alright i haven’t watched TOH since it ended and i’m gonna be honest i thought all the hexside stuff was boring and i didn’t pay much attention to the coven stuff. oops

BUT!!!! i think Anton would be like Eda and just say fuck it to all the specialized magic tracks and just use wild magic. he’d probably like making abominations and beastkeeping, cuz he’d like interacting with all the magic creatures and palismen and stuff. he’d also like potions and healing too :) and he’d be best friends with King because of course he would

Dew would like illusions maybe? or healing? tbh i’m not sure. maybe he’d like beastkeeping too (honestly everyone from tllr would like beastkeeping they all love animals). you know what? he’d be like Luz. the main character and undecided on what magic to use. maybe he’d be a human and use glyphs

Layla would like plant magic, Hayden would also like beastkeeping and maybe illusions, Sawyer would be into potions or healing. the three of them would be friends at hexside, Layla and Hayden would have a similar role as Willow and Gus, and Sawyer would be similar to Amity. Aspen would be a wild magic guy, he doesn’t follow the rules either. Silas wouldn’t even be a witch he’d just be an evil monster they’d have to kill

Presenting to you all, The Last Surviving Member of the Archives (All Four of Them). Summary:

Four separate timelines. In each one, only one person from the Archives team walks out alive. Scarred, changed, traumatized, but alive. Jon's alone in the Eyepocalypse. Martin lost his Jon into the Lonely. Tim has made it his mission to destroy any devotees of the Fears. And Sasha... Sasha has completed the Corruption portal started by Jane Prentiss. When she steps through it, she finds herself in a world where the Fears have won. And her three, long-dead coworkers are there too. Each without any explanation as to how this happened.

See the thing about The Magnus Archives is that SPOILERS

At the end of the show Jon and Martin are taken thought a portal that leads to another universe or possibly multiple universes. Which means I’m constantly putting these two guys in my current interest.

One of my favs is TMA/Carry On bc both Simon and Jon have wonderful parallels and I even thought of an amazing plot on which all Cosmic Fear Entity’s are destroyed and all Magic Holes get restored that makes a lot of sense. Jmart being weird uncles my beloved. (I have a couple sketches)

There is a sillier Warrior Cats crossover which I made that also has a lot less serious sketches.

Also thought of a Neverafter and Witch Hat Atelier crossover (tho witch hat is an insert instead of a post cannon tma)

But what I’m trying to say is - of course I thought about jmart and ttm crew meeting and how esp Neil would be affected by the fears bc he has so much potential for multiple. And all the flavors that the Sigcorp has is just really really perfect!

Sigcorp does such an invasive procedure where all your secrets, your whole life is laid bare and that is so Eye to me. But the doctors are also somehow angels of death which is giving Terminus and Neil specifically is so so Lonely but also needs to Know and is So So So afraid of dying, The End. Do you see Cat do you???

Anyway so the plot would be - Fears (and jm) enter Sigcorp universe (maybe even unbeknownst to them as code in a simulation 👀👀👀👀👀) and the eye has chosen it’s knew stronghold and it’s Sigcorp - specifically Neil as he is somehow the heir to the laggy Lynri build up.

Jmart come investigate this new stronghold and there we have a premise that has no where to go. But wouldn’t that be fun??

im coming into ur inbox to talk abt cranboo tma assignment because hoo boy ive got SO MANY THOUGHTS.

ok so i do have a TMA au and all the characters are based off dsmp obviously

but anyway i digress.

now ranboo is interesting because hes *afraid*. he is full of anxiety over pretty much everything which is what makes it easy for me to see him as at least touched by every entity there is. what jumps out the most for me as the most influential on him is the eye, the spiral, and the web.

with the eye, it's not so much that he fears being watched, although he is terrified of his secrets being known via his do not read journals and uncontrolled enderwalk states. cranboo has the drive to know and learn without really understanding what cost that might bring to himself. finding the portals, both of them, the experiments, the books, the lessons, his silent watching and recording of events that transpired in new lmanburg and the butcher army and in logstedshire and the arctic and the cookie outpost and las nevadas. he is there. he doesnt intervene. he watches, he writes, he records. he stays out of it but he is inextricably weaved into it, yknow? hes terrified of knowing but he digs up his yard anyways to find the disc. he hates dream but still has a nightmare about the prison. he doesnt understand anything about himself and it drives him MAD. he HAS to understand but hes TERRIFIED of what he might find.

this ties into the spiral as well. the prison nightmare, the constant routines, the fractal mining and constantly running around in patterns over and over, the panic room, the journals. its all to keep him grounded but it really only serves as a way to run himself into a rut. he cant tell what is real and what isnt because his routines follow him through everything and his memory keeps failing him and people keep messing with his journals, TRUST NOONE NOT EVEN YOURSELF, hes paranoid and he backs himself into corners but the floor is falling out from underneath him, yknow?

