My favorite headcanon, which is entirely unsupported by canon and dubiously supported by popular fanon, is that ALL avatars get silver/white hair as they become less human. Jon was already going gray as a human, but by season five his hair is entirely white. Martin's got that streak everyone gives him post-s4. Melanie had a slowly increasing number of streaks while she had the bullet in her leg (maybe everyone assumed she was dying them?) and they faded once it was gone. Agnes was born with salt-and-pepper type white hairs, but mixed in so thoroughly you have to get close to really see it. Annabelle's spiderwebs on her face continue in a pattern of white in her hair (yes, even though it's bleached). Do you see the vision
