( nai. 22. gmt. she/her. ) it might be HER SOPHOMORE year but I still think LANA JAMESON looks exactly like KRISTINE FROSETH and sometimes I think the CIS-FEMALE is actually them. Of course I’m wrong, as they’re 22 and studying DANCE while living in AUDAX here at Lockwood. The GEMINI can be rather EXUBERANT and ALLURING, but also kind of CHILDISH and UNRELIABLE. Their most played song on Spotify was DANCING ON MY OWN by ROBYN, so I think that says a lot.

she’s local to the NY area i jst havent decided where exactly she grew up tbh. probably somewhere upstate

okAY so her mum is an old money socialite / three time campaign model way back when n her dad is a big record label mogul. he owns a label called jameson records n they repped a few rly big rock bands back in the eighties, altho they’re mostly known for ‘poppy injects’ whose lead singer had a big heroin scandal tht brought down his career. lana p much grew up around musicians snorting lines instead of spooning down cereal fr breakfast n her parents were v much absent her whole life

they’re pretty well off obviously n bc of her relation to such a big music industry figure she’s hung out w a fair few relatively high rep ppl thru her teens. she amassed kind of an instagram following mainly fr her style (v penny lane-esque, lots of fur cuff trimmed jackets, pastel faux fur coats, seventies style platforms, flame red cowboy boots, fishnet tights n glitter galore) n bc she’s undeniably Very Pretty

her parents always kind of jst… didn’t like her. it was v clear that she was an accident after her older brother caleb n that even when they just had him alone they weren’t cut out for parenthood. they always kind of jst… ignored her n hoped she’d go away. she had to mke herself microwave meals when she ws only like 12 bc they’d forget to get her anything. once she went like 6 days without her mum even looking her in the eyes once

despite this tho!!! she’s always been insanely close w her brother caleb. he’s her whole world. thts why when he decided to sign up to the army she ws understandably scared bt supported him regardless. bt THEN he wound up getting discharged under grounds of severe ptsd when he witnessed his best friend die in an explosion tht took place in a shock raid. caleb returned home n he was never the same n lana kind of felt like he’d died out there too. he’s in n out of hospital a lot n it’s rly hard on her bt she doesn’t tlk abt it to anyone rly

growing up lana was always a huge social butterfly. jst literally…. knew Everyone n everyone definitely knew her. she ws one of those girls tht ws kind of impossible to ignore or forget. very animated, always made u feel like u were the centre of the universe whenever she spoke to u, always made it feel like u were best friends even if ud only spoken to her once. she has this magnetic way abt her tht is kind of hard to find in real life. it’s something ud only rly expect out of a movie character

she’s always been insatiably spontaneous n adventurous. always doing something weird n wild every weekend. she has ten thousand stories tht always earn a laugh or a gasp over how ridiculously absurd they r

ANYWAY so after caleb got back he was rly withdrawn n depressed. he shut lana out n was kind of harsh to her a lot of the time, always telling her to leave him alone or pushing her away. it didnt help either tht lana had a rly traumatic experience w some of her dad’s colleagues at the label when she ws 16 n he was away n she cldnt even tell him abt it once he was bk bc of his own traumas. she kind of jst shut it all in n kept it to herself

this obviously?? made her spiral a lot. she was already a girl tht loved sex (she’d only rly done foreplay before tho) but since her trauma it got…. completely out of hand. it got to a point where she couldnt rly go 2 days without it, probably not even 1. her lowest point has probably been scrolling thru craiglist for anonymous encounters n meeting up w strangers on there fr a quick fuck jst for the thrill even tho it’s insanely dangerous n she cld wind up getting herself killed. it’s v clear at this point tht she has a sex addiction whether she’s ever admitted it or not. in fact she’s so… shameless in her endeavours tht she’s actually currently having an affair w her ballet instructor tanya who’s engaged to b married

she also currently? is working as a cam girl. she found this website bc she trawls… porn stuff a lot n she wound up applying to work as one bc she thought it’d b fun n wld earn her some disposal income (even tho she frankly doesn’t need it bc she’s already well off). the guy tht manages all of the girls on the site is kind of suspect n it’s a whole plot i’m gna unravel where it’s actually like the front for a cult or something wild so. stay posted ig. KGJDKGJH

