🎀 ~ babyboy actually adores you sm:( he’s such a little lovesick puppy it’s so cute
🎀~ like, one time you had to go away for a hunting trip, and the second you got back home he was practically glued to you. Telling you how much he missed you and how much he loved you:(
🎀~ loves when you play with his hair, or when you braid it (and ofc he does the same to u)
🎀~ ik we ALLL know it, but he’s such a “my love/ma tìyawn” , “ma” , “mama” “mamas”, typa guy and it SHOWS
🎀~ always checks up on you, like hes so in tune with you’re emotions. He can tell what’s bothering you just by your body language and breathing
🎀~ always convinces you to do dumb shit with him😭 and if you’re already naturally a reckless person you’d just add to his fire
🎀~ says “again” or “one more, mama” after kissing you (you always giggle and grant his wish ofc)
🎀~ holds and kisses you when you’ve had a bad day, having cramps or if you’re feeling a certain way:(
🎀~ always makes time for you, no matter what. He cares for you and he makes sure you know it.
🎀~ hates the people you hate, and if he catches them talking about you, you will be coming home to him with bloody hands and a bruised face.(the others looked worse tho!)
🎀~ will randomly compliment you when you’re doing something, just to see you get all giddy and excited
🎀~ hugs from behind, and amazing hand placement 😩
🎀~ “hyper bf 🫱🏽‍🫲🏾 hyper gf“
🎀~ loves to cuddle. Will literally pull you onto him (because he’s always taking advantage of how much more stronger he is than you) and force you to cuddle with him. And if you try to get off he’ll just lay on top of you!
“Lo’ak! Please! Get off of me! You’re too heavyy!” You shout, but he could care less. He was too busy shoving his face into the softness of your tits.
“I don’t care! You’ve been up for way too long and I need you to relax.” He demanded, pressing more of his body weight onto you.
You huff in annoyed, opening your mouth to say let out a snarky comment, but closing it the second he lifts his head up to glare at you like he knew what you were going to say. Finally making you submit to his advance, falling asleep under the comfortable weight of his body immediately.
🎀~ knows you have a tendency to overthink, so he’ll constantly be there to reassure you. And you always do the same for him.
🎀~ whenever he gets into in argument with his dad/ just has a bad day, he’ll always go straight to you. And you always know by the way his ears and tail hang all low and his his shoulders are slightly ridged, so without hesitation you take him into your arms (barley tho) and stroke his hair gently, allowing him to finally relax as he tells you briefly what happened.
🎀~ will pick you up randomly and throw you over his shoulder/ carry you bridal style. Especially if you’re talking to someone and he wants your attention ;(
🎀~ “bf that talks a lot 🫱🏽‍🫲🏾 gf that also talks a lot, but listens”
Tumblr media
A/N~ here’s a lil sum before I start writing for “pandoras glow”! I kinda got a lil bored of writing this so I apologize if it’s a lil short😭 regardless tho I hope you enjoyed! Love you guys endlessly and stay safe💕

Curious - and this isn't meant to be shade or anything negative - but are there other POC systems / POC with PTSD who have kinda just stopped talking about their trauma in white prominent environments just because they never get it and in an attempt to help tend to just do microaggressions?
Cause honestly we largely don't bother trying at this point because we've pretty heavily come to terms that most white people simply do not have the breath and awareness of cultural differences to not only understand the trauma but to even respect it properly.
Curious if there were other POC that shared this experience / fatigue / general sense of 'not worth it'.
It's especially bad in my experience with a lot of people unintentionally screaming their lack of awareness over Model Minority and shit and its so fucking not worth explaining or even bringing up. And no, I probably won't explain it here unless I'm in a good chatty mood cause I'm really over trying to explain that to white people and its not my responsibility to educate them.

Fandom, WTF
It's not just X; it could happen here too. My fucking god, a Transformers YouTuber almost did the unspeakable last night because of cyberbullying. Because people who claim they are being heroic are doing such terrible things. And they do it so damn fast.
(The YouTuber is more stable and safe at the moment)
You don't need to know the exact details, but the person made a post on X that was a little iffy. Not discriminatory to anyone, not an inappropriate picture or anything. The kind of thing that SHOULD have led to a discussion to change his opinion. And that's what the some other YouTubers and I did, we talked to him, and he regretted his words and changed his mind. Just like that. So fucking easy.
He wanted to write an apology and tell everyone he understood the issue now, but he was struggling to. His account was reported and suspended over and over. In the end, he did manage to write that apology on X and tell people he changed his opinion. That kind of thing can happen when we act patiently and try to guide people! But before then, other people were DMing him madly on Discord and X to say horrible shit, show gore, tell him to die. People were photoshopping a convicted criminal's face onto his profile pic. Friends severed ties without even talking to him. People doxxed him and someone left him a threatening phone call.
These people probably loved the excuse to do it. They would happily slap a label on someone then act dramatic about it. They pile on the hate because "that creator deserves it", they think.
How can you do any of the above and think you are a good person??
What on Earth happened to giving people the benefit of the doubt? Out of all the ways a statement could be interpreted, why do people choose the most negative instead of the most positive? When drama hits and your friend is involved, how can you leave without at least hearing the other side of the story? How can you forget that you may be harassing someone who has mental health or is neurodivergent?
It's like people love being mad. They want to put a bad label on someone, like some kind of "_ist", "_phobe", or a "p*do". They don't need much evidence before attacking. Here on Tumblr a while back, some people very eagerly wanted to harass me. They called me transphobic. The reality they didn't care to find out: I am trans, I make trans activist videos, I go on the front lines countering anti-trans protests in Canada while getting screamed at by conservatives for hours. Get real. If you are so quick to hate someone and label them, you were probably just eager to misinterpret anything they said to get a chance to be angry. You don't know them and you are not a sensible, fair person. They act like a pack of wolves if they can tell themselves it's justified. It is NOT justified. They should be ashamed. They are just bullies hiding behind a hero’s mask.

This antiblack campaign the fandom just tried to kick up again (to avoid talking about the real issue with Nalyra) reveals how powerless they're starting to truly feel now.
They don't have many users left to vilify so they're putting people on blocklists who are brand new (I was here 3 days lol) or not even really in the fandom. That looks goofy and desperate but then it keeps going. DMing strangers to say "the truth" isn't about racism and "talk to me if you really want to know about anything." Everyone's reblogging those blocklist posts now and adding large commentary suddenly, when before they often fully sat it out. They're doing this in a group to look like they have larger numbers and are "revealing" there's a "big secret bullying problem"....except nobody believes them. Because there's plenty of accounts who are out here saying this shit straight to their faces and they pretend we all don't exist. All of this group has to manufacture drama solely because they just don't want to talk about harmful shit they actually do.
Neil has to make an antiblack statement she made suddenly be about antisemitism towards her, Nalyra's antiblackness is "actually" fans upset about shipping and "what's REALLY coming" in S2, showmey0urfangs is always happy to show up with her dumb screencaps and villain monologue nobody asked for so she can make her everlasting outrage about popular black fics and "feminized" Louis sound deeper than it is, Virginia suddenly cries about IRL issues and wants to leave the fandom because she wants to distract from the Nalyra receipts, Keybearer accused another black fan of trolling people and getting accounts suspended on twitter in 2023 when a Marius fan eventually confessed to it and his eternal shame for that means now every black fan except him is a bully (despite nobody talking about this ever anymore except him), chicalepidopterare mocks a black fan for blocking her "because I thought we were supposed to talk about racism" and then poorly tries to frame any retaliation against her to look like bullying ("see, they're misogynistic, they're bullying my art, they're mean for disliking these ships!").
