got a worm nibbling my brain. can someone help me find a piece of obscure media?
webcomic/indie comic from the 2010s. basically a sci-fi short story about a young girl (with red hair?) who was being raised by scientists as part of an experiment. she receives a haircut/has her head shaved, in preparation for her annual brain scan/testing. it is revealed that while her body is human, her "brain" is artificial, made of computer implants throughout her skull and spine. at some point her biological mother (also a scientist on the same campus?) encounters her and is repulsed, viewing her as a machine who has murdered her daughter.
it was very poignant and it bruised my heart and i can NOT find it anywhere

Ok ok hear me out: it could end in tragedy,, AND have a happy ending. The attempt(s) on Machete’s life force him to flee, he doesn’t even have the chance to find Vasco. Cue gay longing for at least a few years while Machete despairs over the loss of his love, his life, his status. He and Vasco only reunite (again) in their later years. Their relationship is forever flavored with loss and loneliness, but that only means they savor every moment that much more
I also I would like to see them as old men. Vasco would be so droopy :)
You gave me such old dog brainworms.

the audio distorts when people lie.
I imagine this knowledge will come in handy later.
[id: ALICE: This is not something you go poking around in. Not if you want to keep your job… or your neck. SAM: (a little amused) Okay, okay! I get it. Consider me scared straight. "Consider me scared straight" is highlighted. end id]
[id: LENA: Now, while I understand your concerns, you need to understand that Colin has held the IT Manager position for some time without incident, and although he is somewhat… frustrated with his current assignment, he can request help from the central IT team at any time. I am certain that should he find his responsibilities unmanageable, he will request assistance. Or resign, of course. Either way, the problem will resolve itself. "Or resign, of course" is highlighted. end id]
[id: CELIA: Is there any way to look up specific files? ALICE: Like what? CELIA: Oh, I don’t know. Every case about… being buried alive, or meat, or… whatever. ALICE: Well, there’s a search bar, but it doesn’t actually do anything. You’d have to dig through them all manually. (suspicious) – Why do you ask? CELIA: Just figuring it all out. Ah well, I guess I’ll need to find Bigfoot on my own time. "Just figuring it all out" is highlighted. end id]
[id: GERTRUDE: I see. Well, I’m sorry, but I don’t think Gerry can help you – GERRY: (casually) Yeah, I barely remember any of it. "I don’t think Gerry can help you" is highlighted. end id]
[id: GERRY: Oh yeah, but I was pretty young. I remember filling in a bunch of forms and questionnaires, then some old men asking me questions about what books I liked to read, who did I look up to, that kind of thing. And then I left. SAM: (disappointed) That’s all? GERRY: Yeah, afraid so. Other than just sitting around with a bunch of other kids in a room that smelled like old books. "Yeah, afraid so" is highlighted. end id]
[id: CELIA: I’m trying to look into… Weird physics stuff: time travel, other dimensions, teleportation, all that good stuff. Freddy doesn’t really do searches, so you could keep an eye out and let me know if any come up in your cases? SAM: Uh, sounds a bit sci-fi compared to our usuals. What’s this for? (amused breath) You’re not doing research for that podcast you were on, are you? CELIA: (surprised) You know about that? SAM: I might have given you a quick Google. CELIA: Then… yeah. I’m doing a favor for Georgie. "yeah. I’m doing a favor for Georgie" is highlighted. end id]

I’ve been a part of IRL queer and trans communities for almost 15 years, and I’ve watched every single one those remorselessly communities chew up and spit out transfems. None of them ever having been able to keep a transfem around for more than a year without getting a “bad vibe.” They’ve all kicked people with no other safety net to the curb, completely cutting them off from any of the benefits of an accepting community. Every transfem I know is either dead or living in poverty with no lifeline besides, perhaps, an extremely unhealthy tgirl skyrim house. Trans guys are just as quick to engage in this type of behavior as cis people! It’s like. Insane to me that I’m getting called delusional over this, I’ve watched this exact thing play out dozens of times. It’s happened to me and every transfem I’ve ever known IRL multiple times. Like. Everyone knows about the tranny hovels. Where do you think that comes from if not from the community widely excluding and discriminating against us? That’s not a situation that happens unless you have literally no where else to go. How do you think we would end up in such uniquely precarious situations if there were not power to leverage over us?

Magical girl who's powers come from the moon <3 but not in a mystical magical symbolic way there’s a whole-ass physical network of buildings and massive power generators and relays on the moon that monitor her location at all times and determine when she needs to transform, harnessing neon and helium-3 gasses to produce high energy plasma that gets magnetically manipulated over thousands of miles to match her exact unique dna code which then gets spliced together and wound up into a single smaller capsule and loaded into a special missle which gets shot through space in a giant metal pod at near lightspeed before breaking apart dramatically, zapping her, and exploding; causing her to go beastmode and very probably temporarily completely insane and giving her abilities such as being able to run through solid titanium doors or kill multiple on-edge squads of shadowy military agents or do laundry for a time duration of around 5-25 minutes. Each time this happens it makes the news and it costs her something like 35 million USD and it’s actually a huge geopolitical issue in-universe.

Sorry for the lack of content lately, things have been a little hectic over here <:)
To make up for it, here's some concept work I've been doing for a project with @kittyacelia!
His name is Natter because he's very talkative (like all Huskies tend to be). You can call him Nat for short if you wanna, but Natter is fun to say. :) do you care him

"Haah...you settling in alright, bud?"
His client had just finished filling his stomach, and they were already squirming around in either displeasure or panic. "Easy, easy..." He patted at the squirming bulge in his stomach in an effort to soothe them. "I'm here to keep you safe, remember? You'll be escorted just as I promised, sorry about swallowing you so suddenly like that...but nobody should bother you if you're hidden. Just sit tight and relax, alright bud?"
Although his methods were a little...unorthodox, he enjoyed getting escort jobs. In general he loved working as a sort of bodyguard, protecting people made him feel happy and fulfilled. Though eating his clients wasn't exactly a part of the job...their motto was "Your Shield," and what better way to do that than to shield someone with your whole body? Anything that wanted to hurt them would literally have to go through him, and he wasn't about to make it easy for anyone.
Resting his hand on his stomach, he felt his charge finally start to settle down. Good, now he could start moving. The other good thing about this is that he didn't have to worry about eating on the job like this...though he might take a few breaks along the way. Working on a full stomach did feel pretty nice.

thinking a lot recently about the inevitability of my blog being a constant wall of text whenever i answer questions and it just kind of sucks because that’s not why i remade my blog. do u think it would be really silly to have a separate blog for questions? like i could turn asks off here and have a redirecting link. maybe it would make things a little more manageable
