You were being followed.
This man had been following you ever since the moment he saw you and your friend in a clothing store in the mall. At first, it seemed like it was just a coincidence, but you started getting concerned when every time you looked behind you, he was there.
When you brought it up to your friend, she suggested that you try and lose him by ducking and diving between other stores and crowds. Unfortunately, he was relentless. Regardless of how thick the crowd was or how densely packed a store was, he always managed to stay in your peripheral.
After playing a very annoying game of Cat and Mouse, your friend got a call from her mother telling her that she needed to get home. You knew that she couldn’t argue with her, so you forced her to leave first. You guided her back to the entrance, aware of the man still following you, then watched as she disappeared in a sea of people.
Both unfortunately and thankfully, he persisted you.
Once you were sure your friend had caught her train and was halfway home, you finally decided to leave. The train station was thankfully packed, so you were able to get some sort of distance.
Your eyes scanned the platform, spotting a boy around your age with two toned hair completely absorbed in his phone. As calmly as possible, you walked up to him and grabbed his empty hand. When he went to pull away, you glanced up at him through your lashes, whispering:
“Please just hold my hand, someone has been following me for a long time now.”
His hand was loose in your hold for a moment as he registered what you said.
“Who is it?” He asked, looking down at you with dark and light heterochromia eyes.
“That man in the dark green hoodie.” He glanced back, then pulled you in front of him.
“What’s your name?” You told him, “My name is Todoroki Shouto. Call me Shouto.”
“Okay, Shouto” You were silent for a moment, “Sorry about this.”
“It’s fine.”
The train arrived shortly after and the two of you were able to snag a seat in a fairly crowded car.
The stalker sat right across from you.
The silence was killing you, but you couldn’t play a game of 20 Questions with the man sitting directly in front of you. You bit your lip, squeezing Shouto’s hand subconsciously as if to say, “Talk to me.”
“What’s in the bag?”
Your eyes lit up by a fraction, “We went to that new clothing store—” You told him, making sure to not mention your friend’s name. You dug through the bag for a moment before presenting him the shirt. “Look at how cute this shirt is!”
You spent the rest of the ride talking to Shouto. He was really sweet, and thankfully he kept you distracted from the creep. When it was time for you to get off, Shouto grabbed your bags and led you off the train and into the chilly night.
He. Still. Followed.
Shouto picked up the pace, hand tightly gripping yours.
“This guy is relentless.” He hissed as he side-stepped into an alley, causing you to ungracefully tumble into him. He quickly pulled you behind him, that warm hand still gripping yours.
You sneezed. It was suddenly freezing.
“Why are you following us?” Shouto’s voice was firm and unweaving.
You looked up, gasping at the scene before you. Shouto had froze the man in his tracks. The stalker tried to break free with his own quirk, but Shouto just kept freezing him.
“I asked you a question.” The man looked up. He was obviously scared, but he had the audacity to answer him with a disgustingly smug grin.
“I wasn’t doin’ nothing,” he shrugged, “we just happened to be going the—” He shut when a sharp piece of ice was aimed at his throat.
He looked down at you and whispered, “How far is your house from here?”
“Not far.”
“Good,” He froze the man completely, “Let’s go.”
You led him the rest of the way to your house. He asked you if he could search your apartment before leaving, and you hesitantly allowed him. Thankfully, though, he didn’t find anything out of the ordinary.
“Thank you so much for helping me.” You gave him a bright smile despite your fidgeting hands.
“No problem. Can you unlock your phone for me?” You raised a brow, but did as he asked, then placed it into his open hand. He messed with it for a few seconds before giving it back.
“I gave you my number. Call me if something like this happens again… or whenever.” He left you standing there stupidly, gazing at the door across from you. When you regained your sense, you closed the door.
Turning around, you gazed at your phone, just staring at the newly added contact. You let your back hit the door and slid down to the floor. Dropping your phone into your lap, you instead placed your flushed face into your hands.
“What just happened?”

🍰Todoroki/Fem Reader SFW & NSFW Headcannons
Everyone involved in this fic is aged up/18+; continue scrolling or block if you’re not into this
Warnings; cursing, making out, Shouto is a champ at eating pussy (he has a tongue ring in this), ass eating, vaginal fingering, small bit of spanking, Shouto is a little bit subby in this (his moans & some of the things he says), dirty talk, Shouto has a bit of a praise kink, Shouto holds your hands behind your back when you ride him😮‍💨
Authors Note; sorry if this is too long- I had to complete the headcannons for my favorite three MHA boys sooner rather than later. I love Shouto, he deserves all the good things and a lot of hugs.
Hope you all enjoy these headcannons as much as I enjoyed writing them!
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Shouto who comes off as cold, uninterested, maybe a bit of a dick, but who is actually so sweet & so loving, who is actually the kind of person that writes down facts about you so he doesn’t forget them (you found the list in his notes app—you definitely cried), who always buys extra of what he’s eating —so you can have some too (even if you said you weren’t hungry)
Shouto who doesn’t get social cues very well, who tilts his head when he’s confused, who wears a blank, spaced out expression on his face often, who lets you teach him how to read the room a bit easier, whose smile could actually melt ice with its warmth (Shouto makes the most facial expressions when he’s with you— you take that as a win)
Shouto who you met in high school, but weren’t really friends with— or dated until after you all graduated, who you crossed paths with while battling a villain, who you caught mid air when he was falling from the top of a building, on the verge of passing out (he says he swears he saw you with a halo, because he fell in love with an Angel that day)
Shouto who loves to drink strawberry milk, who has so many cartons cluttering the fridge in your home, who also brings you a glass when he’s drinking some, because he’s learned he can also show you he loves you by sharing what he likes with you (you think it’s so motherfucking cute when you are handed a glass of milk out of the blue)
Shouto who decides to be a bit rebellious after he gets out of high school, who wants to try new things, who decides to cut his hair shorter, who gets a nose ring, who pierces his ears (not to mention his tongue ring— you almost fainted when you noticed it the first time🥵) who goes with you when you get your own tattoos & piercings—he often wears jewelry that reminds him of you
Shouto who says his absolute favorite thing in the world is to snuggle up with you on the couch, when it’s raining, when the two of you are wrapped up in a fluffy blanket burrito, watching movies & napping (if it gets a little X rated, who can judge you😮‍💨)
Shouto who is a fucking dry texter, but who sends you pictures of things he knows you love while he’s out on patrol, especially pics of dogs that he encounters (he even ends up bringing one home for you), who gets so happy when you respond with pictures of things you know he enjoys—sort of making your own language with one another
Shouto who likes to wear more of a streetwear style when he’s not working (to your never ending delight), who likes to wear matching clothes with you (shoes, shirts, even matching colors, etc.), who even bought you both a pair of matching underwear (because it makes him feel like a part of you is with him—you did feel a bit smug, knowing you were technically sitting on his face all day)
Shouto who sucks ass at almost every video game, but who can annihilate anyone at Mario Kart, bitter because you don’t think you’ve ever beaten him, (although whenever you and your friends gather at your home, the highlight of the night is watching Bakugou lose to Sho over & over)
Shouto who has stayed close to Midoriya, considering the man as his brother by extension (you love the green haired man & see him often), who goes to the #1 hero for help planning you a surprise party by sending Midoriya a series of increasingly concerning emojis until he agrees (he was nervous he would mess it up—he didn’t)
Shouto who loves to eat peach gummy rings?? (not the only peach he likes to eat👀), who you have woken up to eating the candy at 2:00 am (you just take one and go back to sleep), who memorizes your favorite candy and leaves it for you to find everywhere— even your car (you love Shouto so goddamn much)
Shouto who has told you the story of how he got his burn mark, about his father, his brother and all the horrors of his past, who opened up to you—trusting you completely, wanting to share a side of himself others don’t see (you absolutely cried), who you trust in return—telling him everything about yourself & your own past
Shouto who has taken you to meet his family, meet his mother, who added you to the group chat with all his siblings (they are actually a lot of fun, even if Shouto only replies with one word answer or gifs), who tries to fit his face with more than one expression when he meets your parents (you tell him it doesn’t matter, because he’s perfect for you either way—that earns you another million watt smile)
Shouto who loves you wholly, deeply, completely, who is your soul mate, who is your best friend, who planted the seed of his love in your heart that has grown bigger than a California Redwood tree, who becomes your husband, who you love more than life itself—you’d start a war for this man (he’d do the same)
🍰Warning NSFW Below🍰
Shouto who enjoys kissing, who loves to lazily make out with you, who feels his cock start twitching in his briefs when the kiss starts to get heated & messy, lips slick as they glide together, who gets half hard when your tongue plays with his, whining gently when you tilt your head—flicking the tip of your soft tongue against his
Shouto who likes to lay you on your back in the bed, stripping you until your only in one of his large T-shirts, who likes to push it up your belly—slowly letting it get caught on your tits until he can watch them fall and bounce, who makes you keep the shirt up around your collarbone as his warm, wet mouth sucks on your nipples, pussy throbbing—no doubt wet as fuck now
Shouto who bites over the skin on your sternum, plush lips trailing down your belly until he gets to your pussy, who grips the bottoms of your thighs pressing them backwards to your chest, who gets onto his belly, looking up at you as he licks a stripe from your pussy lips up to your sweet bud, making sure he swirls the cold metal of his tongue ring on the heated flesh of your clit (immediately you’re gripping the sheets, whimpering fuck Sho! when warm tingles radiate down to your toes)
Shouto whose eyes flutter closed while he eats you out, who moans into your pussy—vibrations you can feel throughout your groin, who makes you squeal when he sucks your clit—tongue ring feeling electric with every swipe of his tongue, who eagerly says pussy tastes s’good Angel, can I eat your ass? pretty please baby? (you flip over immediately)
Shouto who gets you both completely naked, whose cock is standing straight out when you take a look at it, who gets your ass in the air, face shoved into the sheets, who rains his hand down on your ass cheek, pain flaring brightly up to your hip, who gives you no break—gripping the thick flesh of your ass and spreading you open, kitten licking at your asshole (you almost scream—once again the sensations increased ten fold by the contrast of his chilly tongue ring)
Shouto who shoves his middle two fingers in your pussy with no warning, tearing a gasp from your chest, who finger fucks you and sucks on your tight hole until your lower belly tightens, pussy clenching his fingers, cumming hard, who fingers you through your orgasm— stroking his cock as he whines to you Angel your pussy is so fucking tight, wanna fuck you so bad, please can I? (you say yes immediately)
Shouto who knows you’re a pillow princess, who loves it, but has actual hearts in his eyes, cheeks flushed a sweet pink when he’s able to convince you to ride him for a little bit—reverse cowgirl style, who props his back against the headboard with a couple pillows, who pulls your hands behind your back—holding your wrists together in one hand
Shouto who spreads your ass with his free hand, whimpering uncontrollably as he watches his cock disappear into your pussy as you bounce in his lap, whose dick throbs and who sucks in air sharply between clenched teeth when you moan f-fucking hell Sho, your cock is so good, so big, gonna make me cum as you throw your head back
Shouto who can only take it for so long before he pushes you off his cock, manhandling you onto your back whispering in your ear gonna fuck your sweet pussy now, okay Angel? as he grips his shaft, feeling how slippery you’ve gotten his cock, sliding his dick all the way in with one thrust—making you cry out and dig your nails into his shoulders
Shouto who bends you in half, knees hooked over his shoulders as he squishes you into a mating press, who fucks you hard, hips curling up into your sweet spot, making you feel each drag of his cock, cumming within the first five strokes—& then again and again and again, orgasms popping in you like water balloons, pleasure gushing all the way up to your brain
Shouto who chokes on his moans as your slick, warm pussy squeezes his cock over & over, voice low & needy when he whines into your ear Angel please, cum on my cock one more time, need it baby, pretty please-m’gonna cum soon
Shouto who does make you cum one more time, who makes you start to feel dizzy from cumming & the angle you’re pretzeled into, you’re able to focus just enough to speak in between moans, saying Sho, hah—oh fuck! Sho, you’re such a good boy, fuck me so well, love your cock Sho, love you baby boy—who cums instantly when he hears your sweet voice praising him, high pitched, needy sounds falling from his lips as he grinds his hips against your ass, cumming in warm, sticky ribbons
Shouto who makes you feel like you have noodles for limbs, breathing heavy as you both feel giddy with the post orgasm glow, who unravels you slowly, pulling out & letting you spread out like a starfish, who flops down on your side, who lets you collect your thoughts—lacing his fingers with yours as you both relax into the mattress
Shouto who eventually gets up to clean himself, who brings you a warm wash cloth and cleans you, who finds the shirt you were previously wearing and some clean panties after he gets dressed, who pulls you into a hug—telling you how much he loves you, planting kisses all over your face & you do the same—Shouto who goes to the kitchen & then brings you a glass of strawberry milk 💕

wAIT so if Rei dies the todorokis would kill us and buried us with this psychos ??? OR WORSE they will buried us ALIVE next to her ?? I thought that is Rei dies we will be more a peace and being capable to have a life more easy and less able to give us traume
No, in fact the day Rei dies is the day your life turns for better (not completely normal, but better for sure). Not only would they bury Rei in a graveyard far far away, but they would also never ever visit her again! Grave robbers can do whatever they want!😃 AND Enji and the fam would immediately leave the house of horrors and move to a new home!
Sure, they're still yanderes and still have a bunch of rules that you must follow, but there will be no more physical punishments, thatsvfor sure. And even when you do mess up, like sneak out to meet friends or skip a meal or two, Enji is very merciful. I mean, all you have to do is give him those big doe eyes and mumble an apology and his heart melts. He can never be mad at you🥺
I think that even Dabi would turn... softer. Rei was a major enabler to his "playful teasing" that was just borderline abuse, but with her dead and no one to defend him against Enji, Natsuo and Shotou's wrath, he has to play nice or else he won't get to see you at all.
I think the only one who u should be afraid of is if Shotou gets Momo as a gf and she becomes a yandere for u too and she's honestly just a mini Rei in the making, only worse because she has a family and resources to back her up insanity (that she masks in front of everyone).
And I think another yandere to be afraid of would be... Overhaul? Maybe, I'm not sure and I need to take a shower rn so I can't ponder to much over this. Maybe if Kai kidnaps you and his obsession with keeping you "pure" physically and mentally takes over, then he could be a yandere to be very very afraid of.

Prologue
Tumblr media
You woke up as usual, with your alarm yelling at you to get up, and dragged yourself out of bed.
You felt odd, a headache on the left side of your head and an ache in your legs. You ignored it for the time being, taking a painkiller and getting dressed for school, opting to overthink it later.
You felt lethargic, and for some reason your brain just didn’t seem to be functioning properly. It was only as you were walking to school that you realised that you had forgotten something. Your phone buzzed with a message from Jiro saying “Happy Birthday!” with a few emoticons, and it hit you. Your birthday - your soulmark.
You immediately stopped and tried to find your reflection in a shop window. You looked over everything you could see, annoyed that you hadn’t looked before you’d gotten dressed for school. There was nothing odd about you, nothing visible had changed. You had a headache, but you had taken painkiller for it, so there was nothing notable.
You continued to school, hoping something would happen today. It was so ridiculously rare to not have a soulmate, but you couldn’t chase the possibility out of your mind. It was probably something simple and stupid, like your soulmate being younger than you.
Yeah, that was it. You decided to leave it be as you walked into your classroom and were greeted by your classmates. They all wished you a happy birthday, some asking to see your soulmark or asking if anything had changed. Explaining you didn’t know was more difficult than you anticipated, but your best friends Jiro and Tokoyami promised to help you figure it out.
“Nothing at all?” Jiro asked for the fifth time that morning.
“Nothing whatsoever. Just a headache specifically on the left side of my head,” You said, which only gained a confused look from Tokoyami.
“Slap yourself,”
“What??” Both you and Jiro questioned loudly.
“It could be that you and your soulmate share pain, hence the headache,” Tokoyami suggested, to which Jiro quickly seemed to understand his suggestion.
“I mean it’s possible, soulmates can have literally anything bonding them,” She said.
“So what’s slapping myself going to achieve?” You asked. If possible, it was in fact something you’d like to avoid.
“Just do it.”
You gave in, huffed, and raised your hand to your cheek. You took a breath in and gave yourself some space between your hand and your face.
And then slapped yourself with far more force than you intended, which gained confused looks from everyone across the classroom.
“So what now?” You asked, wincing. To your horror, Jiro seemed to be hiding a smile and Tokyami was looking away.
“Did your headache get worse?” Tokoyami asked as you nursed your now stinging cheek.
Did it? You couldn’t tell, but… no, the dull ache was still there and hadn’t changed. If it was, then what did that mean? Was the headache your soulmate’s pain?
“No,” You said cautiously, “But this doesn’t prove anything, and it also wouldn’t help me find my soulmate,”
Jiro couldn’t hold her laugh in anymore and sniggered, holding onto Tokoyami as she used her hand to cover her mouth. You deadpanned as you watched the two of them enjoying this just a bit too much.
“You two are terrible,” You grumbled, “I’m never asking you for soulmate advice again…”
---
You slowly wandered the UA halls, not looking where you were going and getting lost in your own thoughts.
It was a nice day, and you were taking your time to get to the cafeteria. Jiro and Tokoyami had apparently got a birthday present that they wanted to give you, but you had got distracted on the way there and then couldn’t get back in focus.
As you rounded a corner, you caught a glimpse of another person about to crash into you, and in a split second you used your quirk to push them back. They toppled backwards and fell with a grunt.
Your back suddenly started aching, but you ignored it for now, instead deciding to focus on the boy who was now trying to stand back up.
“Oh no, I’m so sorry, I did that totally unconsciously,” you said quickly, trying to help him up off the floor. Oddly enough, it was Todoroki from your class.
“It’s alright,” He replied, “It was my fault, I wasn’t looking where I was going,”
He then pulled his sleeve down and held his arm, not taking his eyes away from his wrist. You panicked and assumed he was hurt from the fall.
“Did I hurt you?” You asked, worried, but he simply shook his head.
You tilted your head to try and see what he was looking at.
00.00
It was his soulmark, but it just showed zeros. It was a countdown, you assumed. So that meant-
The zeros suddenly faded from his wrist, causing him to wince. As it disappeared, you felt a sudden stinging on your wrist in the same place Shoto’s soulmark was.
“It’s nice to meet you, soulmate.” He said, and gave you a small, gentle smile.
---
Bonus:
“Okay, that was mean earlier,” Jiro said as she sat with Tokoyami in the cafeteria.
“They said they had a headache on their left side,” Tokoyami explained calmly, “I wanted to see how Todoroki reacted,”
“I mean it’s a fair assumption, but you can’t jump to conclusions like that…” Jiro said,
“Hey guys,” You said, running to their table with a smile, “You’ll never guess what just happened,”
“Todoroki is my soulmate-!”
“YES! I called it!”