To quote Claudia here, "You must think me an idiot." And the big cherry on top is also how none of these losers can stand to hear any mention of race....in the fandom of the show that nonstop talks about race. They're using very basic (and meant in a gentle, loving way) teasing of Jacob as proof that black fans are racist against Jacob too, black fans hate Jacob's white wife. People hate Lestat for being white too (what?). They can write crap meta all day about Lestat letting Louis "rape" him and only white victims (Lestat) being real victims to the evil black and brown "true" manipulators (Claudia, Louis, Armand) but gentle teasing from black fans about Jacob's haircut is the real racism. Okay lol. Care to tell us again why you think Delainey's Claudia looks "less innocent" now then? This 3D chess you think you're playing isn't playing how you think for anyone else.
I also notice that afaik there's not a single black American in this group. Idek if there's many Americans of any kind in the group. It's been a lot of shaming to black Americans specifically though, again from the show that's focused on black Americans....by people who aren't black Americans.
"There's people pretending to be black so it's okay to keep hating this whole group." It's not enough you already nonstop shit on black fans as it is, now you have to try to angle it as if none of this could be authentic in the first place. Vile behavior. For what? Tumblr isn't even a platform that pays you for whatever clout you have, so really what is the point here. In a small ass fandom on top of it. Some of you have pretty grown kids too, this is extra sad. It makes all the jumping through hoops to coddle Lestat's behavior make sense though, if you're the same kind of person yourself. Anyway, maybe you don't actually know everything because race exists in the real world beyond how Anne Rice wrote about it in her useless books! You make books written by a racist white woman your whole personality and guess what your outlook on life is going to be.
It's been really pathetic to especially watch any fans of color move more to this extreme bullying side as time has gone on. It will never pay off to promote white fandom ideals. These accounts you're trying to cuddle up to aren't even that big. The fandom outside of the tags actually has much more popular posts, supporters, and fics...although that's also half of what this all is actually about, fic numbers. Again, these are grown adults obsessing over this. We could have a whole different fandom if this group didn't exist and keep wanting to gatekeep everything and be the only people who get praise about anything.
It's no surprise that people who worship Anne Rice have major ego problems themselves. It's been fucked up to deal with but the good thing now is that big egos have big collapses eventually and that's what we're starting to see happening now. People are sick of you and able to see through your basic ass manipulation techniques. People just want to have a fandom, they're not here to worship fans who want to be dictators. Nobody is here for your fragility, losers.

The mission to track down (most of) the locations in Ai Nan Desu Yo!
Firstly, I want to thank @archivalofsins /Gunsli-01, this whole thing started because of us DMing, wondering if we could use the background images in Mahiru's first MV to guess which university she went to, that started this whole adventure. By the end of this saga, the process truly was a collaboration too and i would've given up much sooner (sorry for taking so long to write this up!)
Tumblr media
It started here. The caption says Mahiru is sat on the 大学のテラス (University terrace). So we figured this was the best shot to find her uni. Gunsli tried reverse image search but it just kept throwing milgram back at us. So I got an idea:
Tumblr media
The magic of photo editing! it worked too and I got this back:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That's right! This isn't a university but a pizza place! Specifically one called 800 ディグリーズ ナポリタン ピッツェリア (800 degrees Neapolitan pizzeria) It is right next to two universities however:
Tumblr media
Of these two, I speculate Aoyama Gakuin University is more likely to be Mahiru's as they have a large humanities department and an option to take Chinese language classes (interestingly, it is also a Very Christian university and we know from question 19 of Mahiru's trial 1 interrogation, she believes people go to Heaven when they die. There is also a lot of focus on international students and the campus nearest the pizza resturant has a 'statue of Love' in the Majima Archives building)
Tumblr media
Inspired by this fruitful discovery I decided to try my method on other photos:
Tumblr media
I jumped all the way over to day 13 because I felt like the sign would aid in my search. Before I bothered with any photo editing I just did some google searches "Tokyo Marun-" I got the autofill result 'Tokyo Marunouchi hotel' after investigating it wasn't the right place but we had a location name "Marunouchi" Trying again I typed "Tokyo Marunouchi Street" Autofill gave me "Marunouchi Street Park": Bingo!
Tumblr media
This must be some kind of iconic sign because there were a ton of results for it. The bad news is that the sign was portable and only placed out for special events. So I introduce the next weapon in my arsenal: Google Streetview With a street to work with I walked up and down Morunouchi Naka-doori avenue until I got to a building with similar square pillars to the one behind Mahiru
Tumblr media
This place is the MyPlaza, it's got a couple different shops, but importantly there is a function room you can rent out for events just like the wedding reception Mahiru attended here. This one turns out to be further away than some of the other discoveries but it makes sense because Mahiru is travelling to an event, not on a date.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Back to photo editing! This is one of two shrines I'll identify, they become important as they get special icons on google maps, becoming landmarks to search around later.
Tumblr media
This is the Meiji Jingu Shrine
I was on a roll so quickly moved to day 14, however, my editing trick wouldn't work here so it would only be later that I uncovered the location of the park
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Searching for day 11 was much more fruitful
Tumblr media
I was really excited to track this one as Mahiru mentions it being the filming location for her favourite movie. So I thought if we could discover that, then we may unlock more clues about her as a person
Tumblr media
I got about this far before realising I could try a different tactic. If this was a well known spot, surely in my broken Japanese I could google it right? So with a little help of my dictionary I spat out "Tokyo red hand railing movie". Somehow this barely worked
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The movie? Your Name
Tumblr media
At this point I was rolling on the floor laughing because I had been expecting some Japanese cult classic romance movie or a domestically popular but internationally obscure rom com meanwhile Your Name was a massive box office smash hit in many places. One of the few anime movies that even non-anime fans will be aware of.
Despite this, I hadn't actually seen it myself and wasn't really in the mood to watch it (I had more locations to track down, dammit) but fortunately Gunsli came in clutch, having previously seen the movie and also in the mood to rewatch it for clues about Mahiru.
These stairs are actually at a place called Suga Shrine, making this our second landmark. (Fun fact: if you look it up you'll find pictures of movie fans recreating photos of the place)
Tumblr media
We were starting to build up an idea of Where Mahiru's world was, the border between Shibuya and Shinjuku ward. There were several parks in the area, so I figured I'd set out to find the day 14 park location by searching through each one. I was worried this would take a while but when I started with the biggest park, Yoyogi, I basically hit jackpot right away. Immediately upon seaching it, google recommended me results for images of the park at night. It turns out that Yoyogi had a large area used for concerts (that also may have been used for movie nights). By chance, I found this image from the park at night
Tumblr media Tumblr media
which looks awfully similar to the lamp/benches seen in the background of day 14... According to Gunsli, the nearby yoyogi station is featured in an important scene in Your Name, so that's another thing pointing towards them being in this park. It's not solid evidence but we'll come back to this later.