PERSONALITY/SOME FUN FACTS: uncontrollably flirty. boundlessly confident. cld make a joke out a paper bag n her comedy is sometimes surreal / absurd. she tends to laugh when she feels like crying n has a smile brighter than a ray of texas sunshine. always dapples her fingers thru the breeze when she’s driving in a car w the window down. her fav book as a child used to b alice in wonderland n she’d fantasise abt having her own little wonderland too where everyone knew her name n asked her things n took her on adventures. at the time it didn’t rly strike her how evident it was tht that was bc she was so lonely. she almost ALWAYS has some sort of sweet on her, whether it’s strawberry laces or gummy bears or cherry lollipops. she adores david bowie n prince n madonna n anyone tht’s a vintage style icon w little care fr what ppl think. wildflowers r her favourites bc they’re the brightest and u can’t buy them. she’s had like 8472493874 ‘relationships’ n none of them hav lasted beyond a month / hav been terrible / hav seen her being treated badly / she’s cheated on them. i dnt think she’s actually been w anyone she hasn’t cheated on in some form or another

PLOT IDEAS: exes tht lana’s fucked over hideously. she’d probably cheat a lot and it’d be a whole…mess. mayb someone tht flipped the switch and cheated on her? a cousin plot cld b fun too. a friend tht lana fel out w bc she slept w their significant other. someone tht’s getting lana into drugs?? she’s kind of impressionable/down for anything so tht’s a likely scenario she’d get into tbh. an unrequited crush!! (either way is cool). someone tht is just hanging out w her/using her bc she has a lot of instagram followers or they want to b signed to her dad’s label. someone in a band!! she’d probably make like penny lane n b their groupie/sleep w them all fgjkshgkh. umm a good influence too mayb? OH and a past summer romance/fling tht cld either have meant a lot or not have meant anything at all. bonus points if both of them hav a diff viewpoint on it. HONESTLY?? anything is fine i cld ramble for days. Let’s Get Wildt!

A Reylo and Kiara/Kovu comparison

Mostly told in terms of TLK 2 instead of SW

I’ve seen many post going around comparing these and I though it best to add my views coming from somebody who’s been trash for TLK since I was a child. I probably know more about these movies than I do my own family.

This will contain TLJ spoilers but everything’s under the cut because this is going to be long, so you’re safe until you click that read more. (This post contains pics!)

I want to start off by comparing the difference/opposites between the two, because there are many.

If we are saying that Kovu is Kylo, and Kiara is Rey then the family and living situations are very different and I would say opposites of each other but it’s not like the writers decided to base Reylo on TLK 2 ;)

To start with Kiara is the princess of this story (unlike Rey) she has a good family, and could want for nothing since the pridelands is full of life. Despite having an over protective father (which I wont go into because that’s a whole other TLK meta of its own) and pair of baby sitter that leave her with hardly any time on her own shes got a very good family structure and constant support.

Kovu on the other-hand is in the outlands where food is scarce unless you count the bugs, he has his mother and half siblings (though this is still questionable) his family aren’t very caring or kind and live their entire loves on the basis of killing Kiara’s father so that can live in the pridelands. (Though this is down to Scar previously ruling it, I feel like its a good comparison to the First Order seeking to rule the galaxy much like the Empire had)

These are two very different backgrounds to how Rey/Kylo grew up, and although we don’t know every detail, I can safely say that Kylo was more likely to have grown up being treated like a prince (up until going to Jedi school) and Rey grew up with practically nothing and surviving on false ideas.

