrate what you learn into how you speak naturally!

For clothing, really anything goes, it depends on what you're going for and how you want to look. Remember that your personal style still gets to be included in the mix! Generally speaking, bulkier shapes that obscure the shoulders, hips and chest help a lot, layering of clothes, and wearing clothes with "boxier" cuts. Heavier shoes like boots may help, you may also find you like dress shoes. it really depends on your personal look, but generally speaking, i say go into the "men's" section and go nuts. Whatever they wear, you can wear too, and it gets the point across.

“How many times do I have to tell you to take off your makeup before bed?” Kid huffs and lifts your chin up, his massive hand holding your face in a tight grip as he rubs a wet washcloth over it, his mechanical arm making this procedure more gruffly than needed. “Or do you want irritated skin, you dumbass?”

“Then why are you wearing lipstick to bed every night? We have to change beddings twice a week because of you and your lipstick marks everywhere.”, you snap back, trying to wriggle free from his grip but it was useless. You slump down again on the edge of the bathtub, letting your partner spoil you with his tough love while he runs you a bath.

“Okay, first – it’s tinted lip balm, not actual lipstick. Know the difference. Second, you don’t seem to complain when I leave those lipstick marks elsewhere so go fu-”

Killer chuckles softly as he watches Kid and you bicker at each other. He is standing there in his boxers and a shirt, mask off, brushing his long hair patiently, an important part of the daily night routine of the three of you, same as you and Kid mouthing at each other before he shuts you up with a kiss. Kid was wearing nothing but a towel wrapped around his hips and the hair band you gifted him for his birthday. It was black and red and even though he complained about what the hell he should do with something like that he still wore it every night after a shower, trading his goggles for the silky good.

Earlier today you found yourself crying in your pasta at the dinner table after an especially rough day – a sight that alarmed Killer first and Kid after his partner elbowed him in the ribs, making him look up from his own plate that he gulped down without proper chewing. Killer was quickly by your side, rubbing your back while Kid’s stern eyes just rested on you, as if he was trying to read to your mind about what you needed right now. When you sniffled and just asked for a night in, just the three of you, doing a little reset with lots of cuddling, his features softened a bit and he continued twirling his fork in his spaghetti.

“Of course we can do that, silly.”

And now here you are. Kid had a shower first after some oil spilling incident in his workshop, barked at Killer to take care of you meanwhile which he did wholeheartedly, helping you out of your clothes and wrapping you into a big bathrobe while the bath water was running simultaneously to Kid showering. You melted under Killer’s touch, his fingers kneading your stiff shoulders, loosening up every knot until you felt like jelly. It was when Kid’s shower stopped running and you joined him in the bath that the captain took over, helping with washing your face and ordering you to get in the bath.

Handing Killer your bathrobe, you dip into the warm water and sink into it until the tip of your nose almost touches the bath foam. Your eyes linger on Kid and Killer who exchange some soft touches, Killer’s lips trailing down the side of Kid’s neck while the captain tries to brush his teeth. You always loved how they loved. They may look rough on the outside and in Kid’s case this wasn’t entirely wrong for his inside, but also an angry tulip like him had a soft side, one that asked to be held, to be plastered with kisses and to be told that he was doing great, that things are going to be okay. Killer had a rich inner world, and once he let you in you fell head over heels for him, for the gentle and kind man who would murder but also serve dinner at 6, protecting you with all he got. You were lucky to be theirs.

While Killer washes your hair for you, Kid (who got rid of his mechanical arm for the night because Killed scolded him that it’s gonna get rusty) crouches down next to the bathtub and takes your hand, looking at your fingernails from every angle and thinking out loud how you’re gonna try a new color tomorrow and that you could help him paint his even though “you’re hands are so fucking clumsy you put half of the paint anywhere just not my nails”. Once you get out of the bath and slip into your pajamas, the captain also helps you with your skin care routine (which he set up for you) while Killer gives you a blow dry, combing through your hair carefully. You could feel their love through every tiny gesture, hear it through their calm chatter to get your mind off the things that have been eating you up and through the way they looked at you with so much adoration it almost makes you cry.

Kid gets into bed already, telling you to hurry up, while Killer and you quickly brush your teeth, the first mate’s other hand resting on top of your head as if he was trying to reassure you that you’re not alone, that he got you, that you’re going to be okay. You never knew brushing your teeth together could be a sign of affection until Killer proved you otherwise. He kisses you softly on the lips before shutting off the lights.

You crawl into Kid’s outstretched arm, resting your head against his bare chest as Killer gets behind you, wrapping his arms around both of you. Between the two of them you barely had any space in this bed, but you didn’t complain because tucked in the middle of their chests was where you felt the safest. It was as if they didn’t leave any room for doubt in there, just warmth and their adoration for you. Just three hearts beating in unison, clinging to each other awake and asleep, holding a love that was bigger than any sea, any night sky.

Kid pulls you closer to him, placing a kiss on your forehead and mumbling out your name into the dark. His voice was low and a little hoarse, a little rough around the edges just as his love was. Loving Kid felt like stepping into the eye of a hurricane, calm almost if you get past the irascible layer first. It was sharp at the edges but always there for you to feel it, his kisses speaking a language that told more than any words ever could. It was a devoted love, carrying his heart on his tongue and you ate it up wholeheartedly.

Killer has his face nuzzled in the back of your neck, his beard tickling you softly. He wasn’t a man of big words but his gestures spoke volumes. From the way he helped you fix your hair or how he let you try his pasta sauce, asking for your opinion despite knowing it was perfect every time, to stepping in front of you during battle, ready to snap everyone's necks who even faintly thought about harming you (even if it was just the cashier at the fast food chain who you asked for no pickles). His kisses set your skin on fire, still. After all this time.