“did ya hear?” your roommate bumped into your shoulder, playfully.
you were in the middle of making your nutritious breakfast that consisted of oats and fruits. you read it helped with the brain and in the school of magic, you definitely needed that.
when you had finished high school you knew you wanted to explore your witchcraft ways and become a witch. the best witch in the land. so now you were in the school of magic and acing every subject. you were at the top of your class. some might even suggest you were the goody two shoes, the know it all, but you didn’t mind. they would scoff and roll their eyes every time you answered in class but all that mattered to you was being the best out of the best.
“what’s up?” you took a big bite of breakfast, sitting at the table.
“have you been living under a rock? we’re getting a new professor this semester. i am so fucking excited!” your friend jumped up and down, dancing.
you tilted your head, “you mean, you don’t like professor williams telling us we suck ass on the daily and we’re never gonna follow our dreams? he’s such a sweetheart, why would you want another teacher?” your words dripped with sarcasm.
your roommate rolled her eyes with a chuckle, “ha ha. but seriously, y/n, the professor i’ve heard is hot.” she wiggled her eyebrows.
“like dilf hot or-”
“like he is only a few years older than us!”
“what?” you choked on your oats. “how in the hell-”
“best in his class. actually he’s one of the best period. i’ve heard that he made up a new magic trick. something to do with ice and flames, at the same time.”
“wait, are you talking about shoto todoroki, the shoto todoroki.”
“yeah, i think that’s the guy.”
you almost screamed, “no way! shoto is like my idol. he has proven that magic airway can travel within itself with different opposite techniques. he’s insanely good and one of the best wizards!”
“so you’re a fan?”
you twirled around in your kitchen, “can you just imagine? we are going to be taught by one of the greatest! we’re gonna get the best education and learn so much! that’s actually why i came to this school. i read about him and he inspired me to be a witch.”
your friend faked a yawn, “well damn don’t get all happy school girl with me. he’s probably like the rest of them.” she shrugged, “either way, we have his class first so you can go and fangirl over him all you want.”
your eyes bugged out, “for real?”
“why?” your friend smirked, “are you excited to see this sexy professor?”
you shook your head, “he probably has a girlfriend or a wife. let’s be respectful and good students.” you collected your spell books, retrieved your witch hat and wrapped your neck with your comfy, soft, orange knitted scarf.
your friend grumbled, “i don’t want to be a goody-goody like you. some don’t really care.”
“we’re gonna be late,c’mon!” you hopped onto your broomstick. putting your earbuds in to listen to “all too well” by taylor swift. your broomstick slowly came out of your apartment to your campus.
it was the start of the day and everyone was bustling to and fro, having places to be, classes to attend.
you read your papers that were sent to you by crow and could make out that professor shoto todoroki’s classroom was in the main building of the classes. it was usually the nicer rooms with more decoration. his class was potions and elements of magic. your wand was tightly placed in your bookbag, safe and secured.
you smiled wide, cheeks getting nipped by the cool autumn air. the smell of pumpkin spice and cinnamon dancing in your nose from the many students getting coffee. and the smell of many apple orchards that littered around the campus made you so happy with your choice in school. you vowed to yourself to be the best witch ever.
but as your broom swayed closer to his classroom your heart pounded as well. every minute the tapping against your rib cage would make you sweat and gulp loudly. what if he hated you? what if he was the worst teacher ever? what if you were to get an f? how were you then to be the greatest?
Tumblr media
you sat your broom outside the classroom, leaning it against the wall.
every new semester day made you anxious. it was bound to happen. but why were you also intrigued?
you fixed your mini black skirt with your fishnet stockings on, sticking your head inside the classroom. it was already filled with many students and that was when you saw him!
the greatest wizard to ever live, shoto todoroki. his hair was half white half red. the side with the red hair had a blue eye and the side with white hair had a brown eye. he also had a burn mark on his blue eye. he looked incredible and so handsome.
“told you,” your friend whispered in your ear and slapped your ass playfully.
fuck, she was right. you almost moaned the first time you saw him. you never really looked at him that way when you saw photos of him but now seeing him in real life for the first time, something set off inside of you, making you cross your legs. he had an all black outfit. his coat was black and his suit was black. it fit him nice and tight but made him look like a true wizard. he carried with him a scepter with a crystal ball on the end of it. you already knew by that he was high in rank.
he licked his fingers, turning something in a spell book and looked up. he was about to look back down but you caught his guard.
again, you gulped loudly, biting your lip.
his eyes bore into yours, almost studying you.
“can i help you?” he asked, hands leaning against his belt. his hands looked rough from maybe the constant training and learning. magic was no easy thing.
“oh no. i go to this class.” you lifted up your paper.
“please,” he gave a small smile, disappearing the moment it showed up. you could tell he was more reserved and quiet. “have a seat here.” he pointed to the seat right in front of the class. nobody took it because they were afraid but you always took that seat. you wanted to show teachers you meant business.
as you made your way other students booed and rolled their eyes. “we have her again?”
“she always tries too hard.”
“that’s why she has no friends.”
you looked down, embarrassed. you took out your books and notebooks as well as your wand. just staring at it so you would try not to cry.
then you heard a snapping noise.
“there is no bullying in my class. if you have a problem with this student then leave because she certainly isn’t leaving. or maybe i should give you all an f? hmm?” professor todoroki snapped, leaning against his desk, eyebrows furrowed.
your heart thumped even harder now. why did he stand up for you? surely it was just because he was a nice teacher and nothing more, right?
“what is your name?”
“y/n l/n. thank you professor-”
he put his hand out, “no need. just do your best.” he said, emotionless but then he winked at you.
you couldn't harp on those feelings longer because after that he announced the start of your class. you were bashful and grinning like an idiot. maybe this semester wouldn’t be so bad after all.
Tumblr media
the classroom was medium sized. dark and a bit cold. it had big windows that showcased the whole campus. behind the students were gigantic light wooden shelves, with books stacked inside them. it looked glorious with emerald green and navy blue inside. candles were lit everywhere and inside smelled of autumn leaves. the perfect setting to learn.
“so today i will introduce myself and get you to know a little bit about me,” shoto announced as he crossed between the students desks. “i am shoto todoroki and i am known as the best wizard. the reason is-”
“it’s because you can create flames of heat and ice at the tip of your fingertips. nobody else in the magic world can! that’s actually impossible.”
shoto tsked as he looked back at you. now he kind of understood the kids, you were a know it all.
you smirked. for sure this would make you the class pet.
“thank you y/n but i can speak for myself. anyways yes, but in this class i will teach you my tricks. this is my first ever class and i expect dedication, hard work, and respect. respect for magic,” shoto turned around and stared directly at you with dark eyes, “and especially respect for me.”
you played with your fingers as you tried to look anywhere else but him.
“i will as well teach you some potions and spells to help with certain magic, alright?”
everyone was writing down their notes. it was almost done with the class.
“everyone i want you to write this important term down. mesthuleniza, it is a spell to stun your opponent. now repeat after me-”
you raised your hand.
shoto sighed, massaged his temple and bit his lip, “yes y/n.”
“it is said mes-thoo-le-ny-za not mes-thoo-le-ni-za. most students are saying it wrong. i just wanted to clarify.” you put your hand back down and grinned big. your legs were swinging back and forth all innocent.
students groaned in annoyance and shoto put his hand on his mouth to try to calm himself down. “yes y/n, again, thank you. now the history of the spell is-”
“soldiers would use it on their enemies to stun them for goods. it was used all the way back in ancient egypt times. some theorize it was made by the gods but all we know is it has worked for many decades for special purposes.”
just then the bell rang.
“alright class dismissed! i want the papers on my desk by lunchtime tomorrow. and practice on animals with your spell. have a good day, students.”
you felt good. you made the best impression you felt. as you were packing up all your items you noticed you were the last student, the only student left behind.
“y/n?”
you turned around to see shoto writing on some papers at his desk.
“yes, professor?”
“you are going to stay here for lunch.”
“but sir! they are putting pizza tonight! i love pizza,” you pouted.
he looked up, unimpressed by your childish act. he crossed his leg as he sat back, hands behind his head. “i don’t care what you want y/n. what did i say to do in my class?”
you kicked around sheepishly, “to respect you.”
“exactly! did you do that? did you do that for your fellow classmates?”
you shook your head, “no. but sir-”
“no buts. for the way you behaved, i should have you punished.” his voice dropped low and his mouth twisted into a scowl. “so you’re staying here and helping me clean.”
you stomped your foot like a brat, “this isn’t fair! i’m the best student in this whole damn school. i am supposed to-”
shoto stormed up and with a finger in your face he growled, “watch it.”
you gulped and went silent.
“now, you are going to do as i say and wipe the board and put the books away. understand?”
you exhaled, rolling your eyes, “whatever.”
professor shoto sat back down and read over some paperwork.
you grumbled the whole time as you picked up the eraser and got to work, swishing your arm back and forth to clean the school work residue. you didn’t want to admit but he taught a well class. he was very informative and explained things clearly. you loved every second of it.
“i enjoyed your class, professor,” you said quietly, almost under your breath. you heard shoto turn around in his chair and utter a mellow, “thank you.” but you didn’t hear him turn back. you felt his gaze on you.
you looked up to see high above the chalkboard was more wording that needed to be erased. professor todoroki was taller than you so you stood on your tiptoes to reach the leftovers.
if you knew you were going to clean the board today you would have worn a longer skirt but as you stood on your toes your tight black skirt rose, showing the underside of your ass. you were wearing a black thong with a spider bedazzled on the front of it, and over the thong was your fishnet stockings. you could feel the cool air go under and tickle your ass and pussy. with each swipe on the board it made your ass jiggle, almost making it clap.
you still felt his gaze on you and could see him in your peripheral vision.
was he?
your eyes went quick to him and you noticed him staring at your ass. he looked thirsty. as if you were the key to unquench his thirst. he looked at you as if you were the last sip of water on this earth. his eyes were wide but his gaze was dark as if malicious or lustful. he kept his hand on his mouth as if to stop him from having a taste, his adam's apple moving up and down slowly. shoto moved his head closer and lower, tilted at an angle to get a better view of your full ass.
you looked down on him and noticed his full on boner.
you were shocked? not your professor?
you weren’t an idiot. your professor was hot and honestly you felt something burst within you with him looking at you that way. you felt hot, and bad. you wanted him to punish you. you felt cherished in a way. something changed within you.
but what would people say? what would happen, the chemistry from here on out if you acted upon it? would people notice and then they would really think that you are the class pet?
all of it was too much.
you got back on the soles of your feet and planted them on the ground. you fixed your skirt and looked directly at shoto with a smile. “i’m done here, need any more help.”
shoto looked away, embarrassed with a cough, “yes, um, i have some books that you can put away in the bookshelf. right over there.”
you nodded and picked the books up to put them away.
as you put the books away you noticed a book written by him. it was about his technique of fire and ice. you were astounded by his words. he was incredible.
“and without a wand,” you uttered to yourself.
you sat the book against the shelf and took your wand out. the end of the wand was thick and had ridges on it. it was unique and decorated by you. you studied the passage of the book and tried to do the spell. you tried to get fire to come out but it was no use, it didn’t work.
“that’s not gonna work,” todoroki walked in on you. hands in his pockets as he gave a small grin seeing you try.
“yeah, sorry, i’m not that good,” you chuckled sheepishly.
“you know you don’t believe that,” shoto picked up the book to inspect it. “you just told me, you think you’re the best.”
“i just, i wish i was as good as you.”
shoto thought about that moment and walked back. he peered around the room then lifted his sleeves up. “here let me help you. i can teach you.” as he lifted both hands to you, you saw the veins on them. they were the most attractive hands ever. “now this is kinda dangerous so please be careful.” in that moment he produced ice on his right side and flames on his left.
“woah,” you looked with eyes big of wonder. “this is amazing!” your hands went over the ice and it felt so cool and over the fire. “ouch.” you flicked your finger back, sucking the burn.
“allow me,” todoroki picked up your finger and kissed it. then he poked his tongue out a bit and licked the tip of it. it was warm at first then cool his saliva. all the while his eyes never left yours.
“better?”
“b-better,” you nodded, bashful. your head was spinning. you felt you were in another world.
“look, stand like this.” shoto went behind you, spread your legs apart and placed both his hands on yours. “don’t think about anything else. forget what other professors have told you. feel the cool and the heat. think about them being friends, lovers rather than enemies.”
you closed your eyes to concentrate and that's when you felt warmth and cool on your hips then your arms. it shot a spark up your spine.
“try it y/n, i know you can do it.” shoto whispered in your ear.
feeling inspired a little flame and ice shard were produced in your hand. “oh my god!” you jumped up and down. it was gone the minute it showed up but it meant everything to you. “i did it! oh my god!”
shoto crossed his arms with a love grin on his face, “i’m proud of you, student. good job.”
you couldn’t take the tension anymore and backed shoto against the bookshelf, planting your lips on his.
at first it was hot and warm, you ran your fingers through his hair messily. he had his hands squished against your face. mouth fighting for dominance.
he parted with heaving breaths, “no y/n, no, we shouldn’t do this. i’m your teacher. we could get in trouble. i shouldn’t be having this with my student.”
“please, professor,” you pouted. you brought his hand to your vagina. wanting him to feel you. “you see how wet you already made me.” you grinding on his hand, and went to his ear, moaning, “and i saw the way you stared at my ass. like you wanted to eat it, professor.”
todoroki scowled. his eyes turned dark and his mouth twisted into a frown. “there you go again. acting like a little brat. i knew you were trouble when i first saw you. acting like a good girl when you know you are the baddest one here. look at you, begging me to fuck you, wanting me to touch your wet pussy.” shoto pushed you against the bookshelf. lifting your mini skirt up high so it rested on your stomach. you showed him your bare ass, with your cute thong nestled in the middle of it.
“oh professor!” you cried as he turned you around, inspecting your clothed pussy.
“i love these,” he chuckled, delicately touching your fishnets. he then ripped them along with your panties.
“professor i loved those,” you pounted again.
“look at you, always pouting like a spoiled brat.” shoto’s hand became red with flame power and that's when he smacked your ass. you jumped up and moaned, shaking it for him. god he turned you on so much. again he smacked, harder this time. you whined, “i’m sorry professor shoto, i’ve been a bad girl.”
“yes you have been, you've been a bad witch. witches are supposed to help people but all you wanna do is fuck them.” todoroki put your wand in your mouth to stifle your moans and cries from his slaps. “you like that, my bad student?”
you nodded, grinding your bare ass on his clothed dick. he earlier ripped your pussy and ass area of your stockings. so he turned his hand ice cold and wiped his hands from your cunt to your ass hole, smearing your juiced back and forth. “i can smell you from here, you dirty girl. all wet from your professor.”
“mmmm, yes! that’s feels so good.”
“let me ask you,” shoto massaged in circles your tight asshole, “have you ever been fucked by a wizard?”
before you could answer, shoto gently laid you down on the floor and ripped your shirt, spilling your boobs out.
you grunted loudly, still having your wand in your mouth.
“fuck,” he whispered, fingers turning red for heat and circling your bud. it felt soothing, a warm feeling. then his hands turned ice cold in a split second.
that’s what got you super wet. you were humping his leg that was placed in the middle of you. moving back and forth as his coat that covered his leg was now being covered by your cream. the friction of your pussy folds coating each button and fabric made you see stars.
todoroki’s intense eyes looked into yours and his brows knitted together, “aww look at my little brat. is she now being a good girl?”
his fingers delicately came down your collar bone to your nipples, gently tickling them with his nails. his hands were cold as ice. he rolled the bud back and forth in between his fingers. then, as if they weren’t sensitive enough, he produced from his magic a piece of ice. he hovered it over your mouth and it dripped down your neck to your nipples. making them poke out even more and become swollen. it made you more wet and almost find that special feeling.
“oh my god,” you moaned.
“wow, look how sensitive. they respond so well to my magic.” he smirked, rubbing the piece of ice all over your tits.
you started grinding faster as then finally todoroki put the ice cube in his mouth and dipped his head to take a nipple in. he twirled the nipple with his tongue while the ice tapped on it as well.
the feeling was like something you have never experienced before. it was incredible.
“oh professor!” you cried, your stain on his legs and coat were becoming bigger and wetter.
todorki hummed as he feasted on your nipples. the feeling of ice cold making your pussy pulse.
shoto retrieved a candle from the side of the book shelf and heated the tip of the candle with his powers. the hot wax dripped down your belly almost making its way to your cunt but dried up before it could reach it.
you hollered in excitment and sexual tension you almost orgasmed right there.
“i don’t know how much more i can do this, professor.” you were humping his leg now like a dog in heat.
“listen to me brat. i said you respect me in my classroom. don’t make me have to punish you again, you bad girl.”
shoto went lower and opened your legs, with his face near your soaking wet cunt.
“wow, look how wet you are. you are so dirty.” he was only inches from it.
you wiggled your hips, “please, help me,” you cried.
shoto kissed the inside of your thighs. “my little witch, such a spoiled girl.” he produced another piece of ice and it dripped over your sensitive clit. you couldn’t help but almost orgasm there, the feeling was incredible. the ice droplets dripped on your swollen clit and down your hole, mixing with your cream.
“all wet for me,” he whispered as he put two fingers to dive in your soaked pussy. you gladly sucked his fingers inside, eyes crossed with how good you felt.
“ohhhh, right there, right there.” you started moving on his fingers.
shoto licked his lips as his fingers turned really warm. he started moving his fingers in and out, then scissoring inside you. the squelching and wetness of it was all that was heard.
“fuck i’m gonna cum, professor.”
“no listen brat, i say when you cum.” he put his hand on your lower belly. he looked directly into your eyes. “try to keep your eyes open. i want to see my student’s eyes when she cums.”
you tried to listen. your body moving up and down with how shoto escalated his fingering. he went faster and faster. your pussy gushing with moisture.
“look at how filthy you are. you are a naughty girl.” his temperature then changed to ice cold. his fingers were like ice as he fingered faster. he started curling his fingers inside you, hitting the g-spot perfectly. his arm was pistoning in and out of you.
you were finally screaming with pure ecstasy. this was the best feeling you ever felt.
“i’m almost there-”
“not quite yet,” shoto chuckled. he grabbed the wand from your mouth. it was dripping with your spit. “open wider for me.”
you did as you were told.
“good girl,” he winked as he turned the wand over and entered the thick side first, inside your already sensitive cunt. your pussy took it in and your cream leaked down to the tip of it.
“fuck! oh shit, fuck!” you were crying. it felt so good. “yes, right there. fuck yes. fuck me with my wand!”
shoto got his right hand cold and played with your nipples while the other hand moved the wand in and out like a sex toy. entering inside of you then out.
“you are taking this so well. i am going to have to put my wand inside you.”
“professor! i can’t! i’m gonna cum!” you screamed, not caring if other students heard you. you opened your legs wider by spreading them with your hands. you looked down to see how fast and slick you took the wand.
“that’s it, witch! cum for me!” he announced as if he put a spell on you.
your legs were shaking and he kept repeatedly hitting your g-spot with the wand. “fuckkkkkk!” you croaked. your strength and energy gone with how deep the wand kept going.
you lifted your legs high in the air and stood there for a minute while he orgasmed. shoto slowly dipped the wand in and out, loving the way your fold suction aed around each groove.
your juices dripped onto the carpet and all over shoto’s hands.
you looked down to see shoto’s trousers having a wet stain from his precum. you felt kinda bad not giving him the same attention.
“professor i-”
he pulled the wand away and wrapped his lips around it, tasting each part of you and licking every last drop. “i expect you at my class everyday. i expect great grades from the greatest witch ever.” he stood up, wiped his hands on his soaked trousers. he took his coat off and wrapped it around you. “you can give this to me tomorrow.”
“professor, when-are we ever gonna do this again?” you bit your lip.
shoto gave a cute smile, “as my best student that gets perks, you will stay after class to help me. better get that delicious pussy ready tomorrow and meet me back here again, like a good girl, right?”
it was crazy but you got wet all over again. “yes, professor.”

