How do we feel about the “one bed trope” with tld/Brynjolf….because like it lives rent free in my head- like especially if it’s happening in a part of Skyrim that gets super cold so they like *have* to cuddle…

"Sorry." The woman behind the counter sighed and flipped through her ledger again. "We only have one room left."

"That's alright." He tossed a few septims onto the desk and watched her fingers trace along the messy bookkeeping. They'd shared a room before, changing was the only awkward part. "We're only here for one night. We'll manage."

The woman's anxiety seemed to ease when she pointed them down the hall, last door on the left. Brynjolf heard his recruit chattering away at his side and hummed along in agreement. He unlocked the door, comforted by the low noise of the tavern upstairs.

"Where's the second bed?"

There had to be some misunderstanding. The room was cozy enough, a desk tucked into one corner and a small wardrobe near the back. The only problem was the large, lone bed sitting in the center of the room where two smaller ones should've been.

As soon as they'd flopped onto the bed Brynjolf hurried back to the front desk. His heart was in his throat and he was gripping the counter to keep his voice low, not wanting to give anything away.

"I told you we only had the one left." The woman sighed, clearly trying to finish three separate tasks at once.

"There isn't another bed in the whole place? We aren't exactly," he paused, trying to talk his way out of the situation, "together."

"All booked up I'm afraid. Snow always brings 'em in."

When he returned he was just in time to see them curl up under the covers. Their hair was loose and curled over the pillow, pack thrown lazily onto the desk. Their eyes fluttered a bit when they looked up at him, a sleepy smile on their face that drove him mad.

"Nothing else?"

"Looks like we're sharin'." Brynjolf grunted when he kicked off his icy boots. Hanging his armor on the coatrack he felt oddly naked in front of them - he couldn't remember the last time someone had seen him in just a shirt and loose trousers. Their eyes traced shamelessly over his body and for the briefest moment Brynjolf wanted to ask if they liked what they saw.

"I'll stay on my side." They mumbled, curling deeper into the stack of pillows. "I can go ask for more blankets if you don't wanna share."

"I doubt you're goin' anywhere." They already looked half asleep when Brynjolf clambered onto his side of the bed. His heart was racing when he felt them shift a tiny bit closer to him. There was no armor or separate beds to keep his mind from wandering.

They stayed quiet for a long while. He watched stars twinkle through the blizzard out the tiny window and prayed it would be clear by morning. Sleep evaded him for hours, every tiny movement from his bedmate stealing all his attention. He had nothing to distract him from the sheer temptation snoozing beside him.

It didn't take too long for them to start shivering. Despite the mountain of blankets he knew it was chilly - the stone walls didn't seem to protect them from the overwhelming cold of Windhelm. Brynjolf told himself to tune it out. He needed sleep more than he needed to worry about them.

"You freezin'?" He finally mumbled, reaching a hand out. "I told you not to spend so much time runnin' around out there. You don't even have a coat."

"You're so warm." They practically moaned the words and Brynjolf couldn't form a coherent thought. He wanted to hear it again. They rolled closer, cheek pressed to his arm and greedy hands on his chest. "Do you mind if I -"

"C'mere."

He pulled them across the bed until every inch of them was pressed tight to him. He felt their chill seeping into his bones but couldn't be bothered. Cold toes pressed to his legs and their fingers slowly spread across his back, face flat against his chest. The little sigh they let out was enough to drive him mad. Their thin shirt left little to the imagination and gods, he needed something to stop his train of thought.

He hated how good it felt. Sleeping alone again would be hell but Brynjolf relished every moment of their body snug against his, every relieved sigh into his shirt. Their hair tickled at his nose when they shifted impossibly closer, one leg thrown over his hip.

"Bryn." They hummed his name in thanks and he knew. He'd belonged to them for far longer than he cared to admit but this was the last nail in his coffin. Slowly he raised a hand, tucking some of the messy hair away from their face as they looked up at him. He could feel them studying him in the dark. The moonlight provided little light but he felt every movement. They stretched, frozen nose bumping against his before their lips found his.

It lasted only a moment but it awakened a hunger he'd never felt before. He wanted to kiss them, to touch them, to know every inch of them. When they pulled away his fingers caught in their hair. He didn't want it to end.

"Sorry." They murmured and Brynjolf swore he heard his heart trying to beat out of his chest. He allowed himself to rest a hand on their waist and draw them closer. "I've wanted to do that for a while."

