“I don’t see you turning on any lights,” he said as you returned to your preferred spot on the couch.

“I prefer to play by glow of television,” you responded with a dramatic tone.

If Bucky rolled his eyes, you didn’t see it. “It’s how I’d be playing at home, keeps me focused so I can help you do your job.”

“And the only reason you hate my lists is because you’re already a god damn perfectionist so you can’t stand when I point out the flaws you missed or suggestions to make your work even better. But that’s why Maria hired me. Your community manager knew the user feedback I was giving when you launched the game was excellent.”

Bucky scoffed and shook his head, crossing his arms.

“Your game is only perfect after they put it in front of my face, Barnes.”

“Shut up.”

It was your turn to scoff. “Make me,” you said and took a swig of your energy drink.

Bucky pushed off the wall and in three swift, silent steps was in front of you. With your head tilted back as you drank, you only saw him when he leaned forward, looming over you. You spluttered a little, and he smirked.

Titans: New Beginnings

- one thing i liked about the dcamu movies was Kori being an older sister figure to everyone, especially Raven. i want to explore that more so Kori and Dick will be atleast 5 years older.

- this comic isn’t exactly a “continuation” of the dcamu, i wanted to express my view of the team in my own way so not everything that’s in the dcamu will be the same. i want to mix some themes from comics, the 2003 teen titans series, and the dcamu.

- im going to have Donna, Conner, & Victor apart of the team. Why? Id like a third female character and Donna seemed best fitting + the preview we got of her in the dcamu made me want to explore her character since we didn’t get any of it :( . Conner of course just has to be there. and Victor is going to have some interesting plot points + i love cyborg, especially his friendship with Beast Boy in the Teen Titans 2003 series.

- everyone is older than in the dcamu. im in my early twenties and a lot of the experiences i’ve had adjusting to young adult life i’d like to apply to the Titans, i always wanted to see them move on from being teens to young adults!

Hi, thank you so much for asking! I'll always jump at the chance to share my opinions on musical theatre so thank you for the excuse!!

Hadestown

I don't say it lightly when I say that this show is a masterpiece. I was lucky enough to see it on Broadway with Eva and Reeve and also once on tour. It's spectacular.

2. Six

It's not a perfect musical in my opinion but I think it's just so clever and for some reason the title song always makes me cry. "Heart of Stone" is damn near always playing in my car.

3. Come From Away

(technically came out 6 years ago but close enough)- I don't find myself listening to the music very much but watching it on tour was breathtaking. It just gives me hope in the goodness of every day people and was expertly written/staged.

4. Titanique

I am very biased because I saw the original cast in previews when it was still in the basement of Gristedes. I was in the front row Marla Mindelle as Celine Dion gave me a high five when she came out. I laughed so hard I cried. I've always loved the movie Titanic and it was a perfect parody. I'm glad it has continued to be successful. Also, it's the only jukebox musical I like besides Mamma Mia.

5. Schmigadoon! (Season One)

Okay so I know this isn't a "musical" in the traditional sense but HEAR me out. I think the show was across the board so perfect for me. A well crafted narrative, extremely catchy (almost too catchy) music, compelling characters to root for, and it both makes fun of and praises old timey musical theatre. I love golden age stuff and had so much fun picking out the references and themes. Cecily Strong plays a character named MELISSA (my name) who is a know-it-all about musical theatre. I have never ever ever felt more seen. If anyone needs to feel something again, or just kind of touch base with why you love theatre, watch Schmigadoon. I really loved season two as well, but most of this is about season one. Plus you can't go wrong with that cast.

Honorable mention: Beetlejuice (I just need to see it first, hopefully will see it on tour soon). I am also curious to see Kimberly Akimbo and Shucked but don't know enough about them yet to make a fully formed opinion.

Set during Season 1 to Season 5. 17k in counting (will be a oneshot). You can find a preview here. In this fic, you and Daryl get separated when the Governor attacks the prison, and though you both believe the other person is dead (or long gone) you find each other at the most unlikely time, in the most unlikely place.

I am super excited about this fic, and the themes of hope that I have woven into it. Because yes, I unironically love writing about hope and how the human spirit can persevere - which is something that my favourite moments in The Walking Dead show. This is first draft complete and just needs to be edited.

The Jaws of Life (for DC Titans) - Jason Todd x GN!Reader. Sequel to Emergency Contact. Lovers Reunited. Extreme Angst, Smut, Hurt and (some) Comfort. Set during Season 3. 21k in counting (will probably be a oneshot - if it needs to be split up, it will be put in two parts, but I hope I can get away with a oneshot). (I highly recommend that everyone go read the original in the meantime, because it is one of my best fics ever.) In this fic, you and Jason struggle with the new meaning of your relationship after what happened with Deathstroke - only for this tentative change to be harshly disrupted by the Joker. And you're still heavily mourning when a red hooded stranger breaks into your apartment one night, seeking medical care because apparently - you owe him one.