the web is also a prominent influence especially with how much he doubts himself and his first hand account of how dream has manipulated tubbo and tommy and EVERYONE else, with his dreams and the enderwalk and failing memory he doesnt know who to trust and he doesnt know peoples intentions and he doesnt know if his actions are his own because he cant remember.

those i think are the most prominent influences on him but with the other entities there is some sway there as well:

the buried: the panic room, the hidden disc, all his underground tunnels and small tight rooms and squirreling away

the corruption: he is filled with debilitating fear that through his own or someone elses actions he is becoming a bad or evil person

the dark: panic room, made of obsidian.

the end: paranoid totem collection to keep his friends safe

the flesh: ties into his fear of conflict and how that conflict has changed himself and his friends. acidic tear scars.

the hunt: ties into the fear of being watched, hes scared that people will find him and hurt him if his secrets are revealed. definitely exacerbated after the butcher army and doomsday.

the lonely: he spends hours by himself. terrified of taking sides so his indecision severs any ties he has

the slaughter: conflict avoidant tendancies springing from a fear of war and divisions and what those kinds of things can bring

the stranger: see the prison nightmare again. uncanny valley off the charts. he doesnt know dream but dream knows him there is Something Not Right

the vast: ties into the spiral, infinite and unending tunnels and rooms and hallways, cranboos limbo is water as far as the eye can see

the extinction: paranoia over the nukes store in snowchester. his panic over impending doomsday. the helplessness to stop or slow any of it.

cranboo fascinates me to no end. i personally think that he could be The Archivist if he tried hard enough

not sure how much I wrote on my own, so I've just counted up my AO3 for 2022: looks like we're clocking just north of 900k at 900, 344.

*cracks knuckles* so these are the ones I have every intention of writing in the future: either i've put words down for it, or have thought about it enough that I do think I'll write it. put under cut because. a lot.

MALEVOLENT: THE CASE OF THE MISSING LILY or FORMALDEHYDE or NOBLE EXPERIMENT, title in progress: First on the block is a 1920s Prohibition AU where John is kicked out of the portal and realizes he has to commit a human sacrifice if he wants to rejoin the KiY. however, complications arise with the sacrifice he's found, Local Drunk Arthur Lester. The two are embroiled in a case for a missing singer.

This one’s gonna have a lot of Prohibition fun facts in it. 

Unnamed Cybernoir Future AU - Arthur Lester and Parker Yang are your local PIs. when investigating a case, they find a game that they thought was only an urban legend: the King in Yellow (think Polybius). Accidents happen, killing Parker, knocking out Arthur's memory, and inserting one unnamed fragment into Arthur's brain. i have been wanting to mix Lovecraftian nightmares and Cybernoir forever.

Unnamed Dracula AU - Known pianist Arthur Lester is invited to Dracula's castle, to perform for a party. An alleged party, as days pass and Arthur finds that he's the only one there. During his investigations, he uncovers an odd book and receives an odd voice in his head - and he realizes he's not the only one trapped in this castle.

Some one-shots: a post-EP 26 where John is temporarily yeeted into the driver's seat of Arthur's body, a little cozy Christmas Parker & Arthur feels trip, etc.

TMA: Just some one-shots here for the time being! Looking at a jig-saw themed Scottish safehouse one-shot, an early S2 'John helps Martin move into his new flat' one-shot, and a Somewhere Else 'Martin finally helps John celebrate his birthday' one-shot!

The Story Of A Meeting

He was falling through the psychedelic swirls of his smoke. Time was passing in a moment and a minute all at once. He was everywhere and nowhere, scattered and compressed. He was falling through a paradox. He was the paradox.

And that's when he hit the ground.

The impact didn't hurt too much, probably due to whatever poor plants he landed on. He did however hit his head a little painfully. It wasn't a concussion, he got hit in the head enough to know the difference immediately, but it did make his vision spin and ears ring.

Taking a moment, Karl was able to look around. It was night time but a scattering of lanterns and a half moon in the sky showed the outline of his surroundings. It seemed cozy and warm, a thick forest to one side and a few stone houses dotted on the other. Lanterns and torches could be seen flickering in the distance. It was a very peaceful and serene picture.

It would make a lovely postcard.

The sound of a heavy door being thrown open had Karl snapping his head towards it. A figure, back lit by a lantern, stood in the doorway. Tall, broad, and the metal armor they wore glistened in the light. The sword they held also glistened in the light.

"Who are you?" They called in a commanding yet slightly confused tone.

Honk, must have seen the portal through the window, Karl thought to himself as he bolted towards the forest, I just got here! I can't get arrested for witchcraft. Yet.

