The British

One of the continual things that amazes me is how racist Americans are about the British.

A country that has had national healthcare taking car of our teeth since the 60s... but Americans all caricature the Britsh with wild buck teeth.

Or the food. "British food is grey and horrible" they say between watching Jamie Oliver, Gordon Ramsay and the Great British Bake Off.

They make fun of our accents. "Bri'ish! Ahaha can't say t !" they say, doing an accent that is some bastardised version of the fake accent that was in Mary Poppins 60 years back.

And they always cast us as the villains in movies. "Oh you're so good at being the villain!" they say as half the cast with American accents are played by British who have to fake an American accent for the role.

But you say "Americans are racist about the British" and the first thing they do is say "No we aren't".

Then try to do a cockney accent.

day 192: emotions, calls and friends

round of way too much stuff happened today and im sleepy af, so basically my day started with an emotional call but also I WAS CALLED BACK TO AN INTERVIEW FOR A THING IM DOING SO YAY!! and then i got to campus and started working on my stuff, went to class and then went to a friends place and absolutely grinded my assessment i am so tired and like now im done i missed my bus and my eyes are soooo droopy so yea gnight!!
