My headcanon is that Shepard had a teeny-tiny crush on Garrus in ME1 but the girl is a professional so she just shoved that surprising development way down to think about later. 

But sometimes, lets say when she’s injured and a little buzzed from the medi-gel, she lets some of her inner thoughts out. ^^

Look sometimes you got to let your sweet, over protective, 7ft tall turian boyfriend carry you home after a night on the town. Shepard hasn’t had much practice in heels and her feet are killing her. Garrus is more than happy to help out.

@a-cosmic-elf​ inspired this ‘Turian wearing something that sort of resembles Roman armour but if I only use one reference and that was one from the film 300.’

 I gave up on being historically accurate and just went with sexy. Never let me complain again when a game designer makes female armour and it's just a bra and underwear.
