Hiiii so this is my first time asking for anything but can you do Astarion headcanons where Gn!Reader is basically a Living heater, like they’re always warm.

Heyo thanks for asking! I did the headcanons for spawn Astarion only as I haven't ascended him yet, hope you don't mind! Also this inspired me to write a fic where reader and Astarion share a bedroll and cuddle so thank you anon! Look forward to it!

Being able to feel warm is a novelty Astarion has recently come to love

His favourite spot in camp used to be the campfire, where he would always be found lounging with a book in hand, that is, until he found out how warm you are

Suddenly, you’ve adopted a very clingy vampire who wants to do nothing more than sprawl all over you like a cat sunbathing on a nice flat rock underneath the sun

Speaking of cats, he definitely purrs when cuddling with you, no matter how much he says otherwise

“You’re hearing things, darling” “Right…”

At first, he’s hesitant about how much physical contact you’re willing to put up with, only pressing shoulders with you and holding hands whilst sitting around the campfire

He’ll take what warmth he can from you without crossing any boundaries you may have, and feel his way around his position in the relationship

But as the two of you become closer, he starts to become more daring

The first thing he tries doing is hugging

Ever since you first hugged him, he’s been craving the intimate act, coming up with excuse after excuse to hug you such as checking you for injuries and being tired after a long hike

And now he has the perfect excuse

“You’re warm, I need the warmth” or so he says. Not that you mind, really

You keep silent about how he constantly melts in your arms during the hugs

Sometimes he pretends like he isn’t craving a hug but you can tell from the many glances thrown your way and the slight twitching in his arms whenever he’s right next to you, so to save him his dignity you initiate the hug

He loves it when you initiate hugs, it makes him feel warm both on the outside and the inside, the kisses that always come with the hugs are an added bonus

If you’re shorter than him, he likes to bury his face into your hair while holding you as tightly as possible so that he can absorb maximum warmth while feeling like he’s holding the world in his arms

If you’re taller than him, he likes to bury his face into your shoulder/chest, there’s so much warmth emitting from those areas, he can’t resist. Besides, it means easier access to your neck should he get a little peckish

Once the two of you are close enough, he starts resting his head on your chest and curling up against you

He likes hearing your heartbeat while indulging in your body heat, it keeps him grounded and trancing isn’t as scary as it used to be when he’s enveloped in your warmth

Sometimes he likes just lying curled up against you, a comfortable silence filling the air as he traces a length along your arm, intertwining his fingers with yours

His favourite place to cuddle is snuggled in a cocoon of blankets with you, he gets double the warmth especially on chilly nights

He’s alright with being the big or small spoon, unless he just woke up from nightmares then he’s all about being the small spoon for the night

He may not need massages, being a vampire and all, but he still likes to request them from you from time to time, if only because he gets to feel your warm hands on him. He doesn’t care how effective the massages are

All in all, he loves the toastiness that is you and would never trade it for the world

Firstly, this man has been wanting to get married for so long, he wants someone to call his own. Someone to come home to.

Something in him feels wrong for wanting something so arguably traditional. He wants someone to provide for, someone to protect and come home to.

God if his wife isn’t the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen. When he comes home to her snuggled on the sofa, dinner stewing in the Le Creuset he bought her after she said that one of her friends had recommended they get one, his heart swells a little. A lot.

The way she jumps up beaming to welcome him home still makes him a little teary despite having dated for four years and being married for two.

He always thought that men like him didn’t deserve beautiful, gentle, kind women like her. To see her so utterly elated at him merely walking into their entrance hall does something to his soul.

He’s so quick to scoop her up, peppering kisses to her cheeks and nose like he’s not seen her in years, even though he’s only been gone for an afternoon meeting.

The minute he’s home she struggles to let go of him, not when he’s so toasty and soft and warm.

If she makes dinner, he sets the table and washes the dishes afterwards.

Always tells her that the boys and Laswell send their love. They all appreciate his wife just as much as he does, glad that John has finally found his person.

