Takutanuva was a character I was never quite satisfied with in his varied looks across the Bionicle franchise, so the other night at work I found myself doodling ideas for what he might look like if he ever showed up when I did Bionicle stuff =)

I was given the task of defining the style and character of my oc, and in my opinion it was successfully completed. This is probably Azura's best redesign yet.

I decided to keep it and stick with the old palette, adding more blues and browns color with gold detailing on the shirt. To keep the design simple, I refused the patterns on clothes, removed the puffy sleeves of the shirt, and added cuffs on the arms. This decision was unexpected, and I did not expect that I would like it. As a finishing touch, I added the «Hammer of Thor» amulet, the main function of which is to protect warriors, sailors and travelers...

At this point I will end the discussion of design so as not to bore you any further. I will be grateful for your likes, and especially for your comments. It's interesting to know people's opinions about my work. The previous art received very positive reviews, which became a powerful incentive to continue working on the characters and my AU)

Dreamworks didn't make Aja Latina because they were too scared to depict someone being perpetuated for being a person of color, an immigrant/refugee, and a woman.

Okay! Finally, it's time to post the backlog of artwork I did from 2023 and all previous years :) One of my goals this year is to be more active on social media and get on an actual posting schedule [*groans in introvert*] lol

Here is the revised portrait I did for Gaia [Gali] from my humanized Bionicle project. Since characters in this series won't be using/wearing their original mask from LEGO's set designs [for copyright reasons], I wanted to design each person's face and hair with features from their kanohi designs while showcasing their personalities too.

For Gaia's design, I focused on using design elements from the Kaukau Nuva mask [hair, brow, lips, and nostrils] while also keeping some features from the original Kaukau itself [nose bridge, cheeks, and face shape]. Her determined yet gentle personality can be seen in her soft upturned eyes and structured yet free-flowing hairstyle.

I'm finished the Helga concept and feel calm 😌

I was too immersed in her design and, despite the wide variety of ideas, none of the previous concepts resonated with me positively. I experienced many failures and disappointments, but my desire and determination allowed me to return to this work again and again to create the ideal image of Helga that I imagined in my head. In the end, I am satisfied with the results achieved within the framework of the set goal!

She is Halfdan's ex-wife. It is unknown how exactly they met, but it is known that they have two beautiful children, Azura and Freyr. After divorcing her husband, Helga lived far from the village, in the dense forest. Half the trolls came to her for love potions and fortune telling. Her hut contains many magical artifacts and books...

I'll stop on this information. In the future I plan to create more art with Helga. Thank you for your attention!