Everyone give Jaycen @nctzenkane a big fucking round of applause for this one, because he was randomly talking to me about Jason Todd today (we were having the 'some characters are only fuckable in costume' discussion) - and I got talking about how this version of Jason from Titans makes me so passionate to write about the character. And it is solely because of him that I opened up this fic and took a good look at it - I have been thinking about this fic for months, wanting to finish it because I know I am gonna be proud of it, but I kept hesitating because I thought I had a way bigger mountain to conquer with it. But the conversation I had with Jaycen really inspired me and I wrote 5k on the fic just today, and I realized that with this momentum, I could have the first draft done by the end of this month. So I am promising myself that this is gonna be done soon.

Speaking of which - when The Jaws of Life is first draft done, I wanna host a poll so you guys can decide which of those two ^^ fics goes through the editing process to be posted first. Both will be posted (hopefully) by the end of May, but I do wanna know which one you guys wanna see posted first. Which leads me to:

When Suffs opens previews later this month, Emily Skinner (1970) will have ten Broadway shows to her name. Levi’s unexpected reveal of the Titan serum goes better than Shion would’ve predicted. Yet its existence adds to Hange’s growing responsibilities despite their injured state as the Survey Corps devise plans leading up to Historia’s coronation.

“Show me the serum!” Hange’s cheeks flush as they eagerly grab empty air in Levi’s direction.

Shion immediately kneels on their bed to rest a restraining palm on their good shoulder. “Easy.” She then glares at Levi for his abrupt—and potentially dangerous—change of topic. “Hurry up with the details before Hange attempts something we’ll all regret.”

“This is a single dose to be injected into the arm or neck. The syringe resembles the one Rod Reiss intended Historia to use.” His eyes narrow. “Given his subsequent transformation, it’s unlikely to leave the target with their mind intact.”

“Eren did say that he was chained in place so Historia could eat him once she transformed.” Hange begins thoughtfully stroking their chin, to Shion’s relief. “Only shifters have been able to think for themselves while Titans, and that shifting ability must be rare.”

“So I don’t need to worry about you trying that serum yourself, right?” Her voice cracks.

Their eyes widen before they weave their fingers through hers. “I swear I won’t experiment with this serum on anyone, including myself.”

Shion slumps forward. “Thank goodness.”

October 1980. Dick Grayson's college career hits the wall: After too many Robin-related absences, he's in serious danger of flunking out. His business administration professor offers him one last chance to save his grade by doing an extra-credit research paper, but Dick ultimately blows it off and simply leaves Hudson University for good, also ghosting his girlfriend in the process.

Dick subsequently enrolled in Gotham University for a while, but it didn't take.

There were a couple of real-world reasons for this change: format changes to DETECTIVE COMICS that would no longer leave a slot for Robin's eight-page solo strip; the first of several unsuccessful attempts to again make Robin a regular costar in the Batman stories; and the imminent launch of NEW TEEN TITANS, in which Robin was to be one of the headliners. (The preview of the new series in DC COMICS PRESENTS #26 was released around the same time this issue was on the stands.) So, it no longer made sense for Robin to be tied to his frankly lackluster solo adventures at Hudson University. It was too bad for Jennifer, but given the later trajectory of Dick Grayson's love life, she was probably better off.

BEHOLD!!!

My Coffee inspired Titans have arrived and they're even better in person!

Small and Mini poured in Caramel macchiato. I debated forever on which size I wanted. I couldn't make up my mind and continued to ask for both mini and small in drop suggestions and figured I'd leave it to whichever one had the better pour.

When they previewed the drop, I knew I was fucked because even though it's the same pour, the style and way the color shifts on each of them are so unique, I wanted both.

I was having issues in choice because I wanted something close to average human size. I have one toy that I feel is realistic in length but not girth, and one more realistic in girth, but not length.

Titan's measurements are pretty spot on with average national size at mini being along the smaller end of the scale and small along the larger. obviously, 'average' is subjective as hell, but I took those measurements from a sexual health study based in the US over a year ago.

**when I first started getting into spicy silicone, I was confused about sizes and how they would work in real life, but I remembered an ex constantly bragging about his 7 inch wang. when I bought my first toy, I purchased with that in mind, that 7 inch being a Medium Titan. Imagine my surprise when my Titan came in and it was massive, followed by a 5 inch that I got later that was, in fact, still larger than him. 🤔**

Mini:

Mini is true to it's pour name with mostly deep strong coffee browns, swirls of golden caramel and a feathering of matte and shimmery white. The surface of the toy is very smooth to touch. It reminds me of latte art...

Small:

I love the way the color sits on this, and also the shimmer! So much shimmer along the entire toy, much more than it's mini counterpart, however, the surface texture of the toy is a bit grainy.

It's the same pour, but sits on the model differently, with more white centered at the bottom part of the shaft. Not as much feathering as the mini, but it goes from a strong, deep coffee at the top of the shaft and then fades into a shimmery drizzle over the white. I see more of an affogato style with this pour.

There's so much depth to it! There are two different white pigments, one flat, the other shimmery and it just looks amazing together, especially the way it swirls on the head.

And here is the family portrait!

Mini Caramel Macchiato, Small Affogato, and Medium Tiger Boba Latte. I am so pleased and it was definitely worth the wait to have them all together. It's not lost on me that it also marks my One Year collecting with Medium Titan being the first dong I received (though it was the 3rd I purchased, i just got it first) while Small and Mini are the last i purchased (but not the last to receive, I have an order still waiting to be shipped from overseas). However, it did mark an end to collecting, so very fitting, nonetheless.