Domestic Astarion headcanons???

brb I NEED TO WRITE SOME DOMESTIC STARI HEADCANONS:

loves to lie on Tav's chest just so he can receive head scratches, genuinely whines if they stops

will royally fuck up whatever he was doing if Tav gives him a back hug with neck kisses

if Tav has a tail or horns, will pull onto them simply out of fun and then give Tav a mischievous smirk when they glare at him

will not indulge in cooking since he only needs to feed on Tav's blood, but does not pass by without giving any advice on how to elevate the flavors

sews Tav's clothes before they can even mention that it's torn, that's kind of his love language

let's Tav lay on him with his chest to their back as he's leaning against the armrest of the couch while reading a book, occasionally pecks the top of their head

cannot contain himself and smiles pretty hard when he finds Tav asleep in his arms, it almost causes his undead heart to beat

loves to nuzzle his face in Tav's neck if he's the little spoon, their warmth always feels toasty on his cold skin

will take some time out of his day to remind Tav how much he loves them, even if it means kissing them till both of their lips and red and swollen

takes pride in his skills while pampering Tav with lots of oils, perfumes and soaps

loves compliments which aren't only about his looks, appreciates occasional gifts

thinking about his new life at his lovely home with his love always makes him tear up a little, how far he had come from being a slave to a terrible master to having the life he didn't think he deserved. Tav always reminds him that he held on long enough to free himself from the miserable life he led.

if him and Tav ever decide to have/adopt children, he would do his best job in being a father even though he didn't think he would ever be one

Random Obey Me body temp headcanons

Warmest

Diavolo - Literally hurts to touch him sometimes. His palms feel like the surface of the sun. (They don't sweat, though, which just makes it all the weirder)

Beelzebub - Definitely hot, but not unbearably so. Unlike Dia, this is a sweaty boy and will often wake up in the morning with hair stuck to his forehead.

Mammon - Less hot than just nice and warm. Probably your best bet for toasty cuddles bc you won't run any risk of overheating like with the above two, but still plenty of warmth for you to leech.

Satan - Another distinctly warm boy, but all his warmth is pulled into his core, so his extremities are much cooler than the rest of his body. Still, we haven't reached clammy territory yet, so they're not really that cold, just cooler in comparison.

Simeon - It's less that his body itself is warm than it is that he has a faint, warm glow seeming to radiate from him. Probably something to do with being an angel, but it's pretty nice either way. Feels a bit like you're a cat sitting in a sunny spot when you're next to him.

Asmodeus - Neither warm nor cold, really. His temperature fluctuates with the temperature of his surroundings. This means his temperature is never a sudden shock when he inevitably clings to you, but it also means he's not ideal for either huddling for warmth in cold weather or cooling off together in hot weather.

Lucifer - We have officially entered clammy territory. Much like Satan, Lucifer's extremities are much colder than his core, but since his core isn't all that warm to begin with, his hands and feet are pretty damn chilly.

Solomon - No warmth to be found here, he will sap any heat out of you, and he's enough of a bastard to do it. That said, if you generally run hot, it's actually pretty pleasant.

Belphegor - Your core temperature drops a hell of a lot while you're asleep, and given how rarely he's fully awake for long periods of time, he's just perpetually in that state. What his natural baseline temperature is like is a mystery even to himself.

Barbatos - Cold enough that you will instinctively recoil the first time you grab his hand. The tips of his fingers are often white from lack of circulation. He does have the decency to avoid cuddling too close without express permission, though.

Leviathan - Frigid and clammy. He's an aquatic snake boy idk what you expected. Unless you yourself run particularly hot, you will probably scream if his feet touch your legs while cuddling.

Coolest

He’s not much for texting, much prefers sending voice notes. These can range anywhere from simple good night/good morning notes, the longest, most pointless, probably drunken rambles, jokes he stole came up with, or professions of love.

When he texts, it’s always in 90s/early 00s style and full of emojis that don’t quite mean what he thinks they do.

He’s not used to people doing things for him, so he is massively grateful when you do like menial domestic labour for him.

You sewed up the hole in my jacket? You’re THE best, I can’t believe you would do that for me. You did my laundry? WTF? You didn’t have to do that (he’s been wearing the same unwashed boxers for 2 weeks, someone had to) how can I ever repay you babes? You cooked for me? (It’s literally a pot-noodle) You’re an angel, I’m not welling up, shut it.