The first Meeting;

Similar to how things took place in TFA, Kovu and Kiara first meet up when they’ve both gone far from everybody else. Kiara was practically running away from her home, much in the same way Rey was running form the light saber and those visions. Kovu makes himself seem like the big bad but he doesn’t actually try to hurt Kiara (especially since she doesn’t exactly lie down and play dead, but unlike Rey she doesn’t try to fight back until he provokes her.) They then end up falling into a crocodile nest and have to run for their lives which I like to link to the fact that the area where Maz’s castle was is currently being destroyed by the on-going battle. Though unlike Kylo, Kovu still hasn’t received his scar. Also baby Kiara flirts with Kovu.

Despite both of them being reprimanded for this, (although in Reys case it turned into a rescue mission) Zira twists the situation in Kovu using this as a way to get closer to killing Simba (with this epic musical number), like Snoke deciding that Kylo should “bring him the girl”. Unlike in TFA they’re both children and leave unlike Kylo keeping Rey on Starkiller for info on Luke’s map (which i’m still annoyed by, I mean if they had most of the map surely they’d be able to locate what the missing piece was by flying around the galaxy right?)

The “second” meeting

Zira orchestrates a plan to set fire to the pridelands, using all her children to follow her bidding (i’d say these would be Hux and Phasma, but comparing with to Nuka would be mean, Vitani on the other-hand is great) when Kiara is about to taker her hunting exam (I guess there’s no better way to describe it) having set up Kovu to rescue her and win Simba’s favor. And it works.

Kovu saves Kiara and then she gets very mad because he ruined her hunting exam and better yet she doesn’t remember him. So despite the plan working out in this movie, nothing like this happens in TFA, but you could compare this to the force-bond moments within TLJ.

Now this is where my opinion differs from most of the fan-base, since everybody likes to talk about the pond scene (which I’ll cover later) but if you want to split up the new SW trilogy within this movie, than I’d say that the childhood sections are TFA, the bulk of the movie would be TLJ, which leaves barely anything for the next movie other than my hopes for the direction Reylo will take.

So at this point, I’m comparing the entire time Kovu spends with Kiara at pride rock like the force bonding moments, because this is tuning point for Kovu. His head had been filled with his mothers opinions on Simba only for them to all change while he’s with them. This is also when Kiara and Kovu start to fall for each-other. I don’t think I need to say much about this since I’ll just add the pics because they speak for themselves.

This all leads up to the “There is is” moment - the touch. (Simba see’s this and really isn’t happy *cough*like Luke*cough*) But then they get a romanic musical number so its OK. Alternately you can listen to Kylo and Rey’s themes.

Obviously after this nothing goes right. Simba just starting to accept Kovu invites him out for a chat when Zira and her pride of lion (Or the First Order party) turn up and attack Simba sparking the basis for the war. Zira essentialy calling Kovu a traitor gives him his scar.

Where Simba banishes Kovu - Luke breaking the connection between Rey and Kylo. From here the pair don’t really see each-other because Kovu’s run off finding “nowhere” for him to belong, where he see’s a reflection of Scar in the water. Which I like to think would be like Kylo looking at his mask and finally seeing that he shouldn’t be like Vader. Kiara decides to go after him, because love, she re-visits all the places they went together. This is like the scene where Rey puts herself in the pod just to see Kylo and bring Ben back.

Its this scene that makes me think of then Rey looking into the mirror (or whatever it is) because I think in the way that It appears that Kylo is in the mirror before she looks at herself is trying to show us that Kylo’s part of her, and that Rey is only one half of the force. In this scene Kiara is looking at the water feeling like half of herself is missing, and that half is Kovu.

The “final” meeting

In true movie fashion in TLK the reunion is a dramatic run toward each-other before they embrace. How I wish we had a real hug in TLJ. This leads up to the Reylo fan-favs “We are one” and “Let’s run away together and start a pride, all our own” yup, classic.