You fight to stay awake a little longer, enjoying their embrace more while awake, but sleep quickly catches up to you, pulling you into a deep slumber with dreams that could never be as sweet as reality. Sandwiched in between your men you had nothing to fear; they threw all your sorrows overboard and reminded you that you were so loved, that you were their everything. It was the three of you against the world, their hearts resting in your palms like an offering; to love and be loved in return, for as long as you were sailing under the same moon together.

Fox News EXPOSED for supporting far-left charities, including the SATANIC TEMPLE

Rikki Ratliff-Fellman, director of programming for Blaze Media and executive producer for Glenn Beck — both of whom worked at Fox News at one point in their careers — break news on a Fox News corporate scandal.

In a shocking turn of events, the conservative-leaning media platform has been exposed for supporting far-left charities, including the Satanic Temple, the Trevor Project, Planned Parenthood, and the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Ratliff-Fellman says that earlier this week, a former staffer tipped her off with news of Fox’s internal “giving” program.

To say she was shocked is an understatement.

By reaching out to sources inside Fox, Ratliff-Fellman was able to witness the atrocity with her own eyes.

“I watched them log in with their ID, and they went to what’s called a ‘Fox Giving app,’” she tells Glenn.

The app allows Fox News employees to locate their favorite charities and make a donation that Fox will then match up to $1,000 annually.

It sounds benevolent — until you see some of the charities on the app.

“The charities that they brought to my attention … they’re not what you might consider to be a typical charity,” Ratliff-Fellman says.

And while she assures Glenn that there are legitimate charities on the app, including Samaritan’s Purse and even Glenn’s own charity, Mercury One, there are also several others that are deeply concerning, to say the least.

She then displays a graphic showing Planned Parenthood as one of the organizations Fox will match up to 100%.

“A little bit antithetical to some of the things that they espouse on air,” she says before moving on to show another graphic presenting the Trevor Project, an organization that promotes LGBTQ services, as another charity option.

“[The Trevor Project is] most recently known for supporting legislation for what they call gender-affirming care but what Fox’s core audience would refer to as child gender-mutilation,” she explains to Glenn.

Glenn can’t contain his outrage when Ratliff-Fellman shows him a third graphic displaying The Southern Poverty Law Center as another Fox-supported charity–a group that “has referred to many of the Fox News hosts as hate mongers” and called the company “a hate-filled organization,” she explains.

As if it couldn’t get any worse, Ratliff-Fellman presents a final graphic displaying her “favorite” Fox-supported charity: the Satanic Temple.

While the very notion seems an impossibility, one can clearly see on the graphic that Fox News does indeed say the Satanic Temple is eligible for company donation matches.

“If there’s any Fox staffers that are, you know, in the mood to donate to a terrible cause like the Satanic Temple, [they] can do that, and Fox can match that up to 100%,” Ratliff-Fellman confirms for Glenn, who can hardly believe what he’s hearing.

I've registered Cat-Thulu Productions DBA Cat-Thulu with the State of Nevada. I need to raise the $30 or so dollars it'll cost to get the business license from the city, and I have a bunch of other stuff I need to get or pay for. The total works out to something around $460, and DoorDash has been EXTREMELY slow.

I'm looking for a job that pays better than I currently have - mine makes $13.25 an hour but it's a work-from-home position, which cuts down on gas a lot....IDK. I put in several applications AND I applied to Planned Parenthood for a position I am Very Qualified for but I also have Impostor Syndrome, so who knows.

But I've been working on some stuff.

My workshop is actually a mess right now.

These rune pendants are for some Norse pagans I know - Yule gifts. Obviously, there's multiple meanings for all runes, but the base meanings for these are Daegaz - daybreak/dawn, and Eywaz - Yew/Strength. Her name is literally Dawn, and he's like a pillar of strength. I've customized them to individual preferences for color and general appearance and hand-sanded them, but honestly, I need a dremel to finish polishing them up. I found the exact polishing compound I wanted in my roommate's dead grandmother's utility cabinet - she was a helluva hoarder. But now I need a fucking dremel.

Harbor Freight doesn't have the best tools but the price is right. I'd need more accessories tho, especially for buffing.

Either of these would be nice, but once again, the price is right:

DoorDashing has been awful lately so I'm also super late on my rent (I usually pay $300 of it on the first; I've paid nothing) so I definitely do not have the money for this.

babe. babe, im so so sorry you had to go through that. um, if your friends are mad because you left because the owner is a white supremacist, it hurts a lot, no doubt about that, but maybe youre better off without them. ask your landlord if they can give you a break or maybe start a kofi page? im sure some of your followers would help out. im very sorry you and your gf parted. its horrible and awful and all i can recommend is finding something to snuggle, a pet or a warm pillow helps. about your roommate, that must be a very sorrowful thing. im sorry she had to leave. i hope you find a good one soon.

about the rape. lovely, i know you lost your primary care doc, but there are clinics and places that can help you. please, please, even if its just searching for five minutes, try and seek them out. if there are any planned parenthoods nearby, or their equivalent, or free clinics, or hey, some universities offer free therapies and pro bono um, sessions be it with a doctor or a therapist. just. please. dont put it away in a bottle and metaphorically toss it away. please, talk to someone. if you feel uncomfy about it being a stranger, a friend, virtual or not.

please dear. i know its hard and sometimes you just want to go to sleep for a thousand years, please talk to someone. find out where the nearest clinic is. you dont have to go, but the information will help you, ground you. youll know youll have a place to go if you should need it. also, and im very sorry if this, um, is trigger the word? i mix them up, if there is a womans shelter or a mans shelter, maybe pass by?

just know that whatever you need, you have people that care about you and wish you well. i hope things get better and i hope you can at least get a break from your landlord.