At this point I'm both hyped up and bored, so to amuse myself and just to see if I can, I decide to search for the place Mahiru's boyfriend is working at in day 8
Tumblr media
At first I had written it off as pointless to even try searching, but Gunsli noticed that in the top left corner you can see a hint of the store's sign. It is the same colours as a Seven Eleven (a chain that exists both in the US and Japan) This greatly narrowed down my search, as it ruled out the many Family Marts and Lawsons in the area (I cannot stress how many convenience stores there are in Tokyo) Unfortunately, there were still many 7/11s to search through and thus leads to the several hours I spent on google maps, individually going to each 7/11 in Shibuya and trying to look for those bike racks, floor tiles and old security camera. It was demoralising. But when hope was nearly lost and I almost gave up (there was a heat wave outside so my brain was melting during this). Gunsli reminded me of something very important. On day 8 we get two images, the above of Mahiru waiting outside the 7/11, and one of her sat on a park bench. If we were right about the day 14 park being Yoyogi, then surely our 7/11 would be in walking distance? The search began again. The third 7/11 I found near the park was it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In one fell swoop I had confirmed both day 8 and 14. In celebration I made a tumblr post
Now, at this point I'm running out of images to search for because a lot of the locations in Ainan are indoors, meaning they could be taken from a studio or even one of the milgram crew's homes (which isn't actually uncommon) and thus, not a relavent location. I did half heartedly attempt to look for the day 9 bar, but as you can imagine, without any external landmarks it was even more of a goose chase than the 7/11...
The last location I decided to look for was all the way back in day 5
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This edit was pretty tough to make so i was very annoyed when it didn't work. By this time it was late at night, but Gunsli had a hunch that this would be a well known running route, so started looking for those. By the time I'd woken up, she got it down to a route called the Imperial Palace Running Route, which is very popular (especially with tourists, it is recommended to give it a go if you're in the area)
I found it on streetview by following road signs seen in a video of someone running the route Gunsli found (the part in Mahiru's video appears at about 1:35)
youtube
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's an area called Takebashi and here is a screenshot both of what we saw in ainan, as well as what Mahiru would've seen in the direction she ran (the route loops back on itself)
Ok I'm tired it's 1 am, finally here's a really rough map of everywhere in relation to each other
Tumblr media
An interesting thread throughout is that many of these places are sort of tourist-y, suggesting Mahiru's boyfriend may not be from Tokyo either. The university (assuming I'm guessing the right place) taking in lots of international students and Mahiru's boyfriend working at a 7/11 (which Japanese people can do but is also Stereotypically the part time job of choice for people from outside Japan while studying) could perhaps even hint to him not being Japanese, but it's all speculation right now
I hope you enjoyed this long rambly mess, I'm so sorry it took me so long to write it all up....

WIBTA if I posted my art from a zine early?
I (23nb) joined a zine for a semi obscure 2000s manga/anime as a page artist with two of my friends. I enjoy this media but I don't really consider myself in the fandom, I only joined because one of my aforementioned friends is a huge fan of it and the other friend is also a casual enjoyer and we thought it would be fun if we all did a zine together.
However.
Most zines have a timeline of around 9-10 months from beginning to publishing but this one's been in production for almost 2 years. I've been in a few zines and this one has the worst organization I've ever seen in any project. The timeline on the discord only covered the first 5 months and had no estimate for how long the production would be, but a year and a half for publishing is pretty unheard of. The only check-in for progress that I remember didn't even require sending in your piece, you just had to say if you were finished or not and only a handful of the 30ish people on the discord responded lmao. Both of my friends ghosted at this point and the Singular mod (there might be two mods. I can't really tell) didn't dm them to see if they still wanted to participate or anything. Since there is only one person doing everything me and a few others have asked if they need any help and every time the mod(s) say that they're fine. every month or two someone will ask how the production is going and the mod will answer, and then another month goes by and the cycle repeats. I think the zine has finally gone into its “preorder interest check” stage (so not the actual preorder) but judging by how long everything takes i estimate that it'll be another 2 months at least before it actually goes into preorder. Its also never been clear if this is a free zine or if the sales will be donated to charity or distributed among the contributors. Since there's Allegedly going to be a physical copy it's gotta at least use the sales money to pay for production and shipping costs, but I have no idea if I'll be compensated with a physical copy or any money, especially if I do the thing that I might be TA for.
So here's my actual question. WIBTA if I posted the art I made for the zine before the mod says it's ok to do so? A big part of zine etiquette is that you do not post the final piece until the zine is finished, and the repercussions for someone who does range from a mod dming them to take it down or being kicked out of the zine entirely or in the absolute worst case, called out and blacklisted in the fandom and zine circles (I don't think anything that serious will happen to me but I have anxiety so I'm always imagining the worst thing) Most of the people on Tumblr in this fandom are kind of annoying fandom mom millennial types so I don't really want to deal with any possible backlash from them lol. If I just posted my art on Instagram idk if any of them would see it, but they Definitely would if I posted on Tumblr since the zine originated on there and it's such a small tag. I'm also so frustrated with the experience I kind of want to write something cunty in the description about how it's a zine piece for a zine that probably will never come out but I know that's just being petty and would probably invite drama. Also since I drew this thing a year and a half ago it's a little busted looking so I might redraw parts of it, so posting it would still be kinda shitty but it would technically be a different piece from the original one I submitted to the zine.
What are these acronyms?

brothers and/or dateables w/ a ride or die s/c
walmart at 2 am? down. declared the sky is purple? ofc it is what other color could it possibly be man. hit and run? got the Clorox wipes and mechanic on standby
aaaaaa I'm so sorry for the radio silence! Last week was very chaotic lol. This coming week (3/13-3/17) is spring break for me, but I'm working 40 hours so idk how much I'll be active :((.
I had fun writing such a light hearted request, thank u bb.
The Brothers With a Ride or Die MC GN! MC Content Warnings: Mentions of doxing in Levi's, mentions of a creep DMing in Asmo's
Lucifer
Lucifer would be so stressed because of a ride or die MC lol. You're giving him even more grey hairs than he needs. He does appreciate all that you do for him, he just wishes you'd take it down a notch.
He could easily tell his brothers to do something like go get dish soap because it's almost out, but you're already out the door with like four different soap brands on the list.
It gives him an extra reason to spoil you though
Mammon
It's basically a ride or die x ride or die in all honesty. A competition to see who can be the most ride or die, if you will.
He forgets to do a project for class until the night before? You're there helping him. You forget a textbook back at the HoL? Don't worry, he's sprinting back to go get it for you.
He accidentally breaks something? You're getting rid of the evidence and already have a duplicate on stand by (how you do it, Mammon will never know).
Leviathan
I feel that Levi would be more of the ride or die in this relationship, but for the sake of the request, you are. Is he in the middle of a gaming marathon? You keep a supply of water and snacks for him. You make sure he actually eats a full meal, too.
He talks about a new multiplayer game? You buy a copy for yourself to practice playing so you can keep up with him.
He want's to dox someone who dissed Ruri-chan? You're already digging for clues
Satan
Satan mentions a new spell book he found? You're the first to volunteer to be a guinea pig for some of the spells. He appreciates the sentiment, but he'd rather not test questionable spells on is lover
He mentions that he needs to organize his books? You're pulling out a pen and paper to create organization categories and schematics (it'll probably go Year, Subject, Author's last name or something similar).
He'll make you tea as a thank you, but he doesn't notice he used a tea that you snuck into his stash as a surprise.
Asmodeus
Another ride or die x ride or die. This time, instead of trying to out do one another, y'all just feed off of eachother's energy.
You're Asmo's hype person. He'll take you shopping with him and try on outfits. You're there with a camera practically like the paparazzi, taking pictures from all angles for every outfit he tries. He does the same for you. There's a 9/10 chance the two of you will leave with matching outfits.
Asmo mentions that some creep is bothering him on Devilgram? You're finding the fucker and giving that demon some very concerning threats.
Beelzebub
We all know how Beel gets with is food. If he texts you that he's hungry, you're on standby with his favorite snacks. Even during class, you'll leave to do a quick drop off for him
Midnight muchies? Take him to the nearest fast food joint and get him two of everything. He appreciates your eagerness to please, but he worries about your spending habits because of him (sweet boy)
He'll share his food with you as a thank you and offer to pay you back for the money you've spent on him. If you tell him that you don't mind, he'll find a way to repay you.