He’s really good at like, enhancing 'easy' food. He’ll add egg and chives and stuff to his packet noodles, makes the best cheese and vegemite toasty, knows just how much oil and extra cheese to add to a frozen pizza, and has mastered box mix cupcakes. His favourite is chocolate.

Uses a 5 in 1 shower gel, if and when he showers, and you cannot tell me he doesn’t blast lynx africa and/or paco rabanne 1 million so he smells woody and spicy.

However, if you have fancy smelly products of you’re own, he will use them. Gonna treat himself with a good scrub and some large helpings of your shampoo and conditioner (this one’s got multiple products for their hair, posho!)

Doesn’t matter if you use products intended for a specific skin/hair type, it’s getting used.

As a nice bonus he likes doing it cause it means your smell lingers on him when you’re not together.

Won’t admit it but he also really likes it if you burn candles and/or incense.

If you’re close enough in size, he will steal your clothes. Especially socks cause he is always wearing holes into his own.

Gets all gooey and excited when you wear his clothes, especially if you’re small enough that they look oversized, and are visibly his.

If you’re inclined to wear flowy summer dresses, he’ll go feral. Also, a big fan of linen shirts/blouses and short shorts.

When he’s dressed causal he lives in shorts and filp-flops, even in the midst of winter. Or if he’s not leaving the house he’ll just wear his boxer shorts.

Is gone for long periods of time (prison, hiding out etc) so is very clingy when you’re back together, and doesn’t really have boundaries.

Will walk in on you in the bath shower to use the toilet, or to just sit and talk to you. If you ask him nicely, he will wash your hair. Might not do a good job, but he will do it. Has his arms wrapped around your waist at all times while you’re trying to do chores or are out shopping. If he wakes before you (a rare occurrence) he will just lay on his side, watching you sleep. Might get impatient and attempt to subtly wake you by gently brushing your side or nose, or gently shaking your body.

Normally sleeps way into the day, and snores, loudly. Often wakes with a hangover. And will practically beg you to make him a bacon an egg.

Loves almost any and all brekkie food, bacon, egg, hash browns, pancakes, you name it.

Is not a cuddly sleeper. Like he can fall asleep cuddling, but he will start rolling around, splaying his arms out, kicking his legs. Huge bed hog.

Says his favourite films are action, gangster, or like bro style comedies. Think like: Road House, Indian Jones, Kill Bill, The Gentleman, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Hang Over.

If you put on a horror, drama, or rom com, he will not watch it with you.

But he will find things to do in the general vicinity. Or straight up do the dad thing of like standing in the middle of the room with his arms crossed. If he’s not sat with you, he’s technically not watching it.

So like, which one is actually her dad? They don’t tell you but the writ- No no no, don’t tell me, I’ll figure it out, Don’t go in the basement, there’s never anything good in the basement, oh she’s only bloody gone and went in the basement! But… Barbie doesn’t love Ken. I’m not cryin, I just got allergies, shut up an’ watch your dumb girly film.

Has a stolen tattoo gun,wants to get matching tattoos, has pro for everyone of your cons. Ideally, he just wants names/initials in hearts, but will settle for more symbolic tattoos. Like a boomerang to represent him for you, and something similar for you.

Keeping any gift you’ve ever given him for life.

I made you a friends ship braclet. Eh, ya know its not my normal kinda jewellery. You don’t ha- No, fuck off, I’m gonna wear it forever.

Would still love you if you were a worm. Hasn’t the foggiest what he would do with you. But he would love you.

Obviously gonna teach you how to use a boomerang. Even if you already know, he’s gonna show you the right way. Gotta make sure his bab is protected. (Don’t tell him that you find them impractical and are unlikely to ever use one when in need, he will sulk.)

tw: no warnings, sfw, fluff and comfort, suggestive part in Terzo’s headcanon though.

Primo

Has never considered being the little spoon before you— and is surprised when you ask to be big spoon one night. He agrees because he’s a huge softy for you and finds it hard to deny you anything you want if it’s within reason and there’s no reason to decline. So he lets you spoon him and it’s a new feeling but he falls asleep so much faster than usual.

