I was thinking a Tangled-inspired au with the Wish characters might be interesting. Maybe the Star Boy would be born as a result of a wishing star falling to earth, and then Magnifico decides to raise him but keeps him as isolated as possible so he can use the star's magic to boost his own powers.

At night, when the kingdom of Rosas slept, a star fell from the sky. But any kind of star. No, that star was a magical baby being send down to earth.

The king of Rosas, Magnifico, noticed something shining the next evening, and decided to check it out.

He found the star baby, and immediately figured out that the infant had some kind of power. Maybe powers he could use...

So, Magnifico took the infant in, but not in the castle.

The king put the infant in a tower a small distance away from the castle, and raised him there in secret.

Not even Amaya, the king's wife and queen of Rosas, knew of the star child's existence...

For 18 years, Magnifico raised the boy, who he named Astar, in that tower, in the hopes that the kid's power could be useful to him the kingdom.

The boy knew no one outside of his "father". He never went outside because father said the outside was a dangerous place. His only companion was his adorable star animal who he named Star.

Astar lived in that tower for 18 years, until a strange girl suddenly broke into the tower...

what about an au where asha is the adopted daughter of magnifico and amaya?

This solves so many problems, holy moly.

For as long as they rule Rosas, Magnifico and Amaya tried to conceive a child, an heir that will rule once they're gone.

But after many years, the couple still didn't have a child, let alone expecting one.

And to make matters worse, Magnifico's good friend Tomás and his wife Sakina pass away in an accident, leaving behind their one year old daughter.

With Sabino clearly too old to raise the girl alone, Magnifico and Amaya decide to take the child in and raise her as their own. With Sabino present, of course.

It was something getting used to, and some days weren’t that easy, but the royal couple were happy to finally experience the joy of raising a child, an heir who’ll take the throne someday.

The people of Rosas had it pretty good. So good that they became numb to the king’s generosity, and mad when the king didn’t grand their selfish wishes.

They become spoiled, if you will.

One girl, Asha, took it to another level when she wished upon a star, wishing for more than what they have.

That lead to a star being pulled down from the sky.

But it would be King Magnifico who discovers that star. A star who turns out to be a boy with magic powers.

At first, Magnifico wants to send him back wherever he came from.

But when the boy displays magic that’s able to grand wishes willy nilly, the king decided to teach him the responsibility that comes with such magic, wanting to avoid chaos.

As much as I like Anna and Kristoff, I definitely agree that her and Hans could've been something great that showed how sometimes people who were neglected growing up can rush into the first positive relationship they have because in their minds, not only are they finally getting the love they've craved but the other person feels the same way. And they could've both realized over the course of the movie, neither of them really know each other at all to be making such a big move, and deciding by the end that they do like each other, but they should slow it down more until they figured things out, or, I don't know, broken up because they realized they weren't actually in love, they'd just been mistaking platonic affection for romantic.

I just feel like it was such a waste to completely change his character at the end to be a twist villain. Like, we'd only ever seen him be a good person with plenty of opportunities to steal the throne if he wanted and he didn't seem to be faking with Anna in the first half of the movie. He just kinda seemed to have the same problem of jumping into a relationship with the first person he had a connection with because of how he grew up. How he acted after the kiss felt like a completely different person, and I feel they could've still kept in sisterly love unfreezes the heart instead since maybe the true love's kiss wouldn't work because they barely knew each other.

And now that we’re getting Frozen 3 and 4, there’s not one but two chances for Hans to return and for the writers to salvage his story. I mean, he was suppose to be in Frozen 2, but that got scrapped. So who knows?

I doubt it, since Disney is clearly too embarrassed by his existence, but there’s a chance.

But this counts for Kristoff too. We barely have any backstory on him, and he’s one of the main characters! Where did he come from? How did he meet Sven? Where the heck were his parents?! There’s still so much to explore about him and his relationship with Anna, and the writers really need to take that chance.

I truly believe Starboy would have been the Jack Frost of Disney if they weren't such cowards, like just looking at his design, I can tell people would have loved him! If you wanted to keep Star, you could've have made him Starboy's cute animal companion like Asha's! A love story would have made this so much better, like both made it that much closer to an actual fairytale and paying tribute to all the other Fairytales they've done with love stories!

Yet Disney went the marketable route with it, and turned Starboy into a plushy :/

You know how mermaids are eternal teenagers? That means the krakens fought an entire race of teenagers and slaughtered them. Also how does Genocide Grandma even know Nerissa didn't have a daughter? Did she monitor her for... wait... the entire mermaid race is perpetuated by teen pregnancy. All of this wack wordbulding so that the movie has a Hans villain which nobody likes. Look up storyboards on Youtube if you want to go through 5 stages of grief. They had actual gold in their hands and wasted it. How incompetent can someone be seriously.

Did they outright show or say that mermaids are eternal teenagers? I unfortunately forgot because I was too baffled by the that genocide grandma.