"Do it again." He swallowed past the nervousness in his throat, every bit of him tingling where it touched them. He knew it was easy to get addicted but he was desperate.

They kissed him again. They kissed him over and over until the blankets were kicked aside, warm hands clutching each other close. Their head was on his chest and legs tangled together when he finally felt sleep creeping up on him.

"It'll save money." They mumbled, half asleep. "If we keep sharing a bed. Overhead costs and all that."

"Yeah." He kissed the top of their head, thrilled by the content noises they made in response. "Gotta save money somehow."

So then John tries hard to treat him right and show him what it's like to have someone truly love him. 😊

This is my first post, so sorry if I end up doing something horribly wrong. I needed somewhere to talk about The Last Dimension’s power system that wasn’t the discord, at this point I’ve built a reputation. Anyway, short stuff, there should be zero spoilers in here (besides spoilers about the power system, obviously) and I’m going to attempt to write it so people who have never read TLD (The Last Dimension) before can understand it. Oh, also The Last Dimension is a webcomic on Webtoon made by Leaglem, go check it out, it’s amazing. Warning: This is… very long, to say the least.

Overview:

Imagine a void, filled to the brim with bubbles. The bubbles press upon each other, filling this infinite void up to the brim. Somewhere, in this infinite amount of bubbles, is one unique bubble, pressed upon on all sides until it has formed a sort of triangular prism shape.

Each bubble is a dimension, a little pocket equal in size to everything here in the universe, and this triangular prism shaped bubble is the dimension which the story of TLD takes place in. There are four main dimensions, which in this story are called Luos (singular and plural), that press upon the dimension, or Luos, that TLD takes place in.

Now, why are these four Luos important? Well, dimensions do not simply stay put in their little bubble. They bleed into the dimensions surrounding them. These four Luos, The Vehc, The Utso, The Kel, and The Baelta bleed into the Luos that TLD takes place in, called The Int.

Each Luos bleeds their own unique thing, which I’ll get into later. What’s important though, is what happens when an organism mutates to produce a large amount of energy. When they posses this energy, they will bond with one of the Luos that borders The Int.

The effect of this bond is called a Chondria, and it allows someone to perceive and manipulate whatever bleeds into the Int from the Luos they’re bonded to. Chondrias are generally separated by how they manipulate whatever their general Luos manipulates.

Now, let’s get onto the fun stuff, the Luos and their respective Chondrias. I’ll describe each thing that the Luos bleeds into the Int, and how its Chondrias manipulate it. I’ll also make sure to specify if how the Chondria manipulates its stuff is just the best theory we have. If I don’t say anything, assume it’s confirmed.

The Baelta:

The Baelta bleeds Essence into The Int. Essence is meanings, concepts, ideas. It makes up most everything in The Int, it’s what makes a rock different from everything else that isn’t a rock. There are three Baelta Chondrias, Sensers, Illusionists, and Casters.

Sensers can sense the essence of people, called their Auras. Weak Sensers can do things like figuring out what someone is feeling from their Aura, while strong Sensers can know information about someone, like what their Chondria is, from their Aura alone. It is unknown if Sensers can manipulate Auras.

Illusionists can change people’s perspectives of essence. They could change a rock’s essence to make it appear green, but it’ll only appear green to one person. It is likely that they can also change people’s perspective of things not related to sight, such as the texture of something, or a certain sound.

Casters can create Paths, which appear as glowing lines. When formed together in certain ways, they can make Formulas. Formulas are like blueprints for changing essence, and when energy is put into it, either from the Caster themself or an outside source, it will achieve the desired effect as long as the Caster made it correctly.

The Kel:

The Kel bleeds Poluk into The Int. Poluk is a fluid found in every living thing, and is basically analogous to a soul. It handles a lot of a person’s mental stuff, like memories, thoughts, and personality. It’s also very good at storing energy. There are four Kel Chondrias, Whisperers, Puppeteers, Molders, and Bridgers.

Whisperers can hear the thoughts of others. This appears to be more of something they have to focus on than something they just naturally hear, and it’s unknown if they can go rooting around in heads. They can also speak telepathically, and seem to be able to set up some sort of connection between two individuals that speak different languages to be able to understand each other.

