[IMAGE ID: The background of the image is two dark tree branches framing a pinkish-red sun dulled by dark clouds. The quote, written on top in white Lucida Calligraphy with a red text shadow, reads "The way life pulled them apart was gradual, natural. Perhaps one might liken it to the tale of the boiling frog, whereby a frog is placed in tepid water that’s gradually heated to its boiling point. But that would not be the right type of metaphor. It was more like how a tree grows, with branches separating but growing and reaching to the sky, to the sun, all the same." END ID]

For the requests, how about a quote edit of one of your favorite things one of your friends have written?
This quote is from the absolutely lovely @loverdontleave‘s fic lost inside this sanity of mine, which you can read on Ao3 here! A little fun fact, you can faintly see gold flecks in the background, which was inspired by the practice of kintsugi in which broken pottery is mended with gold, similar to how Melanie has broken and is beginning to mend herself.
Image ID:
[IMAGE ID: The background of the image is a red gradient that is brighter at the top and darker toward the bottom. There are faint, translucent gold flecks visible across the image. In white Century font with a break after each sentence is the following quote: There is a song in her head. A voice that calls for death and destruction, calls for her to bring the world to its knees. It is loud, and ceaseless, an old, familiar tune that she’s carried with her for so long, coming to light at last, with this new birth. As the song reaches a crescendo, and with a last, painful exhale, she lets go. The slaughter is mindless. END ID]
