Should Physical Buttons Return?
Tumblr media
We hear you, they’re not bad, but they’re not great. The Tamagotchi Pix was the first model to introduce touch buttons, and that would be the standard for the next two years. They aren’t that bad, in fact, they’re rather responsive, but definitely take some time to get used to. You have to look at the screen as you’re touching each button to ensure you’ve clicked the right one. Don’t get us wrong, we like them, but are they going to be the standard moving forward?
Tumblr media
The Tamagotchi Smart, released in Japan only has one physical buttons and the rest is handled directly in the touchscreen. With such a small screen, its definitely hard to know what you’re clicking. Which leads us to the question, are physical buttons the way to go?
We’re not sure what Bandai has up their sleeves for the next devices, and they haven’t disappointed so we’re sure it’ll be great, but should it have physical buttons?

Target’s Clearance Tamagotchi Pix Hit Goodwill Stores
Tumblr media
The Tamagotchi Pix is no longer on shelves as it was replaced by its predecessor, the Tamagotchi Pix Party. We saw that some stores were running clearance deals, including Target which marked them down to as little as $17.99 which is a whopping 70% off!
Well it looks like those Tamagotchi Pix’s on clearance at Target that did not sell have made their way to Goodwill stores. Bonbonsandbooks on Instagram found a sky purple Tamagotchi Pix at their local Goodwill in Holly Michigan marked down to just $9.99, now that’s a deal!
Tumblr media
It’s worth checking out your local Goodwill store to see if you’ll find a good Tamagotchi deal, you just never know what you might find. If you could find a Tamagotchi Pix at just $9.99, how could you resist?

Amazon Lists Tamagotchi Pix & Tamagotchi Original 25th Anniversary Commemorative Shell Sets
Tumblr media
Looks like Bandai Namco US is taking a page out of Bandai Korea’s book. Amazon has just listed sets of the Tamagotchi Pix and Tamagotchi Original 25th Anniversary Commemorative shells! How cool is this?
If you were planning on buying both separately, why not buy the bundle? You can see that there is now a new style option when chopping for a Tamagotchi Pix, you can get the Tamagotchi Pix, or you can get the “Pix + 25th Anniversary” option.
Typically the set would provide a small cost savings, but that is hard to tell right now since this style is not yet live, and no pricing has been provided at this time. It’s also unclear if this will be exclusive to the Tamagotchi Pix Party, or will also be available on the Tamagotchi Pix as well.
What is clear, is that these sets will be exclusive to Amazon since the Tamagotchi Original 25th Anniversary Commemorative shell is exclusive to the popular online retailer.
We’ll keep you posted as these sets become available for purchase on Amazon!