Puppeteers naturally have stickier Poluk (Poluk is defined by both texture and density), which they can shoot out at others to stick onto their Poluk. From here, they can control the individual/creature. It is unknown how exactly they control them, but the best theory is that they order them around via their Poluk.

Molders can pull Poluk out of living things and push them into others. When enough Poluk is pulled out of something, it appears to wither and die, and when Poluk is pushed into something, it appears to rapidly regenerate it. They can also mold the Poluk into shapes to interact with or weapons to attack others’ Poluk directly with.

Bridgers are the most unknown of Kel Chondrias. Our best theory for how they work is that they Bridge ways for Poluk to reach them, and then can use the energy inside the Poluk for attacks or to power things.

The Vehc:

We’re not quite sure what The Vehc bleeds into The Int. It’s most likely potential/kinetic energy, but most Vehc Chondrias manipulate vectors, and I’m not entirely sure if that can be counted as a common subset of potential/kinetic energy. Vehc Chondrias, or should I say Chondria, is pretty easy. Just Weavers, though there are subsets depending on what vectors they weave, how they weave them, and the size of the vectors.

There are two main ways that Weavers seem to manipulate Vectors. Vectors themselves are like net of threads and planes. You can push and pull on them to manipulate them to interact with objects, causing an effect very similar to Telekinesis. They can also use them to power up their own strength by redirecting them from other forces.

The Utso:

The Utso bleeds information into The Int, and is easily the most complicated to understand. This is mostly because manipulating information leads to very complicated things, mostly Entropy and Quantum Mechanics. There are four Utso Chondrias, Oracles, Protei, Etumi, and Metranteri. Note: The singular of Protei, Etumi, and Metranteri is Proteum, Etumus, and Metranter respectively. I will try to explain these as best as I can.

How Oracles exactly is a mystery, but we have a good theory. What we do know is that they’re able to gain information about the direction of events, and can receive often symbolic visions of the future. The theory goes that Oracles don’t receive information from the future, they simply use information in the present to figure out the future. Why do you need to know the information in the future of a ball hitting someone in the head, when you can know the information in the present of the ball’s velocity heading directly for the person’s head.

Protei, the only Utso chondria that has a fully explained way of how they manipulate information, is next. They can manipulate the flow of energy, for example shifting heat from one place to another, by manipulating thermodynamic entropy. How do they this? Well, they follow a principle similar to Maxwell’s Demon. I won’t get too much into it, it’s a very complicated thing, but it was a thought experiment about a sentient demon opening and closing a massless door that is small enough to only let one atom in at a time. Using this, the demon could supposedly break the 2nd law of thermodynamics (the entropy in a closed system cannot decrease overall). This was disproved by the fact that the demon needing to know where the atoms were and when to open/close the door made the entropy increase. More information spread around, more entropy.

Etumi can manipulate matter and its states. For example, being able to increase the density of matter until it’s very similar to a solid. They can also raise the general temperature of objects. How they do this is unknown, but again, we have a theory. Considering they can compact matter, as well as increase the general matter, plus Utso’s penchant for quantum manipulation, the best theory is that they manipulate an object’s general atoms. They can make them closer together and more dense, or they increase their speed which increases their temperature.

Finally, Metranteri, which aren’t as complicated, mostly because we don’t know much about them. We know they can teleport, and would be the Chondria for portals/small pocket dimensions. They seem to generally manipulate space. It isn’t even known if the teleport is like quantum teleporting, or something different.

Conclusion:

More tying President Obama to the two-tiered ‘justice’ system

Agreed, 100 percent!  And what lovely imagery --- this cannot come too soon!  But there’s just one thing:  this quote came from former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, who was at the helm of Twitter during the worst of the unconstitutional collaboration between wannabe censors in government and their eager accomplices in the private sector.  So this is a head-scratcher.

The responses to his tweet show that many people find this Dorsey totally at odds with the other one, and they gladly tell him so.  One typical response:  “Your words today don’t match your actions when you were at Twitter, so which one is real?  No one really knows, although it generally makes sense to pay more attention to what people do, rather than what people say.”

Dan Bongino was back Wednesday to offer more details on President Obama’s involvement with Hillary’s State Department email scandal.  But, to borrow Yogi Berra’s expression, it seems to us like “deja vu all over again,” as the Huckabee newsletter was full of this story several years ago.  If Hillary had mishandled classified material, that meant Obama had, too.  As Bongino says, “This whole thing was about Obama the whole time.”