Belphegor
You're able to pick up on some of his smallest ques and you know what to do to help out. He really does appreciate how you're able to pick up on when his social battery is low and get him out of the situation.
He's notorious for skipping class even though he somehow miraculously passes his classes. Still, you bring him your notes and even send him an audio recording of the lectures you share together, even though it takes up so much space on your DDD.
If you notice he has fallen asleep somewhere that isn't his room or your room, you carry a blanket just for him. You drape it over him as he sleeps and just vibe next to him until he wakes up.

Letters To Munson
Tumblr media
Synopsis: During the fresh years of high school, you pinned for your best friend. Years later, he finds out in the most...unconventional ways.
Word count: 1.4k
Dear Eddie,
The longer I stare at this letter, the more I’m starting to hate myself for even writing it. This isn’t a 70s romcom, I can’t expect you to read these one day–I actually hope you don’t. But, this is the best outlet for now.
I’m just going to write it down so I can get it off my chest.
I love you.
That felt weird to write. I love you should be saved for family, for someone who actually loves you back. I can’t help but think you wouldn’t. Sure that could be me fearing for my heart, but I’m not going to go into that territory.
Hopefully this will be the only letter I ever write and I can forget this ever happened.
Dear Eddie,
It’s not the last letter, because of course it isn’t. Why would it be?
Being in today’s campaign was fun. Actually fun. I couldn’t help but laugh when you looked at me funny for some of the questions I asked. Hey, I’ve never really played before cut me some slack. And tell Gareth and Jeff to shove it up their asses, my character was cool.
After the campaign was over, and you drove me home, I found myself getting more nervous. Why?
Because you kept smiling at me.
Your smile does something to me.
Stop that.
Dear Eddie,
It’s starting to frustrate me.  Some would argue it’s creepy, which I can see why and now I’m starting to feel creepy.
Am I creepy?
Personally, I want to say the opposite.
I’m really just someone who’s in love with their best friend…and they can’t admit it.
Well, I did just admit it but
Why can’t I ever say it to you? Why do I always freeze up whenever you look at me?
Dear Eddie,
Holy shit I’m stupid.
I’m starting to stutter when I talk to you now. STUTTER! What am I, a middle schooler?
God, this is so embarrassing.
It doesn’t help I have nowhere to put these and my mom keeps almost finding them. I might as well buy myself a diary, at least then I can tape it shut.
Dear Eddie,
I really want to say this is the last letter I’ll ever write, and then I can finally throw these away and forget about this weird love letter phase.
I can’t. I tried. I tried so hard yesterday to not write one, but it’s hard keeping this secret in, you know? Hell, maybe it’s not even a secret anymore.
Thinking about it is so easy. In my mind, I can yell out anything with no consequences and I can forget about what I even said later on.
I can’t do that in person.
Dear Eddie,
I love you.
You found the letters while cleaning out your closet. The box containing them was made of wood, a broken lock on the front. You remembered buying it at a thrift store, hoping it would be enough to hide the letters from reality. It made you laugh, if anything.
Freshman year, you grabbed a pen in anger and started to write your feelings down. The trend continued until senior year, when you had given up letter writing. The last letter you wrote was a small one, telling him goodbye. You weren’t really saying goodbye to him, perse, but you were saying goodbye to holding yourself back.
Eddie still never found these, and you were grateful he hadn’t.
A loud knocking sound could be heard from downstairs, and you knew it was Eddie. You agreed to go to another Hellfire club meeting, and he was ecstatic about it. A one shot that Dustin titled ‘The Great Dungeon of Terror’. It was Dustin’s first time dming for the club, and Eddie wanted someone else to witness it. You couldn’t say no to Eddie’s smile, after all.
Before answering the door, you looked at the box in your hands, letters peeking out from the corners. Maybe it was time for you to finally toss them out.
Opening your front door, Eddie greeted you with a smirk. "Are you ready for the grand excursion given to us by Dustin Henderson?" He asked, putting on a voice.
Rolling your eyes, you nodded. "Yes sir, Captain Munson."
Eddie’s smirk grew wider, obviously appreciating the fact you played along. His eyes trailed down to the box in your hands, bobbing his head with curiosity. "What's that?"
You shrugged. "Oh this? Uh, a box of letters I want to get rid of."
"Letters? For who?"
He watched as you opened the box and threw out the contents in your trash can. "For the guy I liked in high school."
Eddie's expression deflated. "Ah, was it Carver?"
"Ew, no, what?" You scrunched your nose. "He's a prick and always will be."
Eddie looked satisfied. "Good answer." He patted your shoulder.
The campaign went smoothly. Dustin had given everyone a challenge, a dragon with 5 heads–a bit cheesy and predictable in your opinion but you didn't say anything. He looked so proud of his creation, it would've killed his mood. Unfortunately, Mike's knight killed it with a critical move. Dustin slumped in defeat after that, but he became determined to overthrow Mike in the next game.
Eddie offered to drop you off after he did so with the kids. You agreed. A bit more time to spend with him.
You were a bit disappointed the night went by so quickly.
"The kid's got potential," Eddie told you, his van jerking to the side. You were used to his maniacal prowess behind the wheel. "But he needs a bit more creativity. A 6 headed dragon? Really?"
"Dragons are a classic," you commented, "He was probably starting slow. You're telling me you started out with something big and drastic for your first campaign?"
"Yeah," Eddie nodded. "Demogorgon right on the spot. Boom."
"I think that's just your style: Explosive."
"And that's why we play DND! For the explosions, for an outlet."
"You're just mad Dustin nearly killed your character," you taunted. You heard Eddie scoff.
"He did not nearly kill my character, that was a fluke."
"Uh huh,"
"Don't look at me like that."
You snorted. Banter between you two was always a joy.
"Seriously though, I'm glad you came." Eddie said, sweetly. His voice vibrated in your ears, and your face became warm.
"It's no biggie," you mumbled, "You guys are fun to be around. I'd rather be in a Hellfire Club meeting than a basketball game."
"Ever thought about joining our little group? Always accepting new members," Eddie offered. "Though even if we weren't I'd find a space for ya."
"I've really been thinking about it," you responded, Eddie's eyes lit up.
"Yes!" He hit his steering wheel with joy.
After Eddie parked his van into your driveway, he asked. "Who were those letters for by the way?"
You blinked at him. "You mean the letters I dumped out?"
"Mhm."
It took everything in you to prevent his name from slipping. You bit your lips. "Someone I knew and liked."
"Ah, yes, that narrows it down."
"Just drop it, okay?" You laughed nervously, "Why do you want to know so bad? The last letter I wrote was 2 years ago."
"'Dear Eddie,'" you heard him say. Your heart dropped.
(I can't expect you to read these one day–I actually hope you don't.)
"Wait–" you faced him, crumpled paper in his hands, "Eddie don't–" you reached for the paper but he lifted it from your reach. You hated the fact he was taller, even if it was only by an inch. You gave up, placing your face in your hands.
"How long have you had that?"
Eddie chuckled. "You dropped one as you were dumping them in the trash can. I wasn't going to read it, I swear, I just…saw my name on the top. Usually you read something when you see your name, yeah?"
Your mind went haywire as you tried to figure out which letter he was reading. There were so many possibilities, the most embarrassing ones were at the top of the pile.
What made the situation worse was how desperate the letters sounded. Especially freshman year, when you were just figuring out the weird feelings in your chest, and why you felt so clammed up when he walked beside you.