Ooo, I'm about to dive in
Woah, oh, oh, oh
---
Splash.
This is your third lap around the school's Olympic-sized swimming pool. You're preparing yourself for UA's upcoming swim meet against Ketsubutsu University.
Along with Kirishima, Bakugou, Midoriya, Kaminari, Sero, Uraraka, and Ojiro, you were quite enthused when UA decided to implement competitive sports teams. It was quite refreshing for you, a business major with a love for sports.
With the breadth of the hero course's curriculum, you really couldn't see how they'd even have the time for sports outside of hero training, but they seemed to all make it work somehow.
Including your boyfriend, Shoto.
He's a part of UA University's Big Three along with Midoriya and Bakugou and also on the men's swim team with them.
That was how the two of you met and started dating. At your first swim meet against Shiketsu College.
Of course you knew of the infamous Todoroki son from high school's sports festivals and the like, but you had zero interactions with him or any of his classmates due to your differing course schedules at the time.
Now that you all are in college, the course requirements cause students with all different majors to mesh together, as they all share many of the same prerequisite classes needed in order to graduate with a full academic degree.
Once you started dating, Shoto's cold (no pun intended) outer exterior began to melt away (also no pun intended) as you began to worm your way right into his heart.
After you finished your final lap, you pulled yourself out of the pool to sit on the stone steps that led out of it.
Wringing out your wet hair, you pulled it off your shoulders and up into a messy bun with a few pieces hanging in your face.
"Well, that should just about do it for today." You triumphantly told yourself, your chlorine-soaked face twisting up ever so slightly into a confident smile as you thought about winning the meet and then going out afterwards to celebrate with all your friends.
And with Shoto.
The sound of your gym locker slamming shut echoed around the empty changing room. With your heavy school and gym bags slung over either shoulder, you were ready to make your way back to the dorms.
"Going somewhere, little lamb?"
A deep, sultry voice cooed out from somewhere behind you.
You turned abruptly, slightly startled by the tone of the all-too familiar male's icy tone.
"Hey, Sho. What's up? I didn't know that you guys had practice this evening."
He stepped from around the corner, his tall, lean, 6'2" frame approaching you swiftly thanks to his long, muscled legs.
No doubt he's the fastest swimmer on the men's team with those legs.
His bi-colored hair, split perfectly down the middle, was dribbling water down his forehead. A white towel slung over his neck soaked up any remaining droplets as your eyes moved from his forehead down to his heterochromatic eyes, his bare chest, washboard abs, and finally…
His raging hard-on that was all-too perspicuous in those tight, spandex navy blue, white, and red shorts.
A ghost of a smirk upturned his top lip as he watched you check him out. He even shook his head a bit from side to side, making water fly off of his hair in random directions.
"That's because we didn't. Coach had to leave early because of a family emergency."
"O-oh? Well, that's unfortunate to hear."
"Mhm."
Before you knew it, Shoto had your back pinned against the lockers. His lips ghosted up your neck, while his sneaky fingers went to grasp your right breast, massaging the nipple through your thin white T-shirt until it was hard.
Your hands came up to wrap around his neck, but he grabbed them up in his other hand and pinned them above your head.
"Mmm, Shoto, what's all this, daddy?" You cooed, eyes dilating while watching him.
"Been wanting you all day. When you texted me that you had practice this afternoon, all I could think about was you in your bathing suit. Soaking wet, nipples hardening when they hit the air, and perfectly outlining your pussy. I don't even know how the school allows you to wear these skimpy ass things, but I'm not complaining."
You giggled and angled your face to kiss his jaw, which made him blush.
So he was still your bashful, cute Shoto, even while overcome with undeniable lust for you. Perfect.
"Let my arms down, Sho. Want to blow your big cock, baby~"
Shoto recovered from his blush almost instantaneously and shook his head.
"No can do, beautiful. I have to have your pussy in my mouth right now.
He growled under his breath, almost inaudibly, and moved to pull your athletic shorts down to your knees. You stepped out of them, leaving your fat, swimsuit-covered pussy on display.
"You didn't shower yet?"
Your turn to blush now as you shook your head.
"I was g-going to once I made it to the dorms."
"Don't fret, darling. I only ask because I want to eat this pussy fresh out of the pool."
Damn was he turning you on! He could eat you however and wherever he wanted to at this point!
"Go ahead, Sho. Do whatever you want to me.."
He clicked his tongue and lowered himself to his knees, finally letting your arms go. You sighed in relief and threaded your fingers through his soft, wet hair.
"Whatever I want? Be careful what you ask for, pretty. Jump."
You did as he asked; he caught you under the thighs and pushed you further up against the locker, which was uncomfortable, but you couldn't be bothered to care.
Especially not when Shoto started sucking on your lower lips through your swimsuit.
"Ooooh, Sho, that feels good, daddy… don't stop!"
He wasn't going to.
Shoto balanced your thighs over his shoulders and you let yourself rest on them while he took a hand to move the now-saliva-soaked material covering your pussy aside to rub your clit with his fingers.
You didn't know how long you'd be able to last like this. Shoto's fingers were like fucking magic where making you come undone was concerned.
"Yeah, that feel good, baby? Want me to put them inside?"
His heterochromatic eyes were locked on your e/c ones as he began rubbing more vigorously, holding your clit between his middle and ring fingers with his entire palm covering your labia.
"Y-y-yessss, shit! So good, baby!"
"Fuuuccck, you're already shaking. You missed me today, yeah?"
No answer from you.
"Come on. Blink once for yes, twice for no."
One blink.
"Good girl~" Shoto took his fingers off your clit and angled them upwards before sticking them inside you.
Your back fell off the locker, but Shoto caught you, chuckled, and positioned you back against it. He lifted your right leg up, pressed it against your chest and let your foot rest beside his head.
"How do you want it, baby girl?" He asked sweetly before he pressed a few soft, wet kisses to your inner thigh.
"Come on, talk to me." He then slapped your thigh, which woke you up from your dumbstruck haze.
"W-want both…want it all…need it all, Sho."
He smirked and suddenly you felt his fingers turn ice cold as he plugged them deep inside your core, making you choke out a few moans.
"Sh-FUCK!"
"Ooo yeah, love it when I make you curse, baby."
He then switched hands, faster than the speed of light and now you were filled with a satisfying warmth. It wasn't long before you were gushing all over his hand.
"That's one. Come here, baby. Let me lay that perfect body down."
Shoto pulled you off the wall and hoisted you over his shoulder.
"You trust me to try something?" He asked as he patted your butt while he carried you out to the pool.
"Mhm, trust you with my life, Sho."
That warmed his heart and made him genuinely smile.
"I love you, baby."
"I love you, too, Sho."
Shoto situated you at the edge of the pool. You dipped your legs in while he sat on his knees in front of you, half-submerged in the water.
"So pretty, looking like a fucking princess on her throne." He praised, rubbing your legs with both hands while he bent to kiss your knees all the way up your thighs.
"How long do you think I can hold my breath underwater?"
"H-huh?"
He didn't answer you; instead, Shoto moved his head between your legs and used his teeth to move your swimsuit aside. One hand pulled it and held it out of the way while his mouth ravished you.
You mewled, head thrown back, one elbow placed against the slippery, wet step to balance yourself. Shoto took your leg and brought it to his shoulder again, holding it while he made a mess of your pussy.
Licking and sucking softly, his lips moved like he was French-kissing you on the mouth.
"Sho, shit! That's so good, baby. Fuck, eat me out, just like that~♡!"
His entire head was in between your legs as if breathing meant nothing to him.
Your thighs began to shake again but he held fast, spreading you open wider as he went wild between them.
His red and white hair shook from side to side as he ate you with vigor like you were the last thing he'd ever taste.
"SHOTO!"
"Mmmmhmmm.…"
He hummed on your pussy, making it vibrate. That was the last straw for you.
He had to grip both thighs tight in order to keep you from tumbling over into the pool head first. You squirted again, making his eyebrows shoot up.
When you came down from your high, Shoto's entire face was drenched, which made you blush.
"So good, baby. You did a perfect job, my love."
He didn't even bother to wipe his face before dragging you by the hips to rest right on the last step. Your lower half was now submerged in a shallow bit of water.
"One more for me, baby. Can you cum one last time on my cock? Hmm, pretty baby?"
You nodded eagerly, though you felt the strength rapidly leaving your body.
Shoto lowered his swim trunks, your eyes watching his every movement until his cock finally popped out.
It's so long; pretty and thick with a fat, pink tip. Pre-cum ran down the shaft only making you want to get up on your knees and lick it up.
"Spread your legs a little, baby. Just like that. Stay right there."
He gripped it in his right hand, stroking a little before tapping it on your clit, making the little bud jump in excitement.
"Sho, no teasing, please….need you…"
"You have me, baby. Oh God, do you have me…" He whispered softly, eyes totally focused on easing his dick head into your cunt.
A shiver coursed through your entire body once Shoto was inside. He used his left side to warm you up, making your belly flare with heat once he began stroking.
Stroke left.
"Sho…"
He knew you were on the verge of breaking down.
Switch it up, now he's moving slowly, thrusting deeply in you, swirling his hips, making the water splash around your waist as his dick is now as cold and hard as a freezer pop.
"Sho!"
"Yes…" He coached as his eyes watched you like a hawk: your facial expressions, your breathing. Everything. He wanted to see it all. To watch you completely unravel, just for him. Only for him.
Stroke right.
His own thighs were beginning to burn from how much work he was putting in, but with his stamina, he could last another two rounds only if you were able to handle it.
Which you're not.
"God, Shoto…"
"Yeah, baby. Call for me. Are you cumming?"
Your stomach was tense, jaw slacked, and thighs sore from being held open for so long.
"I said are you cumming, Y/n? Answer me, baby girl. Do you want me to stop? Stop you from getting that nut?"
Tiredly but eagerly, you shook your head no.
"Then answer my question. Are you close?"
"Y-yes."
"What's that?"
"Y-yes! Yes Shoto, I'm so close! I can't take it anymore, please just give me your cum!" You cried, tears bubbling at your lash line and threatening to spill over.
He had the nerve to chuckle. God, how he loved your tear-stricken face. Loved to see and hear you go delirious on his cock.
"You want my cum? You have to give me something first, precious. You know what I want."
"I can't, Sho…please..!"
"You can. I'm going to help you, baby…help you lose it on my fucking cock."
He spread you impossibly wider, making you almost do a complete split as he drilled his cock into you.
That wasn't all though, oh no.
As he fucked you senseless, he alternated the temperature of his dick with each thrust.
The moans you let out were very hot and pornographic. If anyone out in the hallway was to walk by, they'd most certainly know that you were getting fucked and by whom you were getting fucked.
You couldn't stop chanting Shoto's name, and he wouldn't stop thrusting.
"Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Fuck! That's good…. I feel it, baby, oh shit! Feel you clenching on me, unnghhhh, goddamnit….!"
The water sloshed all around the both of you and you let out one final, long scream of Shoto's name. Your squirt shot out of your pussy and splashed high against his abdomen.
After seeing and feeling you squirt all over his dick, Shoto came hard as hell, filling you to the brim with his nut.
With his last bit of strength, he pulled the two of you up and out of the water and fixed his shorts back up on his hips.
He pulled you against his chest and peppered the side of your head with soft kisses.
"Did so good for me, my baby. So proud of you."
You could barely hear him, but you smiled. You almost fell asleep in his arms until he nudged you back awake.
"What is it, Sho?"
Your eyes followed his to a black, white, and red sign depicting a stick figure running with a red circle and slash mark going through the image.
Shoto smirked.
"No Running in the Pool Area."

“Dance.” The man said. Wearing fine-tailored rich black.
Shoes so shiny they looked wet – like oil – with shirt buttons undone about two or three points down in the spot where a bow ought to have tied the ensemble together.
Everything else was straight – from the partition between white and red locks to the crisp crease lining his slacks.
“Come on, it's a simple request.” He added. Still looking at you in expectancy. “Just pretend I'm not here, Dove.”
You’d just danced for hundreds in a show where if any minuscule little detail were off, your ears would bleed hearing about it after – and though the pressure was crushing and the fall was steep – it had only made you feel prouder while you danced with every fine limb stretched and pointed to perfection – performing choreography on par with the beautiful orchestra classics resonating within the shell of the opera house.
But no music is playing with you now. And as you crossed your legs to establish the starting position - building up for a split and a spin in the air – you felt a lot of seizing things, but not one of those was proud…
“Beautiful.” He commented a beat after you landed, and you must have grimaced poorly in return, for he cracked a grin at you and offered a light-hearted chuckle that seemed vehement in the echo of the opera chamber. “That, however, not so much.” He tsked, though without anger.
You tried wiping your face clean of it and assumed a docile yet poised stance befitting of a professional – still wondering why you’d been called away after the show to amuse whomever the man you found yourself with was.
“Does it anger you?” Said man asked openly, though gave no time for you to answer him. “That despite your skill, despite all your hard work- all your blood, sweat, and tears- you’re of no more value than my opinion.”
Your mouth fell open, but still, you held your tongue in spite of yourself. Though you were unable to keep the grimace from returning – a glitch in the narrowing of your eyes and a furrow between your brows, as well as a slight snarling tug of your lip.
“Worthless without my interest.” He continued, and you found it harder to maintain grace. “I’m Caesar and you’re my gladiator – just a pretty puppet on strings – all for my entertainment.” He mused. “I throw a thumbs down, and your carrier is done.”
Your eyes widened at that, faltering where you stood – crumbling in that stance that had been hammered into you through years of religious training to become the very epitome of flawless – now, like an amateur, your heels touched the floor, and your chest collapsed like you’d been shot.
“What’s the matter, Dove?” He cocked his head. “Is it unexpected of me to be so honest?”
You take a moment to assess him, still unsure of his motives. “If you’re so honest… tell me what you want.” You demanded, still wary but tired of being toyed with to the degree it had the feeling of unease outweighed.
He offered another smile. “You know what I want.”

YES YES I hope you enjoy :D
Relax my dear
Tumblr media
PAIRING: Todoroki x gender neutral reader
CONTENT: Fluff/comfort, Todoroki is a sweetheart when you’re stressed
CONTENT WARNING: Reader is called my dear and honey
***********************************************
It was your third year at UA high, and the pressure to succeed began to feel overwhelming. It was always your dream to become a hero, but sometimes the expectations put on you felt like too much. You sat in Todoroki’s dorm, criss cross apple sauce yes I did use that idc on one of his comfortable floor mats as you attempted to get some homework done. You sighed deeply, rubbing your head in irritation of your pent up stress.
“Everything ok?” You nearly jumped as you turned to see Todoroki standing in the doorway. He had the same neutral look on his face like always, but you could tell he was worried from his tone. You gripped your legs and leaned back a bit, shooting him a faint smile.
“Yeah I’m ok, just a bit stressed is all.” He walked in and closed the door behind him, sitting down next to you and gently nudging you to face him.
“What’s on your mind? Do you want to talk about it?” You relaxed at his caring demeanor, his eyes softening as he looked deeply into yours. You couldn’t help the dorky smile that spread across your face, blush painting your face faintly.
“Are you getting sick? You look warm.” You giggled as he placed his hand to your forehead. You leaned forward on your legs to gently peck his nose, earning a flushed grin from Todoroki.
“I’m feeling ok my love, you just make me feel all warm and fuzzy in a good way.” Todoroki held out his hand, cupping one side of your face, his grin now matching yours. His thumb brushed your cheek gently and you melted into his touch, letting your head rest against his palm.
“It’s just…school stressing me out. It’s our last year to become heroes, and I’ve never felt like I lived up to the expectations of this school or any of the other students here. What if I can’t make it as a pro? What if I’m not cut out for something that other people will always outshine me at? What if-“
You were cut off by Todoroki pulling your face close to his with his hand, studying your reactions as he planted kisses all over your face. You tried to continue your rant, but peck after peck had you giggling and squirming, giving up on any negative self talk. You just wanted this moment with him. Both of you smiling like idiots as your boyfriend spoiled you with kisses.
“You’re so cute. It makes me happy when stuff I do makes you smile like that honey.” You hummed happily in response.
“Well I think you’re absolutely adorable Mr. almost pro hero Shotou.” He grabbed your hips and pulled you forward onto him, making you lose your balance. You quickly put your hands on his shoulders for support as he adjusted his position to let you sit on his lap. He wrapped his arms around you, hugging you closely as you returned the gesture. You sighed deeply, this time out of content. You breathed in his scent of slightly burned firewood and sweat, his strong yet gentle hold on you made you feel safe, secure, loved.
“Relax my dear. You are absolutely perfect the way you are. You have worked so hard to be here, and you deserve more than anyone to be a pro hero and show off everything you’ve done to improve yourself. You’re so much stronger than you think, don’t compare yourself to other people when we all have different strengths and differences. You are wonderful, and you are mine. And I deserve someone wonderful, that’s what you said right?” He pulled away to face you for a second, making you pout until he placed a passionate, deep kiss on your lips, running his fingers through your hair.
“Remember, you’re too hard on yourself. You’ll make a wonderful pro, you have all the skills and experience, you just need the confidence. I love you y/n.”
You kissed him again, humming into his mouth as your hands went to cup both sides of his face. “And I you my love. Thank you.”
You ended up falling asleep in Todoroki’s arms as he continued playing with your hair and talking to you in his angel of a voice. He smiled, you looked so adorable when you were completely relaxed and sleeping.
“I love you. I love you so much. So so much.” He whispered to you over and over as you slept, eventually bringing both of you to his bed and holding you close to his chest, spooning you as you both slept peacefully in each other’s presence.

I feel like pro hero Shoto would LOVE pet names (e.i. Darling, sweetheart, sunshine, etc) because his hero name is his first name so everyone calls him that instead of his last name!

