Saw something on TikTok that didn't sit right with me today. A disabled creator was talking about how they couldnt work due to their disability and another disabled creator had stitched it saying things like "why not?" And "im in a wheelchair and i work whats your excuse" the comments were full of abled bodied people saying "i know someone with xyz disorder and they work this person is just lazy." With the second creator liking all of the comments like this. I dont know why this has left me feeling so uncomfortable it just seems like instead of bringing other disabled people down and perpetuating harmful stereotypes you should either be supportive or be keeping your mouth shut.