If so, that raises a crap lot of questions about Nerissa. Is she a teenager too? Because I thought the movie implied that she is an adult (which, if so, is another unfortunate implication by itself here...). If she is a teenager, that will raise a lot of concerns as to how Genocide Grandma even knows she didn't have a daughter, WHICH IS REALLY FUCKING CREEPY!

So I listened to some of the podcast of the director on Instagram, and he thinks he's written some complex relationship between Chelsea and Ruby. The Nerissa switch was a last minute thing, she says mermaids don't age , it seems like a Mavis Dracula situation because she acts like a genuine teenager. And the writers tend to point to this in the interview, they didn't intend to write a groomer but hey shock value twist villain am I rite? Chelsea and Nerissa were originally different characters. And I really propose we treat them as such anyway, because they're gonna have to retcon that anyway otherwise this series is dead lmao. All this potential lost for a Hans villain btw.

When Dolores was 15, she met a guy named Omar. He was kind, handsome, and payed far more attention to her than her parents and family ever did.

So, naturally, Dolores fell for him.

They started dating behind the family's back, and Dolores couldn't be happier. Finally, someone who actually cares about her.

Well, until she found out she was pregnant a week before her 16th birthday...

When Dolores told Omar, he accused her of lying and that the baby isn't his, before breaking up with her...

Feeling extremely alone and having nobody, Dolores decided to tell the family, who immediately want her to marry the father...

"Dolores should be wed to the father." Alma decided with the whole family in the room, not even bothering to discus it with Dolores.

But the worst part? Pepa and Félix agreed in an instant.

The marriage itself didn't go through in the end, because Omar left the village to start a new life in the city.

So, Alma suggests another solution...

"Pepa and Félix should raise the baby." She decided. "Sorry Dolores, but you're too young to raise a child."

"But I wanna keep it..." Dolores says, already bonding with her child. She may just be 16, but she feels ready. "I want to care for him or her-"

"You're too immature!" Pepa snaps at her daughter, thundering. "You're gonna give him or her to us, and never discuss this again. Or you're not welcome in this family anymore!"

Having absolutely no choice in the matter, Dolores agreed...

For the remaining 8 months, she bonded with the baby while basically being forbidden to leave Casita, while her mother pretended to be pregnant and getting all the congratulations instead...

And in may, her son was born. Dolores didn't even get to hold him, let alone name him...

Her parents named him Antonio, and he will be raised to think she was his older sister...

Most people see him as this great friendly guy who gets along with everyone, regardless of element. But Wade doesn’t see himself that way.

He sees himself as slacker, too emotional for everyone’s good, a sad excuse of a son who can’t keep a job, and generally a pathetic guy.

Currently, Wade is laying on his side on his and Ember’s shared bed, thinking about himself and what a failure he is. His girlfriend is still asleep next to him, as it isn’t even morning yet.

Wade suddenly remembers the time when he didn’t want to get up because high school was pretty bad. His peers didn’t like him at all, making fun of him and calling him names he still gets from some people to this day.

“Oh goodness, look at him. He’s crying again!”

“Got fired from your job again?”

“Watch out, splash!”

“Why can’t you be more like Alan? He has a stable job and is engaged.”

Tears burn in Wade’s eyes thinking about these words and memories. Yes, he’s happy most of the time, gets along with most people, has a wonderful family and a beautiful girlfriend. But he’s overly emotional, can’t hold a job, and gets on everyone’s way…

He’s pathetic…

He’s-

“Wade?” He hears a voice that interrupts his train of sad thoughts, a certain beautiful voice.

It’s Ember.

Turning around to face his girlfriend, Wade sees her concerned and worried expression. Ember reaches out one of her hand and gently cups his face.

“Are you okay?” She asks, but knows that he isn’t. Her boyfriend clearly has been crying.

Wade can only nod. But Ember knows that he’s lying.

So, she wraps both her arms around him, and pulls him into a hug, making sure that he doesn’t boil.

The water guy welcomes it, smiling once again as he feels his girlfriend’s warmth.

“Thanks, Emi.” He says, appreciating what she does for him.

He truly doesn’t know what he’d do without her.

I hate the Bruno part of the All Of You song, and I hate that BRUNO was the one apologizing!

He did nothing wrong! He had NOTHING to apologize for!

The others need to apologize to HIM! They should have been begging him for forgiveness for how they shunned and vilified and mistreated him! ESPECIALLY Alma and Pepa, but also the rest of the adult Madrigals and all the townspeople!

The movie put it on Bruno, the victim, to apologize to the people who shunned and vilified him, while said people who shunned and vilified him get off scott-free without having to apologize or anything.

What a great way to put the responsibility onto the victim to apologize for something their bullies/abusers did to them….

There has to be some adults with logic in the Mamá Mirabel AU scolding the other adults who left their kids to a young girl.

There are.

Señora Pezmuerto for example scolded Pepa for being an awful mother that dumped her son onto her 10 year old niece.

That resulted in Pepa causing a thunderstorm, and Señora Pezmuerto being blamed for it by Alma and the weather woman…