Only One Bed | Shoto Todoroki
✰ Pro-hero! Todoroki x reader, aged up characters
Tumblr media
visit my masterlist
Rain pattered on the hood of the taxi. It was dark, the only light coming from the two lights outside the motel. I was tired, for the past two weeks I’d spent my time tracking down a villain with Todoroki, one that proved to be a bit of a pain in my ass.
Todoroki was tired, I felt his fatigue all to well right now. I was relieved when he suggested finding a place other than our cold, and now probably wet, hideout. He paid the taxi fare while I gathered our belongings, dragging them inside. I heard him thank the driver, giving him a respectful bow, before he followed me into the motel.
I stood by our items while Todoroki got us a room. I saw him argue a little with the front desk, then sullenly walk back to me. He held up one room key, and I could see a slight dusting of pink on his cheeks.
“There’s only one room,” he started. I shrugged, but he spoke again. “It’s only one bed...”
I felt my cheeks burning too now, “there’s nothing else?” I asked.
“They don’t have any other rooms, all full. I asked about a cot or matress, but they don’t carry any here.” He explained.
Although it wasn’t ideal, it was still better than our hideout and we were already here, so after some awkward exchanging of words, Todoroki picked up the luggage and brought it to our room.
We had come to a deal, we sleep here for the night, and never speak of it again. We were adults now, Pro Heroes in fact, so this should be nothing.
I changed first, using the bathroom and brushing my teeth. I usually slept in less clothing, but tonight I pulled on pyjama pants and a soft crew neck sweater.
Todoroki went afterwards, changing into his own boxers and a shirt. He was blushing when he came out, and his shirt lifted up slightly when he reached his arm up to scratch the back of his neck.
“Uuhh,” his voice was soft, slightly shaky. “I hope you don’t mind, I usually get warm during the night.”
I nodded before slipping underneath the covers. “It’s okay, let’s just get some sleep and then forget about this by tomorrow night.”
He chuckled a bit and made his way over to me. “Are you sure you’re okay with this?” He asked.
I nodded and then turned out the light once he was under the covers. “Good night, Shouto.”
“Good night, Y/N.”
Slowly sleep came to me, my mind foggy and forgetting the whole situation. When I’d woken up, suddenly I felt hot.
A large arm was wrapped around my body, and I had found myself pressed tightly up against someone. I felt soft breathing on the nape of my neck, and I felt the urge to turn and look at my sleeping partner.
I wouldn’t lie, I did think about waking up this way. Shouto had been a good companion and he was an amazing hero, not to mention he was attractive. I tried to brush the thoughts away and wiggle out of his grip.
Once i was free, still laying next to him, I looked back. His eyes were close shut, split hair was messy and spots of white had been infected with the strands of red that reflected. I felt myself smile, and reach a hand out to touch him.
It wasn’t meant to happen, but I felt my hand brush the strands of red back onto their side, then my palm traveled to his cheek.
“You have soft hands,” I heard him say. My eyes grew wide, cheeks tinted with embarrassment as his eyes opened. A small smile made its way to his lips when I yanked my hand away from him.
“Sorry,” I whispered. “I didn’t mean to, it’s just the strands they were….” I trailed off as I saw his eyes open.
“Can I tell you something?” His arm traveled back to my waist. I nodded, subconsciously moving myself closer to him.
“Anything,” My eyes flickered to his lips.
“You’ve been my partner for years,” he started. “Our agencies have teamed up on multiple missions, more than any other agency.”
I looked back up at his eyes.
“There’s a reason for that,” he spoke calmly. “It’s because despite the way my heart pounds and I can’t focus while you’re around, I just can’t stop thinking about you. When I’m on a mission, on the train, even when I sleep.”
“Todoroki,” I whispered. “Whyre you telling me this?”
“Because, even though we’re just partners, I needed you to know. If this makes you uncomfortable, we can stop, just say the word.” It was his turn to look at my lips. “But Y/N, I’ve wanted to kiss you since we were students at UA, and I really want to kiss you now.”
I closed the distance, bringing his lips to clash with my own. His arm pulled me closer and my own hand touched up his stomach.
After a few seconds, he pulled away. His hand gripped my waist, eyes still closed and lips slightly parted.
“I’ve waited a while to do that,” I told him, a soft chuckle leaving my lips. I saw a smile creep onto his face and his eyes opened finally to look at me.
“Me too,” he said. “You still want to forget about this by tonight?”
“Definitely not.”

Part One
Part of the Twos Company Threes A Crowd series
Rating: T
Pairings: Bakugou Katsuki x fem!reader / Todoroki Shoto x fem!reader / Bakugou Katsuki x Todoroki Shoto / Bakugou Katsuki x fem!reader x Todoroki Shoto
Summary: Katsuki and Shouto have no choice but to move on with their lives after your kidnapping. They graduate, get placements together as sidekicks at an agency that had nothing to do with Endeavor and move into their own place, determined to prove they can make it on their own. They get exposure, climbing up the ranks slowly and getting the attention of sponsors and the public alike. It doesn't stop them for looking for you though. It doesn't stop them from trying to hunt down the man who had taken you from them and left nothing behind but a whole bunch of blood and trauma. They would never stop looking though, not till they got you back. One way or another.
It takes them almost a year before they get their first real lead but then everything really does go to shit.
part two ->
Tumblr media
Katsuki and Shoto moved into their apartment about a month after graduating U.A. It’s nothing fancy, they couldn’t afford it but it did have two separate bedrooms, a small bathroom that just managed to fit a shower in next to the sink and toilet, as well as an open plan living room of a reasonable size and a decent sized kitchen that Katsuki had found adequate. The place is old and outdated though, what with the walls being a weird mix between brown and cream and the carpet covered with some questionable stains that they don’t even try to get off, instead pulling the condemned thing up to expose the wooden flooring underneath. It is affordable though and considering both of them had refused financial help from their families it was the best they could do on their rather meagre savings.
All their furniture is either second hand or had been discounted enough that it didn’t leave them eating those disgusting instant noodles that Shoto liked so much. A lot of the larger items had come from Yahoo auctions, dunce face having offered the site up when Katsuki had been bitching about how much it was costing to furnish an entire apartment for two people. They had managed to get a couch, a coffee table and a TV stand for under ¥5000, all of them in pretty good condition if not a little old fashioned. It was fine though. Just because they were pushing on broke didn’t mean Katsuki would settle for subpar carp. He had even been very vocal about it when he thought people were trying to rip them off, asking for way too much for stuff he considered only fit for the dump. Someone had to. Shoto just handed over whatever people asked for without questioning why the price had gone up ¥100 since the start of the conversation and they really couldn’t afford for that kind of crap to happen more than once.
Yaoyorozu had offered to buy all their furniture for them, high-end shit that Shoto was used to but the half-n-half had turned her down with a firm ‘no’ that no one had the audacity to challenged. They wanted to do this on their own, especially Shoto who wanted out from under his old man’s thumb and accepting handouts from people hadn’t really been either of their style. Katsuki was just proud and stubborn, refusing to admit that he needed help even when it was offered to them. He and the half ‘n’ half would be just fine on their own, even if Katsuki had to sit the idiot down and give him a lecture about how to manage his finances.
So they get the couch, the coffee table and TV stand, as well as two double beds, a couple of dressers, two wardrobes and a matching pair of bedside tables that he and Shoto split between the two of them. Nothing matched but it’s not like the weird mashup of furniture looked out of place in their crappy apartment. It works for them, like the apartments reflecting them because that’s what they are, a weird mashup of styles and personalities that somehow seem to work together. It’s a surprise for everyone, how well the two of them function together, not just as flat mates but as hero partners as well.
Tumblr media
They do argue a lot to start with though. Well Katsuki argues, yelling loudly about things that annoy him whilst Shoto’s face stays irritatingly blank and only offering up the odd sigh or eye roll as evidence that Katsuki is getting to him as much as he is to the blonde. Sure they had lived together in the dorms but it hadn’t been like this. They hadn’t constantly been in each other’s space 24/7, the both of them jostling for space and both under the impression their way is the right way. About a month in, Katsuki even thinks about calling it quits, packing a bag and crashing at the three idiots' place but he quickly shoved that idea aside. It had been hard enough at the dorms but if he had to spend a prolonged amount of time in close quarters with them idiots Katsuki was sure Denki was going to end up dead within the week. So he grits his teeth and bares it, trying to limit his outburst to just serious stuff like the idiot candy cane using a whole bottle of softener on his ridiculously oversized knitwear. Shoto tries too, Katsuki’s patience that is but he does attempt to at least listen when Katsuki’s lecturing him on the correct way to fold and iron clothes because just hanging it up is not acceptable. Ever.
At some point something seems to click and in the end it doesn’t actually take that long for Shoto to learn how Katsuki likes things to be done or for Katsuki to realise when Shoto’s actually being dumb or just a rude little brat who knows exactly how to rile the blonde up and is faking incompetence just for his own twisted amusement. They manage to settle into a routine that works for them both and things get better, a lot better actually. Katsuki does all the cooking, occasionally letting Shoto help with prep but after he manages to burn rice he isn’t actually allowed to cook anymore. In return Shoto acts as a pot wash and takes on the responsibility of washing all their clothes, now that he knows what the acceptable amount of detergent and softener to use and what all the many settings actually mean. They split the house cleaning duties between the two of them, taking it in turns to be responsible for cleaning the bathroom and things like the oven because if Katsuki’s got to suffer through that then so has the candy cane.
The first few months pass by quickly and things continue to get better between the two of them now that they’re settled and comfortable with each other. The tension that had been there to start with eases until it seems to vanish all together and the two of them become truly comfortable with the other without you there between them to act as a buffer for their competitiveness and frustrations. They do feel it though, hard not to considering how big a part of their lives you had become despite the short amount of time they had known you. They don’t talk about it, the sense of loss and anger just simmering away under the surface. They blamed themselves, each other as well and dwelling on it won’t bring you back, nor will taking it out on the other. They had both fucked up and they would carry that guilt with them for the rest of their lives, regardless of if they got you back or not.
Weeks turned into months, their hero work keeping them busy as they try to prove themselves as top contenders amongst the rest of the new heroes on the scene. The apartment becomes a safe haven from the constant struggle and stress of everyday life, both Katsuki and Shoto sagging in relief as soon as they are through the door. They knew it was going to be hard, especially this year. Their class had made quite the name for themselves and it was harder than ever to stand out and be noticed, especially with bloody Deku being the poster boy for everything good and right in the world. They were managing it though, Katsuki and Shoto putting in the hours and work to get the attention of not only the general public but sponsors and fellow heroes as well. They had even gotten a few offers for ads from some no name companies but they had turned them down, both of them wanting their notoriety to come from their hard work and capture rate, not their willingness to let randoms gawk at them on billboards and magazine ads. Unlike some of their friends.
Though Katsuki disapproved of some of their methods and complained constantly about how loud and annoying his friends were he still had them over regularly, willingly letting them into his and Shoto’s home. He willingly lets Denki sprawl across the floor with Hanta, both of them munching on snacks whilst arguing about video games. He doesn’t complain when Eijiro takes up half the couch, Mina curled up at his side or sat on his lap until her own competitive nature takes over and she’s as invested in whatever game they're playing as the rest of them. Sometimes it’s just Eijiro who comes over, though more often than not Mina’s with him and instead of taking over the couch and TV they sit around the burnt and scratched dining table, talking about work and life and any other random topic that comes up whilst sharing a meal that Katsuki had cooked.
They never make Shoto feel unwelcome, Hanta always trying to coax him into joining them on squad nights and Eijiro attempting to draw him into conversations over dinner but though they are friendly they are unmistakably Katsuki’s friends and Shoto understands that sometime he need a break from Shoto’s constant presence in his life, just like he does from Katsuki every now and then. So Shoto either makes his own plans or hides away in his room, giving the blonde his own space and in return Katsuki does the same when Shoto has Izuku, Ochako, Tenya and Momo over though their nights together are normally a lot less loud then when Katsuki’s friend group is over. They also made less mess, the nerd squad actually knowing how to clean up after themselves, unlike Katsuki’s useless lot.
Having people over though was a rare thing, only happening once or twice a month. Hero work took over their lives, everyone working double if not triple shifts in an attempt to build up their careers, though Katsuki and Shoto had less free time than most. Every opportunity they got they spent looking for you, going over every report and scrap of information Detective Evans sent them in an attempt to find something. They never did though, nothing that the police detective hadn’t already found anyway and her whereabouts remained a mystery, one that weighed heavy on everyone involved in the investigation. With every day that went passed any they didn’t get any closer to finding her their chances of doing so went down and before long the search expanded, the investigation team turning their attention to Europe and leaving Japan as well as Katsuki and Shoto behind in hopes to find something that would point them to where you and your old man had disappeared off to. That didn’t mean Katsuki and Shoto stopped looking. They never would. It was their fault you were missing, their fault that you had even been outside the safety of the school. It was because of them that psychotic asshole had the chance to even get close to you let alone snatching you off the street. So they would keep looking until they found something, anything that would lead them to you.
Life continues on that way, winter passing until spring is looming and Valentine’s Day comes creeping up on them again. Katsuki’s angry outbursts get worse and Shoto becomes quieter, the both of them remembering last year when their biggest worry had been if they would get chocolates from you or not. They get worse the closer the romantic holiday gets, the two of them tense and on edge. Shoto barely says a word to anyone, resorting to giving simple one word answers if he has to say something. Katsuki on the other hand snaps and snarls at everyone, yelling at people for the stupidest of things. People avoided them and that suited them just fine. They didn’t need those useless extras getting in their way and slowing them down.
When Valentine’s Day rolled around they took on an extra shift, both of them trying to lose themselves in their work and avoid the guilt they feel when trapped alone in the apartment. It’s a horrible day, the two of them snapping at each other and getting along about as well as they had in their first year at U.A. It’s awkward and uncomfortable, their friends forced to watch as they take out their anger and pain on the only other person who could understand what they were going through. It’s probably why then, when they are at their worst that they finally get a lead on where you are.
The chocolates are a slap in the face, the exact same ones as the year before, left on their desks seemingly by magic. They’re even wrapped the same, black boxes tied with a ribbon, a red one for Katsuki and a blue one for Shoto. It feels like they’re being taunted, some sick bastard playing with them and considering what they now knew about your old man Katsuki wouldn’t be surprised if that was exactly what this was, a taunt at them for having let you go and for failing to get you back. The longer he stares at them the angrier he gets and in his rage Katsuki throws his box halfway across the room, scattering the confections across the floor. Shoto is painfully still, holding his own box in trembling hands and looking down at the box like he’s expecting to open it and find another body part waiting for him. Again, that was a real possibility but considering that nothing like that had fallen out of Katsuki’s box when he tossed it the likelihood of there being a body part in Shoto’s was slim. Then again the sweets themselves could be filled with something horrific, if not parts of you then maybe even blood.
The police are called, a couple of agitated and sleep deprived detectives turning up not half an hour later, confused and agitated about the strange call out. Shoto’s a mess, completely silent as he continued to stand there staring at that stupid little box. Katsuki should have acted soon, should have snatched the thing out of his hands long before the detectives had tried to get him to hand it over but he had been to consumed with his own angry and hate, shouting and screaming and promising pain on the sick fuck who was responsible of this. Shoto lets go of it easily when Katsuki goes to him, tears cling to his lashes as he looks at Katsuki with that same loss and heartbreak as the last time they had received a mysterious box that led back to you.
The police take it away along with all the ones Katsuki had scattered across the office floor, grumbling under their breath about stupid valentine’s pranks but Katsuki’s too focused on Shoto to yell at them about what it really means. They go home, Shoto staying silent the whole time. It’s unnerving but it gives Katsuki something else to concentrate on and he welcomes the distraction like the pathetic coward he is. He’s soft with the other man, slow and gentle as he gets Shoto into the living room and down onto the sofa. Katsuki makes them tea, presses the still hot cup into Shoto’s left hand. They sit in silence for what seems like hours, both of them lost in thought. Katsuki knows it’s probably the same for both of them, that horrific movie running in their heads once more followed by a whole bunch of guilt and hopelessness. Katsuki hates it, feeling so useless and pathetic. He wants to lash out, wants to hit something but most of all he wants to find you and set right what their childish and self-absorbed bickering had let happen.
At some point, once the tea was gone and Shoto had found his way back to reality they start talking. Katsuki’s the one to break the silence, wanting to know if Shoto was ok. It’s a stupid question because clearly he’s not, neither of them are but Shoto still gives a small nod and a mumbled yeah, like all the shit they had been through can just be swept away and forgotten with a cup of tea and an ounce of human compassion. It’s a start though and soon enough they are trying to figure out where the confections had come from and why they had been sent now after almost a year of nothing. The simple answer is that Alexander Vasiliev is fucking with them, driving home the point that they had messed up and gotten someone they cared for hurt at best and dead at worse. It’s the logical answer but something about that doesn’t quite sit right with them. Why now? Why jeopardies his safety just to cause them more pain then he had already inflicted on them? It doesn’t make sense and they stay up late into the night trying to figure it out, the two of them lead side by side in Katsuki’s bed, hands clasped between them and staring up at the ceiling.
As it turned out they only had to wait till the next day to find out why it had all felt kind of off.
They were rudely awoken the next day by a loud pounding in the apartment door that felt like it rattled every door and window in the building. Atsugi hadn’t been surprised to find Shoto still in his bed but he had been to find himself cuddling the other man, Shoto’s back pressed against his chest and Katsuki’s arm slung across his waist. He had been quick to put some distance between them, especially when the banging had finally woken the other man up. Neither of them said anything and that was just fine with Katsuki, the blonde not wanting to think about how comfortable he had felt when he had first awoken.
Detective Evans is waiting on the other side of the apartment door when Katsuki finally yanks it open, barging past and striding into the apartment before Katsuki even gets the chance to yell at him. He’s already talking by the time Katsuki gets back to the living room, a blurry eyed Shoto looking at the older man in confusion. It doesn’t take long to find out what exactly he wants, the detective brandishing a handful of photos of those stupid chocolates. Katsuki can’t believe he missed it but he had been so angry he hadn’t even bothered to look at them properly. If he had then Katsuki would have seen the series of random letters stamped on the bottom of every single one of them.
They spend a good few hours going over the photos, rearranging the letters and searching the variations on the web. It’s mostly pointless rubbish that comes up and Katsuki on the verge of descending into another angry rant about how this was just that asshole Alexander Vasiliev playing more games with them, letting them feel hope for the first time in months only to snatch it away again. He probably would have if the computer hadn’t chosen that exact moment to ping with a result that actually made sense.
It’s an address for some old abandoned warehouses on the outskirts of the city. They’re suspicious, how could they not be? It screamed of being a trap and any other day Katsuki would have agreed with the detective but not today. It was stupid and he couldn’t explain how but he knew it had been you that had sent them, a fact that had been proven a couple of hours later when they managed to get the CCTV for the shop that had sent the sweets. Even before that though Katsuki had known you had been the one to send them, finally finding a way to get the help you desperately needed. Shoto knew it too, Katsuki could tell and they quickly started talking strategies as they planned your rescue. They felt confident, hopeful now that they were so close to getting you back so of course everything went up in flames.
They’re not allowed to go with the raiding party, the whole thing deemed too dangerous for them as still relatively new sidekicks trying to make their mark on society. Katsuki’s anger had exploded out of him like a volcano erupting as soon as the words had left the detective's mouth, his palms crackly as his quirk reacted to his emotions. He actually blasts the door off the meeting room when they are told, cursing every hero present to hell and back before storming out, unable to even stand the sight of the so-called professionals for even a second more. Shoto’s left behind to pick up the pieces, quite literally considering the state Katsuki had left the door in. His mismatched eyes were cold and full of anger as he told them to make sure they bring you back because if they don’t there would be hell to pay and he wouldn’t stop Katsuki from blowing a mountain sized hole in the side of the building. Evans swears that he will but at this point Shoto had lost most of the faith he had in the older man to do so.
They watch the specially selected strike team leave, full of anger and resentment as the mix of heroes and special forces agents stalk through the office. It doesn’t help that Endeavor is part of the team, all confident and surly as he tells them that it’s for the best that they sit this one out. They should leave it to the professionals to bring the scum in, that’s what he said and honestly he’s lucky Shoto doesn’t freeze his feet to the ground and Katsuki doesn’t try to blow his face off because they both know that he isn’t talking about Alexander Vasiliev. It’s obvious that he knows things that they don’t, the two of them kept out of meetings and briefings to the point they barely knew what was happening. They only knew about the planned raid because Evans had thought they deserved to know. A fat lot of good that but of information did them, side-lined as they were and forced to wait for however bloody long it took them to get you back.
The task force has barely left the building before Katsuki starts after them, red eyes ablaze with anger and jaw set in determination. Shoto doesn’t even attempt to stop him, quickly following after the blonde as he heads for the exit. They should have stayed, should have listened to the detective and let them handle it but even knowing what would happen Shoto didn’t think they would have. This was their fault, their mess and they had to make it right. They had to be the ones to get you back because it was their fault you were gone in the first place.
They make it maybe half a block before they come across their first obstacle in the form of an agitated Shinso Hitoshi. The creepy ass zombie wannabe steps out of the dark shadows clinging to the building, right into their path and almost getting his dick frozen and face blower off. Katsuki starts yelling almost instantly, telling the other teen to get lost when he insists that he’s coming with them, like it’s some sort of group project instead of real life. Katsuki is livid, demanding that he leave before Katsuki makes him but Shinso’s resolve never wavers, determined to help his friend despite what Katsuki wanted. Before they get into a full blown argument though Shoto manages to get in between them, his hand pressed against Katsuki’s chest and reminding him that they could use the help considering what your father’s quirk was. Katsuki glares and Shinso over Shoto’s shoulder, the muscles in his jaw twitching but he does give in, reluctantly admitting that he may come in handy considering his quirk.
They hash out a plan as they continue towards the warehouse, Shoto and Katsuki passing on every bit of information they have about the place and what could be waiting for them. It’s then that they find out that Shinso had already known about your past and the man who had taken you. That had hurt, finding out that you had trusted the perpetually tired man with your secrets over them but he had been quick to say it hadn’t been your choice, Shinso using his quirk on within the first week of you being at U.A. He said you had been unsettlingly easy to use his quirk on, not showing any sign of resistance until afterwards. You hadn’t wanted to tell him and after the threat of pain from Aizawa he hadn’t wanted to tell anyone else either. Your friendship had been built in the fact you hadn’t trusted him and his unease of having a convicted murderer amongst the students. The genuine friendship had come later, after a rather brutal heart to heart that had left you a crying mess and Shinso determined to give you at least some semblance of normality before your prison sentence started back up.
Katsuki’s jealous, insanely so. He knows that the shitty zombie wannabe had tricked you into giving that information up but he can’t deny that jealousy and anger twist viciously in his chest at that bastard having known you better than he did. He had been jealous of the purple haired freak since the get go and this just brought it all back to the forefront again. Shoto had been quick to change the subject, directing their attention back to their hastily made plan and how best to get you out. They are all aware that the likelihood of all of them getting out of this unscathed are slim to none but it’s a risk they are all willing to take and despite how much Katsuki hates Shinso he can admit that he is a good fighter, loyal to his friends and willing to take risks when needed. It’s what they need right now and Shoto had been right, annoyingly, they really could do with the help. So he keeps his mouth shut and by the time they make it to the warehouse their plan seems a lot more solid then it had been.
Getting in had been the easy part, the place appearing to have had no security measures in place whatsoever. It screamed trap but they had yet to come across any members of the strike team so they could only assume they had made it safely into the inner parts of the compound. At least that had been the assumption but the further in they got the more evidence they found of a fight. Parts of the wall and floors were scorched, some of it even smouldering still. There were large gouges in the brick as well as what looked like slime dripping from the ceiling and what seemed to be roots bursting through the floor but they were a deep purple with weird glowing and pulsing lumps across them. There were no people though, no bodies of fallen heroes or criminals, not even any blood. It’s worrying and puts them all on high alert, Katsuki’s fingers twitching with his readiness to let off an explosion.
They finally caught up to the strike force about half an hour after they had entered the building, the three of them coming through some side door into the large main area of the building. They’re all just stood there, staring up at one of the suspended walkways and looking like fish in a barrel. Above them a handful of pointless extras circulate but it’s the two people standing at the far end that hold their attention.
Seeing you again should make them happy, should have them both clutching at their hearts and tears in their eyes. That’s not what happens though because as soon as they lay eyes on you they know something is wrong. Your face is blank, your eyes glassy without even a flicker of recognition as you look down at your former teachers and custodians. It’s horrible, like you’re just an empty shell or a puppet on strings, only moving and speaking when the puppeteer demands it. Katsuki wants to scream at you to stop, to demand that pull yourself together and do something but he stays silent, not stupid enough to compromise their position or put them and yourself in danger, no matter how angry he is.
Shoto, Katsuki and Shinso stay mostly hidden at the back, obscured by shadows and able to see everything as it plays out. There’s a lot of talking, Detective Evans demanding that Vasiliev hand himself over whilst the Russian continued to ignore him and make little jabs and mocking comments about how the detective had failed not only with his job but in keeping the promise he had made to you. Endeavor is the first to get bored, his booming voice cutting across the other two men and demanding that the criminals hand themselves over willingly or he would have no choice but to use force. That doesn’t have the desired effect that the number one hero had probably been hoping for. Vasiliev scoffs, promising that Endeavor would be dead long before he could ever lay a hand on him. It’s a threat and a promise, one the man follows through on when he turns to you and tells you to kill them all, his voice ringing with that strange echo that they now recognized as his quirk taking effect.
You moved instantly, wordlessly shedding your jacket before grabbing the railing and vaulting over it, plummeting towards the concrete below. You land on a knee with a crack but your face still remains blank, even as you stand and turn towards Detective Evans and tell him that he had a promise to keep if he wants anyone to make it out of here alive. Shoto’s scared, he can admit that. Your radiating danger and considering how powerful you are he knows that you are capable of carrying out that monster you call father’s command. There’s a pause, the air thick with anticipation as they all wait to see who makes the first move. Predictably it’s Endeavor, stepping forward with a raw of flames that you meet unflinchingly. All hell breaks loose after that.
It had been like something out of a nightmare. The ground blood splattered and the sound of pained cries filling the air. People get hurt, heroes cut down and left for dead amongst the crumbling building. There are other villains involved, low level no one’s that had willingly fallen in line behind the psychotic madman but you don’t seem to care that technically they are on your side. You went after your would be rescuers with a blind determination, unbothered if one of your fathers men got in your way or if the building's stability was affected. It was beautiful and terrifying, the three of them able to see for the first time what you were like as the villain Devoratrix.
The three of them being there wasn’t a surprise, Aizawa huffing about them being problem children and insisting that if they were going to be there they might as well be useful. Detective Evans hadn’t been so accepting, the man threatening to have their licenses suspended for disobeying a direct order. Something Shoto’s price of shit old man second. The fight is too intense though to pass up the help and they have no choice but to let the three of them take up their places amongst the chaos. They don’t get close to you despite how much they try, only catching glimpses as they face off against your old man’s lackeys. The low level villains had been easy enough to subdue, Katsuki and Shoto managing to take down a guy who vomited some disgusting black tar and a woman who looked more lizard than human. He doesn’t know how long the fight lasts but when the dust settles the scale of devastation becomes apparent.
The buildings only half standing, the entire middle of the large room blown out with long towering columns of smoke billowing out into the night sky. Almost everyone is supporting an injury of some kind. One of Aizawa’s eyes is swollen shut, blood dripping down his face and soaking the capture scarf wrapped around his neck. Shinso is supporting him, a large splattering of acid burns down his side, having burnt through his clothes and leaving angry red marks on his skin. Shoto’s got a few scrapes and bruises whilst Katsuki thinks he might have a cracked rib or two. Others hadn’t gotten off so easy. Heroes lay unconscious and bleeding on the floor, some trapped under fallen rubble whilst others tried to get them free. Even Endeavor hadn’t gone unscathed. You broke his leg, eyes cold and uncaring as you stomped down on it with unnatural strength. His raw of pain and outrage hadn’t been loud enough to mask the sickening crack of bone snapping. Most of it had been superficial though, designed to get them out of the fight but not permanently disable them, you somehow managing to get round Vasiliev’s command. Not completely though. There had been one person whose life you hadn’t been able to spare.
The devastation and heartbreak had been clear to see, your face stained with tears as Detective Evans took his last breath, your grip around his neck so tight that it had seemed like the detective's head would pop off. Vasiliev had laughed at your suffering, so callous and cruel but in the end he too had lost his life that day.
Things had moved quickly and you had been summoned to your father’s side as soon as the detective had taken his last breath. Shoto and Katsuki had been quick to follow you, ignoring the shouts of their names as they followed you and that monster out onto the roof. What had followed had been something that neither Katsuki nor Shoto had been ready for. They had fought you before, having sparred at school for trying and in class but this was different. You didn’t hold back, didn’t worry about hurting them because that was the point, your old man had wanted you to hurt them and you had been forced to comply.
It hadn’t lasted though. As soon as you had drawn the first drop of blood you had seemed to freeze, that hazy blankness from your eyes vanishing and being replaced with a kind of horror that neither of them had ever seen before. Whatever control Vasiliev had had on you was gone and even as he screamed and shouted for you to kill them you had remained resolutely disobedient, pleading with the man to stop and hand himself over but he hadn’t listened, growing angrier with every second that passed. When it became clear that you were no longer under his control the villain had turned his cold and manic gaze onto them and Shoto and Katsuki had been lost to the fog of having their minds taken over.
He had never felt such anger before, not even towards his father but when faced with Katsuki all Shoto had wanted was to rip the man limb from limb and he had seen no reason not to. It was a violent and bloody fight, ice and fire roaring across the roof as explosions rock the very foundations of the building and send chunks of concrete and metal flying into the air only to rain down upon them. Flesh gives, bone cracks and still they attack one another like the world depends on one of them finally killing the other.
They hurt you, both of them so consumed with their need to destroy the other that they barely even notice as you cry and beg for them to stop. Katsuki blows a hole in your side and Shoto puts an ice spike the width of a baseball bat through your shoulder and though deep down they both feel the horror and disgust of what they are doing, crying out to stop they can’t. Even when Shoto grabs a fistful of Katsuki’s ripped and charred top, his hand covered in ice and shaped into a dangerous looking spike, raised above Katsuki and ready to pierce his throat Shoto can’t stop and he feels sick with the realization of what he is about to do.
He pulls his arm back, taking a deep breath before bringing it down swiftly, screaming through the fog to stop but his body will not listen, trapped under the control of a man who would torture his so called daughter as punishment for liking a boy. The end of the spike pierces Katsuki’s exposed neck, blood swelling to the surface. He’s going to kill him, Shoto knows it and even although his hand trembles and he has tears streaming down his face and dripping onto the boy below him Shoto can’t force his hand to stop, only managing to slow it down as the blade of ice digs in. Something snaps though, that mind numbing fog disappearing as quickly as it had taken hold of him.
Shoto drops Katsuki to the ground with a horrified cry, stumbling back in an attempt to distance himself from what he had done. Katsuki gasps and coughs, hand pressed against the steadily bleeding wound and looking at Shoto like he doesn’t know him anymore. Slowly as one they turned to look at the place the mad man had been and breathe catches at what they found. You’re crying, cradling the lifeless body of the man you called father in your arms, hands covered in blood and the remains of an ice spike melting at your feet.
It doesn’t take a genius to work out what you had done to save Katsuki and Shoto’s lives.