"You figured out the mystery then," you said, voice small, exposed.
"...not entirely." Eddie stated, "There's one more clue I need to know."
"That would be…?" You inquired, your heart was pounding.
"Do you still feel that way?"
"And if I said yes–" You glanced at him, he was still scanning over the letter, as if he couldn't believe it was real.
Eddie locked his eyes with your own, his smile soft. "I'd kiss you."

This is so self-indulgent I should be shot just for thinking it. Anyways, have some teacher! reader x graduated! Eddie headcanons. Warnings for language and some sexual content.
Eddie's not so busy at his new mechanic job that he can't stop by Hellfire on some week nights to haze Mike on his DMing skills and tell a bunch of dirty jokes.
He's still in his coveralls—sleeves tied around his waist and his white shirt beneath stained with grease—dropping a pack of Mountain Dew on the table and slapping Dustin on the back.
The boys, of course, are happy to see him, but whatever greetings they offer are cut off as soon as they see the deep purple bruises sucked into the column of his throat.
Then there's screaming.
The campaign is put on immediate pause. All their energy is directed into demanding Eddie tell them who the fuck did that.
He grins, cheeky in a way that just screams this was the outcome he hoped for, waiting for them all to quiet down before he lets the words slipped out his curved lips.
"Oh those? My girlfriend gave them to me."
Que more screaming.
There's accusations of bullshit. And cries of betrayal (mostly from Dustin) for keeping it a secret. And, louder than all of that, demands to know who she is.
Eddie sits back in one of the chairs, head pillowed in his hands as they sling rapid-fire guesses at him.
That bartender you told us about? The girl at the record store? Or that one scooping ice cream when you took us to the movies? She was giving you eyes. (She was? Eddie blurts out, forgetting for a moment to act cool.)
He collects himself just long enough to drop a real bomb on them.
"Nah, it's none of them," he grins, "you know her."
Total fucking devastation.
The boys are faced with their greatest mystery yet: who is fucking Eddie the freak Munson?
Nobody can pay attention in class at a time like this; they pass notes between the spaces beneath their desks.
It shouldn't be that hard. They don't know that many girls.
Do you think it's nancy? Dustin scratches into the paper.
Lucas stifles a laugh before passing it to Mike. He makes a face.
Neither of the other boys have to read to know he's writing the word gross.
Lucas writes down maybe it's your mom, mike before showing Dustin over his shoulder. He fakes a coughing fit to cover his laughter.
Mike tosses the paper to the floor, punching Lucas on the arm instead of writing out a response.
Your eyes catch on the movement as you turn back from the board, voice strict when you let out a surprised "Mr. Wheeler."
Mike mumbles an apology, ducking his head to hide his blush. He's still uncomfortable with having eyes on him.
With their heads pointed down towards their notes, they're all to busy to notice that Hawkins High's newest faculty member is wearing a turtleneck on a day that's just a little too warm for a sweater.
When Eddie's head pops in the classroom door, though, Dustin's the first to connect the dots.
"Sorry," he smiles, holding out a brown sack lunch, "you forgot this morning."
Holy. Fucking. God.
The whole class breaks out in whispers.
Or almost the whole class.
Dustin, Lucas and Mike still have their jaws on the floor.
You take the lunch, roll your eyes. Eddie blows you a kiss from the door.
You're not at all the type of person he thought he'd fall for.
Mrs. O'Donnell retired at the beginning of the summer, right after he graduated.
(He's only about 70% sure that it wasn't his fault)
Whatever. It brought you here to Hawkins.
And Eddie loves being your boyfriend.
He wakes up in the mornings with you—even though he doesn't have to be to the garage for another few hours—just to watch you get ready and make you coffee just the way you like for your thermos.
He's also the reason you're late to work so often 👀
Eddie can't get e-fucking-nough of your little teacher outfits
He's obsessed with every pair of sheer tights and tight little pencil skirts and the buttons on your tops.
All of your stockings have snags in them from his rings >:(
He sits you on the tabletop the second you get home so he can pet his hands over your thighs and under your hemlines.
That's if he waits until you get home.
Grading late? Eddie will keep you company.
. . . or make out with you on your desk.
He shows up on your prep period sometimes, offering a smile and a "just missed you, baby."
And it always ends with you pinned up against the chalkboard.
You gotta buy more turtlenecks because he cannot keep his hands or his mouth off you.
You'd never make fun of him for repeating his senior year twice.
And hearing you say something like "you're so smart, Eddie"…….
praise kink activated
It just means a lot coming from you, you know? He's not getting a ton of validation, and you've got to know what you're talking about, since you're a teacher and all.
He'll call you teach when he wants to tease you.
Knocks on the wall by your door before Hellfire.
"Hope my kids aren't giving you any trouble, teach."
The boys do not know how to handle this.
Not like they'd even think of being dicks in your class, but still, Eddie can be a little scary sometimes.
So they're on their best behavior.
It's still kind of weird, though.
But not for Eddie.
Because '86 was his fuckin' year.

yves, if only theoretically wanted to break into publishing or lit mags, do you have recommendations or advice?
My primary advice is to get to know as many writers as you can, as well as you can, quickly. I’ve recommended joining Discord servers for this in the past and will do so again; the most active ones I’m in are Max's @goose-books server (I think you have to ask for an invite?), WTW, and writeblr garden. Participate in book events virtually and in person when you can. When you like someone's work, tell them! And mention that you're an author, too.
Disclaimer: I haven't made it into any paid magazines, largely because I find submitting and waiting for months at a time before working on edits exhausting, particularly in comparison to instant money on Patreon—so have that grain of salt at the ready! All I've done is publish the one book, twice, and release a substantial amount of short fiction on my own. People read it and liked it, and now I have lovely anons like you who seem to respect me enough to ask for industry advice. Thank you! Hope you like long posts.
The reason I say the above is that, in my experience, the entirety of publishing is just one big who-do-you-know. Utterly non-exhaustive list of ways "knowing people" has helped me in my writing career below.
I left a middling review on a trans author's book, and in the correspondence that followed we became friends. Rysz Merey went on to start tRaum Books, and because we were friends, we put out the Something's Not Right anniversary edition together.
When I was at my university, I was loudly opinionated about books and writing and art in all of my classes, and a professor's words about me in an email to an author they knew became the blurb for that same edition of Something's Not Right.
I read Tragic Accident (a flash piece originally rejected by an online magazine for, in my opinion, cisgender reasons) last night at Flash Fiction Forum, the heads of which I know personally because, after a high school internship, I was directed to a friend of theirs to volunteer at her writing camp. I sold a lot of copies of the original SNR to teens at that camp, and I've sold dozens of copies since by linking to the book in the Zoom chat and bringing physical copies to in-person readings.
Tragic Accident may have ultimately been rejected from the venue I sent it to, but I only had that venue on my list because my beloved friend Fer @asablehart posted in WTW a spreadsheet of places to submit. I still use that spreadsheet, filled with dozens of extra places I researched on my own, and pass it on to anyone who asks. Fer also read The Traveler Wife and gave extremely insightful feedback on it; we've since done tons of great critique4critiques together and they're still my go-to if I need wise words on a piece of writing.
When I held my event at Bookshop Santa Cruz, I marketed my ass off. I'd learned from my previous event at the Diversity Center in town and focused heavily on reaching out to individual people: posting in Discord servers, DMing everyone I knew, and telling everybody I met in December that by the way I would be reading at Bookshop Santa Cruz in January. I worked my job as an author and my book and my event into every conversation I had with a stranger that month. Everyone responded positively! People want to know what you're working on.