Unlike Kylo and Rey, this conversation happens before the fight. But it still has the same impact of Rey telling Kylo they can’t leave, they have to fix the problem and actually unite the galaxy, while Kiara has smaller plans of just uniting both prides. This is where I’d cut off the comparisons with TLJ. Despite the fact that Kylo ad Rey do fight together and take down the guards, I think that the battle at the end of TLK2 could be more fitting for the next movie installment.

Now this section is purely me speculating about the next movie based on TLK2 but I’m just going to roll with it.

I don’t see any reason for Kylo and Rey’s force bond to weaken at all (despite the soul crushing door closing scene) so I think they’ll still be able to communicate which will mostly be Rey trying to bring back “Ben” and Kylo just trying to get her. Now if Kylo can locate Rey she cant stay with the resistance meaning that Kylo could follower her somewhere else for them to have their own version of a reunion (though without a romantic musical number, but love will find a way!) If Rey can truly make Kylo see that together then can save the galaxy we might just get to see them stop a huge battle between whats left of the resistance and the FO. They could finally end the SW story on a good note, of a galaxy united, with both the dark side and the light in balance.

Reveals

So it's been a while since SDCC, and I was holding out for some Studio Series figures to be revealed and while there weren't any revealed at the convention, there were some just revealed a few hours ago today so, with more than just Seige figures to talk about, let's look at them all.

Battle Masters

Rung, FINALLY. He's adorable. He's tiny. He's a yes.

Single, meh. That's all I can say. Pass.

Micromasters

Ratbat and Frenzy. I DON'T CARE THAT HE'S BEING CALLED RUMBLE I WILL FOREVER CALL THE RES ONE FRENZY. Maybe a yes.

Direct-Hit and Power Punch. Meh, they're meh. Pass

10 Pack of Micromasters, this is a good thing I think. Reminds me of when Transformers Armada was out and there were multi-packs of Minicons that you could get so instead of 3 a thing you could get 6 at once. I hope to see more of these. Maybe a yes.

Deluxe

Ratchet, he somehow looks better than Ironhide. Comes with some nicer accessories too. Personally he's a favorite character so maybe a yes. Don't like that he's a Wal-greens exclusive though.

Bluestreak, I think I've talked about him before, but just in case, he's cute. Walmart exclusive so maybe. If I find him. Also a fav.

Refraktor G1 toy recolor. I honestly like this. It's a good way to get 3 of the figures at once all while being different from each other. And you get a Kremzeek figure (looks like the original MP Megatron version?) so that's neat. Probably if I find him in store.

Lancer, ew. A bad mold with worse colors. Complete skip these girls deserve better.

Voyager

Ion Storm, Acid Storm, and Nova Storm. It was bound to happen. They uh, look like they're supposed too, so there's that. Pass.

Soundblaster, just like with the above, was bound to happen. Pass.

Animation Optimus Prime and Megatron. Putting both as one cause I have the same opinion for both and that is honestly YES. These look really good. I wished this was the default look/ paint schemes for the whole line, instead of the battle-worn look. Maybe a yes.

Leader

Galactic Man Shockwave, I think it's neat, like with the Refraktor recolor, I think it's a great look for a nice figure and a good way to sell something. Could be used as another character. Pass sadly .

Studio Serirs

All Deluxe

2007 Bumblebee, he looks really good. Looks like another heavy retool of the TLK mold and that works, it was a good mold, and I'm hoping to pick that up soon. Comes with his blaster and either just a mask or alternative head but either is awesome. Definitely picking up.

Rotf Arcee, Chromia, and Elita, FINALLY YEEES. I have been holding out for these and I am so glad they're being made. Initially I was going to pick up 3 of the Legends class Arcee and paint them up differently for my Definitive Display but this will be a better option in the long run. All in all, all 3 look good and accurate. Definite yes.

Dotm Soundwave. By default yes. He looks a bit weird in the shoulders but other than that he looks really good. Plus he comes with Lazerbeak, and that'll probably be used for my Definitive Display. Definite yes.