Pffffft can you imagine barbarian Bakugo and his clan bringing a whole parade to dabi’s kingdom to celebrate the readers period, meanwhile keigo’s eye is twitching as he ~screams~ gently asks for the whole clan to leave the kingdom
It's gotta be one of those times when Dabi was away on royal business, leaving his kingdom behind in Shotou's care, the instructions of keeping you, his most prized treasure safe went without saying.
Shotou assured his older brother that he will take care of you, as did concubine Keigo, which Dabi rewarded him with a quickie.
You were still asleep when Dabi came in your room to bid you goodbye, so he kissed your forehead and left a letter to notify you of his departure.
Only days later your period started, and while you were in bed, groaning in pain and absolutely in no mood to deal with your father's slut, servant Tomura tried his best to make you comfortable. Fluffing up your pillows, getting the maids to make more pads, having the palace chef make your favourite food.
But it seemed that your hormones prevented you from enjoying anything, and all you could do was cup your tummy and stay in bed, frustrated whenever you felt yourself bleed.
It felt disgusting.
Tomura just sighed as he sat in your dimly lit room quietly, embroidering your clothes. He offered to massage you aching legs, but you did not want to be touched, just wanted the sheets to swallow you up and spit you out a week later.
All of a sudden, there was loud commotion outside. You raised a brow at the disturbance, and Tomura was already out for the door to check it.
He walked towards the palace entrance, where concubine Keigo (dressed in a silk gown, like a little slut) and Prince Shotou (wearing his robes) were already standing with guards and servants. Tomura gave them a quick bow and he didn't need to ask before Shotou replied.
"Bakugo and the barbarians. They're here, at this time of the night." Shotou said, brows slightly furrowed as he wondered if they were under attack. A servant quickly brought over his crown and his sword.
"Guards, brace yourself. Be ready for anything." He then looked at Tomura. "Princess Y/n is the priority."
Tomura nodded, already preparing an escape route for you should things go south.
"Open the doors." Shotou ordered.
As the doors opened, everyone held their breath. Only to be visibly confused when he saw the barbarians dancing around, cheering and clearly drunk our of their mind. And to lead them all, Katsuki Bakugo rode on his horse, a lazy smile on his face.
He got off his horse, walking towards Shotou before a guard stopped him just a couple of feet away.
"That's close enough." The guard said.
Katsuki glared at the guard's audacity, but decided to let it go this time.
Katsuki huffed, before raising his hand.
And just like that, the rest for his clan came to a halt, dropping whatever they were doing and waiting for their leader's next command.
Katsuki stared into Shotou's eyes, and the Prince had no idea what was going through this crazy, uncivilised brute's head.
Katsuki then bowed, and his clan followed, bowing to Prince Shotou.
When he rose back up, Shotou nodded in acknowledgement. "How may I help you, Bakugo?"
The barbarian prince smirked, knowing damn well he was irritating him. "We heard the news."
"What news?"
Katsuki snickered. "The princess bled."
The instantaneous grim look that the entire palace shared was comical.
"And?"
Katsuki shrugged. "And we have come here to celebrate it. It is a tradition among the barbarians to celebrate their females first period. So, why don't you get the princess to come down and join us? It's rude to turn away your guests."
Keigo's eye twitched. "Princess Y/n is asleep." Shotou said. "And while it is rude to turn away guests, it is even more rude to come uninvited and uninformed."
Katsuki scoffed. "Oh, but I did inform the palace I was coming."
"And you were told not to come!" Keigo interrupted. "I sent back a letter telling you not to come!"
Bakugo feigned shock. "Oh? What letter? I didn't receive any letters from the palace. I just thought that when I sent the letter to the palace, it was you who got it, right Prjnce Shotou?"
Shotou remained stoic, but you could see the irritation in his eyes when he realised that concubine Keigo took the letter, read it and then wrote back, instead of giving the letter to Shotou.
Keigo interfered with palace matters again. Stuck his nose where it doesn't belong and look where it got them.
He'll deal with him later. For now, he needs to control the situation at hand before it starts becoming apparent that there is a power imbalance in the palace.
"I see. However, it is late and the princess is tired-"
"Katsuki?" You called from the top of the stairs, eyes confused and still a little sleepy. "What are you doing here?"
Katsuki smiled warmly at you. Its as if at the sight of you melted away any malice he held for your family, along with creating doubts and troubles among them.
You walked down the stairs, past your uncle Shotou towards your blonde friend. The commotion had woken you up and when Tomura didn't return, you were concerned.
"Hi, princess." Katsuki greeted, taking your hand and kissing it, and he could hear the way the palace guards stiffened up at his close proximity (and breaking Royal protocol).
"Hello." You greeted back in a small voice, body still in pain and fatigue. "What are you doing here? Everything okay?"
Katsuki looked into your eyes, as if it was just you two alone in the world. "I came to see you. Heard you were feeling a little under the weather, so I came over to see what I can do to help. And-" He then pulled out a bright ruby and gold necklace from his pocket. "Its a dragonstone amulet, to protect you against evil and promote good health during your time of the month."
"Oh... Kats, its beautiful." You whispered, letting him put it on you.
"So, will you celebrate with us?" Katsuki asked. You pondered, eyes still fixated on the amulet.
"I am hungry." You looked back at Shotou. "Can we, uncle Sho?"
-
Within 30 minutes, the palace was bustling again late at night, the palace kitchen hurrying to make one dish after another because these barbarians and there weren't enough cows in the world to match their appetite.
After Bakugo made sure you ate well (he softly glared at you until you finsihed every single bite he fed you), he pulled you along with him to main floor, waltzing to music. He had took time to learn all kinds of royal dances for you, and it was about time he showed them off. You laughed heartedly as Katsuki spun you around, his clan cheering you two on. And when Katsuki placed his hand on your lower back to pull you in, you all but leaned into him as his touch soothed the ache in your lower back. Katsuki's warm, rough, muscular body felt like a heavy blanket against your cold, aching body. Like a warm cocoon, Katsuki wrapped his buff arms around you and swayed slowly, and your lolled right onto his chest.
It was simply perfect.
Shotou simply watched the two of you as he sipped from his chalice, wondering which hand of Katsuki he'll chop off first should he get the chance. Suddenly, concubine Keigo appeared beside him.
"Shotou, I did send him a letter back informing him not to come to the palace-"
"Prince Shotou." Shotou said, his tone barely containing his anger. "You had no right reading Bakugo's letter, let alone writing back to him. Do you know why? Because you are not a part of this palace, you do not belong to this palace, you do not belong to this kingdom." Shotou said, the wine in his chalice starting to heat up. "You are my brother's, King Dabi's concubine. You belong to him and that's all. He may allow you to prance around like you own this place, but I assure you, with a flick of his wrist, he can throw you out too. So don't expect me to extend you the same courtesy of deluding yourself as my brother does."
Keigo remained silent because uptil now, he didn't think Shotou hated him. He just thought he was indifferent to his presence.
Boy, was he wrong.
Shotou watched you chuckle as Katsuki whispered something in your ear. And while your protective uncle may not like Katsuki touching you, he did appreciate the colour coming back to your life, the miserable state of yours now being replaced with one of joy.
He only allowed the barbarians in because you asked, and Shotou would've done anything to help you feel even a little better in your condition.
Even if it was at the hands of that hooligan Katsuki.
Keigo watched as Shotou's wine lit up on fire. Shotou scoffed before using his other hand to freeze the wine, before using a napkin to dab his lips.
"Make no mistake, concubine Keigo-" Shotou said, staring at you and Katsuki before letting his napkin burn to ashes in his hand. -this is all your fault."
Tumblr media
Oh yeah, Katsuki definitely murdered the poor messenger who brought him Keigo's letter. And when news of a celebration got to young empress Momo, she was pissed because she could've celebrated your period instead. She could've been waltzing around with you instead of that idiot Bakugo.
Poor you though. You're gonna be punished by your dear friend Momo's jealousy. Be prepared and beware🥰