The two of you discover that when you spoon him he goes out like a light very fast, his body relaxed and comfortable in your arms. The two of you take turns being little spoon after that, alternating each night or if one of you feels strongly about being one over the other.

Secondo

He refuses to be little spoon at first, he enjoys having you in his arms too much, and each time you whine or ask him to be little spoon instead, he usually distracts you with kisses against your bare shoulder.

One night though, you’re having a very difficult time— he holds you as you cry and afterward when all the tears have run dry, he tucks you into bed and gently tells you that you can be big spoon if you want. You love this man so much; it becomes a thing to help soothe you when you’re anxious or upset, holding him in your arms. He lets you take your comfort and though he won’t admit it he does begin to grow very fond of the feeling of being held in your arms tucked against your chest, safe and sound. It becomes more of a regular occurrence after that but he’ll deny liking it and insist it’s for your benefit not his (you know the truth though).

Terzo

Switches between little and big spoon often. This actually is usually determined by the weather— if he’s too hot, he prefers big spoon, but if he’s cold he likes to be little spoon. It’s nice and toasty in your arms after all.

Prone to teasing you in both positions; grinding forwards or backwards into you depending on where he is. If he’s the little spoon he often gets a lil smack on the butt in return, a reminder to behave because you are too sleepy to be engaging in other activities right now. It’s eepy time.

Loves to cover your hands with his, tangling your fingers together and resting your hand right over his heart.

Copia

Almost always the little spoon, feels safe and warm in your arms. He doesn’t mind being big spoon if he must, but he enjoys little spoon the most so you usually indulge him. You love having him in your arms anyways so it’s a win-win.

This is also the best position to comfort him when he’s upset since he’s facing away— often feels embarrassed about crying in front of you. It’s a compromise so he can feel at ease crying without being watched but still be comforted by you and your presence. It means a lot to him that you’re by his side, and after he has a good cry he’ll turn around in your arms when he’s ready. You’ll softly ask if he’s okay and sometimes he’ll say yes, sometimes he’ll only nod. Either way, you continue to hold him in your arms and reassure him with gentle kisses and reminders that you love him.

MK Lads x Fem!S/O React To Being Snowed In By A Dangerous Blizzard

Erron Black

Prepare to hear complaints that it's well under 0 celsius and that Erron is freezing his nuts off.

Refuses to let you shovel the snow "'Cause it's a man's job!" but mumbles frustratedly the entire time he does it, sliding and slipping about haphazardly.

Absolutely has like a month's worth of emergency provisions in the basement, so at the end of a long day of sub-par snow shoveling, he'll kick up his feet and dig into a heated can of beans.

Hanzo Hasashi (Scorpion)

Well, the good news is that you won't have to worry much about staying warm, Hanzo will rotate around the house, using his demon flames to insulate the rooms.

Will warm up the toilet seat for you when you complain about it being almost too cold to use.

He will learn to carefully balance his new role as your personal heater whilst also being a fire hazard. You'll have him just standing in the middle of the room while ignited so you can be toasty while napping.

Liu Kang

Out of everyone, he would do the best in a blackout, Kang has never relied on electricity or wifi to be entertained.

So long as the house isn't falling apart around you, Kang will help distract you with crafts and board games, you know, to stave off the inevitable cabin fever.

Thanks to the blizzard, Kang can now make good on his promise to teach you how to play mahjong just like his grandmother! (Grandma Liu took no fucking prisoners while playing mahjong).

Kung Lao

Will see the snow piling up outside and will smugly be like "Ha! Good thing we're inside where it's nice and warm!". Karma will demonstrate its impeccable sense of timing when the power goes out seconds later.

For the love of the Elder Gods do not let Lao touch anything, he will somehow make it worse.

Tried to break the ice in a frozen pipe by hitting it with a wrench, succeeding only in bursting the pipe and flooding a portion of the house with icy cold water.

I can’t remember if I requested this, but here. I know that you made some sleeping headcanons for the OT trio, so could you do one for the PT as well?