He could faintly hear the person start chasing him as he leaped and stumbled through the trees. The blood roared through his ears. His clothes caught on the branches. It felt like fire was nipping at his heels. He kept running. Not out of fear but out of curiosity. He landed in this dimension and he wanted to know what stories it held.

It finally registered that the person was yelling something at him in what sounded like concern rather than anger or alarm. Karl slowed his pace the slightest bit.

Then ran straight off a small cliff.

His vision doubled and tripled as he blinked open his eyes. He didn't remember closing them. He definitely had a concussion. Something large was moving next to him and he could feel multiple legs start to poke at him. He could make out the fuzzy outline of what looked like a spider.

Hopefully it's poisonous, he thought to himself as he bared his neck to the creature, it'll get rid of this concussion faster.

----------(Sapnap's POV below)----------

"What in the name of XD are you wearing," Sapnap asked the strange man laying in front of him. The man did not answer. His chest was moving so he was breathing, thank XD, just out cold.

Sapnap had thought they might have died when they ran off the cliff. Finding them on the ground with a spider on top of them didn't bring much hope either. But by some miracle from XD, they had nothing worse then a bump on the head.

They were back in the guard house, the stranger layed out on the spare bed while Sapnap hurried around grabbing supplies. A potion of healing, a bottle of water, and a muffin. He figured they must be from the End Empire, considering the colorful goggles he had on, but it was the only real lead he had. The stranger was just too strange to pin down: the colors, the outfit, and no tails, feathers, or fur either.

Sapnap left the goggles on them but removed the coat, reasoning that it was unfortunately very common to overheat near Neather Waste Demons, like himself. He knew he had better control than most but medical training and protocols were created for good reason.

As he was folding the coat, a book fell out of it. It was leather bound and looked professional made. There was a green and purple square swirl painted on the cover and the title "The Adventurs Of The Cunning Pirate: Captain Puffy" was painted below. The back of the book declared that it had been written by "Karl Jacob".

"Karl Jacob," he tested the name aloud. He'd never heard the name before. It was just a bit too strange to be familiar but close enough that he couldn't just dismiss it entirely. "The name suits you," he said approvingly.

"Thanks, i picked it myself."

Sapnap nearly set alight out of fright. He hadn't expected him to wake up for at least a few more hours, much less speak clearly. He looked over to see him already sitting up with his feet hanging off the bed.

He rushed over and gently pushed them back down. "You shouldn't be moving around so much. You've been injured and need rest."

Karl seemed to consider this for a moment. "Fine. One condition," he broke into a wild grin, "you have to tell me a story."

A story? A strange request from a strange person. Sapnap was mostly relieved that he wasn't going to have to chase after him again. Running in armor was not ideal and even harder at night when you couldn't see anything.

"Alright. Drink some healing potion while I tell the story, it'll help the headache", he agreed. He grabbed Karl's book off the floor and started to flip through the pages.

Hey, am I the only one who's realized that the buff dog and commander dog from the Howling Aces fight are likely to be married and the four pups that fly around you are their kids? Like, I have no screen shots, but it's obvious once you see it.

They have their dad's face but their moms ears! It's adorable! One big aviation family! So cute!

TMA Portal AU Concept

Wow nobody's going to pay attention to this really idea but I hope somebody likes this concept as much as I do.

Also spoilers for Portal and Portal 2 if you haven't played them and you want to.

Warnings for Portal-typical unethical science, possessive behavior, unhealthy relationships, objectification (it/its pronouns have no relation to the objectification if you can believe it), Jonah being a bastard

So Aperture Science (no need to change the name, the eye puns make themselves), was founded by one Jonah Magnus. It's sort of an invention haven and everything is mechanical. He hires an Archivist to keep everything in order and running by the name of Jon Sims.

You know what happens after that.

Anyone who needs the story, Jonah gets too ambitious and dies, his dying wish is that Jon run the facility and Jon's brain is jacked into a computer and corrupted over many years by the system.

Sasha James wakes up with no memories and a masculine robotic voice guides her through test chamber with thinly veiled distaste.

She doesn't die in a fire, escapes, and manuevers through the bones of the facility to reach the Archives. She takes down the king with a bright green eye, and is unfortunately dragged down and put into stasis.

A personality core calling itself Tim guides her and even though she doesn't really talk, he does enough for the both of them. They plan to escape, accidentally wake up the Archive and form a more urgent plan of escape.

Tim takes the place of the Archive and knocks it and Sasha down an elevator shaft due to a fit of corruption-fueled anger.

Sasha discovers the past of the laboratory and the Archive digs up some memories it had repressed a long time ago.

Memories of working in a place it couldn't escape with a man who treated it like an object, when it wasn't, when he wasn't, he was a man, he was an archivist-

When he was Jon.

Sasha is not really aware this sort of panicking connection is happening but she has put the pieces together.

They head back up to the main facility, wrest control away from Tim, the Archive takes charge again and lets Sasha go.