Shoto had no idea what he was feeling
Romance was the last thing on his mind, and yet it seemed to smack him in the face right when he least expected it
As the eldest child in a bloodline of high-ranking heroes, you and he were very similar in social status
Which meant you two knew each other from a young age
You found you cared a lot about him
And quickly took it upon yourself to care for him where his family had failed
You made it your life goal to protect him
You would become a hero for him
--- “Shoto?” You asked, interrupting the silence.
He hummed in response and turned to you.
“When we become pro heroes, I intend on staying by your side,” You said, since it was on your mind.
“Why? Surely that would only limit you?” He asked, his brows furrowing slightly.
“Heros are protectors of the people, and I cannot imagine I would be a good hero without you,” You explained, picking your words carefully but speaking with the same confidence.
Shoto raised an eyebrow.
“And I cannot risk losing you…” ---
You secretly get flustered around him
And while you didn’t show it outwardly, Shoto noticed something odd about how you were acting
He was worried he made you uncomfortable
But he too felt… some way about you
He didn’t know what way, but it made him happy
He smiled around you more, and loved being physically close
Even if he just stood slightly closer to you
But to everyone else, the two of you are a very serious duo
You often don’t even need to talk to communicate
And your telepathy confuses all the people around you
Especially in combat training
If you two were on the same team, needless to say it was swift and silent
If you were on opposite teams, keeping your plans from each other was difficult
--- “(y/n),” Iida said through the earpiece, “I’m close to the target but be careful, the villains should be just around the corner-”
You took the turn cautiously but found yourself stopping only centimetres away from Shoto’s face. Neither of you spoke, mostly too surprised to.
You raised an eyebrow at Shoto, and he tilted his head in response.
“They intended to split us up, I’m with (y/n), but Iida seems close to the weapon,”
“You weren’t supposed to know that…” You said, sighing before taking a battle stance. ---
But Shoto loves those interactions
Even if he despised his fire side, your encouragement is all he needed
He didn’t want to use his fire? That’s okay as long as he doesn’t hurt himself
He wanted to use his fire? Go for it! Just be careful using fire and ice in combination
Though it was something he spoke about rarely
In fact, you were just about the only person he goes to with personal matters
You know far more than anyone else and understand him more than anyone else
-That’s why he loves you-
Wait, no, he’s still in denial about that one
Or maybe he really is just that dense
--- “According to Mina, people who are ‘just friends’ don’t hold hands and hug,” Shoto said one day from the blue.
“So what does that make us?”
You thought about it for a moment. Friends hug, of course they do. And hold hands? Maybe less so, but it’s still a thing friends do.
“Of course friends can do those things,” You said, “I believe they are not limited to a specific type of relationship?”
“She said it was the way we did them” Shoto replied as he sat down next to you.
“Interesting…” You mumbled as you slipped your hand in his, “I’ll ask her about it tomorrow.” ---
-Mina wouldn't sut up about it the next day-
But expect Endeavour to have some plans
You’re strong, and your quirk is versatile
So even if he doesn’t like you, he’ll still support the relationship
Which Shoto doesn’t like at all
Not because he doesn’t want the support, but because of the reasons for doing so
Honestly, as soon as you can, the two of you are cutting that man off
For good

You sit alone in the silence of the night by the beach... It was just the sound of ocean and the waves were quite that day even the ocean was silent. Everything was peaceful expect there was a war going on in your head... N you thought only you acknowledged it...
The silence was disturbed by the voice of footsteps on the sand..
You didn't turn around to look at the person standing beside you... You didn't even flinch because you knew exactly who that was...
" Katsu-" You turn to look at him
But to your surprise it wasn't him
It was the person you were least expecting
"I wish" He says quietly
You freeze at his statement with heavy tension weighing on your shoulder
"I- I wasn't expecting you here"
He hums
"Me neither" He says
"I was thinking of you" You say nervously
"Me and him" You were startled by the words You never thought he'd ever say
You were almost to scared to form a response
Yet "you knew?" Were the only words that managed to escape your mouth
"Always"
" I'm sorry" You never looked at him your eyes were fixated on the sunset scenery before you
"Sorry for what?"
" For falling in love?"
You accepted his words
"This isn't natural- this is- I'm not suppose to be in love with two ppl at the same time"
" Could you help it though?" He says stepping a bit closer
" No"
He hums
By now the sun was set n the moon was upright shining in your eyes
" Isn't the moon lovely" He asks now looking for your eyes
This made you feel warm inside
You stayed silent not wanting to respond to his indirect confession
"It's too late, we're engaged"
"Too bad I never learnt to give up" That makes you chuckle
He sits down next to you, his voice almost emotionless with everything he said
After a couple of minutes of complete silence you finally break it
" You know I never thought about it so deeply" You say holding his hand tightly
"About what?"
"Death" With that he looks at you n you look at him, eyes locked with his never looking away
You both get up now gripping each other's hands tightly
"Why do you still love me?, after all I've done"
"I wish I knew"
You both step into the cold sea holding each other's hands as if holding on for dear life
You both starts to sink into the sea
And you heard a distend voice snd as you recognised it you stood still in utter terror realising what you were about to do as if coming back to your sense
Tears immediately forming your eyes
You realized how you were gonna throw it all away, him your and his future and his unborn baby. You were soon to be a mother and you wouldn't wanna kill the fetus in you..
"L- let's go back" You quickly untie your grip on his hand shaking and petrified
He knew it was him, he knew why you suddenly changed your mind n that's what made him stand by his decision because he knew it was too late, there's no going back at least for him now.
He now pulled you closer with a death grip on your hand
" It's too late, there's no going back now, we're far" He says
" No sho- let me go, I'm I'm pregnant" You tried yanking his hand
" I don't care"
"If I can't have you no one else can"
You were left shocked by his words it wasn't like him he would never do that this isn't him at all it's like he's possessed or something, you don't want to believe it, anything that's happening right before your eyes is so hard so swallow...
" I'd just rather die now" You thought to yourself but a part of you wanted to live too..
A part of you wanted a future with katsuki
A part of you wanted to die here with shoutou
You saw katsuki stepping into the water to get you and you promptly got rid of his grip on your hand
" I'd rather die than not have you as mine"
"Die then"
Those were your last words to him before you began trying to break free out of the water
" Why him, of all people?"
"Why not me"
You heard him say his possible last words
You never once looked back
You knew you are losing him to the unchangeable deep sea
You knew it's the last time you'll ever hear his voice
The voice that you thought was the most attractive
The voice you longed to hear
"The voice you thought you'd die with"
But you didn't care
Because katsuki was there for you
Because he's everything you'd ever wanted
And you couldn't care less about anyone as long as his yours
As long as you have him by your side
You wouldn't care if the world's on fire
All for him
You unconditionally loved him
And you promised yourself
You always will
Til your last breath
You were cunning
And it's all for the sake Bakugou katsuki.

Bounce

Summary: Trying to juggle hero class, very protective classmates along with their families which included multiple pro-heroes and your teachers who seemed to be incredibly extra attentive around you was hard enough - but at least they seemed to keep each other in check so that you were able to live on kind of normally, while being bounced around between them. Hopefully, no one comes around and ruins that delicate harmony...

TW: Yandere, Dark content, kidnapping, manipulation, mentions of planning a murder, violence, swearing (thanks to Bakugo), Obsessive behaviour, I do not condone this, this is all fiction, tell me if I missed something - also this is not proofread so there's probably a lot of mistakes that I'll fix sometimes in the future

Ever since you've started attending U.A., your life has become incredibly exhausting. Now, one would think 'Of course attending the top pro-hero school in the country would be exhausting, what did you expect? A walk in the park? Idiot.', but to this person you'd say that they were right. You hadn't expected U.A. to be easy, you really would have to have been stupid to do so, but the actual school wasn't the problem. Sure, classes were challenging sometimes and the training was working you to the bone some days, but you were able to live with that - after all, you had known that it would be hard when you had signed up for it, but what you hadn't known was that you'd somehow become the pet project for not one, not two, not three, but four pro-heroes, three hero-students and two overprotective suburban moms.
When you had started school, you had expected to kind of merge with the masses. After all, your quirk wasn't really anything flashy, your family didn't include any famous heroes or rich business moguls, and you weren't one to thrive with attention directed at you. Now as someone who joined the school later in the semester for personal reasons, you knew there would be some spotlight on you for a few weeks, but you also thought that there'd already be established friend groups and connections, so once the natural curiosity of a bunch of teens was satiated, you'd be able to just go the rest of your school days in peace and quite on your own. So imagine your surprise when after an entire month of being in class 1-A, the three most popular (and probably most promising) students of the class seemed to be glued to your side, and along with them their respective friends.
Izuku, you learned after a few days, was the kind of person who was probably predetermined to make friends with any new person he met, as he even tried to be friends with the boy who bullied him relentlessly - but with you, he seemed to drive that up a notch. He was interested in literally every word you said, started to have what seemed to be an entire chapter dedicated just to you in his notebook and soon that escalated to what seemed to be an entirely separate book just for information about you. But Izuku was a little weird in the very best way possible, so you didn't mind too much, he was funny and tried to respect your personal space and need for alone time - even though he seemed to think alone time meant that he was just sitting silently beside you while you were allowed to do something you usually would do completely alone, like writing in your diary or calling your parents. Honestly, you were surprised that he let you go on the toilet alone (even though on some days the second you went out to leave for the bathroom, someone from his friend group or he suddenly seemed to need to use the bathroom as well.
Shotou surprised you with how clingy he seemed to be, after all, from what you had heard from people from other classes and from how he seemed the first time you had met him he wasn't really the most sociable person. As far as you knew, he was only part of a friend group because Izuku had latched onto him and had refused to let go until he had become one of his friends by association. So, again, it was quite surprising when he seemed to initiate interactions with you as often as possible, be it insisting that you studied with him, that you joined him while making dinner in the dorms, sitting down beside you during lunch, or just silently sitting in the corner of whatever room you happened to be with and staring. The last one was definitely creeping you out, but after Izuku had told you about all the horrible things that had happened to Shotou (later he would definitely deny any accusations of manipulating you into being more accepting of his friend's stranger behaviours) you felt too bad to confront him about it. Still, Shotou was a lot more up to your speed when it came to how calm and quiet he usually was, so you didn't have all that many complaints about his constant presence, especially since he and Izuku got along great which made hangouts mostly peaceful.
The same decidedly could not be said about Bakugo. Bakugo was a chaotic and destructive force to be reckoned with. He was brash, loud, opinionated and (sometimes) violent - basically, he was everything you usually tried to avoid. Bakugo did not like that - not one bit. He insisted that he was 'the best f**king person in this f**king place to hang out with and he was better than any of these sh**ty extras so you should be happy he even wanted to be your friend, now shut up and let him cook your favourite meal." It was safe to say that spending time with him was usually very stressful for you - at least when Izuku and Shotou were there, which was almost always because he could not hold back on insulting them, screaming that he was the only person who had any right to hang out with you and that he was more than enough to protect you - the question about what they thought you needed protection from was always more or less elegantly deflected. Curiously, it turned out that Bakugo was able to act very differently when it was just the two of you - he was still very brash and slightly aggressive, but he became a lot quieter, and a lot more thoughtful too. When it was just the two of you - for example after he picked you up like a sack of grain when the others were distracted (by his friends usually) and locked the two of you up in his room, he allowed you to quietly read a book or draw or do the things you usually didn't have the calm to do while he studied at his desk, insisting you make yourself comfortable in his bed wearing one of his jumpers.
You figured sooner or later your teachers would figure out what was going on and intervene, but your homeroom teacher especially seemed to go in a different direction. In fact, he seemed to support their friendship with you - telling you that they were the best suited in class to protect you when he wasn't around (again, no explanation as to what you'd need protection from). He insisted that you spent at least one break every few days in class with him so he could 'supervise your progress and help you with especially difficult material', paid a lot more attention to you in class than anyone else, let you get away with forgetting homework or slacking off during training, always pair you up with someone who he'd knew wouldn't let you get hurt and who'd make sure you get a good grade, and you seemingly always got better grades than the students who did just about the exact same thing as you. Honestly, you didn't really have a reason to complain at first, but then the breaks spent with him turned into breaks spent with him and his husband Hizashi (sometimes joined by Shinsou who also seemed to be close to you whenever you left the classroom during breaks, but never really talked that much).
Now the three of them (along with their friends whom the three seemed to colour off on) and your teachers were already hard enough to handle, but they seemed to be happy as long as you spent the same amount of attention on all of them and didn't actively play favourites - even though they always insisted to be the favourite when talking to each other. This delicate alliance was broken though, when Izuku invited you to stay with his mother during an elongated weekend at home - and when he gave you his puppy eyes and let you listen in on a call with his mother where she sounded so incredibly excited at the prospect of her little boy bringing a friend home with him, you just couldn't say no. The weekend was actually very nice, his mother was such a kind woman and she treated you like her own child. Actually, she probably treated you better - she made sure everything was perfect for you, she only made your favourite foods (thanks to Izuku's intel), she made sure your bed was always fluffy, your room was always the ideal temperature, the shower in the guest bedroom always had the right water pressure, and everything the tree of you did was something that you'd enjoy. Sure, she could be a little overbearing, but given that your own family had never really cared about you that much it was really refreshing.
At least it was for the very first time, turns out being cared for 24/7 was a lot less refreshing when there were like a dozen people trying to do it at the same time. Given their rivalry, it was only natural that once Bakugo and Shotou (and Aizawa) found out about your little trip to Izuku's childhood home, they insisted that now you just had to come visit their families as well. And so you started being bounced from one family to the other. Gone were the weekends spent chilling in the dorms and getting to have at least some time to yourself, instead you rotated through four different homes - none of them yours, even though the families in them would vigorously insist that you were the most important 'resident' in it. And so you found yourself in the Bakugo residence, getting pampered by Misuki and Masaru, having your clothing thrown away and replaced by custom-made ones by them, and getting to enjoy being around the (slightly) calmer version of Katsuki.
Or you found yourself in the Todoroki's house, surrounded by his siblings and his parents - his mother seemingly wanting to forget that you were not her child as she treated you like one of her own, even insisting on you letting her or Enji tuck you in no matter how often you tried to tell them that you were actually not a child anymore (not that they wanted to hear that). Enji wasn't home a lot, but he made an attempt to be home as often as he could when he knew you'd be there, causing a vague tension between his family, but no one wanted to say it out loud since you actually enjoyed when he was there (since he not only spoilt you, not shying away from any expense but since he was also the one who was most likely to let you trips with his family - the others preferring to keep you all to themselves inside) and he sometimes brought Hawks along who always made sure you had a fun time since he kind of took on the role of a cool uncle.
The family that was probably most up your lane was the family of your teachers. Aizawa and Yamada cancelled each other's energy out for the most part, so it actually felt like spending time with a normal family, not to mention that their little daughter Eri had really grown on you, insisting that you were her younger sister (you didn't bother to correct her after the first few times, assuming that she was just using the logic a little child would use) and their son Shinsou would usually help you out whenever you needed some alone time by agreeing to play with Eri for half an hour if you agreed that you'd cuddle with him and the family's cats and kittens later - honestly you saw it as a win-win.
With all of these people wanting you to pay attention to them or wanting you to spend time with you all the time, it was no wonder that you were exhausted, but honestly, you were just happy that they got along fine enough to accept the 'schedule' and routine that had arisen from the chaos because you had overheard them talking about just how willing they were to go probably too far to keep you around. Usually, you'd probably gone to the police the moment you first heard Bakugo threaten Shinsou that he'd blow up his cat if one of them ever scratched you or when you heard Hawks and Enji talk about how they'd be able to permanently incapacitate Aizawa and Yamada if they ever needed to, but a) you were never alone, so when would you be able to and b) people tend not to believe that some of the most famous heroes and their children would ever be so obsessed with someone as unassuming as you. So, you just made do with the cards you had dealt to you, just happy about the little bit of free time and privacy you had left.
While you were so preoccupied with keeping these opposing forces at bay that you hadn't noticed some different, unknown, foreboding pairs of eyes on you whenever you were out in public. One Sunday evening in a nice restaurant as you spent the last of your weekend with Midorya, his mother, and All-might who had insisted on joining, to get to know his successor's new best friend and one of his favourite students better, you excused yourself to go to the bathroom and when you came out of the stall, you felt a pinch in your neck and everything turned black.
When you woke up in a dingy bar surrounded by people you had seen only when they had tried to attack your school and kill your friends, with the girl you knew liked to stab people having you lie with your head in her lap as she brushed her hands through your hair - your hands were tied behind your back with silk so there was sadly not a lot you could do about it - and the guy who liked to burn everything around him insisting on covering you with enough blankets to keep you warm to make sure you wouldn't get sick while insulting everyone and everything around him. It was safe to say that you knew that should you get out of the League of Villains lair again, you could probably say goodbye to any time spent alone and most likely to any outing where there weren't at least two pro-heroes protecting you.
A/N: Day 9 of my Yandere Writetober, Special thanks to @sol565 for the inspiration for this story, without them, I would probably not have been able to write what turned out to be the longest story on this blog so far and I really enjoyed writing it so lots of love and lots of thanks ❤️❤️❤️ Tomorrow's word is 'Fortune'

Shouto had learned a lot from his Father; how to take a hit, how to pull himself back up, and how to hold a grudge.
But one thing Endeavor could never teach his children was how to be a good partner.
Shouto had to learn that particular skill the hard way.
---
He had spent long, sleepless nights reflecting on the things you had told him; the reasons you left. Every moment of your acquaintance was turned over repeatedly in his head and examined until one devastating conclusion was reached:
"I was a bad boyfriend," Shouto muttered dejectedly, idly picking at the label of the shochu bottle in the middle of the table.