Sleeping Headcanons: The Prequel Trio

A/N: Of course I can, angel. Have some sleepy headcanons for these three hot-ass messes. 🛏

Anakin

I feel it is important to state the fact that, as a Padawan, he often slept on the floor, next to Obi-wan’s bed, because he was worried about losing him as he had his mother and Qui Gon.

This habit has kind of stuck with him, in that he likes to be close to you.

Personal space? He doesn’t know what the concept means.

He likes sleeping next to you and will be touching you at all times during the night, even if you don’t realise it at first.

The physical intimacy, and security, of having you in his arms help ease any nightmares or concerns he may have about losing you.

He’s also used to sleeping in unusual places. From his tiny bed as a child -which he shared with his mother - to on the floor of far off planets, whilst on missions… he can sleep anywhere and doesn’t take long to drop off.

He also doesn’t really hog the sheets either, given that he’s used to sleeping without them on warm planets. He also has you next to him as a portable heater, which means as long as you’re toasty then he will be too.

It also means that you wake up most mornings, to find him tangled about you, with his face buried in your chest, his hair all ruffled and fluffy.

It’s when he looks most at peace, and this is one of the reasons you two are nearly almost always late out of bed in the mornings (much to everyone’s amusement).

You just don’t have the heart to wake him and spoil the moment… even if it does mean putting up with constant teasing from Ahsoka.

Obi-Wan

This poor man needs a nap. Like, constantly.

He is always on the move… usually chasing after Anakin or some other chaos that he’s somehow got himself dragged in to, and it surprises no one that he always looks minutes from passing out.

It’s a bit of a joke amongst you all, but you all know that if he’s sleeping then you do not wake him unless you have to - he’s earned five minutes of peace.

In fact, more than once, he’s woken up after passing out somewhere to find a blanket has been draped over him by someone.

(Anakin swears he saw him dozing in the archives once, but you can’t tell if he’s lying or not)

When Obi does make it to a bed then he’s a light sleeper, I feel.

This doesn’t change, even after the Jedi order collapses. He wakes easily, and will often struggle to return to sleep.

Pre-Order 66 this would usually mean some kind of morning meditation, or getting up to make a tea to drink in bed beside you. However, after the order, you usually find him tinkering away at something or staring out at the rising suns in a bid to pass the time until you also wake.

I think he’s also keen on having some kind of tether to you when in bed, but he has no qualms being the little spoon from time to time.

Actually, he rather like being able to let his guard down and just sleep, head pressed against your chest, listening to your steady heartbeat.

He’s also been known to melt when you run your hands through his hair just so - a fact you enjoy teasing him with.

He also snores (though he denies it. Adamantly)

Padmé

This angel sleeps soundly most nights, and is only too happy to let you crawl in next to her.

She (like Obi-wan) isn’t always known for getting rest, as she always insists there is work to be done.

However, she will often at least agree to sitting in bed beside you, staring down at some draft of a Senate bill.

It’s a decent compromise as eventually her eyelids droop and she is forced to give in, and nestle down next to you.

Most mornings you find her like that, with her papers still cast about the place just inches from her hand, where they fell when she eventually passed out.

Before she sleeps, however, Padmé would enjoy the sight of you resting next to her, your body curling up against hers.

It is one of the few precious moments she gets to just pause and be content.

The other is waking up beside you, normally as soon as the sun rises.

It’s also the time when she doesn’t have to be dressed in her finery, with her hair pulled up or her person decorated with jewels and other tokens befitting her status.

She is simply Padmé, with her hair flowing and a loose silky nightgown - unencumbered and at her most natural.

To see her like it is a privilege, and one not to be taken for granted.

With his whole body he melts into you, careful not to touch you with his metal arm if its too cold

He likes to wrap you both in a blanket so you're warm and toasty

His heart skips a few beats when when you kiss his neck and you can feel his whole body shiver at the show of love and affection from you

Could fall asleep like that if he didn't know you'd both wake up with your bodies hurting

Of course he has the solution, which is to carry you, and the blanket into bed and resume your cuddling session

- since he works so much i think the only time you'd really be able to fully enjoy this is if you're snuggling up before bed and you decide to tickle him. since he's not the most verbal, he probably would let out the most adorable surprised happy squeal if that makes sense?!

