I’m honestly surpriced by how different the album sounds compared to the previous two. This one had a lot of elemnts neither of them had.

Like Sandcastle Kindoms was all those sweet riffs and Shawn working their magic to make something like the title track work. It was the kind of music Nate made for a long time. Paid In Exposure had a lot more classic rock elements and a lot more poppy vibes. But it also had so much variety, from bones to Dream Alone to Call it Off.

With this, I can hear everything he has done between these albums. I can hear the journey and adventure he webt through figuring out lofi music with Give Heart Beats. I can hear the heavier elements he explored with Scrap Heap. And my god, his vocal range. He used to barely do anythinything other than clean highs and soft lows. But this has so much more personality to it. From growling and screaming and shouting to way softer vocals.

Well and truly and album long in the making. I am amazed.

Crawling out of my lurking to just say how proud I am of Nate for pouring everything into To Let Go and sharing those emotions with us.

Already, I've seen so many people connecting with these songs (myself included), and while Nate has been open with us to a fair point about his mental health in recent years, it must take so much courage to share these raw, emotional songs with our community.

The album is beautiful. From the pain resonating in the beginning songs giving away to a hopeful tone by the end of the tracklist, to his wonderful vocals, and the complete contrast in tone to Sandcastle Kingdoms or Paid In Exposure, it's very clear that so much was put into the making of To Let Go.

I hope Nate is so proud of himself with this one and I'm so happy he's shared it with us all so that we can be so, so proud of him too. 💜

when i turned on the new NWTB album, I expected some neat rock songs that I could vibe to. What I didn’t expect was the amount of FEELS that hit me while listening.