But at the end of the day, under a third of attendees were people I hadn't previously considered friends in some way. The majority of the people who came were family, friends, coworkers, friends-of-friends dragged along by someone I knew well, etc. One coworker couldn't come but invited their housemates, who bought books and left saying they would read Band Girls at home. One of the friends who came met me when we would ride the same bus every week to class, and I initially spoke to him because I fully thought he was a transgender woman (he turned out to just be an extremely fashionable individual). That guy helped code my website. Of the three people who interviewed me locally for promotion, two are people I'm friends with and one I cold-emailed due to his past work.
One of the major servers I used to invite people to both of my events is one I was only added to because I met a goth girl who invited me to her dorm to watch her inject E into her thigh and when I reported back on this to another transfem friend that friend instantly named her because they were in the server together and multiple people in it knew me from my creative writing efforts so everybody agreed to add me. I literally only had that space to network because I said "nice boots" to a girl whose special interest turned out to be DIY HRT at a protest party about the chancellor getting a raise.
Claire Oshetsky came to my event and I made a point of finally starting to read their book beforehand so I could honestly tell them it was cool when I signed their copy of Something's Not Right (it was cool, and everyone should read Chouette, and also Poor Deer, which I am on page 10 on and can already certify is fantastic). They were incredibly nice to me for no reason—well, because of those interviews I had, which led to them noticing another nonbinary author in the area—and ultimately reviewed SNR very positively on GoodReads. You can see what happened to the numbers afterwards. (I also sold a copy that day; when you sell roughly a copy of a book per week, you can absolutely make these connections directly.)
Tonight was Claire Oshetsky's event, so I showed up having read Chouette in full and asked a question during the Q&A and told them how cool their book was, and they invited me to a little post-event author dinner. (One of the authors introduced herself as "Karen" and described a prolific writing career very opaquely until her friend mentioned the name of her latest novel: Booth.) Everyone was incredibly nice and wanted to buy my book which was unfortunately sold out because of the aforementioned event, and a couple of people gave me email addresses so they could buy it later. I've been trying to meet local authors for over a year, and I met seven by accident because one of them came up to me to say it was nice to see Bookshop Santa Cruz had two nonbinary readers in a row.
Talking to David Sedaris at an event got me a job! He complimented my outfit, I said thank you I wore it for the interview with [x], and he did everything he could to help me network with the [x] people there. I was later told that my "chemistry" with Sedaris, among other things, helped me get the position. I would also find out that David specifically loves the last people in the signing line because they're the most patient; I happened to have waited until last because I wanted to have more time to talk to him.
I have emailed several authors with fanmail, and depending on how popular they are, I have gotten responses! I'm in a correspondence right now which netted me a behind-the-scenes look at an incredible draft, and thank you for reminding me because I need to respond and tell them how good it was.
Patreon is on pause right now, but I believe over half the subscribers are people I'm friends with in one way or another. I've tried nearly everything under the sun to advertise, and so far the only thing that's worked is "telling someone who has the disposable income."
The people who beta-read my latest release, Band Girls (18+), for me (which is the only reason it wasn't an unmitigated disaster) include my butch, who met me in a Locked Tomb server (naturally), a friend from a creative writing class in university who later became my housemate, and a good buddy of my butch's whom they rescued from the aforementioned TLT server. I literally didn't even notice that guy when we were in the server together and it turns out he's also a writer with a Giant Lesbian Women project who also wound up really liking Long Line (18+). Glories are all around you.
(Also, apparently my butch had that "how to write a blurb" post bookmarked and immediately recognized me, which is crazy. Imagine meeting some random author in a fandom server and they ask to see your [redacted] in DMs.)
Hell, my buddy Max Franciscovich read my book five years ago in the back of a car and had a transcendental nonbinary lesbian experience, and because he happened to be mutuals with a high school friend of mine, that friend sent me screenshots of him panicking about how he couldn't talk to me because I was too cool. I DMed him, and we are like each other's female husbands now. Undoubtedly we have each gained a substantive reader base from hyping each other's work at anyone in earshot. Maxserver, which I shouted out above, only has me in it because I know the darn guy. It's a lot more populous than yvescord in part because he is that much more active than I am, and can engage with other people's work more. I'm mooching off the labor of my best friend who pseudo-reached-out to me because I put a pronoun pin on a character's bag in the book I self-published in 2018.
Speaking of which: I self-published the original edition of Something's Not Right as a thank-you birthday gift to the Beta Reader. I seem to remember him reading my writing for the first time and saying something along the lines of "You do realize this is really good, right?" (I did not realize.) That was the first person to appreciate any of my original fiction, and it led to my entire career. We met on a class trip because he was the only person who would listen to me talk about Star Wars.
Tumblr media
I try to never ingenuinely be nice to people. This is not particularly difficult, because I like people and give the benefit of the doubt to a pretty extreme fault. I will occasionally be nice out of politeness, but everyone I mentioned here is someone I genuinely like whose work is fantastic. It wasn't hard to honestly say I liked them and their writing.
I also recognize that much of this is kind of just me blathering about Ws with no actionable advice... but it might give you ideas for where to go or who to talk to about your writing. I also want you to feel just how much of writing is about "networking" in a way that is not cold and manipulative and moneyhungry but actually just involves being genuine friends with other people. I think the sheer quantity of evidence here is helpful to understand just how much you can do for yourself by talking to the people you like.
I also think it's good practice to own the fact that very little of my microcelebrity success has anything to do with how good my work is. I mean, sure, I think it's good, but this should make it clear that my greatest strength has been my perseverance and my friendliness.
(Also, obviously, I have the immense privilege to have gone to college, to live in California, to get to all these places and meet these people and work with them. I had the money in the bank to publish and promote a book. This is not a small factor. I'm hoping to do a full rundown of costs and efforts to promote Something's Not Right's anniversary edition sometime this year.)
I also don't think I'm particularly good at socializing—I have a knack for saying the wrong thing at the wrong time, a difficulty with meeting people's eyes, and a mild stutter when I talk too quickly (which is often). A lot of people find me annoying or insincere because I act like a sentient powder puff, and when I'm not jumping up and down and meowing at people instead of saying "on your right," I'm complaining about the most widely-beloved pieces of pop culture and making two-hour rant videos about video games I think insufficiently scrutinize the concept of the nuclear family. I say all this to head off any concerns that perhaps I am just secretly very suave and social; I love talking to people, but I don't believe this is the case.
If I can summarize: nearly every time I've had any success with my writing, it's been because I made an effort to be kind to people I respected and share my passion for books and writing. I hit upon enough privileges and lucky circumstances to get the right circle of people to make all of the above happen. I think you can do it, too! I wish you the best. Thanks for asking ^__^

Hello everyone so this is going to be a pretty big blog about the upcoming future of my life as a artist. So to try to shave off some time I will be copying and pasting the Twitter thread I made to here.
Startiiiing now:
“Hey everyone I got another update for you and it’s probably gonna sound like “she’s changing shit again” but I feel like a lot has been going on in my life and a lot of it is changing too and I think I discovered something about me and my artwork that I feel like is important.
The reason I started pumping out content before this new job I got was well after I lost my old caregiving job YouTube and commissions were my only source of income for the last 6 month and I honestly was making enough for bills at that point it was my family keeping me afloat.
So yeah, life was not kind to me and I got.. well extremely depressed. I kept applying and no one was accepted them the one job I wanted I did not get and I was lucky to just get by. My brain all the time for the past few months kept saying I was a failure Until I got lucky.
