I’m sure this has been discussed before but it’s incredible to understand why Shady!Marinette hated model Adrien Agreste so much — He was the picture perfect model that she grew to resent because of her own self-image issues. She couldn’t stand her own reflection that the damage her miraculous abuse has caused her and presuming she desired to be in the fashion world that the Agrests were the centre of, feared she would never measure up. It’s so human and teenaged and real.

Her revelation of “It’s makeup,” brushing away what was concealing the scars on Adrien’s face was really world-altering to her. Of course, we hear the bitterness in her voice that he’d been “posing as a fake” — (and, oh, is this not how so many idols are?) but, it is with this realization that she can start to rebuild how she saw herself. Adrien was just like her. He was damaged like her—And he was still beautiful. She can be beautiful. Reconciling these facts were the stepping stones she needed on a superficial level to go hand-in-hand with, and to help her internalize the speech that our Marinette gave her; affirming that she had the power to be beautiful on the inside too by not letting the choices she made in the past, present or future poison herself as well as others.

do you ever think about the fact, in the grand scheme of things, Caitlin DIED because Cisco left? She fell apart after the whole frost death saga and nobody was able to prevent her from getting off the mad scientist train /ronnie resurrection fakeout freakout because nobody was left who understood how to help her or even was enough for her to want to keep going like ??? Cisco always talked about how he needed Caitlin in his life because she was a home to him but in the narrative of the story, it’s Caitlin who always needed Cisco. Without him they LITERALLY wrote that she lost her humanity like ??? I’m baffled. Not to mention it was Cisco who pushed Caitlin to pursue her father and unlocked her memories that triggered the emergence of “Khione” in the first place.  

This is the best takeaway I can come up with for the whole khione development okay leave me alone.