A/N: These thoughts have been driving me insane and the time to finally share this with other fellow Jason enjoyers is finally in my grasp. Also some of these might be a lil ooc. Also minors DNI

We can all agree that he has a big dick, right?

Right.

Just imagining him having a partner and needing at least, like, 10 minutes to adjust to the tightness and his partner needing to adjust to how big he his or else they’d both cum too soon if he started moving now.

Depending on his mood and if he has time, he’d either be degrading and manhandle you (which I don’t think I would mind honestly 🛐) or he’d talk you through it, praise you, taking his time and enjoy the moment, hold your hand, all the fluffy stuff and shit. Obviously, quickies are a must even if he still feels frustrated after it. Better than nothing, right? 💀👍

But like… no matter what, his eyes would always glow a slight green. And I’d just love that ✨🫶

If you’re a fellow vigilante like himself, you better be ready cuz he’s not being gentle most of the time. If you’re a normal civilian you bet your ass he’s being gentle a little more than half the time. If you’re still just a normal civilian, but could handle yourself against a common thug or mugger, it’s 50/50 (he’s still going to be gentle every so often).

He’s not into being tied up and no pain play. Brings back bad memories. Even if his partner would beg for it, he would decline without a second thought.

I like to think his type would be similar to Raphael’s type from 2012 TMNT 💀. I’m also basing this headcanon off of Red Hood: The Outlaws from Webtoon— but anyway, he wouldn’t be too discriminative, he just wants and needs someone that can always be by his side and loyal, but he would make it so obvious that his type would be badass, strong, and independent. Like, the entire DC fandom just knows he’s a Wonder Woman fan too, so… 💀

After care would consist of cuddles, reassuring words until him and his partner would fall asleep, and food— especially food. I can just imagine him making grilled cheese sandwiches (or cheese toasties depending on where you’re from) and he’d be wearing a silly, cute, pink apron, sweatpants, no shirt, and just… the scratch marks being so visible on his back from the night before ✨🙏

This is Toasty Marshmallow Cookie: Dark Cacao Cookie's personal maid and massage therapist! She's a Healer and Rear cookie! I don't have the best idea for her skill just yet tho, but I do want it to relate to her job in massage therapy lol.

Personality-wise, she's basically the Isabelle of Cookie Run Kingdom. Just like the dessert she's based on, Toasty Marshmallow Cookie is a very sweet, warm, and happy young lady. She's an exceptionally hard worker, always prioritizing her king's needs with a smile. If you ever need to talk with Toasty Marshmallow Cookie, you'll likely find her scurrying about the Citadel to appease her king or beside him.

Here's her backstory:

Ever since she was a young cookie, Toasty Marshmallow Cookie always wanted to help other Cookies overcome their aching pains through the art of healing instead of facing their pain on their own with no one to come to their aid. However, her kingdom was built on a foundation of stubbornness, whether it be for better or worse, and was openly criticized by her friends and family that her softness would get her nowhere in a world of hardship and frigid cold.

Determined, Toasty Marshmallow Cookie continued forward, not letting anyone stand in her way of achieving her goals. One day, Toasty Marshmallow Cookie came across a severely wounded Dark Cacao Cookie, having just fended off many foul beasts of the forest, with no one to come to his aid. Upon realizing this, she managed to drag her king back to the black citadel to provide him with the proper care he needed.

However, a bruise deemed irrelevant by the pharmacists caught Toasty Marshmallow Cookie's attention and requests to aid the king's injury, to which he agrees and has it tended to through a massage. Soon revealed that the bruise was in a very vital spot in the king's dough and if left untreated could have left a kingdom with no king. Upon recognizing her talent, Dark Cacao Cookie offers her a position as his personal masseuse and she has been working for him ever since.

