One thing to know about me is that I also have an annotated copy of the illiad. It’s an abridged version from my childhood and every time Hector’s name is mentioned it’s surrounded by glitter-gel pen hearts bc he was my first crush as a child.

AND gilear is his stepdad. just L after L on the parental front for fabian aramais

Casey had been listening to Uncle Tello, at first, taking great care to absorb all his lessons for a future without him in it. But as he did so, listening to this man who he had known and relied on his entire life, who had carried him around on his shoulders like he was weightless as a child, who he had once watched run a literal mile-long race with his brother just to end an argument (Casey had timed it himself,) this person who had always, without question, been strong and capable and confident and indestructible in Casey's eyes, even despite the world they lived in, in spite of everything... he came to a horrifying realization.
Looking at him now, Casey was quite certain that if he were to wrap his fingers around his thigh, his fingers would touch.
Based on the latest arc in @somerandomdudelmao Apocalypse Series. I am being very brave and choosing to trust them.

Prompt:
It’s not that Jason forgot, per se.
But between smuggling a toddler out of the League of Assassins, trekking halfway across the world, and finding a suitable hiding place that’s also child friendly… well, it kind of slipped his mind that he’s supposed to be… dead.
Something that comes back to bite him in the ass when he takes Dami out for some ice cream and just so happens to run into non other than Brucie-fucking-Wayne

It is my sincerest and unironic belief that we must invest in preserving "old technology." The more we move to a hegemonic, easily-surveilled way of living, the worse we will find this world to be.
Letters, public phones and transport, cash, and so much more are key to ensuring both freedom of movement and information, but also to combat the surveillance state. We need to preserve the ability to both access the world but also to be untraceable. I truly hope more people start to recognize this. It isn't about nostalgia for the past. It is about ensuring that we are actually afforded freedom, from the richest person to the person who lives on the sidewalk.

Nico and Percy's dynamic through the series is eternally funny to me, because it's just. like.
Percy's having a constant mental struggle between his fatal flaw of loyalty with a promise he made to Bianca to protect Nico, versus his Big 3 kid desire to maim other Big 3 kids / Poseidon descendant urge to totally maim Nico specifically. He hates Nico so so much. He thinks Nico's annoying and weird at best, and creepy/sketchy when he's older. The only positive thoughts Percy has towards Nico are "He's Bianca's brother and Bianca was my friend and I owe her/He's Hazel's brother and Hazel is my friend and would kill me if I was mean to him," "He's a powerful asset and useful ally (if questionable)," and "He's kinda pathetic and I feel maybe a little bad about it." Percy has multiple occasions throughout the series where he strongly considers - and on one occasionally actually goes through with - throttling Nico.
Meanwhile, Nico is following around Percy like a lost puppy. He explicitly can never bring himself to even dislike anything about Percy no matter how hard he tries. He has a whole bit in BoO where he's mentally going "UGH he's so stupid BUT IT'S ENDEARING HOW DARE HE." He's totally smitten. He's making deals with his dad for Percy. He's making convoluted plans to help Percy stand a chance against Kronos. During the entirety of BoTL it's like he's playing tsundere - "I'm helping NOT PERCY SPECIFICALLY with this quest! Me helping Percy would be SILLY because I DEFINITELY HATE HIM." Then he proceeds to show up to Percy's birthday party to basically ask him on a weird date and spend the entire next book scrambling around trying to help him or protect him or impress him. And Percy could not give less of a shit.
Just. That dynamic is so funny to me. Percy is the founder of the Nico Protection Club in that he's the one they're all protecting Nico from and meanwhile Nico is throwing himself at Percy to the point where the literal god of gay love calls him out on it.

Hello azu, I have a question about the cover of your fancomic "Godfather"!
I like your comic, but I don't understand the symbolism of the mourning frame next to Shane, could you explain it to me?
I just think that the grief of losing his loved ones killed him too, if that makes sense.

BROOOO Your post about the kids got me thinkkkking. So when I was younger, if my parents got into a little argument, (nothing serious, probably fighting over who get the last piece of bacon or some shit) my younger sister and I would PICK SIDES! We would run our tiny selves over, and listen to both of their sides of the story- we pretended like it helped us pick, but we each went with the same parent every time, no matter what. So, once my sister went to my mom, and I went to my dad, we'd cross our little arms and have their argument between our little selves. We'd argue why our side should get the bacon. It always ended in a laughing fit and stupid arguments, that led to the family throwing stuffed animals at each other. I haven't thought about it in a whole, but I thought it felt like the type of thing to happen in the Bakugo household.
THATS SO CUTEEEE???? I can just seeing the divide happening in the Bakugou household when you and him argue. Your kids hearing the scuffle downstairs and GUNNING for it. The eldest is daddy’s girl so she’s obviously on his side, crossed arms and puffing her chest like him and the middle one is mama’s boy, confronting his sister in your honor even tho he knows she can beat him up. It’s usually the youngest that has to be the tie breaker so cue her siblings trying to convince her who’s right. Meanwhile you and Bakugou are trying your hardest not to laugh and join in on the “war” that consists of a plushie or two being thrown around.
But just imagineeeeee if Bakugou did something wrong. All three kids on your side, reprimanding way more than you would or need to, even bringing up unrelated things like how he lied about taking them out for ice cream and instead it was a doctor appointment. You can’t even be mad at him anymore with your kids picking on him. They love to bully their daddy cuz his exasperation is always so funny.