Tlk WW2 Hot Rod. I'm....a bit disappointed. On the one hand, I'm glad he was made, on the other, I wish he was more of a retool of the Bee mold instead of just a couple of new things. He only comes with a new head, chest and a gun. Might skip.

And that's all of them I think. Overall, a lot of good. Still probably not gonna pick up any Seige figures cause they don't appeal to me but the few movie ones yes. And that's dat.

Favorite thing about them?

To this day he's easily Disney's ballsiest villain. By a long shot. For every single point he hits, Oppression, the negative side of religion, and lust, he hits it right on the mark like no other villain. Ratcliffe's portrayal of ''Racist Man' was way too comical/pushed to a cartoony extent (Pocahontas as a film is Cringe Ass anyway). I know he comes after BATB but even Gaston's Big Horny motif wasn't anywhere near as Good as Frollo's!! The Stockholm Syndrome in Tangled clearly takes a lot of notes from HBOND so there's no way to say this man wasn't a pioneer in the history of Disney villains!! And they knew that!! They tried to replicate his character/recreate the abusive guardian thing in HBOND 2 because it was so perfect but they flopped!! You can't BEAT him!!

Least favorite thing about them?

We never got to see the spit take. You know what Im talking about and you know you do. Where's the spit take, Disney. It's within my rights. I wanted to see it. I deserved to see it.

Do I like their movie?

My #1 Favorite Disney Movie Of All Times spot constantly fluctuates between TLK and HBOND so YEAH. YEAH I'd say I enjoy the movie.

Do I like their design/outfit(s)?

GOOD. FELLOW. You wanna talk about Iconic??? Look no further than Frollo!!! I went as him for Halloween SEVERAL times in middle school because I wanted to look that Fresh2Death for just one day. The purples, the reds, the black...he invented the Goth Disaster look. All who came after him were mere posers. He looks like he has clinical depression and listens no nothing but Three Days Grace and Skillet and I respect that to no end.

Do I like their song (if they have one)?

If you're looking for a sign that Hellfire still fucks harder than most Disney songs, this is it.

What do I think of their minion(s)?

Frollo doesn't really...H A V E minions in the traditional sense as in villain sidekicks he's constantly interacting with on a personal sense and Jim can't count for this instance (That's a little joke for the mutuals, like and subscribe if you get it) I G U E S S the closest thing he's got are those two guards who have like...what, a combined total of three lines? They....play their part and get the job done, I guess. Patrick Star of Spongebob fame threw the first tomato at Quasi, let's talk about that one.

Which trait of their personality do I most see in myself?

The intense clawing acknowledgement of my own humanity/flaws and ravenous desire to suppress them. But in my case it's less Mass Horniness and more like...struggle with self image/worth and guilt that I do in fact sometimes dream about things modern society and internet culture have deemed as toxic things for milennial women to want (A boyfriend and eventually a house in the suburbs with no children and like five cats)

Frollo's kind of a hard one because I feel like saying there's anything in him that I personally see in myself is sort of a red flag/invitation to be pegged as a terrible person but I guess my previous answer is as close as it's gonna get.

How would I rate their hero?

I DO like Quasi. This is not a ''The mean hero hurted my villain and I hate them'' blog, if you want that you gotta go back in time to 2010 me. LITERALLY the only thing I don't like about Quasi is that the gargoyles don't stay in his head. Lotta people hate the way their comic relief breaks up the serious scenes and their tension and while that IS a valid criticism I've always seen their interaction with Djali and Madeline in the sequel to be a bit more....immersion-breaking. Like...if you REALLY wanna go into ''They muck up the serious scenes'' that cancels out literally every single Disney Renaissance sidekick so I don't really count that one.

Esmerelda and Pheobus are also great, they're one of my fav Disney couples. Hate their son, tho. I give them a solid A rank.

Where do they rank on my top favorite villains?

S Rank and no lower. Don't ever try to tell me he's anything lower than the top of the food chain in Disney villains. Thoughts and prayers go out to the Maleficent and Facilier fans, love you to death, but F Bomb always comes out on top!!!