A story where Shouto loves, loses, and learns.

Shouto's deployment lasted far longer than he would have liked.  They had managed to suppress the blazes in under a week.  Heroes with fire based Quirks set about burning long stretches of untouched vegetation to create firebreaks while ice and water elemental Quirks worked on suppressing and extinguishing blazes that tried to jump the firewalls.
It was exhausting work, but the hard labor and long hours kept him from thinking about his newly single status during the day and ensured that he was too tired to dream after he fell into his cot at night.  They had been packing up, ready to return to Japan when the call from his PR team came in.
Animal rescue workers had found a juvenile Koala injured in the blaze, the skin around its left eye seared by a falling branch while it tried to escape to safety. They wanted him to come in and do a photoshoot to raise funds for the wildfire relief fund, the two of them a matching reminder about the lasting damage fire leaves behind.
The original run of promotional materials were wildly successful and Shouto found his return flight pushed back again and again; a never-ending cycle of talk show spots and community appearances with Kodoroki (which had been the winning name in an online poll by a landslide).  As much as Shouto disliked being in the center ring of the media circus, the worst part of the entire ordeal was having to call his Father every few days to inform him of his further delays.  Endeavour had agreed to watch over Shouto's agency in his absence, and while he was long retired and unable to do any of the field work, his Father was a competent executive and everything was always in good working order upon his return.
The first photoshoot with Kodoroki had been an awkward affair, neither Shouto nor the koala quite sure what to make of each other.  But as the weeks dragged on they had become more comfortable and Shouto found himself looking forward to being reunited with his little burned buddy each morning; greeting the young koala with a smile and eagerly awaiting the moment when his handlers would pass him into Shouto's awaiting arms.
"Morning, Kodoroki," Shouto smiled, taking the joey into his arms while the photography team circled around him went wild.  "This is going to be our last day together, so let's make it a good one, okay?"
Kodoroki yipped in response, his claws wrapping around the belts slung around his shoulders as he clung to Shotou’s chest.  Having grown up without pets, Shouto had never understood why so many people were drawn to animals.  But after spending so much time with Kodoroki and experiencing the warm comfort an animal could provide he thought that maybe he was starting to understand the appeal a little.  His heart always felt a little bit lighter when Kodoroki was in his arms.
"Maybe I should think about getting a pet when I get home," Shouto mused, shifting his grip on Kodoroki in between photos with the group of waiting politicians hovering around the corner of the room.
"Not a koala though.  You're kind of stinky," Shouto crinkled his nose while tapping Kodoroki's forehead.  "Also, I'm fairly sure keeping you would be illegal."
Unimpressed, Kodoroki grunted indignantly before releasing a particularly ripe fart that left the Senator next to him gagging.
"See? This is what I'm talking about, Kodoroki," Shouto coughed, fanning the air in front of his face while one of the handlers cracked a window open.  "You're not meant for polite society."
Tumblr media
Shouto had been so used to coming up with reasons to visit Deku's agency to see you that it was strange to shift out of that mindset.  Sidekicks were sent to retrieve paperwork, meetings were attended via video call, and everything else was shoved into emails routed directly to Deku's personal devices.
But having to visit the Number One Hero's agency was inevitable in their line of work.  So with his shoulders set in false confidence, Shouto forced a neutral expression onto his face and set out towards Deku's office.  He had practiced this greeting in his head a thousand times; what he'd say, how you'd respond, wondering if you'd be happy to see him.  Or mad.  Or sad, like he was.
He felt like he had prepared for every eventuality except the one he was confronted with: someone who wasn't you.
"Ah, hello?" He greeted the stranger, a bleary eyed man who looked like he hadn't had a good night's rest since the day he was born. Energy bar wrappers were scattered across the surface of your- his , desk and the small wastebasket beside him was overflowing with crushed coffee cans.
"Hello, Hero Shouto," the man yawned, covering his open mouth with his hand and bobbing his head in Shouto's direction. "Deku is expecting you.  You can go ahead and enter.  After knocking, obviously.  Everyone should knock," the man whispered, his eyes dipping shut as he slumped down in his chair.  "Knock…knock…"
"Of course," Shouto agreed softly, lightly rapping on Deku's door before slipping inside.
"Shouto!" Izuku cheered, lunging out of his chair to throw his arms around his friend in a crushing hug.  "It's been too long!  It's so good to see you!"
"It has been," Shouto agreed, patting his friend's back stiffly, always unsure about what to do with his hands in situations like this.
"So," Izuku began awkwardly, pulling back from the too-long embrace with a pained grimace on his face.  "How're you holding up?  Since, well… you know."
"Not great, honestly," Shouto sighed, picking at a loose thread at the cuff of his uniform.  "It's been hard without her.  Really hard.  I didn't realize just how much of my life revolved around her until it suddenly didn't."
His eyes watered, despite his best effort to hold things together.  "I really miss her.  And as nervous as I was to come here, I was also looking forward to seeing her- making sure she was alright."
"I'm sorry," Izuku sighed, running a hand through his hopelessly tousled hair.  "She asked for a temporary transfer to another department while things…settle down between you guys.  She didn't want to make it harder for you, having to see her all the time."
Shouto was roughly struck by how much he both loved and hated your thoughtfulness at this moment in time.
"Takai down in Accounting agreed to take her on for a while and sent up his guy to replace her," Izuku explained, eyeing the door to his office worryingly, the distant sound of sobbing filtering in through the cracks.  "I'm…not sure he's adjusting well to the switch.  It's a bit more stressful than he's used to, I think."
Tumblr media
His friends had assured him that the pain he was feeling would fade with time, that he needed to be patient and eventually he'd begin to heal.
So, he waited.
He waited to stop anticipating your cheerful greeting with bated breath when he came home after work each night.  He waited to stop reaching over to your side of the bed at night, desperate to feel the familiar press of your skin against his.  He waited for the urge to text you pictures of things he saw on patrol to pass, knowing how much you'd love to see how much the tagger on the East side of the city had been improving.
Shouto waited and waited and waited , but if anything the time spent away from you just seemed to compound his misery instead of alleviate it.  He spent long, sleepless nights reflecting on the things you had told him; the reasons you left.  Every moment of your acquaintance was turned over repeatedly in his head and examined until one devastating conclusion was reached:
"I was a bad boyfriend," Shouto muttered dejectedly, idly picking at the label of the shochu bottle in the middle of the table.
"I'm sure that's not true," Yaomomo consoled him, reaching across the booth to pat his hand comfortingly.
"I was ," Shouto whined, slumping down in his seat so Mina could pass a drink to Ochako over his head.  She was only mildly successful and ended up spilling some of her cocktail into his hair.
"Whoopsie!  Sorry about that, Shouto!" Mina grimaced, taking a hold of her cocktail glass with another hand to steady her grip while Ochako sipped from an unreasonably long crazy straw.
"It's fine," Shouto sighed as another glob of frozen margarita hit his head and began sliding down his neck.  "I probably deserve it anyway for the way I treated her."
"Okay, look.  Maybe you weren't a good boyfriend," Mina said, dropping down in her seat while Yaomomo shot her a disapproving glare.  "I don't know, I wasn't there.  But you can't keep beating yourself up over this- it's not healthy!"
"Right!" Ochako chimed in while indicating to the waitress she wanted two of whatever Mina was drinking.  "You made mistakes, but you acknowledge that you were in the wrong.  That's growth, Shouto!"
"Maybe," Shouto said mulishly, tearing the corner of the label he had been picking at fully off the bottle.
"Did you apologize?" Yaomomo asked softly, taking a dainty sip from her wine glass.
"No, I haven't.  We haven't talked since my Australia mission," Shouto explained as he tore his strip of label into tiny pieces of confetti.  "Do you think I should?"
"Do you feel like you have something to apologize for?" Yaomomo inquired as she tucked a lock of hair behind Jiro's ear, tracing a finger gently down her elongated lobe.  Jiro, who was totally sober but utterly exhausted, had ended up falling asleep with her head on the table despite the raucous atmosphere of the bar they occupied.  Shouto watched, utterly transfixed at the natural show of casual intimacy, and couldn't help but remember your silent disappointment every time he dropped your hand and stepped away when his friends entered the room.
Is this what he had been so afraid of?  His friends seeing how much he cared for you?  It had felt so important at the time, keeping you tucked away into the private facets of his life, that he didn't even consider what he was missing by doing so.  Would you have looked at him that tenderly?  Found little ways to touch him in public to let him know you cared?
Shouto had been so worried about showing vulnerability to the people in his life that he needed to be strong for; afraid that they would somehow find his newfound softness to be detrimental, that they would suddenly find him a liability.
You made him feel weak when all he knew was how to be strong, and the thought of being seen as anything other than what he had been created to be- useful, powerful, terrified him.
He didn't see any of those things when he looked at Yaomomo and Jiro.  All he saw was his friends, happy and in love; and all he felt was the icy vice of regret constricting on his heart.
"Yes," Shouto swallowed, remorse thick and unmoving in his throat.  "I think I have a lot to apologize for."
Tumblr media
Shouto had accomplished many difficult things in his life.  He'd survived an abusive childhood, escaped multiple attempts at fratricide as a teenager, and managed to muster up the necessary strength to begin building a tentative relationship with his Father as an adult.  These days Shouto could occupy the same room as Enji for nearly forty minutes before the urge to strangle him became too overwhelming, which was positively cordial by Todoroki family standards.
The combined difficulty of all those accomplishments paled in comparison to the one that sat before Shouto at this very moment: texting his ex-girlfriend.  He must have started the message a dozen times, trying varying levels of formality before deleting everything he wrote in frustration.
I'm sorry.
I know this is all my fault.
Please forgive me.
I wish we were still together.
I can't stop thinking of you.
Do you wake up every day as sad as I do?
All those messages were true, but discarded all the same.  It took all evening, but he finally came up with a message he was moderately happy with; hitting send before he could second guess himself.
Shouto, 8:57pm "I miss talking with you."
Shouto's chest clenched with anticipation as dots bounced across his phone screen, awaiting your incoming response.
Deku's Assistant, 8:58pm "I miss talking with you, too."
A wave of self-loathing rolled through him as your contact name flashed across his screen.  Had he really not even bothered to change your profile name when you'd started dating?  He really did manage to bungle pretty much every aspect of your relationship, didn't he?  You must have really cared for him to put up with his callousness for so long.
Deku's Assistant, 8:58pm "I've really been missing our friendship."
Shouto, 8:58pm "Me too." "Do you think enough time has passed for us to start talking again?"
Anxious minutes rolled by as Shouto awaited your response.
Deku's Assistant, 9:05pm "I don't know.  But I think I want to try."
Shouto's heart soared as his fingers flew across his screen, the jubilant smile stretched across his face so wide that his cheeks ached.
Shouto, 9:07pm "Oh, thank goodness.  I have so many pictures I need to show you."

Deku's Assistant, 9:08pm "Is that the cat near the Chinese Restaurant??"
Shouto, 9:08pm "Yes!  It turns out that she was pregnant, not fat."
Deku's Assistant, 9:09pm "I feel so bad making fun of her chunky tummy now."
Shouto, 9:09pm "Do you want to see her babies?"
Deku's Assistant, 9:09pm "YES!!!!"
Tumblr media
The joy of regaining your friendship was a balm to Shouto's soul.  He still longed for the intimacies you had shared and was pretty sure he would vividly remember the feeling of your teeth nibbling on his lower lip until his dying day.  But being able to talk with you about his work or offer a sympathetic ear while you vented about your temporary reassignment was positively elating after months of separation.
Currently, you were recounting a run-in with the catty Senior Receptionist in the Marketing Department, something that had been happening with increasing frequency the past couple of weeks.
"I have no clue what I did to offend her, if anything.  Maybe she just doesn't like me for some reason?" You sighed into the phone, the distant sound of keys jingling filling Shouto's ears.
"Impossible," Shouto scoffed as he opened up the fridge to peruse for something to heat up for dinner.  "Everybody likes you."
"That's not at all true, but I'll take the compliment.  I need it after today," you groaned, a sound Shouto knew accompanied you arriving home and sliding off your uncomfortable work shoes.
"Have you given any thought to transferring back to your old job?" Shouto asked, peeling back the corner of a container of leftovers to give the food inside a tentative sniff.
"I, uh, yes.  Actually.  I'm going to be transferring back later this week," you stammer, oddly nervous about such a mundane topic.
"Really?" Shouto pried, setting his container of food down on the counter to focus his attention on you.  "That's sudden."
"It's been in the works for a couple of weeks now, actually.  I just…didn't know how to bring it up."
"Because we'll be seeing each other in person again?"
"A little, maybe?  But I'm mostly moving back for HR Reasons," you said, inhaling deeply before continuing.  "Takai and I have…started seeing each other."
"Oh," Shouto breathed, stunned by your admission.  He knew that the two of you weren't dating anymore, but the sudden realization that you would be seeing other people sent him reeling completely off balance; scrambling to grasp his counter for support.
"I'm sorry," you said, tone anxious and shaky.  "I should have told you sooner, but things had been going so well and I didn't want to bring it up and ruin everything-"
"No," Shouto interrupted.  "You didn't do anything wrong.  Your personal life isn't any of my business.  Not anymore."
"I- I'm so glad," you sniffle.  "I don't know if I could bear not talking to you again."
"Does he…does Takai make you happy?" Shouto asked despite his better judgment.  There was no way that your answer would satisfy him.  But some part of his heart, the self-destructive portion that kept accepting Fuyumi's invitations to family dinners, needed to know.
"He does, Shouto.  He really does."
"I'm glad," Shouto lied, sinking slowly to the floor as his knees gave way.  "I need to go now.  Dinner awaits."
You bid your farewells and disconnected, leaving Shouto slumped against his fridge with the chill of his kitchen tiles seeping down into his bones.
Tumblr media
It was one thing to know you were dating another man, but seeing it in person turned out to be another matter entirely.  Shouto wasn't prepared for the sour sting of jealousy that curdled in his belly when he exited the elevator at Deku's agency and saw Takai doubled over, lips pressed firmly against yours.  You pulled away first, positively beaming up at him while you adjusted his tie before he straightened up to his full height and put himself out of reach of your tender ministrations.
You returned to your chair and startled once you registered Shouto's presence in your work space.
"Oh!  Shouto!  I'm so sorry, I didn't realize you were here," you grimaced, nervously turning a pen in your hands to distract from the awkward situation you suddenly found yourself plunged into.  You weren't exactly sure how you were supposed to officially introduce a new boyfriend to your ex, but having them drop in while you were kissing likely wasn't the best approach.
"It's alright," Shouto assured you with a brittle smile, nodding tersely to Takai who returned the gesture with a smug grin.  Shouto wanted to hate him for it, but remembered he'd done the same when he was in Takai's position; bolstered with pride from being on the receiving end of your affection.
With a parting wave, Shouto slid into Deku's office, collapsing into one of his empty chairs and burying his face into his hands, tears slipping through the gaps in his fingers while his friend scrambled for a tissue box.
"Shouto!" Izuku cried out, shoving a handful of crumpled tissues under his nose.  "What happened?"
"I- I've really lost her for good, haven't I?" Shouto croaked, taking the wad of tissues from Deku's hand and sloppily mopping at his cheeks.
"I think so," Izuku whispered, eyes misting sympathetically as he rubbed a calloused hand between Shouto's shoulder blades as he cried.

Likely sensing how uncomfortable running into your boyfriend had made Shouto, you had gone out of your way to minimize the amount of contact between the two of them.  You didn't mention Takai during your daily calls or texts unless necessary and Shouto hadn't run into the two of you together since that disastrous day in Deku's office, likely because you were maneuvering them around each other like a chess grandmaster shuffled pieces around the board.
While he knew that he would eventually have to get used to Takai if the two of you were to remain friends, Shouto still appreciated your willingness to give him space while he did so.  He always admired that kindness and compassion in you and would never admit that your efforts were ultimately futile because he would never grow accustomed to seeing someone else occupying the place at your side where he used to stand; the place where he still very much wanted to be.
Shouto reveled in this false world he had crafted around the two of you; where Takai existed somewhere in the periphery of his mind, a distant problem he need not consider unless absolutely necessary.  He knew more about you now than he ever did when you were together, the past distance between the two of you giving Shouto a newfound appreciation for every bit of time you spent together.  For the first time since your breakup, it felt like Shouto was approaching something that resembled peace in his life.
That happiness he felt, the equilibrium he had achieved, all came crashing down dramatically one unremarkable Thursday evening during your daily chat as you walked the final leg of your commute home from work.
"Shouto.  I need to tell you something," you began, a serious set to your words that put Shouto instantly on edge.
"What is it?"
"Takai asked me to marry him," you confessed.  "And I said yes."
"I- that's," Shouto paused in the middle of the sidewalk, people dodging around him with peevish glares as he struggled to reign in his racing thoughts.  "That's… great ."
"I didn't want you to hear it from someone else," you explained, voice suddenly muting as you pulled away from the phone to talk briefly with someone else.  "I have to go.  Some people down in Accounting are taking us out to celebrate."
"Have fun," Shouto croaked.  "And Congratulations.  Takai is a lucky man."
"Thank you," you whisper, a smile audible in the timbre of your voice.  "That means a lot, coming from you."
"Have a good time.  And be safe."
"I will.  Bye, Shouto."
"Good-bye," Shouto whispered, the sound of the dial tone fading seamlessly into the ringing in his ears as he spun on his heel and walked through the doorway of the closest bar.