If you’re a longtime reader, perhaps you’ll recall legal analyst Andrew C. McCarthy’s 2017 article in NATIONAL REVIEW about why then-FBI Director James Comey had no choice but to drop the Hillary email case.  And, of course, you remember Comey’s surreal press conference on July 5, 2016, listing all of Hillary’s transgressions relative to her sneaky private email account and then saying “no reasonable prosecutor” would take the case because they couldn’t prove she meant to break the law.  She had simply shown “carelessness.”  But the issue of intent was a straw man; the way the law is written, there is no need to prove she intentionally broke it.

But a few months before Comey’s bizarre press conference, Obama had publicly stated the very same thing, about Hillary’s “carelessness.”  He’d said she didn’t mean to endanger national security and that the importance of the emails had been vastly overstated.  It was in that same month of April --- even before the FBI had interviewed Hillary --- that Comey started drafting his “no reasonable prosecutor” speech.

So now we can see where Comey got his rationale for letting Hillary skate.  Obama had dictated in April exactly how the case was going to go.  As Bongino points out today, Comey used the exact same words Obama had used when talking about Hillary’s case.

Another thing to note again today:  when Obama was communicating with Hillary on his Blackberry, he was even using an ALIAS.

Also, the Obama administration refused to disclose these communications between him and Hillary because they no doubt contained classified conversations.  (Even worse --- McCarthy doesn’t mention this --- we’re wondering if they might have had something to do with the raid on our consulate in Benghazi.  That would be an additional reason to keep them under wraps.)

So, because Obama had communicated with Hillary over her non-secure private communications system, McCarthy said in 2017, “it would not have been possible to prosecute Mrs. Clinton for mishandling classified information without its being clear that President Obama had engaged in the same conduct.  The administration was never, ever going to allow that to happen.”

Hey, maybe THAT’S why “no reasonable prosecutor” would take the case.  They knew it would mean a short-cut to the unemployment line.  They’d be taken off the case just as surely as those IRS agents investigating Hunter got dropped from theirs.

By May, while Comey was purportedly still drafting his so-called findings, “the Obama Justice Department had fully adopted the theory of the case that had already been announced by President Obama in April.  They leaked to the WASHINGTON POST that Hillary probably would not be charged.  The government scribes at WAPO dutifully noted the exact same rationale Obama had given:  that there was “scant evidence tying Clinton to criminal wrongdoing” because there was “scant evidence that Clinton had malicious intent in [the] handling of emails.”  And nobody at WAPO pointed out that intent had nothing to do with whether or not she’d broken the law.

As McCarthy wrote in 2017, all they had to do to prove Hillary had committed those felonies was show that she willfully transmitted classified information, was grossly negligent in handling it, and withheld or destroyed government records.  They knew she had done all of those things.  Under normal circumstances, plenty of reasonable prosecutors would have taken that case.

McCarthy went on to list “a series of Obama Justice Department shenanigans” designed to block the investigation.  “There is a way,” he said,” a notoriously aggressive way, that the Justice Department and FBI go about their business when they are trying to make a case.  Here, they were trying to UNMAKE a case.”

McCarthy could never have anticipated this when he wrote his piece in 2017, but lately we’ve seen plenty of the “notoriously aggressive way,” as it’s been used to destroy the lives of nonviolent Trump protesters who thought they were simply exercising their constitutional rights on January 6.  We’ve also seen them “unmake” a case --- the Hunter Biden case.

The Obama administration was able to dispense with Hillary’s case by essentially rewriting the statute to require intent and by, McCarthy said, “offering absurd rationalizations for not applying the statue as written.”  That plan came from Obama, to protect Obama, and was previewed by Obama three months before Comey gave his press conference.

FINAL NOTE:  We love to get letters but receive so many with the same refrain:  Why is no one ever prosecuted??  Why is there no accountability??  We’ve just served up one big reason.  Obama’s administration knew how to make itself impervious, to a shocking degree, and set up the ‘Justice’ Department to maintain their power.  It won’t change until we have someone in the White House who will do it what Jack Dorsey suggested. But until then, it’s imperative that people like us keep informing and reminding the public of what really happened, so that the whitewash the media keeps applying isn’t allowed to dry, and the next Republican government will have all the evidence ready to justify the herculean task they’ll face.