Silly fun facts about her:

-Whenever Toasty Marshmallow Cookie walks around, the sound of jingle bells can be heard. -Is in a relationship with Choco Marine Cookie (@foxatron-ze-geek132's OC) -Loves collecting scented candles for her sessions. Her favorite scents are fresh vanilla, peppermint, pinecones, and (of course) marshmallows! -Has her own studio at her cottage in the Milk Village and one in the Citadel (Dark Cacao set it up for her) -Even tho she is very sweet, she is a no-nonsense kind of girl and she'll shut down anything if she has to -Will follow Dark Cacao around like a puppy sometimes. Just to make sure that Dark Cacao doesn't pull his back out. (I like to headcanon that Dark Cacao has terrible back pain if he gets too angry) -She accidentally flirts a LOT and poor thing is oblivious about it

hello hello! I am insufferable :D (this is really long sorry-)

imagine jimmy and tango so exhausted from rebuilding the ranch and collecting resources for it that the only time they are really together is when they fall into bed and pass out immediately

but jimmy’s hands are still badly burnt from when he was restraining tango, and all that building has Not Helped, but he didn’t stop until tango essentially dragged him away, because of course he felt how much his soulmate was hurting

jimmy kept trying to sneak away when tango wasn’t paying attention (“we don’t have any good armour, we need at least one layer of defence!”) so tango came up with the better plan of just laying on jimmy

it started out as a last-ditch attempt to keep jimmy resting. tango fully expected jimmy to push him off, but instead jimmy just sort of froze in surprise before relaxing into it—it’s at that point where tango realises jimmy is The Most touchstarved person in the world, ever, and will do pretty much anything for cuddles

so what does one do with this information? abuse it, of course!

even after jimmy’s hands have healed (wounds like that heal fast on life games—They find it boring when one person is unable to do anything because of an injury) tango insists on cuddle sessions every afternoon, something jimmy is obviously trying to pretend he doesn’t like as much as he does

tango spends most of the time teasing jimmy about how sweet he is, what with how his will crumbles every time tango asks him for something if he’s holding jimmy’s hand at the same time. so you can imagine jimmy’s delight when he found out tango purrs

they’re especially tired after the whole warden ordeal, both half asleep in each other’s arms. tango has his nose pressed against jimmy’s neck as he rests his head on jimmy’s shoulder, jimmy with his wings around them both.

jimmy blinks sleepily and smiles at tango, who looks like he is about to pass out right there. he moves his head slowly, as to not disturb him, and presses a kiss to his hair.

he almost yelps as he hears a low rumbling, expecting it to be the warden or pearl’s dogs, but as he listens, he realises it’s much too soft to be something aggressive.

for a second, jimmy is utterly confused as to where the noise is coming from. then, he turns back to tango and notices how his throat—currently pressed against his shoulder—has begun to vibrate.

jimmy presses a hand to his mouth to keep from laughing in delight. tango, mr ‘i’m going to bring the warden from the deep dark’, resident redstone mad scientist, creator of decked out, is purring.

“tango,” jimmy whispers gently. “hey, tango.”

tango cracks an eye open, and wow he really is a large cat. “mm?”

“you didn’t tell me you purred.” jimmy grins.

“wha..?” tango does not look awake enough to understand anything.

“you’re purring.”

tango just blinks for a moment, before apparently processing what jimmy just said and going bright pink. “oh! oh, no- I wasn’t- y’see, I just-“

“I kissed your head and you started purring!” jimmy exclaims, partially to tease him and partially because it is, in all honesty, adorable.

“yeah, well,” tango mumbles, trying (and failing) to hide his face. “… shut up.”

“tango, I am never going to shut up about this.”

HI THIS HAS BEEN SITTING IN MY ASKS FOR MONTHS AND I JUST KEEP RE-READING IT INSTEAD OF POSTING IT.

I don't know if I've ever actually written it, but I'm in love with a tango who purrs. I've assigned this man so many silly cat traits it's starting to get ridiculous. He's got his cat-ish eyes and tail, his purring, his teeth, though there's a special place in my heart for my lovely mutual Theo's hc of something inside him literally glowing, him being toasty warm, and a collective headcanon of him needing his blaze-rod crown to stay energized during the life games. I could go on and on about blazeborn and tango, please hold me back.

And jimmy who won't admit that he enjoys the attention but won't ever say no to it, i adore him. I think about the ranch burning way more than I should for it being a year ago, there's just so much to unpack in relation to what DL was for jimmy as a character.