"I'm so sorry to bother you, Mr. Deku, Sir," the bartender bladders, wringing his bar towel nervously with his clawed hands.  "I just- I didn't know who else to call?  This is just my second week working here and the manager never really covered what to do when a Pro Hero won't leave?  And I've seen you and Shouto together a lot on TV, so I figured that you might be friends and know how to handle this, but now that you're here I just realized that you probably have way more important stuff to do-"
Deku cut off the young man's panicked monologue with a raised hand and reassuring smile.
"You did the right thing by calling me.  I'll take it from here, okay?  Finish up whatever it is you need to do to close up and I'll be sure to have Shouto out by the time you're done."
"Yes, of course!  Thank you!" The bartender shouted, scrambling off to carry a tray of used glasses back into the kitchen.  Once he disappeared behind the back room door the smile slid from Izuku's face as he took in his long time friend, slumped over the bar with his head buried in his folded arms.  With a heavy sigh, Izuku slid onto the stool next to Shouto, the metal squealing in protest at his added weight.
"Hey, Shouto," Izuku greeted, patting his friend's shoulder firmly. "It's time to go.  You've more than worn out your welcome here, I'm afraid."
"Iz'ku?" Shouo slurred, rolling his head to face Deku with fiercely squinted eyes.  "When'd ya get here?"
"Just a moment ago."
"Oh.  Tha's a shame," Shouto sighed.  "If you got here eerly- earlly- sooner, we coulda had a drink t'gether."
"How about we drink these?" Izuku asked, fishing two large bottles of water out of his backpack and depositing one in front of Shouto.  Nose crinkled in distaste, Shouto cracked the seal on his bottle and started sipping, his hand icing over too cool down the water to his preferred chilly temperature.  They sat in a companionable silence, slowly working through their drinks and watching a replay of yesterday's baseball game on the TV hung crookedly from the ceiling above the bar's framed liquor license.
"My ex- she's gettin' married," Shouto said, drawing a finger through a bead of condensation along the bar top.
"I know.  The entire office was in an uproar over it.  She brought me a slice of cake."
"Was it good?"
"It was alright," Izuku shrugged.  "A little dry, but the icing made up for it.
"Tha's good.  She deserves good things.  All the good things," Shouto nodded, the weight of his own head surprising him as it flopped from front to back.
"Takai is good for her," Deku said, swinging back the last of his water before slipping the empty bottle back into his bag.
"Takai," Shouto hissed.  "Wha' makes him so special anyway?  Why does she like him better than me?  He's too tall!  I bet his Grandfather was a pair of stilts."
"Shouto!  I know you're sad, but that's no excuse to be cruel.  Takai is a good man who treats her well," Izuku chided, poking the arm Shouto was holding his water with to remind him to keep drinking.  Reluctantly, Shouto took another mouthful of water, swishing it between his cheeks thoughtfully.
"He treats her better than I ever did."
"He does," Izuku agreed sadly.
"I wish- I wish I could go back.  Do it all different.  Do y'know someone with a time travel Quirk?"
"I- yes, actually," Izuku admitted reluctantly.  "But I'm not going to let you create an alternate timeline because your ex moved on and you're sad about it."
"Ugh," Shouto grunted. "Why do you always have to be so reapons- responsible?"
"Comes with the job, I'm afraid.  You're supposed to be responsible too, you know."
"Lame," Shouto sighed, throwing back the last of his water and passing the empty bottle to Deku.
"Sure is," Izuku laughed.  "I thought Pro Heroes were so cool growing up, but it turns out we're all a bunch of party pooping killjoys."
"So wha' am I s'posed to do now?"
"Well, that depends," Deku huffed, scratching at his chin thoughtfully.  "Were you just friends with her because you were hoping to get back together with her someday?"
"No," Shouto cried emphatically.  "I won't lie an' say I wasn't hoping for that, but I'm friends with her because we're good friends.  She's good.  And she makes me want to be gooder."
"That's… good, " Izuku snorted, amused at his friend's expense.
"Yeah," Shouto grinned enthusiastically, his eyes glossy and unfocused. "It is!"
"So if she's a good friend, you need to be a good friend in return.  Talk to her.  Support her.  But step back and take a breather if it gets to be too much for you to handle.  There's no need for you to set yourself on fire here."
"Unless's an emergency," Shouto muttered seriously, staring down at his left hand in contemplation.  "I'm definitely supposed to light m'self on fire in an emergency.  That's half my job."

Unwavering romantic feelings aside and unmentioned, things were going relatively well between you and Shouto.  Once the initial shock of your engagement wore off, he was able to resume calling and messaging you on a regular basis.  He did need to take a few days off of work when your wedding invitation arrived at his apartment, a simple but elegantly penned note printed on crisp ivory paper that overwhelmed him with thoughts of a future he wasn't prepared to deal with at that particular moment in time.
But he liked to think he was handling things much better these days.
"Hey, Natsuo?" Shouto called, holding up two delicate plates for inspection.  "Which china set best conveys the message 'Congratulations, but I secretly hope your marriage fails so I can have a second chance with you?'  Is it Wedgwood?"
"Lemme see," Natsuo said as he took the plates into his hand, angling them to and fro under the dim store lights to get a better look at the delicate patterns.
"Shouto," Fuyumi scolded gently, returning a pale blue tea cup to the display shelf. "There's no need to put yourself through this.  We can just order something off the registry and call it a day."
"No," Shouto said firmly, picking up a salad plate and immediately setting it down with a disapproving frown.  "I want to do this for her."
"Alright," Fuyumi sighed in defeat, wandering over to a display of shining silver teapots.  "How about one of these?"
"It needs to be china," Shouto insisted, staring critically at an oval serving platter with a brocade print running along the rim.
"It reminds me of her."
"You're gonna' need to elaborate on that, Little Bro," Natsuo drawled, his attention still primarily focused on the plates Shouto had passed to him.
"She's…delicate, but strong," Shouto explained, running a finger admiringly across the golden rim of a gravy boat.  "And even though you see her every day, you're still stuck by her beauty- a timeless elegance you can't help but admire."
"Shouto," Fuyumi cooed, clutching the teapot to her chest.  "That's so sweet!"
"Also, dishes are something you use repeatedly.  So if I give them to her I guarantee she'll have to think of me during every meal," Shouto grinned deviously.
"I think you definitely want the Wedgwood then," Natsuo confirmed, sliding the rejected plate back into its stand.  "It's too expensive for her to give away without feeling guilty."
"Perfect!" Shouto beamed, waving the dinner plate in the air and using it to flag down a passing salesperson, their face instantly paling as they witnessed the lack of care Shouto was showing their unpurchased merchandise.
"You shouldn't have encouraged him to be so petty," Fuyumi chastised, walloping Natsuo soundly on the bicep.
"Hey!" He winced, rubbing at the spot his sister hit.  "This is the most excited Shouto has been in months.   If buying spite plates makes him happy, then who am I to judge?" Natsuo shrugged, fishing his phone from his jacket pocket to check on his missed messages.
"I guess," Fuyumi mused, chewing on her lip.  "It's pretty harmless in the end, right?  She gets a nice set of dinnerware and Shouto is satisfied."
"Yep," Natuso agreed, still engrossed in his phone.
"I'll go help him pick out some wrapping paper then," Fuyumi smiled, shuffling off to look at the display wall of wrapping options while the salesperson who had been helping Shouto rang up his purchase with a dazed expression, unable to do the mental math to calculate just how high their commission was going to be.

To say that Shouto became increasingly distracted as your wedding day drew near was a profound misrepresentation of events.  Emotionally, he was in shambles and it was beginning to impact his work.  Distracted and slow, he was taking more hits than ever before and limping home after clocking out more often than not.  His sidekicks had taken it upon themselves to make sure he never patrolled alone; creating an unofficial schedule that kept him under someone's watchful eye every shift for the foreseeable future.
They thought they were being secretive about it, but the signup sheet was just taped up on the wall of the sidekick locker room.  The custodian had discovered it the day it was initially hung and reported it to him immediately. Shouto had been so touched by his subordinates' show of concern for his well-being that he ignored their less than clandestine whispering and did his best to pretend to be unaware of their scheming.  He was absolutely indulging them, but he also appreciated their constant company more than he could adequately express.
It was hard to be alone right now.
So when they were alerted to a villain attack a couple blocks away, the odds were in their favor; a top ranking hero with a familiar partner in tow usually made for a devastating combination most villains didn't stand a chance against.
But it seemed like everything that could have possibly gone wrong did.  Physical attacks from both him and Ice Pick, his sidekick du jour, weren't landing.  Their Quirks were sluggish and misfiring, Ice Pick had lost her footing and stumbled into his side; knocking him off balance as well.  The evidence was quickly pointing to some sort of luck manipulation Quirk that they had no idea how to counter.
"Any ideas, Boss?" Ice Pick panted, sending a blast of needle-sharp icicles the Villain's way and screeching in frustration when they all miraculously managed to miss their target.
"Nothing immediately comes to mind," Shouto grunted, ducking behind a parked car to take stock of the situation.  "I think our best course of action is to keep him distracted until backup arrives.  Call back to the agency and make sure whoever is en route is equipped with Quirk repressing gear."
"Roger that!"
Shouto rolled out from his cover, throwing out a flare blast he knew wouldn't connect, but would hopefully drive the villain away from the cram school he had been encroaching on.  Ice Pick, having finished relaying messages back to headquarters, was quick to return to his side.
"Back up due to arrive momentarily."
Shouto opened his mouth to respond to her, but caught sight of something in the distance that pulled his attention away.  Speeding towards the villain in front of them at breakneck speed was what looked like a cannonball, but with a slight wobble around the edges like it wasn't fully solid.  Given what he ascertained about the trajectory of projectiles lobbed at the villain, Shouto knew it would never connect with its intended target and would instead deflect right towards where Ice Pick was standing.
"WATCH OUT," Shouto bellowed, pushing Ice Pick out of the way and coating his right side in a thick layer of ice to absorb the force of the impending blow.  The projectile made contact and swept Shouto off his feet and sent him flying backwards off of the street and through the glass window of a nearby shop.  High pitched screeches and cries rang out around him as he finally came skidding to a stop in the middle of the floor, large groups of women scrambling to escape the destruction he left in his wake.  Employees wearing bright fluorescent vests were doing their best to funnel the panicking customers back through the emergency exit, but a few stragglers hung back to record the goings on with their cell phones until the very last moment.
With a groan, Shouto pushed himself up into a sitting position, hand darting up tenderly cradle his obviously broken ribs with a pained hiss.
"Shit," he swore lowly, ignoring the sharp pains in his side and the crackling sound that accompanied every breath.
"Shouto!" he heard someone scream through the ringing in his ears, assuming it was Ice Pick rushing to his aide as he slowly shifted until he was on all fours, grasping onto the arm of a nearby chair to keep upright as his vision wavered.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" You screech, pushing down on his shoulders to keep him from attempting to pull himself up into a standing position.  "You are seriously injured, Shouto!  Stay down !"
Shouto's head snapped towards you, which was a mistake because the sudden movement made a wave of nausea roll through him.  Swallowing down the bile creeping up his esophagus, he was able to finally focus his attention on you.  If it wasn't for his agonizing injuries Shouto was fairly certain he would have thought he was in heaven as you knelt next to him, an absolute vision in a white dress with delicately pearls glimmering in the fluctuating light from the emergency strobe lamps.
"What are you doing here?" Shouto managed to mumble, distracted by the delicate swooping of your exposed collar bone.  He always loved running kisses across it- you always laughed while he did so, scrunching up your shoulders and burrowing in on yourself in an attempt to protect the delicate flesh from his wandering lips.
He missed that.
He also missed what you were just saying.
"-on wedding dresses."
"Oh," Shouto wheezed, blinking at you owlishly.  "You look really beautiful."
"Thanks," you smiled, pushing on his shoulders until he was laying down on the floor, his head pooled in the fluffy fabric of your skirt, staring up at you with a dopey grin.  "You know, if you wanted to come dress shopping with me you could have just asked.  This is a bit dramatic even for you."
Shouto barked out a laugh and then immediately groaned as his lungs sharply protested his sudden mirth.  "Stop being charming," Shouto chided, eyes tracing over the tucks and folds of the bodice of your dress. "I can't handle you at full power right now."
"I'll tone it down then," you sniffled, running a shaking hand through his mussed hair, pulling out tiny slivers of glass with careful fingers and flicking them behind you carelessly.
"Is this it?" Shouto mumbled, his lips slick with a mixture of spittle and blood.
"Is what it?  What do you mean?" You asked worriedly, prying and eyelid open to examine his pupil.
"The dress," Shouto clarified with a rattling sigh, frowning when tiny red dots suddenly bloomed across the pristine white fabric.  "Is this the one?"
"Oh," you breathe in relief, letting go of his eyelid and returning to running your fingers along his scalp.  "Yeah.  I think this is the one."
"'s perfect," Shouto whispered, eyelids growing heavy as the edges of his vision darkened.  "Defin'ly buy this one…"
"Shou-!  -ay awake!" You cried, tears streaming down your face while Shouto buried his face into your stomach, inhaling the scent of your skin layered underneath the fragrance of starch from the dress; snippets of your words filtering through his brain like a sieve.
"-ncussion!  Stay awake!  Ple-!"
"I already call-"
"-Deku is on-"
And then there was silence.

The road to recovery was far longer than Shouto would have liked.  Any sort of brain injury booked you an immediate and non negotiable week long stay in the Hero Intensive Care Unit with CT scans scheduled daily.  Shouto flitted in and out of consciousness for a couple of days until they pulled back on his meds, and from there on out he made steady improvement, suffering through never ending days of under salted meals and reciting his ABCs backwards to prove his brain was in fine working order.
Half-way through his stay he was visited by a deeply apologetic Gunhead and his terrified Intern, Cannon Blob, who had been the one that had lobbed the projectile that had taken Shouto out.
"Hot shot here broke protocols and rushed ahead without me," Gunhead explained as Cannon Blob repeatedly bowed at Shouto's bedside, his lips wobbling as a constant stream of apologies tumbled from his mouth.  "I told him he's lucky you were able to push Ice Pick out of the way and throw up some sort of shield.  If you hadn't, he'd be visiting a grave instead of a hospital."
Shouto looked at the terrified Intern, still just a kid struggling to learn the cruel rules of the adult game they had signed their life away to play.  The reformed Hero Commission had raised the age for entering into Heroism after the war, the world rightfully opposed to the government keeping the gears of society greased with the blood of child soldiers.  But even with the increase in age, Cannon Blob just looked so young . Too young , really.
With a weary sigh, Shouto dropped his hand down onto Cannon Blob's shoulder, interrupting his frantic bowing with a firm squeeze.
"Take this experience to heart," Shouto said, pausing to cough gently into the crook of his arm.  "Learn from this mistake and follow through with that lesson; don't fall back into the same bad habits that led you to today."
"I will!" Cannon Blob blubbered, wiping his tears on his uniform sleeves.  "I promise I will, Shouto!"
"See that you do.  Gunhead is an excellent mentor.  Listen to him and I know you'll become a Hero I'll enjoy working with in the future."
"Thanks Shouto," Gunhead nodded, steering Cannon Blob away from his bedside and towards the door.  "Tell you Old Man I said 'Hello'".
"I'd rather take another hit from Cannon Blob," Shouto stated blandly, a corner of his mouth curling at the sound of Gunhead's booming laugh echoing down the hospital hallway.

It was still a good stretch of time before Shouto was allowed back into the field.  It was nice being back in his office at first, a welcomed change to the sterile environment the hospital offered, but he quickly grew restless on desk duty and looked for any reason to get out and stretch his legs during the day.
So he accompanied his company gofers on coffee runs, lugged packages around the mailroom, and hand delivered high-level clearance messages between nearby agencies.  Today's errand run took him by Deku's office, a place that he'd been avoiding for a while now.
You'd been unable to visit him in the hospital since civilians are banned from entering unless they were the emergency contact or direct family members or of the patient, and he'd delayed replacing his phone right away to buy himself a couple extra days of contemplation before he had to speak with you again.
While a lot of the accident was at this point a hazy blur in his memories, the image of you in that wedding dress was seared into his brain like no other sight had been before.  You were there every time he closed his eyes, invading his dreams in that flowing white dress.  More often than not his visions followed a rough outline of the actual event, with Shouto's head cradled in your lap while you ran your hands across his face with a tender smile.  But sometimes his brain would rearrange things to its liking, depositing you at the end of a long aisle and having you march steadily towards him.
And once he had thought about you reaching him, a bouquet of fluffy chrysanthemums tightly grasped in your hands as you grinned up at him so sweetly that it made his teeth ache; he just couldn't find a way to stop.
He didn't know how he could face you, knowing with absolute clarity how radiant you'd be as a bride.
But not as his bride.
The future he dreamed about wasn't his to claim.  He felt a fleeting moment of kinship to his Father, wondering if this is how he felt standing in All Might's shadow for so many years; success somehow both tantalizingly close and impossibly far from his grasp.
When he'd finally switched his SIM card over to his new phone and booted it up, he was inundated with missed calls and texts; his inbox filling up faster than he could answer them, most of them from you.  Shouto had assured you that he was fine, but convalescent and in no shape to entertain visitors.  After double checking that he didn't need anything, you had backed off and resumed your normal messaging routine; occasional texts throughout the day and a quick call while walking home that Shouto let ring more often than he picked up.
With a fortifying breath as the elevator ascended to Deku's top office, Shouto prepared to face you for the first time since the bridal boutique.  The elevator doors whooshed open and Shouto strode purposefully towards your desk, a neutral look settled on his face that would hopefully not alert you to the panicked thundering of his heart.
"Of course.  Yes, I understand.  I'll relay the message immediately," you spoke into the phone receiver perched on your shoulder, fingers flying across your computer keyboard as you logged some sort of information for future reference.  "Thank you for returning my call so quickly.  Have a wonderful day!"
Dropping the receiver into its base, you finally turned to address the new visitor, routine greeting evaporating off of your tongue when you realized who was standing in front of you.
"Shouto!" You cried, leaping up from your chair so quickly you stumbled a bit as you rounded the desk and threw your arms around Shouto's neck with a sob.  "You're okay!  You're really okay!  I was so worried!"
"I'm alright," Shouto mumbled soothingly, wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you further into his embrace.
"I was so scared," you cried into his shoulder.
"I'm sorry."
"Don't apologize," you sniffled, eyes red as you wiped at your tears with the back of your hands.  "Just try to pass out a little less ostentatiously next time, okay?"
"I'll do my best," Shouto promised, passing you the handkerchief he had tucked into his back pocket.  You accepted his offering with a grateful smile, blowing your nose with an unbecoming honk as you tried to regain your composure.
"Okay," you stated firmly, squaring your shoulders and moving back to your desk chair.  "I'm sure you're here on official business, so I'll stop monopolizing your time.  Deku's free so you can head on in."
Moving past your desk, Shouto drew to an abrupt halt when he noticed the new addition to your desk decorations; a fluffy brown Koala dressed up in a replica of his Hero costume.
"You bought one of the Kodoroki dolls?" Shouto asked, picking the stuffed animal up and running a finger over the pink patch of fur around its left eye with a fond smile.
"Of course I did!  I couldn't resist supporting my favorite Hero and a cute koala at the same time!  No woman is that strong," you sighed with a helpless shrug.
"I'm your favorite Hero?" Shouto whispered in awe.  "Still?  Even after- after how poorly I treated you when we were together?"
"You weren't so bad," you generously offered up in his defense.
"I was a pig-headed, callous idiot," he reminded you flatly.
"You definitely had your faults as a boyfriend," you agreed with a laugh, taking Kodoroki back from his hands and fluffing his ears to your liking before returning him to his place of honor next to your computer monitor.  "But I can't imagine a greater Hero than you."
"How thick are these doors?" Shouto whispered, hitching a thumb towards your boss's office.  "Is your job in Jeopardy if Deku overhears you supporting another Hero?"
"Please," you scoff dismissively, bopping Kodoroki on the nose before you log back onto your PC to resume working.  "He has no place to judge when his office can double as an official satellite location for the All Might Museum."