I just got done with shadowing and orientation and I’m now officially working at a job that yeah can be stressful but I fully enjoy. I’m feeling happy and I’m finally healing from this dark cloud that’s following me. And with this month coming to an end I realized something.
Growing up my art was the one thing that kept me happy it was my happiness from real life issues and it got me to meet the love of my life along with great people in online community’s. However, the more it became a stressor to live off my art… the less it made me happy.
Not to mention the reason I shared my art to begin with because even if it was cringe or my art was not the best in the past … I always loved to see people enjoy it. It killed me to ask people to give me money to draw for them. It’s just not me.
I allowed a online algorithm, and a few words from a small handful of people to make me second guess what I loved to do, I allowed money to make me decide what I should work on…I realized I secretly hated myself for it.
This new opportunity in my life is why I’m writing what I am today and it’s my own choices and it’s one I’m actually happy with.
Everything I draw will be free to view I’m going to build it up on Tapas and Tumblr just for the multiple image support plus they have better age restriction on there platforms because I’m a adult and do want to dabble in NSFW stuff.
The one animation I have on sale in my store I will be making it free to view. For the amazing person who did buy the pack I will be dming them so once my paycheck comes, they will be refunded.
And now for the big thing.
The next few months I will be saving my own money and working on Concept Art for the next few months along with working on comics because by next year I want to work and pay people to help me bring my comics to life as animated projects.
The first project will more then likely be Jackie’s Everyday Adventure because it has the least amount of characters and backgrounds and will dabble in the form of 3D animation. This will be a strictly animated series with some rewrites from the original comic version.
Homebrew… is honestly the biggest project since there is over 30 chapters and I’m not even halfway done writing scripts. I won’t Even considering working on animating that until at least chapter 10 is out.
Everything else will be explained over on Tumblr that will be where I blog about my projects since there’s not as tiny of a character limit on there. Thank you all for reading this and I will link the full update on Tumblr and I will share a link to it on here.”
And now here we are on Tumblr!
The only thing I will be keeping for any financial support will be Ko-fi but that’s only if people want to, I’m not going to have anything locked behind a pay wall.
Commissions will no longer be open because I will just be doing art trades or request. Since my new job is full time I don’t need to worry about the stress of not finishing something quickly.
Physical print books are still gonna be a thing however not for a long while. Since my old client liked my original books ill be printing a small handful of copies of them so I can give them to her to read at the nursing home. And leftover copies will be for contest prizes.
YouTube on the other hand… I’m going to be honest I’m not sure if I truly will bring back Pshattuckproductions. The most fun I have had with YouTube was building up lunar comics. I will honestly be focusing on that channel in terms of any uploads.
So far this is all for now. So see you soon everyone.

Alright so a combination of some of y’all’s posts and a chat with a colleague at a conference
I have finally watched my first Dimension 20 episode. And I LOVE it
I actively listen to / have completed somewhere around 30 audio dramas. NONE of those are actual play.
Which, when you consider that I’m technically a trained tt rpg designer, and have been roleplaying for over 15 years, is kind of baffling, right? It’s not like I haven’t tried them out. But historically, I either have no idea what’s going on, or it doesn’t somehow feel like a tt rpg to me.
Some of that’s probably play style. Brennan Lee Mulligan starts out with an opening episode that is SO like my style as a GM in your DND/Pathfinder system. With color, with backstory delving. And then proceeds to DM a game session that until the last like ten minutes has almost no “real” combat. It’s all about social stuff, puzzles. And these characters! They’re so well developed but they also feel like the kinds of characters I love to have at my table. Like the moments when they have poor judgment because it’s in character and also at the same time the player feels like it’s really funny & pulls them further into the game world. The way they have these personality archetypes — like Gorgug still trying to give Fabian the flower. Or Riz handing out his business cards. I died.
Idk. There was obviously backstory and archetype work that went on for possibly quite some time before the first session which is always how I run my games! And it’s not clear whether detention was always the goal, or if Brennan just decided that after the first two got detention. It almost feels like the latter. Which is SO good DMing in my book. Right? You have this group of characters, you have a clear opportunity to connect them later in the day, two of them go in a different direction and you go that’s even better actually! Let’s do that!
Actually the overall yes and style of the group leading to greater player agency and a more robust world…
Look. I’m sure actual plays are hard to develop and write. And I also have my own preferences in DND (combat-light games, heavy on backstory and character exploration, with limited DM fiat over the characters and somewhat over the world).
Also the way Brennan describes the various characters and situations. It just makes me feel like I’m DMing, it really does. The jokes, the vividness. The ridiculous details that are nonetheless so evocative. (Also his voice acting, all their voice acting really, is off the CHARTS.)
Anyways I’m having a blast and I’m so glad I finally found an actual play I vibe with bc I have really wanted to for a long time

Roleplay Rules!
Status: Semi-Open as of November 2nd, 2023
Feel free to DM me or ask any questions in my inbox! I can't guarantee that RPs will start right away, but we can definitely start setting things up.
In order to RP with me, you NEED to send me the hidden phrase in here so I know you actually read the rules. If not, I will not RP.
Literacy Style:
Literate to semi-literate. I like to write in multiple paragraphs, both with detail and somewhat dialogue heavy. If you’ve seen my writing, it’s a lot like that! I expect potential RP partners to follow in suit/match.
It seems as of late that I prefer literate with multiple paragraphs and details.
I’ve been RPing since I was like, 10. If I see *she smiles* it might summon rage 💀 /hj
Where We Can Talk:
Just starting off? Tumblr DMs! I won’t RP in the comment section of a post.
You can now ask for my Discord. It’s where I’m most active.
Slots:
Don’t really have a cap off but it becomes too much at once I will be sure to let you know.
Genres and Plots:
Almost anything and everything! However, towards strangers and people I’m generally unfamiliar with, SFW are going to be the topics I steer towards. Adventure, drama, horror etc. are all fine the first go around.
I’m pretty flexible on genres so like, hey don’t be afraid to suggest it.
NSFW, I like writing smut, I just need to like you as well lol. Not a slight on your behalf, but I will let you know whether smut is a possibility or not.
NSFW will only be done with other 18+ adults who have verified they are in fact, adults. I absolutely refuse NSFW to “ageless” accounts and minors.
Honestly I don’t want to RP with minors so if you’re a minor, don’t message me. Don’t do it. Thanks.
Pairings:
Gets a little odd here, I don’t actually ship anything, if that makes any sense? Like, canon character X canon character just isn’t in my repertoire unless they’re already an established couple or the franchise is heavily leaning them that way.
That said, I’m totally cool with self shipping and OCs X Canon characters. (If self ship, it has to go both ways. Sorry I’m a simp too 😔)
Platonic, familial, those work best though especially if I am unfamiliar with you as a person.
Honestly I’m not as veered towards romance unless you’re a good friend of mine.
Do:
When first DMing, send me memes to help break the ice! I’m pretty good about speaking to people, but I understand how awkward it can be
If you’re using an OC, please tell me all about your OC! If you have any reference pics etc, send them so I can describe them during the RP.
If you’re playing a canon character and you’ve changed anything about them that’s notable, feel free to mention their quirks, and the lore building you’ve done for them.
Tell me if it gets to be too much or if you wish to change directions. I want you to feel safe and have a free voice during the chat. If something doesn’t click, tell me.
Please talk to me about the RP plot before we start! That gives me a good direction on what bases to hit and which lines to not cross. Your boundaries are just as important as mine and I want to respect them.
Use brackets or some other notation to let me know you’re speaking out of character! I’m very prone to using []
Understand that you can leave for a while and don’t need to apologize. Genuinely, I know you’ll get back to me. If you don’t think you will or it’ll take longer than expected then let me know. I know people get busy, so it’s honestly no problem.
Don’t:
Do NOT ask to RP if you are a minor. I do not wish to RP with minors.
Send me unsolicited NSFW or a starter without any conversation prior to. It’s just kind of ???? On my end.
Do not godmod HEAVILY. I’m okay with like, “and he helped her up and watched as she walked over to the desk.” But fully godmodding is a no.
Send one liners. Self explanatory.
Wildly deviate from the plot in bizarre ways. Like, making things NSFW all of a sudden or cause angst when there was none. I hate saying “Mary Sue the RP” but do not Mary Sue the RP.
Please don’t be upset when I take a hot minute or two to respond. I’m a person that has a life outside of her phone and is actually prone to migraine if I look at screens for too long. I will always get back to the RP unless I say otherwise.
Be pushy for a character or a pairing I said no to.
Go too OOC for canon characters.
Ask for things like rape, beastiality, common DNI criteria.
I understand RP can be therapeutic but remember, I am not a therapist and the RP we have is not substitute for actual mental health help.
Fandoms:
SCP
Call of Duty
Darkwood
Assassin’s Creed
Grimm
Uncharted
My Little Pony (yeah goin' back to my roots)
My OCs (need to ask about those, there’s,,,, many and they’re all intricate.)
Other Things:
Please use third person, past or present tense. Usually past tense.
I feel it goes hand in hand with literate RP but use “speaking” for a dialogue and ‘thinking’ for thoughts.
Try not to rush anything! Let it happen naturally and it’ll all play out.
Don’t be afraid to talk to me outside of the RP either. Like, it’s a personal thing we’re probably going to become friends.
Some Examples of My RP Style:
Mind you, not all of these are going to be extremely long. Things tend to taper out.
All of these examples were lifted directly from one of my RPs.
November 2nd, 2023: I swear not all of my replies are going to be like this. I'm immensely more busy now.
This is a starter:
A young princess sat on the balcony of her mother’s grand palace. The stars of the night were absolutely gorgeous as her dark eyes peered upwards, tracing constellation upon constellation. There, she could see the proud statue of Amun and feel the loving gaze of the beautiful mother goddess, Hathor. Strings upon strings of stars hung in the sky and bathed the desert in a warm white and blue gold, illuminating the darkness so she could observe the night life of her people. At barely eighteen years old, the young princess had been coming to a very startling conclusion as she stared out at the houses amongst the dunes and the boats and their ferriers on the Nile: that one day, all of this would be hers. The thought scared her, as ruling over such a people with the same authority as her mother and her mothers before her… The burden was crushing in its own right.
Sameera, the current pharaoh of Egypt and seated daughter of Isis and Ra, had been gearing her only daughter up for greatness since she had been brought into the world. The palace had served little as a home and more of a house of education, gearing up the little girl for a future in which all would bow down to her. Sameera has been, and will be considered a bountiful ruler. She ushered in an Egypt in which magick and divine favor rained down on the land, where suffering was lightened, and where pain had been naught but a bruise.
To give her daughter, Tavi, a taste of what it would mean to be the seated pharaoh and begin expanding her power besides running the palace, Sameera had placed her in charge of the Festival of Hathor. The festival in itself being amongst the most important task Tavi has been held in charge of to this date. In the morning, Tavi would be heading out by herself to Dendera, the main site of Hathor’s cult and preside over it, and of course, ensure it passes smoothly.
It sounds so simple: let people get drunk and feast, make merry, and enjoy singing and dancing in the company of others, but Tavi has never been a part of such importance in ritual ceremonies. She’s only ever observed, and even that in itself has been something hidden to her as her mother finds the merrymaking beneath her real education under the watchful eyes of Thoth.
Tavi sighs deeply and rests her arms on the balcony for just a moment more, already intending to head back inside and rest for the night before one of her lady maids interrupts her train of thought.
“My lady,” the finely dressed woman begins. “You have a visitor.”
Tavi’s eyebrows shoot up in surprise as she crosses the balcony through the cool night air to come to her lady maid’s side. “What? Who on earth would come to my quarters at this hour?” She inquires, more curious than angered at the thought she has a visitor.
The woman bows her head in the princess’s presence as if to silently ask her if she should address the visitor. “I believe it pertains to the Festival of Hathor, but it was not my place to pry,” the lady maid continues, her voice soft and sweet. “Shall I tell them to leave?”
Tavi blinks before shaking her head. “No, you may leave. I’ll handle this,” she replies warmly, her hand resting on the taller woman’s shoulder. “Go, get some rest,” she hums.
The lady maid nods, thanks her princess, then exits out the servant’s entrance, leaving Tavi to her own devices.
The young princess brushes back some of her black hair, wondering who would ask audience with her so informally and so late at night. She crosses her limestone floor quietly, akin to a ghost as if to tell her visitor no one is present before stopping just shy of the door. Mentally, Tavi remembers what her mother has said about acting regally in the presence of others, how to stand tall and like a future queen, and physically rolls that onto her stance.
With a deep breath, she opens the door.
And here is another response show casing what RPs tend to look like down the line WITHOUT me RPING multiple characters:
Tavi’s eyebrows shoot up In surprise as the listens to Arya’s words. “That is troubling,” she murmurs more to herself than anyone else as she once again brushes back some of her hair.
Her mind wanders, wondering what the right course of action would be. Of course, they would be moving during the earlier morning before the sun would come up, but with the flowers on the line… “perhaps we should leave earlier,” she hums.
But then that would require waking up the rest of the party—and they needed their rest. “We can discuss this inside, please,” Tavi moves aside in the doorway, gesturing for Arya to enter. “I would despise seeing your work go to waste because of the heat and the sun,” she says, already moving to her table to give Arya a cup of water.
[Howdy, here’s the phrase. “An ocean without unnamed monsters would be like sleep without dreams.” ]
And here is a response showcasing me RPING multiple characters:
Abasi mentally rolled his golden eyes at Arya’s childish gesture as he led Tavi through the halls. He enjoyed the feeling of the princess’s hands on his forearm—she felt delicate beneath his touch, and it made his heart beat just a little bit faster.
The area they had stepped into was absolutely beautiful, gorgeous in every which way. The air was sweet and warm, like a mother’s caress.
“Great mother Hathor,” Tavi murmured, her head bowing in reverence to the goddess. “What a beauty and blessing you are,” she murmured to herself, slowly letting go of Abasi’s forearm.
“Princess!” A priest’s voice cut through. “What a pleasure to see you here,” he said warmly. “I presume you’ve come to make an offering?”
Tavi smiled and nodded, gently telling Abasi that his guard could lower. “I have. What a magnificent job you and the priests and priestesses have done.”
The priest beamed and quickly nodded for one of the lower ranking priestesses to fetch a bowl full of offerings they’d prepared for the princess. “It means the world t hear it from you,” he said. “We’ve gone all out this time for her festival.”
“It shows,” Tavi hummed, silently thanking the lower ranking priestess who handed her a bowl full of spices, jewelry, flowers and sweet smelling oils. Gently, Tavi came to the edge of the pool, kneeling down and offering silent prayers to Hathor, a blessed mother, before placing the bowl gingerly on the water.
It rippled as it flowed on the surface, almost resting perfectly in the middle amongst the sparse lily pads and lotus flowers.
On her way back up, Abasi offered the princess his hand, and she took it.
The priest once again beamed. “The goddess is most pleased with your presence,” he noted, barely able to contain his joy. “Would your companions like to make offerings as well?”
